Michael Flynn to testify that Trump asked him to make contact with Russians: Report

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn is reportedly planning to testify against President Trump and members of his family and intends to say then-candidate Trump told him to make contact with Russians, according to a report.

ABC News reported that Flynn, who was charged with one count of lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador, promised to cooperate fully with special counsel Robert Mueller, who is overseeing the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The former national security adviser is reportedly “distraught” about his decision to cooperate with Mueller, a decision he made within the last 24 hours, but feels he is acting in the best interest of the country. Flynn is facing legal bills topping $1 million stemming from the investigation, according to ABC News.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But were these contacts actually illegal, in the letter of the law, or were the optics, then lying about the meetings, the real problems?!?

IF President Trump does not get himself moving and initiate several major, high profile investigations into Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and Uranium One going, and quickly, the narcoracy will have won, and he may be impeached/indicted, with Pence serving out the rest of his one term.

Coalition: Over 400 US Marines to Leave Syria

According to the US-led coalition fighting ISIS, some 400 US Marines and accompanying artillery have been ordered back to the United States, with their involvement in the capture of the Syrian city of Raqqa over.

Coalition director Brig. Gen. Jonathan Braga says that the remaining forces will continue to stay in Syria to fight against ISIS or the emergence of future ISIS groups, and to assist “international governments and NGOs.”

The presence of US troops in Syria at all is a controversial one, since Syria never authorized such a deployment. US officials, however, have indicated that they don’t intend to leave, and that the deployment as such is open-ended.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the US is unable to regime change Damascus, then why is even one US service person left in Syria?!?

There is absolutely zero logical reason for this to be happening!!

Quds commander declines letter sent from CIA director, Iranian official

The commander of the Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, declined to receive and read a letter sent by CIA Director Mike Pompeo when he was in al-Boukamal, a border area between Syria and Iraq which was liberated by the Syrian regime this month, chief of staff of Iran’s Supreme Leader claimed on Thursday.

Mohamadi Gulpaigani said that the American official sent the letter to Soleimani, from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), through an intermediary.

He did not mention the time of the alleged incident, but said it happened “recently,” Fars News Agency, close to the IRGC reported.

“The head of the CIA through one of its intermediaries in the region sent a letter to General Soleimani, but he [Sleimani] responded: I will not accept your letter, nor will I read it. I have nothing to do with these people,'” Gulpaigani quoted the Iranian commander as saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Most likely, Pompeo's letter was an informal "cease and desist" order, with regard to Iranian assistance to the Syrian government against the jihadis; but not knowing the "or else" time constraints the Iranian military may have been given in this letter, may well work to their disadvantage in Syria.

Saudis Intercept Ballistic Missile Fired From Yemen

It's deja vu all over again in Saudi Arabia. Al Arabiya reports that a ballistic missile from Yemen has been intercepted on Thursday by Saudi air defense forces in southern city of Khamis Mushait in the south western province of Assir.

Huthi rebels fired a ballistic missile today that hit a military target in Saudi Arabia, rebel media in Yemen said, after the leader of the group threatened Riyadh with retaliation over a blockade.

"We confirm the success of our ballistic missile trial, which hit its military target inside Saudi Arabia," the Huthi-run Al-Masira television channel said.

Earlier, rebel chief Abdulmalik al-Huthi warned against "prolonging the blockade" imposed on Yemen following a November 4 Huthi missile attack that was intercepted near Riyadh international airport.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Somehow, in the Saudi military mindset, the rebels are not supposed to be able to hit back, in this going-on 3 year genocide against Yemen, courtesy of its butcher, Prince Salman.

Crisis Management: Top US, Chinese Generals Talk North Korea After Missile Test

The meetings were held on Wednesday and Thursday, just hours after Pyongyang's intercontinental ballistic missile test early Wednesday morning.

People's Liberation Army Maj. Gen. Shao Yuanming and the US Defense Department's Lt. Gen Richard Clarke discussed ways to improve communication channels regarding the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the South China Morning Post reports.

A Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman told SCMP Thursday that the discussion focused on crisis management but did not divulge further information. The talks were originally scheduled for August but only took place this week, according to the Hong-Kong based newspaper.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At least, high level Chinese and US military personnel are talking about it; the question is, how do they bring North Korea to the bargaining table?!?!?

My concern is, I don't think they can.

BALTIMORE POLICE NOW BLOCKING FBI FROM INVESTIGATING MURDER OF COP SET TO TESTIFY AGAINST FELLOW COPS

The Baltimore Police Department is refusing help from the FBI in the case of an officer who was murdered one day before he was set to testify against them.

In recent weeks, The Free Thought Project has been keeping a close eye on the developing case of a whistleblower with the Baltimore Police Department named Sean Suiter who was shot with his own gun the day before he was set to testify against corrupt cops within his own department.

Unlike most other shootings where police are the victims, no one has been arrested and there is no suspect to speak of. In fact, this is the only time in the history of Baltimore that a suspect in the shooting of a police officer has gone this long uncaptured.

With each day that passes, more suspicious details are uncovered which cast doubt on the official narrative that has been given by the police department since the shooting and brings suspicion upon the department itself.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks like the Boston PD has elevated police corruption to an art form!!

BRICS PLANNING ITS OWN GOLD TRADING SYSTEM

As the US and its E.U. partners continue to levy punitive sanctions on Russia, the BRICS are responding with new financial initiatives to help their members break-out of the US and European financial trading monopoly.

Currently, both China and Russia are surging ahead as the world’s top Central Bank buyers of gold, further consolidating their position to be able to weather a global dollar crisis which many expert believe is inevitable. When exactly that happens is still anyone’s guess.

NOTE: Russia is now the largest official buyer of gold – and the world’s third-biggest producer.

RT International reports…

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) are discussing the possibility of establishing a separate gold trading system, according to the First Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Central Bank Sergey Shvetsov.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why we are seeing such demonization of China and Russia; to prevent a loss of US dollar hegemony, the US government is willing to go to war to prevent this, if they deem it necessary.

Last Spring, Paul Craig Roberts shared the following report; and he is a guy who knows something about the inner workings in the Bowels of Power in DC:

Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and China

And unfortunately for President Trump and this country, all of Trump's "President Whisperers" are war-centric, as though this was the only way to resolve the US government's geopolitical conflicts, rather than good faith, moral, hard-one negotiations.

FACEBOOK’S NEW SUICIDE DETECTION A.I., COULD PUT INNOCENT PEOPLE BEHIND BARS

Imagine police knocking on your door because you posted a ‘troubling comment’ on a social media website.

Imagine a judge forcing you to be jailed, sorry I meant hospitalized, because a computer program found your comment(s) ‘troubling’.

You can stop imagining, this is really happening.

A recent TechCrunch article warns that Facebook’s “Proactive Detection” artificial intelligence (A.I.) will use pattern recognition to contact first responders. The A.I. will contact first responders, if they deem a person’s comment[s] to have troubling suicidal thoughts.

Facebook also will use AI to prioritize particularly risky or urgent user reports so they’re more quickly addressed by moderators, and tools to instantly surface local language resources and first-responder contact info.

A private corporation deciding who goes to jail? What could possibly go wrong?

Facebook’s A.I. automatically contacts law enforcement

JOHN PODESTA BITES HEAD OFF FEMINIST OVER PIZZAGATE QUESTION AT DUKE UNIVERSITY [VIDEO]

Former Clinton campaign manager John Podesta jumped down the throat of feminist and Political Science major Nicole Kiprilov in front of 300 people at Duke University Wednesday, after the undergrad asked Podesta questions about how he responds to various controversies including ‘Pizzagate,’ Uranium One, The Podesta Group, and Joule Unlimited – a now-defunct Boston green energy company Podesta sat on the board of along with to two Russian officials, which received $35 million from the Kremlin while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

Via the Duke Chronicle:

“when junior Nicole Kiprilov asked him how he was dealing with accusations of being involved with the now-debunked “Pizzagate” scandal, that he owned 75,000 “undisclosed” shares of stock from a company with Russian Kremlin ties and Uranium One being a client of the Podesta Group—among other allegations—he didn’t hold back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am completely amazed at the hubris it took to even be doing this interview, when Podesta's world is about to come crashing around him, as it will for all Clintonistas, complicit in Hillary's campaign.

EVERGREEN STATE’S STUDENT NEWSPAPER INCLUDES NO-WHITES-ALLOWED OPINION SECTION

The student newspaper at Evergreen State College has a section in its opinion pages described as “for people of color by people of color.”

“This should be a place where we can be us without it being overshadowed by the dark cloud that is living under white supremacy and having to see things from a white perspective. This is why when we do cover these issues it will be in the context and from the perspective of POC and POC only,” according to the section’s editors as they reintroduced it to readers in September.

The anonymous column, known as “POC Talk,” debuted in the bi-weekly Cooper Point Journal last year and returned this fall to the newspaper’s pages following racial unrest that erupted at the public university this past spring.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I really fear for these kids, if, when they graduate, they are not seeing themselves through the lense of self-empowerment and competency, rather than exclusion.

The whole issue of seeing "microagressions" in everything people around them are doing, is not going to get them very far in a job interview, and that is just the cold, hard reality of this world; perpetual victimhood is not something employers look for, and will shun it like the plague in potential job candidates.

Perhaps we now have the link between vaccination and autism': Professor reveals aluminium in jabs may cause sufferers to have up 10 times more of the metal in their brains than is safe

Aluminium in vaccines may cause autism, controversial new research suggests.
Autistic children have up to 10 times more of the metal in their brains than what is considered safe in adults, a study found.
Aluminium crosses the membrane that separates the brain from circulating blood and accumulates in cells involved in maintaining a constant internal environment, such as temperature, the research adds
.
Study author Professor Chris Exley from Keele University, said: 'Perhaps we now have the link between vaccination and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the link being the inclusion of an aluminium adjuvant in the vaccine.'

The researchers speculate autism sufferers may have genetic changes that cause them to accumulate aluminium which healthy people are able to remove.
The findings are controversial after the disgraced gastroenterologist Andrew Wakefield said in 1995 that the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is linked to bowel disease and autism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks like we finally have the "smoking gun" connection between autism and vaccines.

Please understand that vaccines are pushed because they are profitable for the medical/industrial complex; not because they are truly safe.

Because if vaccines were truly safe, then why did this happen?!?

THIS INTERVIEW WAS CONDUCTED ON AN ANONYMOUS, DIY CELL PHONE NETWORK

Most people in the United States—and increasingly, around the world—carry the most sophisticated surveillance devices ever created in their pockets day in and day out. Although smartphones have enabled governments and corporations to track our movements and monitor our conversations with unprecedented ease, these devices are also an incredibly useful personal tool and have become an indispensable part of modern life.

It’s a crappy trade off, but evidently one that most of us seem OK with. But Denver Gingerich, a programmer based in New York City, doesn’t see why we can’t have our smartphones and our privacy, too.

For the past few years, Gingerich has been laying the groundwork for Sopranica, an open source, DIY cell network that allows smartphone owners to make calls, send texts and eventually browse the internet with total anonymity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sounds great; but I wonder just how quickly it will be compromised by one of the US's alphabet soup agencies.

AMERICA’S MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL ADDICTION

Polls show that Americans are tired of endless wars in faraway lands, but many cheer President Trump’s showering money on the Pentagon and its contractors, a paradox that President Eisenhower foresaw, writes JP Sottile.

The Military-Industrial Complex has loomed over America ever since President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned of its growing influence during his prescient farewell address on Jan. 17, 1961. The Vietnam War followed shortly thereafter, and its bloody consequences cemented the image of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC) as a faceless cadre of profit-seeking warmongers who’ve wrested control of the foreign policy. That was certainly borne out by the war’s utter senselessness … and by tales of profiteering by well-connected contractors like Brown & Root.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given its current configuration, and its addictive "hold" over Congress and the President, the Military/Industrial complex virtually assures more wars, more deaths for Americans, and more misery for people around the world who have the absolute hubris to live over, or adjacent to, resources the US government and the corporations which own it, want to expropriate, and sell only for American dollars.

Under civil asset forfeiture, police can seize property suspected of involvement in criminal activity. Unlike criminal asset forfeiture, with civil forfeiture, people don't have to be convicted—or even charged--with a crime to permanently lose their cars, homes, or cash.

Even worse, in many cases, police get to keep what they seize through asset forfeiture. As long as cops get to keep what they seize, civil asset forfeiture will keep on spawning scandals.

So law enforcement has a strong incentive to pad their budgets and buy ridiculous things like:

RT EXCLUSIVEBlaming Russia for everything is ‘insane’ & reminiscent of McCarthyism – Oliver Stone to RT

As the US continues to accuse Russia of meddling in its presidential election, RT has spoken to filmmaker Oliver Stone about the ongoing trend of blaming Moscow for everything – from hacking Western politics to planting bots on social media.
Speaking to RT's Sophie Shevardnadze, three-time Oscar winner Stone said the policy of blaming Russia for everything is irrational. "Of course, the United States scares me in the sense that it might lose its self-control and out of a sense of panic and fear, attack.”

© Randy Credico‘US wants phony Russiagate probe kept alive’: NY comedian summoned over Assange interview tells RT
"This concept that Russia is responsible for everything is insane, but it’s very easy to resort to that kind of early 1950s primitivism like Joe McCarthy did."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Stone is entirely right in his assessment, but he doesn't quite go the extra analytical step; demonization of any country is generally a prelude to a war against it, as are inflicting sanctions for stuff a country never did, and in Russia's case, it DID NOT annex Crimea.

But Crimea's having held two referendums to first, determine if its people wanted to leave Ukraine in 2014, after the US sponsored putsch, then petitioning the Russian Federation to become a member, is not at all matching the US government's narrative that Russia "annexed Crimea", therefore, the US had the moral "justification" to punish it with sanctions.

Video Shared By Trump Featured US-Backed FSA Commander Destroying Virgin Mary Statue In Syria

While Trump's Twitter activity from yesterday continues to drive media and political outrage, especially in the UK, and with the focus of the frenzied coverage being that the president retweeted a far-right U.K. leader's "anti-Muslim videos", there is actually something much more interesting concerning the context to the “Muslim Destroys A Statue Of Virgin Mary” video.

That particular video shared by the president is from 2013 and shows a Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander named Omar Gharba destroying a Virgin Mary statue as the group invaded a Syrian Christian town. In a geopolitical and deeply ironic twist demonstrating the absurdity and contradictions of US foreign policy, the radical Islamist commander was actually supported by the United States at the time as part of the FSA, which the media and US government deemed "moderate".

Collecting Russian DNA? Confronting the Threat of Ethnic-Specific Bioweapons

The United States Air Force’s 59th Medical Wing’s molecular biology branch recently was revealed to have been collecting specifically Russian RNA and synovial (connective) tissue samples, prompting fears in Russia of a possible US directed ethnic-specific bioweapons program.

TeleSUR’s article, “‘Ethnic Bomb’ Feared as US Air Force Confirms Collection of Russian DNA,” would report:

Russia has raised its concerns over attempts by the U.S. military to collect DNA samples from Russian nationals, noting the potential use of such biological samples for the purpose of creating new genetic warfare weaponry.

The U.S. Air Force has sought to calm the Kremlin’s concerns, noting that the samples would only be used for so-called “research” purposes rather than for bioterrorism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF any element of the US government or military says something is not so, it most probably is; we have just become accustomed to their lying so completely that plausible deniability cannot possibly work for them.

And if they are not working on a biological weapon against the Russian people, what other possible motive could they have for doing this?!?

The short answer in, none whatsoever.

Israel to Coordinate with Google, YouTube, to Censor Palestinian Videos of Conflict

The Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Member of Knesset Tzipi Hotovely, held meetings this week with representatives of YouTube and Google, to find ways of cooperating to censor Palestinian videos from occupied Palestine, videos she dubbed as “inciting violence and terrorism.” Israeli daily Maariv said Hotovely will be working with Google and YouTube officials in a joint mechanism that will be in charge of “monitoring and preventing” any publication of materials deemed by Tel Aviv to be “inflammatory.”

Hotovely announced in a Hebrew-only press release that she met with YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, and Google’s Director of Public Policy, Jennifer Oztzistzki, at Google’s Silicon Valley Offices.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Palestinians have utterly no justification for being upset, ever, at their treatment by the Israeli military and government's occupation, and all that upsets them must be completely censored from public view.

But don't worry; these stories can, and will, and need to, get out there, and they will.

Not EVER as a basis for violence, but as a testament to what a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons believes it can do to its minority population, and with absolute impunity.

Is Trump Going to Lie Our Way Into War With Iran?

A decade and a half ago, in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, President George W. Bush’s administration conjured up not only terrifying images of nuclear mushroom clouds but also of Saddam Hussein plotting with Osama bin Laden to attack the United States.

Mr. Bush himself declared that Mr. Hussein “aids and protects terrorists, including members of Al Qaeda” while Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld called links between Iraq and Al Qaeda “accurate and not debatable.”

It wasn’t true, of course. But it helped make the case for war.

That may be why a similar lie is getting trotted out again now, except this time the target is Iraq’s neighbor, Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The President would do well to remember; a war against Iran will probably mean war with Russia, whose political and military leadership have consistently, and collectively gone on record as stating that Russia will defend Iran, should it be attacked militarily.

And, as evidenced by their astounding victories in Syria, the Russian military has weaponry which actually works.

Nov 30 10:47

Trump’s Mission Creep in Syria

The U.S. military presence in Syria is set to continue indefinitely:

The justification for this continued presence is bizarre:

An abrupt U.S. withdrawal could complete Assad’s sweep of Syrian territory and help guarantee his political survival — an outcome that would constitute a win for Iran, his close ally.

To avoid that outcome, U.S. officials say they plan to maintain a U.S. troop presence in northern Syria — where the Americans have trained and assisted the SDF against the Islamic State — and establish new local governance, apart from the Assad government, in those areas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder just how long Russia will put up with this nonsense before it responds militarily.

Russia was invited by the Syrian government to assist it in getting rid of the Jihadis; the US government was not.

North Korea’s Nuclear Power Declaration Could Be a Prelude to Talks

Following Tuesday’s missile test, North Korea has declared itself a full nuclear power, saying they have the ability to deliver a “super-large heavy warhead” anywhere within the mainland United States now.

The declaration is presented by some US officials as just grandstanding, but it might also portend a shift in North Korea’s strategy, and open up the possibility of real negotiations with the United States.

After all, North Korea has been very open about its goals in developing missiles and nuclear weapons being a deterrent force to prevent US attacks on them. This latest missile test may have been the culmination of that.

Analysts note that while there are still questions about North Korea’s missiles, the fact that they could plausibly fire a nuclear weapon at New York City at this point, even if it’s not with 100% certainty, should be enough to deter a US first strike.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope, with all my heart, that this blogger is correct in his assessment.

Report: Trump Is Expected to Announce Embassy Move to Jerusalem

Trump is reportedly going to announce that the U.S. embassy in Israel will be moving to Jerusalem:

The Israeli government considers it extremely likely that US President Donald Trump will declare in the next few days that he recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and that he is instructing his officials to prepare to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, an Israeli TV report claimed Wednesday.

The Hadashot news report came a day after US Vice President Mike Pence said Trump was “actively considering” moving the US embassy.

Presidents have routinely issued a waiver to block the relocation of the embassy for more than twenty years. Trump signed a waiver to this effect in June, and the next deadline comes up on Friday. Like many previous presidential candidates, Trump had promised during his campaign to relocate the embassy if elected. If this report is correct, it seems that he may follow through.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Should he do this on Friday, it will be a clumsy, reckless move, demonstrating, in absolute finality, that the US government is patholotically impotent of being an honest broker of peace in the Middle East.

North Korea sanctionsDonald Trump asks Xi Jinping to cut off North Korea’s oil supply to stop nuclear programme

US President Donald Trump asked President Xi Jinping to halt all oil shipments to North Korea to stop its neighbour’s nuclear weapons programme following Pyongyang’s test launch of a ballistic missile experts say could reach the US mainland.

“President Trump called Chinese President Xi [Jinping] this morning and told him that we’ve come to the point where China must cut off the oil from North Korea. That would be a pivotal step in the world’s effort to stop this international pariah,” Washington’s United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said.

“We know the main driver of [North Korea’s] nuclear production is oil,” Haley said on Wednesday at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
The Security Council meeting pitted the US, Japan and its other allies against China and Russia, which accused the US of intensifying North Korea’s determination to develop nuclear weapons capability. Haley also accused China of not enforcing existing sanctions against North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to say, regarding stiffening North Korea's resolve to develop a steerable, targetable nuclear missle, capable of hitting the US, the Chinese Ambassador is entirely correct, that the US is completely ignoring the joint Russian/Chines proposal of "suspension for suspension", which may give negotiations a slight chance of moving forward.

It appears, with President Trump, his approach represents a "My way, or the highway!" kind of thinking.

This is absolutely the polar opposite of the approach he, Nikki Haley, Mattis, and Tillerson should be taking, to get some real tangible progress moving here.

Trump talks to Jinping after Pyongyang's ICBM launch, says US to impose more sanctions on North Korea

The US will impose additional "major sanctions" on North Korea for its latest missile test, President Donald Trump said today as he spoke to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to press Pyonyang to halt its "provocative actions".
During the phone call, Trump underscored the determination of the US to defend itself and its allies from the growing threat posed by the North Korean regime, the White House said.

The two leaders discussed North Korea's latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch, it said.

The missile was launched from Sain Ni, North Korea yesterday, and travelled about 1000 km before splashing down in the Sea of Japan, within Japan's Economic Exclusion Zone.

"Just spoke to President Xi Jinping of China concerning the provocative actions of North Korea. Additional major sanctions will be imposed on North Korea today. This situation will be handled!" Trump tweeted.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder: just what does President Trump have left to throw at North Korea in terms of sanctions?!?

Food?!?

Medicine?!?

The optics of these kinds of sanctions would be thoroughly lousy, but it is possible Trump believes that they are the only methods left to avoid a military confrontation with Pyongyang.

And what of China's real influence here?!? A senior Chinese diplomat flew to Pyongyang a couple of weeks ago, but was rebuffed by Kim Jung Un.
Did North Korea's Kim Jung Un Just Slap China in the Face?!? This was as big an insult as Kim could possibly hurl at their benefactor, China, and yet he believed he could get away with it with impunity.

And if President Trump supports a military solution to the North Korean issue before the US or coalition members are actually attacked, how is China going to respond?!?

MORGAN STANLEY, WITH A LONG RAPSHEET FOR CORPORATE CRIMES, SAYS JEREMY CORBYN HOLDING THEM TO ACCOUNT WOULD HURT THEM WORSE THAN THE WORST BREXIT

Morgan Stanley is one of the world's largest banks, so naturally it has racked up a long list of frauds, crimes, and misdemeanors, which it has emerged from largely unscathed, thanks to the unwillingness of governments to tackle corporate crime, especially in the finance sector.

So it's not surprising that Morgan Stanley’s European equity team has issued a report warning that the returns to its shareholders will be hurt more by Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party taking office than it would suffer as a result of even the most catastrophic, bungled Brexit under the Tories (who never met a crooked banker they didn't love and solicit donations from).

It's a surprising and frank admission from the bank, that its profits rely more on friendly governments than they do on competent ones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And yet with all their crimes, both in the US and UK, no banking executive ever goes to jail for the crimes they have committed.

PRIVATE COMPANIES LOOK TO CASH IN AS HOMELAND SECURITY BRINGS FACIAL RECOGNITION TO U.S. BORDERS

“Technology is far better at matching identities than humans alone,” said Dan Tancier, the CBP Field Operations official in charge of the biometric program for entry and exit into the country. “That’s a given.”

Congress may also make sweeping updates to DHS mandates. Border security legislation, sponsored by Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, explicitly calls for border security officials to utilize facial recognition technology “to the greatest extent practicable.”

Experts, however, are raising concerns about the potential for abuses and errors — and especially the preservation of privacy. Harrison Rudolph, a law fellow at Georgetown University’s Center on Privacy and Technology, said the DHS’s facial recognition programs “aren’t ready for takeoff.” Rudolph said that the agency has not elucidated specific rules to limit data collection, retention, and reuse with regard to facial recognition technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Very soon, Americans can expect utterly no privacy whatsoever, either inside, or outside of their homes.

Every word spoken, not only on the phones but in your homes, will be survielled, collected, and analyzed; every time you take a trip to your local store, your travel patterns will be analyzed; and every keystroke on every computer you use will be logged and stored.

NERVOUS ABOUT TRAFFIC STOPS? I AM. YOU SHOULD BE, TOO

You’re driving along and you see a pair of flashing blue lights in your rearview mirror. Whether or not you’ve done anything wrong, you get a sinking feeling in your stomach.

Trying to predict the outcome of any encounter with the police is a bit like playing Russian roulette: most of the time you will emerge relatively unscathed, although decidedly poorer and less secure about your rights, but there’s always the chance that an encounter will turn deadly.

For instance, it was just a year ago, in the early morning hours of Dec. 1, 2016, when Gregory Tucker, a young African-American man, was pulled over by Louisiana police for a broken taillight.

What should have been a routine traffic stop became yet another example of police brutality in America.

US BOWS TO ISRAELI/SAUDI ALLIANCE IN BLAMING IRAN

Contrary to common belief, Israel supported Iran’s Islamic Republic for more than a decade in the 1980s before shifting its favors to Saudi Arabia in the 1990s and making sure the U.S. followed suit, recalls Ted Snider.

At first, American officials couldn’t believe it. In 1993, the Israelis began pressuring the Clinton administration to view Iran as the greatest global threat. Only a short time earlier, in the 1980s, Israel had been cooperating with the Iranians militarily and selling them weapons to fight Iraq in the Iran-Iraq War.

New Israeli draft law would jail pro-BDS activists

A new draft bill sponsored by members of Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition would see activists who promote the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS) campaign face criminal charges and jail time.

According to the proposal, reports Haaretz, “the crime in question, which already exists in the penal code, harms ‘Israel’s interests or Israel’s relations with a country, organization or institution’.”

The new element, backed by Likud MKs David Bitan (coalition whip), Anat Berko, and David Amsalem, as well as Kulanu lawmakers Yfat Shasha-Biton and Tali Plosko, is “including the promotion of anti-Israel boycotts as one of the acts that can result in indictment on this charge”.

The bill’s explanatory notes state that the law “is meant to apply to anyone who takes an active part in a movement that boycotts Israel or its products”.

Suffolk County DA Used $3.3 Million In Asset Forfeitures To Fund Massive Public Employee "Bonuses"

Just over a month ago we wrote about the curious case of Frank Ranelli of Alabama and the growing problem of asset forfeitures all across the United States. Ranelli, who owned a local computer repair shop in Ensley, Alabama, showed up to work one day in 2010 only to later be raided by local police who proceeded to confiscate thousands of dollars worth of assets. Nothing ever came of the case and despite no official charges and no jury trial, Ranelli, after 7 years of effort, has been completely unsuccessful in recovering the assets that officers took from his business.

The American Dream Has Been Irreparably Broken

U.S. Senator James W. Fulbright (1905-1995) The Arrogance of Power, 1966.

Despite having met and befriended some fine Americans over the years, my long-held opinion of the U.S. in particular and the American people in general — an opinion confirmed after I read Senator Fulbright’s book in the late 60s — has not only remained doggedly unchanged, but has in fact become more entrenched and pessimistic. Such entrenched pessimism stems from the inescapable truth that regardless of an illusory concept of the “American exceptionalism” that arrogantly presumes to present itself as the “superpower” champion of democracy and human rights, the U.S. is in reality the world’s biggest violator of the very ideals it so hypocritically claims to champion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sadly, post World War II, the "American Dream" has morphed into the American nightmare, with jobs offshored/outsourced, and the former American middle class forced into a downward spiral of diminishng returns, increasing debt, and decreasing possibilites of escape from their economic circumstances.

The growth of the bloated US military around the world, and it's position as "Enforcer" of US government rights to expropriate resources globally to which it has no moral right, is absolutely in inverse proportion to the economic status of American citizens here at home.

Finally, our "alleged representatives" in Washington are only the property of the corporations which own them, and do not at all represent the concerns and wishes of the people who put them in office.

Can’t You See War on the Horizon?

According to news reports in the British press, Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed Russia’s industries to prepare themselves to be able to make a quick switch to war production.

Clearly, the Russian government would not make such an announcement unless it was convinced that the prospect of war with the West was real. For some time I have emphasized in my columns that the consequence of years of hostile actions taken by Washington and its European vassals against Russia was leading to war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The war I see coming is bigger than just between the US government and Russia.

The demonization of Russia, North Korea, and Iran continues apace.

And note, of late, an attempted "linkage" between North Korea and Iran, regarding North Korea's weapons program.

Demonization, coupled with sanctions, are nearly always a prelude to war.

I hope to hell that I am wrong, but I see a world war coming to this planet, within this next year, and one which will bring back the draft, in this country, of both our young men and our young women.

Is the Islamic State a “Geopolitical Tool”? US Looks to Southeast Asia to Unleash Its ISIS-Daesh Hordes

Western think tanks have been increasingly busy cultivating a narrative to explain the sudden and spreading presence of militants linked or fighting under the banner of the self-proclaimed “Islamic State” (ISIS) across Southeast Asia.

This narrative – these think tanks would have audiences believe – entails militants fleeing Syria and Iraq, and entrenching themselves amid supposedly sectarian conflicts in Southeast Asia. The think tanks conveniently never mention how tens of thousands of militants are funding the logistical feat required to move them to Southeast Asia or sustain their militant operations in the region once they arrive.

Among these think tanks is the so-called International Crisis Group (ICG). In its report, “Jihadism in southern Thailand – A phantom menace,” it claims:

The decline of the Islamic State (ISIS) and the advent of ISIS-linked violence in South East Asia evince the possibility of a new era of transnational jihadist terrorism in the region.

The Catch-22 that keeps many vets from getting help

Joseph Heller would have had a field day describing what happens to too many American soldiers these days. While on active duty in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, they begin suffering mental health problems -- often they reflect the early onset of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Because of their illness, they act out, get in trouble with their chain of command, and are forced to leave with less than honorable discharges.

But when they return home, their less than honorable discharges prevent them from being considered veterans, so they can't get help from the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to address their PTSD.
It's a classic Catch-22.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please share this article with anyone even thinking about enlisting.

And please remind them; all wars are economic in nature, and are not fought for honor, glory, or "The American Way of Life", whatever that is.

Wars are all about resources, and their acquisition, period, end of discussion.

Iraq was all about the oil, and insuring that it was only sold in US dollars.

Afghanistan was, and is, about pipelines, natural resources, and the opium.

The coming war against Iran is, again, about the oil, and making sure it is sold in US dollars.

After Cheerleading for Invasion of Iraq, Tom Friedman Glorifies Saudi Arabia’s War Criminal

Thomas [Tom] Friedman, the supposedly liberal columnist of the New York Times and the "imperial messenger" of the US establishment, needs no introduction.

This is the same man who was the leading cheerleader for the illegal and criminal invasion of Iraq in 2003 that set the Middle East on the path of bloodshed and destruction. This is the same man who called the invasion of Iraq "the most radical-liberal revolutionary war the US has ever launched." The is the same pundit who, about a month after George W. Bush declared "mission accomplished" – and the mission, destruction of Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, has indeed been accomplished – stated in an interview with Charlie Rose about that war,

Webmaster's Commentary:

Friedman is a presstitute and warmonger of the most despicabler order, which is why he should be ignored, and become irrelevant to any future discussion of American foreign policy.

It therefore is completely logical that he should defend Saudi Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen, in his genocide against that country; that is what he is paid to do, defend the indefensible, in order to line the pockets of the Merchants of Death which own him and the NYT.

Israeli Govt Aims to Protect PM From Corruption Charges

The Israeli Knesset has voted 46-36 in favor of a new bill dubbed the “Netanyahu Law,” which aims to retroactively protect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from two different ongoing investigations into corruption.

Technically the bill would protect all elected officials from such investigations, though Netanyahu is clearly the most obvious and primary beneficiary. The bill intends to forbid police from recommending charges be brought in their investigations.

Under the law, which still has to survive additional readings in the Knesset, police involved in investigations are effectively gagged from confirming if a crime was committed by a public official. Conceivably an Attorney General is still allowed to solicit such an assessment from the police, but it has to be totally secret, and what he does with such a recommendation is up to him.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Expect this bill to be passed; the corruption of the Knesset is in full frontal display to the Israeli public right now.

Until the end of the week, US President Donald Trump should sign a new defense law, which provides $ 50 million to grant Ukraine lethal defensive weapons. Britain's secret role in Saudi Arabia's dirty war: UK troops are training army that has left a million on the brink of starvation, investigation finds

The British Army is secretly training Saudi Arabian troops to fight in Yemen, where the country has been accused of committing crimes against humanity, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Up to 50 UK military personnel have been teaching battlefield skills to soldiers who will be deployed in the so-called ‘dirty war’.

Thousands of civilians have been killed in bombing raids and an estimated one million children are facing starvation and serious illness as a result of the conflict.

The Army’s involvement is part of Britain’s ‘shameful complicity’ in the suffering, according to Tory MP and former Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand; what Saudi Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen, wants to see happen here, is a total and complete genocide of the Yemeni people.

And to that end, the US and UK have been incredibly complicit in making this guy's sick, twisted dream become a reality on the ground.

The picture which accompanies the article says it all; an innocent toddler, starving to death, who will probably never gain back either his intelligence or his health in full measure.

Prince Salman is utterly furious that this child, and all the other Yemeni children like him, have not already starved to death.

I am thoroughly amazed that he hasn't ordered a complete carpet bombing of the country, creating mass murder of every Yemeni civilian still breathing; but perhaps, that is his next step in the country's total obliviation and destruction.

And to the American and British legislators who have signed off on this; you no longer represent your alleged constitutents; only the corporations, particularly those merchants of death, which own you, and are making tremendous money peddling their wares to the Saudi governement for the genocide it is creating in Yemen.

And having signed off on this Saudi genocide in Yemen, this demonstrates, incontrovertibly, that you have collectively have had your consciences surgically removed before having taken office.

Pakistan Protests Swell Into Nationwide Chaos: Islamabad Protests Spreading Precipitously

In early November, from 2,000 protesters from the Tehreek-e Labaik Ya Rasool Allah Pakistan (TLY) began a sit-in in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. The protesters, led by cleric Khadim Hussain Rizvi, were originally provoked by a minor change to the oath for election candidates.

Though the government has already reversed the oath change, the TLY has kept the protest going, with Rizvi saying they want the resignation of the Law Minister, and that they need to “defend the honor of the Prophet.”

Officials had for weeks tried to placate them, offering talks, and even an apology from the Law Minister. On Saturday, however, police and paramilitary forces tried to push them off the streets, and that went very poorly.

After violent exchanges in the streets, more protesters are in the streets than ever, and Islamabad’s protest is now just the largest of several protests across the country, threatening to bring multiple cities grinding to a halt.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Are we looking at a potential regime change in Islamabad?!?

This is who these people are, what they believe, and what they are demanding of the government:

The Tehreek-e-Labaik

They are looking for a complete return to Sharia law in Pakistan, through legal process, and to fight back against any human rights gains made by Pakistani women in the last couple of decades.

Saudi-led ‘Arab NATO’ declares total war on terrorism; Iran, Iraq & Syria not invited

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman has vowed to “wipe” terrorists from the “face of the earth” using resources available to the Islamic Military Alliance, a so-called ‘Arab NATO’ which claims to be targeting a “faceless enemy,” rather than any particular “sect” or “country.”

Formed in 2015 by then-deputy Crown Prince and defense minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, the IMA has so far only functioned on paper. Now the Crown Prince wants to take his brainchild to the next level by declaring a total “war against terrorism,” during the Sunday summit of IMA, also referred to as the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) or the “Arab NATO.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

OH, REALLY?!?!?

Forgive me, but I am nearly close to choking from nausea, invoked by the glaring hipocrisy of the words coming out of this guy's mouth, relative to the hellish realities on the ground he has created for the people of Yemen.

So please: when does Prince Salman intend to announce the end of the terror he and his coalition are raining down on Yemen with these damnable bombing raids, which are killing civillian women, children, and the medically fragile elderly here?!?

When will he stop the US-enabled blockades of Yemeni ports, leading to massive deaths by malnutrition?!?

And when will he get a reasonable, and rapid, medical response going to the horrific outbreak of cholera, which is killing thousands in Yemen?!?

Prince MBS, if you want to stop a lot of terror in the region, you had better damned well take a good, long look in a mirrior first.

THE DARK INEVITABILITY OF ZIONISM

Put broadly, BDS is an effort to help save the positive potential inherent in modern post-colonial society: the civilizing potential to be found in international law, in human and civil rights, in a benevolent and egalitarian rule of law for all of us.

So successful has BDS been to date, and so much potential does it have to help force Israel down the same road as white-ruled South Africa, that Israel and its surrogates in the U.S. and Europe are willing to undermine the very laws and rights that help uphold what freedoms there are within the public realm. For instance, in the U.S., the very right to engage in such a boycott is under Zionist attack, and by extension, so is the constitutional protection to free speech. American Zionists seem willing to subvert their own constitutional protections in order to support a racist foreign state.

SAUDIS WOO TORY MPS WITH LAVISH DINNERS & HOTELS AS 20 MILLION YEMENIS STARVE

The Saudi blockade of Yemen has left 20 million people on the brink of starvation, but some UK parliamentarians prefer not to notice, instead filling up their bellies with the help of royal hospitality of Riyadh, measuring in tens of thousands of pounds.

According to the Middle East Eye, members of UK parliament have accepted some £94,189 ($126,939) worth of luxury hotel stays, lavish dinners, business class flights, donations and other forms of hospitality from the Saudi government this year alone.

So far this year, 13 Conservative MPs have accepted the royal welcome, as well as one Labour MP, who reportedly got a donation worth £6,722 ($8,964), from the Saudi Kingdom.

SAUDI ARABIA’S COALITION CRUMBLES IN YEMEN. 5 KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM A FAILED WAR

Middle East Eye editor-in-chief David Hearst notes that “All in all, the first military venture to be launched by the 32-year-old Saudi prince as defense minister is a tactical and strategic shambles.”

The Saudi war is heavily backed by the United States and the United Kingdom.

Zerohedge reports on MBS’ disastrous and illegal military adventure in Yemen that is killing millions of civilians and bankrupting the Saudi Kingdom.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good that the coalition appears to be crumbling.

I, very frankly, hate being a citizen of a country colluding with Saudi Arabia in war crimes in Yemen. And I link back to these images again and again, because I think the American people need to be having a very honest dialogue about what is being done, with our tax dollars and in our names in the Middle East.

It is financially very profitable for the US merchants of death to continue to supply Saudi Arabia with the bombs and bullets which kill, and maim for life, innocent infants, toddlers, women, and the medically fragile elderly.

These same corporations, the heads of which have all had their consciences surgically removed before taking office, contribute generously to both parties, so why shouldn't the assassinations of Yemeni innocents continue, as long as they are profitable?!? That is the only thing that matters anymore in American society, profitability, right?!?

Here is what that "profitability" is looking like to Yemeni kids these days:

U.K. Begins Another Gun Surrender Initiative Amid Increase in Gun Crime

The United Kingdom's National Ballistics Intelligence Service (NABIS) is conducting a new gun surrender program from Nov. 13 to Nov. 26 after gun crime in England and Wales increased by more than a quarter in the past year.

The Office for National Statistics found a 27 percent increase in crimes involving firearms during its most recent review of crime data. Despite a near ban on the civilian ownership of handguns the review found crimes committed with handguns increased by 25 percent and accounted for the majority of gun crimes. The agency said the increases in 2016 were part of a multiyear trend.

"The latest rise continues an upward trend seen in firearms offences in the last few years, however, offences are still 31 percent below a decade ago," the most recent annual report from the agency said. "Over the last year, over two-thirds (32 of the 439) of police forces recorded a rise in offences involving firearms."

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the knotheads in NABIS; the baddies will not surrender their guns, making the next rise in gun crime after this "surrender" a dead moral certainty!!

Keystone's existing pipeline spills far more than predicted to regulators

TransCanada Corp’s (TRP.TO) existing Keystone pipeline has leaked substantially more oil, and more often, in the United States than indicated in risk assessments the company provided to regulators before the project began operating in 2010, according to documents reviewed by Reuters.

The Canadian company is now seeking to expand the pipeline system linking Alberta’s oil fields to U.S. refineries with its proposed Keystone XL project, which has U.S. President Donald Trump’s backing.

The existing 2,147-mile (3,455 km) Keystone system from Hardisty, Alberta, to the Texas coast has had three significant leaks in the United States since it began operating in 2010, including a 5,000-barrel spill this month in rural South Dakota, and two others, each about 400 barrels, in South Dakota in 2016 and North Dakota in 2011.

Israel arrests 280 Palestinians for Facebook posts

The Israeli occupation authorities have arrested 280 Palestinians since the start of the Quds Uprising in October 2015 for posts or “likes” on social media, the PLO’s Palestinian Prisoners’ and Freed Prisoners’ Committee said on Sunday.

According to Quds Press, the head of the studies and documentation department with the Committee said that Israel has increased the number of detentions of social media users, including women and children who posted, commented positively about or liked pro-Palestinian social media content. Abdel-Naser Ferwaneh explained that most of those detained are from occupied Jerusalem. While some were indicted and sentenced to prison terms or fined, others were held under administrative detention with neither charge nor trial.

What to expect when ‘We the People’ win over illegal .01% US rogue state empire: 1) temporary depression, 2) massive Truth, 3) unimaginable inspiration/breakthroughs. Are you ready?

*hyperlinks live at source*

The US is an lying and illegal rogue state empire (full documentation and video walkthrough here). This is ongoing history of empire: taking over as much of the world possible to control resources (natural and humans as work animals), and with propaganda in corporate media and public education for pretense of a constitutional republic. Importantly, the Roman Empire devolved from a republic into tragic-comic .01% oligarchic “eat their own” self-destruction, as did ancient Greek democracy voting for the death of Socrates rather than face his obvious questions about virtue within that wanna-be empire.

There are three possible outcomes of this human condition:
The empire wins, with tighter control over We the People to serve them.
We the People win, after an Emperor’s New Clothes breakthrough of truth and .01% arrests for obvious crimes centered in war, looting, and lying.

US military to develop genetically modified plants to spy in environments ‘unsuitable for traditional sensors’

The US military wants to deploy plants as “the next generation of intelligence gatherers”.

Genetically modified plants could be employed as self-sustaining sensors to gather information in settings unsuitable for more traditional technologies.

The Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), which is responsible for the development of emerging technologies in the US military, has called for scientists to submit ideas for how to harness the power of plants.

In the past, DARPA has produced information-gathering technologies such as the satellites and seismographs employed to ensure Soviet compliance with the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

But in this new initiative, termed the Advanced Plant Technologies (APT) programme, the agency is looking to the natural world for help.

Turn off cameras and tracking devices in children's Christmas presents to prevent hacking, Information Commissioner tells parents

Parents should turn off the cameras and automatic tracking devices in their children’s Christmas presents because of the risk of hacking, the Information Commissioners’ Office has warned.

With a rise in the number of ‘smart’ toys and devices gracing the wish list this year, parents should consider the safety of them being connected directly to the internet before giving them as gifts, according to the data regulator.

When adults are not going to personally use cameras in toys to view what is happening remotely then they should consider turning the function off all together, Deputy Commissioner Steve Wood said.

The warning comes amid growing concerns about the ability of criminals to hack into toys containing sensors, microphones, cameras, data storage and other multi-media capabilities.

50,000 children in Yemen have died of starvation and disease so far this year, monitoring group says

An international aid group says an estimated 130 children or more die every day in war-torn Yemen from extreme hunger and disease.

Save the Children said late Wednesday that a continuing blockade by the Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Shiite rebels is likely to further increase the death rate. It says over 50,000 children are believed to have died in 2017.

Saudi Arabia blocked Yemen's ports after a rebel missile attack near Riyadh. It said Monday the coalition would lift the blockade after widespread international criticism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand; this genocide of Yemen's children is precisely the outcome the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman, eagerly wants to bring about, courtesy of US military collusion in Saudi war crmes.

In fact, I am rather amazed that he has not ordered the complete carpet bombing of Yemen at this point; perhaps that is his "next tactical step".

UKRAINE, BELARUS EXPEL DIPLOMATS FOLLOWING ESPIONAGE CLAIMS

Ukraine fired its deputy-head of foreign intelligence and expelled a Belarussian diplomat a day after the government of Belarus claimed that it busted a Ukrainian spy ring that recruited local agents. The chain of events began on October 25, when the Belarussian Committee for State Security (KGB) arrested a Ukrainian journalist. The journalist, Pavlo Sharoyko, is based in the Belarussian capital Minsk and works as the Belarus correspondent for the National Radio Company of Ukraine —the country’s public broadcaster. Even though Sharoyko was arrested in October, his imprisonment was not publicly announced by Belarus until last Saturday. On Tuesday, November 21, at a press conference held at the KGB headquarters in Minsk, KGB spokesman Dmitry Pobyarzhin told reporters that Sharoyko was arrested for engaging in espionage on behalf of the Ukrainian government.

We were lied to! Secret document FCO 30/1048 kept truth about EU from British for 30 years

A SECRET document, which remained locked away for 30 years, advised the British Government to COVER-UP the realities of EU membership so that by the time the public realised what was happening it would be too late.

Almost all of the shocking predictions – from the loss of British sovereignty, to monetary union and the over-arching powers of European courts – have come true.

But damningly for Tory Prime Minister Edward Heath, and all those who kept quiet about the findings in the early 70s, the document, known as FCO30/1048, was locked away under Official Secrets Act rules for almost five decades.

The classified paper, dated April 1971, suggested the Government should keep the British public in the dark about what EEC membership means predicting that it would take 30 years for voters to realise what was happening by which time it would be too late to leave.

Nasrallah Accuses US Of "Daesh Conspiracy" As Feared 'Tehran-To-Beirut Land Bridge' Is Established

Washington's past decade of Syria policy has been driven by fears of the so-called "Shia crescent" or Iranian land bridge which would conceivably connect Tehran with the Mediterranean in a continuous arch of influence. With events rapidly unfolding in Iraq and Syria, foremost among them the defeat of ISIS and the connection of Syrian and Iraqi national forces at the shared border, that land bridge has now been established for the first time in recent history.

But now as 2017 comes to a close, the Syria-Hezbollah-Iran alliance appears victorious, and it's the House of Saud and US-backed alliance that is fragmented and in shambles. And consistent with what Hersh predicted all the way back in 2007, the US has for years supported a jihadist corridor in Syria in order to "isolate the Syrian regime, which is considered the strategic depth of the Shia expansion (Iraq and Iran)."

The Public Are All Alone: Understanding How The Enemy Of Your Enemy Is Not Your Friend

In political matters, the public are taught to believe that some political Party is ‘good’, and that the others are “bad”; but the reality in recent times, at least in the United States, has instead been that both Parties are rotten to the core (as will be clear from the linked documentation provided here).

Belief in this myth (that the opposition between Parties is between ‘good’ ‘friend’ versus ‘bad’ ‘enemy’) is based upon the common adage that “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

One side is believed, and ones that contradict it are disbelieved - considered to be lying, distorting: bad. But, maybe, both (or all) Parties are deceiving; maybe all of them are enemies of the public, but just in different ways; maybe each of them is trying to control the country in the interests of (and so to obtain the most financial support from) the aristocracy, while all of them are actually against the public.

Can it really be false that “The enemy of my enemy is my friend?”

Webmaster's Commentary:

There's been a war on , toward the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century; it has not been the much touted war on terror, war on drugs, or the war on poverty; it is a war against the American people, perpetrated by the elites of our country, who are looking to take us to a high-tech, low-freedom/neo-feudal standard of living.

Saudi crown prince calls Iran's supreme leader 'new Hitler'

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has denounced Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the "new Hitler of the Middle East", as tensions simmer between the regional rivals.

Saudi Arabia and its arch-rival Iran have traded a bitter war of words after a missile fired from Yemen was intercepted near Riyadh airport on November 4. The missile was claimed by Yemen's Tehran-backed Huthi rebels.

Iran's "supreme leader is the new Hitler of the Middle East", Prince Mohammed told The New York Times in an interview published Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not know if the original interview was done in Arabic, or in English, but it is painfully apparent that the Butcher of Yemen is pathologically incapable of understanding all the reasons why this analogy would work much better for himself than for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Let's see: has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the assassination, and maiming for life, of innocent infants, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly?!?

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the blockading ports, causing massive deaths through complications of malnutrition, primarily, again, in children.

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei allowed a massive epidemic of cholera (possibly weaponised) to wipe out thousands of people, with no end in site?!?

Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has done none of these things, while Prince Salman has done every one of them.

I would to politely suggest, at this moment, that Prince Salman, morally, needs to look into a mirror.

NO.

Israel’s Military Detention of Palestinian Children. Motion against Israel in Britain’s Parliament

Half a dozen British parliamentarians have launched a parliamentary Early Day Motion (EDM) condemning the military detention of Palestinian children at the hands of Israeli authorities.

The primary sponsor of the EDM, officially tabled on Monday, is Labour MP Richard Burden, joined by five co-sponsors: Labour’s Lisa Nandy, Andy Slaughter, and Grahame Morris, along with the Liberal Democrats’ Alistair Carmichael, and SNP MP Tommy Sheppard.

The EDM begins by noting “with concern that hundreds of Palestinian children continue to be arrested, detained and tried in Israeli military courts, despite the practice involving widespread and systematic violations of international law and being widely condemned.”

The motion also notes “allegations of ill-treatment at the hands of Israeli authorities include blindfolding, physical violence and arrest at night”, and “the disparity between the treatment of Israeli and Palestinian children by Israeli authorities”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is how Israel wages phschological - and physical - war on Palestinian children.

How Russia Hawks Are Selling Trump On Sending Weapons To Ukraine

President Donald Trump’s top advisers are closer now to achieving what seemed unthinkable at the start of his presidency: Shipping millions of dollars of US weapons to Ukraine’s embattled military.

The president, whose former campaign associates nixed language supporting arms to Ukraine in the GOP’s party platform in 2016, was never going to be an easy sell on the issue.

Approving the measure would likely enrage Moscow and jeopardize Trump's hopes of cultivating better ties with the Cold War adversary. Key US allies including Germany oppose the decision out of concern that it could trigger Russia to step up its military intervention in Ukraine in ways that spiral out of control.

But US officials tell BuzzFeed News that they have a pitch they believe can win the president’s approval of providing $40-50 million in arms to the war-torn country, including powerful Javelin anti-tank missiles. Officials said the president could be presented with the proposal in the coming weeks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please: this is an officially horrible idea, and one which may set the region up in flames.

IF this is not the outcome you want, then please don't do this arms deal.

And sir, Kiev is broke; where are they going to find the money to pay for even a bit of this?!?

Egypt attack: More than 230 killed in Sinai mosque

Militants have launched a bomb and gun attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai province, killing 235 people, state media say.

Witnesses say the al-Rawda mosque in the town of Bir al-Abed, near al-Arish, was targeted during Friday prayers.

It is the deadliest attack of its kind since an Islamist insurgency in the peninsula was stepped up in 2013.

Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has held emergency talks with security officials to decide how to respond.

What happened?

Local police said gunmen arrived in four off-road vehicles and bombed the packed mosque before opening fire on worshippers, the Associated Press reported.
Pictures from the scene show rows of bloodied victims inside the mosque. At least 100 people were wounded, reports say.
"They were shooting at people as they left the mosque," a local resident who had relatives there told Reuters news agency. "They were shooting at the ambulances too."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Sufis are among the most peaceful, inward-looking group of Muslims you will ever find.

Hatred on religious grounds which leads to point-blank assassination of "the others", in the 21st century, is both maddening and perplexing to me.

U.S., South Korea to hold joint air force drill in early December

The air forces of South Korea and the United States are scheduled to hold a regular joint drill next month, deploying six F-22 Raptor stealth fighters in the exercise, a South Korean defense ministry official said on Friday.

The drill, called Vigilant Ace, will run from Dec. 4 to 8, the official told Reuters. The F-22 stealth fighters will be joined by F-35 aircraft, a U.S. Air Force official said.

The Vigilant Ace drill is held regularly by the United States and South Korea to simulate wartime defenses.

About 12,000 U.S. personnel will participate with South Korean troops while 230 aircraft will be flown at eight U.S. and South Korean military installations, the U.S. Seventh Air Force said in a news statement.

U.S. Marine Corps and Navy troops will also participate, it added.

“This realistic combat exercise is designed to enhance interoperability between U.S. and Republic of Korea forces and increase the combat effectiveness of both nations,” it said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government is thoroughly pathological in its refusal to give China's diplomats anything which could conceivably be presented as an "olive branch" to get North Korea to the table, in terms of negotiations to stop its nuclear weapons program.

THE REVERSE MIDAS TOUCH OF SAUDI ARABIA’S CROWN PRINCE IS TURNING THE MIDDLE EAST TO DUST

Both MBS, as he has come to be known, and his elderly father King Salman, the BND analysts wrote, want Saudi Arabia to be seen as “the leader of the Arab world” with a foreign policy built on “a strong military component.” Yet the memo also pointed out that the consolidation of so much power in a single young prince’s hands “harbors a latent risk that in seeking to establish himself in the line of succession in his father’s lifetime, he may overreach,” adding: “Relations with friendly and above all allied countries in the region could be overstretched.”

And so it has come to pass. In fact, despite being repudiated at the time by a German government more concerned about diplomatic and commercial relations with Riyadh, the BND warning turned out to be eerily prophetic.
