Putin: Only the Syrians are entitled to decide their future

In an interview with the Le Figaro French newspaper, Putin affirmed that there is no evidence indicating that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons in Syria, considering that all claims in that respect are a provocation.

He reiterated that the accusations were groundless and politically motivated, noting that Moscow called on Washington and other interested parties to send inspectors to the Syrian airfield from where the alleged chemical originated as well as to the site of the bombing in Idleb’s Khan Shaikhoun.

He added that if chemical weapons were used by the Syrian government, modern verification equipment would certainly find traces of this and these traces would be found in the aircraft and at the airfield. However, everyone refused to conduct such an inspection.

SECRETIVE BILDERBERG GROUP TO TALK RUSSIA, TRUMP & ‘WAR ON INFORMATION’

This year’s event marks the 65th meeting of the infamously-secretive group which has met every year since 1954. Denis Healey, Joseph Retinger, David Rockefeller and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands were the group’s founders.

The group says the conference is “designed to foster dialogue between Europe and North America.” Each year it’s attended by people from the fields of politics, industry, finance, media and academia. About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America.

As well of some of Trump’s top brass, other attendees this year include Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, Republican senators Tom Cotton and Lindsey Graham, and Chinese Ambassador to the US Cui Tiankai.

Editors, and chief commentators, from several world famous publications including Bloomberg, The Economist, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera and the London Evening Standard will also be in attendance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These meetings are about three things; control (financial and informational); wealth building; and war.

And when Karl Marx made the observation that all wars are economic in origin, the man was not far from the truth at all.

VIDEO: DRAPER'S GENETICALLY MODIFIED CYBORG DRAGONFLEYE TAKES FLIGHT

In January, we wrote about a cybernetic micro air vehicle under development at Draper called DragonflEye. DragonflEye consists of a living, slightly modified dragonfly that carries a small backpack of electronics. The backpack interfaces directly with the dragonfly’s nervous system to control it, and uses tiny solar panels to harvest enough energy to power itself without the need for batteries. Draper showed us a nifty looking mock-up of what the system might look like a few months ago, but today, they’ve posted the first video of DragonflEye taking to the air.

ALARMING STUDY: PHARMACEUTICAL FACTORY POLLUTION ACCELERATING SPREAD OF SUPERBUGS

The issue of “pharmaceutical pollution” was recently highlighted in a study that points to inadequate waste management policies leading to the presence of both pharmaceutical products as well as drug-resistant superbugs in the waters of India.

The study, published in the scientific journal Infection, focused on the environmental impact of drug production in Hyderabad, a city in India that produces 40% of Indian generic drugs and 50% of the country’s exported drugs. India produces about 20% of the world’s generic pharmaceuticals.

This study was conducted to “determine the environmental presence of active anti-infective pharmaceuticals in a major production area for the global bulk drug market” and “document the ongoing environmental pollution by the pharmaceutical industries” in Hyderabad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

While this is horrific, I cannot believe, for one second, that Hyderabad is the only place this is happening, and being covered up.

Trump-Phuc rekindle US-Vietnam warming trend

WTF! Sorry I had to put this one up just to see the Headline!

The Vietnamese government had much to celebrate after Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met on Wednesday with US President Donald Trump in the White House. Business deals were signed and America appeared to offer Vietnam new strategic support in its defense against a perceived as expansionist China.

“The relationship between Vietnam and the United States has undergone significant upheavals in history, but today we have been able to become comprehensive partners,” Phuc said after his meeting with Trump.

Artists ditch Israel’s pinkwashing film festival

A group of filmmakers, artists and presenters have canceled their scheduled appearances at TLVFest, Israel’s premier LGBTQ film festival in Tel Aviv, following appeals by queer Palestinian activists and boycott supporters to withdraw.

The high-profile cancellations in support of the Palestinian-led boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement prompted The Jerusalem Post to admit that while the festival “has been around for more than a decade, it has never faced a campaign this successful against it.”

Last week, award-winning South African film director John Trengove withdrew from the festival, which will begin on 1 June. He requested that his film, The Wound (Inxeba), not be screened.

“With the pain of the apartheid struggle still fresh in our collective consciousness, the issue is, as you can imagine, a very sensitive one for many South Africans,” Trengove wrote in a letter to the film festival’s organizers?.?

Israel main cause of Palestinian suffering, UN says

Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which will exceed the 50-year mark in June, is “the main cause” of Palestinian humanitarian needs, the United Nations has affirmed.

“The occupation denies Palestinians control over basic aspects of daily life, whether they live in the Gaza Strip or in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” according to a report released Wednesday by the UN humanitarian coordination agency OCHA.

“At its heart, the crisis in the [occupied Palestinian territories] is one of a lack of protection for Palestinian civilians – from violence, from displacement, from restrictions on access to services and livelihoods, and from other rights violations – with a disproportionate impact on the most vulnerable, children in particular,” OCHA head David Carden said.

Damning legislation would give corporations the power to forcibly vaccinate you and collect your DNA records

A new bill, H.R. 1313, moving through Congress would allow companies to require employees to undergo genetic testing and enroll in a mandatory vaccine program or risk losing their job. Today, laws including the 2008 Genetic Privacy and Nondiscrimination Act (known as GINA) prohibits giving employers such power over their employees.

If we let Republican Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, who introduced this new legislation, have her way, employees will be stripped of all their privacy rights. Furthermore, H.R. 1313, also called the “Preserving Employee Wellness Programs Act,” will give power to employers to hire or fire people based on the provided health information.

Crapness of WannaCrypt coding offers hope for ransomware victims

Mistakes in the WannaCrypt ransomware worm might allow files to be restored after infection.

A crack team of security researchers at Kaspersky Lab has discovered that WannaCrypt, which infected hundreds of thousands victims at the beginning of May, contains several coding errors.

Most of the whoopsies make it possible to restore files with the help of publicly available software tools. In one case a mistake in the malware's read-only file processing mechanism does not allow it to encrypt read-only files at all. Instead, the malware creates encrypted copies of the files, while the original files remain untouched and are only given a "hidden" attribute, which is easy to undo.

The US And Its Allies Appear Poised For Battle Against Pro-Syrian Regime Forces

Syrian militias fighting in support of the Bashar al-Assad regime are reportedly amassing near a small base manned by coalition forces in southeast Syria, raising concerns of a looming confrontation between ground forces technically not at war with each other, according to Military Times.

The news seems to signal that tensions between the coalition and the Assad regime are escalating in southeast Syria, where U.S. bombs struck a convoy of pro-government militants on May 18.

US-Led Coalition Conducts Suspicious Heliborne Operation in ISIL-Held Regions in Raqqa

The heliborne operation to save the ISIL members was conducted in the Northern parts of Raqqa on Wednesday.

Meantime, other reports said that the predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forces who are stationed in Raqqa under the US supervision allow the ISIL terrorists to leave Raqqa city.

Local sources disclosed in April that the US-led coalition aircraft carried out another heliborne operation in regions controlled by ISIL terrorists in Southeastern Deir Ezzur near Syria's border with Iraq.

The source added that several aircraft of the US-led coalition carried out heliborne operations near T2 Station in desert regions South of the town of al-Mayadeen.

According to reports, the aircraft landed near the T2 station where tens of the coalition forces left them and entered the station, adding the region on which the aircraft landed is one of the military supplying-rescue bases of the ISIL and there are a number of arms depots and fighters in the region.

US Arms Pouring Into Syria

Washington’s goal is fueling and continuing conflict, not ending it.

Arms and munitions for Kurdish YPG fighters and terrorists comprising the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces began arriving months earlier, more continuing to come.

Much of what’s supplied ends up in the hands of ISIS, al-Nusra and other terrorist groups. Washington’s aim is toppling Assad, destroying Syrian sovereignty, achieving another imperial trophy, no matter the human cost.

America’s Accountability Office reported at least $1 billion worth of arms deliveries to Syria and Iraq are unaccountable. Numerous airdrops supply terrorist fighters.

Dilbert 1, Scientists 0

A communications group at Yale University has put out a video that seems to be a rebuttal to a Dilbert cartoon by Scott Adams poking fun at climate scientists and their misplaced confidence in models. The video is full of impressive-looking scientists talking about charts and data and whatnot. It probably cost a lot to make and certainly involved a lot of time and effort. The most amazing thing, however, is that it actually proves the points being made in the Dilbert cartoon. Rather than debunking the cartoon, the scientists acted it out in slow motion.

How The 1989 War On Manuel Noriega’s Panama Super-Charged US Militarism

Manuel Noriega is dead at 83. He seems like a sad footnote to the last disastrous quarter century, but the December 1989 US invasion of Panama really was a permission slip for Washington—led by both Republicans and Democrats—to waste whatever potential benefits the end of the Cold War might have brought. Remember the “peace dividend”? The Berlin Wall had just fallen on November 9, and George H.W. Bush, the “realist,” was quick to use Panama to leverage the collapse of Soviet rule in Eastern Europe, declaring the end of “sovereignty” and the right of the United States to invade other countries in the name of “democracy” and “human rights.”

COVFEFE- a condition which arises when members of the mainstream press have their heads so far up their own asses, they can’t differentiate between an actual controversy and a manufactured political scandal.
