FDA Approves New Digital Sensor To Ensure "Patients With Mental Health Issues" Take Their Meds

It will “ensure” that patients who suffer from mental health issues take their medicine when they are told. But privacy concerns have not gone unnoticed.

Regulators in the United States have approved the first pill that can be digitally tracked as it makes its way through the human body. The Abilify MyCite aripiprazole tablets used for treating schizophrenia and manic episodes have an ingestible sensor embedded inside them that records that the medication has been taken. A patch worn by the patient transmits this information to their smartphone.

But many are raising the red flag that this could simply be another form of medical “big brother.” You may no longer have the right to refuse medications in the very near future.

The Abilify MyCite features a sensor the size of a grain of sand made of silicon, copper, and magnesium. An electrical signal is activated when the sensor comes into contact with stomach acid - the sensor then passes through the body naturally.

Libya's Slave Auctions And African Genocide: What Hillary Knew

A new CNN investigation has uncovered a network of slave markets operating in warehouses in various cities across Libya six years after NATO-led intervention in the country toppled the government of Muammar Gaddafi in support of US and UK backed rebels. And not only did CNN confirm the presence of slave auctions where human beings are being sold for as little as $400 in "liberated" Libya, but CNN's crew was actually able to film a live auction in progress, while also gathering the testimonies of multiple victims.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, it can be aptly said that Secretary of State Clinton does, really, care about people; that is, if they had the serious money enabling them to "pay to play", and receive diplomatic favors from her.

Clinton understood what was going to happen, but she allowed it to happen to these people, because from her perspective, those enslaved Libyans were simply the counterparts of the US nationals she characterized as "deplorables"; poor, uneducated, and victims of their fate because they have been "gamed" by the very Libyan rebels she had supported.

Saudi-Israeli Collusion? Is Israel Seeking Role as Leader of the Sunni Bloc?

Israel has instructed its overseas embassies to lobby their respective host countries in support of Saudi Arabia and its apparent efforts to destabilise Lebanon, a recently leaked diplomatic cable shows.

The cable appears to be the first formal confirmation of rumours that Israel and Saudi Arabia are colluding to stoke tensions in the region.

Sent by the Israeli foreign ministry and disclosed by Israel’s Channel 10 news this week, the cable demanded that diplomats stress Iran and Hezbollah’s engagement in “regional subversion”.

That closely echoes accusations Riyadh levelled against Tehran and the Lebanese faction in recent days.

Analysts have noted that diplomatic moves by Israel to intervene directly in a seemingly internal Arab matter are “very rare”.

Yossi Alpher, a former adviser to Ehud Barak when he was Israeli prime minister, called the cable “extremely presumptuous”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to remember that Netanyahu is facing a bribery/corruption charge at home. this makes him a very politically vulnerable "wounded animal" in Israeli politics, and and all wounded animals are dangerous.

This new purge by Prince Salman may have been interpreted by Netanyahu as a "the enemy of my enemy (Iran/Hezbullah) is my friend" moment, to further factionalize the Middle East, and potentially give him the momentum to attack both Lebanon and Iran, to misdirect political attention away from his corruption issues, and toward those countries which have been declared Israel's "existential enemies" in the region.

ISRAEL USES U.S. TAX DOLLARS TO ABUSE PALESTINIAN CHILDREN. THIS BILL WOULD PUT AN END TO THAT.

CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS are frequent victims of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories. They face physical abuse by Israeli military forces and are shuffled through an unfair court system without access to legal counsel or even their parents.

The United States has long subsidized these abuses, giving billions of dollars in military aid to Israel every year. Now, a group of Democratic members of Congress is saying enough is enough.

Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., and nine co-sponsors on Tuesday introduced legislation that would require the U.S. State Department to certify every year that American military aid is not being used to fund the systematic abuse of Palestinian children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good on all the sponsors of this bill; unfortunately, however, I would politely suggest that, due to the direct pressure from AIPAC and Israel (and why are members of AIPAC not required to register as representatives of a foreign country, BTW?!?), this bill has as much likelihood of passing as do pigs discovering that they are aerodynamic.

Netanyahu: Israel Will Act Alone to Force Iran Out of Syria

On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that the most recent ceasefire announcement did not involve any commitment for Russia to force Iran out of Syria, saying that Iran can maintain a legitimate presence in Syria.

This isn’t sitting well with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who urged the world to unite and force Iran out of Syria at all costs. Now, he’s saying Israel is prepared to act alone to ensure Iran has no permanent presence there.

The narrative of Iran even wanting a “permanent” presence in Syria seems to be more or less wholly an Israeli creation, based on reports of building at a Syrian military facility somehow being extrapolated to it being an “Iranian base.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Israel's Netanyahu has just declared war on Syria.

But of course, in light of the reality that Netanyahu's corruption trial is about to move forward,
Netanyahu to see bribery charges, what can one reasonably expect him to do, sit down and hum "Kumbiya"?!?

He is a politically wounded animal at this point; and politically wounded animals are highly dangerous.

Do not rule out some incredibly brazen Israeli military actions against Iran, Lebanon, or Syria, at this point, and rather immediately.

House Passes $700 Billion Military Spending Bill

The House and Senate had some differences on the 2018 military spending bill, but reached a compromise last week. The House passed this $700 billion spending and policy bill Tuesday with a 356-70 vote.

The bill includes $634 billion for “core operations,” and $66 billion in Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO). The OCO budget is notoriously used by the Pentagon to shift money around to various programs as officials see fit without having to ask Congress to fund them.

This massive bill is the culmination of months of officials trying to outspend one another, with President Trump proposing what he described as one of the biggest increases ever, followed by both houses of Congress outdoing that, and then trying to outdo each other.

This bill includes funding for myriad new research schemes, including the possibility of creating a new Space Corps and fighting wars in space. It also attempts to assert more Armed Services Committee oversight over military cyber operations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We have reached a phase in American governance where US legislators no longer represent their alleged constituents; they only represent the corporations which own them, and a large swathe of them are from the military/industrial complex.

I am sure that many of these CEOS are absolutely and thoroughly delighted in how their current "legislative assets" have paid off, royally, for them.

Hillary Clinton PERSONALLY Overturned Visa Ban for Islamist Figure Now Accused of Rape

European Islamist scion Tariq Ramadan was banned from the U.S. by the Bush administration in February 2004 for his financial support of a charity that funded terrorist groups. In January 2010, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton overturned that ban. Clinton personally approved a visa for the controversial grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Now, Tariq Ramadan is facing multiple accusations of rape and sexual assault of minors.

Hillary Clinton's visa for Tariq Ramadan was seen as part of the new Obama administration policy of embracing more hardcore Islamists.

The New York Times reported in 2010:

Six years after using the Patriot Act to revoke the visa of a prominent Muslim academic, the United States State Department reversed itself and said Wednesday that it would no longer bar the scholar from entering the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact this report is true, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise.

When you look at the countries from which the Clinton Foundation routinely took money, the following would leap out at you:

Mrs. Clinton commemorates her 1995 women’s rights speech in Beijing in back-to-back events in New York, she finds herself under attack for her family foundation’s acceptance of millions of dollars in donations from Middle Eastern countries known for violence against women and for denying them many basic freedoms.

