Ari Fleischer Lied, and People Died

Ari Fleischer, the former White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush, ignited a firestorm of controversy Wednesday when, while commenting on the 16th anniversary of the U.S invasion of Iraq, he sought to defend the reputation of his boss when it came to the veracity of the claims about Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) that underpinned President Bush’s case for war.

“The Iraq war began sixteen years ago tomorrow,” Fleischer tweeted on March 19. “There is a myth about the war that I have been meaning to set straight for years. After no WMDs were found, the left claimed ‘Bush lied. People died.’ This accusation itself is a lie. It’s time to put it to rest.”

It Was All a Lie

The short version? Mueller is done. His report unambiguously states there was no collusion or obstruction. He was allowed to follow every lead unfettered in an investigation of breathtaking depth.

It cannot be clearer. The report summary states, “The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 US Presidential Election…the report does not recommend any further indictments, nor did the Special Counsel obtain any sealed indictments that have yet to be made public.”

Robert Mueller did not charge any Americans with collusion, coordination, or criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. The special counsel also considered whether members of the Trump campaign “coordinated,” a much lower standard defined as an “agreement, tacit or express,” with Russian election interference activities. They did not.

Banning of manifesto raises free speech debate in N. Zealand

New Zealanders are debating the limits of free speech after their chief censor banned the 74-page manifesto written and released by the man accused of slaughtering 50 people at two mosques in the city of Christchurch.

The ban, issued Saturday, means anybody caught with the document on their computer could face up to 10 years in prison, while anyone caught sending it could face 14 years. Some say the ban goes too far and risks lending both the document and the gunman mystique.

At the same time, many local media organizations are debating whether to even name the Australian man charged with murder in the March 15 attacks, 28-year-old Brenton Tarrant, after New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern vowed she would never mention him by name.

In some ways, Tarrant’s manifesto provides the greatest insight into his character and thinking, with neighbors and those he met in a gym in the sleepy seaside town of Dunedin recalling nothing particularly remarkable about him.

How the Media Distort News From Venezuela

Whenever officials in Washington, D.C. set out to overthrow a foreign government, mainstream US media outlets are there to give a helping hand. All pretense of fairness and balance disappear in favor of outrageous distortion. For the most recent example, let’s look at Venezuela.

Both high-level Republicans and Democrats have decided it’s time for Venezuela, with the world’s largest oil reserves, to rejoin the US sphere of influence. Hawks may call for direct military intervention while doves seek punishing sanctions, but all agree that the elected government of President Nicolas Maduro has got to go.

Faith No More: America’s Trust in Mainstream Media Hits Rock Bottom

Gone are the days when US consumers looked to the nightly news and print media as a trusted source of information, and especially if they hold conservative views, according to a new poll by the Columbia Journalism Review.

Things are going from bad to worse for the US legacy media as its trust credentials have reached an all-time new low, as if that were possible. It has even achieved a lower trust rating than lawyers and members of Congress.

The introduction to the CJR poll provided the following ominous opening: "For decades, we’ve known that Americans don’t trust the press. What we haven’t known is how people view the makings of journalism, from the use of fact checkers and anonymous sources to the question of whether money skews journalistic decision-making. This new national poll for CJR answers those questions, and points to how big the trust gap remains."

Indeed, the cynicism on the street should have every mainstream media purveyor in a state of absolute panic.

The Mueller Report Is In. They Were Wrong. We Were Right.

The Robert Mueller investigation which monopolized political discourse for two years has finally concluded, and his anxiously awaited report has been submitted to Attorney General William Barr. The results are in and the debate is over: those advancing the conspiracy theory that the Kremlin has infiltrated the highest levels of the US government were wrong, and those of us voicing skepticism of this were right.

The contents of the report are still secret, but CNN’s Justice Department reporter Laura Jarrett has told us all we need to know, tweeting, “Special Counsel Mueller is not recommending ANY further indictments am told.” On top of that, William Barr said in a letter to congressional leaders that there has been no obstruction of Mueller’s investigation by Justice Department officials.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now is the time for the GOP to go on the offensive. It has already started with Lindsey Graham calling for investigations into the FISA warrants and to just where the accusations of collusion came from.

It's Mueller time!

Israel mobilizes after Gaza rocket strike, Netanyahu cuts U.S. visit short

Israel and Hamas are on the brink of war – again – just two weeks before Israelis go to the polls to decide whether or not to reelect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Seven people were wounded Monday after a family home north of Tel Aviv was hit by a long-range rocket from the Gaza Strip. The IDF immediately prepared to call up troops and Netanyahu canceled his AIPAC appearance, cutting short his celebratory visit with Trump - to laud U.S. recognition of Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights.

As Chemi Shalev notes, Hamas knew exactly how to rain on Netanyahu’s victory parade. Netanyahu’s rivals were quick to pile on blame and chip away at his security image. Amos Harel explains how this all comes just a day after Netanyahu, in a botched TV interview, raised new questions about his involvement in the ‘submarine and state secrets’ scandal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The timing is just too cute. This does not help HAMAS. It helps Netanyahu! This coming weekend is the one year anniversary of the Great March of Return where a million Gazans are expected to march along the fence. An Israeli attack would derail that.

And apparently, that Iron Dome system didn't work. In fact there is no mention of it even being used. This smells like a classic Israeli false flag.

According to the publication, the plan involves the use dormant cells located in the West, also known as sleeper cells, to carry out the attacks. In the last number of years, there have been a number of terrorist attacks in Europe.

16 Years Later, How the Press That Sold the Iraq War Got Away With It

The myths had enormous utility to the working press, whose gargantuan errors have been re-cast as honest mistakes of judgment. A lot of the people who made those mistakes are still occupying prominent positions, their credibility undamaged thanks to a new legend best articulated by New Yorker editor David Remnick, who later scoffed, “Nobody got that story completely right.”

Nobody except the record number of people who marched against the war on February 15, 2003 — conservative estimates placed it between six and ten million worldwide (I marched in D.C.). Every one of those people was way ahead of Remnick.

Russia Gives US Red Line On Venezuela

At a high-level meeting in Rome this week, it seems that Russia reiterated a grave warning to the US – Moscow will not tolerate American military intervention to topple the Venezuelan government with whom it is allied.

Meanwhile, back in Washington DC, President Donald Trump was again bragging that the military option was still on the table, in his press conference with Brazilian counterpart Jair Bolsonaro. Trump is bluffing or not yet up to speed with being apprised of Russia’s red line.

The meeting in the Italian capital between US “special envoy” on Venezuelan affairs Elliot Abrams and Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov had an air of urgency in its arrangement. The US State Department announced the tête-à-tête only three days beforehand. The two officials also reportedly held their two-hour discussions in a Rome hotel, a venue indicating ad hoc arrangement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am hoping and praying, that President Trump "sees the light" of non-intervention in this situation.

But if he does not, and Abrams, Bolton, and Pompeo urge him to go into Venezuela, guns blazing, this country will most likely find itself in a war of attrition in a jungle environment, in which our military does not generally fare quite well (Anyone at the White House remember the Vietnam War?!? Thought not.)

Trump's CIA Now Unbound And Back To Its Traditional Hijinks

Authored by Wayne Madsen via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

Under the directorship of torture and black site maven Gina Haspel, Donald Trump’s Central Intelligence Agency has returned to its traditional roots of conducting “black bag” operations and disrupting electrical grids through cyber-attacks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have been profoundly disappointed in Haspel's having been nominated, and confirmed, as head of the CIA; President Trump knew what an "interesting piece of work she was", professionally, yet put her name into consideration, and she got confirmed anyway.

Taking down Venezuela's electricity grid, if in fact the US did it (and at this point, given the lust for Venezuela's oil reserves our leaders want to control, I think it points to a US plot) is absolutely an act of war.

Unfortunately, however, I am concerned that the mayhem may continue in many other formats, until the current Maduro government resigns, and Gaido's US puppets are "anointed" as Venezuela's "true government"

Russia has stated, incontrovertibly, that they will "protect their interests" in Venezuela.

At the worst of it, we may see war break out between Russia and the US government forces, at some time in the near future, which would be horrific in the extreme; and I say this, because at this point in their history, the American military doesn't have the weaponry; the manufacturing, the money, or the troop strength to insure a positive outcome in such a war.

Mueller Report: 'US Forced EU to Follow Through on Sanctions Without Proof'

I think for many it is an anticlimax, absolutely. There's so much invested here. Two plus years, millions of dollars, political capital on both sides, and you've got people who have lost their livelihoods. A lot of the people that were brought in, their names exposed, their reputations were damaged. We've got the six people that have been charged [for] things that happened ten years ago; some are financially ruined now; some will spend time in jail for lying to Congress or lying to the FBI over minor financial things that may have gone unnoticed without this.

You look at the other side too, and we've got damage to international relations, not just with Russia, where what has occurred is just outrageous, but also Europe. I mean we forced Europe to follow through on sanctions that there's no evidence for. They've lost business as a result of that, so I'm sure the Europeans will be quite interested in seeing more and learning more about what's coming out of this as well.

US Completely Invalidates All Of Its Own Arguments About Crimea

Authored by Caitlin Johnstone via Medium.com,

Well the worst Putin Puppet of all time is at it again, this time tweeting that the US must recognize the Golan Heights as part of Israel despite the fact that the Israeli occupation of that Syrian land is illegal under international law.

“After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!”, Trump’s tweetreads.

Russian parliament member Oleg Morozov made a statement in response to Trump’s proclamation, saying that “Russia will never agree to recognize Israeli sovereignty in the Golan. Trump is damaging the international community and the Arab world”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia never "annexed Crimea"

What happened was the following.

President Obama admitted that the US had been part of the movement to regime change Crimea, with the throwing under the proverbial bus its duly elected leader, Yanukovich, under the bus, in favor of Poroshenko. President Obama confesses, in an interview on CNN, that the US was behind the Ukrainian coup deal, installing President Poroshenko

At that point, leadership in Crimea understood that there was no legitimate government in Kiev, and did two things at that point.

First, they held a referendum for the Crimean people, asking if they wanted to stay with Ukraine, post-putch, or petition the Russian federation for membership.

Overwhelmingly, the Crimean people, in a very clean vote, observed by local and foreign representatives, to leave Ukraine, and petition the Russian Federation for membership. The Russian Federation accepting Crimea's membership, and all was well.

That is, except for the US huffing and puffing that the Crimean people had no right to peaceful self determination, as stated in the UN Charter, to which the US is I(allegedly) a signatory. The US cannot have it both ways; if they cannot commit to supporting the UN charter, it might as well withdraw its membership to the organization.

There was zero annexation here, but a real-world expression of that freedom for self-determiniation by the Crimean people.

On the other hand, the Golan Heights was seized by Israel, with the citizens of the Golan given no right to any representation whatsoever, except under Israeli edict.

This is an occupation, and an annexation, which is the polar opposite of what happened in Crimea, after the Western-orchestrated Putch put Poroshenko in power in Kiev.

The Chilling Censorship of the Christchurch Shooting

Serious concerns have arisen over how New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has handled the recent Christchurch mosques massacre. And they don’t just involve her calls for stricter gun control and decision to ban all semi-automatic rifles.

In the wake of the attacks, the prime minister promised to keep the murderer “nameless,” and the internet promptly obliged by flushing the perpetrator’s identity down the memory hole. New Zealanders’ access to online material about him was blocked. In what has become standing operating procedure after mass attacks, social media accounts connected to the perpetrator disappeared. Internet service providers in New Zealand blocked access to sites like 4chan, 8chan, LiveLeak, and the file-sharing site Mega if the sites did not take down material related to the shooting.

"It Was Go, Go, Go": Boeing Rushed 737 MAX Design In Race With Airbus

A major decision that Boeing made almost a decade ago has resulted in the greatest threat to the aerospace giant's reputation and the bottom line at the company after two major plane crashes in just under six months.

Back in 2011, American Airlines, who was an exclusive Boeing customer for more than 10 years, was getting ready to defect from the company in favor of purchasing hundreds of new jets from Airbus, according to The New York Times. Airbus had been stealing market share from Boeing for several years, and losing American Airlines would have been a crushing blow, costing billions of dollars in lost sales and thousands of jobs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Rushing design on as complicated a craft as was the 737, almost guaranteed that something was going to go wrong, and unfortunately, those flaws cost hundreds of lives; I frankly think that Boeing may not be able to recover, because of a cascade of class-action lawsuits against them on this issue.

UK Coup Erupts: Theresa May Cabinet In Revolt, Plotting Her Imminent Overthrow

Theresa May may have days, if not hours, left as prime minister of the UK following a full-blown cabinet coup on Saturday night as senior ministers moved to oust the UK prime minister and replace her with her deputy, David Lidington.

According to the Sunday Times, following a "frantic series of private telephone calls", senior ministers agreed the prime minister must announce she is standing down, warning that she has become a toxic and “erratic” figure whose judgment has "gone haywire."

The plotters reportedly plan to confront May at a cabinet meeting on Sunday and demand that she announces she is quitting. If she refuses, they will threaten mass resignations or publicly demand her head. The "conspirators" were locked in talks late on Saturday to try reach a consensus deal on a new prime minister so there does not have to be a protracted leadership contest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, at the end of the day, there is no Brexit, the British people who voted for it, will be very, very angry, with a profound sense of betrayal by Parliament.

And as to what form that anger might take, I do not know. But to organizers, of any protest, make sure that those demonstrating are completely peaceful; if they are not, that will only encourage the military and police to start shooting to kill on site.

Taibbi: It's Official - 'Russiagate' Is This Generation's WMD

Authored by Matt Taibbi, excerpted from his serial book Hate Inc.,

The Iraq war faceplant damaged the reputation of the press. Russiagate just destroyed it...

Note to readers: in light of news that Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation is complete, I’m releasing this chapter of Hate Inc. early, with a few new details added up top.

Nobody wants to hear this, but news that Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller is headed home without issuing new charges is a death-blow for the reputation of the American news media.

As has long been rumored, the former FBI chief’s independent probe will result in multiple indictments and convictions, but no “presidency-wrecking” conspiracy charges, or anything that would meet the layman’s definition of “collusion” with Russia.

With the caveat that even this news might somehow turn out to be botched, the key detail in the many stories about the end of the Mueller investigation was best expressed by the New York Times:

Webmaster's Commentary:

The independent media, like WRH, called it from the beginning; a smear job with utterly no substance, to attempt to derail Trump before the 2020 elections.

Yes, there were convictions along the way, allowing Mueller to notch a couple more convictions into his belt; but nothing which ever tied President Trump to Russia.

Such A Deal: US Embassy in Iraq Hosting Washington-Tel Aviv Operations Room against Region

A prominent Iraqi security expert revealed intensifying US pressures on Baghdad to avoid approving a bill that envisages expulsion of foreign forces, saying that the American embassy in Iraq is acting as the US-Israeli operations room against the region.
Abbas al-Ardawi was quoted by the Arabic-language al-Ma'alomeh news website as saying on Monday that the US administration is exerting pressures on Baghdad and killing time to prolong its deployment in Iraq.

He added that relocation of terrorists from the town of Baqouz in Eastern Syria to the US bases in Iraq is aimed at security tensions in the country and finding a pretext for continued deployment of American forces, noting that the Iraqi parliamentarians certainly want expulsion of all US forces from the country as soon as possible given the fact that the Iraqi army is fully prepared to fight against the terrorist groups.

Chuck Rosenberg: Trump Circle Not Out Of The Woods On Potential Charges | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Webmaster's Commentary:

The corporate media (yes, even FOX) are pushing the line that just because Mueller didn't find any evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia doesn't mean it did not happen. Logically, they are correct; you cannot prove a negative.

That being said, in our system one is presumed innocent until proof is provided beyond a reasonable doubt. Since this debacle began, the corporate media and Democrats have returned to code Napoleon; presuming Trump guilty and demanding he prove he is innocent.

I have to wonder if the current spin on the Mueller report, that it does not exonerate the President, is because of their hate of him, or more about trying to save face after being proven wrong all these months.

WITH A HARD BREXIT LOOMING, UK INVITES 10,000 FOREIGN TROOPS OVER FOR MILITARY EXERCISES

As the drama over Brexit continues to reach new heights, the U.K. government has raised eyebrows by announcing that it will host 10,000 foreign troops for a massive military exercise beginning the day after Brexit had been set to take place.

The announcement of the exercise has raised the specter of a post-Brexit “martial law” scenario, given that the Theresa May-led government has been examining the possibility of declaring martial law in the country in the event of a no-deal Brexit since at least this January.

According to a government press release, the NATO-affiliated military exercise known as “Joint Warrior” will take place from March 30 until April 11 and will see the U.K. host 10,000 soldiers as well as 35 warships, five submarines, and 59 aircraft and helicopters. Thirteen countries will participate, including the United States, France and Germany, and the exercise will occur in areas spaced throughout Scotland, Wales and England.

PENTAGON: WE’RE BUYING BOEING F-15S TO KEEP 2 FIGHTER MAKERS IN BUSINESS

The decision to buy new Boeing F-15s reflects the Pentagon’s desire to keep two American companies making fighter jets into the next decade — and not the acting defense secretary’s ties to the company, a senior defense official said Friday.

The 2020 budget request contains $1.1 billion to buy eight F-15X jets, a new variant of an aircraft the Air Force last bought nearly a decade ago. The twin-tailed plane was chosen over Lockheed’s cheaper single-engine F-16 in part to keep a second U.S.manufacturer in the tactical-jet business as the Pentagon begins exploring new technologies for a new generation of warplanes, the official said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I certainly hope, for the sake of our military, that these planes won't go down like those Boeing 737 did, and that FAA inspections are in place to make sure that they do NOT go down in flames.

ERG SLAM BBC PRESENTER’S ‘OUTRAGEOUS’ CLAIM THEY WOULD BE IN THE FRONT NATIONAL

Tory MPs are absolutely livid after BBC presenter Jim Naughtie said on Today this morning that the ERG would be in the Front National if they were in France or the AfD in Germany:

“The ERG, Jacob Rees-Mogg’s group, in France would be in the National Front because that’s what they believe and in Germany they would be in the AfD. It’s only because of our system that the carapace of this party keeps them in…”

Former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith has slammed Naughtie’s “outrageous” comments and called for him to withdraw his “misleading and untrue” remarks:

“It’s outrageous for a supposedly neutral BBC commentator to suggest the ERG represent an extremist view. They are in fact representing the majority view of the country – that the UK should leave the EU and its institutions. Conservative politicians who feel strongly about Brexit are decent, tolerant, and completely opposed to racism in every form. Mr Naughtie needs to withdraw his remarks. 'RIOTS, DEATH, EVACUATION': Wild No-Deal Brexit Headlines Amid UK Media Frenzy

With Brexit negotiations drawing to a close and the possibility of crashing out from the European Union without a deal dawning on the UK, the variety of eerie UK media news stories by professing doomsday has been quite remarkable.

Theresa May's government has been battling the UK Parliament and the EU chiefs across the English Channel to settle on a Brexit strategy suitable for all. The consensus among Downing Street, MPs and businesses alike has largely been against a no-deal Brexit, with the mainstream media in the UK fuelling or perpetuating fear of what would happen if Theresa May fails to bring a Brexit deal across the line.

In the recent headlines by The Times and the Mirror Online, reported that the Queen and other senior royals will be evacuated from London in the event of a no-deal, which would also see riots erupting on the streets.

Cohen's statement follow's last week termination of SPLC co-founder Morris Dees. Cohen last week said Dees failed to adhere to the organization's "values," hinting broadly at misconduct. The Los Angeles Times reported the resignation of an assistant legal director in recent weeks over race and gender equity concerns may have acted as a catalyst for Dees' removal.

On The Anniversary Of The Iraq Invasion, Bush Press Secretary Claims Bush Didn’t Lie

On the sixteenth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, as the US government threatens punitive action against International Criminal Court investigators for attempting to look into US war crimes, former George W Bush administration Press Secretary Ari Fleischer has decided to publish a Twitter thread claiming that Bush did not lie to the world about Iraq.

Here is a transcript of the full thread by Fleischer:

The Iraq war began sixteen years ago tomorrow. There is a myth about the war that I have been meaning to set straight for years. After no WMDs were found, the left claimed “Bush lied. People died.” This accusation itself is a lie. It’s time to put it to rest.

When They Don’t Ignore, US Media Often Disparage Palestinians’ Right of Return

For many years, US corporate media have consistently failed to adequately inform audiences about the Palestinian right of return.

Even though the refugees are a crucial reason that the issue of Israel/Palestine remains unresolved, only a small portion of the coverage addresses the right of return. I used the media aggregator Factiva to search the databases of three major US newspapers: the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. In a combined search of these three publications, Factiva returns results for 45,285 pieces that mention the Palestinian issue over the last ten years. Of these, only 624 contain the phrase “right of return.” In other words, since March 2009 these outlets have published 44,661 articles that bring up the Palestinian question while omitting a phrase that is absolutely integral to it, and one of the main reasons that it remains unresolved.

Israel says U.N. Gaza war crimes report biased against it

Israel said on Thursday a U.N. report critical of its use of lethal force during Palestinian protests on the Gaza border was biased and should have included a demand that the enclave’s dominant Hamas group take action to stop anti-Israeli violence.

A U.N. Commission of Inquiry on the demonstrations, which began nearly a year ago, said this week that Israel should investigate the shootings of more than 6,000 people, far beyond the criminal inquiries it has announced into 11 killings.

A million deaths later, Bush spokesman defends boss on Iraq

Ari Fleischer, a press secretary for President George W. Bush, marked the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq with a full-bore effort on Twitter to exonerate his former boss of the charge that his administration invented the rationale for a war that has cost countless lives.

“The Iraq war began sixteen years ago tomorrow,” wrote Fleischer. “There is a myth about the war that I have been meaning to set straight for years. After no WMDs [weapons of mass destruction] were found, the left claimed ‘Bush lied. People died.’ This accusation itself is a lie. It's time to put it to rest.”

Eight Years of Corrosive Lies about Syria

But, then I come across another story about Syria in the Wall Street Journal, suggesting that the United States may leave 1,000 troops in that country after all. The president, if you’ll remember, announced a complete withdrawal of troops from Syria months ago. Then, weeks later the White House announced that a small force of 200 would stay behind. Now, the Journal was reporting that it would actually be 1,000. A few hours later the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff said the original plan remained unchanged.

I realized that I no longer knew what to believe.

Fox's Pete Hegseth: Democrats skipping AIPAC convention "are at some level anti-Israel or maybe anti-Semitic"

You describe MoveOn.org as a far-left group. MoveOn.org is now the Democrat Party. I mean, that's where they've become, now they're the soul of the Democrat Party. Just like the Justice Democrats, just like CAIR, just like all these radical groups that have captured the Democratic Party -- that's who they're kowtowing too. And maybe they think it works in a general, I think you're right, it doesn't ultimately work in a general election. AIPAC also is not an extreme right-wing, pro-Israel group. This is the group that plays it down the middle as best they can, trying to create a bipartisan consensus of Republicans and Democrats. If you won't go to AIPAC, you are at some level anti-Israel or maybe anti-Semitic. We have seen the comments. I'm not saying they are.

Rob Reiner’s Role In the Russia Collusion Smear

As Bonchie covered yesterday, Glenn Simpson and Christopher Steele — they of the now almost-totally discredited Steele dossier — have been working for some time to continue pushing Russia collusion stories to the press and Capitol Hill staffers through the Orwellian-named Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP).

One of those backers is legitimately a household name (or, at least, was a household name): Rob Reiner, Meathead himself. From the RCI piece:

Trump Tweet on British Opens Spring Offensive Against the Coup

March 20, 2019 - It has become entirely clear over the past 24 hours that the President and his defenders are on an all out offensive ahead of the release of the Mueller report, which many state is coming very soon. The President opened this campaign by attacking John McCain as part of the Russiagate fraud against him and went on to attack the British instigators and sustainers of the coup. On March 18, the President retweeted a tweet by William Craddick of Disobedient Media. Disobedient Media is one of the few outfits other than LaRouchePAC, and the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, with the guts to question the foundational premise of the coup, that the Russians hacked the DNC and Clinton Campaign Chair John Podesta. Craddick had tweeted, "Russiagate was designed in part to help the UK counter Russian influence by baiting the United States into taking a hard line against them. Leaves us all with a more dangerous world as a consequence.

Goodbye to the Internet: Interference by Governments Is Already Here

Be that as it may, if there were a modern version of the Rothschild comment it might go something like this: “Give me control of the internet and no one will ever more know what is true.” The internet, which was originally conceived of as a platform for the free interchange of information and opinions, is instead inexorably becoming a managed medium that is increasingly controlled by corporate and government interests. Those interests are in no way answerable to the vast majority of the consumers who actually use the sites in a reasonable and non-threatening fashion to communicate and share different points of view.

Iraqi Parliament Prepares to Evict US Troops

US military's presence in Iraq falling out of favor across several political blocs.

In the wake of the ISIS War in Iraq, Pentagon officials will tell you what they’ve been saying all along, that America’s intention is to stay in Iraq, and that there is no consideration being given to leaving. It’s not clear the US has spoken to the Iraqi government about this, however.

While many Iraqis accepted the offer of help in the more desperate moments of the ISIS War, the US military has quickly worn out its welcome. Across a number of major political blocs in Iraq, there is growing consensus that the US, and indeed all foreign military forces, need to go.

This has been brewing for months. The Iraqis saw Trump’s visit to Iraq, during which he didn’t meet the Iraqi PM, as a sign of disrespect. That the Pentagon keeps insisting they’re staying in Iraq, without asking the Iraqis, only adds to the sense that the US isn’t really an invited guest in any real sense.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, folks, it appears that the US President and Military are both suffering from an acute, collective case of SMD (selective memory disorder), about the one guy who got the US military out of Iraq the first time, and now is one of the most powerful people in Iraq who holds no governmental office; Muktada Al Sadr.

Let's take a gentle WRH ride in our way-back machine to last year, and the following article, describing the win of his coalition in the Iraqi parliament last year:

Muqtada al Sadr's win in Iraq, is dredging up tough memories for US soldiers

Please remember; he was the official head of the Mahdi Army, which fought the US military tooth and nail, and then, in 2017 this was disbanded: Iraq disbands what used to be known as the "Mahdi Army

Mr. President, I am strongly cautioning you (not that you appear to be listening, but ... God loves His optimists) on this issue, to show the Iraqi government, and its military, just a small bit of respect, and I ask this for the following reasons.

Although the Mahdi Army has been officially disbanded, please don't bet on this Imam's NOT being capable of"pulling the band back together", if he believes, for one second, that the US government wants to occupy Iraq forever, which, it appears, is really the goal, to control who gets Iraq's oil, and in what currency it will be sold.

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against him doing this, sir; and he and his people know every inch of the country. And if he does this, how are you going to respond?!? With a second invasion of Iraq, let's say, Iraq 2.0- the "golden cut"?!?

Nine Years After Obama Snub, Trump Rolls Out Red Carpet for Netanyahu

President Donald J. Trump will host Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House next week, displaying a significant shift in policy from President Obama.

Netanyahu will join Trump for a working meeting on March 25 during which they will “discuss their countries’ shared interests and actions in the Middle East,” according to the White House press release Wednesday. The U.S. President will then host Netanyahu at a dinner on March 26. This will be Netanyahu’s third visit to the Trump White House.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Every time Prime Minister Netanyahu uses his "frequent flyer miles" to get to DC, I get nervous, because, most usually, that means yet another misguided military intervention into a country to which the US military was not invited, like Syria, for example; and trust me, the US is not thinking of leaving there anytime soon, be the troop compliment at 400, or 1,000.

I don't know if any of our readers saw this on Faux TV, but the lower crawl indicated the Trump had tweeted that the Golan Heights should be considered as Israeli territory, possibly giving Netanyahu a "US-Generated lift" before ISraeli elections, which happen 9 April this year.

It was also yet another way to stick a finger in the eye of the Syrian government, the Syrian people, and Bashar Al-Assad, simultaneously, as well.

AS RUSSIA COLLUSION FADES, UKRAINIAN PLOT TO HELP CLINTON EMERGES

After nearly three years and millions of tax dollars, the Trump-Russia collusion probe is about to be resolved. Emerging in its place is newly unearthed evidence suggesting another foreign effort to influence the 2016 election — this time, in favor of the Democrats.

Ukraine’s top prosecutor divulged in an interview aired Wednesday on Hill.TV that he has opened an investigation into whether his country’s law enforcement apparatus intentionally leaked financial records during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign about then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort in an effort to sway the election in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Ukraine Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko’s probe was prompted by a Ukrainian parliamentarian's release of a tape recording purporting to quote a top law enforcement official as saying his agency leaked the Manafort financial records to help Clinton's campaign.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Et Tu, Hillary?!?

One has to love reeking stench of hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle; and NO, it doesn't smell like "teen spirit". It frankly smells more like industrial strength fertilizer.

BETO O’ROURKE SLAMS BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, SAYING ISRAEL HAS “OPENLY SIDED WITH RACISTS”

Beto O’Rourke denied on Tuesday that donations from supporters of Israel had influenced his approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and denounced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in stark terms, saying that Israel’s leader had “openly sided with racists.”

Beto taking the gloves off against Bibi… pic.twitter.com/QJascMyILA

— Jacob Kornbluh ? (@jacobkornbluh) March 20, 2019

As the Texas Tribune correspondent Patrick Svitek reported, the comments came during an event at Keene State College in New Hampshire, after O’Rourke was asked about rumors that he had taken “pro-Israel lobbyist money” during his failed Senate run in 2018.

O’Rourke explained that, in fact, he had taken no money from political action committees in that race — although J Street, a pro-Israel lobbying group that aids candidates who favor a two-state solution and oppose the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, helped solicit $170,000 in individuals donations to his campaign.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Beto, you cannot have it both ways.

And after this major public criticism of Israel, Beto's geopolitical career may well be close to over; AIPAC will insure that he gets eaten alive, well before the Democratic nominee is "chosen" (most probably by the party, but not by the people.)

Amazon Bans Nation of Islam's Books on History of Jewish Abuses Against Blacks

The banning of four Nation of Islam Black history books by Amazon, the largest bookseller in the world, provides a perfect opportunity to examine the wickedly racist ways Jewish power is wielded in America. Amazon provided no warning, no reason, no hearing, and no opportunity to respond—it was a blatant mockery of Amazon founder Jeffrey Bezos’s own creed, “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” It is, however, perfect proof of what The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said: the mental resurrection of Black people will anger our oppressors and cause them to react punitively and viciously.

Trump Didn't Call Neo-Nazis 'Fine People.' Here's Proof

News anchors and pundits have repeated lies about Donald Trump and race so often that some of these narratives seem true, even to Americans who embrace the fruits of the president’s policies. ARMORED POLICE RIOT SQUADS WILL NOW PATROL MIAMI BEACH SPRING BREAK CROWDS

Tension between South Beach spring breakers and older, whiter, richer, and stodgier residents has been leading up to this moment for years.

But yesterday's revelation was still shocking. Miami Beach officials announced that for the rest of spring break, 25-member teams of police in riot gear will patrol Ocean Drive and the beaches. And the city will park police vans, ATVs, and barricades on the beach to chuck noncompliant visitors into paddy wagons and cart them off to jail.

After an emergency commission meeting yesterday, police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez confirmed roving bands of cops will be "wearing protective gear, helmets, and will be equipped with shields." He added police vans will be parked "on the sand" to rapidly detain misbehaving revelers. The news was disclosed midway through a Miami Herald article about spring break.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could possibly create riot situations, which would be horrifically dangerous for these kids, who would have no way out to make it to safety.

AFTER BLOCKING ZERO HEDGE AND OTHERS, NZ TELCOS DEMAND BIG-TECH CENSORSHIP SURGE TO “PROTECT CONSUMERS”

People are emailing me about these bans.

I just now browsed (on a remote machine under my control) ZeroHedge, Gab and Dissenter without any problems on Spark, the largest ISP in NZ. Also, my small, regional ISP has not blocked any of these sites.

Whatever is happening with regard to sites being blocked in NZ, it’s definitely not consistent for everyone here.

Since I’m not experiencing any bans, I can’t say how to bypass this for sure, however, it might be as simple as changing your DNS settings to use any of several public DNS services. I recommend CloudFlare’s public DNS.

If you’re more technically adept, or if your ISP is using a transparent DNS proxy and won’t let you use an alternate DNS, you might want to check out DNSCrypt.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Guaido's Chief Of Staff Detained By Venezuelan Intelligence In Pre-Dawn Raid

Two days after Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido's "government-in-waiting" forcibly took possession of three diplomatic facilities in the United States with the blessing of Washington, and following what many observers speculate are a series of US aggressive maneuvers paving the way for military intervention, Maduro's security forces have begun arresting members of Guaido's staff.

According to Reuters Venezuelan intelligence agents have arrested and detained Guaido's own chief of staff, Roberto Marrero, as well as opposition legislator Sergio Vergara.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word of observation; when one hires the geopolitical and military equivalent of the Keystone cops, what one gets at the end of the day... is "Keystone Cop results"; that is everything you didn't want from such an intervention, and nothing you do.

It appears that everything that could have gone wrong with your point man in Venezuela has, and is about continue to go wrong henceforward.

Let me ask; is the US State Department still creating foreign policy by throwing darts at a dart board, in some dank basement no one in the bowels of DC wants to visit, ever?!?

Perhaps, sir, it just might be time to change that policy, to something which one could at least, on the outside, be characterized as "cohesive, moral, and prudent"?!?

Because, Mr. President, this is precisely the polar opposite of how these numb-brain actions of Guido and his goons, appear to both the Venezuelan officials, and the rest of the world.

IF any of this is getting livestreamed to Moscow, Putin is laughing his head off, amazed at the level of stupidity and arrogance these "Guidoistas" have demonstrated; and of course, these are the guys the White House is backing!!

Mr. President, it appears that US foreign policy in Venezuela has resulted, so far, in an abominable epic fail; time to cut your losses (which you used to know how to do, before you became the President), and leave.

Facebook "Explains" Why It Failed To Remove Christchurch Shooter's Gruesome Livestream

Though Facebook's AI-powered censors managed to "mistakenly" flag Zero Hedge as a repeat violator of the social network's "community standards", when it comes to livestreamed videos depicting horrific and extreme violence, the company is still working out some kinks in its ability to immediately identify and remove livestreams depicting horrific acts of terror and violence like the video published Friday by the Christchurch Shooter.

In a blog post mea culpa published Thursday, Facebook's VP of Integrity Guy Rosen explained why the company failed to immediately remove the horrifying livestream of the attacks that the shooter, a 28-year-old Australian who also published a manifesto laying out his violent, islamophobic ideology, posted to Facebook Live, and which was viewed 4,000 times before being taken down.

Doomed Boeing 737s Lacked 'Optional Safety Features'; Ethiopian Air Captain Skipped Training

The two doomed Boeing 737s which crashed under similar conditions lacked optional safety features that the aircraft manufacturer will now make standard, according to the New York Times.

For Boeing and other aircraft manufacturers, the practice of charging to upgrade a standard plane can be lucrative. Top airlines around the world must pay handsomely to have the jets they order fitted with customized add-ons.

Sometimes these optional features involve aesthetics or comfort, like premium seating, fancy lighting or extra bathrooms. But other features involve communication, navigation or safety systems, and are more fundamental to the plane’s operations.

Many airlines, especially low-cost carriers like Indonesia’s Lion Air, have opted not to buy them — and regulators don’t require them. -New York Times

Webmaster's Commentary:

Safety training should have been obligatory and mandatory; Lion Air and Boeing are both equally at fault, should this be proven true.

This may wipe Boeing off the map, economically, ini the very near term.
