1,500 undocumented illegals with rafts wash up on shore, immediately deported. Sorry, this happened in Canada. And the deportees were Americans.

After about an hour, Gabrielle made it back across the river. She said others she saw weren’t as lucky.

Sarnia Police Service Staff Sgt. Scott Clarke said between 1,200 and 1,500 floaters landed in Sarnia.

It took 19 Sarnia Transit bus loads and six hours to return everyone back to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Clarke said.

"Most people were pretty well behaved and we did our best to get them back over and keep them warm and comfortable," said Lee Patterson, Sarnia Transit deputy director.

Clarke said Canadian Customs did not process the citizens, but left that for U.S. officials to do.

It was a bit of a nightmare but we got through it,” Clarke said. “There were long waits and long lines, (the floaters) were cold and wet, but they all made it home.

Hundreds of Americans Illegally Float Into Canada After River Party Goes Wrong

When a large group of Americans who were floating down a river that separates the U.S. from Canada were sent off course by extreme weather, it was up to our neighbor to the north to save them.

The Canadian Cost Guard said Monday that it embarked on a rescue effort for the group who were participating in the annual Port Huron Float Down on Sunday after heavy rains and winds sent them tumbling towards Canada without passports, Reuters reports.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Canada just sent them all back home without incident.

Did Canada Sell Its Gold to Prepare for the North American Union?

It’s never been clear why Canada sold ALL its gold, HERE, but perhaps it has to do with the potential, upcoming North American Union.

Just the other day, we wrote that Hillary’s plans are obviously to support the creation of the NAU. You can see the article HERE, entitled, “Hillary Plans Steps Toward North American Union If Elected.”

We’ve been writing about the resurgence of the NAU for years – and then more recently for months as regards this campaign. Gradually, the alternative media is becoming more aware of how high the stakes really are.

FBI tip led RCMP to thwart possible terrorist act by Aaron Driver in Strathroy, Ont.

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation tipped off the RCMP about a person who was potentially planning a terrorist attack in Canada, says Reuters, which led the RCMP to a small Ontario town where they ended up killing a known ISIS sympathizer.

How China’s Politics Are Screwing with Canadian Real Estate Markets

Corruption rampant in China could collapse all economies....

There is a direct line linking the explosive real estate bubbles in Toronto and Vancouver and how secure Chinese President Xi Jinping looks on his throne.

The evidence — the vast amount of money being spirited out of China by relatives, friends and cronies of the Red Aristocracy around Xi — suggests he’s set to tumble. Last year about $US1 trillion was spirited out of China by Communist Party leaders and their hangers-on, in defiance of currency regulations.

The Danger of Excessive Trump Bashing

The widespread disdain for Donald Trump and the fear of what his presidency might mean have led to an abandonment of any sense of objectivity by many Trump opponents and, most notably, the mainstream U.S. news media. If Trump is for something, it must be bad and must be transformed into one more club to use for hobbling his candidacy.

Amid his incoherence and insults, Trump has raised valid points on several important questions, such as the risks involved in the voracious expansion of NATO up to Russia’s borders and the wisdom of demonizing Russia and its internally popular President Vladimir Putin.

Aug 05 14:01

The Reluctant Enemy

The Enemy according to Trump is unemployment, outsourcing, immigration, wars abroad, neocons and free-wheeling allies, the Clintonites chose, Russia as the enemy.

In words of Jeffrey Sachs, “Hillary is the candidate of Wall Street. Even more dangerous, though, is that she is the candidate of the military-industrial complex supporting every war demanded by the US deep security state run by the military and the CIA.” And now she and her party set their sights on Russia.

Julian Assange: “1,700 emails” proves Hillary Clinton sold weapons to ISIS in Syria

“A vote today for Hillary Clinton is a vote for endless, stupid war,” - Julian Assange

In Obama’s second term, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton authorized the shipment of American-made arms to Qatar, a country beholden to the Muslim Brotherhood, and friendly to the Libyan rebels, in an effort to topple the Libyan/Gaddafi government, and then ship those arms to Syria in order to fund Al Qaeda, and topple Assad in Syria.

Clinton took the lead role in organizing the so-called “Friends of Syria” (aka Al Qaeda/ISIS) to back the CIA-led insurgency for regime change in Syria.

