MOSSAD AND THE RISE OF THE VC-SPY ALLIANCE

The growth of intelligence agencies in the 21st century has been powered by the development of new technologies, created by start-ups, which are powered by intelligence agencies. This unvirtuous circle of money and espionage is a new and daunting challenge for civil liberties and human rights groups.

Gunfight at the O.K. Kibbutz: Israel in the American reflection

The wonderful chapter that Amy Kaplan devotes to Exodus, both the novel and the 1960 Otto Preminger movie, was an eye-opening archaeology of my twelfth year, when I used to read the novel the way I was supposed to read the Bible, but didn’t–every day, and when you get to the end, start over.

Iranians Ready for War Against US Great Satan; Khamenei Prophesies Total Persian Victory

Tensions are reaching critical levels as Washington continues to threaten Iran while the madmen Bolton and Pompeo are growing bolder by the day. It seems as if the White House fool Trump has given up on foreign policy altogether and allowed Bolton and Pompeo to have free reigns on pushing Washington further into the abyss.

Bolton has reportedly requested 120 000 troops to be sent to the Middle East, about the same number of troops sent for the tragic Iraq war. This would in his mind show the Iranians who’s in charge, I guess. We’re talking about a country with a population of 80 million people, thrice the size of Iraq and a military that has been preparing for a war with the Zionist Empire for decades.

Do Iranian ‘Threats’ Signal Organized U.S.-Israel Subterfuge?

President Donald Trump’s national security team has been leaking “intelligence” about Iranian threats for a week now in an attempt to justify escalating tensions, including moving American air attack assets to the Persian Gulf. But a closer look suggests that National Security Advisor John Bolton and other senior officials are trying to pull off an intelligence deception comparable to the fraudulent pretense for war in Iraq.

There’s also credible evidence that Israel could be playing a key role in this subterfuge.

Israel's War Criminals In Their Own Words

Israel’s public face, sustained and propagated by a wealthy and powerful diaspora that has significant control over the media, insists that the country is the Middle East’s only true democracy, that is operates under a rule of law for all its citizens and that its army is the “most moral in the world.” All of those assertions are false. Israel’s government favors its Jewish citizens through laws and regulations that are defined by religion. It in fact now identifies itself legally as a Jewish state with Christians and Muslim citizens having second class status. Israel’s army, meanwhile, has committed numerous war crimes against largely unarmed civilian populations in the past seventy years, both in Lebanon and directed against the Palestinians on the West Bank and Gaza.

Questions raised over Florida Cabinet meeting in Israel

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is going to Israel with a large contingent of business leaders — not surprisingly, especially as the GOP woos Jewish voters ahead of the 2020 presidential election. But DeSantis' plan to hold a meeting with his elected Cabinet while he's there has raised concerns about whether officials are violating the state's open-meeting laws.

When DeSantis first announced the trade mission, he noted that his attorney general, chief financial officer and agriculture commissioner would accompany him, and that the Cabinet would hold a meeting at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem during the trip, which runs from May 25 to May 31.

Democratic Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried had previously planned a trade mission to the country, but there was no apparent reason why the other two were going, except for the Cabinet meeting.

Israel Attorney General delays Netanyahu corruption hearing

Israel’s Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has agreed to delay Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s indictment hearing until October, bowing to months of pressure from the latter’s legal team.

Mandelblit announced today that the hearing will now be held on 2 and 3 October, three months later than the July date previously mandated by the attorney general.

This comes after Netanyahu’s lawyers yesterday asked Mandelblit to delay the hearing for at least a year due to the fact that it will deal with three separate corruption cases and there is therefore “a large amount of material to be read”, Haaretz reported. The attorney general had given the prime minister’s legal team until Monday to set a date for the hearing, but this deadline passed with no resolution.

Germany’s decision to equate BDS with anti-Semiitism is ‘immoral’

Germany’s decision to equate the boycott of Israel with anti-Semitism “violates international law”, “international legitimacy” and is “immoral”, the Boycott Campaign – Palestine said in a statement today.

“This immoral decision violates as well human rights, freedom of expression and the right of people to support the oppressed around the world,” the movement added.

BCP warned that this decision “will give immunity and strengthen the occupation and encourage it to continue to commit further crimes and apartheid acts against the Palestinian people.”

