Cold temps set records in Bozeman, West Yellowstone

For the last few days, much of the state has been hit with a blast of frigid weather, with temperatures setting records in some spots.

On Monday, the temperature at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport never climbed above 4 degrees, beating out the old record coldest maximum temperature of 10 set back in 1969. A day later, the mercury dipped to 20 below zero, tying a record set in 1952.

West Yellowstone also set a record with a frosty low of minus 34 on Wednesday morning. The previous record was 32 below zero set in 1953.

Walmart is putting even more robots in its stores

For the past three years, the company has been testing shelf-scanning robots in some stores in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and California. The machines, which move up and down aisles, look for out-of-stock items and products that are mislabeled or incorrectly priced. They then flag these issues to store workers.

On Thursday, Walmart (WMT) said it will expand the test to 50 stores. The bots are set to arrive in places like El Paso, Jacksonville and Fort Worth by the end of January.

The company has been careful to pitch the robots as machinery to help staffers, not replace them.

Western Dragon: Chinese Air Force Deploy Advanced Fighters to Indian Border

The People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) has boosted their high altitude capacities along their southwestern borders, sending more top-of-the-line jet fighters to parts of China that border rival state India.

Early in February, PLAAF published photos of Chengdu J-10 Vigorous Dragon multirole fighters and Shenyang J-11 (a modification of the famous Soviet Sukhoi Su-27) air superiority fighters participating in combat training exercises in western China.

Denver shatters record low temperature; cold front lingers

A bitter cold front continued Wednesday with Denver hitting a record low temperature for the date.

Record low temps Friday a prelude to more snow, rain in Western Wash.

The National Weather Service's early morning online discussion called it a "really messy forecast" for the last days of February.

The opening salvo came just around dawn Friday as old low temperature records fell in many cities, with clear starry skies overhead. The mercury bottomed out at 24 degrees in Seattle, breaking the old low temperature record of 27 degrees for the date set in 2011. Olympia hit 16 degrees, breaking its old record of 20 degrees.

Other cities that hit record lows for the date were Bellingham, 19 degrees; Hoquiam, 24 degrees; Quillayute, 22 degrees; and the Sandpoint weather station in Seattle, 27 degrees.

JUDGE: IRAQIS SUFFICIENTLY ALLEGE TORTURE BY MILITARY CONTRACTOR AND MAY PROCEED WITH LAWSUIT

A federal judge refused to dismiss a lawsuit brought against CACI Premier Technology for its alleged involvement in Iraqi torture at the Abu Ghraib prison.

“CACI personnel substantially aided the military personnel responsible for directly carrying out the abuses, including directing them on how to set the conditions of confinement, ordering them to employ various abusive tactics, and helping them conceal the abuses,” Judge Leonie Brinkema stated [PDF].

“Moreover, upper-level management at CACI substantially aided these continued abuses by refusing to inform the military of reports that CACI and military personnel were abusing detainees and by continuing to employ—and even promote—interrogators engaging in the abuses.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good on Judge Brinkema!!

Torture is counterproductive, in terms of creating actionable intelligence, and should be shunned by all civilized societies.

Although looking at the sorry state of the Unhinged Survielled States of America today, "civilized" would not be the first adjective I would use to describe it.

You would have thought armed conflict with Russia would be a bigger story

The relative lack of attention being paid to the news that U.S.-backed forces killed 200 to 300 Russian mercenary soldiers this month in Syria seems like a non-barking dog to me.

In many years, this might have been the most disruptive story, holding the headlines for weeks or maybe months. Circa February 2018, it didn’t command a single major news cycle.

What outsiders know about the event is still fragmentary, but it sounds pretty ominous. One Bloomberg account notes: “More than 200 contract soldiers, mostly Russians fighting on behalf of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, died in a failed attack on a base held by U.S. and mainly Kurdish forces in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region.” It is described as the biggest clash between U.S. and Russian forces since the Cold War.>>>

US MAY OPEN PATH FOR SAUDI ARABIA TO ACQUIRE NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Saudi Arabia is moving swiftly to become the next country in the Middle East with nuclear power. The Kingdom is on the verge of striking a deal with the US for the purchase of nuclear reactors despite concerns over its refusal to accept stringent restrictions against the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman, who is the de facto ruler of the country, has ambitious plans to diversify the country’s energy source and is in the market to purchase nuclear power reactors. The potential for lucrative deals is too good to be missed and the Trump administration is thought to be mulling over loosening US law to win Saudi contracts, worth billions. The Kingdom has refused to be bound by stringent US regulations that restrict reprocessing and enriching uranium for the production of nuclear weapons.

With competitors like Russia and China waiting in the wings, Trump is keen to strike a deal with the Saudi’s and breathe new life into the American nuclear industry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: you need to look at the long term consequences of such a move.

IF in fact the US wants to sell nuclear reactors here, please make sure that they are the kind which produce no materials which can be reprocessed and create enriched uranium for the production of nuclear weapons. Thorium reactors are clean energy reactors, which won't do this.

And you have to know where the next evolution of such a process will go, if you don't do this; the creation of a nuclear-armed Saudi Arabia.

Please remember: Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy, obeying Sharia law, and has no constitution whatsoever. And against whom would they use such weapons?!? Perhaps, against Iran, their existential enemy in the region?!? Perhaps, against Israel?!?

Yes, I know you like Prince Salman, and he has become one of your your BFFs in the Middle East.

But President Trump, I need to ask you; what moves has Prince Salman actually made toward turning the monarchy into a constitutional monarchy?!? The short answer is, zero, nada, zip.

This will probably generate an arms race in the Middle East like nothing you have ever seen before, sprouting MAD capabilities in countries like... wait for it... perhaps Bahrain, whose government's view on human rights is just to the right of those of Attila the Hun, and whose repressive government, monarchy, and supreme court have just formally obliterated all oposition to the ruling party.

Top Bahraini court upholds dissolution of opposition al-Wefaq party

What, sir, will a nuclear-armed to the teeth Middle East mean for the possibilities for peace for the next generations?!?

I respectfully believe that you and your advisors need to think such a decision through to its logical conclusions, and in selling Saudi Arabia nuclear reactors, that we not sell them the ones whose biproducts can create nuclear weapons.

‘Americans leave behind scorched earth’: US refuses to clean up ‘carcinogenic’ waste at Azores base

After housing an airbase on Portugal’s Atlantic island of Terceira for 75 years, the US is scaling down its presence. Locals demand it cleans up the toxic pollution scientists say is causing cancer – but Washington doesn’t agree.

"Both of my parents died of cancer. My mum of breast cancer and my dad with a different kind of cancer. When I was 33 I was diagnosed with breast cancer," Madail Avila, one of 55,000 residents of the Azores’ second most-populous island, tells Ruptly. "It is a very big coincidence that there are so many cases of cancer within the same family and in the same geographical area as well, as all these cases are geographically located in the same area."

How The Media Enable Rep. Adam Schiff’s Russian Bot Conspiracy Theories

Last week, Laurence Tribe suggested, without evidence, that a plane crash in Russia was related to fallout from the Russian dossier operation orchestrated and funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign. Tribe is a Harvard Law professor, a passionate critic of President Donald Trump, and a known Russia conspiracy theorist. So it should have been surprising that the same day he was tweeting out plane crash conspiracy theories, he also argued in a “facially absurd” op-ed in The New York Times that Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., should be charged with obstruction of justice — no, really — for performing congressional oversight of the FBI.

Then again, it was only last March that The New York Times published another Russia conspiracy theorist named Louise Mensch talking about Russian hacking. Yes, the same Louise Mensch who believes that the “Marshal of the Supreme Court” told Trump about his impeachment and that Steve Bannon faces the death penalty for espionage. (Forget it, she’s rolling.)

Multiple Governments Are Targeting Clintons’ Biggest Charitable Frauds

Those who believe a certain Arkansas-based political family “always gets away with it” should know that the race to indict, prosecute, and convict multiple actors leading the sprawling, international Clinton Foundation fraud conspiracy is on.

Though long overdue, this seems eminently fair since prominent persons who operated porous and loosely controlled false-front philanthropies a tiny fraction the size of the known Clinton “charities,” including former Rep. Corrine Brown (D-Fla.), were sentenced to federal prison for lengthy terms.

For years, U.S. authorities have been keenly aware of provable crimes committed in the guise of philanthropy. But governments here and abroad have only been willing to take on the transplanted Arkansas dynasty and their many financial backers once it seemed beyond doubt that no Clinton was destined to take up residence again at the White House anytime soon.

HUNDREDS PROTEST OBJECT USED IN FL ATTACK, FORGETTING FBI & POLICE IGNORED THREATS THAT LET IT HAPPEN

Several of the surviving students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, have turned into gun control advocates in the last week. But while they were quick to protest against the inanimate object that was reportedly used to kill 17 students and teachers, they seem to be ignorant of the fact that the FBI ignored multiple reports and the local police department ignored dozens of calls about death threats from the suspect.

More than 100 students from Parkland visited the Florida State capitol exactly one week after the shooting to participate in the “Rally to Support Gun Safety Reform,” in an attempt to call on lawmakers to enact stricter gun control. Students David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez have also gained mainstream media fame by speaking out in a number of interviews and referring to members of the National Rifle Association as “Child murderers.”

Big Pharma's War On Our Children: 1 Million Kids Under Age 6 On Psychiatric Drugs

One in six Americans overall regularly take some type of medication in this category. However, children are now being swept up in Big Pharma’s desire to make money, not improve health. Mental health watchdog group Citizens Commission on Human Rights is drawing attention to the concerning fact that more than a million kids younger than six in our nation are currently taking these psychiatric drugs.

According to Natural News, around half of these children are four to five years old and an incredible 274,804 of them are younger than a year old. That’s right: babies are being given psychiatric drugs. The number rises for toddlers aged two to three, with 370,778 kids in this category taking psychiatric drugs overall. If this isn’t horrifying to you, congratulations on your brainwashing.

Data from IMS Health shows that the drug situation only gets worse as kids get older, with 4,130,340 kids aged 6 to 12 taking some type of psychiatric drug.

Paul Craig Roberts Rages "Russiaphobia Is Out Of Control"

As has been made perfectly clear, Mueller’s “indictment” of 13 Russians and 3 companies is just another hoax.

Their intent, Mueller says, was to “sow discord in the US political system.”

The era of hypersonic tech has arrived. Unbeknownst too many, a race for hypersonic aircraft and weapons has flourished among global superpowers (China, Russia, and the United States), who realize that the first to possess these technologies will revolutionize their civilian and military programs.

In Beijing's bid for the first place, Chinese researchers have revealed a novel design for an ultra-fast plane they say will be able to take dozens of people and tonnes of cargo - "anything from flowers to bombs, and likewise, passengers could be tourists or military special forces" - from Beijing to New York in about two hours.

Prohibition Never Works: Banning Alcohol Didn't Work, And Banning Guns Won't Either

Alcohol kills almost three times as many Americans as guns. Last year, about 33,000 people died of gunshot-related injuries, including those who shot themselves; suicide. When removing those who killed themselves only (again, suicide), that number drops to 15,549, by even anti-gun activists estimates. To put that in perspective, this year’s flu and the vaccine to “prevent” said flu is more deadly. So far, it’s been killing an estimated 4,000 Americans per week. That’s roughly 16,000 per month, a number already higher than last year’s total “gun deaths” which include justified homicides (or self-defense.) You don’t have to be a genius at math to understand that “gun violence” isn’t really the epidemic the media wants you to believe.

Mueller Files New Tax And Bank Fraud Charges Against Manafort

Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced late Thursday that a Virginia grand jury has approved a slate of new charges against former Trump campaign executive Paul Manafort and Manafort's former deputy, Rick Gates - a move that has been widely anticipated for weeks.

The two men are now facing 32 charges - that's 20 more than the original 12-count indictment.

In October, Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted for laundering millions of dollars earned while purportedly acting as unregistered agents of the Ukrainian government. In the superseding indictment filed on Thursday in federal court in Washington, they face new charges of tax evasion and bank fraud, as Bloomberg pointed out.

Oregon’s ‘School Exclusion Day’ Bans Unvaccinated Kids From Schools

Today is school exclusion day in Oregon. The public school district will be banning children from attending their classes if they are not fully vaccinated.

The word they are looking for here is “segregation.” But Oregonians are calling it “School Exclusion Day.” As noted by the state’s Health Authority, “parents must provide schools, child care facilities with kids’ vaccine records”. If their “records on file show missing immunizations”, their “children will not be able to attend school or child care” from this date forth.

According to Newsweek, today’s the day that, you won’t be given an education if you’re a child in Oregon and you don’t have a suite of vaccinations (including MMR, Polio, Hepatitis B, and more.) Similar enforcement initiatives are in operation in other states, from Texas to Illinois.

“Brandon Minoff, an 18-year-old survivor of the Florida school shooting, slammed the media for politicizing the aftermath of the deadly incident.

Minoff, who was previously interviewed by CNN and MSNBC, told Fox News Tuesday that too many media outlets are focusing on gun control rather than the 17 people who died in last Wednesday’s shooting.

Vanessa Beeley Exposes Entertainment Industry/NGO Network Pushing White Helmets Propaganda

Perception management has long been a facet of the dominant minority (aka “Deep State”) that controls the military, political, financial, and industrial sectors of life in the Western world. Perception management is not only undertaken by political discourse in the political realm but even more so by the media that is supposed to be tasked with presenting the public with factual information but today functions solely as a propaganda arm of the Deep State apparatus. Indeed, the mainstream corporate media frames, shapes, and creates issues for the public to debate and cleverly guides them to the desired conclusions...

Revival: The Muslim Response to the Crusades

The Crusades: An Arab Perspective is a four-part documentary series telling the dramatic story of the crusades seen through Arab eyes, from the seizing of Jerusalem under Pope Urban II in 1099, to its recapture by Salah ad-Din (also known as Saladin), Richard the Lionheart's efforts to regain the city, and the end of the holy wars in 1291. part one looked at the First Crusade and the conquest of Jerusalem. In part two, we explore the birth of the Muslim revival in the face of the crusades.

By the early 12th century, the crusades had successfully captured not only the holy city of Jerusalem but huge swaths of the Muslim Levant. Islam's third holiest site, the al-Aqsa Mosque, was in the hands of the crusaders.

The Muslim world, a mighty power for the previous four centuries, was shocked by the Christian annexation of large parts of their empire.

With Jerusalem under their control, the crusaders began to build a new system of rule in the lands they had captured.

Dow Jones Tanks As Silver Market Price Bottoming

During the last 90 minutes of trading on Wednesday, the Dow Jones Index tanked by 400 points. Supposedly, the steep selloff had something to do with the release of the Fed minutes. However, today, the market has reversed once again and is up by 200 points. Unfortunately for mainstream investors, it doesn’t matter what the Fed or Wall Street have to say; the broader markets will continue to fall precipitously over the next few years.

Interestingly, as the indicators point to extreme leverage in the markets, the opposite is true for the silver price. In my newest YouTube video, I discuss the different fundamental market indicators for the Dow Jones Index, the oil, gold, and silver price. While the Dow Jones Index and oil price are closer to a top, the silver price is reaching a bottom.

RUSSIAN TROLLS ARE FLOODING SOCIAL MEDIA WITH MESSAGES MEANT TO INCREASE TENSIONS IN U.S.

NPR's Mary Louise Kelly speaks with Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., about how Russian bots are still flooding social media, including fomenting American tension over the Florida school shootings, and what he thinks should be done about it.

The aftermath of a school shooting in Florida, NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem and the 2016 presidential election - these have all been targets of Russian internet trolls. Just hours after that Florida shooting last week, Russian bots got busy on social media posting pro-gun-rights messages, also posting pro-gun-control messages. It's the latest example of a phenomenon documented in special counsel Robert Mueller's indictment released on Friday of Russian trolls and bots working to deepen divisions in U.S. society. Oklahoma Republican Senator James Lankford has been talking about this since the NFL national anthem controversy last fall.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, really?!?

And by what professional computer training did Senator Lankford come to this determination?

Let us take a look at this man's educational history, from wickipedia.com:

"Lankford was born March 4, 1968, in Dallas, Texas,[6] the son of Linda Joyce (née House) and James Wesley Lankford.[7][8] His mother was an elementary school librarian.[1] His maternal grandparents owned a small dry-cleaning business, his father and paternal grandparents a dairy farm. His stepfather was a career employee of AC Delco, the parts division of General Motors.[9]

His parents divorced when he was four; his mother and older brother and he lived for a time in his grandparents' garage apartment. He became a Christian at eight. His mother remarried when he was twelve, and the family moved to Garland with his stepfather.[1] Lankford attended Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland. While at Lakeview Lankford participated in the Close Up Washington civic education program. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (specializing in Speech and History) at University of Texas at Austin in 1990, and a master's degree in Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994."

Sorry, but I do not see one computer-centric class in his education, to enable him to be be able to make the authentic claim that these are "Russian Bots", attempting to "deepen divisions in US society."

Does the man even have the faintest clue about spoofing IPs, to make a computer communication "appear" to be from another country when it absolutely is not?

This is more demonizing of Russia, without a reasonable, trustworthy analysis by someone who understands the tecnology down to the bare metal.

Demonization of another country, coupled with sanctions against it, are usually preludes to war, which is where the US government activity is headed in this case.

And frankly, in preparation for such a war, I woiuld not bet against seeing the draft reinstated in this country.

As Hollywood Feigns Outrage Over Gun Violence, Its Top Film Promotes It

Despite all the tweeted outrage from virtue-signaling celebrities, Hollywood doesn’t care about your kids or gun violence.

If it did, it would clean up its own house first. It would cease promoting its endless stream of increasingly graphic violence, primarily involving guns, in its movies, TV shows, and video games. But it won’t, because Hollywood profits massively from that sort of fare.

Hollywood sheds crocodile tears over school shooting victims, but in fact it cares only about bringing down the NRA and the Second Amendment. That’s why celebrities focus their outrage over school shootings but don’t issue a single tweet of complaint over the shooting deaths, mostly of minorities, every weekend in Democrat-controlled inner cities across America — because they know the massacre of schoolchildren is a highly emotional wedge they can use to boost the profile of their own self-righteousness and to demonize law-abiding gun owners who stand by the Constitution.

Iran May Pull Out of Nuclear Deal Over Western Banks’ Reluctance to Do Business

Speaking in London, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has warned that the problems with the P5+1 nuclear deal are not the US trying to change terms and threatening to withdraw, but that the US already is failing to abide by the deal in the first place.

Araqchi further warned that the deal is already at risk of crumbling apart because US threats are keeping Western banks from doing business with them, which is preventing sanction relief they were promised under the deal.

This isn’t a new complaint from Iran. Many European countries have signed deals with Iran since the pact was made, only to struggle to find banks, even European ones willing to process them. The banks suggested they feared US punishment for cooperating under the terms of the deal.

Russia Blocks UN Ceasefire Call on Eastern Ghouta Over Islamists’ Inclusion

A push for a UN Security Council call for a 30-day ceasefire in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta has been stalled by Russia, as officials complain that they consider the deal unacceptable for include an al-Qaeda-linked faction.

The ceasefire intends to include everyone in Eastern Ghouta, but Russia says they don’t want Hayat Tahrir al-Sham included because of its al-Qaeda ties, and they also don’t want rebels who are allied with that group included.

That’s been a problem with past ceasefires, where certain Islamist factions were excluded, but allied factions cohabitation with them were nominally included, which meant strikes on such groups were claimed as “violations.”

Time to Admit the Afghan War is ‘Nonsense’

Officially, the U.S. military objective in Afghanistan is to force the Taliban to the negotiating table, but just last month President Trump said that talks with the Taliban are off the table, indicating an incoherent policy, as Jonathan Marshall notes.

Washington Delivers New Ultimatum On Iran

The US State Department has issued a fresh ultimatum on the Iran nuclear deal to Washington’s ostensible major allies in Europe, demanding that Germany, Britain and France commit themselves to altering the agreement along the lines demanded by President Donald Trump or face its unilateral abrogation by the US.

A secret State Department cable obtained by Reuters presents what are essentially the same demands made by Trump last January. At that time, he announced that he was prepared to relaunch all-out US economic warfare against Iran unless the European powers joined Washington in imposing a rewritten nuclear accord on Tehran, including provisions that the Iranian government cannot and will not accept.

SYRIA - THE TWO EAST-GHOUTA CAMPAIGNS - ONE IS FOR LIBERATION, THE OTHER TO SAVE TERRORISTS

The Syrian government and its allies decided to finally liberate east-Ghouta from the grip of the Takfiri terrorists. Some 25,000 government troops are assembling now and preparatory artillery fire and aerial bombing has begun. The Syrian air force dropped leaflets to point anyone who wants to leave the area to designated humanitarian crossing points.

The western propaganda is repeating its "save Aleppo" campaign to save the terrorists in Ghouta. In the process the western aligned countries are making a joke (vid) out of the UN Security Council. There is no mention in this campaign of any Takfiri and no picture of any of the sectarian militants who daily kill random people in Damascus. This rings hollow writes Robert Fisk.

Florida Shooting Survivor Doubles Down: CNN's Entire Townhall Was Scripted

The latest embarrassing blow to CNN's (already tattered) credibility emerged last night when Colton Haab, the student who first exposed CNN for pushing him to ask a scripted question during Wednesday night's town hall appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to offer even more shocking details about CNN's conduct.

Yesterday, we noted that Haab, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student and shooting survivor, had come forward to say he decided not to attend Wednesday night's CNN town hall after CNN producers gave him a pre-scripted question for him to ask.

America's 4G Network Is Ranked 62nd 'Best' In The World (Behind Macedonia)

The United States takes pride in being a technological leader in the world. Companies such as Apple, Alphabet, IBM, Amazon and Microsoft have shaped our (digital) lives for many years and there is little indication of that changing anytime soon.

But, as Statista's Felix Richter notes, when it comes to IT infrastructure however, the U.S. is lagging behind the world’s best (and many of its not-so-best), be it in terms of home broadband or wireless broadband speeds. According to OpenSignal's latest State of LTE report, the average 4G download speed in the United States was 16.31 Mbps in Q4 2017.

‘Dreamer’ Group Pushing for Amnesty of 12 Million Illegals

‘Dreamers’ are dreaming of a nationwide amnesty for all 12 million illegals, according to a co-founder of the United We Dream advocacy group, which claims to represent illegals who were brought into the United States as children by their parents.

The United We Dream group is “advocating for Congress to really get to a breakthrough on this issue and provide a solution that will protect people like my brother and millions like him,” Cristina Jimenez, a co-founder of the group, told NPR.

She is also on record calling for immigrants to create a “revolutionary transformation.”

Archbishop tweets mystery 'Nighty-night, baby. I love you' message - then deletes it and claims it was for his SISTER

A New Jersey archbishop raised a few eyebrows when he tweeted 'Nighty-night, baby. I love you,' - but his spokesman said it was an errant message intended for his sister.

