Former Mich. congressman Mike Rogers could join Trump team

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan could play a "senior role" on Republican nominee Donald Trump's transition team if he wins the presidency in November, advising him and the incoming administration on national security issues.

Rogers, who represented Michigan's 8th congressional district for 14 years and served as chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence before leaving in 2015, did not immediately respond to the Free Press about the report. A message sent to a spokesman for Rogers was not immediately answered.
