Group wants to raise awareness of historic Ala Loa Trail

“We want to bring awareness to the Ala Loa and to the fact that it is our legal right to be walking on that trail,” she said. “We had people threatened because they were going to go down spearfishing like their father and grandfathers before them, or people that tried to access the trail to pick the limu. It started happening more frequently with everyone.”

The Media Is Now The Political Opposition

Maybe Trump will add to his agenda breaking into hundreds of pieces the six mega-media companies that own 90% of the US media.

Bannon is correct that the US media—indeed, the entire Western print and TV media—is nothing but a propaganda machine for the ruling elite. The presstitutes are devoid of integrity, moral conscience, and respect for truth. Read the comments in which morons define freedom of the press as the freedom to lie to the public.

PROTESTERS PLOT "BORDER WALL" RALLY FOR TOMORROW...AT ZUCKERBERG'S SPRAWLING $100MM HAWAIIAN ESTATE

Back in 2014 Mark Zuckerberg paid $100 million to purchase 700 acres of beachfront property on the North Shore of Kauai. The estate includes 1,000's of feet of pristine shoreline providing the perfect "safe space" for the 30-year-old Silicon Valley Billionaire and his family.

Unfortunately, there was just one little problem with the purchase...technically the sellers didn't own the title to all of that land due to the so-called Kuleana Act, a Hawaiian law established in 1850 that for the first time gave natives the right to own the land that they lived on.

So now, according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser, the Facebook billionaire sued a few hundred Hawaiians who still have legal-ownership claims to parts of his vacation estate through their ancestors. Per Yahoo Finance:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Zuckerberg has demonstrated, clearly, that he is as tone-deaf to Indigenous Hawaiian rights as he is to information which does not support his and the Democrats' agenda.

Protesters Plot "Border Wall" Rally For Tomorrow...At Zuckerberg's Sprawling $100mm Hawaiian Estate

“People are furious down here with him,” Hart, a local farmer told Business Insider. “We just want to bring this issue to light. He’s made his money stealing everyone’s information, which we’ve let him do, but to come down here and start suing everyone, that’s not going to fly down here.”

Mark Zuckerberg is dropping his Hawaiian land lawsuits, calling them ‘a mistake’

In an op-ed published in a local Kauai newspaper Friday, Zuckerberg backed away from that plan and called the decision to file these lawsuits “a mistake.”

“Upon reflection, I regret that I did not take the time to fully understand the quiet title process and its history before we moved ahead,” he wrote. “Now that I understand the issues better, it's clear we made a mistake. We will continue to speak with community leaders that represent different groups, including native Hawaiians and environmentalists, to find the best path.”

It’s unclear what that process will look like.

Zuckerberg acquired the land as a personal home, but also because he says he cares about preserving the environment and local wildlife. Local Hawaiians aren’t thrilled with Zuckerberg’s plan, and hundreds were planning to march this weekend in protest of Zuckerberg and his private residence, according to Business Insider.

America Has A Moral Obligation To Help Rebuild The Ravaged Middle East

“Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none” - Thomas Jefferson

It is unfortunately incumbent upon the new administration to also pay the proverbial bill, and to fix and rectify the mistakes of the past.

It would be altogether grossly irresponsible and cruel to now leave the entire world in smoke and shambles, burning embers of once great civilizations that have often existed for thousands of years uninterrupted and unmolested.

Trump’s First Big Mistake – Justin Raimondo

Syrian “safe zones”: a disaster waiting to happen

This idea is a disaster waiting to happen, and could augur the unraveling of the President’s “America First” foreign policy, which supposedly abjures regime change operations in the Middle East and elsewhere. In 2013 testimony submitted to Congress by then chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey, the reality of what this would have to mean was outlined:

“Thousands of U.S. ground forces would be needed, even if positioned outside Syria, to support those physically defending the zones. A limited no-fly zone coupled with US ground forces would push the costs over one billion dollars per month.”