9NEWS’ Brandon Rittiman interviews Donald Trump

Donald Trump: You look at how horribly are veterans are being taken care of.

BRANDON RITTIMAN: So, I want to start by asking. Hillary Clinton did make history. I know she’s not your favorite person, but she made history by becoming the first female presidential nominee from a major party in American history.

Do you acknowledge that? Is that a positive step for the country?

TRUMP: She’s got bad judgment. Everything she’s touched has turned bad. Whether it’s Syria, or Libya, or the migration, or the beginning of the Iran deal. She’s got horrible judgment. She voted for the war in Iraq. Another mistake. She was in favor of NAFTA. Another mistake. She’s got bad judgment.

We’re going to have a woman president, but it shouldn’t be her. She would be catastrophic for our country.

Aborted 2013 Canadian false flag terror attack: The RCMP’s involvement was worse than we thought

https://letterstothebeast.com/2016/08/04/aborted-2013-canadian-false-f...

Walkom noted Justice Bruce’s analysis of John Nuttall: a man whose “…general ineptitude, his scatterbrained character, his inability to think logically, his childlike demeanour and his inability to remain focused on a task which would be essential to the articulation and execution of a terrorist plot.”

When it came to “Jihadist rhetoric,” the recovering heroin addict Nuttall talked a big game. He wanted to fire rockets over Victoria. He wanted to swim to a nuclear submarine and steal it. He wanted to take over a U.S. naval base (except he didn’t have any guns). He wanted to hijack a train. The only problem is, that train didn’t exist.

Trudeau continues Harper assault on human rights

There's something about Justin Trudeau and his PR-spinning Liberal Team that reminds me of the Tennessee Williams character Harvey "Big Daddy" Pollitt from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Pollitt famously uttered the line:

"What's that smell in this room? Didn't you notice it, Brick? Didn't you notice a powerful and obnoxious odour of mendacity in this room?... There ain't nothin' more powerful than the odour of mendacity... You can smell it. It smells like death."

Mendacity, for those without instant dictionary access, is a code word for behaviour that is disingenuous, two-faced, deceitful, hypocritical. In other words, a term that more and more Canadians will soon be applying to Mr. Trudeau, whose PR perfume will not be able to cover up the mess he and his team are making in Ottawa much longer.

Mounties entrapped B.C. pair in terror plot: Two drug addicts set up to carry out a “terror attack” on Canada Day

In Signal to Military, Hillary Clinton Picks Senator Tim Kaine as Running Mate

In selecting Kaine, Clinton is making clear that she plans on running a right-wing, pro-war campaign targeted at winning over the military and sections of the Republican Party dissatisfied with Trump, and particularly with the Republican candidate’s attitude toward Russia. Clinton also wanted to repudiate any association with the issues of social inequality that motivated the widespread support for her main rival in the primaries, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Kaine is among the most hawkish figures among Senate Democrats. As governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010, Kaine oversaw billions of dollars in cuts to the state budget. The state of Virginia is a major center for the military and defense industry, and is home to the Pentagon and the headquarters of the CIA.

Between 2009 and 2011, Kaine served as the head of the Democratic National Committee, the leadership body of the Democratic Party. He is close to Wall Street, having recently backed measures to deregulate banks.

Anonymous letter listing concerns about Canadian nuclear generating stations can’t be ignored, says NDP leader.

Federal NDP leader Tom Mulcair is demanding an independent investigation into allegations of safety problems at nuclear power generating stations in Ontario.

Mulcair criticized the Liberal government’s decision to allow the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to investigate itself in the wake of a scathing anonymous letter citing serious safety failures.

The letter was reportedly sent to commission president Michael Binder weeks ago and to media outlets this week.

It alleges CNSC management withheld information from commission panels holding licensing hearings for two nuclear plants in Ontario. The CNSC regulates the use of nuclear energy in Canada.

Jill Stein Just BLASTED the DNC Over Leaked Emails

“This latest revelation from WikiLeaks underscores how much the media is in bed with the DNC to circle the wagons around Hillary,” Stein told US Uncut in a phone interview. “The corruption and underhanded tactics and deception and conspiratorial efforts to silence Bernie and delegitimize him — I mean, welcome to the Green Party. This is what we’ve been up against forever.”

