US-Led Coalition to Create Zones of Stability in Syria

A meeting of the US-led anti-Islamic State coalition of 68 countries – the first meeting of the coalition since Donald Trump was elected US President – was held in Washington last week. It was announced that the US policy’s goal is creating «interim zones of stability» – the term used by State Secretary Rex Tillerson. It stops short of «safe zones», which the American military leaders are reluctant to use, despite of the fact that it is used by members of administration. It does not change the gist of the matter, meaning by and large the very same thing.

Cops Brag About Arresting Woman for Pot on Facebook as they Ignore 10,000 Rape Kits

In the fall of 2016, voters in Florida approved the sale of medical marijuana statewide. But if anyone thinks that Florida law enforcement is going to get soft on marijuana as a result, they might need to think again. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office paraded their latest drug bust on their Facebook page this week. They found Kayla Martin, 26, to be in possession of four melted gummy bears and two lollipops, arrested her, and charged her, not only with possession but with intent to distribute. The six tiny pieces of THC-laced candy were photographed, along with the perpetrator, and uploaded to the department’s FB page.

Fire engulfs 72-storey skyscraper in downtown Dubai

An inferno burned early Sunday in a high-rise tower complex being built alongside Dubai's largest mall, its thick black smoke shrouding surrounding buildings in a desert metropolis where skyscraper blazes remain a worry.

Though authorities said the fire caused no injuries, the blaze happened just a block away from the 63-story The Address Downtown Dubai tower, which burned in an inferno seen around the world on New Year's Eve on 2015.

SANCTUARY CITIES FREE 253 ILLEGAL-ALIEN CRIMINALS IN 2 WEEKS

Law enforcement agencies in New York City declined 12 detainers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the week of Feb. 4 to Feb. 10, according to ICE’s latest Weekly Declined Detainer Outcome Report.

The Big Apple was by far the jurisdiction with the most declined detainers during the period. There were four declined detainers in Orange County, California, and three in Washington, D.C., the second and third most, respectively. Overall, 47 ICE detainers were recorded as declined throughout the country from Feb. 4 to Feb. 10.

ICE routinely issues detainers to state and local law enforcement agencies to notify them of its intent to assume custody of an illegal alien currently being detained in state or local custody on criminal charges.

Spicer Skewers Media For Defending Dr. Farkas, Calls Her Public Admissions of Collecting Intelligence on Trump 'Devastating'

In today's press conference at the White House, Sean Spicer shifted the conversation away from the nothing-burger of who told Chairman Nunes about the Trump team being surveilled by the Obama administration to the public comments made by Dr. Farkas -- the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense specializing in Russia, who said "get as much information as you can" to persons inside the intelligence apparatus -- for the purposes of preserving intel on the Trump team in an effort to hide it from the incoming administration.

Spicer called her comments alone 'devasting' and posited the notion that had the media been treating the Trump administration fairly, they'd be more concerned with the intelligence leaks coming out of the Obama administration -- surveilling Trump and his team -- for reasons that are, indelibly, unclear.

OBAMA SPYING LOOKS EVEN WORSE THAN TRUMP CLAIMED

The spying by the Obama administration on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump reportedly was even worse than what he has alleged.

And it had nothing to do with Russia but everything to do with politics.

Sources in the intelligence community claim the potentially illegal revealing of names, or unmasking, of people in the Trump camp who were under surveillance was done purely “for political purposes” to “hurt and embarrass (candidate) Trump and his team.”

The bombshell revelations come from rank and file members of the intelligence community who are fighting back against a stonewall by the leaders at the nation’s spy agencies, according to Fox News.

Reporter Adam Housley said the sources are “not Trump” people but are “frustrated with the politics that is taking place in these (intelligence) agencies.”

PETA Says Milk is a ‘Symbol of White Supremacy’

PETA’s shenanigans vary from the absurd to the downright offensive. From likening rape survivors to pigs and cows, to calling Pokémon a form of animal cruelty, PETA’s efforts to “save the animals” always make the headlines—and with good reason: they’re completely absurd.

The animal rights group today released a new video to cry over milk, equating the nutritious drink with Nazism. Following the rise in Trump Derangement Syndrome and the progressive left’s hysteria over white supremacism, PETA states:

“Did you know that milk has long been a symbol used by white supremacists?”

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Defies President Donald Trump And US Immigration And Customs Enforcement In A Big Way.

As we know Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama are best buddies, and it stands to reason they would both act in the same way when it comes to politics. Thus, we are witnessing a Mayor defy the President of the United States, in my opinion to commit a crime, by pushing for a new plan to create an identification card that would specifically be used to make sure illegal aliens in the city could get welfare benefits with minimal risk to repatriation. Of course, we know that Chicago is a sanctuary city, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions has said a sanctuary city will lose taxpayer funds.

Storm brings spring snow to southern Utah

Southern Utah had some surprising spring weather with a dust storm in St. George and a snow storm in Cedar City on Friday.