Five Countries Clinton’s Cozy With That ‘Treat Women Like Animals’

In terms of past behaviour, and her acceptance of money (ANYONE'S MONEY FOR INFULENCE), This appears to be predictably true, in terms of Clinton's character (or excessive absence thereof).

Saudi alliance bombs Sanaa airport, blocking aid access

Houthi officials told Al Jazeera two air strikes targeted Sanaa's international airport in the rebel-held capital early on Tuesday, making it unusable for aid flights and further complicating humanitarian efforts into the country.

"This attack is intended to cause maximum damage and deprive millions of Yemenis from receiving life-saving food and medicines," Mohammed, a Houthi official who declined to give his surname, said.

The Saudi-led coalition forced the closure of Sanaa airport in August 2016 to all but a few UN aid flights.

The Houthi-run General Authority for Civil Aviation said in a statement the air strike "led to the total destruction of the VOR/DME radio navigation system, taking it offline and thus halting the only flights at Sanaa airport - those of the UN and other international organisations delivering humanitarian assistance".

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am still rather surprised, after the aborted Houthi missile reaching Riadh ast week, that Saudi Arabia has just not hauled off and carpet bombed all of the major cities left standing in Yemen.

That might, however, be the next move on Prince Salman's part, in his ongoing frustration with the intense stalemate going on here in Yemen.

Saudi Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomes Lebanese Patriarch

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Lebanese Patriarch Bechara Boutros al Rahi, Tuesday, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz received earlier today the Lebanese Maronite Patriarch at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting tackled brotherly relations between the Saudi kingdom and Lebanon and confirmed the importance of different religions and cultures in strengthening tolerance, rejecting violence, extremism and terrorism and achieving peace and security for the region’s people and the world.

A number of Saudi ministers including Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir and Gulf Affairs Minister Thamer al-Sabhan attended the reception.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Great optics for the Prince; but I have to wonder why in the Sam Hill Lebanese Maronite Patriarch Al Rahi actually consented to meet with Prince Salman in the first place.

After all, Saudi Arabia is a country where the profession of Christianity is treated as a crime, potentially punishable by death.

The following article goes on to state:

"here are more than a million Roman Catholics in Saudi Arabia. Most of them are expatriate Filipinos who work there, but are not Saudi Arabian citizens.[1][6] The percentage of Christians of all denominations among the roughly 1.2 million Filipinos in Saudi Arabia likely exceeds 60%.[7] There are also Christians from Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Greece, South Korea, Ireland, the United Kingdom, India, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and as well a number of Christians from sub-Saharan countries who are working in the Saudi Kingdom.[7]

Saudi Arabia allows Christians to enter the country as foreign workers for temporary work, but does not allow them to practice their faith openly.

Because of that Christians generally only worship within private homes.[7] Items and articles belonging to religions other than Islam are prohibited.[7] These include Bibles, crucifixes, statues, carvings, items with religious symbols, and others.[7]

The Saudi Arabian Mutaween (Arabic: مطوعين‎‎), or Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (i.e., the religious police) prohibits the practice of any religion other than Islam.[7] Conversion of a Muslim to another religion is considered apostasy,[7] a crime punishable by death if the accused does not recant. There have been no confirmed reports of executions for either crime in modern times.

[7] The Government does not permit non-Muslim clergy to enter the country for the purpose of conducting religious services.[7] In spite of this, a 2015 study estimates that there are some 60,000 Christians with a Muslim background living in the country, though that does not mean that all of those are citizens of the country.[8]

International Christian Concern (ICC) protested what it reported as the 2001 detention of 11 Christians in Saudi Arabia, for practicing their religion in their homes.[9] In June 2004, at least 46 Christians were arrested in what the ICC described as a "pogrom-like" action by Saudi police. The arrests took place shortly after the media reported that a Quran had been desecrated in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[10]

Christians and other non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the cities of Mecca and Medina, Islam's holiest cities.[7]"

Jeff Sessions: 'Not enough basis' for special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton

Jeff Sessions on Tuesday said there was “not enough basis” to appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton, a day after reports surfaced that the attorney general had authorized senior prosecutors at the Department of Justice to evaluate an inquiry into the Clinton Foundation.

Testifying before the House judiciary committee, Sessions also appeared to push back on Donald Trump’s repeated insistence that the FBI should focus on investigating Clinton as opposed to potential collusion between his own presidential campaign and Russia.

“The Department of Justice can never be used to retaliate politically against opponents. That would be wrong,” Sessions said when asked about Trump’s tweets calling on the DoJ to investigate his former rival in the 2016 presidential race.

“The president speaks his mind. He is bold and direct about what he says,” Sessions added. “We do our duty every day based on the facts.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congrats, Jeff Sessions; you have just transformed the US Government's alleged "Justice Department" into the "Just Us" Department, and completely destroyed whatever professional credibility you might have had, to the point of no return.

Against the adamant wishes of the constitutions framers, in 1913 the Federal Reserve System was Congressionally created. Although parts of the Federal Reserve System share some characteristics with private-sector entities, the Federal Reserve was supposedly established to serve the public interest.

How the Developments in Saudi Arabia May Foretell Collapse of Petrodollar

Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has vowed to return his country to "moderate Islam"; the pledge was followed by the dismissal and detainment of many of the country's high-profile princes and businessmen. Turkish energy analyst Dr Volkan Ozdemir commented that it is not about politics but rather about economics and petrodollars.

In his interview with Sputnik Turkiye, Volkan Ozdemir, the Chairman of Ankara-based EPPEN (Institute for Energy Markets and Policies), said that Riyadh is possibly cleaning out the opponents to the oil trade in US dollars and the changes the country is currently living through could be viewed as part of the US' attempt to fight against a strengthening China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

China and Russia are already bypassing the dollar as their financial medium of exchange in a number of transactions, and this appears to be becoming a trend, particularly with the BRIC countries; the US government certainly does not want to see that trend accelerated, and will do everything within its power to stop it, including waging war.

Psychiatrist: US Doesn't Need People 'Hearing Voices' Leading Troops Into Battle

The US army has expanded its waivers for recruits with a history of particular mental health issues. People with a history of self-injuring, bipolar disorder, depression and addiction are now free to sign up. Dr. Elspeth Ritchie, a former chief psychiatrist in the army explained why such a decision has been made and what the risks of it are.
Sputnik: What’s your general take on the reports? Is there any reason for concern or is it rather a victory for people who have had historical mental disorders?

Webmaster's Commentary:

This decision should win the award for one of the most brain-dead decisions ever made by the US military, but what it demonstrates is painfully telling; the US military is running out of qualified volunteers to become US service members.

Can a US draft, of both our young men and our young women, be very far behind?!?

I would think not.

Damascus: Uninvited US Presence in Syria Constitutes Act of Aggression

The Syrian Foreign Ministry has commented on the remarks by the Pentagon chiefs who said that the presence of the United States in Syria had been approved by the United Nations as Washington is fighting Daesh terrorists.
On Tuesday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry commented on US Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis' statements about the US presence in Syria, who said that US forces won't leave the Middle East country until they achieve their goals there.

