Don’t Fall For It : Poll shows Nearly half support US military action against North Korea

Nearly half of the Americans believe the tough rhetoric between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un of North Korea is more than just a war of words, a new poll shows. Close to 50 percent of the 1,500 people polled in the latest Economist/YouGov survey believed Trump “actually means to attack North Korea” while 45 percent believe Kim intends to do the same to the United States.

The Real Constitution

The real U.S. Constitution, which was scrapped long ago, does not permit judges to be its final interpreters, executive orders, coercion of the people of a State by the federal government, delegation of control of the currency to a private banking cartel, the subsidy of private corporations, or calling the militia to active service except in case of invasion or rebellion and at the request of the State.

Netanyahu convenes security cabinet to discuss Iran missile threat

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday called a special meeting of his security cabinet following Iran’s testing of a ballistic missile that can reach Israel over the weekend.

The missile test, along with efforts to get world powers to cancel or fix the Iran nuclear deal, were the top priorities at the meeting, Israel Radio reported.

Netanyahu also planned to brief the body on his meetings last week in New York during which he held discussions with US President Donald Trump and separately with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that Iran gave Netanyahu a gift with this missile test; now, he has something else to talk about other than the corruption trial, coming up soon!!

WORLD NEWSSpanish Police to Take Over Catalan Polling Stations to Thwart Independence Vote

Spain's government said on Tuesday police would take control of voting booths in Catalonia to help thwart the region's planned independence referendum that Madrid has declared illegal.

The dispute has plunged Spain into one of its biggest political crises since the restoration of democracy in the 1970s after decades of military dictatorship.

Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has said the referendum is against the law and the constitutional court has ordered it be halted while its legality is determined. Catalonia's separatist government, however, remains committed to holding it on Sunday.

Rajoy, speaking on Tuesday alongside U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, said it would be "ridiculous" if the affluent northeastern region declared independence from Spain.

Trump said he opposed the referendum and wanted a united Spain. "I really think the people of Catalonia would stay with Spain. I think it would be foolish not to," he told reporters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, a word, please; as a country which is a signatory to the UN, for which the concept of peaceful self-determination is enshrined in its charter, does the Spanish government have any possible clue about how geopolitically lousy the optics are of these moves against the Catalonian referendum?!?

I am having a double Picard facepalm, at warp speed, upon reading this!!!

Not allowing this referendum may well place Spain in the peril of having a civil war; and that, sir, is something no sane Spaniard would want to see happen!!!

WAS FACEBOOK PRESSURED INTO FINDING ‘SOMETHING’ TO IMPLICATE RUSSIA?

Robert Parry of Consortium News just published an extremely important article picking apart The Washington Post’s latest attempt to convince readers that Russia influenced the 2016 U.S. election. In this case, by purchasing a measly $100,000 of Facebook ads.

The Washington Post, which has a history of falsely claiming certain alternative media websites work for the Kremlin, is owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, which has a $600 million contract with the CIA. When it comes to Russia hysteria, the paper is in a class of its own.

What follows are some key excerpts from Parry’s piece, WPost Pushes More Dubious Russia-bashing. You should read the entire thing and share.

¡Dios mío! Spain blocks DNS to silence Catalan independence vote sites

As a controversial referendum on the independence of Catalonia draws near, the Spanish government has expanded efforts to shut it down, even blocking access to some websites.

After a number of .cat websites covering the referendum were aggressively shut down by the authorities, pro-independence groups set up new websites at different addresses, including referendum.party and ref1Oct.eu.

Now it appears that those websites are being partly blocked within Spain – putting informational websites on a par with copyright infringing sites like The Pirate Bay and extremist Islamic websites.

U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP QUIETLY SIGNS LAW TO ALLOW WARRANTLESS SEARCHES IN PARTS OF VA, DC AND MD

As former White House chief of staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has said: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.” While everyone was worried about the hurricanes, U.S. President Donald Trump signed away the Fourth Amendment buried in a new bill. He set a precedent by empowering the police state to allow warrantless searches in parts of VA, MD and D.C. near the Metro train system.

The new safety commission will take over from the current Federal Transit Agency (FTA), which has been in charge of safety oversight for the Washington Metropolitan Area Interstate Compact (WMATA) since October 2015.

“We’ll set this up and get the FTA out of Metro. They are happy to get out, and we’re happy to get them out,” Metro Board of Directors Chair Jack Evans told Bloomberg BNA. “I’m glad we got this thing. If nothing else, we’ll get our money.”

THE "RUSSIAN INFLUENCE" STORY FALLS APART - A NEW FAIRY TALE IS NEEDED

The Obama White House and some Democratic officials pressed Facebook to find evidence for alleged "Russian interference" in the U.S. election. When Facebook found none, the pressure increased. Facebook went back, again found nothing and political pressure increase further. Congress threatened to investigate. Senator Warner flew to California and demanded the "right" results. Eventually Facebook gave in:

By early August, Facebook had identified more than 3,000 ads addressing social and political issues that ran in the United States between 2015 and 2017 and that appear to have come from accounts associated with the Internet Research Agency.

All hailed Facebook - finally there was something they could build their anti-Russian campaign on.

Weeks Before His Assassination, JFK Ordered Full Withdrawal from Vietnam

The idea that Kennedy would push for an end to the United States’ corrupt and troubled involvement in Vietnam is not surprising, considering his ongoing war with the Central Intelligence Agency. However, the fact that Kennedy was pushing for full withdrawal from Vietnam just weeks before he was assassinated, should be noted and remembered. Less than one year later, the Gulf of Tonkin incident served as the perfect false flag to send the U.S. into a war that killed over 58,000 Americans.

NFL TEAMS STAYED IN LOCKER ROOMS FOR ANTHEM UNTIL 2009—THEN DOD BEGAN ‘PAYING FOR PATRIOTISM’

What many people are missing in this debate is the fact that prior to 2009, NFL teams did not generally stand for the anthem. While having the option to do so individually if they chose to, most of the time they stayed in the locker room during this pregame ritual.

“NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed this morning the practice began in 2009, adding, ‘As you know, the NFL has a long tradition of patriotism. Players are encouraged but not required to stand for the anthem.’”

Additionally, it has come to light that many of the “patriotic” pregame displays in the NFL are simply propaganda displays that were paid for by the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Guard – meaning that these displays were actually paid for by the American taxpayers.

THE CDC’S STRANGE CASE OF POUL THORSEN, MD, PHD, VACCINE DATA MANIPULATOR “EXTRAORDINAIRE”

A few months ago after reading the book Master Manipulator, I wrote an article about Poul Thorsen, MD, PhD, the Danish medical researcher who produced the ‘premiere safety study’ that vaccines do not cause Autism; however, the study was produced fraudulently, but the CDC still promotes it and has not retracted it from vaccinology research, as science protocol requires.

One of the questionable studies involved is “A population-based study of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination and autism” co-authored by Poul Thorsen, See comment in PubMed Commons below N Engl J Med. 2002 Nov 7;347(19):1477-82. It’s the study CDC particularly likes to point to regarding vaccines and Autism, and is published online here. The research was about ethylmercury in Thimerosal attributing to and/or causing Autism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In an age where science can increasingly be "bought", to enhance a pharmaceutical company's bottom line, please be very careful when your prescribing physician suggests a brand new, just out of the box treatment or vaccine for whatever ails you.

Because I have personally been a victim of a pharmaceutical company's "buying" the allegiance of my former physician by paying them for "recommending" certain prescriptions for my joint pain (which never really worked as advertised), at 68, I have absolutely no difficulty in asking a prescribing physician if they are getting compensated, in any way, for prescribing a medication for me.

Trust should never be an absolute; trust has to be earned.

Man convicted of terror offence for refusing to give police phone and laptop password

The director of an advocacy group has been convicted of a terror offence after refusing to give police passwords to access his phone and laptop at Heathrow Airport.

Muhammad Rabbani vowed to appeal the first verdict of its kind after being handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £620 in costs at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The director of Cage was stopped under the Terrorism Act on 20 November last year after returning home from a wedding in Doha, Qatar.

Officers demanded access to his phone and laptop under wide-ranging powers granted by Schedule 7 of the law.

It allows police and immigration officials to stop, search, question and detain anyone at British ports and airports to determine whether they were involved in the “commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism” – with or without reasonable suspicion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Like all the other erosions of our civil liberties this law will do nothing to stop real terrorists, who know not to use the internet for communications or to keep sensitive data on their phones and laptops.

The above hollowed-out coin can hold a micro SD card. Micro SD cards can hold huge amounts of data, topping out at 400 Gbytes; more than a third of a terabyte.

Real criminals and terrorists will use devices like this to protect their secrets, while law abiding citizens who simply desire their right to privacy are harassed and, as in this case, arrested.

SPANISH SUPPRESSION OF CATALAN INDEPENDENCE MOVEMENT CONTINUES TO ESCALATE

Disobedient Media previously reported on the suppression of the Catalan independence movement in Spain. Since our first coverage of the issue, repressive tactics in Spain have continued to escalate. Disobedient Media’s report on the issue was also disingenuously smeared by Spanish media outlet El País. The press outlet also heavily criticized Edward Snowden and Julian Assange for having expressed concern on the matter.

That El País would perceive an independent news source like Disobedient Media as damaging enough to warrant such a response illustrates the deep insecurity the Catalan independence movement has stirred in Spain. El Paísdevoted a large, inaccurate chart to our coverage of the events:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Disgusting on the part of the Spanish media and government, but thoroughly predictable.

And by the way, does the incumbent Spanish President, Mariano Rajoy, want his country to remain in the UN?!?

And I say this, because he, at the moment, is having a "SMD" moment, (selelctive memory disorder moment) because he needs, and right the heck now ,to remember, that as a signatory to the UN, and an alleged advocate of its charter, the concept of "peaceful self-determination" is a value which is thoroughly enshrined in that charter.

SPYING BICYCLES LET POLICE KNOW WHO AND WHERE YOU ARE

Can you recall when your parents bought your first bicycle? Can you recall how thrilled you were when you didn’t need training wheels?

Those were great memories right?

Now imagine a future, where parents are forced to buy a bicycle that uploads all your kids data to a NASA spy satellite that knows exactly where they are are at all times.

This can’t be real, I’m joking right?

Sadly, this is no joke.

Tomes Software, is working with the Ford motor company to develop a device that will alert vehicles that a cyclist is close to you and vice-versa. The company claims, their device will cut down on bicycle, vehicle collisions.

A recent article in the Detroit Free Press reveals, that Tomes Software is working with Ford, Trek and NASA to develop bicycles that collect and transmit all kinds of personal data. (Click here to learn more about NASA spy satellites.)

'ISRAELI FLAGS WON’T SAVE YOU': ERDOGAN THREATENS IRAQI KURDS WITH FAMINE OVER REFERENDUM

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that Iraqi Kurds will “not be able to find food” if Ankara decides to halt the flow of trucks and oil into the region, adding that all military and economic sanctions are on the table.

“[They] will be left in the lurch when we start imposing our sanctions,” Erdogan said in a speech broadcast live on television on Tuesday, as quoted by Reuters.

“It will be over when we close the oil taps, all [their] revenues will vanish, and they will not be able to find food when our trucks stop going to northern Iraq.”

Erdogan also warned that “flying Israeli flags” would not save the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) from regional isolation.

