Finger in Every Pie: How CIA Produces Our ‘News’ and Entertainment

Previously, we showed how the Hollywood hit ZeroDarkThirty was a completely fabricated piece of fiction which was passed on to the public as a “true story”. Also, the popular TV series, Homeland, is one of the most obvious propaganda productions in recent years, designed to reinforce many flawed assumptions and false believes about the world outside of the United States.

Did you know that the CIA has actually produced a number of high-profile ‘history’ TV programs that appear on US and world media channels?

Yes, it’s true…

ECB Scrambles To Calm A Furious Germany: "Helicopter Money Was The Straw That Broke The Camel's Back"

Over the weekend we reported that in a scathing Spiegel article the German financial media outlet let loose at the ECB with a report according to which Germany is now "taking aim" at the ECB as a result of the imminent launch of Helicopter Money by the Frankfurt-based central bank.

Spiegel even suggested that the German finance ministry would go so far as to sue the ECB to prevent this final monetary paradrop in a desperate attempt to stimulate (hyper)inflation:

Just Flasking Ridiculous!

By Jack Perry
April 12, 2016
Hey, did you know in Texas, it’s illegal to possess an Erlenmeyer flask without a permit from the government? What’s an Erlenmeyer flask? It’s that glass conical-bottom, narrow-necked flask you see in all the science labs. Remember high school science class? So why is a piece of science lab equipment illegal without das paperwerken from das government? Because it’s allegedly used to manufacture illegal drugs. Well, gosh, so are a lot of things! But this is a thing I have mentioned before here and now would like to expand on: Local government is often the most tyrannical because they can pass laws faster than the federal government can spend a billion dollars.
Webmaster addition: I use an Erlenmeyer flask to make nano-silver!

Recently filed campaign finance reports may shed light on how Hillary Clinton is using some of the money she collected from her hefty speechmaking fees from Wall Street banks and other special-interest groups: She is plowing an increasingly large amount of her funds, $560,983 as of last month, back into her presidential campaign.

Hillary Clinton’s Backers Want Obama to Grant a Preemptive Pardon—To Prevent Her From Facing “A Martha Stewart Problem”

With FBI Director James Comey’s statement this week that the massive investigation of possible criminality by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could linger into the fall, some of her political advisers have become convinced that the best option for her would be to shut it down now, which could be accomplished ifPresident Obama would grant a preemptive pardon for any crimes she may have committed.

“It would be a humbling experience for Mrs. Clinton to accept a pardon, but she and husband Bill have ridden out terrible scandals in the past without losing their bedrock constituencies,” an official close to the campaign told Orbmagazine. “And without a pardon, the possible scenarios she is facing are fraught with danger.”

WELLS FARGO ADMITS DECEPTION IN $1.2 BILLION U.S. MORTGAGE ACCORD

Wells Fargo & Co (WFC.N) admitted to deceiving the U.S. government into insuring thousands of risky mortgages, as it formally reached a record $1.2 billion settlement of a U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit. The settlement with Wells Fargo, the largest U.S. mortgage lender and third-largest U.S. bank by assets, was filed on Friday in Manhattan federal court. It also resolves claims against Kurt Lofrano, a former Wells Fargo vice president.

CAUGHT ON TAPE: U.S. PLANE ALLEGEDLY DROPS WEAPONS FOR ISIS MILITANTS IN IRAQ

One day after reporting that British military information services Janes, had found confirmation of several shipments amounting to 3,000 tons of weapons and ammo to Al-Qaeda linked Syrian rebels in a transport solicitation on the U.S. government website FedBizOps.gov, today Veterans Today goes deeper into the rabbit hole and reports that several Iraqi policemen claim to have seen US aircraft dropping weapons and munitions for ISIS terrorists in a region west of the Anbar province on Friday.

According to VT, in a video posted on Iraq’s al-Maaloomah news website on Sunday, the policemen are purportedly heard saying that the American plane had also jammed their communication devices in the Hadisah Island district.