"Syria once again declares that the presence of American forces or any other military presence in Syria without the consent of the Syrian government is an aggressive violation of Syria's sovereignty and a flagrant contravention of the UN's foundations," the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in response to Mattis.

Military Coup Reportedly Under Way In Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is on edge amid speculation that a military coup is in progress, with army tanks seen outside the capital a day after the army commander threatened to "step in" to calm political tensions over the president's firing of his vice president. The Associated Press said it saw three tanks with several soldiers in a convoy on a road heading toward an army barracks just outside the capital, Harare, while Reuters reported that four tanks were seen heading toward the capital.

Bombshell Report Confirms US Coalition Struck A Deal With ISIS

At a moment of widespread acknowledgement that the short-lived Islamic State is no longer a reality, and as ISIS is about to be defeated by the Syrian Army in its last urban holdout of Abu Kamal City in eastern Syria, the US is signalling an open-ended military presence in Syria. On Monday Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon that the US is preparing for a long term military commitment in Syria to fight ISIS "as long as they want to fight."

Mattis indicated that even should ISIS loose all of its territory there would still be a dangerous insurgency that could morph into an "ISIS 2.0" which he said the US would seek to prevent. “The enemy hasn’t declared that they’re done with the area yet, so we’ll keep fighting as long as they want to fight,” Mattis said. “We’re not just going to walk away right now before the Geneva process has traction.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is apparent that, in Sec Def Mattis' weltanschauung, there is no such thing as a sovereign country whatsoever, and the US government and military have the "divine right" to build military bases where ever it sees fit, never mind the political will of the government which actually runs that country.

Has Al Assad gotten the memo on this, and almost as importantly, has Russia's Putin received the memo on this?!?

Is Mattis gaming for war against Russia in Syria?!? Because THAT... would, indeed, be a nasty turn of events, if true.

Will America Survive Washington? Is the US Preparing a Nuclear First Strike on Russia?

Lt. Gen. Viktor Poznihir, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, stated at the Moscow International Security Conference that the Operations Command of the Russian General Staff has concluded that Washington is preparing a nuclear first strike on Russia.

The other is the report that the US is collecting Russian DNA for the US Air Force weapons laboratory, the implication being that the US intends to research if a bio-weapon can be created that only targets Russians.

As far as I can ascertain, neither of these startling developments were reported in the US media. One would think that the White House would have been on the telephone to Putin giving reassurances that the US is not planning a surprise nuclear attack on Russia. One would think that the publication of US contracts for Russian DNA and Putin’s public statement about it would have immediately resulted in President Trump ordering a halt to the Russian DNA project.

MIDEAST TURMOIL: FOLLOW THE OIL, FOLLOW THE MONEY

In this scenario, time is running out for Saudi Arabia's free-spending royalty and state - and for all the other free-spending oil exporters.

While there are numerous dynamics at work in the turmoil roiling Saudi Arabia and by extension, the Mideast, one way to cut to the chase is to follow the oil, follow the money. Correspondent B.D. recently posited a factor that has been largely overlooked in the geopolitical / fate-of-the-petrodollar discussions:

Perhaps the core dynamic is a technical one of diminished oil production. Here is Bart's commentary:

"I think the Saudis may be quickly running out of profitable oil to produce/export.

I think they tried to over-produce for a while to damage the competition... and they now have production issues resulting from that. (As has happened in the past)

News nanny: The race to censor Internet news

How can you tell that Internet censorship is really taking off? Easy. It’s becoming a business model.

Steven Brill is raising $6 million to launch News Guard. This new service will rate news sites on their trustworthiness from green to red. Forget politically unbiased algorithms. The ratings will be conducted by “qualified, accountable human beings” from teams of “40 to 60 journalists.” Once upon a time, journalism meant original writing. Now it means deciding which original writing to censor.

“Can trust be monetized?” The Street’s article on News Guard asks. But it isn’t really trust that’s being monetized. It’s censorship. It’s doing the dirty work that Google and Facebook don’t want to do.

The Whiskey Rebellion: How Brand New America Tore Up The Bill of Rights

223 years ago today, “The Dreadful Night” occurred in Western Pennsylvania, after an uprising called The Whiskey Rebellion.

The United States was brand new. Soldiers who had fought for independence from Great Britain found themselves on opposite sides of a skirmish. Some were having their rights violated practically before the ink was dry on the Bill of Rights. Other Veterans of the Revolution were doing the oppressing at Alexander Hamilton’s behest.

The Whiskey Rebellion saw farmers stand up to an unfair tax handed down by the federal government, and the government responded with the force of a monarchy. It may have all sprung from Alexander Hamilton’s desire for glory. Or Hamilton, the first Secretary of Treasury, may have had other motives for setting the precedent of force which still lives on today.

Congressional hearing on Jerusalem shuts out Palestinians

Palestinians need not apply.

The subcommittee on national security in the US House of Representatives hosted five witnesses on Wednesday to address the bombshell issue of moving the US embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

But not one of the witnesses was a Palestinian or spoke for Palestinian rights and interests.

The hearing indicates that conservative members of Congress are intent on upping the pressure on Donald Trump to relocate the embassy. Initiation of the move could come as soon as 1 December when the president will once again have to decide whether to sign a waiver delaying such a move for another six months.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Army lifts ban on recruits with mental health history

People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.

The decision to open Army recruiting to those with mental health conditions comes as the service faces the challenging goal of recruiting 80,000 new soldiers through September 2018. To meet last year's goal of 69,000, the Army accepted more recruits who fared poorly on aptitude tests, increased the number of waivers granted for marijuana use and offered hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses.

Expanding the waivers for mental health is possible in part because the Army now has access to more medical information about each potential recruit, Lt. Col. Randy Taylor, an Army spokesman, said in a statement. The Army issued the ban on waivers in 2009 amid an epidemic of suicides among troops.

What Craziness Is Going on in Saudi Arabia?

But behind all this lies the stalemated Saudi war against wretched Yemen, the Arab world’s poorest, most backwards nation. Saudi Arabia has been heavily bombing Yemen for over two years, using US-supplied warplanes, munitions, including cluster bombs and white phosphorus, and US Air Force management. A Saudi blockade of Yemen, aided by the US, has caused mass starvation and epidemics such as cholera.

When I first explored Yemen, in the mid 1970’s, it was just creeping out of the 12th century AD. Today, it’s been bombed back into the 6th Century.

In spite of spending over $200 million daily (not including payoffs to `coalition’ members like Egypt) the Saudis are stuck in a stalemated conflict against Yemen’s Shia Houthi people. The US and Britain are cheerfully selling bombs and weapons to the Saudis. President Donald Trump has been lauding the destruction of Yemen because he mistakenly believes Iran is the mainstay of the anti-Saudi resistance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We could well be looking at a regional, if not a world war here, particularly if Russia intervenes on Iran's behalf, which should well be a large part of Prince Salman's calculus here, but most probably is not.

Washington’s Drug of Choice in the War on Terror

As you read today’s piece by historian and TomDispatch regular Alfred McCoy, author most recently of In the Shadows of the American Century: The Rise and Decline of U.S. Global Power, think of Afghanistan as the gateway drug for three Washington administrations.

Meanwhile, the whole question of opium eradication has, according to Mashal, gotten surprisingly "little attention in the Trump administration’s new strategy for the Afghan war." It seems that U.S. counter-narcotics officials have come to accept a new reality "with a sense of helplessness" – that the country now supplies 85% of the world’s heroin and there’s no end to this in sight.

Israeli Army to Demolish Homes, Expel Hundreds of Palestinians From Jordan Valley

The Israeli Army is preparing to demolish an entire neighborhood of Palestinian homes in the Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank. The neighborhood is home to some 300 Palestinians, who will be expelled from the area.

The Israeli Army is using the military order meant to allow for the evacuation of illegal settler outposts, but simply applying it to Palestinians who they say the Israeli military never authorized to live in the region.

The document was signed by Israeli Maj. Gen. Roni Numa, and was not given to any of the Palestinians to be expelled. Instead, a single copy with a vague map of the area to be demolished was left on the road nearby.

Report: Post-9/11 War Debt Will Cost $8 Trillion in Interest

The cost of America’s global war on terror has yet to be reckoned with, and there’s a very good reason for that. By and large, the US has not been paying for all of these wars, but rather has been borrowing to pay for the conflict.

In the long run that’s going to be expensive. Paying off the war is going to mean not only paying the prices of the conflict but the massive interest accrued in borrowing the cost of those wars.

A new report suggests that just the interest on all that debt will, over the course of decades of servicing it, cost an estimated $8 trillion. So far, they say, the US has paid $534 billion in overseas contingency operations interest.

And that’s just the debt already accrued. America’s assorted wars show no sign of ending, and indeed the Pentagon has been pretty clear about the US deployment in Iraq being a permanent thing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why you have to understand that all wars are bankers' wars, because they are SO PROFITABLE for financial institutions.

Tel Aviv signals Israel will continue striking Syria with no respect to de-escalation zone agreement

The Israeli regime has signaled that Tel Aviv would continue with military strikes across the Syrian border to thwart any alleged encroachment by Iranian-allied forces, including the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, even by violating a de-escalation zone designated by Russia and the US in the southwest of the Arab country.
Back on July 7, Russia, the US and Jordan agreed to back a ceasefire in southwestern Syria and to establish a de-escalation zone in the Syrian provinces of Dara’a, Suwayda and Quneitra, which borders the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The truce came into force two days later and proved to be helpful in reducing fighting in the designated area.

Israel has already said that it refuses to abide by the July 7 truce deal. Later in the month, the regime’s Minister of Military Affairs Avigdor Liberman affirmed that “Israel reserves its complete freedom of action, regardless of any understandings or developments” in the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The real question here is, how long will Russia put put up with this nonsense before it hauls off and teaches Israel a lesson about operating destructively where it does not belong?!?

TSA PLANS TO USE FACE RECOGNITION TO TRACK AMERICANS THROUGH AIRPORTS

While this latest plan is limited to the more than 5-million Americans who have chosen to apply for PreCheck, it appears to be part of a broader push within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to expand its collection and use of biometrics throughout its sub-agencies. For example, in pilot programs in Georgia and Arizona last year, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) used face recognition to capture pictures of travelers boarding a flight out of the country and walking across a U.S. land border and compared those pictures to previous recorded photos from passports, visas, and “other DHS encounters.” In the Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for those pilot programs, CBP said that, although it would collect face recognition images of all travelers, it would delete any data associated with U.S. citizens. But what began as DHS’s biometric travel screening of foreign citizens morphed, without congressional authorization, into screening of U.S. citizens, too.

BEX ALERT - Fake News `Nearly Overwhelming,' EU Says as It Weighs Fightback

The European Commission is seeking views on how to stem an “almost overwhelming” tide of online misinformation in a move that may assess how far Facebook Inc. and Google have managed to fight back on fake news.

Regulators are attempting to tackle concerns that false news reports might have sought to influence French and German elections this year as well as votes in Catalonia, the Netherlands and the U.K. French President Emmanuel Macron earlier this year accused Russia of meddling in the country’s election by putting out fake news.

ARAB LEAGUE SET TO HOLD EMERGENCY MEETING, AS SAUDI ARABIA AND ISRAEL PREPARE FOR WAR AGAINST “IRANIAN EXPANSION”

Egypt-based Ahram Online reports that the Arab League is set to hold an emergency meeting on Iran at Saudi Arabia’s request in order to discuss “Iranian interference” in the region at League headquarters in Cairo.

Early unconfirmed reports indicate the meeting could take place next Sunday.

According to Zerohedge, news of the Arab League extraordinary session comes as tensions are at breaking point as regional powers – especially Saudi Arabia and Israel – talk war against perceived Iranian expansion and domination in the Middle East.

Via Reuters…

Saudi Arabia has called for an urgent meeting of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo next week to discuss Iran’s intervention in the region, an official league source told Egypt’s MENA state news agency on Sunday.

The call came after the resignation of Lebanon’s prime minister pushed Beirut back into the center of a rivalry between Sunni kingdom Saudi Arabia and Shi‘ite Iran and heightened regional tensions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Saudis may not have have much of an appetite for a direct confrontation with Hezbollah in Syria, but Israel will use any excuse to claim the Litani River in Lebanon as its own.

Such a war will most probably include Russia, on Iran's side, and the US and Saudi Arabia against Iran, and has all the potential of going global.

Even if you think such a war has no potential to affect you, please think again.

IF there is no quick end to this, look for a reinstitution of the draft in this country, coming after both our young men, and our young women.

Geopolitical Tsunami: Pax Americana, Petrodollar, & The Coming Crisis In The Gulf

How to make sense of this all?

An author on twitter by the handle Black Pigeon Speaks beautifully outlines today’s events in an easy to understand video titled: PAX AMERICANA, PetroDollar & the Coming CRISIS in the GULF…

The author of the video focuses on the Middle East and says a perfect storm is gathering upon the horizon, as the whole world is changing and the only way to change it for the better is to understand the world around you.

The video opens up with a brief understanding of the stunning purge in Saudi Arabia and how it has cleared any potential obstacles for King Salman’s son ascension to the throne.

This was done by a widespread arrest of royals, ministers and businessmen who have large sums of money and control key parts of the economy and parts of the military. Such an unorthodox move is bound to force internal conflict with-in the country that could very well spillover.

Trump’s CIA Is Laying the Groundwork for a Devastating War on Iran, with Help from Neocon Think Tank

President Donald Trump has, since the beginning of his term, made aggressive opposition to Iran a key feature of his foreign policy. He has surrounded himself with anti-Iran hawks in the White House, and pledged to unilaterally “tear up” the nuclear deal agreed to by major world powers.

Saudi Arabia, a key U.S. proxy in the Middle East, has in recent weeks escalated its campaign against Iran. The Saudi monarchy pressured Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri to resign, and has been accused of holding him hostage. The kingdom then effectively declared war on Lebanon, in the name of countering Iran and its ally Hezbollah.