“If the only support for the KRG’s referendum is given by Israel and if the [outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party] PKK starts celebrating [the results] even before the polls close then there can be neither innocence nor legitimacy,” Erdo?an said, as quoted by Hurriyet.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the response to the referendum was positive (and we still don't know precisely how the vote went, because results have yet to be revealed) I am very concerned about massive further violence as a result in this part of Iraq.

The Kurds have been formidable US allies in terms of stomping on ISIS in Syria; but even if the US has stopped short of endorsing this referendum, where does this referendum put the US position vis a vis Turkey, Iraq, and a (soon) nearly created Kurdish state, rich with oil?!?

And don't the Kurdish people believe that such service to the US should have translated into their having their own country?!?

The US government has placed itself, Iraq, and Turkey, into a very sticky wicket, as our British cousins would say, by supporting the Kurds in fighting ISIS in Syria, but not supporting a potentially soon-coming independent Kurdistan, simultaneously potentially carving bits out of Iraq to create this new nation.

What were those in the bowels of the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of America thinking?!?!? The bottom line is here, they just weren't.

Apparently, not being able to think a scenario through to its logical conclusiion, has to be a prerequisite for working for the Federal government these days.

Monsanto Caught Ghostwriting Stanford University Hoover Institution Fellow’s Published Work

Newly-released documents, dubbed the Monsanto Papers, give the public a behind the scenes look into how far Monsanto will go to control public perception, news media and scientific research into the key ingredient in its Roundup product, glyphosate.

The documents, which include internal emails and memos, reveals among other things, how Henry I. Miller, a Robert Wesson Fellow in Scientific Philosophy and Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, allowed Monsanto to ghostwrite an editorial he published in Forbes.com and claimed as his own in 2015.

The 2015 editorial attacked the decision by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a branch of the World Health Organization, to classify glyphosate as a probable carcinogen.

How to end the North Korea problem

Here’s how to solve the seven-decade old crisis: pull all U.S. troops out of North Korea; end all military exercises on the North Korean border; encourage direct talks between the North and South and offer to host or observe them with an international delegation including the Russians and Chinese, which are after all Korea’s neighbors. MSM: Trump and the National Anthem are both relics of white supremacy

So perhaps the most important conversation the nation ought to have isn’t about whether the nation has a racist past (it does), but about how we can reverse a bloody present and future for the disadvantaged people living in its poorest (and most heavily Democrat controlled) neighborhoods. None of those 508 dead people in Chicago would have been saved if the nation scrapped the National Anthem altogether. NATO's Dragon-17 Drills: 'Dangerous Dreamers Dreaming of Real War With Russia'

Some 17,500 troops and 3,500 vehicles kicked off five days of drilling in Poland on Monday, the exercise coming on the heels of the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2017 drills, which Polish officials and media described as preparations for an invasion of Europe. Speaking to Sputnik, political analyst Konrad Rekas said the hypocrisy was delicious.
The NATO drills, whose active phase runs until Friday, involve troops from Poland and NATO allies the US, Lithuania, Latvia, the UK, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, as well as NATO hopefuls Georgia and Ukraine. Ahead of the exercises, Polish Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz said the drills would carry a "very aggressive" character, and involve 122,000 troops, rather than the aforementioned 17,500.

After the ISIS Caliphate, Rojava

While the Syrian Arab Army, the Russian aviation and Hezbollah are preparing to finish off Daesh, the Pentagon is planning a new war against Syria, this time with Kurdish troops. Just as the mission of the Caliphate was to create a Sunnistan straddling Iraq and Syria, so the mission of “Rojava” is to create a Kurdistan straddling the two states, as the Pentagon has been publicly stating for the last four years.

According to US grand strategy, as defined by Admiral Cebrowski in 2001, and published in 2004 by his assistant Thomas Barnett, all of the Greater Middle East must be destroyed except for Israël, Jordan and Lebanon.

Consequently, the imminent victory against Daesh will change nothing of the Pentagon’s intentions.

Donald Trump has composed his administration of ex-senior civil servants from the Obama administration, a number of opportunistic politicians, many improvised representatives, and very very few trustworthy personalities.

Trump at War with Dissent

Trump continues finding ways to disgrace himself, the latest episode Friday evening, criticizing legitimate dissent.

It’s the highest form of patriotism, the comment attributed to Thomas Jefferson, whether or not he actually said it.

In 1961, The Use of Force in International Affairs publication used the phrase, asking

“(i)f what your country is doing seems to you practically and morally wrong, is dissent the highest form of patriotism?”

During the height of the Vietnam war in 1969, New York Mayor John Lindsey said

“(w)e cannot rest content with the charge from Washington that…peaceful protest(s) (are) unpatriotic…The fact is that this dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”

The late Howard Zinn and other distinguished figures said the same thing in similar or identical language.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian pacivist activist, I dissent from the OUSSA's official narrative, engineered to continue to legitimize the wars it fights; to continue the outsourcing of American jobs; and continue its general attitude of bullying, both at home and around the world.

I do it peacefully, never advocate violence, and always do my best to speak the truth.

While I would probably not kneel during the playing of the national anthem (at 68, I'd probably need a tractor to pull me up to vertical again!), I sincerely believe that individual professional athletes do have the right to dissent peacefully in this manner.

President Trump should not have invested at all in this argument, as he has bigger fish to fry, both domestically, and internationally right now; this is a major distraction from the real issues he is confronting.

In fact, it almost reminds me of the "missing Chandra Levey" case, featuring Congressman Gary Condit as the alleged bad guy, in the summer of 2001, right before 9/11.

So I have to wonder; from just what, please, is the OUSSA trying to distract us at this moment?!?

New Research Links Flint Water Crisis to ‘Horrifyingly Large’ Spike in Fetal Death Rates

Shedding new light on the human costs of the ongoing Flint water crisis—as well as underscoring the need for regulatory oversight—a new working paper links the city’s now infamous switch from the Detroit system to the Flint River as a water source with a decrease in fertility rates and a spike in fetal death rates.

The paper (pdf) from researchers from the University of Kansas and West Virginia University is the first to look at lead-poisoned water’s impact on fertility and birth outcomes. It compares birth and fetal death rates, which refers to miscarriages after 20 weeks of gestation, in Flint with those in other Michigan cities from 2008 to 2015—before and after the 2014 water switch.

Following the change in the water source, women in Flint aged 15-49 had a general fertility rate (GFR) decease of 12 percent. Fetal death rates for the group increased by 58 percent—a magnitude the researchers describe as “horrifyingly large.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Every single city, county, and state official who signed off on this switch in water resources, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, tried, and convicted , and thrown into jail.

People should not be allowed to do this to any community in this country, period, end of discussion!!!!

US Provides Military Assistance to 73 Percent of World's Dictatorships

Today, of course, we are told that we should support insurgents in Syria because Bashar al-Assad is an evil dictator, and we must repeatedly rattle our sabers at North Korea's Kim Jong-un and Russia's Vladimir Putin because they, too, are evil dictators.

This is part of the larger, usually unquestioned mainstream corporate media narrative that the US leads the "Western democracies" in a global struggle to combat terrorism and totalitarianism and promote democracy.

I set out to answer a simple question: Is it true? Does the US government actually oppose dictatorships and champion democracy around the world, as we are repeatedly told?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Not only is the Occupied Unhinged Surveilled States of America supporting the world's dictators; they are also committing war crimes, for example, with the OUSSA aiding and abetting Saudi genocide in Yemen.

I don't know about the rest of you; however, I am very morally uncomfortable being a citizen of a country which routinely indulges in war crimes with impunity, because the OUSSA can get away with these kinds of actions.

I would love for Mike and I to become citizens of a country which does not participate in these immoral and unethincal acts; somewhere picturesque, perhaps, like the Municipality of Andorra; unfortunately we are both too broke, and too old, to make this happen.

What the Kurdish Referendum Means for the Future of Iraq

The referendum on independence for the Kurdish controlled territory, due to take place on 25 September, is the latest event billed as threatening the stability of Iraq and a good chunk of the Middle East. Seldom has a democratic poll in such a small place been so universally denounced by so many international powers, including the US, UK, Germany and France.

A White House statement emphasises “to the leaders of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) that the referendum is distracting from efforts to defeat Isis and stabilise the liberated areas. Holding the referendum in disputed areas is particularly provocative and destabilising.”

Regional powers like Turkey and Iran have likewise demanded that the referendum be cancelled and threatened retaliation if it is not. In Baghdad, the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has denounced it and the Supreme Court ruled that it was “unconstitutional”. But for all the sound and fury, it looks as if the vote is going ahead.

Death of Russian general in Syria is result of US hypocrisy – Moscow

The death of Russian Lieutenant-General Valery Asapov in Syria is the price Russia was forced to pay for hypocritical US policy, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.

“The death of the Russian commander is the price paid with blood for the hypocrisy of American policy in Syria," Ryabkov said on Monday.

General Asapov was serving as one of Russia’s military advisers in Syria. On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry said he was fatally wounded by an exploding shell in a sudden mortar attack by IS terrorists.

The deputy minister said Moscow wants Washington’s statements on fighting terrorism not to be at odds with its actions on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Russian and US militaries maintain “intensive” contacts at different levels, Ryabkov said.

On Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense published aerial images which they say show US Army special forces equipment located north of the Syrian town of Deir ez-Zor, where IS militants are deployed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am sensing that, in spite of all the intensive contacts between Russian and US military reps, those in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika may well find an "excuse" for engaging with the Russians directly in Syria, in order not to appear to be losing yet another military misadventure in the Middle East.

I hope to heck I am absolutely wrong on this; but looking at the messes the US has made of Afghanistan; Somalia; Iraq; and Libya, one can understand why the US government doesn't want the optics of the US attempt at "regime change" in Damascus to appear as another epic fail to the world.

Trump Accuses Iran of Cooperation with North Korea After Missile Test Launch

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran was cooperating with Pyongyang following the latest Tehran's ballistic missile test.

"Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel. They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have!" Trump posted on Twitter.

On Saturday, Iranian media reported that the country had successfully carried out the test launch of a new ballistic missile, dubbed Khorramshahr, with a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,242 miles).

The new Iranian long range missile Khoramshahr (front) is displayed during the annual military parade marking the anniversary of the outbreak of its devastating 1980-1988 war with Saddam Hussein's Iraq, on September 22,2017 in

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, please think for a moment; if you were Iran's President Rouhani, and listening to American, Israeli, and Saudi authorities all screaming in unison about regime change in Tehran, would you not be wanting to be creating, and manufacturing, the best, and longest-range missiles your scientists could create?!?

Of course you would!!

And sir, where is your proof that North Korea is assisting Iran in its missile program?!? Wouldn't the situation actually be the converse, with Iran assisting North Korea, because North Korea's guidance and staging of their missiles needs much to be desired before they can actually target something successfully?!?

And please remember: As of October 17th, 2014, irandaily.com carried the following comment:

Iran argues that it has rejected nuclear weapons as incompatible with Islam and cites a fatwa of Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as proof. American and European officials remain skeptical, however, that the issue is really governed by Shia Islamic principles. They have relied instead on murky intelligence that has never been confirmed about an alleged covert Iranian nuclear weapons program.

But the key to understanding Iran's policy toward nuclear weapons lies in a historical episode during its eight-year war with Iraq. The story, told in full for the first time here, explains why Iran never retaliated against Iraq's chemical weapons attacks on Iranian troops and civilians, which killed 20,000 Iranians and severely injured 100,000 more. And it strongly suggests that the Iranian leadership's aversion to developing chemical and nuclear weapons is deep-rooted and sincere.