Israel government admits journalists beaten by soldiers were not ‘rioters’

The Israeli government has retracted its claim that two journalists “led a riot” in Nabi Saleh in 2015, “and that their beating by soldiers was therefore justified”, reported Haaretz.

According to the article, “this is the gist of a compromise reached between the Jerusalem district attorney and the two photographers, Abbas Mumani and Haim Schwarczenberg”, who had sued the Israeli military over the assault.

While the plaintiffs have been awarded a fraction of the damages initially sought, “the significance of the compromise”, Haaretz reported, “lies in the state’s admission that its version of events, throughout the proceedings, was incorrect”.

Canada court hears lawsuit challenging Israel settlement wine labels

A Canadian court is hearing a lawsuit against a decision to allow wines made and manufactured in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank to be labelled “Product of Israel”.

According to a report in Middle East Eye, David Kattenburg, a Jewish-Canadian activist based in Winnipeg, has applied to the Federal Court of Canada for an order “declaring unlawful” the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) directive.

In 2017, the CFIA “ordered liquor stores across the province of Ontario to de-shelve two Israeli settlement wines that were being sold with the label ‘Product of Israel’”, before promptly reversing its stance after “widespread public pressure from pro-Israel groups in Canada”.

“What [the CFIA’s decision] amounts to is an acknowledgement and endorsement of Israel’s de facto annexation of the settlements,” Kattenburg told Middle East Eye earlier this month.

Israel and the war on Iran

An American-led war on Iran is still a possibility, despite the fact that US President Donald Trump has openly expressed his lack of enthusiasm for it now, in contrast to his National Security Advisor John Bolton. Israel comes to mind in this instance, despite the unlikely possibility of Israel participating directly in a military confrontation, especially after Washington explicitly asked Israel not to interfere in the event of a war. This is similar to the position during the second Gulf War in 1991.

T spells trouble as Zionists claim Palestine alphabet book is ‘anti-Semitic’

A public reading of the first-ever alphabet story book in the English language about Palestine has caused outrage among some American library patrons who claim that its contents are anti-Semitic. Now a literary event featuring the children’s book P is for Palestine and its author has been shelved until at least next month when the library’s board of trustees will hold a public meeting to consider rescheduling the event for the book written by Golbarg Bashi.

Bashi was due to read P is for Palestine during a children’s event at the Highland Park Public Library in New Jersey, but several residents complained. They allege that the 2017 self-published book is anti-Semitic and promotes violence. One local resident complained: “I is for Intifada — encouraging children to rise up any way they see fit to resist. Far from peaceful and far from appropriate.” She added that the prospect of the book’s author visiting her community to host the reading made her “feel unsafe”.

Palestinians despair of Israeli restrictions to medical treatment outside Gaza

The air was thick with anxiety as Muna Awad stepped out of the taxi at the entrance to the Erez Crossing, her five-year-old daughter Aisha in tow.

Aisha was about to embark on a journey from the besieged Gaza Strip to occupied East Jerusalem for emergency medical treatment - and Muna was handing her young daughter over to a woman the family had never seen before to help facilitate her travel.

"I felt as if my soul was leaving my body," recalled Muna about being unable to travel with Aisha that day last month.

The five year old was diagnosed with brain cancer on 10 April.

The specialist hospital in Gaza that handles cancer patients told Muna it was ill-equipped to treat her daughter, and ordered her to be transferred to the occupied West Bank or East Jerusalem for urgent care.

Gaza boy killed by explosive grenade fired at his face

A Palestinian boy killed by Israeli occupation forces during protests in March was fatally injured by an explosive grenade, an investigation by the human rights group Al-Haq has found.

Adham Nidal Amara, 17, was directly injured in his face, killing him, as he took part in the rallies marking the one-year anniversary of the Great March of Return protests east of Gaza City on 30 March.

Two other teens, Tamer Hisham Abu al-Khair, 19, and Bilal Mahmoud Shaban Najjar, 16, were shot and killed by Israeli forces while protesting in Gaza that day. A fourth person, Faris Yusif Faris Abu Hijris, 26, succumbed to wounds sustained during the protests two days later.

WHAT WOULD HITLER DO?