Trump signs five more orders on pipelines, steel and environment

"This is about streamlining the incredibly cumbersome, long, horrible, permitting process"

President Trump signed five more executive actions Tuesday in a blitz of executive power meant to speed approvals of high-profile energy and infrastructure projects, including two controversial pipeline projects in the upper Midwest.

Trump signed two presidential memoranda intended to expedite the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, but also signed three more longer-term and sweeping directives requiring American-made steel and changing the process of approving and regulating future pipeline and infrastructure projects.

From Yin to Yang – Pussy Riot–3, in Washington

The ascent of Donald Trump is more than a change of tenant of the White House on 1600, Pennsylvania Ave. It is a momentous swing from Yin to Yang, from dark feminine to bright masculine paradigm, from Cybele to Christ. Tremendous resistance to the regime change proves its unique importance.

Pussy Riot–3, in Washington, another obscene attempt to use women and their bodies for political and religious anti-Christian purposes.

If you prefer a more up-to-date comparison, this is a new Pussy Riot. Perhaps you remember there was a Russian group of that name. They were anti-Putin like the American lot is anti-Trump; they blasphemed like their American counterparts; they were guided and supported by Louise “Madonna” Ciccone, who starred in Washington threatening to blow up the White House.

Trump’s Inaugural Address Was Like No Other in History

He is rich enough, and independent enough, and cantankerous enough that he may not get stuck in the swamps of political compromise.

Donald Trump’s inaugural address is going to go down in history as one of the great ones.I say this as a man with 59 years of public speaking experience and a Ph.D. in American history.

Trump’s speech was different from any previous inaugural address. He spoke directly to his political base. He did not try to pull the country together in some kind of vague, pie-in-the-sky, common-ground political rhetoric. He threw down the gauntlet from the very beginning. Standing in front of the Capitol building, surrounded by former Presidents and politicians, he said that everything they had done in the past has been a way to extract power from the American people and to feather their own nests. This, of course, is exactly what they have done. Nobody had ever said this before in an inaugural address.

MARK ZUCKERBERG SUES HUNDREDS OF HAWAII FAMILIES TO FORCE THEM TO SELL THEIR LAND

Suit an attempt to make his 700-acre beachfront estate more private, according to reports. Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly suing Hawaiian families who have ancestral rights to land within his $100 million (£81.2 million) property in a bid to force them to sell their plots.

The Facebook founder has launched the legal action in an attempt to make his 700-acre beachfront estate on the Island of Kauai more private.

Under legislation dating back to 1850 known as the Kuleana Act, almost a dozen native families currently have the right to live on small sections of land within the billionaire's property on the island, according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser.

Trump’s Declaration of War – Paul Craig Roberts

If truth can be said, President Trump has declared a war far more dangerous to himself than if he had declared war against Russia or China.

Trump made it abundantly clear that Americans’ enemies are right here at home: globalists, neoliberal economists, neoconservatives and other unilateralists accustomed to imposing the US on the world and involving us in endless and expensive wars, politicians who serve the Ruling Establishment rather than the American people, indeed, the entire canopy of private interests that have run America into the ground while getting rich in the process.

Zuckerberg Sues Hawaiians to Force Sale of Land for His $100 Million Estate

Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg is suing hundreds of native Hawaiians in an attempt to force them to sell plots of land that they have owned for centuries located around Zuckerberg’s 700 acre estate.

Zuckerberg’s estate situated in Kauai is worth over $100 million, but a few small plots of land situated on the property belong to Hawaiian citizens who received the land due to legislation called the Kuleana Act which was introduced after Hawaii’s 1848 Great Mahele, a land redistribution decision that enabled private ownership of land by Hawaiian citizens.

What this means is that the Hawaiian citizens that own the land are free to walk through Zuckerberg’s estate. This has led to Zuckerberg choosing to sue the landowners in an attempt to force them to sell their property.

Mark Zuckerberg sues to protect HIS privacy: Facebook CEO in legal battle to force hundreds of native Hawaiians who have ancestral rights to patches of his vast $100m estate to sell up

Mark Zuckerberg is suing Hawaiian families in an attempt to get them to sell their land to make his 700-acre property more secluded, a Honolulu newspaper reported Wednesday.