President Trump has praised Saudi Arabia’s belligerent intervention and foreign meddling, even while accusing Tehran of doing exactly what Riyadh is doing. The U.S. government is working very closely with the Saudi monarchy and Israel to, in Trump’s words, “counter the regime’s destabilizing activity.”

Supposed Al Qaeda links

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are only two teensy tinsy problems with this scenario.

And President Trump, attempting to go to this well of lies, in attempting to "win" American opinion to the point where they will volunteer their kids to be slaughtered in such an upcoming meatgrinder, will not work.

First, it wasn't Bin Laden who was assassinated in May 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan; Bin Laden died of natural causes in December of 2001.

Bin Laden's Obituary Notice

Bin Laden already dead

The Big Lie: Obama did not kill Bin Laden

Therefore, the "allegedly" previously unreleased CIA docyments, attempting to link Iran to Al-Qaeda cannot possibly be real.

Remember; it is the job of the US government to lie to you to create narrative to further its agenda. Right now, the agenda is regime change in Tehran.

And Presidend Trump, I know you are getting cheerled by Riyahd and Tel Aviv toward this end, but please understand; these actions, to accomplish such an outcome, will only come at the costs of American blood, and American money.

And as a footnote, Mr. President, for decades, Russian politicians and military professionals have pledged that if Iran is attacked, they will come to its aid militarily.

Is Iran worth fightng World War III with Russia over potential regime change in Tehran?!? Please think about this very seriously.

TRUMP POINTS TO FALSEHOODS IN "RUSSIAN HACKING" CLAIMS - MEDIA STILL IGNORE THEM

During the flight of his recent Asia tour U.S. President Donal Trump held a press gaggle on board of the plane. Part of it were questions and answers about the alleged "Russian hacking" of the U.S. election.

There is no public transcript available yet but the Washington Post's Mark Berman provided a screenshot of some relevant parts:

Full comment from @realDonaldTrump again questioning the US intel community conclusion that Russia meddled last year
In the attached transcript Trump talks about his very short encounter with the Russian President Putin in Hanoi:

Q: When did you bring up the issue of election meddling? Did you ask him a question?
A: Every time he sees me he says he didn't do that and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it. But he says, I didn't do that. I think he is very insulted by it, ... ...

He says that very strongly and he really seems to be insulted by it he says he didn't do it.

Plague fears grow as Malawi becomes tenth African nation put on alert for the spread of the killer disease

Malawi is bracing itself for an outbreak of the plague after the deadly disease continues to spread across the island nation of Madagascar.
At least 143 people have died and more than 2,000 others have been infected in Madagascar since an outbreak in early August this year.

Yet Malawi's health secretary confirmed the country is ready for any reported cases of the disease amid mounting concerns of Africa's 'porous borders'.
Dr Dan Namarika, principal secretary in the ministry of health, said the country were working in conjunction with Mozambique to help best prepare for a possible outbreak.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Madagascar... is an island.

It would be a simple thing to close down the airport and the ports, to keep the contagion from spreading, yet this has not been not done by the government of Madagascar; why?!?

US Slow-Motion Shutdown of RT and Sputnik? Threat to Free Speech and Independent Media

Hostile US demands on popular English-language Russian media, combined with social media censorship of alternative views called “fake news,” threatens press freedom in America.

It’s tyranny by any standard, the way all police states operate, controlling news, information and analysis, suppressing alternative truth-telling, notably on vital issues.

America is on a dangerous slippery slope in this direction, the future of independent reporting and commentaries at stake, along with other fundamental freedoms – gravely threatened if speech, media and academic freedoms are lost.

The Justice Department demanded a company providing services for RT America register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). An FBI probe is checking for Sputnik News for FARA violations.

FARA was enacted in 1938, aimed at checking NAZI propaganda near the onset of WW II.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is no other way to characerize this DOJ demand as completely, utterly insane, and appears to me to be a prelude to war with Russia, for which NATO appears to be so breathlessly preparing.

From Superpower to Incompetence

One could go on endlessly.

Instead, I will relate a story of everyday incompetencies that have prevented me from writing this week and for a few more days yet.

Recently, while away from my home, a heavy equipment operator working on a nearby construction site managed to drive under power lines with the fork lift raised. Instead of breaking the wire, it snapped the pole in half that conveyed electric power to my house. The power company came out, or, as I suspect, an outsourced contractor, who reestablished power to my home but did not check that the neutral wire was still attached. Consequently for a week or so my house experienced round the clock surges of high voltage that blew out the surge protection, breaker box, and every appliance in the house. Expecting my return, the house was inspected, and the discovery was that there was no power. Back came the power company and discovered that high voltage was feeding into the house and had destroyed everything plugged in.

Muhammd Bin-Salman’s Purge in Saudi Arabia Is the Prelude to Something Bigger

Muhammad Bin-Salman’s domestic purge, including the detention of 11 princes and scores of businessmen and former officials under the banner of fighting corruption, is only a first phase. It seems to haves proceeded smoothly so far, without encountering any serious obstacles.

The man now has now brought the four major pillars of state power – the economy, the security and military forces, the media and the religious establishment (both the official Council of Senior Ulema and the unofficial ‘awakening’ clerics) — totally under his control. He has thrown all his opponents, and anyone who uttered any criticism of his rule, behind bars (or, in the case of the princes and other high-ranking figures, incarcerated them in a luxury hotel for now). The latest round of detentions is unlikely to be the last, for we are dealing here with a bulldozer that levels everything that stands in its path.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is one factor which the writer absolutely misses in his analysis of the situation, and that is the question of what Russia is willing - and prepared - to do if Iran gets attacked by a Saudi coalition.

Russian military and civilian leadership has always pledged to come to Iran's aid if it is attacked militarily; so I think the question here, has to be what will Russia do, and how far will it go, to prevent regime change in Tehran?!?

The US Southern Command's Silent Occupation of the Amazon

Brazil, Colombia and Peru share a triple borderland separating north from south on the South American continent. Located deep in the Amazon forest, this is the theater of operations in which more than 30 military companies test their services and merchandise. The multinational military exercise known as AmazonLog2017, is organized by the Armed Forces of Brazil.

The Southern Command of the United States -- the Unified Combatant Command of the United States Department of Defense with influence in the Caribbean, Central and South America -- is also an AmazonLog2017 participant.

Activists and researchers are alarmed about this military exercise. According to Mexican economist and geopolitical specialist Ana Esther Ceceña, AmazonLog2017 allows "the placement of troops that facilitate specific territorial incursions and rapid response operations, both of which imply the use of special forces, whether those be US forces, local or private on the triple borderland."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Once permanent, such a presence will also put the American troops in control of a huge amount territory where cocaine is processed, just as has Afghanistan, in the control of the opium poppy business, given various US alpha-bet soup agencies the ability to finance off-the-books operations which have zero Congressional oversight.

At UN, US warns of potential security threat from Venezuela

The United States hopes that a meeting next week at the United Nations on Venezuela will pave the way to international action to prevent the crisis from turning into a security threat, according to a US document sent to the Security Council on Friday.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley will chair the informal council meeting on Monday held as Venezuela, already reeling from political and economic crises, teeters on the brink of default.

