How The US Government Is Raiding A Citizen Victim Relief Fund To Pay For General Expenses

One of the primary “talking points” used by the Department of Justice to defend its practice of systematically deeming corporate criminals above the law via its used of deferred prosecution agreements, has been an emphasis on how much money it has earned in fines from criminal corporations. These fines were supposed to be distributed to help victimized American citizens. Not any more.

VIDEO: Administrators literally shred Constitution after reporter calls it 'oppressive' and 'triggering'

Administrators at Vassar College and Oberlin College agreed to personally shred a pocket Constitution after an undercover reporter posing as a student complained that she felt “triggered” by its distribution on campus.

The video was produced by Project Veritas, a non-profit established by conservative journalist James O’Keefe, and employs a similar style to the undercover ACORN videos that first brought him to prominence.

“Last week something kinda happened on campus that kind of really upset me and I ended up having a panic attack,” the reporter tells Vassar College Assistant Director of Equal Opportunity Kelly Grab. “It’s just I’ve been kind of hiding out in my room ever since kind of scared, so, finally somebody told me I should maybe come talk to you about it and see if there’s anything that can happen or anything … They were handing the Constitution out on campus.”

“Oh, CATO Institute,” Grab murmurs while looking the booklet over.

TEPCO announced] the construction of seaside walls to block radiation-contaminated groundwater from seeping into the sea has been completed at the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant… TEPCO officials said the underground walls will reduce the daily flow of contaminated groundwater into the sea from the previous estimated 400 tons to 10 tons. However, they said it will take a month or two to confirm the effectiveness of the barriers.

Fact checkers confirm Ben Carson hasn’t made one true statement since his campaign began

Ben Carson got caught in a rather strange lie during the third republican debate when he claimed that he had no relationship with a supplement-scam company called Mannatech, despite video evidence showing him shilling for the product and claiming it magically cured his own cancer, and a financial connection to the company going back a decade. Not surprisingly, non-partisan fact checking outfit PolitiFact has rated his statement as “False.” But a deeper look at Carson’s record reveals that the site has concluded he hasn’t made a true substantive statement since his campaign began.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And if you believe the corporate media claims that Carson is leading Trump I have some of Saddam's nuclear weapons to sell you.

ISIS at the Gates of Vienna

History has a jolly habit of repeating itself as surrealist farce. Is it 1683 all over again, with the Ottoman Empire laying siege to Vienna just to be defeated by the “infidels” at the last minute?

No; it’s 2015 and a Caliph simulacrum – Ibrahim, a.k.a. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi — has prompted a gaggle of world powers, lesser powers and assorted minions to converge to Vienna to discuss how to defeat him.

Westphalians, we got a problem. None of this makes any sense if Iran is not at the table discussing a solution for the Syrian tragedy. Moscow knew it from the start. Washington — reluctantly — had to admit the obvious. But the problem was never Iran. The problem is the ideological matrix of goons who metastasize into Caliphs: Saudi Arabia.

Germany: Merkel moves to reassure over migrant influx as coalition divisions deepen

Chancellor Angela Merkel reiterated calls for other EU members to take in more migrants and refugees on Tuesday as her ruling coalition comes under growing pressure from the unprecedented influx entering Germany.

With talk of a million or more asylum seekers arriving on German territory this year alone, Merkel’s coalition is increasingly divided.

Making a fresh call for other EU members to do their share, the Chancellor tried to reassure those at home who believe Germany’s ‘Open Arms’ policy has gone too far.

It sounds like a bizarre torture scenario that you’d expect to see blamed on illegal terror organizations, but the individuals behind this crime are actually doctors working for the United States government. Disregarding the health of innocent citizens, the government testers were eager to see how unknowing participants suffered as a result of secret plutonium injection. It began in 1945, when an employee at the Oak Ridge Nuclear Facility was in a car accident. Ebb Cade survived, but was taken in as a human participant in a disturbing study he did not consent to. It is important to note that this man was a fifty-three-year-old African American, as previous government trials have singled out African Americans and other minorities.

A Hillary Clinton Presidency Would be a Disaster, A Nightmare for Americans

A Clinton presidency would be nightmarish for the vast majority of Americans and world peace. It’ll combine the worst of George Bush and Obama, an agenda of endless wars of aggression, maybe targeting Russia, China, and/or Iran, corporate favoritism, destroying social justice, and full-blown tyranny against resisters.