How Obama is funding the anti-Trump resistance

Wall Street might be shocked to learn it is helping bankroll the anti-Trump “resistance” movement that’s aggressively fighting policies it favors — including corporate tax cuts and the repeal of Obama-era banking and health-care regulations.

The Obama administration’s massive shakedown of Big Banks over the mortgage crisis included unprecedented back-door funding for dozens of Democratic activist groups who were not even victims of the crisis.

At least three liberal nonprofit organizations the Justice Department approved to receive funds from multibillion-dollar mortgage settlements were instrumental in killing the ObamaCare repeal bill and are now lobbying against GOP tax reform, as well as efforts to rein in illegal immigration.

IRAN CLOSES AIRSPACE TO IRAQI KURDISTAN AHEAD OF HISTORIC INDEPENDENCE VOTE

The diplomatic and economic noose is tightening around Iraqi Kurdistan one day ahead of its historic independence referendum. On Sunday, the Iranian government announced closure of its airspace to northern Iraq's Sulaimani and Erbil Airports, at the request of Iraqi authorities. The Baghdad government has repeatedly threatened military intervention in Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region should the vote proceed on Monday, which Baghdad warns could provoke invasion by neighboring states. The United States too has warned that the non-binding referendum will be “particularly provocative and destabilizing” - this as Turkey musters tanks along its border with Iraqi Kurdistan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If this referendum gets overwhelmingly passed by Iraqi Kurds, which may well happen, look for a massive war in this part of Iraq, with Iran, Iraq, and Turkey, fighting Iraqi Kurds for territory, potentially completely destabilising Iraq.

POLICE HAVE KILLED MORE THAN 1,000 PEOPLE WITH TASERS SINCE 2000

Almost all 18,000 police departments across the U.S. issue officers tasers, or stun guns, which are meant to be a non-lethal weapon to help police subdue suspects. But tasers have proved controversial partly because, when misused, they can result in death. In a five-part series of original reporting, digging through court documents, police reports and public records, “Reuters” has documented more than 1,000 incidents since the year 2000 when people died after police fired tasers at them.

Pentagon Greenlights $700 Million Program To Combat Commercial ISIS Drones

The Pentagon is throwing $700 million at a rapidly progressing program to combat the threat of commercial drone use by the Islamic State, The New York Times reports.

The program has commissioned U.S. defense contractors to begin attempting to find solutions to the drone threat, including using lasers to shoot them out of the sky. The technology is in its infancy and has yet to yield any significant results. ISIS has pioneered the use of relatively cheap commercial drones as airborne improvised explosive devices, for surveillance, and propaganda purposes.

The Pentagon program comes as it increases the number of U.S. troops in Syria to assist training for the Syrian Democratic Forces in the fight against ISIS. The Pentagon reportedly worries that its bases could be vulnerable to ISIS drone attacks, and it sees the broader trend in warfare.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly don't think that it is only commercial drone use by Isis the Pentagon is attempting to counter; please note that, to date, the US military has been unable to shoot any Korean test missiles out of the sky.

TURKEY AND IRAN CONDUCT MASSIVE MILITARY DRILLS NEAR KURDISH REGIONS OF IRAQ

Today, Iraqi Kurds will vote in a long awaited and widely condemned separatism referendum that is being boycotting by Arabs and Turkomen.

The referendum which has been condemned by all regional powers except for Israel as well as condemned by the UN, US, China and Russia, has already caused both Iran and Turkey to effectively shut down Iraqi airspace for all commercial flights over the region.

Today, both Iran and Turkey have been conducting large scale live-fire military drills in their respective regions bordering parts of Iraq unilaterally claimed by Kurds.

The no-fly zone over the area which will be policed by Iran and Turkey has been coordinated with the Iraqi government.

According to Keyvan Khosravi, the press secretary of Iran’s supreme national security conucil

Webmaster's Commentary:

If in fact Kurds vote for independence, this may well create yet another civil war in sections of Iraq and Syria.

But one has to wonder; where is the US government in all this?!? Although the Kurds have been the most steadfast, valiant proxy against the jihadists in Syria, and there was an unspoken understanding that the US would support an independent Kurdish state after the defeat of Isis, that support doesn't seem to be at all forthcoming. As reported at israelrising.com last week:

“The United States does not support the Kurdistan Regional Government’s intention to hold a referendum later this month,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Friday. “The United States has repeatedly emphasized to the leaders of the Kurdistan Regional Government that the referendum is distracting from efforts to defeat [the Islamic State] and stabilize the liberated areas.” Of course, the United States should not be surprised by the drive by the Kurds for an independent state. The Kurds have for centuries pushed for their own sovereign country without success. Now, with the Kurdish Regional Government showing that they are by far the most stable entity in Iraq and have been the biggest reason behind the coalition’s success against ISIS, the drive for independence has been expected. “We know, by the way, that the State Department and possibly the [Defense Department] are personally contacting members of Congress, senators, representatives, asking them not to support the referendum,” Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, told POLITICO in a recent interview. “We’re very serious about independence. It’s kind of disheartening that for two to three years we talked about a referendum and the U.S. said that it was surprised.” The US is challenged by the possibility of an independent Kurdistan, because supporting its independence, would essentially collapse the post World War 2 security structure in the Middle East. An independent Kurdistan in Northern Iraq may only constitute a minority of the total Kurdish population and their homeland in the Middle East, but by the US supporting it, would cause Turkey to disconnect from the West and Iraq to officially declare allegiance to Iran.

Kurds ready to pay any price for freedom, Barzani says, sticking by independence vote

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Massoud Barzani said on Friday that Iraq’s Kurds were ready “to pay any price for freedom”, rejecting international pressure to call off the referendum on independence planned for Monday in northern Iraq.

Addressing a rally in support of the vote in Erbil, the seat of the KRG, Barzani reacted to a United Nations Security Council statement that expressed on Wednesday concern over the potential destabilizing impact of the vote on Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And also, today, we have the following headlines from antiwar.com:

Turkey says it won't accept Kurdish independence vote

The US is behind an independent Kurdistan; Israel is behind this; it all comes down to who has the best weapons and the best financing, and that country, right now, is not... Turkey. Iraq cannot be happy about this development, but at the moment, they are, fundamentally, powerless to stop it.

US-Made Bomb Killed 16 Civilians in Yemen’s Capital: Amnesty Confirms Recent Saudi Strike Clearly Used US Bomb

According to a new report from Amnesty International, the August 25 Saudi airstrike against a residential area in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, which killed 16 civilians, seven of them children, was conducted with a US-made bomb.

This was already an unusual incident, as Saudi Arabia issued a statement blaming the incident on a “technical error.” Amnesty noted remnants of the bomb bore clear markings showing it to be a common variety of laser-guided air-dropped bomb made by the US.

Saudi airstrikes have been killing a massive number of civilians across Yemen in recent years, and given their massive arms purchases from the US this doubtless is often the case. Still, there is some hope that confirmation a US-made bomb killed a number of civilians will serve as something of a wake-up call.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To Saudi Arabia's Prince Salmon, and President Trump: this alleged "technical error" are causing those killed, including those children, do be no less dead.

And President Trump, I am very annoyed to continue to have to be a citizen of a country whose leadership believes that its culpability in Saudi war crimes in Yemen is "no big deal".

Enough Already With All The Bombast

Behind all the hysteria over North Korea lies the basic question: why would rather small North Korea embark on a nuclear war with the United States? Its leadership, however zany and eccentric, is in no mood to commit suicide. US nuclear weapons would vaporize North Korea before any of the missiles it might fire at North America could detonate. Having nuclear-armed missiles does not necessarily make one’s nation a public menace that must be destroyed. India has them. So do Pakistan and Israel, China and Russia. Add France and Britain. We don’t keep threatening to invade them and overthrow their governments. That’s why they are not threatening us.

Trump, Ghani agree U.S. can help develop Afghanistan's rare earth minerals

Hate to agree with Karl, but wars are economic, actually criminal. SYRIA - CRAP HITS FAN AS U.S. PROXIES KILL RUSSIA'S ALLIES

Late afternoon today (local time) U.S. hired, equipped and advised Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters killed nine Syrian Arab Army soldiers. The soldiers were in a boat crossing the Euphrates river near Deir Ezzor city.

Two sources independently reported the incident. There is so far no official confirmation. The following assumes that the above indeed happened.

The killers were from a U.S. hired gang of Arab tribal fighters under one Ahmad Abu Khawla. He is well known as a local criminal who had earlier fought for the Islamic State (ISIS). His gang is nominally under the command of the YPK/PKK which is the main U.S. ally in north-eastern Syria. U.S. special forces are in the area as "advisors" to the various SDF groups.

Abu Khawla is officially the commander of the "Deir Ezzor military council" - a body the U.S. advisors invented as umbrella for its collection of local mercenaries.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There will be consequences for this, but most they will most probably be asymetric in nature from the Russian/Syrian military.

HUNDREDS OF UNIVERSITIES HAVE HELPED DHS CREATE A NATION OF FEAR

Ever wonder who's responsible for our daily dosage of fear, terror and crime?

Look no further than our colleges and universities.

According to DHS, 'Homeland Security Centers of Excellence' (COE) are 'led by a college or university'.

COE's are responsible for blacklists, countering violent extremism and DHS propaganda videos and literature.

Colleges and universities have been working with DHS for fifteen years.

Since 2002, when the Homeland Security Act was passed, numerous colleges and universities have been feeding from the DHS money trough. Each year they line up like good little Bundists, promoting DHS's vision of terror.

Think about that, everything you've been told about terrorism and extremism is coming from colleges!

Schools across America will do anything, even if that means working with DHS, so they can get a piece of the annual $35-$40 million pie.

MORE THAN 40 FAMILIES PULL CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL THAT FORCED TRANSGENDER LESSON ON 5-YEAR-OLDS

Forty-one families have pulled 73 children from the elite Sacramento-area Rocklin Academy charter schools as the board continues to defend a kindergarten transgender lesson several parents say traumatized their 5-year-olds and that parents weren’t told about beforehand.

A mother who pulled her son from Grade 6 and daughter from Grade 3 at Rocklin Academy Gateway, where the incident took place, has kept a tally of parents who’ve done likewise.

“It was just the tipping point for most families,” the parent, who asked her name not be published, told LifeSiteNews.

Some parents pulled their kids “solely for this,” while other had “multiple reasons, but yes, this was part of everyone’s reason,” she said.

The controversy erupted after a lesson in which the boy appeared in girl’s clothes and was reintroduced to his kindergarten classmates as a girl.

Teacher Kaelin Swaney also read the pro-transgender “I am Jazz” during the lesson, which took place just before summer vacation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

While the issue of transgender is very real, and all of God's children need to be treated with love, respect and compassion, it is still relatively rare.

People who identify as transgender in this country are +/-
o.6 percent of the population

I can understand that a 5 year old could be very confused, and emotionally traumatized, by such information; and on top of that, parents should have had the right to know that this was going on in advance of any kind of a classroom session on this kind of material, to make the decision as to whether they want their child exposed to this or not, at such a young age.

Swaney and the board massively overstepped here.

ERDOGAN’S THUGS ASSAULT PROTESTERS IN US (AGAIN)

In the span of fewer than four months, Recep Erdogan has brought out the rage of his violent AKP fanatics on US citizens again.

After a brutal attack outside the Turkish embassy in Washington DC this May, more pro-Erdogan violence has broken out; this time as the Turkish President made a speech in New York.