Almost a dozen of small parcels on the Facebook co-founder's $100 million Kauai property belong to Hawaiian citizens who acquired them through legislation dating back to 1850, called the Kuleana Act, according to the Star Advertiser.

As such, these land owners are allowed to walk through Zuckerberg's domain. But the billionaire is believed to have filed lawsuits against a few hundred people in the hope that they will sell their parcels at a public auction.

Having a blast: Moment hundreds of tonnes of molten lava spews into the sea in front of stunned tourists on a boat trip

The moment hundreds of tonnes of molten lava spewed from a collapsed volcano and into the sea was captured by a stunned tourist on a boat just yards away.

Trump, Kissinger and Ma playing on a crowded chessboard

Place your bets on who will be the major partner in the Trump, Kissinger and Ma law firm.

Kissinger has drafted a plan to officially recognize Crimea as part of Russia and lift the Obama administration’s economic sanctions.

The plan fits into Kissinger’s overall strategy — call it a traditional British Balance of Power, or Divide and Rule, approach — of breaking up the Eurasian front (Russia-China-Iran) that constitutes the real “threat” to what Mattis defines as the “established world order.”

Lawmaker calls for action after human feces found at Honolulu war memorials

Some are calling a tribute to Hawaii's war dead an embarrassment to the state after a lawmaker found homeless people using Hawaii's Korean and Vietnam War Memorial as an open latrine.

Extending 100 feet, the Korean and Vietnam War Memorial is place of reflection for hundreds of Hawaii's families.

But lately many of the people who visit don't come to pay their respects.

"The homeless are nesting there and defecating there because it provides a degree of concealment," said state Rep. Bob McDermott, whose district includes Ewa Beach.

Can Trump Fix the Economy In 2017?

Dr. Roberts elucidates how Trump can fix the the Economy.

The Establishment Is Trying To Steal The Presidency From Trump And the Liberal-Left Is Helping

Where is the liberal-left’s moral conscience?

The US military, the CIA, and their whores in the US media are undemocratically pursuing their own agenda independent of the policy of the president-elect.

We could dismiss Trump’s admission as throwing a bone to the CIA so they can feel vindicated and get off his back, and the statements by Tillerson and Mattis could be dismissed as what has to be said in order to be confirmed.

US Intel Agencies Try to Strong-Arm Trump Into War with Russia

The big shots who run the country are trying to strong-arm ‘the Donald’ into carrying their water so the depredations can continue...

Powerful elites are using the credibility of the US Intelligence agencies to demonize Russia and prepare the country for war.

Last week’s 25-page report, that was released by the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, illustrates to what extent intelligence is being “fixed around the policy”.

The Intelligence Community has been coerced into compromising its credibility to incite fear of Russia and to advance the geopolitical ambitions of deep state powerbrokers.

Risks and Opportunities for 2017

Just a few days into 2017 and we can already say with a great degree of confidence that 2017 will be a historical year. Furthermore, I submit that 2017 will be the “Year of Trump” because one of roughly three things will happen: either Trump will fully deliver on his threats and promises, or Trump deliver on some, but far from all, his threats and promises or, finally, Trump will be neutralized by the Neocon-run Congress, media, intelligence community. He might even be impeached or murdered.

Of course, there is an infinity of sub-possibilities here, but for the purpose of this discussion I will call the first option “Trump heavy”, the second one “Trump light” and the third one “Trump down”.

Hawaii’s Thirty Meter Telescope Suffers New Legal Setback

On Friday, Hawaii Circuit Court Judge Greg Nakamura ordered a new contested case hearing regarding the University of Hawaii at Hilo's sublease to TMT International Observatory, saying that Hawaii's Board of Land and Natural Resources (BLNR) violated the constitutional rights of resident E. Kalani Flores by approving the sublease without first holding a contested case hearing as requested by Flores in 2014, according to NBC affiliate Hawaii News Now.