“The leaked DNC emails are the smoking gun that the Democratic establishment was rigging the game against Bernie the whole time,” Stein said in a press release issued by her campaign. “Instead of running the process impartially and letting the voters decide, top Democratic officials were doing all they could to ensure a Clinton victory, including collusion with journalists to present a pro-Clinton, anti-Sanders narrative.”

Donald Trump and the Revolt of the Proles

The Trump phenom is about economic insecurity. This isn’t about ideology, or racism, it’s about reality;

Western elites were shocked by Brexit, shocked that all their fear mongering and finger-wagging amounted to nothing. The same is true in the US, where the media’s daily attacks on Trump have failed to erode his base of support at all, in fact, they may have added to it.

That’s the reality that made Trump possible, and that’s what this election is about, economic insecurity.

If you enter an elevator in Toronto, have food and water with you (and maybe somethingt to pee in)

Trapped in a stuck elevator? The problem is worsening in Canada, experts warn
Canada, especially Toronto, is already plunging to an elevator crisis, experts say, with a large number of elevators in need of repairs, replacement.

Ben McIntyre, business manager for Local 50 of the International Union of Elevator Constructors in Ajax, Ont., said some landlords are simply unable or unwilling to spend the needed money. But the real problem, he said, is that routine maintenance has gone by the wayside as overloaded technicians attend to only the most pressing problems.

McIntyre also complains about the dominance of the few big players in the tight-knit industry.

“They really rule it with a tight fist and it’s all about bottom lines more than it is about customer satisfaction or for the riding public,” McIntyre said. “If they can cut a corner to make their bottom line look better ... they will. It’s only when an accident happens or something happens, then they start pointing fingers.”

Ted Cruz would run in 2020 even if Trump is president, RNC official says

Cruz is already laying the groundwork for another run for president in 2020, but a top RNC official told Yahoo News that they expect him to run even if Donald Trump becomes president this fall. That would represent the first major challenge of an incumbent president from inside his own party since Teddy Kennedy ran against President Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Jul 21 06:55

Ted Cruz is betting Trump will lose disastrously in November and he can pick up the pieces

But by upsetting the Republican Party of 2016, Cruz is positioning himself to be the man who saves the party after the year is over. He’s making a bet: that Donald Trump will fail catastrophically in November and the Republican Party’s next leader will be someone who wasn’t implicated in the catastrophe. Ted Cruz wants to be that someone.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Ted Cruz is willing to hand the White House to Hillary Clinton ... to serve his own political ambitions for 2020.

Now let us remember something important.

Ted Cruz cannot serve as President of the United States. Article 2, Section 1, clause 5 requires the President to be a Natural Born American Citizen. Cruz was born in Canada, of parents who were Canadian citizens at the time. Because he was born out of wedlock, under Section 309(c) of the INA, Ted Cruz did NOT acquire birthright citizenship from his mother (who was born in Deleware). Ted was born a Canadian citizen and does not qualify to be the President. Also, under the 12th Amendment, he may not serve as Vice President.

The last thing this nation needs is another politician who thinks the Constitution and Bill of Rights are to be ignored when inconvenient!

Okay Rivero's Rangers, today's assignment is to copy the above text and post it everywhere this nonsense about Cruz wanting Trump to lose to Hillary so that Cruz can run in 2020 appears. Include the URL to my article at http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/NaturalBorn.php. Because Cruz will lose 2020 to Hillary, as Hillary's lawyers will not hesitate to take Cruz' eligibility right to the Supreme Court.

We have wasted enough time with Ted "Born near the USA" Cruz! He has proven that he does not care for the voters or even the Republican Party. In fact he is just like Hillary; out for himself alone!

Central Banks Making Housing Unaffordable

In response to growing criticism and worry over the housing-crisis in Canada, political representatives have decided to push forth with their plans for new taxes as their solution to help with the problem. One thing that concerns many local residents is the number of vacant houses and other vacant properties around the city, some feel that by imposing the new taxes on these properties that it will prompt those home-owners to either rent or sell their properties and thus help to turn around the problem of houses being too expensive for locals. But others say that taxes aren't a long-term solution to solving the issue of why an increasing number of Canadians cannot afford suitable accommodation for themselves, and if anything they might only make the situation worse.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Taxes ALWAYS make things worse for the people. But that is all government knows how to do; take more money!

Mike Flynn: ‘Americans Are Fed Up With the Bullshit’

Americans fed up with the bullshit they've been fed for many years. They want the truth.