Fatal and shameful, what took place last week in the German Bundestag.Indeed, one felt reminded of Reichstag times, when Jews were discriminated and marginalized in Germany. This time, however, all “democratic” parties together voted for a ban on the BDS movement. It strongly reminded of the “Enabling Act” of March 24, 1933, the official law for the relief of the people and the Reich. Only the SPD voted against it then. So how can you compare “Enabling Act” and the anti-BDS motion, which “resolutely” opposes the BDS movement and wants to fight anti-Semitism? One can, because both decisions are deliberately not “constitutional”. Does not our constitution clearly state the right to freedom of expression?

Immunity bill submitted to Knesset with Netanyahu indictment pending

The Israeli Knesset is weighing legislation that would grant government officials immunity from criminal prosecution, and just so happen to spare Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from three looming corruption indictments.

If the proposed amendment to the Immunity Law passes, elected officials cannot be charged with a criminal offense unless the 120-member Knesset and the Knesset House Committee agree to waive immunity. Should Netanyahu’s Likud Party secure a coalition and outnumber its rivals, the measure could effectively place them above the law for as long as they serve in government.

POMPEO TO IRAQ: STAND WITH US AGAINST IRAN OR MOVE ASIDE

SOURCE: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned Iraqi leaders that if they are not going to stand with the US against Iran, then they should stand aside, AP reported.

Pompeo’s message came last week as he met with Iraqi leaders to discuss the mounting tension between Washington and Tehran.

The news agency said the message was relayed to it by two Iraqi officials who refused to be named, pointing out that Pompeo’s visit to Baghdad came as intelligence had received information about Iranian threats to US interests in the Middle East.

“There are fears that Baghdad will get caught again in the conflict between Washington and Tehran after recovering from the effects of its war on the Islamic State,” the news site reported, in reference to Daesh.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if this unbearably tone-deaf rant has to do with Pompeo's taking graduate level classes from Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, in both hubris and chutzpah?!?

Iraqis have every moral, and reasonable right to be concerned about the US potentially using their country as a "base from which to attack Iran."

But there was one guy who most probably wouldn't have wanted to speak to Pompeo at all; that is, the most powerful man in Iraq who holds no office; that would, of course, be Muktada Al Sadr.

And this is because his coalition won control of Iraq's Parliament: how painfully ironic that had to be to the US government and Military?!?!?

He was also the spiritual leader of the Mahdi Army, against which the US was continuously fighting in Iraq. He was also the guy who said, that if US troops did not leave precisely at the moment specified by the SOFA agreement, US military would become "fair game" for his fighters.

His now being in control of the Iraqi Parliament, has to be one of the worst nightmares for the defense department and state department.

And of course, you didn't hear this from most of the Corporate Pressitutes, but yesterday, Moktada al Sadr, with other Iraqi clerics, made the statement:

Iraqi Shiite Figures warn that a US war against Iran, would cause Iraq to burn

The article goes on to state:

"Populist Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said any political party that would drag Iraq in a U.S.-Iran war “would be the enemy of the Iraqi people.” al-

Leading Iraqi Shiite figures warned Monday against attempts to pull their country into a war between the U.S. and Iran, saying it would turn Iraq into a battlefield yet again, just as it is on the path to recovery.

The warning came hours after a rocket slammed into Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, landing less than a mile from the sprawling U.S. Embassy. No injuries were reported and no group immediately claimed the Sunday night attack.

Shortly after, President Donald Trump tweeted a warning to Iran not to threaten the United States or it will face its “official end.”

So President Trump and Secretary Pompeo, a thought here, please; just a small caveat; it is said that Muktada al Sadr keeps in very close touch with the commanders of his former Mahdi Army.

IF the US declares war on Iran, and uses Iraqi soil from which to stage their attack, how long would it take this guy, to "get the band back together", in terms of US military having to fight off both Iranian military, and his Mahdi Army?!?

Gentlemen, the honest, short answer is, "not long at all".

I sure hope that at least ONE of you is getting more than a few sleepless nights about this potential.

CORPORATE MEDIA SETTING UP IRAN AS NEW "THREAT" THAT MUST BE CONFRONTED

Authored by Janine Jackson via Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting,

The Washington Post editorial’s headline (5/14/19) had the US “drifting” toward war with Iran—another example, as analyst Nima Shirazi quipped, of the “world’s superpower somehow having no agency over its own imperialism.”
If we can still call things “surreal,” that would describe watching corporate media do the same things they did in the run-up to the Iraq War, things they later disavowed: the credulous repetition of administration claims about the supposed threat; the reliance, for interpretation of “intelligence,” on officials with well known records for manipulating intelligence; the stenographic reporting of ‘troubling’ actions by the enemy state, that later have to be walked back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; this hyped up, potential military confrontation with Iran, is one of the most ludicrous creations of your Administration.