"Judge Nakamura's ruling reaffirms our position that the BLNR's actions have failed to protect Native Hawaiian rights and the public's interest in these public lands of Mauna a Wakea," Flores said in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I understand the Native Hawaiians' concerns. And if we were talking about a sewage treatment plant or fertilizer factory I would agree it should go somewhere else.

But here is something to consider. Native Hawaiians view those volcanoes as the home of Madam Pele, who is already wearing a crown of the most amazing jewels science can produce.

But all crowns deserve a crown jewel, a Kohinoor, and the 30 meter telescope represents the finest technological accomplishment that will complement Pele's regalia!

I think Pele herself, being after all a woman, would approve of this added "bling!"

The Neocon’s declaration of war against Trump

This is a political coup d’etat...an attempt at removing Donald Trump from the White House.

Obama’s ‘Farewell To Arms’ As War Presidency Ends

Self-declared liberal Americans consider Bush to be a warmongering disaster, yet somehow they hail Obama as some kind of progressive «peace president».

Eight straight years of warmongering come to an end as US President Barack Obama bows out with his «farewell to the nation» speech this week, as fawning American media dubbed his valediction.

In reality, Obama’s outgoing address should have been billed as a «farewell to arms» made by arguably one of the most belligerent presidents to ever have occupied the White House.

Only in exceptionally delusional America could such a pernicious paradox be presented as something honorable and sentimental.

Two conflicting interpretations are suggested, says Cohen. Either Trump is about to become a potentially seditious American president. Or powerful US forces are trying to destroy his presidency before it begins, perhaps even prevent him from taking office.

The Unethical Tactics Of The Chemical Industry To Silence The Truth

Hawaii is a hot bed for the research and development of new chemically intensive GMOs and they are a testing ground for many experimental chemicals and crops – it is essentially “ground-zero”. Five of the largest chemical companies are suing the counties of Hawaii to keep their testing secret. Much of the work that Hawaii CFS is doing is focusing on the public health impacts of the pesticides and herbicides used on GMOs, and because of this, they are heavily targeted by the biotech companies who are profiting off of these chemicals and technologies. In 2015, over 100 Monsanto employees crashed a CFS presentation in Hawaii in an attempt to intimidate the presenters. This is how biotech operatives operate, and CFS is very aware of their tactics. The people that work with CFS are very well respected and fearless activists in an increasingly aggressive climate.

2016: The Year of Russia’s Triumph – The Saker

2016 has been a fantastic year for Russia. Putin’s policy of slow, low-key and deliberate move and counter-move has proven to be extremely effective.

Just like European maps place Europe in the center of the planet, so do most western commentators look at the past year from a US/Europe-centered perspective. Which is fair enough. Furthermore, the AngloZionist Empire has just suffered two major disasters, the Brexit and the election of Trump.

The credit for the election of Donald Trump goes first and foremost to the American people to whom I sincerely believe the entire planet owe a heartfelt and loud “THANK YOU!!!!!”.

Not only did the British people defy the Empire and vote for a Brexit, but now the Imperial Homeland has “backstabbed” them by electing a patriot who is not interested in maintaining the global empire (or so he says, at least for the time being).

Putin’s Bear to Obama’s Turkey

Putin's stoic statesmanship speaks for itself.

Not for the first time, the contrast in character between Putin and Obama was illustrated in the latest diplomatic spat over alleged Russian hacking.

For one thing, Putin’s gracious magnanimity always in the face of American provocations shows the Russian leader to be a fine statesman and human being; whereas Obama looks like a pathetic, cheap nonentity.

President Putin made a surprise attack:

He said that his government would not take retaliatory measures. Indeed, he went further by offering seasonal goodwill greetings to President Obama, his family and the people of America, as well as repeating invitations to the children of accredited US diplomats in Russia to festivities being held at the Kremlin.

Hawaiian cafe backs down over ban on Trump voters

A business owner who posted a sign on the entrance of his eccentric Italian café in downtown Honolulu banning President Elect Donald Trump supporters, has removed the sign one day after FoxNews.com broke a story about the severe policy.