Erdogan was giving a speech Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square. Some time into the speech an audience member apparently screamed “terrorist” at the Islamic State funding, vote-rigging, and opposition jailing president.

Men in black suits then approached the protesters and removed from the hall. At this time it is unclear whether those men were US secret service agents, security contractors or Erdogan’s personal security detail.

AIRPORT POLICE DEMANDED AN ACTIVIST’S PASSWORDS. HE REFUSED. NOW HE FACES PRISON IN THE UK.

It was not the first time Muhammad Rabbani had problems when returning to the United Kingdom from travels overseas. But on this occasion something was different — he was arrested, handcuffed, and hauled through London’s largest airport, then put into the back of a waiting police van.

Rabbani is the 36-year old international director of Cage, a British group that was founded in 2003 to raise awareness about the plight of prisoners held at the U.S. government’s Guantanamo Bay detention site. Today, the organization has a broader focus and says it is working to highlight “the erosion of the rule of law in the context of the War on Terror.” Due to its work campaigning for the legal rights of terrorism suspects, Cage has attracted controversy, and Rabbani has faced the government’s wrath.

I hope that Mr. Rabbani makes the information he recieved from the formerly tortured individual public, just as soon as is reasonably, and legally, possible.

US nuclear carrier conducts naval drills with Japan as N. Korea threatens H-bomb test

The 100,000-ton US Navy supercarrier ‘Ronald Reagan’ has conducted drills with Japanese warships south of the Korean Peninsula, Japan's military said. Pyongyang, meanwhile, has threatened a further “hydrogen bomb test” over the Pacific.
The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force said in a statement on Friday that the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier ‘Ronald Reagan,’ based in the Japanese town of Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, and its escort ships have been holding drills with Japanese Navy vessels in waters south and west of Japan's main islands since September 11. The strike group is also set to stage a separate drill with the South Korean Navy in October, the Defense Ministry added.

Indian, Pakistani Armies Hold Cross-Border Talks Amidst Deadly Shelling

After a week of heavy cross-border shelling between Indian and Pakistani forces, the directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of both armies held a crucial meeting on Friday.

That meeting unfortunately made no headway, as both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire. Pakistan alleged that shelling by Indian troops resulted in the death of six Pakistani civilians and injured 30. The Indian side vehemently denied having deliberately fired at civilians.

"DGMO-level talks on behest of Pak DGMO was held on September 22. During the talks the Pak DGMO raised the issue of targeting of Pakistani civilians opposite the Jammu sector," the Indian Army said in a statement on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"We Will Not Seek Permission": Defiant Iran Unveils New Ballistic Missile

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered another snub to the Trump administration on Friday when he said that Iran would continue its missile program in defiance of US sanctions, and to underscore the determination, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard unveiled its newest long-range ballistic missile during a military parade in Tehran.

The new missile that was introduced at the parade is capable of reaching much of the Middle East, including Israel, with a range of 1,200 miles. It's also capable of carrying several warheads. The parade in Tehran commemorated the 1980s Iraq-Iran war. Though Iran has long boasted of having missiles in the same range in its arsenal, it was the first time that the new Khoramshahr missile was displayed in public, the AP reported adding that in February, Iran test-fired the same medium-range type of missile, prompting Trump to say that the United States is "putting Iran on notice."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Look, with the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia collectively breathing down Iran's neck, in terms of screaming "regime change" at Tehran, if you were Rouhani, wouldn't you be looking at producing the best weapons possible, as a deterrent to that regime change?!?

Of course you would!!

China Fears "Vicious Circle" On Korean Peninsula, US Sees "Tipping Point" If Kim Tests H-Bomb Over Pacific

In a considerably more aggressive, and less diplomatic, 'story' in China's government mouthpiece Xinhua, writers warn:

"It is not hard to tell that the situation has become a vicious circle where more missile tests trigger more sanctions, while more sanctions trigger more tests..." urging the double-freeze solution once again, saying that "the parties concerned need to respect each other's security concerns."

However, following last night's less than veiled threat from North Korea that the next escalation will be to test a hydrogen-bomb over the Pacific:

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho suggested leader Kim Jong Un was considering testing “an unprecedented scale hydrogen bomb” over the Pacific in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat at the United Nations to “totally destroy” the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I fully expect that either North Korea is going to haul off, and test some kind of a bomb, (or the US will create a false flag to make it appear that he has done so), and relatively soon.

The North Korean holiday, Party Foundation Day, comes up on 10 October, and Kim Jung Un likes to "couple" missile tests with national holidays: he may decide to do such a test then, or perhaps sooner.

But Youtube has just done something completely, thoroughly, amazingly idiotic, realtive to North Korea; as reported at 38north.org, a program run by Duke University to track what North Korea is doing via satellite.

Thanks to YouTube, North Korea Has Just Become Even More Opaque

The article goes on to state:

"YouTube’s decision to delete North Korean YouTube channels has served to highlight the sometimes-unintended consequences of sanctions and the absolute power enjoyed by Internet companies over their users. In doing so, the company has cut off a vital supply of video used by open source researchers, which means there is now less visibility into what’s happening in North Korea. The Western world’s understanding of North Korea is limited to begin with, cutting off access to these few windows into North Korean thinking and life further hampers our knowledge of the country.

On September 8, some in the open source intelligence community logged on to YouTube to find the “Uriminzokkiri” (우리민족끼리) channel was gone.

The only explanation from Google was a simple notice: “This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.” At about the same time, the same message appeared on the “StimmeKoreas” YouTube channel."

Could the timing possibly have been any worse, in this very dangerous moment when it appears that the US and North Korea appear to be closer to actual military conflict than they have for years ?!?

I think not.

Florida Residents Warned They'll Be Ticketed For Hurricane-Damaged Homes

At a time when South Floridians rocked by Hurricane Irma were still surveying the damage to their properties, the county of Miami-Dade apparently thought it appropriate to begin handing out safety notices.

Celso Perez told local WSVN-TV that he, his family, and his neighbors were starting to clear fallen trees from the streets after the storm passed through at nine in the morning on Monday. Hours later, in the afternoon, Perez got a visit from the county.

“And we thought he was here to help us or offer some type of assistance with the trees, maybe he was going to bring us ice or something,” Perez told WSVN. Instead, the official slapped a safety notice on the only part of Perez’s fence still standing.

“I laughed,” he said. “I thought he was kidding. ‘You are kidding right? We just had a hurricane six hours ago.’ ‘No, I’m not kidding. I have to cite you for this.’ I just laughed. OK, whatever; knock yourself out!”

A UN Force for Ukraine: Beware the Trojan Horse

The regime in Kiev is now an adjunct of the NATO war alliance, a willing pawn in the bigger game. It has dragged its people into chaos and poverty and they have gained nothing except NATO chains.

As Donald Trump takes to the U.N. General Assembly to demonize Iran yet again, the Trump administration is also considering a more aggressive strategy towards Iran behind closed doors, sources have told Reuters.

According to six current and former U.S. officials, the U.S. will be looking at more hostile responses to Iran’s forces, its proxy armies in Iraq and Syria, and its support for militant groups.

According to the sources, the current proposal was drafted by Defense Secretary Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, national security advisor General H.R. McMaster, and several other top officials before it was presented to President Trump at a National Security Council meeting on September 9.

The proposal will ultimately be made public before the end of September, two of the sources said. The sources requested anonymity because the draft proposal had not yet been finalized.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will lead, ultimately, to war against both Russia and Iran, as Russian politicians and military professionals have vowed that should Iran be attacked militarily, they will respond.

It is only a matter of time; and my sense, listening to the intense demonisation of Iran by President Trump at the UN earlier this week in his maiden speech there, it will be a question of sooner, rather than later.

And President Trump may find a way for the Iranians to be perceived as having struck first, perhaps tricking them into attacking a nearby US outpost in the Middle East as did FDR, with the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, to whip up collective American animosity and desire for revenge against them.
Pearl Harbor attack; Hawaii was surprised, but FDR was not.

I would, however, like to strongly caution President Trump about such a war against Iran in one specific area; both Israel and Saudi Arabia have been cheerleading for regime change in Tehran for a long time; but they fully expect the costs borne from such a war to be primarily in American blood and American money.

Mr. President, if there EVER was a time for not obliging your twin BFFs in the Middle East, Bibi Netanyahu and Prince Salman, by starting this potentially catastrophic war in the Middle East, it is now.

The interests of the American people are absolutely not alligned with those of these two tyrannical leaders on this issue.

Let them join forces and fight Iran, if they are pathologically incapable of engaging in intelligent, moral, hard-won negotiations with which to resolve their differences with Iran; but let's leave the American military out of this, please.

Trump, We Hardly Knew Ye (Too bad your Camelot was only a brief shining moment)

If Trump was ever sincere, his election has proven that one person simply cannot fight this corrupt system, this horrid swamp. Trump the reformer, the unlikeliest of knights in shining armor, is gone. The renegade billionaire striking fear into the heart of the establishment lasted a brief shining moment, like Camelot. Trump has unfortunately proven to be exactly what his detractors claimed he was; immature, egotistical, unprincipled, vain, elitist. This certainly doesn’t make most of his critics any less offensive than they are. Indeed, that is the lone redeeming value of Trump’s administration; he continues to have all the right enemies. The threats of violence, even assassination, from every pillar of the establishment almost make one want to continue to defend him. Almost.

Happy Birthday CIA: Seven Truly Terrible Things the Agency Has Done in 70 Years

On Monday, President Trump tweeted birthday wishes to the Air Force and the CIA. Both became official organizations 70 years ago on September 18, 1947, with the implementation of the National Security Act of 1947.

After spending years as a wartime intelligence agency called the Office of Strategic Services, the agency was solidified as a key player in the federal government’s operations with then-President Harry Truman’s authorization.

In the seventy years since, the CIA has committed a wide variety of misdeeds, crimes, coups, and violence. Here are seven of the worst programs they’ve carried out (that are known to the public):

Never Forget: The US Government Has A Known History Of Using False Flags

When it comes to 9/11, there are two groups of people: those who don’t know exactly what happened, and those who orchestrated it.

Nearly everyone on earth belongs in the former category, but a lot of folks like to pretend they have a rock solid understanding of the events which transpired on that fateful day in 2001. Scoffing mainstream adherents like to pretend they’re confident that the official narrative is accurate, but they aren’t. A lot of hardcore conspiracy analysts like to pretend they know the real story, but they don’t.

There’s simply not enough publicly available information for anyone to be certain exactly how things went down that day; all we can know for sure is that (A) the official story is riddled with plot holes, and (B) the American power establishment has an extensive and well-documented history of using false flags and propaganda to manipulate the public into supporting evil acts of military interventionism.

Trump is conflating Pyongyang with Tehran. The results could be catastrophic

President Donald Trump took a page out of the George W Bush playbook at his UN address on Tuesday. To justify confrontation with Iran, conflate it with Pyongyang. To justify confrontation with North Korea, conflate it with Tehran.

This is the latest gimmick in Trump’s desperate efforts to kill the nuclear deal with Iran: by focusing on Tehran’s objectionable non-nuclear policies and false claims of the unevenness of the Iran deal, Trump is arguing that sustaining the international accord can no longer be justified since it doesn’t address the totality of America’s concerns with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What I am seeing, in Trump's conflating Iran with North Korea and Russia, is an arc of desperate geopolitical insanity from this administration, stretching from Asia all the way through the Middle East, and over to Russia.

And why?!?

Because the US economy is about to tank, and the US government wants to have something to blame for that happening, and attempt to misdirect Americans from it with a world war.

A very "serious as a heart attack" political analyst, Paul Craig Roberts, has recently claimed that the US government is looking to nuke both Russia and China.

Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and China

This isn't some raving lunatic, screaming that the sky is falling; he is an accomplished author, politician, and lecturer. As his wikipedia bio states:

"Paul Craig Roberts (born April 3, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia) is an economist and a nationally syndicated columnist for Creators Syndicate. He served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration earning fame as the "Father of Reaganomics". He is a former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Scripps Howard News Service. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He was a post-graduate at the University of California, Berkeley, and Oxford University where he was a member of Merton College.

In 1992 he received the Warren Brookes Award for Excellence in Journalism. In 1993 the Forbes Media Guide ranked him as one of the top seven journalists in the United States.[1] His writings frequently appear on OpEdNews.com, Antiwar.com, VDARE.com. Lew Rockwell's web site, CounterPunch, and the American Free Press."

This guy has "street cred", and is no intellectual slouch by any standard. So when he told us, as he did back in April, that the US government is getting ready to militarily knock the heck out of Russia and China, to prevent the rise of the ruble and yuan in international business trade, I would suggest that you take him at his word.

Mike and I have been looking at this coming, for about the last 20 years; it's like the architypal dream of seeing a slow-motion train wreck about to happen, but being powerless to prevent it.

And unfortunately, unless we on planet earth wind up on the receiving end of a miracle, such a train wreck appears imminent.

I hope to heck I am absolutely, completely wrong; but I cannot but help seeing that the momentum toward such a war is growing exponentially for those in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika.

U.S. not ruling out possible oil embargo on Venezuela: Haley

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Thursday a range of options remained on the table, including a possible oil embargo, if Venezuela did not move to restore its democratic processes.

“There’s a lot of support in Latin America to see Venezuela start to respect its people and go back to the democracy it’s supposed to be,” she told reporters. “If things don’t improve, all those options are always there,” Haley added, saying specifically that the possibility of an oil embargo remained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported by ap.com on 10 August, 2017:

But even as the list of targeted individuals grows longer, promised economic sanctions have yet to materialize amid an outcry by the United States oil industry that a potential ban on petroleum imports from Venezuela – the third-largest supplier to the US – would hurt US jobs and drive up gas costs.

So the oil embargo suggested by Ambassador Haley is going to mess considerably with the American econony, yet she seems gung ho to do this, to achieve the Trump Administration's geopolitical objective of regime change in Caracas, and having Venezuelan oil ultimately sold only in US dollars?!?

Such a plan sounds absolutely as though it will be of no actual help to either the American or Venezuelan people; but of great help to the massive US oil companies, and the banks.

Russia Warns It Would Retaliate Against US Forces in Syria If Provoked

According to the Pentagon, US and Russian generals have held a face-to-face meeting this week about trying to avoid accidental conflict within Syria, with both sides are finding their forces increasingly in close proximity, and with contrary agendas.

According to spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon, both sides “laid down maps and graphics” suggesting an unusual increase in information sharing between the two sides. This comes amid warnings from Russia that they’re prepared to retaliate against US troops if provoked.

It’s not just a theoretical problem either. Russian officials warn that twice in recent days their troops have come under fire from US-backed Kurdish forces, including a time when mortars were fired at them from a position held by US troops.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a military CO on the ground in Syria, I would take the Russians at their word on this.

The Russian military, in concert with Syrian forces, have pretty much retaken most of the country held under ISIS.

For a sane US military commander, or commander in chief, there can be very little realistic hope of regime change in Damascus at this point, unless the US government decides it is worth it to fight both Russia and Syrian forces on the ground, and we most likely do not have the necessary number of troops to do this here.

And the US military, at this time in its history, absolutely does not have the troop strength; the money; the manufacturing or the weaponry to accomplish this in Syria.

Therefore, henceforward, militarily, and dealing with the current state of US troop and equipment readiness (or lack thereof), I would both strongly and politely suggest that the US government needs to pick its fights very carefully.

Tillerson: Iran ‘Technically’ Complying With Nuclear Deal

In comments that may provide some insight into the Trump Administration position on Iran, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson conceded that “no one” disagreed with Iran being in compliance with the P5+1 nuclear deal. He insisted, however, that this compliance was only “technically” compliance.

This led to talk of Iran violating the “spirit” of the deal, even though they are complying with all the actual written terms of the deal. Tillerson suggested that the expectation was that the deal would “remove” Iran as a threat in the eyes of the US.

Which of course is something that Iran has literally no control over. US policy is to be hostile toward Iran, and the fact that this didn’t evaporate overnight is neither surprising, nor something that anyone could’ve thought might happen as the result of the P5+1 deal, which covered only Iran’s civilian nuclear program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a professional basket ball player might observe, The Trump administration has "no game" against Iran, which is why it is attempting to demonize the Iranian government over things which were never a part of the P5+1 agreement in the first place.

And Mr. President, a word here, please: both Saudi Arabia and Israel would love to see regime change in Damascus; but generally, only at the cost of American blood and American money.

Here at home, you're dealing with a war-weary and war-cynical citizenry, who are looking at the epic fails of US foreign policy represented by the "usual suspects" of real, or attempted, regime change: Iraq; Afghanistan; Syria; Somalia; and Libya, and seriously doubt that this is really the right time to get into another military misadventure in the Middle East, Africa, or North Korea, or anywhere else, thank you very much.

And as a Christian pacifist activist, constantly exhorting both you, and every one else at the Federal level, to attempt to resolve this country's geopolitical differences with meaningful negotiations, rather than through wars, I am politely and sincerely asking you to allow the US government to stay the course with the P5+1 treaty.

This continues to work for peace, and the Iranian government has been declared in full compliance of the deal by the IAEA, and these people are smart enough to understand if there is the slightest deviation from what they expect to see.

Let's let the experts continue to do their jobs.

We have problems enough here in the US, where half the country is burning with uncontrolled wildfires, and the other half is flooded by tropical storms and torrential rains, not to mention an economy which is just about on the tipping point.

Distrustful U.S. allies force spy agency to back down in encryption fight

An international group of cryptography experts has forced the U.S. National Security Agency to back down over two data encryption techniques it wanted set as global industry standards, reflecting deep mistrust among close U.S. allies.

In interviews and emails seen by Reuters, academic and industry experts from countries including Germany, Japan and Israel worried that the U.S. electronic spy agency was pushing the new techniques not because they were good encryption tools, but because it knew how to break them.

The NSA has now agreed to drop all but the most powerful versions of the techniques - those least likely to be vulnerable to hacks - to address the concerns.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I can completely understand the unease of our "international partners" in this area!!

COURT RULES STINGRAY USE WITHOUT A WARRANT VIOLATES FOURTH AMENDMENT

Today, the Washington DC Court of Appeals overturned a Superior Court conviction of a man who was located by police using a cell-site simulator, or Stingray, CBS Newsreports. The court ruled that the defendant’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated when law enforcement tracked down the suspect using his own cell phone without a warrant.

Stingrays work by pretending to be a cell tower and once they’re brought close enough to a particular phone, that phone pings a signal off of them. The Stingray then grabs onto that signal and allows whoever’s using it to locate the phone in question. These sorts of devices are used by a number of different agencies including the FBI, ICE, the IRS as well as policeofficers.

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES & UGLY REPERCUSSIONS: IT'S GETTING WORSE IN CATALONIA

As NakedCapitalism's Jerri-Lynn writes, the Catalonia crisis is accelerating, with Madrid’s crackdown increasing support for independence even among those previously not so disposed. This does not look like it will end well.

Spain will deploy police reinforcements to the northeastern region of Catalonia to maintain order and take actionif a referendum on independence pledged by the Catalan government but deemed illegal by Spain should take place, officials said Friday.

AP reports that an Interior Ministry statement said the extra agents would provide backing for the Catalan regional police who are also under orders to prevent the staging of the referendum.

But protests continue to grow and Rajoy's actions only seem to solidify opposition...

Webmaster's Commentary:

This has all the earmarks of a coming civil war in Spain, unless Madrid relents, which I do not think is going to happen.

1 October is one week from Sunday, and I do not think that there is anything, ulitmately, Spain can actually do, to prevent this secession of Catalonia, as much as they may hate the idea.

Trump Alone Threatened War in His UN Address

The UN is a venue for promoting world peace and stability. Trump used his General Assembly address for hostile chest-thumping, threatening North Korea, Iran, Venezuela and Syria’s Bashar al-Assad – a disgraceful jingoistic display.

The only language he understands is belligerence, escalating wars he inherited from Bush/Cheney and Obama, plotting new ones, threatening possible nuclear confrontation on the Korean peninsula.

He’s a national disgrace and a world menace, a rogue leader. Addresses by his counterparts and other officials representing their countries shamed him.

The Biggest Lie: The CIA and NSA Produce National Security and Need Secrecy

What we really need for 9/11 truth is to open the files of the CIA, NSA and FBI, and we need it for truth in many other realms too. The Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth have a petition that seeks a new and truly independent investigation. This is a step in the right direction. We need far more than that. We need to penetrate the secrecy of the CIA and NSA on a timely and complete basis, not 50 years after the fact and only partially. Their files have to be opened. We cannot let the government continue to hide behind “national security”.

"Extraordinary & Worrisome" - WSJ Demands To Know How FBI 'Meddled' In 2016 Elections

When Donald Trump claimed in March that he’d had his “wires tapped” prior to the election, the press and Obama officials dismissed the accusation as a fantasy. We were among the skeptics, but with former director James Comey’s politicized FBI the story is getting more complicated.

CNN reported Monday that the FBI obtained a warrant last year to eavesdrop on Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s campaign manager from May to August in 2016. The story claims the FBI first wiretapped Mr. Manafort in 2014 while investigating his work as a lobbyist for Ukraine’s ruling party. That warrant lapsed, but the FBI convinced the court that administers the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to issue a second order as part of its probe into Russian meddling in the election.

Guess who has lived in a condo in Trump Tower since 2006? Paul Manafort.

The story suggests the monitoring started in the summer or fall, and extended into early this year.

Driving Miss Crazy: Morgan Freeman Declares War on Russia at Rob Reiner's Behest

Social media is awash with outrage after Hollywood megastar Morgan Freeman appeared in a propaganda video issued by a newly-established anti-Russian non-profit group, in which he declares Washington is at war with Moscow.

Morgan Freeman is an almost universally beloved figure in the West, and his famed golden voice almost universally beloved across the West, so it's understandable why the newly-established Committee to Investigate Russia might choose him to front its propaganda campaign.

However, initial reactions to the clip on social media suggest the move might've been a titanic misfire, as even supporters of the #TheRussiansDidIt hypothesis criticizing the group, and slamming the video's incendiary tone.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder what a forensic accounting of the group sponsoring this video would reveal about who actually paid for this?!?

The "cozying up" between the US government/military and "Hollowood", over decades, is no big secret.

Shell corporations, posing as non-profits, are a common feature in the American business landscape these days.

Any professional respect I once had for this very capable actor, which was huge, has just been shattered into absolute oblivion.

Did he not realise, upon accepting the gig, which was allegedly fronted by Rob Reiner, that he is actually working for the military/industrial complex of the Occupied, Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika?!?

Because the ultimate "winner" in the ratcheting up of tensions between the OUSSA and Russia, will be only that warmongering gang of thugs which manufacture weapons, in terms of more huge outlays in military spending, as the Deep State is actually planning to go to war against Russia AND China, to prevent the rise of the ruble and yuan against the petrodollar.

Washington plans to Nuke Russia and China

And how many defense companies may be in Rob Reiner's financial portfolio at this moment?!?

He is rumored to be worth 60 million in net worth at this point in his career

Did all of that come only from residuals and socially conscious investing?!? One has to wonder.

Push to unseal the draft Whitewater indictment against Hillary Clinton gets court date

A federal appeals court will hear a case brought by Judicial Watch on Friday to make public draft indictments of Hillary Clinton from the Whitewater scandal in the 1990s.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that files Freedom of Information Act requests, wants copies of the documents that the National Archives and Records Administration has declined to release. It filed a FOIA request for the documents in March 2015 and in October 2015 the group sued for the 238 pages of responsive records.

According to Judicial Watch: “The National Archives argues that the documents should be kept secret, citing grand jury secrecy and Clinton’s personal privacy.”

China says North Korean situation more serious by the day

The situation on the Korean peninsula is getting more serious by the day and cannot be allowed to spin out of control, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his German counterpart, the state-run China News Service said on Thursday.

A resolution to the North Korea issue cannot only rely on sanctions and not talks, Wang said, meeting German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on the sidelines of a United Nations meeting in New York on Wednesday, the report added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ambassador Yi is absolutely correct in his assessment.

China absolutely does NOT want to get mired in a war between the US and North Korea, and is very teed off that the confrontation has pushed tensions in the region to a knife's edge.

The US tolerates a nuclear-armed China; a nuclear-armed Israel; a nuclear-armed Russia; a nuclear-armed Pakistan; and a nuclear-armed India; why is it pathologically incapable, under President Trump's watch, of tolerating a nuclear-armed North Korea?!?

These weapons are developed as a deterrent to invasion, and would never be used in a first-strike capability by North Korea, because they understand that should they do so, the US, South Korea. and Japan would have their country reduced to molten glass in a heartbeat.

TRUMP FALLS IN LINE WITH INTERVENTIONISM

In discussing President Trump, there is always the soft prejudice of low expectations – people praise him for reading from a Teleprompter even if his words make little sense – but there is no getting around the reality that his maiden address to the United Nations General Assembly must rank as one of the most embarrassing moments in America’s relations with the global community.

Trump offered a crude patchwork of propaganda and bluster, partly delivered as a campaign speech praising his own leadership – boasting about the relatively strong U.S. economy that he mostly inherited from President Obama – and partly reflecting his continued subservience to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Trump did NOT inherit "...relatively strong U.S. economy" from President Obama; look at all the corporate bankruptcies which have happened in 2016, and 2017, to begin to comprehend the problems with the US economy, which have seen massive Federal and personal debt increase, coupled with the steady outsourcing/offshoring of jobs which used to be the mainstay of the American middle class.

But the rest of the article is absolutely correct, in pointing out President Trump's embracing everything that has failed, spectacularly, with US foreign policy under Bush's and Obama's regimes.

And it appears he is about to double down with North Korea, Iran, and perhaps even Venezuela.

IF, in fact, the US government goes to war against both North Korea and Iran, and choses to fire the first shot, we may well see China defending North Korea, and Russia defending Iran, militarily.

I wish someone who has the President's ear, other than the official triumverate of Mc Master, Kelly, and Mattis, would politely inform President Trump that the US military does not have the money; the manufacturing; the weaponry; or the troop strength to positively militarily engage either country at this point.

After a show of force in Syria, Russia has other countries clamoring for their weapons, because they work as advertised; most American weapons, unfortunately, do not.

Need I remind you of the utter fluster cluck and debacle which is the Lockheed Martin's F-35, which has cost taxpayers billions, but still cannot perform to speck, and may take billions more to ever fix?!?

I rest my case.

DHS PAYS POLICE MILLIONS TO TICKET AND PROSECUTE MOTORISTS

It used to be the DOJ, COPS, NHTSA and the USDOT were responsible for paying police to ticket motorists.

In the past few years, things have taken a turn for the worse. It now appears that DHS has become the largest cash provider for police departments.

What does that mean for motorists?

It means more tickets.

A recent article in the Knoxville News Sentinel, reveals that the Blount County Sheriff's Office received $91,488 from DHS to create 'specialized enforcement' on The Dragon, a section of U.S. Highway 129 near the North Carolina state line.

Another article in the Tennessean revealed how DHS is giving prosecutors millions to target motorists.

"State Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner David Purkey was joined by Vic Donoho, director of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, in Dickson on Aug. 30 as one part of a four-city, statewide tour Wednesday to announce $19 million in federal grants for programs to reduce road fatalities."

Webmaster's Commentary:

When citations become revenue generators for cities and states, expect them to increase exponentially from now on.

In light of the fact that Mike and I are driving an 18 year old crudmobile, we tend to treat it very gently, and generally drive very conservatively.

But for those out there driving in states where a radar detector is legal to use, it might not be a bad investment right now.

U.S. DEFENSE SECRETARY JIM MATTIS WEIGHS USING “KINETIC WEAPON” ON NORTH KOREA

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis hinted at using a kinetic weapon on Tuesday while discussing tensions with North Korea when he made a Freudian slip.

Mattis was asked whether there was “any military option the US can take with North Korea that would not put Seoul at grave risk,” Mattis responded, “Yes, there are, but I will not go into details.”

Later during the press conference, another reporter questioned Mattis and caught him off-guard:

“Just to clarify, you said that there were possible military options that would not create a grave risk to Seoul,” a reporter asked. “Are we talking kinetic options as well?”

“Yes, I don’t want to go into that,” Mattis responded.

Previously, Mattis stated that a war with North Korea would “involve the massive shelling of an ally’s capital, (South Korea) which is one of the most densely packed cities on earth.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

But can this weapon prevent the deployment of heavy conventional artillery, as is commonly known to be dispersed in bunkers all over North Korea, and aimed at South Korea?!?

That is a question I wish some reporter would ask Sec-Def Mattis, and soon.

Nestlé Makes Billions Bottling Water It Pays Nearly Nothing For

Last year, U.S. bottled water sales reached $16 billion, up nearly 10 percent from 2015, according to Beverage Marketing Corp. They outpaced soda sales for the first time as drinkers continue to seek convenience and healthier options and worry about the safety of tap water after the high-profile contamination in Flint, Mich., about a two-hour drive from Mecosta. Nestlé alone sold $7.7 billion worth worldwide, with more than $343 million of it coming from Michigan, where the company bottles Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water and Pure Life, its purified water line.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This thievery of what should be clean, public resources for water, should be criminal, and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Unfortunately with Nestle, which I am sure has a thoroughly deserved reputation for buying local and federal politicians, in order to bend them to their corporate agendas, that may well happen only when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

IT HAS STARTED: CREEPING GLOBAL DE-DOLLARIZATION

The issue of when a global reserve currency begins or ends is not an exact science. There are no press releases announcing it, and neither are there big international conferences that end with the signing of treaties and a photo shoot. Nevertheless we can say with confidence that the reign of every world reserve currency has to come to and end at some point in time. During a changeover from one global currency to another, gold (and to a lesser extent silver) has always played a decisive role. Central banks and governments have long been aware that the dollar has a sell-by date as a reserve currency. But it has taken until now for the subject to be discussed openly. The fact that the issue has been on the radar of a powerful bank like JP Morgan for at least five years, should give one pause. Questions regarding the global reserve currency are not exactly discussed on CNBC every day. Most mainstream economists avoid the topic like the plague. The issue is too politically charged.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With the BRIC nations bypassing the dollar completely in their trade, we are seeing the wheels starting to come off the car represented by the petrodollar, and with amazing rapidity.

23 Countries Now Abandoning US Dollar

Picking up some gold and silver (for its melt value, not numismatic value), if at all possible, may not be a bad thing right now.

Karl Marx was right on at least one thing; all wars are economic in origin.

They have stopped using the US dollar in international trading.

SCIENCE FOR SALE: SHOCKING EMAILS REVEAL EDITOR OF FOOD SCIENCE JOURNAL WAS ON MONSANTO’S PAYROLL AT $400 PER HOUR

(Natural News) Recently released court documents reveal what many people have long suspected: Monsanto had a hand in the retraction of a groundbreaking study that left little doubt about the dangers of glyphosate in a prominent food science journal.

Monsanto will do anything to protect the reputation of Roundup and its other herbicide products – which earned them $1.9 billion in gross profits in 2015 alone – and that includes silencing their detractors.

It has now emerged that the Editor in Chief of the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology who oversaw the famous study’s retraction was on Monsanto’s payroll. This is a conflict of interest at best, and possibly something far more underhanded, and they might have gotten away with it had their lawyers succeeded in preventing their internal documents from being released in a class action lawsuit filed against the firm by cancer patients.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One of the most horrific, immoral actions on behalf of scientists is science for sale, to endorse anything for a buck. This includes vaccines, or alleged

To create better health for yourself, and those you care about, please ignore, don't buy, and don't eat, GMO food, as though it were the plague.

Talk to the manager of your local big-box store, or your market, and let them know that you are willing to pay more to insure the food you are eating is GMO free, or that you will change where you go to buy your groceries if the store will not offer gmo-free food.

Loss of revenue is something these stores do not want to see happen; if enough of us have that conversation with these mangers, our ability to get GMO free food will be greater.

LOVING OUR DEBT-SERFDOM: OUR NEOFEUDAL STATUS QUO

Democracy (i.e. political influence) and ownership of productive assets are the exclusive domains of the New Aristocracy.

I have often used the words neoliberal, neocolonial and neofeudal to describe our socio-economic-political status quo. Here are my shorthand descriptions of each term:

1. Neoliberal: the commoditization / financialization of every asset, input (such as labor) and output of the economy; the privatization of the public commons, and the maximizing of private profits while costs and losses are socialized, i.e. transferred to the taxpayers.

2. Neocolonial: the exploitation of the domestic populace using the same debt-servitude model used to subjugate, control and extract profits from overseas populations.

3. Neofeudal: the indenturing of the workforce via debt and financial repression to a new Aristocracy; the disempowerment of the workforce into powerless debt-serfs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

After the deaths and maimings for life of so many of our brave military service people in Iraq and Afganinstan, ultimately for control of the oil pipelines and mineral resources of these countries, and my nacent, dawning understanding of Karl Marx's statement that "all wars are economic in nature", I can no longer buy into anything the corporate presstitutes are saying. They may get the weather correctly, but even that can be problematic.

The Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled State of America has never been a true meritocracy; it has always been about power, money, and influence, of which I have precious little.

But I have never bought into victimhood or identity politics, which I think, has been a reasonbly healthy way in which to behave. As a 68 year old, still working woman, an equity feminist, and a published composer, I appreciate what I can still bring to the table, in terms of both art and business.

I will not be defined by a corpratocracy which may dictate that I am "over the hill". You would never hear that from the clients for whom I do marketing!! :-)

Cops Kidnap 8yo Boy for Acting Out in School, Put Him in Restraints, Force Inject Him with Sedatives

In a police state, innocent 8-year-old boys with severe learning disabilities and diagnosed behavioral issues are not safe from the violent hand of the state’s enforcers. A mother has learned the hard way just how unsafe a child can be when the state gets involved after her 8-year-old son was kidnapped by police, put in restraints, and forcefully injected with a sedative after acting out on his first day of school.

Debbie Kiroff is now looking for answers after her son endured horrific abuse at the hands of those who claim to protect.