"There is an American aircraft seen at four o’clock in the morning on Friday over the Hadisah Island district of the Anbar province, delivering weapons and munitions to ISIS criminals," one of the policemen says.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting woman, I would probably be asking the bookies in Vegas

1. What the odds were of a US military decap strike against Syria's Al-Assad, or

2. Further destabilization of Iraq to the point where Iraq's President al-Abadi would be begging for an unlimited number of US troops on the ground in Iraq to fend off ISIS, which of course, the US is continuing to fund, supply, and train.

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against either, or both, scenarios.

However, if my hunch about Iraq is correct, I have to wonder; just how long will the Shiite cleric, Muqtada Al-Sadr allow this to continue before "bringing the band back together", i.e., reuniting the Mahdi Army against American military assets to drive the US government out of Iraq?!?

Secondly, if the US is planning a decap strike on Damascus, how long will it take Moscow to respond?!? And what will they be willing to do to protect Al-Assad?!?

IF these questions occur to me, as an average American citizen, I am absolutely gobsmacked that those making these kinds of bone-headed decisions in the White House, Pentagon, State Department, and Congress appear to be pathologically incapable of thinking these scenarios through to their logical conclusions.

COMMON CORE, K-12 SCHOOLING, & HOW TO TURN CHILDREN INTO REAL ESTATE

I recently spoke with Robin S. Eubanks, whose blog Invisible Serfs Collar is a massive data dump exploring the long-term social engineering goals behind the Common Core State Standards Initiative currently pushing K-12 schooling in the US. Eubanks links Common Core to the National Science Foundation and to behavioral sciences & social psychology research that goes back at least to the 1930s and the Fabian Society, the Ford Foundation, the London School of Economics, the Tavistock Institute, and the Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Science. According to Eubanks, the education/indoctrination plan she is mapping has to do with removing “the transmission of knowledge” from the education process entirely & instead “incepting” emotional imagery into the unconscious.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Common Core is an absolute disaster, because critical thinking is denied, and logic, and intelligent questioning, is suppressed.

If Mike and I had children, I would make sure that we lived in a state where home schooling was allowed, because I completely doubt the ability of public schools to turn kids into anything else but sniveling, compliant drones, just educated enough for whatever jobs were left in this country, and never questioning public policy in any depth.

'I was struck with multiple blows': inside the secret violence of Homan Square

Internal documents from the Chicago police department show that officers used physical force on at least 14 men already in custody at the warehouse known as Homan Square.

Police used punches, knee strikes, elbow strikes, slaps, wrist twists, baton blows and Tasers at Homan Square, according to documents released to the Guardian in the course of its transparency lawsuit about the warehouse. The new information contradicts an official denial about treatment of prisoners at the facility.

The injured men are among at least 7,351 people – more than 6,000 of them black – who, police documents show, have been detained and interrogated at Homan Square without a public notice of their whereabouts or access to an attorney.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a police culture in this country of using torture as a standard method of operation, then lying about it with absolute impunity.

Torture is a war crime, and should be treated as such; the lying about torture should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

This cannot be allowed to continue, without the nature of the American dream being turned into a permanent American nightmare.

WELLS FARGO JUST ADMITTED TO ROBBING US CITIZENS BY DECEIVING THE GOVT AND NO ONE WAS CHARGED

Top megabank, Wells Fargo & Co just admitted to defrauding the United States government for nearly an entire decade, which subsequently led to the housing market collapse, and no one is going to be punished.

On Friday, the largest US mortgage lender and third-largest US bank admitted to deceiving the U.S. government into insuring thousands of risky mortgages.

According to the settlement, Wells Fargo “admits, acknowledges, and accepts responsibility” for having from 2001 to 2008 falsely certified that many of its home loans qualified for Federal Housing Administration insurance, reports Reuters.