“If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here! No Nazis,” declared owner Robert Warner on a bright yellow, handmade sign, which he taped to his Café 8/12’s front glass door.

"This is my place and if I don't want to serve a Trump person, I can do that," he told Hawaii News Now on Wednesday, one day after the FoxNews.com report generated thousands of adverse posts in the story comment section as well as on Yelp, Twitter and Facebook.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Too late. I'm not in a forgiving mood right now. That sign on the door was not only an insult to the 30% of Hawaiians who voted for Trump, it has damaged the global image of the State of Hawaii as "The Aloha State!" Café 8 1/2 will not see me as a customer, ever.

Okay, so tonight we have the name of the assassin, it is Mevlut Mert Aydintas, a 22 year old policeman who had been recently fired following the anti-Gulenist crackdown of Erdogan against the forces which had attempted to overthrow him recently.

When such an event occurs it is also important to ask cui bono – whom does it benefit?

Alas, both the Turks and the Russians have a long tradition of secrecy and we might never find out who, if anybody, really was behind Mevlut Mert Aydintas.

Hawaii 'faithless elector' breaks law to cast dissenting vote

Hawaii's four electors cast their votes for president Monday at the state Capitol building, and one broke the law.

Elector David Mulinix cast his vote for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders rather than Hillary Clinton, who won the presidential election in Hawaii.

Hawaii law requires electors to vote for the winner of the popular vote in the presidential election.

The Bad Losers (And What They Fear Losing)

As the worst loser in American electoral history, she must blame Russia, rather than recognize that there were multiple reasons to vote against her.

If the 2016 presidential campaign was a national disgrace, the reaction of the losers is an even more disgraceful spectacle. It seems that the political machine backing Hillary Clinton can’t stand losing an election.

And why is that?

Because they are determined to impose “exceptional” America’s hegemony on the entire world, using military-backed regime changes, and Donald Trump seems poised to spoil their plans.

Structural Failure—27 Honolulu Rail Cars heading for Junkyard?

The issue lies within aluminum beams that make up the structure of the rail cars. We’re told the manufacturer has stopped production and 27 rail cars could be affected.

So what’s being done to address the problem? HART says it first learned of the defect last month (Before the election?) and was “officially” notified on Dec. 1. HART also says it will not accept any cars from Hitachi until it is certain there are no defects.

Neocon Panic and Agony – THE SAKER

This is not a Democrat vs Republican issue, but a “deep state vs The People of the USA” issue.

There are clear signs that the Neocons running the AngloZionist Empire and its “deep state” are in a state of near panic and their actions indicate they are truly terrified.

On the home front, the Neocons have resorted to every possible dirty trick on the book to try to prevent Donald Trump from ever getting into the White House
Most experts agree that none of these tactics are going to work. So this begs the question of whether the Neocons are stupid, whether they think that they can succeed or what their true objective is.

Trump Sets the Cat Among the Jewish Pigeons

Palestine/Israel will be transformed into a democratic state, where Jews and Palestinians will live happily ever after, as equals.

The nomination of David Friedman horrified liberal Israelis, cheered Palestinian activists, befogged the Israeli and Palestinian officials, and created a great rift among US Jews. With one brilliant stroke Donald Trump made more mischief than one would think possible. If you have no time for details, I’ll tell you: it is a good, even very good development for Palestine and Palestinians, and it is likely to save Trump’s skin back home.

‘Russia Card’ Vendetta

Hack or Leak ?

When it comes to American politics specifically and European politics in general, there is nothing like playing the Russia card. If there is something wrong or there is something you don’t like, simply blame Vladimir Putin. That is exactly what the CIA is doing.

From ‘Fake News’ to ‘Fake Intelligence’ – Wayne Madsen

The real headlines should read: «CIA interfered in presidential election by supporting Clinton over Trump».

Never in the history of the Central Intelligence Agency has it and its surrogates so blatantly and boldly interfered in a U.S. election.