Doug Henwood is editor and publisher of the Left Business Observer. It covers “economics and politics in the broadest sense,” discussing what everyone needs to know, suppressed in mainstream reporting.

In November 2014, his Harper’s article headlined “Stop Hillary! Vote no to a Clinton dynasty.” It bears repeating. A second Clinton presidency is the worst of all deplorable choices.

Her qualifications “boil down to this,” says Henwood.

“She has experience, she’s a woman, and it’s her turn. It’s hard to find any substantive political argument in her favor.”

U.S. Navy To Patrol South China Sea About Twice Every Quarter

The U.S. Navy plans to conduct patrols within 12 nautical miles of artificial islands in the South China Sea about twice a quarter to remind China and other countries about U.S. rights under international law, a U.S. defense official said on Monday.

"We're going to come down to about twice a quarter or a little more than that," said the official, who was not authorized to speak publicly about Navy operational plans.

"That's the right amount to make it regular but not a constant poke in the eye. It meets the intent to regularly exercise our rights under international law and remind the Chinese and others about our view," the official said.

U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes on Monday said there would be more demonstrations of the U.S. military's commitment to the right to freely navigate in the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is pure and utter codswallop, that such actions will not be "a constant poke in the eye" to the Chinese government.

The US government and military will be playing picador with Chinese forces each and every time they do this tour, and there will be a point past which Chinese government will have to respond with military force.

I would like to politely remind both the US government and military that one of the most recent evolutions in Chinese military equipment, is what has been dubbed "the carrier killer missile". As reported in September 2015 at thefiscaltimes.com:

All of which is why military analysts were keen to see the technological firepower on display in the parade; 84 percent of the weaponry China showed off was new or never before shown in public, including a missile known as an “assassin’s mace” that has generated heavy interest in military circles over the past five years. The Chinese defense ministry has been silent about the missile up until today, other than to confirm in 2011 that the weapon was in development. The missile, formally known as the Dongfeng 21D (DF-21D) but also known as the “carrier-killer,” is rumored to have a range of up to 1,000 miles and may be able to travel up to 10 times the speed of sound, making it virtually impossible to intercept once launched, according to the Financial Times (registration required). The ballistic missile would be launched into orbit but can be maneuvered to a target once it re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere. Since China can manufacture 1,200 of the DF-21D for the price of one aircraft carrier, the missile could pose a threat to U.S. aircraft carriers in the event of a conflict. Even if the U.S. was able to shoot down or neutralize most of the missiles China fired at a carrier, one strike could alter the result of a battle.

Were I the President, I would be looking at areas where the US could be collaborating with China right now, rather than provoking it.

The Punishment Society — Paul Craig Roberts

Once upon a time, a dental or medical exam was an opportunity to read a book. No more. The TV blares. It was talking heads discussing whether a football player had been sufficiently punished. The offense was unclear. The question was whether the lashes were sufficient.

It brought to mind that punishment has become a primary feature of American, indeed Western, society. A baker in Colorado was punished because he would not bake a wedding cake for a homosexual marriage. A county or state clerk was punished because she would not issue a marriage license for a homosexual marriage. University professors are punished because they criticize Israel’s inhumane treatment of Palestinians. Whistleblowers are punished—despite their protection under federal law—for revealing crimes of the US government. And children are punished for being children.

HP CEO Says That Carly Fiorina Is Not Qualified To Be President

Current Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman doesn’t think former HP CEO Carly Fiorina is qualified to be president because the Republican contender has no political experience.

“I just think literally having some experience in politics is probably an important criteria for the highest office in the land,” Whitman told CNN over the weekend. “I think it's very difficult for your first role in politics to be president of the United States. The House GOP Wants Private Debt Collectors To Take Over IRS Jobs

House Republicans are pushing to give private debt collectors the right to target all unpaid tax bills, handing a traditional IRS responsibility over to an industry with a long record of consumer abuse.

Debt collection agencies frequently get into legal trouble for intimidating or misleading borrowers over their debts. The GOP is advocating to empower them with tax debts as part of an effort to pay for highway funding without raising taxes. The idea is that private debt collection companies will be more aggressive with tax delinquents than IRS agents, thus generating more money for the U.S. Treasury.

