HORRIFYING VIDEO SHOWS MULTIPLE COPS KICK, TASER, CRUSH MENTALLY ILL MAN UNTIL HE DIED

The tragic incident began to unfold on August 3, 2016, when Thompson was arrested. His family and girlfriend reported that Thompson is bipolar and had been off his medication for some time. During the bipolar episode, Thompson, who has no previous criminal record, was arrested on charges of domestic battery.

The clearly distressed man exhibited severe signs of mental distress and was unable to be booked, so he was placed in a holding cell. For hours after being arrested, Thompson jammed his fingers into his ears. He paced, clutched his head and stuffed toilet paper into his ears. He spent hours on the floor curled up in the fetal position before peeling off his scabby skin to use his own blood to draw on the floor, walls, and camera.

Heavily armored deputies in riot gear then raided Thompson’s cell to drag him out.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this is how "to protect and serve" is translated by the Reno police, in dealing with severely emotionally disturbed people, I will never, ever go there.

If you are thinking about Reno as a destination for a convention of symposium, please think again; what was visited on this man could be visited on anyone who comes as a tourist to this city, even though they are not doing anything which seems either criminal, or displaying emotionally distraught behaviour.

THE FBI DIRECTOR’S UNSETTLING ARGUMENT FOR WHY WIKILEAKS DOESN’T DESERVE FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTION

FBI Director James Comey offered some of the clearest indications yet that the United States government remains committed to prosecuting WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Julian Assange. He stated WikiLeaks is an “important focus” of intelligence agencies.

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Comey attempted to distinguish WikiLeaks from outlets like the New York Times or the Washington Post. He acknowledged the First Amendment rights journalists have in the U.S. while arguing WikiLeaks does not engage in journalism.

Republican Senator Ben Sasse asked Comey why Assange has not been charged with a crime. Comey did not want to confirm whether there were charges pending but came pretty close by saying Assange “hasn’t been apprehended because he’s inside the Ecuadorean embassy in London.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

What Wikileaks has done is to both inform the American public about the actions of its government, and embarrassed various agencies for their agendas, and absolute lack of candor, with regard to what they are doing, and why they are doing it; and that is something which the US government, and its agencies, hates to see happen, and will not tolerate.

And Comey's prattling on about his and his crew's alleged respect for the First Amendment "because all of us care deeply about the First Amendment and the ability of a free press to get information about our work and publish it.", is complete, and utter codswallop.

We do not have a free press in this country, whatsoever, because if the conclusions of that press get in the way of the Deep American State agenda, it will be suppressed as much as the US government can, and Comey knows it.

What we have in this country is a fawning, compliant bunch of presstitutes, constantly regurgitating the US government agenda and keeping the American people from being told about what is going on in the world; this is why I encourage our readers and listeners to read the foreign press in English; that way, you will definitely get some little glimmers of what the US government is doing with your money, and in your name.

FOX REPORTS: Pentagon eyes Iran-North Korea military connection

When Iran attempted to launch a cruise missile from a “midget” submarine earlier this week, Pentagon officials saw more evidence of North Korean influence in the Islamic Republic – with intelligence reports saying the submarine was based on a Pyongyang design, the same type that sank a South Korean warship in 2010.

According to U.S. defense officials, Iran was attempting to launch a Jask-2 cruise missile underwater for the first time>>>

BREAKING! The House Just Delivered A Devastating Blow To North Korea!

From The Hill: The House voted Thursday to impose new sanctions on North Korea amid heightened tensions.

Legislation approved handily on a 419-1 vote would target North Korea’s shipping industry and people who employ North Korean slave labor abroad.

It would also require the Trump administration to report to Congress within 90 days on whether North Korea should be reinstated onto the government’s state sponsors of terror list.

SAUDI POWER STRUGGLE COULD DESTABILIZE THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST

Political instability in Saudi Arabia is growing as King Salman bin Abdulaziz begins to overhaul the Saudi government, putting a long list of family members into positions of influence while increasing the power of his son, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. These actions have the potential to lead to a direct conflict with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef. The expected internal power collision, predicted by many analysts, finally seems to be heating up. The real surprise, however, is that it is taking place while King Salman is still alive rather than during the succession period. King Salman’s royal decrees, in which he has appointed two of his other sons, Prince Abdulaziz and Prince Khaled as Minister of State for Energy Affairs and Ambassador to the United States respectively, has opened up Pandora’s box.