The U.S. media, in a matter of hours, altered course from concentrating on «fake news» about innocent pizzerias being linked to child sexual exploitation to spotlighting «fake intelligence» about Russia’s alleged cyber-espionage operation designed to elect Donald Trump president. The CIA leaked to The Washington Post, the owner of which has a $600 million contract with the CIA to provide cloud computing, findings of a secret report on Russia’s alleged «fixing» of the 2016 U.S. presidential election to favor Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s people ignore Electoral College threat at their electoral peril

We'll see in a few days how the Electoral College gambit (Hillary's "Plan D" - the first three being rig the election [A], recounts [B] and Russia [C], all failed) plays out.

Anyone who has access to the Trump transition team needs to get one clear message through to them. This is, that the 2016 election is NOT YET over, and Trump could find himself on the evening of December 19th with the new President-elect, Hillary Clinton, having a majority of the votes in the Electoral College which votes that day; or having the election sent to the US House of Representative for the outcome to be determined, as happened in 1800, 1824 and 1876 (for different reasons).

THE ULTIMATE “FAKE NEWS” LIST

Isn’t it ironic how the mainstream media has the nerve to lecture everyone else about “fake news” when they are the primary source of fake news on a consistent basis stretching back years?

Fake news stories and fake narratives put out by the mainstream media have resulted in deaths, destruction and people’s lives being ruined.

The most harmful fake news is routinely published by the mainstream media.

They are the main progenitors of fake news.

Veterans Groups Urge Donald Trump to Keep Current VA Secretary

The Trump Wave – Chris Wallace with President-elect Donald Trump

When asked why would the CIA put out the story that the Russians wanted you to win, Trump said I don’t think it is the CIA, I think it is the Democrat’s,because they suffered one of the greatest defeats in the history of politics.

I am open-minded… I’m somebody that gets it…other countries are eating our lunch…the great American people have been forgotten…millions of people have given up looking for work… I understand our country – Donald J Trump

Obama Out Not With a Bang, But a Whimp

The whimpering Obama administration is not over yet. Expect more sensational CIA exploits; more demonization of Russia; more weaponizing of “moderate” Syrian “rebels”; and even the odd false flag.

Clinton’s campaign – fully supported by President Obama — spent a whopping $1.2 billion and floundered ignominiously at the US presidential election. So Obama decided that the consolation “prize” is to order the “intelligence community” – a contradiction in terms – to conduct a “full review” of how the evil Russians handed out the Big Prize to Donald Trump.

Stop the CIA Coup – The Deep State versus Donald Trump

The CIA is up to its old tricks: overthrowing a democratically elected government. Only this time it’s our government.

“The CIA presentation to senators about Russia’s intentions fell short of a formal US assessment produced by all 17 intelligence agencies. A senior US official said there were minor disagreements among intelligence officials about the agency’s assessment, in part because some questions remain unanswered.” [emphasis added]

Text Messages Show HD2 Legislative Appointment Rigged by Democrats

The slate of finalists sent to the governor to pick a replacement for the late state Rep. Clift Tsuji was already decided before the public interviews and votes, according to a screen-shot of a text message obtained by the newspaper prior to Saturday’s voting.

The text message between Democratic Party District 2 Chairman Micah Alameda and Vice Chairman Derek Inaba named the winning candidate in each of three rounds. The message, bearing a 9:02 p.m. time-stamp, was obtained by West Hawaii Today from several sources early Saturday morning, before the voting began.

“Yes we are all set and good to go. Our entire crew is locked and ready. We have 9,” Alameda said in the text.

“Ok. So Moana round 1 Stacy round 2 and Chris round 3?” Inaba asks.

“Yes. All 9 have agreed!” Alameda answers.

Fake News and War Party Lies – Pat Buchanan

Now, Americans should be on guard against “fake news” and foreign meddling in U.S. elections.

Yet it is often our own allies, like the Brits, and our own leaders who mislead and lie us into unnecessary wars. And is not meddling in the internal affairs, including the elections, of regimes we do not like, pretty much the job description of the CIA and the National Endowment for Democracy?