Among hundreds in alternative media, I’ve documented tragic-comic crisis actors used by the US .01% illegal rogue state empire to manipulate policies for war and gun confiscation (here, here, here), and contributed to the body of evidence that Sandy Hook was a false flag operation for gun confiscation.

Our government’s attempt at gun confiscation was the issue that sparked the American Revolution.

Trump Gives CIA More Autonomy on Drone Strikes

Stupid is as Stupid does!

In this case, Trump told CIA Director Mike Pompeo and other officials that he wants an even more aggressive drone posture from the CIA, and granted them broad autonomy in who to kill and when. This included allowing CIA strikes in Syria, something which heretofore hadn’t been mentioned.

Trump Vomits Hatred All Over The United Nations General Assembly

Does anyone believe that Trump wrote this speech or any other speech for that matter? Trump is a ventriloquist dummy, delivering words scripted by the military industrial complex. It is difficult to imagine how far we have fallen when the president of our nation threatens to savage and destroy 24 million people and the UN applauds this ignorant savage. We should all be appalled and ashamed as our country slips further into fascism. Tom Feeley

Professors told to report students who make campus ‘less inclusive’ to Behavior Assessment Team

As colleges across the country struggle with questions related to free speech on campuses, some schools have implemented policies that appear to give administrators significant latitude to discipline students for speaking in unpopular ways.

Most recently, the dean’s office of Utah Valley University, a public institution located in the north-central part of Utah, distributed a guidance letter to all faculty encouraging them to report to the school’s Behavior Assessment Team any students who use “inappropriate language,” are “argumentative,” or who speak “loudly.”

Manafort Calls On DOJ To Release His Intercepted Phone Calls; Demands Investigation Of Leaks

Less than 24 hours after CNN triggered the latest outbreak of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' by relaying information from anonymous sources that Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manfort has been under surveillance by the FBI since 2014, Manafort has fired back by calling on the Department of Justice to release all transcripts of his tapped phone calls so that the American public "can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ — there is nothing there." Per the Daily Caller:

Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is calling on the Justice Department to release transcripts of any intercepted communications he may have had with foreigners.

Manafort, a longtime Republican political consultant, also called on the Justice Department’s inspector general to investigate the leak of details of secret surveillance warrants obtained by U.S. investigators.

F-35 Ejection Seat to Kill, Wound 22 US Pilots - Government Watchdog

The F-35 Joint Program Office has skimped out on spending a few million dollars to conduct more thorough testing of the fifth-generation plane’s potentially lethally flawed ejection seat despite its generous $400 billion budget.

Given how much flight time the US military plans to use the F-35 for, 22 pilots are projected to suffer injuries or be killed over the lifetime of the plane’s use because of insufficient testing, according to the report first obtained by CQ Roll Call.

The internal report created by the Technical Airworthiness Authority said the failure to implement extra safety tests is bound to prove “catastrophic,” the Stripes report states. “No less than $1 million” and 9 to 12 months of testing could lower the risk of pilot injury or death from 22 to zero, TAA said in its report dated May 1.

Strongest attacks on Syrian Army come from where opposition & US forces stationed – Russian MoD

The Syrian Army liberating the Deir ez-Zor region from terrorists is facing strong resistance and massive fire from areas where armed opposition groups and US forces are stationed, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Syrian Army continues to liberate the Euphrates valley to the east of Deir ez-Zor with the help of the Russian Air Force, the statement from the ministry says, adding that the government forces have already retaken more than 60 square kilometers on the left bank of the Euphrates from Islamic State (IS, former ISIS/ISIL).

The Syrian Army, however, faces resistance not only from jihadists, but also apparently from US-backed armed opposition groups, according to the statement

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unless the US and jihadist forces fall back, this could get ugly in a heartbeat.

Russian Collusion: Hillary Clinton Invited Vladimir Putin To “Pay For Play” Event -Mac Slavo

In newly released emails which the mainstream media is willfully ignoring, Hillary Clinton invited Russian president Vladimir Putin to a Clinton Foundation event. The Russian collusion between Hillary Clinton is becoming very apparent.

Hillary Clinton likes to talk a tough game about Russian President Vladimir Putin. And she likes to put him on the list of those at fault for her loss in the election last November to Donald Trump. But that didn’t stop her from inviting him and other top Russian officials to a Clinton Foundation gala right after she became Secretary of State.

Clinton Foundation director of foreign policy Amitabh Desai sent dozens of invitations to world leaders including then-Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and Former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, emails recently obtained by Judicial Watch revealed.

Putin Orders End To US Dollar Trade At Russian Seaports

Whether in response to rising scorching tensions with the US, or simply to provide support for the ruble, on Tuesday Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to approve legislation making the ruble the main currency of exchange at all Russian seaports by next year, RT reported citing the Kremlin website.

The head of Russian antitrust watchdog FAS Igor Artemyev, many services in Russian seaports are still priced in US dollars, even though such ports are state-owned. So, in order to "protect the interests" of dockworkers and their complyees with foreign currency obligations, the government was instructed to set a transition period before switching to ruble settlements.

Dangerous Words of Escalation: Trump Threatens to Abandon Iran’s Nuclear Deal as Israeli Officials Call for Action Against Iran

Once again, the annual United Nations General Assembly is taking place in New York City with U.S. President Donald Trump set to take center stage as he is expected to focus on the North Korean Crisis and the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

As the Western media’s attention has been focused on the North Korea crisis (which is also another very serious matter), another development has been taking place in Tel Aviv, as calls for action by Israeli officials against Iran’s Nuclear Program although it’s not a new development (it’s been going on for many years). Channel 2 on Israeli TV reported that Mossad chief Yossi Cohen is calling on the Israeli government to take action against the Iranian government. The Times of Israel reported that

“Channel 2 on Sunday paraphrased Cohen as asserting that “Today’s Iran is the North Korea of yesterday, and so we need to act now so that we don’t wake up to [an Iranian] bomb.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely point out that Israel was not a signatory to the P5+1, therefore has utterly no business in attempting to get the US from walking away from this treaty.

I would also like to politely point out that Iran has signed the NNPT: Israel has not.

I would also like to politely point out that Iran hasn't started a war in over 200 years.

IF President Trump has any horse-sense left, he will not allow Netanyahu to "charm" him into another Middle Eastern war, where the outcomes of US military intervention have not quite been stellar; think Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, and Syria, and you will catch my drift.

IF both Israel and Saudi Arabia believe that a war against Iran is in their best interests, as both consider Iran their "existential enemy", let them fight it; such a war is definitely NOT in the interests of We the People, and I do hope President Trump understands this.

US Is Sending Another Aircraft Carrier To Korea: Yonhap

After carrying out bombing drills over the Korean peninsula on Monday following North Korea’s firing of an intermediate-range missile over the Japanese island of Hokkaido, US and South Korean forces are planning to continue their displays of military might early next month, according to a report from Yonhap, the South Korean news agency. However, in a move that is sure to provoke a barrage of threats from North Korea, the US is reportedly sending a nuclear-armed aircraft carrier to the waters off the Korean peninsula, where it will take part in an upcoming round of military drills.

Earlier this year, the US sent three aircraft carriers to waters near North Korea in an unprecedented show of force. However, it's unclear if any of those carriers are still positioned so closely to the peninsula. Here's the latest map of US naval strike groups, which was compiled by Stratfor using publicly-available information. Deployments considered "sensitive" would not be included on this map.

War With North Korea Starts to Look Inevitable

We have pretty much exhausted all the things that we could do at the Security Council at this point,” said Nikki Haley on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, referring to North Korea. “We wanted to be responsible and go through all diplomatic means to get their attention first,” the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said. “If that doesn’t work, General Mattis [Defense Secretary James Mattis] will take care of it.”
The comments, no off-the-cuff remarks, mirrored her words at a White House press briefing Friday, and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, standing next to Haley at that briefing, was even more explicit. “I think we ought to make clear what’s different about this approach is, is that we’re out of time,” he noted, referring to sanctions. “As Ambassador Haley said before, we’ve been kicking the can down the road, and we’re out of road.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I was amazingly, horrifically stunned by President Trump's address at the UN today.

He has come as near to publicly declaring war against North Korea as one can without actually declaring war against it.

Kim Jung Un saw what happened when Iraq and Libya denuclearized; there was regime change, coupled with grisly assassinations of their heads of state; he knows, because of what the US has done before (sometimes backed by the UN and/or NATO) that if he denuclearizes before sitting down for negotiations, the precise, same fate awaits him.

And if the US fires first, China has publicly stated that they will stand with North Korea, militarily. This means we are most probably likely to see a false flag blamed on North Korea, as the "justification" for a war against it.

Mike and I live on a first strike target here on Oahu, which the Chinese military can actually accurately hit, which makes us more than a little nervous.

The only thing I can tell our readers right now is, please make sure your prep plans are fulfilled; make sure that you have food, potable water, and medications on hand for you, your family, and your pets. Make sure you have a plan to regroup, if you are separated. Have a bug-out kit close to hand.

And if you are of a mind to do so, please pray, that somehow, the catastrophe such a war will bring to the world can be averted.

Syrian army sends more troops across Euphrates, near U.S.-backed forces

Syrian troops crossed to the eastern side of the Euphrates in Deir al-Zor on Monday, state media and a monitoring group said, increasing their presence in an area where U.S.-backed militias have also advanced.

The rival forces are conducting offensives against Islamic State and have generally stayed out of each other’s way, with the river often acting as a dividing line.

However, incidents this year have raised tension between the government side, backed by Russia, and the U.S.-backed forces.

Unless there are some high level back channel negotiations between US and Russian diplomats, this could get very ugly very quickly

Netanyahu Is Meeting Trump To Push For War With Iran

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Donald Trump at the White House and push the U.S. to withdraw from the nuclear accord with Iran. Netanyahu will present an argument that Trump already has come to accept: America’s adherence to the nuclear deal cannot solely depend on Iran’s compliance with the agreement, but also whether Iran’s other policies challenge US national interests. It’s a more honest argument compared to the slogans Netanyahu has used in the past. But it is also a line that fundamentally contradicts Netanyahu’s central message of the past decades: That Iran’s nuclear program constitutes an existential threat to Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please on this issue; should you go back on this P5+1 agreement, you will telegraph to the world that the US is incapable of keeping its treaties and promises, and will walk away from them whenever said treaties are "inconvenient" to US hegemony.

And just which of Iran's policies in the region are an anathema to US national security interests?!?

Can you possibly, please, explain what you mean by this, because if you are taking the American people to war against Iran, the American people have the absolute right to understand why.

OK, Iran is developing better ballistic missiles: but these were never a part of the P5+1 agreement in the first place; and with Israel and the US breathing down Iran's neck, threatening war at least every other Tuedsay, can you blame them for wanting some decent defense capabilities?

No thinking, reasonable person possibly could.

Listen, we know your BFFs in the Middle East are cheerleading you on starting a war against Iran. Both Prince Salman and Prime Minister Netanyahu have been uofficial "president whisperers" in this regard.

But this could turn out to be an absolute nightmare for the OSUSSA (the curent state of this nation, which can most honestly be described as the Occupied Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika.) And here is why.

Russian political and military figures have stated, publicly, that should Iran be attacked, they will come to its aid militarily.

Have McMaster, Kelly, and Mattis told you this?!? Because, Mr. President, it is bloody well time someone did.

Mr. President, we don't have the money, the troop stregth, the manufacturing, or the weaponry to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia in Iran; it is just that simple.