Wells Fargo also admitted to having from 2002 to 2010 failed to file timely reports on several thousand loans that had material defects or were badly underwritten, a process that Kurt Lofrano, a former Wells Fargo vice president, was responsible for supervising.

Obama Defends Hillary In Email Scandal: "There's Classified And There's Classified"

So there we have it. As far as national security concerns around Hillary's unsecured communications, don't be alarmed because there's classified, and then there's classified. As far as whether or not justice will be served if it is determined that Hillary broke the law, everyone can also rest assured that the outcome of the FBI’s investigation will be solely based on evidence, and nothing more – just as the process is supposed to work.

The man in charge of probing the Panama tax dodging scandal was a partner at the law firm that acted for offshore firms... including the one set up by David Cameron's father

The man in charge of overseeing the UK Government's inquiry into the Panama Papers was a partner at a law firm that acted for the offshore fund set up by David Cameron's stockbroker father, it emerged this morning.

Edward Troup, executive chairman of HMRC, was a partner at Simmons & Simmons, which represented Ian Cameron's Blairmore Holdings and other offshore firms named in the leak.

Indiana State Trooper Is Fired for Proselytizing During Traffic Stops

An Indiana state trooper has been fired after drivers complained that he gave them more than tickets and a lecture about road rules after pulling them over — he also shared a little religion on the roadside, in one case asking a woman if she had “accepted Jesus Christ as her savior.”
The State Police said on Friday that the trooper, Brian L. Hamilton, a 14-year veteran, was let go on Thursday for repeatedly proselytizing and for handing out a religious pamphlet during traffic stops.

The State Police superintendent, Douglas G. PART 4.3 – 4.4: AMERICAN PROGRESSIVE TRADITION: IDEAS, POLICIES, METHODS, PROGRAMS (this article)

Methods [4.3]

From the outset the populists, and the progressives after them, already “alert” (as Eisenhower puts it) from the early 1870s due to the increasingly dire economic consequences for most Americans of the concentration and extension of oligarchic power, realized that in order to become “knowledgeable” and to awaken the “citizenry” at large for common action in support of effective legislative remedies, they would need to inform and educate themselves. The manipulation of the newspapers and other organs of “public” discussion by vested interests made this obvious from the start, partly because until the 1890s there was still a flourishing regional and small town journalism voicing a wide variety of local views and ready to expose salient facts concealed or distorted in the “kept press.”

False flag nuclear attack on Chicago? Predictive programming and 3,000 millionaires fleeing demand attention; .01% crimes in war and money demand arrests BEFORE more false flags

Article documenting an April 6, 2016 Chicago Tribune report of 3,000 millionaires leaving Chicago in the last year.
Article documenting predictive programming of a nuclear attack on Chicago.
Multiple articles documenting usual use of government false flag attacks to herd their populations into compliance.

Crimes Against Humanity for ongoing policy of poverty that’s killed over 400 million human beings just since 1995 (~75% children; more deaths than from all wars in Earth’s recorded history).
So-called “money” that is actually debt that creates accelerating and unpayable total debt.

US-NATO Plans for a New War in Libya

Five years after NATO’s Libya war, Italy, the EU and the US are in the advanced stages of preparations for the next military intervention. The Western imperialist powers want to establish their own military bases in Libya in order to control the country’s massive sources of oil and natural gas, and secure an important gateway to Africa.

For months, the North African country has seen a secret build-up of American, British, French and Italian agents and officers, while reconnaissance and armed drones controlled from Sigonella in Sicily have conducted surveillance missions and air strikes in Libya.

US Largest Maritime Exercise in Middle East, Mobilizing 5th Fleet against “Al Qaeda and Daesh”

The United States Navy is leading the largest maritime exercise in the Middle East with 30 countries participating in the event.
The International Mine Countermeasures Exercise (IMCMEX) aims to protect international trade routes against possible threats posed by terrorist groups like Daesh and al-Qaeda, according to US officials.