"The international community needs to work collectively to address the unfolding crisis and its humanitarian impact in Venezuela and beyond before it worsens and potentially develops into a threat to international peace and security," the US mission said in the document obtained by AFP.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a double Picard facepalm, at warp speed, upon reading this.

Ambassador Haley, do you not understand that it has been, in large part, courtesy of US sanctions against Venezuela that people are dying, and represent utterly no "threat" whatsoever, except that conjured in your febrile brain?!?

The Venezuelan people people need humanitarian aid, and right the heck now; food, water, shelter, and medications; but to criminalize them as a "threat" is just plain hipocritical , not to mention entirely insane.

Hezbollah's Nasrallah: Saudi Arabia inciting Israel to attack Lebanon

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised speech on Friday that Saudi Arabia had declared war on Lebanon, claiming that the kingdom had incited Israel to strike Lebanon.

“Saudi Arabia is inciting Israel to launch a war against Lebanon," said Nasrallah.

"I speak here about facts not analysis. Saudi Arabia is ready to pay tens of billions of dollars to Israel for that,” he added.

Nasrallah also drew parallels between the current situation and 2006 when Hezbollah fought a devastating war with Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

"We know now through Israeli media that the 2006 war on Lebanon was prolonged by Saudi when Israel wanted it to end."

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF what Nazrallah is saying is a correct assessment of the situation, look for either Israel iand/or Saudi military strikes to happen in Lebanon very quickly.

Japan's biggest warship to drill with U.S. carriers near Korean peninsula

Japan said on Friday it would send one of its two big helicopter carriers, the largest warship in its fleet, along with two escorts to join three U.S. aircraft carriers for exercises in waters close to the Korean peninsula.

The Japanese ships Ise, Inazuma and Makinami will sail with the USS Ronald Reagan, USS Nimitz and USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Sea of Japan and East China Sea on Sunday, Japan’s Maritime Self Defence Force said in a press release.

It is the first time three American carriers have trained together in a decade. The show of force comes as U.S. President Donald Trump meets with regional leaders at an Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Vietnam.

Trump is on a 12-day tour of Asia and has already made stops in Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing.

His administration has demanded that North Korea halt ballistic missile and nuclear tests. The naval exercise will be a potent reminder to Pyongyang of the U.S. ability to rapidly mobilize military force.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly think that the signals President Trump got from Beijing put the issue of North Korea on the proverbial "back burner", at least for the time being; the infinitely more rapidly emerging and volatile struggles are happening in the Middle East, between angagonists Saudi Arabia and Iran, where a war of words may spill out into a hot war, and very quickly.

Shocking bodycam video appears to show officers PLANT cocaine in a black suspect's wallet during an arrest

Footage from a Los Angeles Police Department officer's body camera appears to show the cop planting cocaine on a black suspect during an arrest.

The video was taken during an arrest in April when officers stopped 52-year-old Ronald Shields, who they suspected had been involved in a hit-and-run crash.

It was first obtained and posted online by CBS-LA, prompting the LAPD to announce they had launched an internal investigation into the officer on Friday.

The Best Way to Honor a Vet is With the Truth

American troops, guns, money, and blood bought us time and a seemingly graceful exit. That’s about all. Iraq’s government never gained legitimacy in the Kurdish north or Sunni west. Corruption and sectarianism reigned. Our strongman, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, terrorized Sunni protesters, and kept Sunnis out of government work. The country is again in danger of fracturing. The center didn’t hold—it never could. Iraq is a mirage, a post-colonial tempest, and its problems (and solutions) are Arab and Kurdish. Not American. Neither plucky Petraeus nor his surge-enthusiast minions could change that. Nor will President Trump or any of “his” generals.

Does Trump Want a New Middle East War?

Does Donald Trump want a new Middle East war, pitting Saudi Arabia against Iran in a conflict that could lay waste to the world's oil region and drag the United States into a conflict that would make the war in Iraq look like a minor skirmish? It sure looks like it.

Indeed, it's reasonable to suspect the Trump administration had a direct hand in Saudi Arabia's newfound muscular policies. Just a few days before all of this unfolded, Jared Kushner – Trump's son-in-law, who's been given a vast portfolio for Middle East policy – made an unannounced and still unexplained visit to Saudi Arabia, where he powwowed with Mohammed bin Salman. Kushner, 36, and MBS, 32, reportedly spent long hours, just the two of them, deep in conversation. "MBS is emboldened by strong support from President Trump and his inner circle, who see him as a kindred disrupter of the status quo — at once a wealthy tycoon and a populist insurgent," wrote David Ignatius in The Washington Post.

Saudis Reopen Yemen Border Crossing, Still Block Aid

Growing complaints about the humanitarian catastrophe in Saudi-blockaded Yemen have led the Saudi government to announce that the al-Wadea border crossing is being reopened. Last week the Saudis closed all ports, airports, and land crossings.

Despite the reopening of Wadea, however, and the allowing of limited ships into southern Aden port, UN officials say that the Saudi-led coalition is still blocking all of their aid deliveries into the country, continuing the siege.

The near-term concern is for the lack of medicine, as northern Yemen is essentially out of everything at this point, and doctors say several hundred patients will die within the next week simply for lack of medicine.

The long-term prospects are even worse, with northern Yemen having an estimated six weeks of food left, and UN officials warning that “millions” could be killed by starvation if the blockade continues past that point, causing one of the worst famines in generations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand that this is precisely what Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen, wants to see happen here; and that is, a complete genocide and obliteration of the Yemeni people.

I am utterly amazed, understanding how intensely he wants this to happen, that he has not carpet-bombed the country, so that no Yemeni is left standing.

But that may well be the next phase of his operation in Yemen.

Saudi Warplanes Attack Yemeni Capital, Wounding Civilians

Saudi warplanes circled the Yemeni capital of Sanaa throughout the day, carrying out multiple attacks against the defense ministry and the surrounding area, with a number of the strikes hitting a residential area next to the ministry building.

Several homes were damaged in the strikes and one was totally destroyed, leaving only a crater. Despite this, locals could confirm no deaths from the strikes, though a substantial number of wounded were being rescued from the ruins.

These are the latest in a long series of attacks on the Yemeni capital during the Saudi war, and while the defense ministry has been targeted occasionally in the past, this appears to be the most concerted effort against the building.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the Houthi rebels are smart, this building may well be symbolic at this point, and not a center of communications at all for their activities.

But that the killing and maiming of Yemeni civilians continues, 3 years on, enabled by US military collusion, is a war crime, pure and simple, and cannot be allowed to stand by an allegedly civilised world.

Hamid Karzai: US colluded with ISIL in Afghanistan

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, has accused the US of working with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group in his country.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera's UpFront aired on Friday, Karzai said the US government had allowed ISIL, also known as ISIS, to flourish inside Afghanistan.

"In my view under the full presence, surveillance, military, political, intelligence, Daesh [ISIL] has emerged," he said.

"And for two years the Afghan people came, cried loud about their suffering, of violations. Nothing was done."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I not surprised at this, when the US had trained, equipped, and supplied ISIS in Syria andother places in the Middle East?!?!?