Flynn: This is where I think the world has misread Donald Trump. He has no intention to step away without examining all relationships that we have. His intent is to relook at the way we are organized globally, where the US is sort of expected to be a global leader, but relook at these alliances and these charters that we are under to make sure that they are still viable for the 21st century. It doesn’t mean that President Trump comes into office and NATO goes away. But I would say that NATO as a political alliance does need to be relooked at in terms of everything — resourcing, capabilities.

Throughout the Sanders campaign, the Socialist Equality Party has welcomed the broad shift to the left that it revealed in the thinking of millions of working people and youth, while warning that the Vermont senator would inevitably disappoint his supporters.

CANADIAN TEACHER UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION FOR SAYING PALESTINIANS HAD RIGHT TO RESIST OCCUPATION

A Toronto-area school board and Toronto city police are investigating an elementary school teacher after pro-Israel lobby groups complained about comments she made during a rally in solidarity with Palestinians.

The teacher, Nadia Shoufani, addressed a downtown Toronto rally on 2 July, marking al-Quds Day, an annual event held around the world to support Palestinian rights and to protest Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories.

“Silence in situations of oppression and injustices is a crime against humanity,” Shoufani said in her speech at the rally, in which she condemned the Israeli occupation and Israel’s policies of home demolitions, land confiscation and arrests of Palestinians.

Shoufani also quoted Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani, an important figure in the left-wing Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), who was assassinated by Israeli Mossad agents in a car bombing in Beirut in 1972.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, when it comes to support of Palestinians, Canadians have absolutely lost any freedom of speech they ever had when it comes to criticising the Israeli occupation.

And was this teacher doing this during school-time?!? No, not at all; she was on her own time, at this rally.

So now in Canada, a teacher cannot support the Palestinian cause without potentially getting "investigated" (and most probably sacked, and shunned, never permitted to teach again) if they are pro-Palestinian.

I am quite sure that Michael Mostyn's "Final Solution" to the "Palestinian Problem" would be for every Palestinian to kill every one of their children, then kill themselves.

For people like Mostyn, the "problem" is that Palestinians, who keenly remember their history, and exist in the world, are still breathing.

I find this attitude painfully ironic, because it is eerily similar to the thoughts of a European leader during World War II regarding certain minorities in his country, and the world, he did not particularly like.

Putin does not want war. He is doing everything in his power to avoid it.

The trip-point of World War III will be the installation of Washington’s missiles in Poland and Romania. As Putin recently made clear to the imbecilic Western journalists, these missiles can easily and secretly be changed from anti-ballistic missiles to nuclear attack missiles that can strike their Russian targets within 5 or fewer minutes of launch, thus depriving Russia of its retaliatory deterrent. Once these missiles are in place, Washington can issue orders to Russia.

Whatever the evil men and women in Washington who are gambling with the life of the planet think, Russia is not going to accept these missiles.

Canada Inks Free Trade Deal With Ukraine, Emphasizes Security Relationship

By Brandon Turbeville

Canada’s Obama, Prime Minster Justin Trudeau, is now making good on his task of providing a young and well-spoken face to a continuation of oppression, authoritarianism, globalization, and imperialism, much like his American counterpart did with great success eight years ago. Thus, it was to the cheers of many that Trudeau met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kiev to announce a greater “cooperation” between the two countries both in security and in trade, despite the announcement being nothing more than the telegraph of a continuation of imperialism and the giant sucking sound of “free trade.”...

It's not your grandfather's Cold War, Canadian and NATO officials insist

There is something NATO — and more importantly Canadian officials — want you to understand about the rising tensions with Russia: This is NOT your grandfather's Cold War.

In fact, throughout last weekend's Warsaw Summit they were really skittish about anyone drawing any comparisons to the nearly half century long standoff between East and West, which brought the world to the precipice of nuclear annihilation.

"The Cold War is history and it should remain history," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declared, as though just saying so was more than enough to make it so.

US veterans on Chilcot: we need our own inquiry to avoid repeating mistakes

UK’s investigation into Iraq invasion is ‘example of what we could do with political courage’, says codirector of Iraq Veterans against the War.

Following the devastating British inquiry into the 2003 invasion of Iraq, American veterans and their families have warned that the US is liable to repeat the mistakes without a similarly comprehensive investigation.

