RT EXCLUSIVEBlaming Russia for everything is ‘insane’ & reminiscent of McCarthyism – Oliver Stone to RT

As the US continues to accuse Russia of meddling in its presidential election, RT has spoken to filmmaker Oliver Stone about the ongoing trend of blaming Moscow for everything – from hacking Western politics to planting bots on social media.
Speaking to RT's Sophie Shevardnadze, three-time Oscar winner Stone said the policy of blaming Russia for everything is irrational. "Of course, the United States scares me in the sense that it might lose its self-control and out of a sense of panic and fear, attack.”

© Randy Credico‘US wants phony Russiagate probe kept alive’: NY comedian summoned over Assange interview tells RT
"This concept that Russia is responsible for everything is insane, but it’s very easy to resort to that kind of early 1950s primitivism like Joe McCarthy did."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Stone is entirely right in his assessment, but he doesn't quite go the extra analytical step; demonization of any country is generally a prelude to a war against it, as are inflicting sanctions for stuff a country never did, and in Russia's case, it DID NOT annex Crimea.

But Crimea's having held two referendums to first, determine if its people wanted to leave Ukraine in 2014, after the US sponsored putsch, then petitioning the Russian Federation to become a member, is not at all matching the US government's narrative that Russia "annexed Crimea", therefore, the US had the moral "justification" to punish it with sanctions.

US Household Debt Is Rising 60% Faster Than Wages, And One Rating Agency Is Worried

The debt level for the first three quarters of 2017 has continued to increase above the previous record debt level which was established in the third quarter of 2008 as shown in Exhibit 1 below.

Video Shared By Trump Featured US-Backed FSA Commander Destroying Virgin Mary Statue In Syria

While Trump's Twitter activity from yesterday continues to drive media and political outrage, especially in the UK, and with the focus of the frenzied coverage being that the president retweeted a far-right U.K. leader's "anti-Muslim videos", there is actually something much more interesting concerning the context to the “Muslim Destroys A Statue Of Virgin Mary” video.

That particular video shared by the president is from 2013 and shows a Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander named Omar Gharba destroying a Virgin Mary statue as the group invaded a Syrian Christian town. In a geopolitical and deeply ironic twist demonstrating the absurdity and contradictions of US foreign policy, the radical Islamist commander was actually supported by the United States at the time as part of the FSA, which the media and US government deemed "moderate".

Collecting Russian DNA? Confronting the Threat of Ethnic-Specific Bioweapons

The United States Air Force’s 59th Medical Wing’s molecular biology branch recently was revealed to have been collecting specifically Russian RNA and synovial (connective) tissue samples, prompting fears in Russia of a possible US directed ethnic-specific bioweapons program.

TeleSUR’s article, “‘Ethnic Bomb’ Feared as US Air Force Confirms Collection of Russian DNA,” would report:

Russia has raised its concerns over attempts by the U.S. military to collect DNA samples from Russian nationals, noting the potential use of such biological samples for the purpose of creating new genetic warfare weaponry.

The U.S. Air Force has sought to calm the Kremlin’s concerns, noting that the samples would only be used for so-called “research” purposes rather than for bioterrorism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF any element of the US government or military says something is not so, it most probably is; we have just become accustomed to their lying so completely that plausible deniability cannot possibly work for them.

And if they are not working on a biological weapon against the Russian people, what other possible motive could they have for doing this?!?

The short answer in, none whatsoever.

Israel to Coordinate with Google, YouTube, to Censor Palestinian Videos of Conflict

The Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Member of Knesset Tzipi Hotovely, held meetings this week with representatives of YouTube and Google, to find ways of cooperating to censor Palestinian videos from occupied Palestine, videos she dubbed as “inciting violence and terrorism.” Israeli daily Maariv said Hotovely will be working with Google and YouTube officials in a joint mechanism that will be in charge of “monitoring and preventing” any publication of materials deemed by Tel Aviv to be “inflammatory.”

Hotovely announced in a Hebrew-only press release that she met with YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, and Google’s Director of Public Policy, Jennifer Oztzistzki, at Google’s Silicon Valley Offices.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Palestinians have utterly no justification for being upset, ever, at their treatment by the Israeli military and government's occupation, and all that upsets them must be completely censored from public view.

But don't worry; these stories can, and will, and need to, get out there, and they will.

Not EVER as a basis for violence, but as a testament to what a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons believes it can do to its minority population, and with absolute impunity.

Is Trump Going to Lie Our Way Into War With Iran?