We understand that Netanyahu, and Sheldon Adelson, are pushing you to the max to have the US start or trigger this war, as they have tried a number of administrations ago (so that the IDF doesn't have to fight Iran, but the costs in blood and money, will be totally those of the American people).

But the only reason for it, would be economic in nature, because Israel wants Iran broken up, so that it will get lost in its own internal squabbles, and not be a practical, economic threat any longer.

When citizens are defending their homeland, and there's lots of skin in the game, if you will, they will fight, to the death, if they have to, to keep the foreign fighters away from their doors.

And what if Russia and China weigh in on Iran's side?!?

They know, President Trump, what the US has in terms of weaponry, troop strength, manufacturing, and financing.

They also know that at least that we know of, the National Dept is running around $22 trillion right now.

The US government is broke, desperate, and may use this war to attempt to distract ordinary people from understanding, what has happened to the economy since your watch began.

For the monied, it's wonderful; for those of us who are not... not quite so good.

I fear that in order to feed these endless wars and occupations you have approved (by not pulling out our troops from some, or all of these quagmires) we are going to see the reinstitution of the draft in this country, to keep up military strength.

And THAT, sir, will be the moment the fertilizer hits the ventilation system.

And I say this, because many Americans are now awakened to the reality that all wars are economic in nature; how likely, then, are they to respond to a draft when they know the all wars are bankers' wars, and that financial institutions profit big-time, from wars and death?!?

This may lead to riots of such a nature that local police and military members are unable to put them down "with extreme prejudice".

Then what, Mr. President?!?

I would like to politely suggest, that if you are so impossibly incapable of "caging the rage and engaging" with world leaders, this needs to be made the responsibility of someone else, please, who can.

The "mesmerizing effect" you have on your base, doesn't cut it with world leaders who really understand the meaning of the word "negotiation", and always work to "be the adults in the room." with rational judgement, and a willingness to compromise.

Right now, on the international stage, two of those poster people, for being adults in the room, are Sergei Lavrov , and his boss, President Putin; they are constantly trying to take the "military/political edge off" of world situations, and look where negotiations can be win/win; unfortunately, sir, the world, right now, is seeing you churlish; impetuous; ill-mannered, and very much an arrested adolescent, wearing some very luxurious grown people's clothing.

Head of Reporters Without Borders says Israel shot journalists intentionally

The director-general of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said yesterday that the Israeli army had deliberately targeted journalists in the occupied Gaza Strip.

Christophe Deloire was speaking to the Jerusalem Post, having received the Dan David Prize in Tel Aviv on behalf of the international press freedoms watchdog.

“It is a war crime to target journalists because they are journalists,” Deloire told the paper. “When Israel shot those journalists [during the Great Return March protests], it was intentional.”

“The journalists could be clearly identified as journalists, with cameras and jackets and it could not be just by chance,” he added.

Israel blocked access roads to 4 Palestinian villages in March-April

Israeli occupation forces blocked access roads to four Palestinian villages in the West Bank over the course of March and April, human rights organisation B’Tselem reported yesterday.

According to the NGO, the army closed gates it had placed at the entrances to the villages for periods of between five and 20 days at a time.

The affected communities were ‘Azzun, east of Qalqiliya, Kifl Hares, northwest of Salfit, Deir Istiya, east of Salfit and Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem.

The measures were taken, the army claimed, following various allegations that Palestinian residents from the villages had “thrown stones or Molotov cocktails” at settler vehicles on local roads.

The reasons behind Germany's condemnation of BDS

Alarmist articles started circulating shortly after, some claiming Germany is “the first country in the world to criminalise BDS”.

Thus, for example, an interview with the Berlin-based political economist Shir Hever, opens: “The German parliament, the Bundestag, has just passed an unprecedented piece of legislation condemning the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement, known as the BDS. They deemed BDS as antisemitic and illegal. This makes Germany the first and only country in the world to criminalise the BDS movement.”

