Here’s why the news about Apple is so bad

The bad news about Apple is likely to keep on coming.

And that’s really saying something, since over the past six months the news about the company’s earnings and growth prospects already has been lopsidedly negative.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem is that the planned obsolescence model is breaking down. Companies like Apple got rich because consumers would rush to buy the latest and greatest device even if their current one was still working. That isn't happening any more. IN the current economy, people are using whatever it is they have now until it is totally worn out, and only then will they buy a new version. Apple (and others) got used to a certain degree of device turnover per customer, so many per decade forecast sales, and that number has plunged.

The Kauai agricultural workers were exposed to the insecticide chlorpyrifos, used on corn, which is currently under consideration for a ban by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). More than 3.5 tons of the pesticide were used in Hawaii in 2014 despite concerns over its environmental effects, as well as adverse health implications. The insecticide was also recently found in what were once considered protected water sources. Joshua Uyehara, Syngenta Hawaii’s continuous nursery site manager, said in a phone interview that a field supervisor realized that the employees shouldn’t have been in the field within a few minutes after they entered it. Syngenta would not tell anyone what symptoms the 10 workers endured, but they were severe enough that after taking them to Syngenta’s offices and ‘cleaning them up,’ they still needed to go to the hospital.

El Niño storms erode Pacifica bluff as homes teeter on the edge

Apartment buildings lining a rocky cliff overlooking the ocean in Pacifica, Calif., are in peril after recent El Niño storms severely eroded the crumbling bluff.

City Manager Lorie Tinfow declared a local emergency after the storms not only wreaked havoc on the cliffside, but also caused damage to Pacifica Pier and the Milagra Watershed. Rains also triggered the failure of a seawall along Beach Boulevard and Santa Maria Avenue in the coastal Bay Area city, about 15 miles south of San Francisco.

The Zika virus, which has been detected in 18 of the 26 states in Brazil, is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. A generically modified version has been developed by a British biotech company called Oxitec.

The results of a trial in Brazil published this summer involved genetically engineered mosquitoes that allegedly fight the spread of dengue fever, yellow fever, chikungunya, and zika virus.

But scientists have warned the study had too few controls in place to ensure that the mosquitoes released into the wild did not end up spreading dengue fever, yellow fever, chikungunya, and zika virus.

Pyatt - Godfather of Ukrainian Revolution Helping Ukraine to Defend Itself ... From Itself

"I welcomed the chance to hear from Deputy Minister of Defense Dolgov and Ukrainian Special Operations Forces Commander Major General Luniov on the status of Ukraine’s special operations reform efforts, and to witness first-hand the classroom and field training U.S. and Allied special operations forces are providing Ukrainian special forces to enhance Ukraine’s capability to defend itself in the face of relentless Russian aggression. Since 2014, we have provided more than $266 million in equipment and training to help Ukrainian forces better monitor and secure their border, operate more safely and effectively, and defend their country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. What I saw on my trip reaffirmed my confidence that the Ukrainian military is committed to moving forward with the process of reform — moving toward European institutions, a NATO-standard military, a NATO-standard special forces capability. The seven most extreme childhood allergies coincide directly with vaccine ingredients

During the first year of life children are injected with known carcinogens and neurotoxins. Then, children develop strange food allergies, some so severe they can't even be in the room when someone takes out that food, like peanuts. Let's take a hard look at vaccines like the MMR, DTaP and HPV, and see just what these extreme allergies root themselves in, sending the body into a panic when it senses that same allergen, thinking it might be INJECTED into muscle tissue again. The immune response is overwhelming. It's fight or flight, and anytime you inject processed emulsifiers, genetically modified bacteria, human albumin, MSG, egg protein, reduced animal hide and cartilage (gelatin), and heavy metal toxins, into your muscle tissue 50 times in less than seven years, you might stop wondering why you or your child has EXTREME ALLERGIES to the SAME EXACT ingredients used to manufacture the majority of today's vaccines.

Motion filed to block State from delaying release of Clinton emails

The journalist who forced the State Department to release thousands of Hillary Clinton’s emails is opposing the government’s efforts to delay the final release by one month, warning the extension would cause "irrevocable harm."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Fox News is reporting that this motion is moving forward.

It was ridiculous for the State Department to blame the weekend snowstorm for a one-month delay, and it is clear that the real goal was to delay the next batch of emails until after Iowa and New Hampshire ... which tells us there is something really damning in this coming batch.