And private debt collectors probably will in fact be more aggressive than the IRS. But about 79 percent of outstanding tax debt is owed by low-income taxpayers who are essentially too poor to pay, according to Chi Chi Wu, an attorney with the advocacy group the National Consumer Law Center.

New books allege mismanagement, excess at the Vatican

The Vatican faced fresh accusations of mismanagement, excess and resistance to change as details from two new books emerged Tuesday, a day after the Holy See announced the arrest of two insiders on suspicion of leaking internal information.

The allegations in the books suggest a mix of formidable forces confront Pope Francis as he seeks to reform a Vatican bureaucracy long shrouded in secrecy and charged for years with being inefficient and lacking in transparency.

The Washington Post obtained an early copy of “Avarice: Documents Revealing Wealth, Scandals and Secrets of Francis’ Church” by Italian journalist Emiliano Fittipaldi of L’Espresso, which delves into the details of suspect accounts in the Vatican Bank, big spending by cardinals and the “saint making factory” of the Holy See.

Clinton Foundation spinoff won’t refile tax returns

An organization spun off from the Clinton Foundation has no plans to refile its tax returns due to mistakes in prior years, an official said, contradicting a highly publicized news report earlier this year.

A series of articles published as Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign kicked off this spring noted that the Clinton Health Access Initiative, set up in 2002 as the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative and spun off from the foundation in 2010, had not fully complied with aspects of a conflict-of-interest agreement negotiated before the former first lady and senator became secretary of state in 2009. The HIV program did not seek a State Department ethics review of several donations from foreign governments, including Switzerland, Rwanda, Sweden, Papua New Guinea and the Belgian region of Flanders, officials said, while acknowledging that the initiative also failed to publicly report its donors at all after the spin-off.

House Republicans Are Trying To Slip Bank Deregulation Into Highway Bill

House Republicans are angling to slip two pieces of bank deregulation into a major highway funding bill that is expected to pass with broad bipartisan support.

According to a source familiar with discussions, Republicans are trying to remove tighter regulations that were imposed on banks with at least $50 billion in assets after the 2008 financial crisis. They also are aiming to weaken the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau -- a brainchild of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), which has worked to prevent big banks, payday lenders and other financial firms from ripping off households.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With the US economy so fragile at this moment, the LAST THING Americans need is more de-regulation of the banks, and here is why.

As of 2012, regular account holders were described by the Fed as "unsecured debt holders". And the following, and its attribution, can be found at the following website, located at http://www.popularresistance.org/docs/bail-in.pdf

Here is where you have to pay attention:

”The unsecured debt holders can expect that their claims would be written down to reflect any losses that shareholders cannot cover, with some converted partly into equity in order to provide sufficient capital to return the sound businesses of the G-SIFI to private sector operation.” Resolving Globally Active, Systemically Important, Financial Institutions, coauthored by the FDIC & the Bank of England, December 10, 2012, Page ii. Note 1: unsecured debt holders are ordinary bank depositors like you & me Note 2: G-SIFI stands for Global Systemically Important Financial Institutions (this means big banks)

So in the next big banking crisis, please fully expect that the big banks will be doing bail-ins (of your money) to shore up shareholders' losses.

"The clitoris is one of the typical products of Galician cuisine," delighted punters were informed.

Piss on the TSA

After 11 years of covering the TSA, I should be immune to news of its atrocities. But I’m not. The profound trauma it inflicts on passengers, especially the weakest, sickest, and most vulnerable, indicts the Amerikan Empire as Satanically brutal and barbaric.

The latest horror to hit the headlines is the Gestapo’s—sorry, TSA’s forcing a 90 year-old-woman to strip to the waist; you can read my condemnation of this obscenity here. FLASHBACK - It Can Happen Here: The Confiscation Scheme Planned for US and UK Depositors

Confiscating the customer deposits in Cyprus banks, it seems, was not a one-off, desperate idea of a few eurozone troika officials scrambling to salvage their balance sheets. A joint paper by the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Bank of England dated December 10, 2012, shows that these plans have been long in the making; that they originated with the G20 Financial Stability Board in Basel, Switzerland (discussed earlier here); and that the result will be to deliver clear title to the banks of depositor funds. New Zealand has a similar directive, discussed earlier here.

The Circle of Gold

1933: President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 6102 and forbid US citizens from owning gold. They received paper money in exchange. One $20.00 Double Eagle (0.9675 ounces gold) was exchanged for a $20.00 paper certificate. Gold was therefore valued at $20.67 per ounce. Soon thereafter President Roosevelt devalued the dollar so that gold was valued at $35.00 per ounce. And gold was illegal for US citizens to own.

Perhaps the most famous, and prescient, financial cartoon in American history is the depiction of the Federal Reserve Bank as a giant octopus that would come to parasitically suck the life out of all U.S. institutions as well as free markets. The image is taken from Alfred Owen Crozier’s US Money Vs Corporation Currency, “Aldrich Plan,” Wall Street Confessions! Great Bank Combine, published in 1912, just a year before the creation of the Federal Reserve.

Earlier today, I came across an excellent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal in which the author explains this transformation in just a few short paragraphs. Here’s some of what he wrote:

History suggests that the only way to rein in the sprawling Federal Reserve is to end its money monopoly and restore the American people’s ability to use gold as a competing currency.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Gold is an answer, but not the only one.

The US Congress is Constitutionally enabled to create money as a public utility, rather than a loan at interest, every time new money is created, which Congress has chosen not to do.

The Fed, that seething cauldron of huge profits for a private central bank, needs to be eliminated completely.

Every time this country has had a private central bank, it has fallen into complete financial disaster; and right now is absolutely no exception.

It has gotten so bad that a bill was just introduced in Congress that would criminalize the use of stingrays without a warrant, at all levels of government.

A stingray is a suitcase-sized device that mimics a cell phone tower, which allows it to gather locations and data of all nearby mobile phones. This violation of constitutional rights is usually justified under the “war on terror” meme, although government is finding increasingly diverse uses.

Police and prosecutors using stingrays have signed a nondisclosure agreement with the FBI and, incredibly, prosecutors “have agreed to drop cases rather than disclose information about the technology” – even in serious criminal cases.

IRS Commissioner Koskinen stated in testimony that “[stingray] does not allow you to overhear… voice communications.” Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Seth M. Stodder told a House subcommittee that the devices do not listen to phone calls or capture text messages.

DHS/Coast Guard are spying on American boaters and they're forcing them to send their location to the Coast Guard every 15-30 seconds!

DHS is forcing boaters to purchase their own transponders which can go from $500 dollars to thousands of dollars! These transponders will ping their speed and location to DHS/Coast Guard, FOREIGN governments and the UN!

DHS/Coast Guard's new boat-tracking system is called the "National Automatic Identification System" (NAIS). Click here to read more about DHS's, NAIS system.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires AIS's to be fitted aboard international ships with a gross tonnage of 300 or more and all passenger ships regardless of size.

Fyi, the IMO is a United Nations organization! Why is the UN working with DHS to spy on EVERY ship in America and beyond?

This September I warned boaters about DHS's plan to create a national boat surveillance program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Not content to have effectively kneecapped the tourist/air travel business, as has the TSA, it appears that the US government is now hell-bent to destroy the recreational boating industry.

The court system for Austin, Texas, is the latest to be sued for operating what amounts to debtor’s prisons, according to Buzzfeed.

Austin joins Benton County, Washington; Biloxi, Mississippi; and New Orleans, all of which have been targeted by civil rights lawsuits since September for sending offenders to prison for not paying fines. Previous investigations have shown similar situations elsewhere in Texas, including in El Paso.

The practice of jailing people for being unable to pay penalties was ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Courtdecades ago. In many states, judges can lock up debtors only after offering them the chance to perform community service and when the defendant has “failed to make a good-faith effort” to do so. That’s the case in Texas, where judges are supposed to use jail time only as a last resort for punishing low-income offenders.

Fed Rules School Discriminated Against Transgender Student for Not Allowing Full Access to Girls' Locker Room

This week the government found that a high school in suburban Chicago discriminated against a transgender student for not providing the student equal access to the girls’ locker room.

The complaint was brought by an unnamed student and the ACLU who felt the school was discriminating against the student by attempting to provide “a separate changing place” because that “subjected the student to stigma and different treatment”.

Anger & Fear: The Way They Keep You Pointlessly Voting for President (Like Anything Will Ever Change)

Political strategists know if they push your buttons, they can get you to keep mindlessly, pointlessly voting… even though it won’t change a damn thing.

Political strategists (and the people running the show) know it works even though, deep down, most voters in this country have long ago realized somewhere inside that voting, at least in the federal elections, has all of about zero effect on actually changing anything and is basically a meaningless gesture that simply solidifies one’s willing participation in a slave system.

Political strategists have figured out how to keep people mindlessly, pointlessly voting anyway.

Here’s a direct quote from one:

Pick your boogeyman: undocumented immigrants or Wall Street bankers.

Let’s stick with the immigrants, she thinks. Just link the border to the national angst and tell everybody that migrants and the idiots who let them in killed the American Dream.

Previous investigations have shown similar situations elsewhere in Texas, including in El Paso.

Last week, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen testified before a Senate committee that his agency had indeed used stingrays in tax-related crimina

Refugee crisis requires EU-wide approach: Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for a pan-European approach to address the current refugee crisis in the continent, demanding a fair way of distributing asylum seekers between EU member states.

"In Germany, we must do what we can, no question about it. But we must not think small on this issue. Otherwise, Europe will once again be in great danger… we need a European-wide approach,” Merkel said in a speech at a reception of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in the capital city of Berlin on Tuesday.

She also noted that no country could take in all asylum seekers, stressing the need for a “fair distribution of refugees across Europe."

BEX Alert!!! - "Al-Qaeda calls for lone wolf attacks on West"

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has called for lone wolf attacks against Western countries, in particular America, and praised recent Palestinian attacks against Israelis.

Zawahiri spoke in a video released on Twitter and published and translated Monday by US-based SITE, which monitors violent extremist websites.

SITE noted that the video was broadcast on Twitter, on Sunday, rather than on extremist websites as is usually the case.

"The first matter is striking the West and specifically America in its own home, and attacking their interests that are spread everywhere," Zawahiri said, according to SITE.

"The supporters of Israel must pay with their blood and their economy."

As examples of lone wolf attacks, he cited the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzokhar Tsarnaev. Their attack with pressure cooker bombs killed three people and wounded 264.

Rubio Blames Obama For Palestinian Violence, Promises “Unconditional Support” to Israel

As Marco Rubio emerges as the candidate of choice for the GOP establishment, it’s time to take a closer look at the foreign policy and national security beliefs he espouses. Just last week, Rubio posted a short video on Twitter in which he criticized President Obama’s approach to Israel and pledged his “unconditional support” for the Jewish state. In the video, Rubio said: "What this president and his administration are doing in Israel is a tragic mistake. What they’re doing is dangerous and it betrays the commitment this nation has made to the right of a Jewish state to exist in peace. No people on earth want peace more than the people of Israel. No people have suffered more at the hands of this violence and this terrorism than the people of Israel and they need America’s support unconditionally. If I become president, that’s exactly what they’ll have."

In 1976, after the Watergate matters took place here, your intelligence community was literally tied up by Congress. It could not do anything. It could not send spies, it could not write reports, and it could not pay money. In order to compensate for that, a group of countries got together in the hope of fighting communism and established what was called the Safari Club. The Safari Club included France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Iran … so, the Kingdom, with these countries, helped in some way, I believe, to keep the world safe when the United States was not able to do that. That, I think, is a secret that many of you don’t know.

Carbon Hypocrite Bill Gates Says Only Carbon Taxes Will Stop the Dreaded Climate Change

Put aside whether or not you believe in man-made global warming for a second, and ask yourself if, even as he calls once again for carbon taxes, Bill Gates believes in man-made global warming.

Back in 2013, the billionaire was talking about not if we get a carbon tax, but when. In fact, he was already talking about what “we” (meaning the elite, megacorporations, and government cronies) should spend it on: “innovation”.

Speaking of just such “innovation,” Gates is making the rounds again to promote the fact that he’s invested $2 billion in green energy innovation through his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Can Pan-European Hysteria Save NATO’s Syrian War?

However, evidence suggests that the latest influx of refugees is more than a mere predictable consequence of destroying entire regions of the planet with war and state-sponsored terrorism. In Turkey, where the US, EU, and Ankara itself have inexplicably invested billions of dollars in the construction of refugee camps of unprecedented scale, reports indicate that torrents of refugees have been intentionally organized and sent onward to Europe.