The UK’s Chilcot inquiry was released on Wednesday, and while it is no secret in the US that the invasion was a failure, nothing so damning as the 2.6m-word British inquiry has been released by an independent US government body.

Chilcot and the End of the Anglosphere – Justin Raimondo

Bush’s poodle subordinated British sovereignty – and precipitated a disaster.

Do we really need a 2.6 million word report on how Bush’s poodle, a.k.a. former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, allowed his country to be pulled into a conflict that claimed hundreds of British lives, thousands of American lives, and at least 150,000 Iraqi lives, while plunging the entire region into a maelstrom of terroristic chaos?

A good decade after being announced, the Chilcot report has finally been released, and what it shows is that the phrase “Bush’s poodle” is blatantly unfair to poodles: after all, even a poodle is known to have gone off its leash every once in a while – but not Tony.

“CrossTalk” Aggressive NATO

Merkel Urged to Temper NATO’s Belligerence

U.S. intelligence veterans are calling on German Chancellor Merkel to bring a needed dose of realism and restraint to the upcoming NATO conference, which risks escalating the dangerous new Cold War with Russia.

MEMORANDUM FOR: Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany

We longtime U.S. intelligence officers again wish to convey our concerns and cautions directly to you prior to a critically important NATO summit – the meeting that begins on July 8 in Warsaw. We were gratified to learn that our referenced memorandum reached you and your advisers before the NATO summit in Wales, and that others too learned of our initiative via the Sueddeutsche Zeitung, which published a full report on our memorandum on Sept. 4, the day that summit began.

NATO Marches Toward Destruction

The Brexit is just one rumbling of such discontent.

As the West’s elites growl about “Russian aggression” – as they once did about Iraq’s WMD – NATO leaders meet in Poland to plan a costly and dangerous new Cold War, while shunning the few voices of dissent.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s cry of distress is that of a man watching a tidal wave of destruction gathering force, similar to ones that have engulfed his country twice in the Twentieth Century.

German, Canadian Troops Arrive in Town in Syria's Raqqa Province – Sources

An unknown number of German and Canadian troops have recently arrived in the northern Syrian town of Tell Abyad in the northern Raqqa province, sources in the Kurdish opposition told Sputnik on Thursday.

Technically this is an invasion, as Syria's government has not invited them nor given permission for them to be on their territory.

TENSE: German and Canadian troops entered Syria

An unknown number of German and Canadian soldiers recently arrived in the city in northern Syria Tel Abijad, in the northern province of Cancer, said Sputnik sources from the scene.

Military personnel have been deployed in recent days in the area where the US-led coalition fighting against the terrorist organization Daesa.

Syrian television reported last month that German commandos entered Syria to join the French and US forces in the offensive on the city of Manbij controlling Daesa.

Manbij, a town located between the self-proclaimed capital Daesa-a Rake and the Turkish-Syrian border, is strategically important to terrorists.

Hillary Rebuffs Bernie’s Policy Demands

Eager to hold the political “center,” Hillary Clinton has budged little on Bernie Sanders’s policy proposals beyond nice-sounding platitudes, a strategy that could lead to clashes at the Democratic convention, says Lawrence Davidson.

Hillary Clinton has pursued the presidency for almost a decade with a tenacious determination. She almost achieved the nomination in 2008 only to lose to Barack Obama. That led to an eight-year stifling of this ambition.

Finally, in the long run-up to the 2016 election, she was convinced the nomination was hers.

Jeremy Corbyn gives #Chilcot statement

The much-edited Chilcot Report finally arrived and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has issued a pretty-sounding apology for his party’s decision to go to war in Iraq in 2003. He called it the most serious foreign policy calamity of the last 60 years and “a stain on our party and country”.

It’s unfortunate that he dignifies the evil Iraq war conspiracy by suggesting it had anything to do with policy of the British people. It was a private venture, pledged in secret, by a Labour prime minister and his closest henchmen, and backed by the Cabinet.

Iraq Verdict: Trouble if heads don’t roll

First and foremost it was not so much a foreign policy disaster as a flat-out war crime for which Blair as chief perpetrator must be tried. And so must his Cabinet, who carry collective responsibility.