According to Press TV, the exercise was organized by US Naval Forces Central Command and began Monday in Bahrain, home to the US 5th Fleet.

On Saturday, commander of US Naval Forces Central Command Vice Adm. Kevin Donegan highlighted the importance of the exercise in protecting shipping routes, saying, “We know that they want to disturb trade lines”.

“This region provides a strong training opportunity for nations worldwide as three of the six major maritime chokepoints in the world are here: the Suez Canal, the Strait of Bab Al Mandeb and the Strait of Hormuz,” Donegan said.

Exclusive: Blocking Trump could hurt Republicans in election - Reuters/Ipsos poll

Without Trump at the head of the ticket the Repubs will go the way of the Whig Party. BYE!BYE! Repubs! Don't let the door hit you in the ass when you leave America!

A third of Republican voters who support Donald Trump could turn their backs on their party in November's presidential election if he is denied the nomination in a contested convention, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The results are bad news for Trump's rivals as well as party elites opposed to the real estate billionaire, suggesting that an alternative Republican nominee for the Nov. 8 presidential race would have a tougher road against the Democrats.

"If it’s a close election, this is devastating news" for the Republicans, said Donald Green, an expert on election turnout at Columbia University.

The Beginning Of The End For Obamacare: Largest US Health Insurer Exits Georgia, Arkanasas

In a statement, UnitedHealth said that "the company is evaluating the viability of the insurance exchange product segment and will determine during the first half of 2016 to what extent it can continue to serve the public exchange markets in 2017."

Needless to say, the implications for Obamacare - which had seen a surge in problems over the past year - were dire: As Bloomberg reported at the time, "a pull-back would deal a significant blow to President Barack Obama’s signature domestic policy achievement. While UnitedHealth has been slower than some of its rivals to sell Obamacare policies since new government-run marketplaces for the plans opened in late 2013, the announcement may indicate that other insurers are struggling."

60 MINUTES TO REPORT ON 28 PAGES SAID TO LINK 9/11, SAUDI ARABIA

The drive to declassify 28 pages from a congressional intelligence inquiry that detail specific indications of foreign government support of the 9/11 hijackers is about to be put under a powerful spotlight, as 60 Minutes will air a segment on the topic this Sunday, April 10 at 7 pm ET/PT.

According to the CBS News preview of the story, Steve Kroft interviewed former senator Bob Graham, former congressman and CIA director Porter Goss, former 9/11 Commission members Bob Kerrey and John Lehman, lawyers representing 9/11 family members suing Saudi Arabia and former congressman Tim Roemer, who served on both the inquiry that produced the 28 pages and the 9/11 Commission that followed that inquiry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ah yes, that "historical revisionist TV show" 60 minutes!!

The same show that allowed Bill and Hillary Clinton make a "non denial-denial" about Bill's having had an affair with Gennifer Flowers!!

"60 Minutes", as a concept, is rarely ever about telling the American people the truth; it is about spinning a narrative comfortable to the elites, and this coming show on alleged Saudi financing of 9/11 is absolutely no different.

The "agenda" here is to blame the Saudi government for the rise of ISIS and Al-Qaeda, rather than looking at the cold, hard, and highly uncomfortable facts behind their growth.

Did the Saudis perhaps do some funding of Jihadists?!?

Perhaps.

But this is not the main reason why these groups exist today; they exist because it is the US government trained these people.