The International New York Times’ Greek Kathimerini paper, in an article titled, “Refugee flow linked to Turkish policy shift,” reported (emphasis added):

A sharp increase in the influx of migrants and refugees, mostly from Syria, into Greece is due in part to a shift in Turkey’s geopolitical tactics, according to diplomatic sources.

Sarkozy's visit to Russia: Mistake or farsighted step?

The French press reacted negatively to Sarkozy's visit to Russia. According to French newspapers, Sarkozy, having been charmed by Putin, is running anti-French policy to take revenge on President Hollande. This could be true to fact, but why does Putin need to meet Sarkozy in Moscow?.. Sarkozy's party fellow Thierry Mariani, who has been to the Crimea as part of an informal parliamentary delegation, believes that Sarkozy's most recent trip to Russia was reasonable. "This is not parallel diplomacy. France has been pursuing the policy of sanctions against Russia for two years already. Bravo! Never before Putin's rating has been so high. We are coming to the conclusion that the policy of sanctions has come to a standstill, - Thierry Mariani told France Info. - Sarkozy went to Moscow with a specific message that Europe must maintain a dialogue with Russia, that France plays a special role in Europe."

Ron van Dartel is the Dutch Ambassador to the Russian Federation and as such he is supposed to represent his country's diplomacy. So what does he do? Why, he claims the Crimea is "under occupation" and declares it "illegal". Interesting coming from a country built on piracy on the high seas. The Dutch, are historically renowned for being pirates and were the source of misery for countless families in Spain, Portugal and the UK, their colonial policy smacking of a country hell-bent on sticking its nose into other people's affairs, seizing cities, raping women and spreading filth and disease, while at the same time insulting Christianity by implementing their laws overseas through the Bible and the bullet like the Hordes of Baal. What kind of war can USA and China start?

Formally, the dispute over the island involves six countries (China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei). In November 2002, the countries signed an agreement to push back the decision on their status till 2052. China, as a regional and economically powerful country, follows a simple principle: you have it when you're there. At a summit in California in 2013, Xi Jinping told President Barack Obama that the Pacific was big enough to accommodate both China and the United States. Jinping meant that there was no place for US Navy off the coast of China. Yet, Obama did not listen. Washington has built up bases on Okinawa, Japan, (25,800 US troops and navy), South Korea (28,000 US troops), Australia and the Philippines. Even Hanoi agreed to accept US ships for maintenance. Was this power not enough to stop Beijing in case of its aggressive actions against US allies? It was more than enough indeed.

NPR’s Distortions About the MH-17 ‘Report’

When I read that the report on the downing of the Malaysian airliner over Ukraine was being put in the hands of the Dutch, I knew that there would be no investigation and no attention to the facts.

And there wasn’t.

I did not intend to write about the report, because Washington’s propaganda has already succeeded, at least in the Western world, in its purpose of laying the blame on Russia. However, the misrepresentation of the Dutch report by Western media, such as NPR, is so outrageous as to make the media the story and not the report.

For example, I just heard NPR’s Moscow correspondent, Corey Flintoff, say that the missile that hit the airliner was fired by Ukrainian separatists who lack the technical ability to operate the system. Therefore, the missile had to have been fired by a Russian.

There is nothing in the Dutch report whatsoever that leads to this conclusion. Flintoff either is incompetent or lying or he is expressing his view and not the report’s conclusion.

Five ways Microsoft plans to get you to upgrade to Windows 10

Microsoft wants Windows 10 on one billion devices by 2018 - and its tactics for hitting that ambitious goal are about to get more aggressive.

From next year, Microsoft will be more direct in pushing Windows 7 and 8.1 users to upgrade to its latest OS, in an attempt to bolster the 110 million-strong Windows 10 userbase.

Here's how Microsoft is about to crank up the pressure to make the switch.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Windows 10 will open us all to more surveillance, possibly break older applications forcing us to buy upgrades which we cannot afford, take hours of time to install and configure, and based on Microsoft's history, will come with thousands of bugs which will cut into our productivity in the coming years. Microsoft hasn't given anyone a reason to go through all that other than that is what Microsoft wants! They can't GIVE their product away any more!