A decade and a half ago, in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, President George W. Bush’s administration conjured up not only terrifying images of nuclear mushroom clouds but also of Saddam Hussein plotting with Osama bin Laden to attack the United States.

Mr. Bush himself declared that Mr. Hussein “aids and protects terrorists, including members of Al Qaeda” while Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld called links between Iraq and Al Qaeda “accurate and not debatable.”

It wasn’t true, of course. But it helped make the case for war.

That may be why a similar lie is getting trotted out again now, except this time the target is Iraq’s neighbor, Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The President would do well to remember; a war against Iran will probably mean war with Russia, whose political and military leadership have consistently, and collectively gone on record as stating that Russia will defend Iran, should it be attacked militarily.

And, as evidenced by their astounding victories in Syria, the Russian military has weaponry which actually works.

Nov 30 11:47

Trump’s Mission Creep in Syria

The U.S. military presence in Syria is set to continue indefinitely:

The justification for this continued presence is bizarre:

An abrupt U.S. withdrawal could complete Assad’s sweep of Syrian territory and help guarantee his political survival — an outcome that would constitute a win for Iran, his close ally.

To avoid that outcome, U.S. officials say they plan to maintain a U.S. troop presence in northern Syria — where the Americans have trained and assisted the SDF against the Islamic State — and establish new local governance, apart from the Assad government, in those areas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder just how long Russia will put up with this nonsense before it responds militarily.

Russia was invited by the Syrian government to assist it in getting rid of the Jihadis; the US government was not.

North Korea’s Nuclear Power Declaration Could Be a Prelude to Talks

Following Tuesday’s missile test, North Korea has declared itself a full nuclear power, saying they have the ability to deliver a “super-large heavy warhead” anywhere within the mainland United States now.

The declaration is presented by some US officials as just grandstanding, but it might also portend a shift in North Korea’s strategy, and open up the possibility of real negotiations with the United States.

After all, North Korea has been very open about its goals in developing missiles and nuclear weapons being a deterrent force to prevent US attacks on them. This latest missile test may have been the culmination of that.

Analysts note that while there are still questions about North Korea’s missiles, the fact that they could plausibly fire a nuclear weapon at New York City at this point, even if it’s not with 100% certainty, should be enough to deter a US first strike.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope, with all my heart, that this blogger is correct in his assessment.

But with Kim Jung Un, will....enough deterrent ever be really "enough deterrent"?!?

Report: Trump Is Expected to Announce Embassy Move to Jerusalem

Trump is reportedly going to announce that the U.S. embassy in Israel will be moving to Jerusalem:

The Israeli government considers it extremely likely that US President Donald Trump will declare in the next few days that he recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and that he is instructing his officials to prepare to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, an Israeli TV report claimed Wednesday.

The Hadashot news report came a day after US Vice President Mike Pence said Trump was “actively considering” moving the US embassy.

Presidents have routinely issued a waiver to block the relocation of the embassy for more than twenty years. Trump signed a waiver to this effect in June, and the next deadline comes up on Friday. Like many previous presidential candidates, Trump had promised during his campaign to relocate the embassy if elected. If this report is correct, it seems that he may follow through.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Should he do this on Friday, it will be a clumsy, reckless move, demonstrating, in absolute finality, that the US government is patholotically impotent of being an honest broker of peace in the Middle East.

North Korea sanctionsDonald Trump asks Xi Jinping to cut off North Korea’s oil supply to stop nuclear programme

US President Donald Trump asked President Xi Jinping to halt all oil shipments to North Korea to stop its neighbour’s nuclear weapons programme following Pyongyang’s test launch of a ballistic missile experts say could reach the US mainland.

“President Trump called Chinese President Xi [Jinping] this morning and told him that we’ve come to the point where China must cut off the oil from North Korea. That would be a pivotal step in the world’s effort to stop this international pariah,” Washington’s United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said.

“We know the main driver of [North Korea’s] nuclear production is oil,” Haley said on Wednesday at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
The Security Council meeting pitted the US, Japan and its other allies against China and Russia, which accused the US of intensifying North Korea’s determination to develop nuclear weapons capability. Haley also accused China of not enforcing existing sanctions against North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to say, regarding stiffening North Korea's resolve to develop a steerable, targetable nuclear missle, capable of hitting the US, the Chinese Ambassador is entirely correct, that the US is completely ignoring the joint Russian/Chines proposal of "suspension for suspension", which may give negotiations a slight chance of moving forward.

It appears, with President Trump, his approach represents a "My way, or the highway!" kind of thinking.

This is absolutely the polar opposite of the approach he, Nikki Haley, Mattis, and Tillerson should be taking, to get some real tangible progress moving here.

Trump talks to Jinping after Pyongyang's ICBM launch, says US to impose more sanctions on North Korea

The US will impose additional "major sanctions" on North Korea for its latest missile test, President Donald Trump said today as he spoke to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to press Pyonyang to halt its "provocative actions".
During the phone call, Trump underscored the determination of the US to defend itself and its allies from the growing threat posed by the North Korean regime, the White House said.

The two leaders discussed North Korea's latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch, it said.

The missile was launched from Sain Ni, North Korea yesterday, and travelled about 1000 km before splashing down in the Sea of Japan, within Japan's Economic Exclusion Zone.

"Just spoke to President Xi Jinping of China concerning the provocative actions of North Korea. Additional major sanctions will be imposed on North Korea today. This situation will be handled!" Trump tweeted.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder: just what does President Trump have left to throw at North Korea in terms of sanctions?!?

The optics of these kinds of sanctions would be thoroughly lousy, but it is possible Trump believes that they are the only methods left to avoid a military confrontation with Pyongyang.

And what of China's real influence here?!? A senior Chinese diplomat flew to Pyongyang a couple of weeks ago, but was rebuffed by Kim Jung Un.
Did North Korea's Kim Jung Un Just Slap China in the Face?!? This was as big an insult as Kim could possibly hurl at their benefactor, China, and yet he believed he could get away with it with impunity.

And if President Trump supports a military solution to the North Korean issue before the US or coalition members are actually attacked, how is China going to respond?!?

Morgan Stanley is one of the world's largest banks, so naturally it has racked up a long list of frauds, crimes, and misdemeanors, which it has emerged from largely unscathed, thanks to the unwillingness of governments to tackle corporate crime, especially in the finance sector.

So it's not surprising that Morgan Stanley’s European equity team has issued a report warning that the returns to its shareholders will be hurt more by Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party taking office than it would suffer as a result of even the most catastrophic, bungled Brexit under the Tories (who never met a crooked banker they didn't love and solicit donations from).

It's a surprising and frank admission from the bank, that its profits rely more on friendly governments than they do on competent ones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And yet with all their crimes, both in the US and UK, no banking executive ever goes to jail for the crimes they have committed.

What's wrong with this picture?!? EVERYTHING!!

“Technology is far better at matching identities than humans alone,” said Dan Tancier, the CBP Field Operations official in charge of the biometric program for entry and exit into the country. “That’s a given.”

Congress may also make sweeping updates to DHS mandates. Border security legislation, sponsored by Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, explicitly calls for border security officials to utilize facial recognition technology “to the greatest extent practicable.”

Experts, however, are raising concerns about the potential for abuses and errors — and especially the preservation of privacy. Harrison Rudolph, a law fellow at Georgetown University’s Center on Privacy and Technology, said the DHS’s facial recognition programs “aren’t ready for takeoff.” Rudolph said that the agency has not elucidated specific rules to limit data collection, retention, and reuse with regard to facial recognition technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Very soon, Americans can expect utterly no privacy whatsoever, either inside, or outside of their homes.

Every word spoken, not only on the phones but in your homes, will be survielled, collected, and analyzed; every time you take a trip to your local store, your travel patterns will be analyzed; and every keystroke on every computer you use will be logged and stored.

Americans with kids and skills, please get the hell out of this country while you still can; the utterly dystopian future that George Orwell predicted in his novel "1984" is nearly upon us in this country.

Trying to predict the outcome of any encounter with the police is a bit like playing Russian roulette: most of the time you will emerge relatively unscathed, although decidedly poorer and less secure about your rights, but there’s always the chance that an encounter will turn deadly.

For instance, it was just a year ago, in the early morning hours of Dec. 1, 2016, when Gregory Tucker, a young African-American man, was pulled over by Louisiana police for a broken taillight.

What should have been a routine traffic stop became yet another example of police brutality in America.

Contrary to common belief, Israel supported Iran’s Islamic Republic for more than a decade in the 1980s before shifting its favors to Saudi Arabia in the 1990s and making sure the U.S. followed suit, recalls Ted Snider.

At first, American officials couldn’t believe it. In 1993, the Israelis began pressuring the Clinton administration to view Iran as the greatest global threat. Only a short time earlier, in the 1980s, Israel had been cooperating with the Iranians militarily and selling them weapons to fight Iraq in the Iran-Iraq War.

Now, Tel Aviv wants regime change in Tehran, but only at the costs of American blood, and American money.

The president has boasted of being Israel's "biggest friend," and Mr. Kushner, Mr. Greenblatt and Mr. Friedman are all Orthodox Jews with ties to Israel ... Looking for an American bipartisan issue? Try the fight against BDS

In fact, nearly half the states in the country - regardless of political majority - support anti-Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) legislation, belying the popular narrative that Israel has become a polarizing issue ... That there are now 24 states in the nation to have anti-BDS laws is a testament to that bipartisanship. With Executive Order no. 261 Wisconsin became the most recent state nationwide to pass a law prohibiting discriminatory boycotts of Israel in state contracting ... Some laws require states to divest public pension funds from companies that boycott Israel. Some prevent states from contracting with companies. Some do both ... The Texas law prohibits any state pension fund from investing in any country that boycotts Israel and no government entity can purchase any goods or services from a company that boycotts Israel.
Note: How can an elected representative with dual Israeli citizenship support the United States? They can't.

Taibbi: New Drone Strikes Underscore How Much Power We Give Trump

While all of us were preparing for Thanksgiving dinner, the United States was busy preparing an attack on the Yemeni province of Badhya.

Residents later reported that the region spent much of the day under attack from Saudi jets and American drones, which hovered overhead and intermittently fired missiles from above.

The attacks were described as a success in most Western newspapers. The Daily Mail in London highlighted the fact that "10 Al-Qaeda Suspects" were killed in the attacks, as confirmed by government officials.

One minority-ish report by Gulf News Yemen, one of the few on-the-ground sources that covers such attacks, had details of the killings. Quoting an on-the-ground activist, it added:

"The recent US drone strikes have also killed five civilians, displaced residents and caused panic in the two areas."

Drone strikes have intensified since Donald Trump assumed the presidency.

Trump on Missile Launch: We'll Take Care of It

President Trump’s surprise Tuesday press statement, mere hours after North Korea launched its latest test ICBM, had surprisingly little to do with North Korea, with President Trump prefacing his comments with an assurance that he’ll “take care of it.”

This is unusual, as Trump has tended to offer very bellicose screeds at every sign of North Korean activity, and talks of “totally destroying” the reclusive nation militarily. Trump followed this up with Twitter statements condemning illegal immigration and presenting North Korea’s test as proof it’s more important than ever to fund his agenda.

The American Dream Has Been Irreparably Broken

U.S. Senator James W. Fulbright (1905-1995) The Arrogance of Power, 1966.

Despite having met and befriended some fine Americans over the years, my long-held opinion of the U.S. in particular and the American people in general — an opinion confirmed after I read Senator Fulbright’s book in the late 60s — has not only remained doggedly unchanged, but has in fact become more entrenched and pessimistic. Such entrenched pessimism stems from the inescapable truth that regardless of an illusory concept of the “American exceptionalism” that arrogantly presumes to present itself as the “superpower” champion of democracy and human rights, the U.S. is in reality the world’s biggest violator of the very ideals it so hypocritically claims to champion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sadly, post World War II, the "American Dream" has morphed into the American nightmare, with jobs offshored/outsourced, and the former American middle class forced into a downward spiral of diminishng returns, increasing debt, and decreasing possibilites of escape from their economic circumstances.

The growth of the bloated US military around the world, and it's position as "Enforcer" of US government rights to expropriate resources globally to which it has no moral right, is absolutely in inverse proportion to the economic status of American citizens here at home.

Finally, our "alleged representatives" in Washington are only the property of the corporations which own them, and do not at all represent the concerns and wishes of the people who put them in office.

Can’t You See War on the Horizon?

According to news reports in the British press, Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed Russia’s industries to prepare themselves to be able to make a quick switch to war production.

Clearly, the Russian government would not make such an announcement unless it was convinced that the prospect of war with the West was real. For some time I have emphasized in my columns that the consequence of years of hostile actions taken by Washington and its European vassals against Russia was leading to war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The war I see coming is bigger than just between the US government and Russia.

The demonization of Russia, North Korea, and Iran continues apace.

And note, of late, an attempted "linkage" between North Korea and Iran, regarding North Korea's weapons program.

Demonization, coupled with sanctions, are nearly always a prelude to war.

I hope to hell that I am wrong, but I see a world war coming to this planet, within this next year, and one which will bring back the draft, in this country, of both our young men and our young women.