As reported by the blog globalresearch.ca, on 19 September, 2014:

Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region. The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history. The CIA first aligned itself with extremist Islam during the Cold War era. Back then, America saw the world in rather simple terms: on one side, the Soviet Union and Third World nationalism, which America regarded as a Soviet tool; on the other side, Western nations and militant political Islam, which America considered an ally in the struggle against the Soviet Union. The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom recently remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in violation.” During the 1970′s the CIA used the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a barrier, both to thwart Soviet expansion and prevent the spread of Marxist ideology among the Arab masses. The United States also openly supported Sarekat Islam against Sukarno in Indonesia, and supported the Jamaat-e-Islami terror group against Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Pakistan. Last but certainly not least, there is Al Qaeda. Lest we forget, the CIA gave birth to Osama Bin Laden and breastfed his organization during the 1980′s. Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that Al Qaeda was unquestionably a product of Western intelligence agencies. Mr. Cook explained that Al Qaeda, which literally means an abbreviation of “the database” in Arabic, was originally the computer database of the thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan. America’s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a love-hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy. The Islamic State is its latest weapon that, much like Al Qaeda, is certainly backfiring. ISIS recently rose to international prominence after its thugs began beheading American journalists. Now the terrorist group controls an area the size of the United Kingdom. In order to understand why the Islamic State has grown and flourished so quickly, one has to take a look at the organization’s American-backed roots. The 2003 American invasion and occupation of Iraq created the pre-conditions for radical Sunni groups, like ISIS, to take root. America, rather unwisely, destroyed Saddam Hussein’s secular state machinery and replaced it with a predominantly Shiite administration. The U.S. occupation caused vast unemployment in Sunni areas, by rejecting socialism and closing down factories in the naive hope that the magical hand of the free market would create jobs. Under the new U.S.-backed Shiite regime, working class Sunni’s lost hundreds of thousands of jobs. Unlike the white Afrikaners in South Africa, who were allowed to keep their wealth after regime change, upper class Sunni’s were systematically dispossessed of their assets and lost their political influence. Rather than promoting religious integration and unity, American policy in Iraq exacerbated sectarian divisions and created a fertile breading ground for Sunni discontent, from which Al Qaeda in Iraq took root.

So folks, there you have it; on the eve of President Obama's trip to Saudi Arabia, this show will attempt to pawn off all responsibility for the rise of Al Qaeda and ISIS on the shoulders of the Saudi government, rather than tell the truth about the US's involvement in the creation of violent jihadist groups, to be used to further the US government's geopolitical agenda.

Dutch Referendum May Have Unleashed European "Continental Crisis"

The reason why Jean-Claude "when it gets serious, you have to lie" Juncker was so nervous, is that the vote, launched by anti-EU forces, is seen as test of the strength of Eurosceptics on the continent just three months before Britain votes on whether to stay in the European Union.

Fast forward to today when the vote just took place, and based on initial exit polls, Juncker was dead wrong. According to Reuters, in a rebuke for the government, which campaigned in favor of the EU-Ukraine association agreement, roughly 64 percent voted "No" and 36 percent said "Yes".

BBC Bias, Brexit, the EU, Bilderberg and Global Government

One of the BBC’s flagship news programmes has shown a “strong” bias towards Britain staying in the European Union (EU), a media monitoring group claimed last week. From the 13th of January to the 11th of March 2016, News-watch analysed 40 editions of the popular current affairs programme Newsnight. News-watch noted that 25 of the guests who appeared on the programme were in favour of Britain staying in the EU, compared to only 14 who advocated the UK leaving the union. The monitoring group noted that: “The former President of the EU Commission, José Manuel Barroso, and the former Swedish Prime Minister, Carl Bildt, have had the clear opportunity in main interviews to explain why leaving the EU would not be in the UK’s interest. There has been no balancing opinion from similarly weighty figures” who support Britain leaving the EU.

Indiana state trooper fired after asking about religion during traffic stop

INDIANAPOLIS — A 14-year-veteran of the Indiana State Police was fired Thursday for allegedly proselytizing to people he stopped for traffic violations.

The ACLU of Indiana filed a lawsuit this week against ISP Trooper Brian Hamilton on behalf of Wendy Pyle. The lawsuit claims Hamilton gave Pyle a warning ticket for speeding, then asked her what church she attended and whether she was saved.

She says she did not feel free to leave while the questions were being asked. She filed a formal complaint about the stop. Hamilton has been sued for similar claims before. In Oct. 2014, he was accused of prolonging a traffic stop by asking a woman about her faith, then handing her a pamphlet about how to become a Christian. The civil case was closed in April 2015.

The Panama Papers Could Really End Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

The Sanders campaign has been run on the premise that Clinton is inextricably linked to political corruption, disastrous military interventions, and collusion with Wall Street. If it can be shown that Clinton was involved in criminal improprieties exposed by the Panama Papers, this will constitute yet another major line of attack for Sanders headed into the April 14th debate in New York. If Sanders wins the New York primary a few days later and scoops up a proportion of its 247 delegates, the narrative of the election will dramatically shift.

China Censors the Panama Papers

The foolish man buried his treasure and then posted a sign, “This ground does not contain 300 taels of silver.” This Chinese proverb has become a shorthand for the way the guilty give themselves away, and it’s aptly illustrated by the Communist Party’s hasty efforts to censor news of the Panama Papers.

The cache of documents stolen from the Mossack Fonseca law firm in Panama City doesn’t show (at least so far) that Chinese leaders or their relatives embezzled money or avoided tax. The authorities nonetheless issued instructions Monday to the official state media, social-media sites and search engines to remove the story.

In short: while Obama is complaining about corporate tax avoidance and slamming Panama, he is encouraging it in the U.S.

The most prominent is the U.S. The other one is, of course, Panama, and we just saw what happened there.

The latest reporting "underscores the secrecy in Panama," said Stefanie Ostfeld, the acting head of the U.S. office of the anti-corruption group Global Witness. The Court of Appeal wrote that police cannot arrest a group of civilians "as a way of 'fishing' for particular individuals."

The transfer of power meant that all civilian courts would be closed, and all government functions — federal, territorial, and municipal — would be placed under military control. The U.S. Constitution was suspended and civilians no longer guaranteed any individual rights or protections from the government. Civilians had no freedom of speech, self-defense, assembly, or protections from from unreasonable search and seizures, inter alia.

Breaking: Trump supporters in Wisconsin report seeing votes being changed to Cruz

The reports are coming in from Wisconsin; Trump supporters are seeing their votes being switched to Cruz.

unitedmediapublishing.com reports: People voting for Donald Trump in today’s Wisconsin primary are seeing their ballots changed to show a vote for Ted Cruz.

Calls began flooding in early this morning to Madison-based ABC affiliate WKOW with reports of voting machines across the state switching votes entered for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump to his establishment counterpart Ted Cruz. The station has spoken with multiple witnesses and is in the process of verifying statements from Burnett, Clark, Dane, Polk and Portage counties.

According to one witness identified as Jeremy Rogers from Burnett county, “It was the strangest thing. The machine literally would not allow me to vote Trump.>>>

The Anatomy of a Trump Defeat

Last Friday, four days before Wisconsinites would cast their ballots, Ted Cruz, John Kasich, and Sarah Palin headlined an event for the Milwaukee County Republican party. Donald Trump, whose unconventional campaign rests almost entirely on his public appearances, had left it to Palin to carry the banner for him while he jetted off to Washington, D.C. There, he would cap a dismal week by sitting down with Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus for a remedial lesson in delegate allocation. It’s looking as if he will need it. Cruz trounced him in Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary, 50 to 33 percent, with 73 percent reporting, making a contested convention more likely in July.

(*It's all over but the cry from the voters from Wisconsin that their election was stolen . Seeing as this article comes from The NATIONAL Fricking REVIEW , there is , naturally , no mention of vote fraud in their Anatomy . I'm betting against them ever having the 'chutzpah' to publish their bottom line price for going against the people's choice , because they're just as spineless as their alleged candidate , Ted 'The Snot' Cruz

How Obamacare Just Made Filing Your Taxes Worse

That is money many families just don’t have. According to December 2015 estimates from the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average household without compliant coverage faces $661 in tax penalties for 2015, rising to $969 for 2016. The penalties are even higher for those not eligible to receive premium subsidies under the law: $1,177 for 2015, rising to $1,450 this year. While some will be exempt, millions of families and individuals will be penalized for not purchasing health insurance they cannot afford.

Sadly, unlike after the Vietnam fiasco there has been almost no backlash against the U.S. empire. On the very anniversary of that disastrous 2003 invasion, President Obama announced that he was sending U.S. Marines back into Iraq! And not a word from Congress. We’ve seemingly learned nothing. There have been too many war anniversaries! We want an end to all these pointless wars. It’s time we learn from these horrible mistakes.

If Gun Control is Revolting – Why Aren’t You?

There are more than 70,000,000 firearms owners in the United States. We comprise the largest militia (U.S. Supreme Court Justice William B. Woods, 1886) force the world has ever seen. US Air Force Deploys F-15 Jets to Iceland, Netherlands - Reports

A dozen F-15 fighters and some 350 air force personnel were sent to the region on Friday, set to support NATO surveillance missions and conduct training, the CNN reported.
Air force units from the Massachusetts' 131st Fighter Squadron and California's 194th Fighter Squadron have been stationed at an Iceland Cold War-era airbase that had been defunct since 2006, according to the broadcaster.
The move follows the February US Air Force announcement of plans to deploy six F-15 fighters to Finland in spring. The jets, which are reportedly to be stationed some 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Russian border, have been deployed as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve in response to alleged Russian interference in the Ukrainian conflict.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WHAT "...alleged Russian interference in the Ukrainian conflict."?!?!?

Where is the proof?!?

And the short answer here is, there is no proof of these allegations; otherwise, the US government would be shouting from the rooftops with (non-photoshopped) pictures of this alleged behaviour.

These allegations have nothing to do with Russia, and everything to do with justifying pre-positioning more US military hardware in and around Europe for a coming war against Russia.

Poroshenko: US has reiterated commitment to extend $335mln to enhance Ukraine’s security

The United States has reiterated its commitment to extend a sum of 335 million U.S. dollars to Ukraine to enhance its defense and security system, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Sunday.
"The sum of 335 million U.S. dollars will go to finance the defense and security sector, to purchase new equipment and weapons, to train personnel," he told Ukrainian journalists after his visit to Washington.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get this straight; at a point in time when the US government is drowning in debt (19 trillion dollars that we know of); when homeless Vets are sleeping in our streets, and the American infrastructure is crumbling, the US government is ready to shell out three hundred thirty five million dollars to this tin pot dictator, which will most assuredly line his, or his cronies' pockets, and not see one piece of good happen for the Ukrainian people?!?

IF in fact what Poroshenko is saying is true, it is yet one more assault on We the People by a US government gone collectively barking mad.

“How will you pay that?” I ask when I catch up with him.

“Working Monday through Friday — and maybe overtime,” he answers.

Explaining his rush, he says, “I gotta pay $400 by the end of the month. I was under the impression that if I don’t pay, if you miss a payment, they can send you to jail for it.”

They’re not supposed to. That’s why I’m in Bell County, near the center of Texas.

MOM CALLS 911 TO REPORT MISSING 12-YO SON – COPS SHOW UP SMASH HIS FACE IN, BREAK HIS TEETH

On March 13, after not being able to find her 12-year-old son for an extended period, Amy Olzak called the Idaho Falls Police Department to report him missing. Instead of helping her son, however, according to Olzak and multiple witnesses, the officer who responded brutally attacked this young boy.
“I just wanted them to help me find where he was,” said Olzak. Ironically, this would never happen.

After spending all day looking for him with friends, Olzak finally located her son. Olzak then called the police to inform them that she no longer needed their services. However, police were not done yet.