Cardinal Joseph Tobin's spokesman said the leader of the Newark Roman Catholic archdiocese later deleted Wednesday's tweet because it was being misinterpreted.

Spokesman Jim Goodness said Tobin, 65, has eight younger sisters and 'they're all his baby sisters'.

Goodness said he doesn't know how the siblings were communicating before the message was tweeted out.

The Trump Administration Wants a War America Cannot Win

Who knew that U.S. vice president Mike Pence would take a page out of activist athlete Colin Kaepernick’s playbook and refuse to stand for the host team’s entry at the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony on Feb. 8, 2018?

The games were being held in PyeongChang, Korea — and the team was composed of athletes representing what most people on the peninsula imagine to be their country, if only in their hopes and dreams — one nation, united North and South.

Now that the DPRK has entered the nine nation nuclear weapons club and mastered the missile technology necessary to deliver those weapons to the United States, what chance is there of such a final victory for the United States on the peninsula? Increasingly the most aggressive voices in the U.S. military policy establishment are pushing for a shift to offense against the DPRK, and since the election of Donald Trump, these voices are ascendant.

These voices are dangerous and wrong, and conscientious>>>

America’s immigration agency removes “nation of immigrants” from its mission statement

That’s not an exaggeration. USCIS, the federal agency responsible for issuing visas and green cards and for naturalizing immigrants as US citizens, has unveiled a new mission statement that strips out all references to immigrants themselves — including taking out a line that called the US a “nation of immigrants.” And in an email to agency staff Thursday, as first reported by the Intercept’s Ryan Devereaux, director L. Francis Cissna bragged about the change — saying that USCIS wasn’t supposed to help immigrants and the US citizens seeking to sponsor them, but rather “the American people.”

The Right To Keep And Bear Arms

Why Carry a Gun?

My old Grandpa said to me, 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to take a whoopin'.'

I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World.

I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry; I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

Two People Shot Dead Outside UBS Bank In Zurich

Two people have been shot dead outside a branch of the UBS bank in the otherwise boring and extremely quiet Swiss financial capital of Zurich, the local police said according to BBC. Images distributed by the Swiss press showed two bodies lying motionless, close together on a pavement, with eyewitnesses reporting four or five shots being fired.

The media images showed what appeared to be a pistol close to the hand of one of the bodies on the pavement.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – FEBRUARY 23, 2018: SYRIAN ARMY ENTERS YPG-HELD PART OF ALEPPO, TURKEY STRIKES CONVOY ENTERING AFRIN

On February 22, units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) entered into and established a full control of the YPG-held neighborhoods of Aleppo city, according to pro-government sources. A representative of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) confirmed the SAA deployment to the Kurdish HAWAR news agency. According to the released statement, YPG units from the city of Aleppo had moved to the Afrin area to combat Turkish forces. However, some sources say that some YPG units will remain in the neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsuud.

On the same day in the morning, a third group of pro-government fighters entered the Afrin area. In the evening, the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) struck another convoy, which was entering Afrin. According to the Turkish General Staff, the TAF attacked a convoy of 30-40 vehicles belonging to the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and even to ISIS.

The Invasion Of Panama And The Proclamation of a Lone Superpower Above The Law

Twenty five years ago, before dawn on December 20, 1989, U.S. forces descended on Panama City and unleashed one of the most violent, destructive terror attacks of the century. U.S. soldiers killed more people than were killed on 9/11. They systematically burned apartment buildings and shot people indiscriminately in the streets. Dead bodies were piled on top of each other; many were burned before identification. The aggression was condemned internationally, but the message was clear: the United States military was free to do whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted, and they would not be bound by ethics or laws.

The invasion and ensuing occupation produced gruesome scenes: “People burning to death in the incinerated dwellings, leaping from windows, running in panic through the streets, cut down in cross fire, crushed by tanks, human fragments everywhere,” writes William Blum. [1]