THE NATIONAL GUARD AND LAW ENFORCEMENT USE SECRET PLANES TO SPY ON OUR CELL PHONES

A recent article in the Texas Observer, revealed that the National Guard is using multi-protocol scanners and receivers to spy on everyone.

The National Guard and the DEA, recently purchased two DRT 1301C portable receiver systems from Digital Receiver Technology Inc., (DRT).

DRT's or 'dirt boxes' allow the National Guard and DEA to secretly listen to 10,000 cell phones at once.

According to an article in the Columbia Journalism Review (CJR) the National Guard and law enforcement use front companies like Air Cereberus and Eagle Eye Investigations to secretly spy on everyone.

CJR used an algorithm called "random forest" to reveal the identities of secret surveillance planes run by the National Guard, DHS and law enforcment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to laugh, to think that Mike and I would be considered "spy worthy" of listening in to our conversations; but then again, even in one's home, there is no protection against surveillance in this country in the 21st century.

And hey, DHS, I will give it to you straight; I am a Christian pacifist activist, who is constantly, peacefully entreating her government to resolve its geopolitical differences through moral negotiations, rather than through bombs and bullets.

I am a composer and conductor of two church choirs at a small Methodist church close to where I live, and should, at every level, be the absolute least of your problems.

But with all this high tech stuff you are flaunting, why do you have such a pathological inability to catch so few of the really bad guys?!? Why can you not protect Americans from hijackware and malware on our computers?!? Wouldn't this be a higher, and better use of your time than just spying on everyone, hoping you'll get lucky?!?

I'm just saying.......

HIVE: CIA INFRASTRUCTURE TO CONTROL ITS MALWARE

9 November 2017, WikiLeaks publishes the source code and development logs to Hive, a major component of the CIA infrastructure to control its malware.

Hive solves a critical problem for the malware operators at the CIA. Even the most sophisticated malware implant on a target computer is useless if there is no way for it to communicate with its operators in a secure manner that does not draw attention. Using Hive even if an implant is discovered on a target computer, attributing it to the CIA is difficult by just looking at the communication of the malware with other servers on the internet. Hive provides a covert communications platform for a whole range of CIA malware to send exfiltrated information to CIA servers and to receive new instructions from operators at the CIA.

The documentation for Hive is available from the WikiLeaks Vault7 series.

"ISRAEL WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN": IRAN IS REPORTEDLY BUILDING A MILITARY BASE IN SYRIA

On Friday, the "western press" started to set the stage for war between Lebanon (and Iran) and Saudi Arabia (and Israel).

Just a few hours later, a far more provocative report was published by the BBC, according to which Iran is establishing a permanent military base inside Syria, citing a Western intelligence source. The report, predictably, comes amid growing tensions over Iranian influence in Syria and across the region, and as the Saudi-Israel "alliance" is desperate to find a pretext to begin war.

As the BBC adds, the Iranian military is said to have established a compound at a site used by the Syrian army outside El-Kiswah, 14 km (8 miles) south of Damascus.

Needless to say, for Israel this would constitute the crossing of a "red line" by Iran: Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu recently warned that Iran wanted to establish itself militarily in Syria. "Israel will not let that happen," he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So let me get this straight; Israel intends to go in, guns blazing, to invade a foreign country (Syria) to get rid of the presence of another foreign country (Iran) with absolutely zero credible proof as to what the purpose of these buildings are, other than some dodgy half-claims, convenient to Israel's case for invasion, which utterly cannot be backed up by facts?!?!?

Prime Minister Netanyahu, a word, please; if the IDF goes forward and attacks, Israel will never, ever have any credibility in the world, ever again. That might not particularly matter to you, but it will matter to future generations of Israelis.

Back to the future…NATO self-fulfilling war plans for Russia

Defense ministers of the US-led NATO alliance this week endorsed proposals to set up two new military commands – and it is clear Russia is the target of what are, in effect, war plans.

The setting up of an Atlantic command and a logistical hub in Europe to facilitate the transfer of troops and weapons was openly discussed by NATO officials as being aimed at Russia during their two-day summit in Brussels this week.

The two new commands being proposed are the first expansion of NATO’s command structure since the end of the Cold War more than 25 years ago. It’s a retrograde move that is not only an unnecessary, dangerous provocation to Russia, risking self-fulfilling war threats. Moreover, NATO’s renewed organizational cranking is openly calling for the integration of European societies and economies into its madcap military escalation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia is ABSOFLIPPINGLUTLELY NOT the aggressor here; it is NATO and the US behaving in an aggressive manor, and prepping for war against Russia with these moves.

Trump backs purge of Saudi royal family – at a price

US President Donald Trump has swiftly followed up his Tuesday tweet in support of the great Saudi purge of the kingdom’s elite. A White House statement on Wednesday “welcomed” the allegation by Riyadh that Iran is supporting the Houthi militias of Yemen “including the supply of illegal arms such as ballistic missiles.”

In his tweet, Trump plunged straight into the heart of the power struggle in the House of Saud, saying “I have great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, they know exactly what they are doing … Some of those they are harshly treating have been “milking” their country for years!”

Venezuela Officially Declared In Default

Today at 11am, the ISDA Determinations Committee sits down to decide whether an event of default has occurred due to the delayed principal payment on the Petroleos de Venezuela SA, or PDVSA, bond that matured Nov. 2, in the process triggering PDVSA (and perhaps Venezuela) CDS, and officially declaring Venezuela in default.

We won't have to wait that long: moments ago, Wilmington Trust, the Trustee of the 8.5% bonds due 2018, issued by Corpoelec, Venezuela's electricity company, declared that the missed interest payment originally due October 10, and whose 30 day grace period expired on November 9, and for which no pament was sent or received, officially constitutes an event of default.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think that the question which now has to be asked, is will Venezuela be allowed to restructure their default, or will the country's economy just be pushed into complete, systemicfailure by US economic interests?!?

The Venezuelan people certainly deserve better than this.

Dijsselbloem Admits "We Used Taxpayers' Money To Bailout The Banks"

“We had a banking crisis, a fiscal crisis and we spent lot of the tax-payers’ money – in the wrong way, in my opinion – to save the banks” outgoing Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem said adding “so that the people criticizing us and saying that everything was being done for the benefit of the banks were to some extent right.”

As KeepTalkingGreece.com reports, Dijsselbloem was responding to a question posed by leftist MEP Nikos Chountis during a session at the European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee on Thursday.

“This is valid for the banks of all our countries. Everywhere in Europe banks were saved at taxpayers’ cost,” he underlined.

“This was the reason for banking union and the introduction of higher standards, better supervision and a reform and rescue framework when banks have losses,” he said stressing “precisely so that we don’t find ourselves in that situation again.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is something glaringly, institutionally wrong when these vile economic evils are committed, and no one goes to jail.

US Air Force official: Missile targeting Saudis was Iranian

Iran manufactured the ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s Shiite rebels toward the Saudi capital and remnants of it bore “Iranian markings,” the top U.S. Air Force official in the Mideast said Friday, backing the kingdom’s earlier allegations.

The comments by Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian, who oversees the Air Force’s Central Command in Qatar, further internationalizes the yearslong conflict in Yemen — the Arab world’s poorest country.