CANADA TO SEND 1,000 TROOPS TO E. EUROPE TO BOOST NATO PRESENCE AT RUSSIA'S DOORSTEP

In last week’s speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian will adopt adequate measures to counter NATO's aggression. Putin also called for creation of an international security system open to all countries.

"Russia is ready to discuss this extremely important issue," he said, adding that such proposals have been so far left unanswered by Western countries.

At the upcoming Warsaw summit in July, NATO leaders are expected to green-light deployment of four battalions of up to 800 troops each to the Baltic States and Poland, along with intensifying the scale and pace of multinational military exercises. Recent live-fire drills, Anakonda 2016, Saber Strike and BALTOPS, involved thousands of troops and hundreds of combat vehicles to simulate large-scale operations in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is, at this point, not a question of IF NATO is going to wage a war against Russia, but WHEN.

You don't have the kind of continuous troop and equipment escalation on Russia's borders unless you mean to use it.

Canada’s Foreign Policy: “Copy and Paste” of Washington’s War Crimes Agenda

Canada’s warmongering Defence Minister, Harjit Sajjan, recently announced an increased Canadian presence in NATO, predicated on the narrative that Russia “annexed the Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine and backed pro-Russian separatist forces in that country’s eastern region.”

Presumably his “Assad must go” narrative about Syria is wearing thin. After all, NATO member Turkey is a training ground for ISIS, a transit point for terrorists entering Syria, and, like the Canadian government, all of NATO, the Gulf monarchies, Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, and apartheid Israel, a staunch supporter of the terrorists; plus, it has also been long established that there are no “moderates.”

Presumably, too, Sajjan needs to rebrand and recycle the “threat” narrative, and the “NATO are the good guys” meme, so he is now reintroducing Russia as a threat.

America Should Exit From NATO and the National Security State

snip: What did U.S. and NATO officials think — that people would simply remain where they were so that they could get blown to bits with the bombs that were being dropped on them, by the U.S. assassination program, or by the massive civil-war violence that came as a result of the U.S. and NATO regime-change operations?

People don’t ordinarily behave in that fashion. Most people prefer to live rather than die and will do anything they can to survive. That’s why those refugees fled to Europe— to escape the horrific consequences of interventionism by NATO and the U.S. national security state in the Middle East.

I wonder if deep down, those who are lamenting and groaning about the Brexit vote realize that: If there had been no U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, no regime change in Libya, no U.S. and NATO bombing and interventionism in Syria, there wouldn’t have been a massive refugee crisis in Europe and, almost certainly, a rejection of Brexit by a majority of British voters.

Ottawa won't say if former Ukrainian prime minister is now a Canadian citizen, as Russian media report

Late last week, a spokesperson for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada refused to comment on reports that appeared in Russian media last year saying former Ukrainian prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has been granted Canadian citizenship.

"Due to privacy concerns we cannot comment on specific cases without consent," stated IRCC spokesperson Lindsay Wemp in an email.

Reports began to appear in the spring of 2015 on English-language news websites, mostly published in Russia, that Yatsenyuk, prime minister of the troubled Eastern European country from February 27, 2014, to April 14, 2016, had along with members of his family been quietly granted Canadian citizenship in 2015 and issued Canadian passports.

Corbyn: Clowns to the left of him, jokers to the right

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am...

A political beacon is about to be extinguished unless he breaks with the doomed Labour Party and sets up on his own

Well I don’t know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain’t right,
I’m so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I’m wondering how I’ll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.
Yes I’m stuck in the middle with you,
And I’m wondering what it is I should do,
It’s so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I’m all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right…

Victory Is Possible – Israel Shamir

Brexit is a game-changing event. Now Euro-sceptics all over Europe has got fresh wind in their sails.

Few people expected the positive outcome of Brexit referendum. Among other doubters, I expected the UK government will borrow a trick from the Clinton collection, and proclaim the "Bremain" hath it.

The political establishment of both leading parties, the Tories and Labour, wished to remain in the cosy lap of the EC. This was the will of the Bank of England, and of the City of London; of the powerful media lords, of the creative minority of yuppies, of cosmopolitan intellectuals.

Over the past three decades a radical, worldwide social and political revolution has been slowly building steam. The leaders of this revolution, including those involved in the Global Slavery Index, deserve to be applauded for their courage in waging what often feels like an impossible battle. But for everyone working in this field, good intentions are not enough. Dialogue, criticism and constructive debate are also needed to move this revolution forward.