WHO ARE THE BIGGEST LOSERS FROM THE PUERTO RICO BANKRUPTCY

Back in 2013, markets tumbled (if briefly) on the news that Detroit would file for bankruptcy, at the time the biggest municipal bankruptcy in US history with over $18 billion in liabilities. Yesterday, algos barely even bothered to look up when Puerto Rico's governor announced that the US Commonwealth would submit Title III (aka bankruptcy) protection, despite a debt load of more than $70 billion, or nearly four times greater than Detroit's.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Irresponsible bank executives and national leaders have created this disastrous situation for the Puerto Rican people, and I wish they had the horse-sense to "pull an Iceland"; declare the debt odious, and throw the bankers and politicians who did this in jail.

And BTW, are you aware that the Icelandic currency, the Krona, is now the strongest currencies in the world?!?

U.S. AND TURKEY ON COLLISION COURSE OVER KURDISH FORCES IN SYRIA

A top adviser for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ilnur Cevik, warned on May 3 that United States troops and equipment risk being destroyed due to their proximity to Kurdish forces in Northern Syria.

Turkey claims those fighters are aligned with the Kurdish militant group the Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK), which has been waging a guerrilla war in Turkey for years.

In a radio interview on Turkish media, Cevik was asked what would happen to U.S. forces that were working with Kurdish forces that Turkey wants to attack.

“It doesn’t matter whether they are patrolling there. If those PKK terrorists continue their activities within Turkey…you know they are infiltrating from Northern Syria (into Turkey.) That’s the region they infiltrate from,” Cevik replied.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder just how the US is planning to carve Syria up into little fiefdoms, one of which is engineered to exist as an independent Kurdistan.

Neither Erdogan nor Syria's Al Assad are going to be very happy about this, however. And Russian troops on the ground in Syria, appear to be expanding their mission to advise and assist, and we have reports of Russian troops on the ground in Northern Syria.

UK'S NEW 'DIGITAL ECONOMY' LAW SOMEHOW NOW GIVES POLICE THE POWER TO REMOTELY KILL PHONE SERVICE

The UK's long-gestating Digital Economy Act has finally gone into force. The law is mainly interested in porn and pirates -- two issues most of the UK public is far less interested in having subjected to intrusive regulation.

But just keeping an eye on who is or isn't availing themselves of porn/torrents isn't the only intrusive aspect of the Act. As Joseph Cox of Motherboard points out, an amendment to the law grants some pretty scary new powers to UK law enforcement, allowing them to kill citizens' means of communication.

[L]aw enforcement agencies can remotely disable or restrict a mobile phone if it is suspected of being used for drug dealing or related to it, and in some cases regardless of whether a crime has actually been committed, according to legal commentators.

Liberal Thought Police Keep Getting Scarier... (Video)

Despite the idea of free speech being one of the most sacred foundations of our nation and constitution, the liberal left is slowly waging a war against it, claiming that it is a threat to our democracy. Since outright censorship is not possible, they are going by the route of staging often violent demonstrations against organizations that would host speeches by those they find unacceptable. Case in point: Ann Coulter and the University of Berkeley.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at the sad state of affairs surrounding free speech in our country. The left’s rhetoric against free speech by claiming that the ‘inherent value’ of a speech needs to be weighed before it qualifies for free-speech protections are nothing short of absurd. Just like in the economic marketplace, the left cannot compete in the open marketplace; protectionism must be in play at all times.

Even MSNBC Mocks Maxine Waters Over Blatant Lie on Television (Video)

Despite they hypocrisy of the left, sometimes one of their own says or does something so egregious that there is no way that they can defend it without looking ridiculous themselves. Such is the case with California Representative Maxine Waters who after repeatedly saying that she was trying to get President Trump impeached, thought that she could backtrack on her comments.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at this amusing situation where after leading an anti-Trump crowd at a Tax Day march in a chant of “Impeach 45” and tweeting that “The President is a liar, his actions are contemptible, & I'm going to fight everyday until he's impeached.” she claimed to have never called for Trump’s impeachment. It’s so bad that even MSNBC hosts mocked her and Politifact gave her a ‘Pants on Fire’ rating. Truly hilarious.

Will the Second American Civil War Eventually Turn Violent? (Video)

The political divide in our nation has grown so large that it has become a chasm. And with a chasm of such magnitude, could we see another second ‘civil war’, this time between the left and the right? Violence has already entered the fray, only this time it’s only flowing one way: from the left to the right. And the authorities are doing absolutely nothing to stop it.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at the current state of affairs between the left and the right today. Out of fear of being shamed by left wing liberal media, authority figures are too afraid to do anything to clamp down on violent left wing mobs. Worse still, we see elected officials such as the mayor of Berkeley give direct support for such mob tactics. What will all these lead to?

The Ferguson Effect: Baltimore Millennials' Worst Nightmare

Last week, I wrote an article titled Baltimore Millennials’ “City Life” Narrative Starts To Crack. It appears the crack in the narrative is much larger than we thought. What’s developing in Baltimore is called the ‘Ferguson Effect’. This is a theory where the increased scrutiny of police post 2014 death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and Trayvon Martin in Florida will lead to higher crime rates. Baltimore is turning this theory into a reality, as the city descends into chaos before the summer start. The rapid deterioration of Baltimore in 2017 has caught the linear mindset of the millennials’ off guard, who thought gentrification was right around the corner.

Seeking El Chapo’s billions, US officials 'can’t find a single dollar'

Mexican authorities said they have only found minor assets of the notorious drug kingpin.

“His money hasn’t been found, because he didn’t use the financial system,” Cervantes added.

More Spying, More Lying — Judge Napolitano on the NSA octopus.

The genius of the Fourth Amendment is that it serves as a two-edged sword. By requiring probable cause before judges can issue warrants to agents for surveillance, the amendment both protects the privacy of those uninvolved in wrongdoing by leaving them alone and compels federal agents to focus their appetite for intelligence and their need for evidence on only those they legitimately feel may have done wrong. In the meantime, Trump knows that he has been the victim of overzealous and unlawful surveillance, and we can expect during the debate over renewal of Section 702 that he will have a more sober and constitutional view of all this than his predecessors have; and that may bring about more freedom and more safety.

Active TB Increases in Minnesota; 90 Percent Foreign-Born, 11 Refugees Diagnosed Overseas Before Arrival

The number of active tuberculosis (TB) cases diagnosed in Minnesota increased 12 percent in 2016 to 168, up from 150 one year earlier, according to the Minnesota Department of Health’s (MDH) Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Program’s Quarterly Surveillance Report, October 1, 2016 – December 31, 2016.
Ninety percent of these 168 cases (152 of 168) were foreign-born, significantly higher than the national 2016 average of 67.9 percent of active TB cases that were foreign-born.

Fourteen of these 168 cases, or 9 percent were diagnosed within the first year in the United States of the 2,635 refugees who were resettled in Minnesota in FY 2016. The majority of these refugees came from two high TB burden countries: 1,195 came from Somalia, and 653 came from Burma, according to the State Department’s interactive website.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That this scourge was allowed to be visited upon the people of Minnesota by a tone-deaf, and thoroughly immoral US government, is absoflippinglutely unbelievable.

Breaking. Russia Setting Up Military Installations in Northeastern Syria, in YPG-Held Area

A number of Russian troops and vehicles have entered the area of the Afrin Canton controlled by fighters of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), according to photos and videos appearing online.

Pro-Kurdish media activists speculate that the Russian military is going to set up a military base or even a “joint military base” in the YPG-held area near the border with Turkey.

According to more neutral sources, Russian military servicemen are setting up two posts near the border in order to monitor possible clashes between Kurdish militias and the Turkish military.

This comes amid increasing US military activity along the Syrian-Turkish border. According to Kurdish sources in northeastern Syria, US troops have been patrolling the Kurdish-held areas bordering Turkey. Thus, US troops are a buffer force that should prevent Ankara from combating Kurdish militias in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is only a matter of time before US and Russian ground troops start to confront each other in Syria; and then, what?!?!?

Israel’s Outrage Du Jour: Denying Palestinian Boy Terror Victim’s Rights After He Survived Incineration of His Family

Yesterday brought not one outrage du jour, but two from Israel. Defense minister Avigdor Lieberman denied 8 year-old Ahmed Dawabshe’s application for the official compensation offered all Israeli Jewish terror victims. The little boy’s father, mother and baby brother were all burned to death by Jewish settler terrorists. The attackers haven’t even been tried yet for their crimes though it is nearly two years since the crime.

Lieberman claimed Israel could not recognize Dawabsheh as a terror victim because he’s not an Israeli citizen. Note, that the Jewish settlers who incinerated both his parents and baby brother live right next door to him in the occupied West Bank and are Israeli citizens. Yet he is not and so is denied.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Genocide and assassinations have been "normalized" by Israeli settlers as their "rights" against those pesky Palestinians, whose only "crimes" are...that they are still breathing, as happened with this eight year old kid, whose family had done absolutely nothing to them.

America’s Endless Afghan War

News this week that 300 Marines have returned to Helmand Province in Afghanistan recalls the failed surge of 2009-10, when roughly 20,000 Marines beat back the Taliban in the region, only to see those “fragile” gains quickly turn to “reversible” ones (to cite the infamous terms of General David Petraeus, architect of that surge).

While fragility and reversibility characterize American progress, the Taliban continues to make real progress. According to today’s report at FP: Foreign Policy, “the Taliban controls or contests about 40 percent of the districts in the country, 16 years after the U.S. war there began.” Meanwhile, in January and February more than 800 Afghan troops were killed fighting the Taliban, notes Foreign Policy, citing a report by the Special Inspector General for Afghan Reconstruction. That’s a high figure given that fighting abates during the winter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF NATO High Command and the US government had two brain cells to rub together, (and the Afghani opium poppies weren't so damned profitable), the logical step here would be to leave Afghanistan as quickly as it was safe for US and NATO troops to do so, then negotiate with whatever government was left standing in Kabul for pipeline and mineral rights.

But, of course, THAT...would be logical; and there is no military metric whatsoever by which, 16 years on, either US nor NATO leadership can possibly "declare victory" in this insane war.

The Turds Who Voted to Sell Out Your Online Privacy Get Their Faces Plastered on Billboards

Last month, Congress voted to repeal FCC rules that would prevent internet service providers from selling your personal web browsing and app usage data. It was a decision that’s unpopular across the country, regardless of party affiliation. If the politicians that voted in favor of the reversal thought no one would notice, there are some big ass signs in their districts that say otherwise.

The internet activists at the non-profit Fight for the Future have crowdfunded four billboards, so far, that shame the members of congress that voted for the repeal. The lawmakers that have the honor of being called out will now have to see their face along the highway when they return home. Those lucky few are Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Dean Heller (R-NV), John Rutherford (R-FL) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ). These four lawmakers accepted a combined $196,905 in campaign contributions from the telecom industry in the last election cycle.

US Commander Asks for More Troops in Europe to ‘Counter Russia’

Speaking with the Senate Appropriations Committee, top US commander in Europe Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti pushed for more funding for “long-term investment” in US military facilities in Europe, able to support further escalations of US deployments of both ground troops and combat equipment onto the continent.

Gen. Scaparrotti played up the continued false narrative of “Russian aggression,” which has been securing the Pentagon so much extra funding in recent years, suggesting that the US needs more permanent deployments of combat troops around the Russian frontier to counter them.

Moqtada al-Sadr: In Iraq, a fiery cleric redefines himself as nationalist patriot

He is challenging Shiite political elites and, in fact, the entire Iraqi political system. He has reached beyond Sunni-Shiite divides, testing Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, a fellow Shiite, and threatening to boycott upcoming elections in the absence of reforms to Iraq’s electoral commission, which Sadr accuses of being under the sway of rival Shiite political parties he says are corrupt. On many Fridays he brings thousands into the streets in protest.

In the process, the still relatively young cleric, the son and the son-in-law of two Shiite clerics revered for their concern for the poor, has increasingly made an effort to portray himself as an Iraqi patriot. Now, he is poised to consolidate his position not only as an influential political kingmaker but as someone who can mobilize potentially millions of followers from Baghdad to the southern coastal city of Basra.

Palestinian Journalists Tear Gassed Demonstrating on World Press Freedom Day

During the Israeli state crackdown, journalists Ashraf al-Nibali and Amin Alariya were detained.

Marching on World Press Freedom day, Palestinian journalists were dispersed with tear gas, while two journalists were detained during the march.

Organized outside the Ofer prison in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah Wednesday, the strike was also held in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners hunger-striking in Israeli cells, as they enter their 17th day of the historic struggle.

During the Israeli state crackdown, journalists Ashraf al-Nibali and Amin Alariya were detained by police.

Last month, Reporters Without Borders condemned Israeli forces for violating the rights of Palestinian journalists, particularly those that cover demonstrations against the apartheid regime, in the 2017 World Press Freedom Index compiled by the organization.

President Obama's team sought NSA intel on thousands of Americans during the 2016 election

The Obama administration distributed thousands of intelligence reports with the unredacted names of U.S. residents during the 2016 election.

During his final year in office, President Obama's team significantly expanded efforts to search National Security Agency intercepts for information about Americans, distributing thousands of intelligence reports across government with the unredacted names of U.S. residents during the midst of a divisive 2016 presidential election.

The data, made available this week by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, provides the clearest evidence to date of how information accidentally collected by the NSA overseas about Americans was subsequently searched and disseminated after President Obama loosened privacy protections to make such sharing easier in 2011 in the name of national security. A court affirmed his order.

HOW ANAND GOPAL DIRECTED PEOPLE TO JOIN ISIS - SHILLS FOR "REGIME CHANGE" IN SYRIA

Anand Gopal built his career as a writer with on the ground reporting from Afghanistan where he embedded with the Taliban. He gave some insight into their motivations.

Anand Gopal is now a shill for the U.S. "regime change" crimes in Syria. He is also attempting to justify the existence and crimes of ISIS by attributing those to a "legit" motivation. That is a convenient excuse for those who join ISIS.

People joined ISIS because of the "sheer brutality of the Assad regime" Gopal asserts. They joined ISIS in Iraq, in Libya, in Mali and Afghanistan for the "sheer brutality of the Assad regime"? UK PRIME MINISTER THERESA MAY SAYS EU OFFICIALS ARE MEDDLING IN UK ELECTIONS

Speaking outside Downing Street on Wednesday, after notifying the Queen of the dissolution of Parliament, Theresa May took a tough stance towards EU Oligarchs, saying Brussels eurocrats do not want the Brexit talks to succeed and for Britain to “prosper” after Brexit.

Prime Minister Theresa May accused European officials of trying to influence the result of Britain’s general election with threats of harsh Brexit terms.

The UK PM suggested that Britain’s negotiating position has been misrepresented in the European press.

“In the past few days we have seen just how tough these talks are likely to be. Britain’s negotiating position in Europe has been misrepresented in the continental press.

“The European commission’s negotiating stance has hardened. Threats against Britain have been issued by European politicians and officials. All of these acts have been deliberately timed to affect the result of the general election that will take place on June 8.”

This kind of historical injustice must be corrected. It cannot continue," Wang said.

Israeli president Rivlin denounces Marine Le Pen in speech on Yom HaShoah

Israeli President Rivlin has denounced French extreme-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen's recent comments denying France's responsibility in the deportation of Jewish citizens to the Nazi death camp as "uniquely disturbing." Speaking at a ceremony marking the end of Holocaust Remembrance Day at Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta'ot in the north of Israel ... He added: "We must wage a war against the current and dangerous wave of Holocaust denial. We must resist the renunciation of national responsibility in the name of alleged victimhood."
Note: Ah the holocau$t again. If the truth be know there was not a deliberate attempt to exterminate the Jews that is why the legend must be kept alive and protected by law.

An Accelerating Palestine Rights Movement Faces Uncertain Direction

US-instigated and propelled wars have continued to rage for 15 years in fulfillment of influential neoconservative ideologue Michael Ledeen's envisioned "creative destruction" through "total war." General Wesley Clark related the Bush administration's intention, reported by a Pentagon friend, to "take out" seven countries: Iran plus six Middle Eastern and North African Arab countries - all of which happened to be unfriendly to Israel. Egypt and Jordan, which had peace treaties with Israel, were not on the list. Nor was oil a common denominator ... This agenda fits Israel's long-term strategic game plan recounted in 1982 by Israeli Foreign Service senior official and Jerusalem Post journalist Oded Yinon to control the Arab world by shattering its countries into sectarian political shards emasculated as nations

Moral Failure at the UN

On 15 March 2017 the United Nations' Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) published a report on Israeli practices and policies toward the Palestinians. Using international law as its comparative criterion, the report came to a "definitive conclusion" that "Israel is guilty of Apartheid practices." ... The moral failure at the U.N., represented by the withdrawal of the ESCWA report, is the result of Secretary General Guterres's decision to acquiesce in a denial of reality - the reality of Israel's practice of Apartheid ... This is, of course, a form of blackmail. Significantly, U.S. use of its financial clout at the U.N. mimics the same practice by the Zionist lobby in the halls of Congress.
Note: Actually it is not apartheid it is genocide!

Israel is to hold lavish celebrations over the coming weeks to mark the 50th anniversary of what it calls the “liberation of Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights” – or what the rest of us describe as the birth of the occupation.
Note: the United States congress should also celebrate 50 years financial and moral support to Israel's illegal, immoral, corrupt, murderous occupation.