Saudi Arabia long has accused Iran of giving weapons to the Shiite rebels known as Houthis and their allies, though Tehran has just as long denied supplying them. Riyadh quickly backed up Harrigian’s allegations in a statement to The Associated Press.

“There have been Iranian markings on those missiles,” Harrigian told journalists at a news conference in Dubai ahead of the Dubai Air Show. “To me, that connects the dots to Iran.”

There was no immediate reaction from Tehran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian, a word, sir, please: have you not recieved the memo that the "big lie" went out with the whoopie cushion and the dribble glass?!?

Yemen's Defense Ministry said the missile attack "shook the Saudi capital" and the operation was successful. The attack was conducted using a Yemeni-made, long-range missile called the Burqan 2H, it said.

Sir, this is rather like pregnancy; either the weapon was Yemeni manufactured and launched, or it was not. You cannot have this both ways. And so far, both Yemeni and Saudi military experts claimed that the weapon was Yemeni in origin.

Yes, we all know what the agenda here is; to lie the American people into yet another bloody war in the Middle East against Iran for its oil resources, for which the Saudis and Israelis have been cheerleading for quite some time.

But you and your colleagues, pushing for this war, are facing a far more war-skeptical, and war-weary nation than you were right after 9/11, when the US was lied into swallowing whole that bit of codswallop that Saddam Hussein had "weapons of mass destruction."

The price for lying to the American people, and the world, Lt. Harrigian, is to never be believed again; and in your "taking one for the team" on this assertion that the missile was Iranian, and not Yemeni in origin, you have just sacrificed every bit of professional credibility you ever had, sir.

And please understand the following; while Riyadh and Tel Aviv have been advocating for regime change in Tehran, they fully expect this do be accomplished at the costs of American blood, and American money.

And please remember; should we go to war against Iran, Russian military and civilian leadership has vowed to protect it militarily; war with Russia ...over Iran?!?

For whom, sir, would this really be worth the cost?!? Not for the American kids who will die and get maimed for life in such a war; thank you, no.

As North Korean threat grows, Hawaii prepares for nuclear attack

or decades, the wail of the nuclear bomb warning siren was ubiquitous in U.S. cities. Public service commercials drilled the “duck and cover” mantra into the minds of Americans, and the possibility of a Soviet attack was always around the corner.

But after the Cold War, most places abandoned their sirens. Fears of terrorism grew more urgent and, for many younger Americans, being on notice for nuclear war became a relic of the past.

That’s no longer the case in Hawaii.

Amid increasing North Korean threats against the U.S., Hawaii has launched the most aggressive effort in the country to prepare for attack. TV commercials warn the state’s 1.4 million residents to “get inside, stay inside” if a bomb drops. State officials are holding online forums and flying between islands for town halls to field questions from residents.

On Dec. 1, the nuclear attack warning siren will be heard in the state for the first time in more than three decades.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Kim Jung Un is many things; stupid ... is not one of them.

He understands, perfectly well, that a first strike bombing of an American state, or asset, would result in his country getting bombed into molten glass by a US led coalition.

What is perhaps a more likely scenario is one of the Hawaiian islands being "sacrificed" in a false flag attack; it would not be the first time that this has happened. Think about the "incident" which drew the US into the Second World War.

Oahu surprised: FDR wasn't

Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor is a book by Robert Stinnett alleging that the Roosevelt administration deliberately provoked and allowed the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in order to bring the United States into World War II. Stinnett argues that documentary evidence shows that the attacking fleet was detected through radio and intelligence intercepts and that the information was deliberately withheld from Admiral Husband E. Kimmel, the commander of the base.

The Saudi blockade of Yemen is starving kids and killing thousands, so why is Washington still defending it?

Yemen is considered the world’s worst humanitarian disaster by the U.N.

Now, at this point, you may be thinking, “This is shocking, but ultimately not surprising. The Middle East is a chaotic and violent place, and it has been for some time. What’s happening in Yemen is an extension of the broader Sunni vs. Shiite conflict, and while it’s incredibly tragic, this is a regional conflict that we as Americans obviously can’t solve.”

True enough, but here’s the thing: That Saudi-led coalition is made possible by Washington. The blockade is happening with our government’s endorsement, and the entire Saudi intervention is happening with our government’s material and intelligence support. Washington is selling the Saudis weapons, refueling their bombers, planning their flights and using our Navy to bolster the blockade in Yemen’s ports. Ending U.S. support wouldn’t magically make Yemen peaceful, but it would let in the food and medicine ordinary people desperately need.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prince Salman, the principal architect of this genocide, has many honorifics by which he is described, due to his damned good luck in having been born into the House of Saud; however, there is one which will haunt him to his grave and beyond, and that is the following: the Butcher of Yemen.

Yes I said it, and out loud. It is absolutely impossible not to say, looking at the ongoing carnage in Yemen.

As someone who loves people in general, and hates to see people hurting or suffering, I am thoroughly appalled and disgusted to see the US government enabling Saudi war crimes in Yemen. And yet, under President Trump's watch, this is precisely what I am seeing happening in Yemen.

In fact, I am surprised that the Saudi Arabian military hasn't carpet bombed the country, killing every single Yemeni infant, woman, and medically fragile elderly person still standing; but perhaps, that is what is to come, particularly if Saudi Arabia plans to go in to Lebanon to goad Iran into fighting for Lebanese integrity, so Saudi Arabia can declare war against it.

White House Denies Approving Supply of Lethal Weapons to Ukraine

The Wall Street Journal cited unnamed US officials as saying that the White House had agreed to supply lethal weapons to Kiev, including Javelin anti-tank missiles.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US administration on Thursday denied media reports that claimed it had approved "in principle" sending lethal weapons to Ukraine.

"No, this is wrong," the White House national security official Michael Anton has told Sputnik.

US Defense Budget Earmarks $350Mln for Military Aid to Ukraine.

The Wall Street Journal's article came out a day after Congress unveiled a new US defense spending bill that authorized $350 million in security aid for Ukraine in 2018. Part of this money was earmarked for "defensive lethal assistance."

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that a decision by the United States to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine would fuel the conflict in the country's east, an argument voiced by former President Barack Obama in rejecting similar proposals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

the White House national security official Michael Anton, a word please.

One of the prices of lying to ones people about everything and anything, something to which Foggy Bottom is miserably addicted, is that you can never be believed or taken seriously again. And toward that end, I would point you in the direction of the following articles:

US Draft budget allocates lethal weapons to Ukraine

US Government authorizes one hundred fifty million dollars for lethal weapons for Ukraine

Senate-approved allocation of $500 million for defense

The last article goes on to state the following:

""The US Senate has just approved the draft of the Law on the Budget of the USA for National Defense for 2018" (NDAA). In the bill it is supposed to allocate 500 million dollars for support of Ukraine in the sphere of security and defense spheres. The draft law authorizes the provision of our country's lethal weapons of a defensive nature. It also includes provisions allowing the use of US defense budget funds for the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian military personnel in medical institutions in the United States, as well as strengthening the capabilities of the air and naval forces of our state, "he said.

Let us just say, Mr. Anton, that just a tiny bit of "due dilligence research"... is not your friend in this area, sir