FLASHBACK - FBI blocked in corruption probe involving Sens. Reid, Lee

FBI agents working alongside Utah state prosecutors in a wide-ranging corruption investigation have uncovered accusations of wrongdoing by two of the U.S. Senate’s most prominent figures — Majority Leader Harry Reid and rising Republican Sen. Mike Lee — but the Justice Department has thwarted their bid to launch a full federal investigation.

The probe, conducted by one Republican and one Democratic state prosecutor in Utah, has received accusations from an indicted businessman and political donor, interviewed other witnesses and gathered preliminary evidence such as financial records, Congressional Record statements and photographs that corroborate some aspects of the accusations, officials have told The Washington Times and ABC News.

FLASHBACK - Justice Department reportedly blocked FBI probe over Reid, Lee accusations

The Justice Department reportedly has blocked the FBI from launching a federal probe into accusations involving Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, leaving agents to work with local prosecutors to examine the evidence on the side.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hillary has created one hell of a mess; a scandal too big to sweep under the rug or blame on the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (Reg TM Clinton).

Normally the FBI would just pretend to investigate and declare that although there were some "mistakes", they did find a "shred" of evidence. But that can no longer work with the public aware of the hard facts, including the damning instruction from Hillary to her staff to delete the classification headings on a document so that it could be sent unsecured (a felony) and the presence of Top Secret/SAP documents on her private server when they are not supposed to exist anywhere outside the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System. The FBI cannot drop the case without destroying their own legitimacy and credibility (in the minds of those who do now know the real FBI). So I am going to reverse myself; I think the FBI will recommend charges. It will be a watered-down list, and not even address the question of whather Hillary was selling secrets from her private server to foreign governments and collecting/laundering the payments through her "charity."

That drops the whole mess into Obama's lap, via his Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

If Lynch refuses to prosecute, then Obama is seen as covering for Hillary for the next election. That is not a stain Obama wants in his final year in office as he works on his legacy. And it is not secret that the Obamas and Clintons hate each other. Obama would probably be perfectly happy to let Lynch actually do her job.

But according to Larry Nichols, Hillary has already sent a message that if she is charged with any crime, she will blow the whistle on all the dirt she knows and bring down the entire government.

Hillary has become a live liability for the establishment, and live liabilities do not stay alive very long. As concerned as I am about someone taking a shot at Trump, I think Hillary has worked herself into a situation where she is in real danger.

I note that Biden is starting to surface again, publicly regretting his decision not to run, apparently warming up in the bull pen to step in as Hillary's relief and ride the wave of sympathy for her into his first term in office.

Plaintiffs' lawyers wary of taking on Flint water scandal

The water scandal in Flint, Michigan has many of the ingredients for a mass, class-action lawsuit: danger signs that may have been ignored, many thousands of potential victims, the possibility of lifelong health problems, and the alleged systemic failure of people in charge.

Even consumer activist Erin Brockovich, the main subject of a 2000 movie named after her, has drawn attention to Flint's plight on her Facebook page and in public appearances.

Can the Truth Survive the Left’s Onslaught in Flint?

If you happen to read the left-wing, mainstream press or listen at all to the words of the Democratic presidential contenders, you know that there are few more important stories in the United States than the water troubles in Flint, Mich. Unfortunately, however, to the activist Left, the story is much less important for the sorry, sordid truth of the matter than it is for advancing the Narrative — that racist Republicans care little for the environment, hate the poor, and crush the little guy to save a buck.

U.S & Russia Are Preparing Public Opinion for the Partition of Ukraine

The State Department chooses whoever becomes the main villains in Hollywood action movies, thus forming the opinions of slow-witted American citizens, badly distinguishing reality and fiction. So due to shifts of accents in a Hollywood TV series it is quite possible to judge the shift of vectors and priorities of U.S. foreign policy. And here, literally in recent days, two top American TV series, "Elementary" and "Madam Secretary" shows the Kiev regime as dictatorial, and its militants as terrorists. The funny thing is the interpretation of Ukrainian events in "Madam Secretary"... after such events I have serious doubts that the Pig will be able to escape to the US when the time comes; someone has to be labelled the culprit, and the candidate is already chosen. And then there's Putin, who said at a ONF forum that the Donbass region was attached to Ukraine wrongly by mistake. The Russians, too, are preparing public opinion, just in a different way, not so "prominently" as Americans.

The Fed Passes The Buck: Blame Oil And China

There are a handful of themes out there on recent market action that are either totally wrong or otherwise highly misleading. For instance, regarding the recent calamity in the capital markets, one especially apparent dichotomy has presented itself as offering two choices as to what, exactly, is causing the painful turbulence.

There are some who, in a complete echo of the news headlines, are quick to point the finger at both oil and China. And yet there are others who point the finger at the Fed for “raising rates too early.” Along with the second is the observation that “inflation is totally MIA” and therefore it was ludicrous that the Fed felt the need to “raise interest rates.” Both of these tend to express anguish over the “strong dollar.”

Rearming for the apocalypse

Obama’s proposed “modernization” increases our vulnerability, not our security. The first and most obvious reason is that it will certainly lead other countries to seek equivalent arsenals of their own. It is especially upsetting to Russia, which already feels under increasing American threat as a result of our military maneuvers on its borders and the fact that many of our missiles are positioned in Germany, Turkey, and other countries near its territory. The Russian defense minister recently announced that in response to Obama’s plan, Russia will “bring five new strategic nuclear missile regiments into service.” China would surely match that escalation. If it does so, India will follow. Then Pakistan will jump into the race. It is a recipe for disaster.

The republic could need 500 new planes over the next three years, lawmaker Mahdi Hashemi, the chairman of the parliament’s development commission, said at Tehran’s first major post-sanctions gathering of global business people.

The transport minister, Abbas Akhoondi, told journalists Tehran would discuss details with Airbus next week and was also interested in negotiating with the US plane maker Boeing for aircraft.

Killing of Investigating Judge, Destroying Judiciary Buildings Shows Saudi Arabia's Confusion

The Saudi-led forces' intensified attacks against Yemen's judiciary buildings and judges investigating the Arab country's officials who have cooperated with Saudi Arabia shows their fear from exposure of the facts related to the corruption of the pro-Saudi camp. The Saudi fighter jets bombarded the headquarters of Yemen's Criminal and Penal Documents Headquarters in Sana'a just two weeks after they had pounded the Arab country's Security and Intelligence Organization in the Yemeni capital. The Saudi warplanes also killed Yemeni Judge Yahya Rubaid along with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren at his home in Sana'a on Monday.

Military Sources: US Delta Forces On Secret Mission in Iraq

"The CIA is the mastermind of the secret dispatch of the US special forces who are now in Iraq under the name of Delta Force," the Arabic-language media outlets quoted retired Iraqi Army Officer Brigadier General Talal Abdel Rahman al-Hamdani as saying on Tuesday. He, however, underlined that the number of the US Delta forces is not so high, adding that they are hidden in residential areas among the Iraqi people. "The Delta forces have been trained to assassinate Iraq's political figures and carry out dangerous military operations," Brigadier General al-Hamdani added. He did not provide any further details about the US Delta Forces in Iraq. Meantime, senior Iraqi MP Rasoul al-Tayee called on the Iraqi government to probe into the presence of the US Delta forces in Iraq.

This dangerous official state poster encouraged Flint residents to bathe babies in poisoned water

Flint, Michigan continues to grapple with the poisoning of its water supply system. For months the city government of Flint and the state government of Michigan— led by Governor Rick Snyder— ignored scientists, researchers and the citizens of economically depressed Flint who rang alarm bells about the toxic water supply. Instead, they encouraged the people of Flint to drink the water, bathe in the water, and, generally, that the water was safe. Of course the government was terribly wrong.

The debacle of neoliberal policies (Michigan’s government prioritized saving money over safe water) didn’t stop state officials from circulating an online flyer that read, “Hey Flint! It’s Safe to Wash.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The governor, and every state and Flint official who signed off on this outrage should resign en masse, and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of Michigan law for reckless public endangerment.

Skin is porous; and if you don't believe that, rub some garlic on your feet, and see just how soon you taste it.

The real upset to me is how long ago city, county, and state officials knew this water was poisoning people, but chose not to fix it because, after all, the people living here were poor, so they didn't matter, and their health, and the health of their children, was irrelevant.

The State of Michigan should be offering free chelation therapy to every kid who got exposed to this poison, and right the heck now.

What chelation therapy does is gently remove toxins in the system, which are then excreted through the kidneys. This is even recommended by the CDC.

Doctors need to test kidney function first, but the chemical used is calcium disodium EDTA, and it is introduced into the body though an IV. Treatments take a couple of hours, and there may be several times it needs to be done, but then the lead levels in the blood are tested again, to make sure that the lead has been completely eliminated from the child's system.

Clintons's $200,000 an Hour Pay From Goldman Sachs is Nothing to Laugh At

Goldman Sachs -- the investment bank that was so instrumental in causing the greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression -- pays Hillary Clinton $200,000 an hour or more to speak to their executives and investors. (The median income for an American family is $52,259 a year.)

What do Hillary and the Wall Street bank discuss that's worth over $200,000 an hour? And what does Goldman Sachs, and other Wall Street firms who have paid Hillary $2.5 million in the past two years, expect in return?

If you ask Hillary, you'll never find out.

Clinton Foundation Pockets Massive Payoffs From Russia for Mining Rights In Wyoming And Oregon- Hammond Ranch Part Of The Deal!

It appears, Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation from Russia wanted to expand their operations into America and needed a way in. So, in 2013, Rosatom acquired a Canadian company named Uranium One as part of a slick side deal involving multiple parties. The deal allowed the Russian’s to maneuver their way into the Continental United States as part of a vast and extensive plan to mine Uranium ore out of states like Wyoming and Oregon.

The deal was essentially brokered by Hillary and was run through the Clinton Foundation using Canadian-backed contributions as a cover. It seems Hillary learned from Obama the art of how to use a pen to sign away America to foreigners, or did Obama learn that from the Clintons? For with bleeding ink, Hillary sold one-fifth of America’s uranium resources to the Russians.

The prank site contains code that causes a never-ending string of characters within the address bar. As the string continues to grow, the browser will struggle to load it, thus causing a memory issue.

If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, those devices will heat up as they try to handle the code, and they will eventually reboot due to exhaustion. It takes about 20 seconds from when the site first loads to when the reboot takes place. Mac users will end up with Safari crashing, but won’t suffer an automatic reboot.

The prank site even affects Chrome users on Android, PCs, and Macs, as they will become very sluggish as Chrome attempts to load the code. Users will be forced to initiate a reboot in order to stop it.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of the federal government in a long-running dispute with the late Nevada rancher Wayne Hage, remanding the case to a new federal judge because of apparent bias on the part of U.S. District Judge Robert Clive Jones.

In a separate unpublished memorandum also filed Friday, the panel of the appeals court reversed a finding of contempt against BLM employee Thomas Seley and U.S. Forest Service employee Steven Williams, finding that Jones "grossly abused the power of contempt."

In the main opinion, the 9th Circuit, in a ruling written by Judge Susan Graber, granted the request by the U.S. government to reassign the case.

"Defendants openly trespassed on federal lands," she said. "Rather than simply resolving the fact-specific inquiries as to when and where the cattle grazed illegally, the district court applied an 'easement by necessity' theory that plainly contravenes the law."

A Texas grand jury has cleared a Planned Parenthood clinic of wrongdoing, and instead indicted two pro-life filmmakers who published videos alleging the abortion organization’s á la carte fetal organ harvesting.

On Monday, a Harris County Grand Jury charged Center for Medical Progress President David Daleiden and activist Sandra Merritt with “tampering with a governmental record,” a second degree felony. Daleiden was additionally charged with a misdemeanor count regarding human organ procurement.

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson said they were left with no choice but to charge the filmmakers after an investigation on the Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinic in Houston turned up clean.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The grand jury here was most likely either bribed, coerced, or intimidated, to come up with these indictments.

"Introducing Mohammed Alouch, the politburo chief of Jeish al-Islam terrorist group, as an opposition activist to attend the Geneva-III, and another political activist named as Z'abi as head of the Syrian opposition's negotiating team by Saudi Arabia showed that the team appointed by Saudi Arabia is paradoxical in nature," a founding member of Syria's Majd opposition current Ikhlas Ghosa told FNA on Tuesday. As a member of the U.S. Congress, one can expect to earn a substantial income of $174,000 per year – a very comfortable sum to live on. But it doesn’t stop there, now legislators are frequently using their political careers as a stepping-stone to a much larger payday upon retirement, often quintupling their income as an industry lobbyist.

Three political scientists have tracked data all the way back to 1976 to analyze the lobbying activity of former members of Congress in an eye-opening new study.

The results of the study, “Who walks through the revolving door? Examining the lobbying activity of former members of Congress,” appearing in the journal Interest Groups & Advocacy, make clear that there has been a substantial increase in the number of members becoming lobbyists after retirement.

The defense industry spent millions lobbying the federal government last year, but they weren’t the only ones urging the country toward more war. Countries like Israel and Saudi Arabia, and even oil and computer industry representatives, also got in on the act.

According to OpenSecrets, a project of the Center for Responsive Politics, the defense and aerospace industries spent a combined total of $56,272,948 on D.C. lobbying efforts last year. That’s down from the all-time high in 2013, when the industry spent over $78 million on lobbying.

In all, the defense industry employed 376 lobbyists on behalf of 42 clients, with 249 of those lobbyists, or about 66 percent, considered “revolvers” by OpenSecrets.org — lobbyists that were formerly employed in the defense industry and able to potentially use their insider knowledge and connections for more influence.