And what, precisely, will Prince Salman and Netanyahu give you to win this war?!? How many troops, and how much military equipment have they committed?!? My deep concern here, Mr. President, is that they will expect the US military to do most of the heavy lifting, but will expect the costs in blood and money, to be borne primarily by this country.

To all the Alphabet Soup agencies reading this site: I care about my country very deeply; and until it becomes illegal to do so, I will comment on the ways in which I believe it is moving in the wrong direction.

As you understand, I am a Christian pacifist activist, who never advocates, or condones violence, which means that I am constantly exorting this government to resolve its geopolitical differences with other countries in ways other than through wars.

A war with Iran may be believed to be in the best interests of both the Saudi Arabian and Israeli leadership; but with all the domestic and financial problems facing this country, a war against Iran, which may well translate into a war with Russia, is absoflippinglutely NOT in the interests of this country's people at all.

To the Iranian bloggers who read this site (I don't know if there is a mirror in Farsi, but understand there may be): thinking Americans who understand your history, and particularly your 20th century history), do not want to see war against Iran. Unlike Israel, you have a Constitution; are a signatory to the NNPT (which Israel is not); and your religious minorities are protected under your Constitution.

In sum total, Mr. President, a war with Iran is an horrifically bad idea, no matter how much Prince Salman and Prime Minister Netanyahu have been rooting for the OUSSA to do this.

ISRAEL AND US OPEN FIRST AMERICAN MILITARY BASE IN ISRAEL

Israel and the U.S. inaugurated the first American military base on Israeli soil on Monday, which will serve dozens of soldiers operating a missile defense system.

The move comes at a time of growing Israeli concerns about archenemy Iran's development of long-range missiles. Together with the U.S., Israel has developed a multilayered system of defenses against everything from long-range guided missile attacks from Iran to crude rockets fired from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The base's opening is largely symbolic and isn't expected to bring operational changes. But the Israeli military says that along with other measures, it sends a message of readiness to Israel's enemies.

"It's a message that says Israel is better prepared. It's a message that says Israel is improving the response to threats," said Brig. Gen. Zvika Haimovich, the commander of Israel's aerial defense.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although this didn't make it to the presstitute corporate news outlets in this country, this base makes a joint Israeli/US strike against Iran far more potentially feasible, and nearer in schedule than it might have been before.

Google and Sex Traffickers Like Backpage.com

Sex traffickers in America have the police and prosecutors pursuing them, but they do have one crucial (if secret) ally: Google.

Google’s motto has long been “Don’t be evil,” and I admire lots about the company. But organizations it funds have for years been quietly helping Backpage.com, the odious website where most American victims of human trafficking are sold, to battle lawsuits from children sold there for sex.

Now Google is using its enormous lobbying power in Washington to try to kill bipartisan legislation that would crack down on websites that promote sex trafficking.

It’s not that Google is taking ads from Backpage (it doesn’t) or giving it money. But as Backpage fights off prosecutors and worries about the legislation, the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act, Google has emerged as its behind-the-scenes champion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, Google; now is the time to walk your talk, and don't be evil; support this bill!!

US-Kiev rejection of Russian initiative proves more war in store for Donbass —

Ukraine’s and the United States’ refusal to work on the text of Russia’s draft resolution on deploying a UN contingent in Donbass to ensure security of the OSCE mission reveals their real plans to realize a kind of the Croatian scenario, Denis Pushilin, the chief negotiator for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic at the pace talks in Minsk, said on Monday.

"Ukraine’s and the United States’ refusal to work on the text of the Russia-initiated draft resolution on a UN mission in Donbass reveals the real motives of the Western partners. Such actions openly show what [Ukrainian President] Pyotr Poroshenko and his American friends really want," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At this moment in its history, the government of the Occupied, Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika, appears to be pathologically incabable of resolving its geopolitical differences in any way other than war.

The country I thought I knew, as a kid growing up, seemed to be much more intellectually, and morally capable of getting its way through hard-won, intelligent negotiations; but perhaps I was just fooling myself in that assessment, even back then.

Rosneft to reach gas pipeline deal with Iraqi Kurdistan

Agreement on setting up the natural gas pipeline infrastructure for Iraqi Kurdistan may be sealed between Rosneft and the region’s government by the end of the year, according to the company.

Investment in the project will be made under the BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) arrangement and will be recovered through tariff charges.

The capacity of the pipeline is expected at up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

"The Kurdistan Region gas pipeline will not only supply natural gas to power plants and domestic factories throughout the region but also enable exporting substantial volumes of fuel to Turkey and the European market in the coming years," said the report.

Commissioning of the pipeline and the first domestic supplies are planned for 2019. Exports will begin starting 2020.

So, Russia also benefits economically from the establishment of an indepentent Kurdistan.

ENTIRE VOLUME OF CIA FILES ON LEE HARVEY OSWALD, SET TO BE RELEASED IN OCTOBER, HAS ‘GONE MISSING’

Countless concerned individuals are still searching for answers surrounding the mysterious death of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. The official narrative, that a lone former Marine named Harvey Oswald assassinated him, is widely disputed.

All available documents from all government entities are required by the Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 to be released on October 26th of 2017. IN FLORIDA, YOU CAN’T USE YOUR OWN SOLAR PANELS IN A CRISIS

When it comes to the U.S. economy, the “con” part offers the best description of the current relationship between business, government and the preyed upon consumer. The way things work in early 21st century America is large businesses bribe politicians in a variety of ways at both the local and federal level, and the end result is laws that are designed to increase corporate profits at the expense of the wellbeing and freedom of the American public. Politicians end up with financial war chests to run their next campaign, while bureaucrats see a lucrative opportunity to swing through the ever spinning revolving door should they play ball with lobbyists and their patrons. Yes, there’s always some degree of corruption within any society of humans, but there are peaks and valleys in such cycles. I’d argue we are somewhere in the peak corruption phase.

‘GM seed choice shouldn’t be dictated’: Italian farmers question EU court ruling on Monsanto corn

Not all Italian farmers welcome a European court ruling this week allowing growers to cultivate genetically-modified corn in Italy. Some farmers told RT that the majority reject GM seeds and question the EU interfering in national laws.

The European Court of Justice on Wednesday ruled in favor of Giorgio Fidenato, an Italian activist farmer who faces fines for growing genetically-modified maize MON 810 on his land in 2014, despite a 2013 government decree banning its cultivation.

Never Forget: The US Government Has A Known History Of Using False Flags

This tradition of using lies to rally the unwashed masses behind military endeavors on behalf of the rich and powerful has probably been going on since the dawn of civilization, and it is only humanity’s increasing adeptness at networking and sharing information which has enabled us to begin catching on to the deceitful manipulations of the people who rule us. Our history books are doubtless riddled with countless inaccuracies as to the real reasons underlying violent conflicts between various kingdoms and factions, because the few literate people who were permitted to write the official historic accounts of them had full control of the narrative at the time.

DEFENSE CONTRACTORS ON CLOUD 9

The Senate is expected to pass by a wide margin a $700-billion defense bill today. When it comes to extravagant military spending, Congress is relentlessly bipartisan, and all bickering stops, as long as the bacon gets spread to every district and state.

“The 1,215-page measure defies a number of White House objections, but Trump hasn’t threatened to veto the measure,” the Washington Post mused. “The bill helps him honor a pledge to boost military spending by tens of billions of dollars.”

So who gets this money?

It’s going to get spread around, but defense contractors are going to get a chunk of it, and they’ve been on cloud 9 all year. Their shares – fired up by plenty of saber-rattling – have mostly soared from all-time high to all-time high.

These are some of the biggest defense contractors and their shares year-to-date as of this morning:

Fires blaze out of control in the Western US, while floods and storms ravage the South and West because the American infrastructure has been allowed to rot; homeless Vets sleep rough in our streets; homelessness and disease ravage this country; our alleged education system is simply a system of inidoctrination only; and jobs continue to be offshored and outsourced, destroying what was left of the middle class.

So do not believe, for one moment, that your "alleged Congressional Representatives" really represent you; at this point in this country's history, they represent only the interests of those corporations like those corporations named above, and this budget is to keep them financially flush, and well fed, just as they keep overt and covert campaign contributions "flowing" to the members of Congress who approve budgets like this.

FREEDOM IS A MYTH: WE ARE ALL PRISONERS OF THE POLICE STATE’S PANOPTICON VILLAGE

First broadcast in Great Britain 50 years ago, The Prisoner—a dystopian television series described as “James Bond meets George Orwell filtered through Franz Kafka”—confronted societal themes that are still relevant today: the rise of a police state, the freedom of the individual, round-the-clock surveillance, the corruption of government, totalitarianism, weaponization, group think, mass marketing, and the tendency of humankind to meekly accept their lot in life as a prisoner in a prison of their own making.

Perhaps the best visual debate ever on individuality and freedom, The Prisoner (17 episodes in all) centers around a British secret agent who abruptly resigns only to find himself imprisoned, monitored by militarized drones, and interrogated in a mysterious, self-contained, cosmopolitan, seemingly tranquil retirement community known only as the Village. The Village is an idyllic setting with parks and green fields, recreational activities and even a butler.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This scenario has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it?!?

Because post 9/11, any attempt - even the most peaceful - to relay the truth about what is happening with our country, our world, and the potential future of freedom is repressed, digitized, surveilled, and severely culled by those in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged Surveilled States of of Amerika.

Yes, I am a Christian pacifist activist who consistently exhorts her country's government to achieve its geopolitical objectives through hard-won, honest, moral negotiations, rather than through war.

For that, I get thoroughly criticised, ignored and shunned.

And yet, I have to believe that there will be a point in this country's future, when war has proven a desolate, bitter, and horrific disappointment, as a means to an end, when my gentle, reasonable voice may yet still be heard.

And that is why I keep posting, because I do care about the future of this country and the that of the world.

We have some wonderful extended family, with three grand nephews and one grand niece, so I have to keep thinking; what kind of a world will my, and our, choices leave them?!?

Will it be a place of plenty; of health; enjoying the benefits of science and technology, and will it be a place where one has the freedom to speak one's mind, where love abounds??

Or will the world we leave them a completely dystopian replica of "1984", with "thought Police", reading those "double ungood thoughts", and proscribing drugs, torture, or something even worse, to get rid of them?!?

First they came for the Nazis and pedophiles…

I have to begin this analysis by asking for your understanding for the fact that it will include a lot of full-length quotes. Under normal circumstances, I would have simply provided links, but considering the topic I will be discussing, and how some things suddenly “disappear” on the Internet, full-length quotes is probably the best option. The topic I want to deal with is the brutal crackdown on free speech by the AngloZionist Empire by means of its ‘loyal corporations’.

Mo Mana, Mo Problems: Mueller Reportedly Plans To Indict Manafort

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team reportedly advised former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort that they plan to indict him after a July raid of his home in Alexandria, Va.

The New York Times reports that prosecutors and investigators under Mueller’s command warned Manafort that they plan to bring an indictment against him to a grand jury. The report is sourced to two individuals close to the investigation. Though The Times is not specific as to the nature of the charges, Manafort is under investigation for possible violations of tax laws and failure to abide by disclosure requirements relating to his lobbying work for Kremlin-aligned governments in eastern Europe.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It will be interesting to see to what level Manafort will be the "Sacrificial Lamb" in these investigations.

And yet... no forensic accounting investigations into Clinton Foundation; I would suspect that this will never happen.