"We're at over 6,000 feet right here, It's kind of crazy that 50 miles south we're at 2300 feet down in St. George, so they're having a nice day," said Lt. Steven Esplin with Cedar City Utah Highway Patrol.

While Lt. Esplin is right--there wasn't snow in St. George on Friday, there was some interesting weather with a dust storm and severe winds that sent power lines tumbling Thursday night.

To St. George's neighboring city up north in Cedar City, the snow kept falling on Friday.

Judge: Trump incited violence at rally in 2016

An Obama appointee! This is beyond the Pale on the part of this judge.

A federal judge ruled that President Trump during his campaign incited violence at a rally in Louisville, Ky., allowing the case against him and three supporters to proceed, the Courier-Journal reported.

Judge David J. Hale on Friday rejected the free speech defense in the suit against Trump, his campaign and three of its supporters.

The incident in question is when Trump, then a candidate for the Republican nomination, yelled “get ‘em out of here” at a campaign event on March 1, 2016, referencing protesters in the crowd.

Moscow And Beijing Join Forces To Bypass US Dollar In Global Markets, Shift To Gold Trade

Bypassing the US dollar appears to be paying off: according to the Chinese State Administration of Taxation, trade turnover between China and Russia increased by 34% in January, in annual terms. Bilateral trade in January 2017 amounted to $6.55 billion. China’s exports to Russia grew 29.5% reaching $3.41 billion, while imports from Russia increased by 39.3%, to $3.14 billion. Just as many suspected, with Russian sanctions forcing Moscow to find other trading partners, chief among which China, this is precisely what has happened.

The creation of the clearing center enables the two countries to further increase bilateral trade and investment while decreasing their dependence on the US dollar. It will create a pool of yuan liquidity in Russia that enables transactions for trade and financial operations to run smoothly.

FLASHBACK - Investigating Donald Trump, F.B.I. Sees No Clear Link to Russia

For much of the summer, the F.B.I. pursued a widening investigation into a Russian role in the American presidential campaign. Agents scrutinized advisers close to Donald J. Trump, looked for financial connections with Russian financial figures, searched for those involved in hacking the computers of Democrats, and even chased a lead — which they ultimately came to doubt — about a possible secret channel of email communication from the Trump Organization to a Russian bank.

Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump.

Don't look now: Hillary's back

Hillary Clinton is moving back into the spotlight as the vanquished Democratic presidential nominee seeks to carve out her role during the Trump administration.

It’s a step she's taking cautiously after stepping away from the political arena for roughly two months at the urging of her friends and associates. During that time, she emerged in public only for an occasional speech or college appearance.

But March represented a turning point as Clinton ratcheted up her opposition to Trump on Twitter and made three public speeches.

With her new rallying cry of "Resist, persist, insist, enlist," Clinton is keeping up her fight against Trump while giving Democrats space to find a new person to carry the torch in 2020.

What Are Laboratory Rats Indicating About Wi-Fi Exposures The High Tech Industries Deny?

By Catherine J. Frompovich

Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is everywhere: Planes, trains, schools, workplaces, cafés, and even doctors’ offices, which I find quite unfathomable, since those microwave frequencies are harmful to the brain, i.e., one of the non-thermal radiation wave adverse health effects the industry’s associations, e. g., ICNIRP, deny but falsely promote as safe, in my opinion.

Microwave energies are in the gigahertz (GHz) range—think microwave ovens! Would you leave your microwave oven door open while it is cooking dinner? Then, apply that same logic to the exposures you experience in all the places stated in the paragraph above. We are living in a sea of unfettered microwave exposures which are not safe for the human brain...

$13M in Settlements Paid to Women Who Accused Bill O’Reilly of Harassment

Fox News and Bill O’Reilly have paid out around $13 million in settlements to five women who accused O’Reilly of sexual harassment or verbal abuse, the New York Times reports. The women, who all either worked for O’Reilly or appeared on his top-rated television program, “complained about a wide range of behavior, including verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O’Reilly was masturbating, according to documents and interviews,” per the Times investigation. The women were given the payouts in exchange for agreeing not to pursue litigation or make their allegations public. Some of the settlements were completed in secret, and two happened after former Fox News chief Roger Ailes was dismissed following his own sexual harassment scandal last year. The earliest O’Reilly settlement happened in 2002.

F-35 Continues to Stumble

The F-35 still has a long way to go before it will be ready for combat. That was the parting message of Dr. Michael Gilmore, the now-retired Director of Operational Test and Evaluation, in his last annual report.

The Joint Strike Fighter Program has already consumed more than $100 billion and nearly 25 years. Just to finish the basic development phase will require at least an extra $1 billion and two more years. Even with this massive investment of time and money, Dr. Gilmore told Congress, the Pentagon, and the public, “the operational suitability of all variants continues to be less than desired by the Services."