The article, in January 2013, detailed how the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, had taken over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West. The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.

Trump as the ‘Relative Peace Candidate’

The danger to the rest of us is not Trump, but Hillary Clinton. She is no maverick. She embodies the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted ‘exceptionalism’ is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face.”

Hillary Clinton has shown no real remorse over her support for neocon “regime changes,” aggressive wars and belligerence toward Russia, leaving the oft-obnoxious Donald Trump as the relative peace candidate, says John V. Walsh.

Let us hear from these heretics, among them William Greider, Glen Ford, John Pilger, Jean Bricmont, Stephen F. Cohen and William Blum. Their words are not to be construed as “endorsements,” but rather an acknowledgement of Trump’s anti-interventionist views, the impact those views are having and the alternative he poses to Hillary Clinton in the current electoral contest.

Israel's Silent Allies Are Its Worst Enemy

By now anyone even vaguely aware of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has heard the phrase ''the new anti-Semitism.'' It is a clever propaganda piece aimed at anyone who dares criticize Israel for its illegal occupation of the West Bank and its continued brutalization of Palestinians in Gaza.

But in the space of two days, new critics emerged from within the highest positions of Israel state power. Moshe Ya'alon -- until recently the Israeli Defence Minister -- and Major General Yair Golan, the Israeli army's deputy chief of staff, confirmed what many of Israel's most vociferous (and vilified) critics have been saying for years: that Israel is heading down the road of extremism and racism.

Golan issued a warning that linked attitudes and actions in pre-war Germany with trends in Israel today. ''It's scary to see horrifying developments that took place in Europe begin to unfold here,'' he said.

Radioactive Ranchers? Elements Found Downwind of Intensive Fracking

The companies were drilling lateral wells, which turn 90 degrees and travel for kilometres underground, extending under people's barns and homes. (Tight oil costs more to extract and produces lower quantities of oil.)

As industry fracked these deep, far-reaching wells with millions of gallons of water, toxic chemicals, and sand under high pressure and then burned off unwanted raw gas, the Hawkwoods and many of their neighbours began complaining about noxious emissions and earth tremors.

Some officials with the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) initially responded to general complaints in the region by saying fracking was proven and safe and that it couldn't cause earthquakes -- claims now proven false by a variety of scientific studies.

Canada's lone working submarine has stopped working again. (They bought their subs used from the Brits)

During a recent sail on board HMCS Windsor, the Star had a chance to see firsthand the complexities of running the diesel-electric subs.

News of the sub’s aborted Atlantic crossing comes as the federal government has dramatically boosted maintenance budget to keep the four submarines operational until 2023.

Higher than expected repair bills have forced Ottawa to add $900 million to the budget, bringing the total service contract to $2.6 billion until 2023.

Yet this latest problem means that none of Canada’s four submarines are mission-ready. HMCS Corner Brook is undergoing heavy maintenance, which is expected to take until 2018. Hillary Clinton: Electing a Foreign Spy for President?

As Sherlock Holmes would say, “We are entering in deep waters, Watson”.

The executive leadership now faces the problem of how to deal with a traitor, who may be the Democratic Party nominee for US President. How do the executive leadership and intelligence agencies back a foreign spy for president, who has been deeply compromised and can be blackmailed? This may explain why the FBI, NSA, and CIA hesitate to press charges; hesitate to even seriously investigate, despite the obvious nature of her offenses. Most of all it explains why there is no indication of the identity of Secretary Clinton’s correspondents in the various reports so far available.

Even as Hillary Clinton closes in on the Democratic nomination, facts continue to emerge indicating that her sloppy email practices may have endangered secrets, including the identities of covert operatives, writes Peter Van Buren.

These are facts. You can look at the source documents yourself. This is not opinion, conjecture, or rumor. Hillary Clinton transmitted the names of American intelligence officials via her unclassified email.

From a series of Clinton emails, numerous names were redacted in the State Department releases with the classification code “B3 CIA PERS/ORG,” a highly specialized classification that means the information, if released, would violate the Central Intelligence Act of 1949 by exposing the names of CIA officials.

Electing a Foreign Spy for President?

As Sherlock Holmes would say, “We are entering in deep waters, Watson”.

There are several lines of inquiry against Mme. Clinton:
