Grinning Obama JOKES during statement on Munich carnage as he shifts gears to say he'll miss daughter Malia when she leaves the nest for college

As news reports of a gun massacre in Munich crossed the Atlantic Ocean on Friday, the President of the United States was cracking jokes.
Barack Obama delivered a brief update to reporters at the White House about the still-unfolding shooting rampage that left the German city on lockdown.
Eight are confirmed dead, and 10 injured.

The president was speaking to law enforcement agents at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, adjacent to the White House.

But as cameras rolled on the somber moment, Obama grinned and chuckled – and drew laughs from his audience – about his elder daughter Malia leaving the nest and heading for college.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is perfectly predictable from one of the most emotionally "tone-deaf" Presidents we have ever had.

And of course, for a man who frequently signs off on extrajudicial assassinations around the world, the tragedy of Munich meant absolutely nothing to him.

New evidence has emerged that the Turkish government under President Erdogan is covertly providing direct military, financial and logistical support to ISIS, even while claiming to fight the terror network.

The evidence comes in the form of testimony from an ISIS terrorist captured by Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, widely recognised as the most effective force confronting ISIS on the ground.

The testimony has been reported by two Kurdish news agencies, the Syrian-Kurdish Harwar News Agency (ANHA) based in Rojava, and the Turkish-Kurdish Ajansa Nûçeyan a Firatê (Firat News Agency or ANF News). The latter’s head office is based in Amsterdam.

Websites of both news agencies are blocked in Turkey.

Interviews with the ISIS fighter, captured by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), reveal that Turkish military and security forces are facilitating ISIS operations within Syria, as well as ISIS terrorist attacks inside Turkey.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF true, this is a very damning development.

And even if not true, my bet will be that the US government will use it as anti-Turkey propaganda.

Unfortunately, however, President Obama is in a very difficult situation.

Turkey has our 2700 troops at Incerlik, and 51 nuclear bombs; Turkey has formally demanded the extradition of Imam Gulen, a demand to which the US government has not responded, and most probably will not.

And the reason I say this is because Gulen is a CIA asset, who most probably will blab everything he knows about the CIA's presence in Turkey at the first threat of "enhanced interrogation."

Look for Gulen to become "very depressed" about the situation in his homeland, get suicided", and Fedexed back to Erdogan in a cheap metal casket.

Political assassinations have become such a norm in this country that I would not bet against it right now.

The question is fundamentally what is worse, the drugs or the drug war? It seems clear to me that the drug war is far worse.

The drug war destroys lives of innocent people. It incentivises police corruption. It incentivizes the distribution of hard drugs. It puts money into the pockets of organized crime. It often keeps people who need help from getting help. It undermines our very Constitution. The drug war is a failed and very expensive social experiment. We need to find another way.

This week has culminated, once again, in loud calls for retaliation against police brutality and excessive/lethal force across the United States. As video surfaces of police trying to shoot an Autistic 23 year old man with a toy truck- instead shooting a fully complying therapist laying down next to and trying to talk the man out of suicide- anger and calls to action against police brutality and excessive force have ripped through the online community, which is still trying to come to terms with the fatal shootings of two men and a young, unarmed teen in late June and early July. So far, there have been an estimated 643 fatal police shootings of citizens in 2016, with at least 60 fatal police shootings in the month of July alone, meaning that nearly 3 citizens have been killed every day by police across the country since the beginning of the month.

Texas corrections officer 'admits he lied about checking on Sandra Bland an hour before her death and falsified jail record when she was found dead in cell'

A former Texas jail guard who said he checked on Sandra Bland an hour before she was found dead has admitted to falsifying log entries, a lawyer for Bland's family revealed.

Rafael Zuniga noted in a jail log he had checked on Bland an hour before she was discovered hanging from a jail cell partition on July 13, 2015. Her death was ruled a suicide.

The corrections officer had originally claimed he looked in on Bland at 8.01am that day. But Cannon Lambert, the family's attorney, said there was 'no question' that never happened.

Lambert said the guard has since acknowledged to falsifying the log, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Clinton Has The Gaul To Mock Trump’s Convention Speech

“His vision of America is one where we Americans are kind of helpless. We need to be rescued,” she said. “I can’t really imagine him on a white horse, but that seems to be what he is telling us: I alone can fix it.”
“Something has gone terribly wrong when one speaker says vote your conscience and gets booed,” Clinton said. “I never thought I would say these words, but Ted Cruz was right.”
“I don’t think he speaks for most Americans, do you?” Clinton asked.

“I don’t think he speaks for working families who would be devastated by his reckless economic policies,” she said. “He doesn’t speak for anyone who thinks our country should be standing together, not splintering apart. He sure doesn’t speak for me because I know we are stronger together.”

“It Is Really Hard To Argue With Trump About This”: Face It, America Is In Decline

America is in decline. There are some that still attempt to deny this, but the reason why Donald Trump’s campaign slogan has so strongly resonated with the American people is because deep inside most of us realize that America is not as great as it used to be. Our economy is a mess, we are 19 trillion dollars in debt, our infrastructure is crumbling, crime is on the rise, moral decay is all around us, other countries don’t respect us as much anymore, and our nation is the most divided that it has been in decades. Anyone that believes that America is better than it has ever been in 2016 is either completely delusional or simply has not been paying attention.

The Unavoidable Fall of the American Empire

Is America getting worse or better? Is America going to be “great” again, whatever that has meant since the 1980s? But more to the point, what difference does any of it make? Let’s be honest here about the so-called future of the United States of America. Since the dawn of what humanity likes to call “civilization” (i.e. the ability of a government to rob honest people under the guise of taxation), very few governments/nations/kingdoms have survived more than a few hundred years. Now, the United States has had a pretty good run. We’ve done a lot and accomplished a lot, not the least of which is inventing the ability to destroy the entire planet.

Pentagon Revises Law of War Policy Treating Reporters Like Spies

The Pentagon is changing the U.S. military's manual of war after listening to criticism of the language regarding journalists, which seemed to let commanders treat reporters as spies, The Huffington Post reports.

The U.S. Department of Defense manual was released in June 2015, and quickly drew attention from The New York Times, which pointed out the guidelines on journalists and called for their repeal.

Under the 2015 version, journalists could be treated as "unprivileged belligerents," which entails fewer legal protections than those afforded to prisoners of war and combatants.

"The new language is a seismic shift for the U.S. military," said Frank Smyth, senior adviser for journalist security at the Committee to Protect Journalists. "This affirmation of journalists' right to report armed conflicts freely and from all sides is especially welcome at a time when governments, militias, and insurgent forces around the world are routinely flouting the laws of war."

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...fewer legal protections than those afforded to prisoners of war and combatants."?!?!?!

Public have no right to know who is funding Hillary Clinton's $60 million coronation at Democratic National Convention, party says in bid for secrecy on donors

The host committee for the Democratic National Convention wants to keep its donor list under wraps until after the convention even though a state open records agency has ordered its release.

A Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee lawyer told a judge Thursday the release of fundraising records could harm the organization's last-minute efforts to seek donations and negotiate vendor contracts.

Lawyer David Pittinsky said those efforts were still ongoing even though the four-day convention starts Monday.

The host committee set out to raise about $60 million from private sources, but secured a $15 million line of credit from the city as a safety net. The committee must therefore file financial updates with the city.

The Crisis in Turkey Could Swallow Us All. Is America behind the Coup?

Erdogan has said he did not want to link the delivery of Gulen to Turkish justice with the continued cooperation between the U.S. and Turkey in using the Incirlik air base – thereby linking the two. Incirlik is a Turkish base with a strong NATO presence (including some 2,700 Americans). The previous Turkish commander of the base is now under arrest for his role in the coup, including sending up F-16s and refueling tankers from Incirlik. Erdogan might well ask: what did the Americans there know, and when did they know it? Incirlik is important in the war on ISIS as the base from which most air attacks on ISIS originate. Responding to the coup, the Turkish government cut power to Incirlik and imposed a no-fly zone, shutting it down. That sealed-off condition continued through July 20, with no one allowed to leave or enter the base, although air attacks on ISIS have reportedly resumed.

ISIS TERRORJUL 21 2016, 11:59 AM ETISIS Trying to Topple Saudi King with Attack on Mohammed's Mosque

Current and former U.S. officials say a recent ISIS attack on the tomb of Mohammed in Saudi Arabia -- Islam's second holiest site -- shows the terror group is now directly challenging the kingdom's ruling family and trying to topple the monarchy.

"The Saudi king's tiles include 'Protector of the two Holy Cities," said one senior U.S. counterterrorism official. "The message of the attack is that that protection doesn't exist."

The kingdom's two holy cities, Mecca and Medina, are home Islam's two holiest sites, the Qabba in Mecca, which millions of pilgrims visit every year, and the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina, which holds Mohammed's tomb.

Said the counterterrorism official, "If [the royal family] can't protect those places -- and people traveling to those cities from across Islam - it calls in to question the fitness of their ruling power and its legitimacy."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, I would want to have an immediate chat with US Ambassador Westphal as to what the hell American trained and supported ISIS was doing in Saudi Arabia.

Atlanta mayor rejects demand to end Israel police training

“There was a demand that I stop allowing the Atlanta Police Department to train with the Israeli police department,” Mayor Reed acknowledged at a press conference (video above). “I’m not going to do that,” he told reporters.

“I happen to believe that the Israeli police department has some of the best counterterrorism techniques in the world,” Reed insisted. “And it benefits our police department from that longstanding relationship.”

It was an interesting choice of words considering that Israeli, Palestinian and international human rights organizations, as well as the UN, have repeatedly condemned Israeli forces, including the police, for a range of human rights violations, particularly for their frequent extrajudicial executions of Palestinians.

It was also recently revealed that Israeli police are authorized to use lethal force as a first resort against Palestinians they suspect might throw rocks, including minors.

WSJ Reporter's "Shocking" Discovery: DHS Can Confiscate Any Device Along The Border Without Suspicion

"They grilled me for an hour," she wrote. "I answered jovially, because I've had enough high-level security experiences to know that being annoyed or hostile will work against you." Abi-Habib said that the agents then asked for her cellphones in order to "collect information."

"That is where I drew the line," Abi-Habib wrote. "I told her I had First Amendment rights as a journalist she couldn't violate and I was protected under."

According to Abi-Habib, the agent then presented a DHS document which explained that the government has the right to confiscate phones within 100 miles from U.S. borders: the document "basically says the US government has the right to seize my phones and my rights as a US citizen (or citizen of the world) go out the window."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Supreme Court ruled in Marbury vs Madison that laws repugnant to the Constitution are automatically null and void. This claim that the Constitution does not apply within 100 miles of a national border (which here in Hawaii means the entire state) is itself null and void.

Turkish Parliament Grants Erdogan Sweeping New Powers for State of Emergency

In a 346-115 vote, the Turkish parliament has approved a three month state of emergency across Turkey, the first time such a state will be applied over the entire nation. The vote grants sweeping new powers to President Erdogan, who had already centralized an unprecedented level of power before the failed coup.

The new powers aim to facilitate the expansion of the ongoing purge against broad swathes of Turkish society, allowing longer detention for suspects without charges, and for Erdogan to effectively rule by decree on several issues, without parliament approval.

Beyond that, the state of emergency allows the government to effectively ignore human rights law entirely, with the constitution only limiting them to the extent that there are limits in place from international treaties. Turkey’s withdrawal from the European Commission on Human Rights today suggests that they are planning to pare down such limits.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a foreign national doing business in Turkey, I would cut my losses, and get the heck out of Dodge immediately, if not sooner.

This will not end well.

Ohio Legislature moves towards mandatory vaccines, proposing to eliminate philosophical exemptions entirely

A growing number of parents across the nation are now going against the recommendations of the CDC vaccine schedule – which currently promotes the injecting of 49 doses of various vaccines before a child turns 6 years old. The number of parents opting out of the onslaught of childhood vaccinations has doubled since 2009. As vaccine use plummets, state legislatures are trying to find new ways to bully parents into the vaccination cycle.

A new bill in Ohio (HB 564) seeks to intimidate parents into vaccine compliance by forcing them to be re-educated about the benefits of vaccines. Ohio parents will no longer be allowed to send their children to public schools unless they see a state-licensed medical doctor first to receive such re-education. If the parent objects to a vaccine, and determines it's not worth the risk to their child, they will no longer get to make that choice freely.

Top Clinton Lobbyist Bundlers Tied to Foreign Banks, Governments

A number of Hillary Clinton’s top lobbyist bundlers, who have raised millions for her presidential campaign, either directly represent foreign entities or work at firms that represent foreign entities, according to documents from the Justice Department’s Foreign Agents Registration Unit.

Hillary for America, Clinton’s campaign committee, has hauled in more than $7 million in bundled lobbyist contributions since its inception. The committee finished 2015 with $4.1 million in bundled lobbyist contributions. It has since added more than $2.9 million to its coffers from lobbyists, with $1.2 million of that amount pouring in during the second quarter of 2016, from April 1 to June 30.

Tony Podesta, owner of the Podesta Group and brother of John Podesta, the chairman of Clinton’s campaign, is a top bundler for Hillary for America. Podesta has bundled $267,835 in contributions to date. Podesta was hired to work on behalf of Saudi interests.

Miami cop shot caregiver while trying to protect him from autistic man with toy truck: police union

North Miami police offered a weird excuse for the officer who shot and wounded a black, unarmed hospital caregiver tending to an autistic man.

The head of the Florida city’s police union said the officer, whose name still has not been released, actually meant to shoot the autistic man playing in the street with a toy truck, reported the Miami Herald.

John Rivera, head of Miami-Dade’s Police Benevolent Association, said the officer was actually trying to protect the caregiver, Charles Kinsey, from his autistic patient by firing three shots from a military-style rifle.

But he apparently missed and shot Kinsey instead.

Video showing most of the encounter has been released, and the shooting has gained international attention.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The intensity of police brutality borders on insane right now in this country.

Instead of being trained to calm down, or walk back from, an allegedly volatile situation, it appears that US police believe they can shoot to kill, and get away with it with absolutely impunity.

Government agencies like DHS and the DEA use Bluetooth detectors to gather Bluetooth data from a Wireless Sensor Network.
Wireless technology that allows electronic devices to communicate directly with one another
Recently emerged as viable travel time collection technology
Open standard, allows for off-the-shelf equipment
Detection range limited to about 328 feet (100 meters)
Less expensive than many other options
Flexible installation
Some potential privacy concerns
Detection technology relies on drivers' use of Bluetooth-enabled devices

The Michigan State Police is working on plans to establish a pilot program for roadside drug testing, a spokeswoman said.

A new law instructs the state police to pick five counties where it will run a one-year pilot program for saliva-based testing to check drivers for drugs like marijuana, heroin and cocaine.

“We expect the counties to be finalized this summer with a pilot to begin sometime later in the year,” MSP spokeswoman Shanon Banner said.

The five counties will be determined based on criteria including: the number of impaired driving crashes;the number of impaired drivers arrested; and the number of Drug Recognition Experts (DREs) trained in the county, she said.

Attorney Neil Rockind, founder of Southfield-based criminal defense law firm Rockind Law, opposed the legislation he said would set a “dangerous precedent” for Michigan.

FLASHBACK - John K. Vance; Uncovered LSD Project at CIA

Code-named MKULTRA (and pronounced m-k-ultra), the project Mr. Vance uncovered was the brainchild of CIA Director Allen Dulles, who was intrigued by reports of mind-control techniques allegedly conducted by Soviet, Chinese and North Korean agents on U.S. prisoners of war during the Korean War. The CIA wanted to use similar techniques on its own POWs and perhaps use LSD or other mind-bending substances on foreign leaders, including Cuba's Fidel Castro a few years after the project got underway in 1953.

Heading MKULTRA was a CIA chemist named Sidney Gottlieb. In congressional testimony, Gottlieb, who died in 1999, acknowledged that the agency had administered LSD to as many as 40 unwitting subjects, including prison inmates and patrons of brothels set up and run by the agency. At least one participant died when he jumped out of a 10th-floor window in a hotel; others claimed to have suffered serious psychological damage.

“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.” ~ Dr. Richard Horton, Editor of The Lancet (world’s top medical journal for published research)

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of the New England Journal of Medicine.” ~ Dr. Marcia Angell, Editor in Chief, New England Journal of Medicine

Gun Violence, Yeah, Uh-Huh, Right

If there are to be more “background checks”, they need to happen with United States government weapons transactions and covert operations. “They can’t be covert if everyone knows!” Exactly! So we need background checks not on us, but on this cabal of lunatics we call the government. They’re the ones doling out weapons to people that then created a civil war that spilled into our own streets twice now. Oh, those were Americans and not Syrians? Excuse me, but the government was throwing muskets into the hands of Irish immigrants right off the boat in our own Civil War. And they didn’t even know what the war was about half the time! So don’t give me this crap that those two attacks were not the Syrian Civil War spilling over into the lap of the government that helped provoke it.

What if the Fix Was In? : Andrew P. Napolitano on crooked Hillary, crooked government

What if Hillary Clinton has engaged in espionage and public corruption and FBI agents know that she has? What if they have evidence to prove it but they could not present anything to a grand jury because President Obama wants Clinton, and not Donald Trump, to succeed him in office? What if this blatant political interference with a criminal investigation is itself a crime? What if, midstream in this criminal investigation, the fix was put in?What do we do about it?