“I just wanted them to be aware. They came over. I talked to an officer for a minute, and he walked over to my son. Then he put my son’s hand behind his back and like lifted him up in the air and slammed his face into the trunk of a car,” said Olzak.

The car belongs to Olzak’s friend, Courtney Beck, who also witnessed the officer attack this child.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IMF Tries To Put Out Fire From Bombshell Greece Leak, But Doesn’t Apologize

The International Monetary Fund’s managing director told Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras on Sunday that the IMF remains committed to good faith negotiations, trying to assuage concerns raised by a Saturday leak.

Christine Lagarde dismissed the possibility the IMF would use underhanded tactics to pressure Greece in the letter, which was also posted on the IMF’s website.

The Huffington Post first reported on Saturday that Tsipras had asked Lagarde whether Greece could “trust” the IMF in light of leaked remarks by IMF officials suggesting that a crisis-inducing “event” was necessary to get Greece to comply with IMF austerity requests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"When the world around the IMF goes downhill, we thrive. We become extremely active because we lend money, we earn interest and charges and all the rest of it, and the institution does well. When the world goes well and we’ve had years of growth, as was the case back in 2006 and 2007, the IMF doesn’t do so well both financially and otherwise." -- Chrstine Lagarde

The Day Free Speech Died at Harvard Law School

There is a perception that being liberal is synonymous with tolerance. As youth tends to spawn idealism, it would follow that the most liberal campuses are home to the most tolerant student body.

However, after nearly three years of study at Harvard Law School, I have found that a significant number of the most liberal students tend to be the least tolerant of opposing viewpoints.

In late 2014, during my second year at Harvard Law School, a student group called Students For Inclusion created a blog entitled Socratic Shortcomings. Its commitment, we are told, is to “[foster] productive and contextualized conversations on matters related to race, gender and class.” The site allows students—and anyone really—to post anonymously about events at Harvard Law School.

Netanyahu to Kerry: Declare Israel doesn’t commit extrajudicial killings

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly asked John Kerry to publicly state that Israel does not carry out extrajudicial killings, after a group of U.S. lawmakers asked the secretary of state to investigate such claims.

Meanwhile, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., the lead lawmaker making the request, rebuked Netanyahu for his initial response to the revelation of the letter, saying the Israeli leader misunderstood the relevant law, which requires defunding military units underwritten by U.S. government funds should they be found in violation of U.S. human rights norms.

The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu made the call to Kerry Friday.

The police could be controlling your self-driving car

One of the biggest issues will be the rules under which public infrastructures and public safety officers may be empowered to override how autonomous vehicles are controlled. It is not hard to imagine why they might want such override power. One is for traffic control. As AVs proliferate there are many advantages to having them talk with intelligent roadways, the better to use scarce freeway space. Controls may also be imposed to leave lanes clear for emergency vehicles or crowded busses. Road conditions that are hard to detect by AV sensors, like weather-related lane closures, may also be more efficiently and fairly handled by having roadways or emergency crews redirect AVs away from problematic lanes, as well as around police, fire, and EMS activity. Overrides could be used to restrict certain vehicles from sensitive locations, like military sites.

America's teachers are being trained in a harsh interrogation technique that produces false confessions

The Reid Technique is the go-to method for coercing false confessions in America's police interrogation rooms, and now it's being taught to America's schoolteachers, just as schools are using "zero-tolerance" policies and on-site cops to re-characterize school discipline problems as criminal matters, creating a school-to-prison pipeline. John E. Reid and Associates originated the technique, which involves "minimization" (the interrogator downplays the seriousness of the offense) and "maximization" (the interrogator threatens the accused with terrible, lasting punishment for failing to confess).

Here's How We Can Break Up the Banks and Avoid Another Economic Disaster

We need a new model of banking (and to an extent a reworking of the entire financial system), so that it is less likely to need rescue by the taxpayer and is more likely to serve the real economy, not a narrow interest group.