Hillary’s Campaign Is In Big Trouble

Democratic primary voters, who chose Hillary Clinton because they believed she was the most electable Democrat against Donald Trump, may be in for a rude awakening. They may have picked the least electable Democrat>>>
Very simply, the Clinton campaign is in big trouble. And Hillary seems on the verge of compounding the problem by choosing a boring, corporate centrist running mate>>>
I really don’t want to be writing a “woulda, coulda, shoulda” column about why Bernie Sanders would have been more electable. At this stage I’d rather be making the argument that, for all her political and character flaws, Hillary is still preferable to Donald Trump and that progressives should be doing everything possible to prevent Trump’s election, which means critically supporting Hillary. But there’s no avoiding the painful truth that Hillary is in danger of losing.

US & Clinton Beyond the Law-Catherine Austin Fitts

Financial expert and former Assistant Secretary of Housing, Catherine Austin Fitts, says the U.S. government’s actions with Hillary Clinton means it is more lawless than ever. Fitts explains, “The entire country now looks like Arkansas . . . we’ve all turned into Mena, Arkansas, now. It’s pretty tragic. I have watched for two decades while 80% of the federal budget and federal credit has been run outside the Constitution and the laws related to financial management. I have never seen anything as blatant and outrageous as Loretta Lynch, prior to Hillary Clinton’s interview with the FBI, meeting with her disbarred husband, who is either the husband of or the target of a criminal investigation, and basically briefing him, I am assuming and what I believe on what Hillary needs to know, so she can skate the (FBI) interview. What the President, Lynch and Comey don’t want is the investigative team recommending to indict. . . .

DHS Whistleblower Says War On Terror Is A Charade – Real Targets Are American Patriots

Julia Davis, a former Customs and Border Protections Officer, was falsely declared a domestic terrorist and subjected to retaliatory efforts against her by the Department of Homeland Security. Her home was raided by a 27 man “special response team.” She was twice falsely arrested and imprisoned, but later exonerated. She is now a national security expert and has put out a historical documentary titled Top Priority: The Terror Within. She claims that the War On Terror by the Department of Homeland Security is a charade and that the agency seems to be targeting concerned American patriots.

Maura Healey steps up ban on military-looking rifles

Attorney General Maura Healey stepped up the ban on military-looking rifles yesterday, prompting licensed gun enthusiasts to flood gun shops on what they believed might be the last day to buy AR-style guns here.

Healey issued a notice to all gun sellers and manufacturers in Massachusetts banning guns which appear like the Colt AR-15 and the Kalishnikov AK-47, but have been altered by manufacturers to conform to Massachusetts’ ban on adjustable stocks, high-capacity magazines and other features. An estimated 10,000 so-called “copycat” assault weapons were sold in Massachusetts last year alone, Healey’s office said.

Times Square Tourists Left Bleeding in Fight Over Tip to Topless Performer
The tourists from Chile told NBC 4 New York they had posed with the topless performer in the newly designated activity zone at Times Square -- the only place where performers and costumed characters are allowed to ask for money.

The woman and her managers apparently were unhappy with the dollar tip from Francisco Vistoso and his brother-in-law.

"They came to us saying it was too little," Vistoso told NBC 4 in Spanish. "They started insulting [my brother-in-law] and then the woman came and attacked me."

Vistoso was left bleeding after the attack.

Caregiver shot by police after toy truck mistaken for gun

A man is recovering in the hospital after police may have mistaken a toy for a gun, causing a big misunderstanding.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the reported shooting, located right by a group home near Northeast 14th Avenue and 127th Street, Monday, at around 5:30 p.m.

Witnesses and the man who was shot, Charles Kinsey, said that officials made a big mistake in this case. Kinsey’s attorney, Hilton Napoleon said that his client works with the disabled for a living and was assisting an autistic man who had a toy truck in his hand. North Miami Police may have believed the toy was a weapon, and that’s when police fired shots, hitting the caregiver in the leg.

Cop Enters Wrong Home, Murders Family Dog in Front of Children at 5-year-old’s Birthday

Gruesome. Infuriating. Tragic. Incompetent. Cowardly. Murderous. These are a few of the words that come to mind in regards to the recent puppycide by an Oklahoma cop.
“There’s something wrong with Opie,” said Vickie Malone’s 5-year-old son Eli, during his birthday party — after a Wynnewood police officer just shot their beloved family dog.

According to Vickie Malone, she’d just taken the party inside to serve cake and ice cream when they heard a gunshot.

As parents and kids ran outside to see what was going on, the cop fired two more rounds into Opie with his AR-15 as horrified partygoers watched in disbelief.

“He [Opie] was over here kicking and gasping for air,” Vickie said.
The incompetent cop was serving a 10-year-old warrant on a man who did not live there.

L.A. Times Suggests Military Coup Against President Trump

Jamie Kirchick, writing in the Los Angeles Times, asks readers to imagine a military coup against a future President Donald Trump — and argues why one would be necessary.

Kirchick cites the example of the recent failed coup in Turkey as a source of inspiration:

Americans viewing the recent failed coup attempt in Turkey as some exotic foreign news story — the latest, violent yet hardly unusual political development to occur in a region constantly beset by turmoil — should pause to consider that the prospect of similar instability would not be unfathomable in this country if Donald Trump were to win the presidency.

Kirchick goes on to argue that Trump is a nascent authoritarian, whose illegal military orders — such as torturing terrorists — the military would be required to ignore, and then resist by force.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported at globalresearch.ca:

As a 2008 presidential aspirant, she addressed AIPAC’s annual convention saying: The United States stands with Israel now and forever. We have shared interests….shared ideals….common values. I have a bedrock commitment to Israel’s security. (O)ur two nations are fighting a shared threat” against Islamic extremism. I strongly support Israel’s right to self-defense (and) believe America should aid in that defense. I am committed to making sure that Israel maintains a military edge to meet increasing threats. I am deeply concerned about the growing threat in Gaza (and) Hamas’ campaign of terror. No such campaign exists. The only threats Israel faces are ones it invents. Clinton repeated tired old lies saying Hamas’ charter “calls for the destruction of Israel. Iran threatens to destroy Israel.” “I support calling the Iranian Revolutionary Guard what it is: a terrorist organization. It is imperative that we get both tough and smart about dealing with Iran before it is too late.” She backs “massive retaliation” if Iran attacks Israel, saying at the time: “I want the Iranians to know that if I’m president, we will attack Iran. In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.” She endorses using cluster bombs, toxic agents and nuclear weapons in US war theaters. She calls them deterrents that “keep the peace.” She was one of only six Democrat senators opposed to blocking deployment of untested missile defense systems – first-strike weapons entirely for offense.

So, there you have it, on the record: Hillary Clinton is prepared to go to war with Iran (and most probably Russia, whose military and civilian leadership have all vowed to protect it militarily.)

Wall Street Angry that Donald Trump Says “Restore Glass-Steagall Act”

What produced the 2008 crash was the Clinton-Republican Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, named after the three conservative Republicans (Phil Gramm, Jim Leach, and Tom Bliley) who wrote it. Sanford Weill, then merely the head of Travelers Insurance, was a financial empire-builder who wanted his firm to buy Citibank, so as to produce the first financial conglomerate, Citigroup — a merger which the Glass-Steagall Act would have blocked from happening. Weill’s Clinton-Administration friends Robert J. Rubin and Lawrence Summers had no trouble convincing their boss to say yes to Gramm-Leach-Bliley, though this would toss out the core of Democrat FDR’s lasting heritage and restore the cause of the Great Depression: Wall Street’s gambling with depositors’ savings — gambling with assets that are so crucial the government would be politically compelled to backstop to prevent bankrupting tens of millions of people, savers who had made no error.

Judge Makes Stunning Ruling In Bundy Case

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that without the benefit of a public hearing, U.S. Federal Judge Peggy Leen has issued an order ruling that no transcripts, reports or witness statements of any kind may be disclosed by defense teams for all 19 defendants in the 2014 armed standoff between Cliven Bundy’s camp and the FBI.

Leen made her decision Friday, citing potential death threats against prosecutors as justification.

Leen continued saying that a “common law or First Amendment right” for the press and the public to access the government’s pretrial evidence does not exist, though all information obtained through “open sources” such as the internet or social media would be accessible.

Ammon Bundy’s attorney, Dan Hill, was not pleased with the judge’s decision.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, in Judge Leen's courtroom, the First Amendment to the Constitution does not exist, with regard to the government's pre-trial evidence.

I have to ask: why?!?

Liberal GQ Magazine Writer on Mother of Benghazi Victim: ‘I would like to beat her to death’

Liberals lost their minds when Pat Smith spoke at the GOP convention last night. They can’t stand hearing someone who lost her son (and was lied to by Hillary Clinton about why it happened) telling the truth.

A liberal writer for GQ Magazine named Bethlehem Shoals even said on Twitter that he wanted to beat her to death.

Webmaster's Commentary:

An apology followed, but it had all the fake sincerity of something said by a really bad snake oil salesman.

Should Hillary get elected, one of her first acts as President will be to establish her very own "Ministry of Truth", which will ruthlessly persecute anyone with even a slightly different narrative than her own.

She will order "belief and allegiance" to anything she says, no matter how much of a lie it may be, and declare any other response "treason", to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

And I am certain that Bethlehem Shoals will be on her "short list" as the Department Director for that, having tweeted that he wanted to beat Pat Smith to death (for telling the truth).

Bernie Sanders earned more pledged delegates than Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries and now a long awaited lawsuit has finally been filed in Ohio alleging that systematic and coordinated election fraud stole the presidential nomination from Sanders.

Filed by the Institute for American Democracy and Election Integrity, the lawsuit presents evidence of statistically impossible differences between exit polls and electronic vote totals.

The raw data has probably been expunged, or hidden in such a way as to be irrecoverable by Clinton's people.

Gallup Economic Confidence Index plunges while stock market near record: Stock Market decoupled from financial well being of average Americans.

Gallup releases an Economic Confidence Index which should reflect the overall sentiment of Americans as it pertains to the economy. With the stock market near record highs and the housing bubble market soaring, you would expect average Americans to be smiling from ear to ear with glee. But when you click on over to Gallup, the chart looks downright gloomy like finding out you just failed a midterm exam you studied so hard for. While Gallup may be stumped and scratching their head as to why this divergence is there, I feel we have touched upon a few points as to why this is occurring. First, half of Americans don’t even own one stock. Next, you have many U.S. companies making large profits abroad. Good for the company but that doesn’t translate necessarily into a better financial position for most Americans. Housing values being inflated only keeps Americans from buying as reflected in a generationally low homeownership rate.

This 11-part series addresses an overarching fact about public education: its design of intentional curricular lies of omission and commission to keep our children and the general public powerless, relatively stupid, and controlled work animals.

Importantly, I do not blame education professionals working in good-faith effort to produce high-quality learning from our children; public education exists in a matrix of control for ongoing empires that I’ll explain in detail within the series’ sections. That said, anyone truly educated in one’s field gradually discovers that public education is a ridiculous substitute for what’s most important to teach and learn. This is Emperor’s New Clothes obvious when pointed to, with this paper’s content including factual assertions that no counterarguments exist outside of shallow and misleading bullshit.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Common Core does a brilliant job of making kids think they are being educated, when they are really being indoctrinated to believe particular narratives which are useful to them being completely controlled by a government that cares absolutely not about their futures.

As long as this festers in our classrooms, Americans will never again be competitive against those countries with the best educational outcomes.

As reported at fairreporters.net last year, in their assessment of the best educational systems in the world, here are countries rated from best to worst educational systems, in terms of math and science:

Southeast Oklahoma City residents Charles and Julie Henry face a blatantly unconstitutional invasion of their rights thanks to a stifling change to a city ordinance making vandalism to their property essentially a crime — by them.

Though the Henrys complied with the code, albeit a bit late due to a prohibitive financial situation, an opportunistic code enforcer triggered a chain of events no law-abiding property owner should ever be subjected to — including the possibility their property may be raided by Oklahoma County Sheriffs under a blanket warrant in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment.

According to a GoFundMe page set up to assist the family’s legal battle against the City, their low-income neighborhood typically experiences an outbreak of vandalism each spring — which the city promptly cleans up to discourage other vandals from copying.

And in May 2015, they were back, this time outside New York’s Cipriani, where Bill Clinton received an award and collected a $500,000 check for his foundation. “Clinton, where’s the money?” the Haitian signs read. “In whose pockets?” Said Dhoud Andre of the Commission Against Dictatorship, “We are telling the world of the crimes that Bill and Hillary Clinton are responsible for in Haiti.”

Operation Gladio : The Nice atrocity brings it to mind, says Paul Craig Roberts

It looks like a permanent state of martial law in France will be one consequence. This shutdown of society will also dispose of the protests against capitalist puppet Hollande’s repeal of France’s labor protections. Those protesting the take-back of their hard-earned rights will be closed down under the martial law. Amazing how convenient the attack was for global capitalism, the primary beneficiary of Hollande’s new “labor reform.”

The U.S. "regime change" operation in Syria recently tallied up some major successes. The Syrian Democratic Force, a U.S. sponsored group of mostly Syrian Kurds, is besieging the Islamic State held eastern city of Manbij. According to the UN's Human Rights commissioner 70,000 civilians in Manbij are cut off from all supplies. We have yet to hear calls for an immediate breaking of the siege or for enforced air drops of supplies to these people. Where are all the R2P fans in the Obama administration and all the well paid Syrian opposition propaganda groups on this? That the U.S. has managed to avoid any questions about this siege is surely a success.

The world is taking its revenge against elites. When will America's wake up?

The world of accepted ideas was coming apart, and no one caught the new mood better than the New York Times’s David Brooks, a man who has spent his career describing the inner lives of the nation’s prosperous white-collar elite. Ordinarily a dealer in witty aphorisms and upper-crust humor, Brooks now wrote a column entitled “Are We On the Path to National Ruin?” in which he speculated darkly about the possibility of fascism in America. “The crack of some abyss opened up for a moment by the end of last week,” he wrote. “It’s very easy to see this country on a nightmare trajectory.”

'It's Working:' New Analysis Shows Insurers Losing Tens of Millions Annually on Obamacare

Via John Sexton, here's a Politico report on the 'Affordable' Care Act's unstable, unsustainable status quo:

For the insurance companies doing business in the state–the ones issuing policies to those 600,000 people–Obamacare has turned into a financial sinkhole. United Health Group, the nation’s largest insurance company, is pulling out of the Obamacare business in North Carolina next year. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, which dominated the individual market with more than a half-million customers, reported that losses on its Obamacare business in 2014 and 2015 topped $400 million. The insurer said that figure includes government payments designed to shield insurers from big losses during the early years of Obamacare. The only other current competitor, Aetna, wants to hike rates by nearly 25 percent next year...

Webmaster's Commentary:

Stating that something "is working" by fiat, and not paying attention to the real numbers here, including the number of people who can no longer get health insurance, is creating a huge "lost their reality license moment", for both Clinton and Obama.

Should Police Use Bombs To Kill Criminals?

In the wake of the two seemingly outrageous slayings of African American men by police in Minnesota and Louisiana and the equally heinous retaliatory killings of five police officers in Dallas by a black former Army Reservist, questions have been raised in all three cases about excessive police behavior.

Police surrogates on the cable TV networks were sent into a state of apoplexy that some security analysts, while the Dallas police department was still grieving, raised eyebrows about the use of an exploding bomb, delivered by a robot, to kill the Dallas shooter. Whether intentional or not, this argument was an attempt to use the legitimate grief of the police families to shield the department from a debate about the aggressive military tactics used to kill the shooter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although my heart goes out to those slain officers, their families, and their friends, I did have a moment of pause about how their killer was executed; by an armed robot, for the first time in police history.

Yes, the crime committed by Johnson was heinous and horrific; but I am very concerned about this technology becoming "legitimized" for police work in the future in this country.

How soon will such technology be used against peaceful protesters, who have a reasonable gripe about what their government is doing in America?!?

Unfortunately, the way "due process" seems to have been ripped out of the American judicial process, my bet would be...soon.

Bahrain Says US, UK Criticism ‘Unacceptable Interference’

The Bahraini government has issued a statement angrily condemning the US and Britain for their “unacceptable interference” in internal policy, after the two nations criticized the government’s ban on the largest opposition group in the nation.

The tiny nation of Bahrain has struggled with its treatment of their opposition since the Arab Spring. The royal family and by extension the government are Sunnis, but a majority of the population are Shi’ites. This has sparked repeated protests, with the Shi’ites claiming they are discriminated against in top positions around the country.

The banning of al-Wefaq, a Shi’ite group, continues that, with the US State Department calling the group a “nonviolent opposition,” and warning that banning them was undermining regional stability in the Persian Gulf.

A joint statement was issued today by several top Shi’ite clerics, saying they believe that the ban of Wefaq is part of a larger attack on their existence and identity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is one thing that the US State Department, miraculously, has gotten right, in its analysis of the situation in Bahrain.

So far, protests against the government's policies against the Shiites have been remarkably restrained; but there may be a point of boiling-over anger, on the part of the Shiite community, which cannot be restrained by police or military action, even with importing Saudi Arabian troops.

We could even, potentially, be looking at a revolution here, and the complete abolishment, or exile, of the Al-Khalifa monarchy.

And I would like to strongly caution the Al-Khalifa monarchy and the Bahraini government that hubris...can have some very terrible unintended consequences.

An Illegal Military Strategy Disguised As Technological Advance

Think of it as the Trojan Drone, the ultimate techno-weapon of American warfare in these years, a single remotely operated plane sent to take out a single key figure. It’s a shiny video game for grown ups — a Mortal Kombat or Call of Duty where the animated enemies bleed real blood. Just like the giant wooden horse the Greeks convinced the Trojans to bring inside their gates, however, the drone carries something deadly in its belly: a new and illegal military strategy disguised as an impressive piece of technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, it is only a question of time regarding how long it will be that we see this technology being used here in the US, unless there is a massive, peaceful move on the part of all Americans to prevent it.

And please, don't think, "Wow, that can't happen here!"; because the precedent has already been set for extrajudicial assassinations right here at home, and in a circumstance many Americans might have applauded.

Micah Johnson, who shot and killed police in Dallas last week, was taken down with a robot, armed with a bomb.

This is the first time in police history in this country that this has happened; but I can nearly guarantee you, it will not be the last.

A video uploaded to Facebook this week shows multiple Hyattsville police officers involved in a violent arrest of what appears to be middle school children.

While it is unclear what started the altercation, the video does not lie.

As the video begins, an officer appears to be arresting a young white school child. The child seems compliant. However, the officer is seen dangerously twisting his arm.

When the adolescent bystanders see this unnecessary violence, they begin to voice their concern.

One young person becomes particularly concerned with the way the officer is treating the other child, so he quickly becomes the most outspoken. This outspokenness apparently enrages the responding officers.

As the officer, who appears to be a sergeant, walks up to the scene, he shoves the Hispanic student who was standing up for the white student. This assault seems to be entirely unprovoked.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To parents in Maryland: take your kids out of public school NOW. Home school them; they will be far richer, academically, for it.

And to those people who can move out of this city, do it now; take the financial base away from here, because if police are allowed to treat kids like this, it doesn't deserve your tax dollars.

Explain to Mayor Hollingsworth , politely, why you are doing this. And make sure you include a link to this video.

When more than 300 protesters assembled in May at the Holiday Inn in Lakewood, Colorado — the venue chosen by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for an auction of oil and gas leases on public lands — several of the demonstrators were in fact undercover agents sent by law enforcement to keep tabs on the demonstration, according to emails obtained by The Intercept.

The “Keep it in the Ground” movement, a broad effort to block the development of drilling projects, has rapidly gained traction over the last year, raising pressure on the Obama administration to curtail hydraulic fracturing, known as fracking, and coal mining on federal public lands. In response, government agencies and industry groups have sharply criticized the activists in public, while quietly moving to track their activities.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I firmly believe that all hydraulic fracking should be done within two feet of the homes oil executives should be mandated to live in, so that they, and their families. would experience all the symptoms and consequences of fracking, firsthand.

Of course, that will happen only when pigs fly.

But this surveillance demonstrates, incontrovertibly, that Obama is no less beholden to his corporate masters than are his Republican colleagues.

Over the weekend, after the initial reports of the purge unleashed by Erdogan against Turkey's public, we previewed the upcoming, far more dangerous counter-coup as follows: "it was the next step that is the critical one: the one where Erdogan - having cracked down on his immediate military and legal opponents - took his crusade against everyone else, including the press and the educational system."

But while Turkey's press is already mostly under Erdogan's control, it is the educational witch hunt fallout that is far more troubling, and just as expected over the past hour we have gotten a glimpse of just how extensive the Turkish's president cleansing of secular society will be, when the state-run Anadolu news agency reported that Turkey's ministry of education has sacked 15,200 personnel for alleged involvement with a group the government claims is responsible for Friday's failed coup.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When you control what and how people think, you control those people; ask any of the developers of "Common Core", which was created to dumb down American students into a state of zero critical thinking whatsoever!!

In some ways, the Chilcot Inquiry was a success for the anti-war crowd, as it confirmed everything we already knew about the war in Iraq. In other ways, it was a complete disappointment because it failed to dig into the fundamental problems underlying the U.S. and U.K.’s pursuit of this horrific, illegal war.

As the U.S. presence in Iraq continues to increase thirteen years after the initial U.S.-U.K. led invasion, it is time to ask at least one hard question the Chilcot Inquiry failed to ask.

How many civilians in Iraq have lost their lives because of the 2003 invasion?

Unfortunately, this is something the Chilcot Inquiry refused to investigate. Section 17 of the Chilcot Inquiry Report stated:

It is beyond the scope and abilities of this Inquiry to establish independently the number of fatalities caused by conflict in Iraq, or the broader human cost of the conflict to the Iraqi people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are four disgustingly foul sociopaths who should be cooling their collective heels at the ICC, for crimes against humanity, regarding this war to insure that Western companies dominated the flow of oil from Iraq, and the selling of Iraq's oil only in US dollars.

Their surnames are Blair, Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney.

But of course, money buys much in the Western world, and that includes protection and privilege, and - in essence - never having to say one is sorry for the horrific crimes one has committed.

But there may be an interesting, ironic turnabout coming in Iraq. As reported yesterday at Reuters:

Powerful Shi'ite Muslim cleric Moqtada al-Sadr instructed his followers on Sunday to target U.S. troops deploying to Iraq as part of the military campaign against Islamic State. U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said on Monday the Pentagon would dispatch 560 additional troops to help Iraqi forces retake the northern city of Mosul in an offensive planned for later this year. Sadr, who rose to prominence when his Mahdi Army battled U.S. troops after the 2003 invasion, posted the comments on his official website after a follower asked for his response to the announcement. "They are a target for us," Sadr said, without offering details.

The US-installed pupped government of Al-Abadi has been an abject, corrupt, and utter epic fail, in terms of not at all meeting the urgent needs of the Iraqi people.

So what happens if Al-Sadr galvanizes the Iraqi people with a popular revolution which drives out the current government, the American troops, and the ISIL jihadists?!?

Should that happen, I would almost be willing to bet that Iraqi oil will no longer be controlled by Western interests, or only sold for the US dollar. It may well, at that point, be sold for the Russian Ruble, the Iranian Rial, the Euro, or the Yuan; in fact, anything BUT the dollar.

There is a Biblical injunction about reaping what one has sown; in Iraq, the US and UK have sown death and destruction for money, and that is very possibly about to come crashing down on their heads, financially, should there be a national revolution in Iraq.

Judge orders key Bundy evidence in Bunkerville case withheld from the public

Choosing secrecy over transparency, a federal judge has issued a protective order withholding the bulk of the government’s evidence from the public in the Bunkerville standoff case.

The four-page order, written by U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen, prohibits defense teams for all 19 defendants from publicly disclosing grand jury transcripts, FBI and police reports, witness statements and other documents the government collected during its investigation into the 2014 armed standoff between Bundy family forces and law enforcement.

Leen issued the order without a public hearing and in the face of opposition from most of the defendants, including Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy and his four sons, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other media.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Former Clinton Associate Exposes Fake News Agenda

“As a journalist, to say these words, I can’t tell you with what a heavy heart I say them, but we’ve entered an era in which it is not crazy to assess news events to see if they’re real or not real, in the United States, as well as overseas, and if fact, it’s kind of crazy not to.”

Thelastamericanvagabond.com reports:

The resounding applause that followed that extremely impactful statement serves to demonstrate quite clearly how many Americans are becoming acutely aware of their own government’s manipulation of their lives. There is a reflexive vilification of anyone speculating about the idea of a false flag in today’s society, regardless of its historical precedent, because they become a “Conspiracy Theorist” and are cast as “the crazy few.” Yet it is becoming increasingly apparent that those who are at least questioning the mainstream narrative, are in fact the many.

Turkish Prosecutors Raid Incirlik Airbase Housing US Warplanes And 50 Nuclear Bombs

The saga surrounding the Turkish Incirlik air base, which is not only the headquarters to the US 39th Air Base Wing but also vaults over 50 B61 nuclear bombs, and is critical to all US missions not only against ISIS but the entire middle east continues. Moments ago, Turkey's state-run news agency says seven prosecutors, charged with investigating a foiled coup, have entered the Incirlik Air Base.

Kashmir: Why are young people protesting?

Indian-administered Kashmir is witnessing some of its most violent protests.

More than 30 people have been killed and hundreds more injured in clashes with security forces in the past week following the killing of popular rebel leader Burhan Wani, 22.

After Wani's death, young people, who constitute the largest chunk of Kashmir's population, have taken to throwing stones in protest on the streets and using social media to tell their stories.

Demonstrations continue despite heavy a security presence and a shutdown of mobile Internet and phone services.

Al Jazeera went to the streets of Srinagar, the capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, to meet some of those involved.

We are forced to hurl stones at them. They incite us. I will continue to throw stones at them until they stop inflicting such atrocities on us.

Israel seeks to 'publicly shame' human rights groups

The Israeli government stands accused of waging a campaign of incitement against human rights groups as it tries to hamper efforts by the international community to monitor abuses of Palestinians under occupation.

A so-called Transparency Law, passed by the Israeli parliament last week, compels some two dozen Israeli rights organisations to declare publicly that they receive a majority of their funding from foreign governments.

Israel's Great Divide - Al Jazeera World
In future, they will have to divulge such funding - mostly from individual European states or the European Union - every time they appear in the media, issue publicity material, make statements online, and deal with official bodies. Failure to do so will incur a substantial fine.

The legislation's aim, peace activists argue, is to vilify these groups with the Israeli public, suggesting they are "foreign agents" and "traitors" seeking to subvert Israel's security and its national interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

People who tell the truth are not "an enemy of the Israeli people; people who desire to SUPPRESS the truth are the true enemies of the Israeli people!

How Extrajudicial Executions Became ‘War’ Policy in Washington

In the years in which the U.S. has up-armored globally, the country has also seen an arms race developing on the domestic front. As vets have returned from their Iraq and Afghan tours of duty, striking numbers of them have gone into police work at a time when American weaponry, vehicles, and military equipment – including, for instance, MRAPs (mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles) – have poured off America’s distant battlefields and, via the Pentagon, into police departments nationwide. And while the police were militarizing, gun companies have been marketing battlefield-style assault rifles to Americans by the millions, at the very moment when it has become ever more possible for citizens to carry weapons of every sort in a concealed or open fashion in public.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is most unfortunate, but here is the reality; in the 21st century, both at home and abroad, the United States of America has become the "Assassination Nation".

I have been very concerned that the extrajudicial assassinations, which have been on the forefront of standard US military tactics abroad, would finally come home to roost; and now, they have, in a circumstance that many Americans applauded, in the case of Micah Johnson. He was the "perfect candidate" for the use of such a weapon, to make it acceptable for use against Americans, with utterly no due pocess.

But we are on a very slippery slope here, folks; how long do you imagine it will take for people, simply protesting peacefully, in this country, to get "droned" out of existence, with a double tap, extrajudicial execution?!?

The short answer here is, not very.

A new report [PDF] from the House Financial Services Committee, which explores the Justice Department’s conduct in relation to the megabank HSBC, proves once-and-for-all what many had long suspected: former Attorney General and perpetual Wall Street lawyer Eric Holder was always committed to a “Too Big To Jail” policy for the large Wall Street banks. Holder had articulated much of his thinking on Too Big To Jail at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, when he said, “I am concerned that the size of some of these institutions becomes so large that it does become difficult to prosecute them … When we are hit with indications that if you do prosecute, if you do bring a criminal charge it will have a negative impact on the national economy, perhaps world economy, that is a function of the fact that some of these institutions have become too large. It has an inhibiting impact on our ability to bring resolutions that I think would be more appropriate.”

‘Yes’ to death penalty will mean ‘No’ to EU membership, EU warns Turkey

Reinstating the death penalty in Turkey would end EU accession talks, a German government spokesman has stated. Meanwhile, EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini also warned that no country can become an EU member that has capital punishment.

“Introduction of death penalty would mean immediate suspension of accession talks,” German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Monday.

“No country can become an EU member state if it introduces the death penalty,” she said. “Turkey is an important part of the Council of Europe and is bound by the European Convention on Human Rights, which is very clear on the death penalty.”

Asked about the recent string of police shootings, the President Of The Los Angeles Police Protective League spoke out on a local TV news broadcast. Alleged coup leader was once military attaché to Israel

Turkish media on Saturday named former Turkish Air Force chief Ak?n Ozturk as one of the main instigators of the country’s attempted coup on Friday. Ozturk, who led he air force between 2013 and 2015 before retiring from the army last year, was also the nation’s military attaché to Israel in the 1990s; he served in the Jewish state between 1996-1998.