Hever offers an interesting (if not quite convincing) explanation of Germany’s condemnation of BDS. Recalling that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had twice asserted that it was Hajj Amin al-Husseini, mufti of Jerusalem, and not Adolf Hitler, who first came up with the idea of exterminating the Jews, Hever suggests that Netanyahu was giving the Germans a way out of their guilt over the Holocaust.

STATEHOOD FOR PALESTINE, NOT BENJAMINS!

In addition to human rights, we speak of economic rights, too: our rights to our economic assets — land, water, natural gas wells, our Dead Sea and Mediterranean Sea shores, borders, and the like — and the ability to employ them within a Palestinian-defined economic development plan, free from Israeli or donor agendas. Dumping more humanitarian and developmental funds into Palestinian coffers will not solve the conflict.

Syrian TV says Damascus targeted 'from direction of' Israel

Loud blasts echoed across Damascus late on Friday, residents said, as Syrian state media reported “enemy targets” coming from the direction of Israel, which has previously acknowledged conducting repeated strikes inside Syria.

The state television channel showed footage of the night sky with a point of light firing up into it and the sound of shooting, and reported that air defences had brought down some objects. It did not immediately report casualties or material damage.

There was no immediate comment from Israel, but it has been increasingly open in recent months about targeting sites in Syria that it says are connected to Damascus’ close allies Iran and Hezbollah.

Eurovision turns out to be a big hit for Palestine

Despite the organisers describing the Eurovision Song Contest as a non-political event, the issue of Palestine took back, front and centre stage in Tel Aviv over the weekend, which may make Israel come to regret its weaponisation of culture and the whitewashing of its discrimination against the Palestinian people.

Reaching a global audience that the pro-Palestine lobby could only dream of, Eurovision gave the Palestinian cause a platform and exposure to an audience of millions not normally confronted by Middle East politics. When you get the headline act Madonna including the Palestinian flag on the back of one of her dancers, as well as Icelandic band Hatari displaying Palestinian banners on live television, it’s hard to ignore the policies and practices of Israel, which these days are likened — with good reason — to the abhorrent apartheid system of racial segregation which once dominated life in South Africa.

Iceland could be ‘punished’ for Palestinian flag display at Eurovision, say Israeli hosts

The Israeli broadcaster of the Eurovision said Iceland could be punished for holding up Palestinian flags during live coverage of the competition’s voting results.

Members of the Hatari group held up Palestinian flags with ‘Palestine’ written on them as the cameras were fixed on them during the announcement of their public votes at the final on Saturday night. The protest generated boos and cheers from the crowd at the Tel Aviv event, and support online.

Security quickly confiscated the flags from the band who were sitting in the green room at the time.

“The Icelanders will apparently be punished by the European Broadcasting Union, which is really not tolerant of those who violate its rules,” said Eldad Koblenz, CEO of Israel's public broadcaster Khan.

FACEBOOK ADMITS ISRAELI SOCIAL MANIPULATION COMPANY SPENT $800,000 TO INFLUENCE AFRICAN ELECTIONS

SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE
In keeping with their spectacular reputation of violating privacy and rigging elections, Facebook has said that it removed "hundreds of accounts" from Facebook and Instagram that were used to influence elections in Africa, according to CNN. Only it wasn't Russia who was behind this latest intervention, but Israel.
Archimedes Group, an Israeli company, reportedly spent more than $800,000 in advertising (far more than the Kremlin allegedly spent on its "ad campaign" to crush Hillary Clinton and get Trump elected) and ran accounts that had nearly 3 million followers, for the purpose of targeting African elections. The group primarily targeted Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Angola, Niger and Tunisia.

For perspective, the $800,000 reportedly spent by the group compares to the $100,000 that has been claimed by the U.S. mainstream media to have been spent for ‘Russian bots’ used to allegedly sway the 2016 US presidential election, according to RT.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me completely unsurprised at this revelation.

Most the worlds's precious, and yet-to-be-exploited commodities, can be found in Africa; it is no wonder Israel sought to exploit those elections for economic gain.

Israel claims its troops didn't kill paraplegic Palestinian

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli army on Friday closed a criminal investigation into the death of a paraplegic Palestinian man shot while demonstrating along Gaza's border with Israel in 2017, saying the probe found "no evidence" that its soldiers fired the fatal bullet.

The army described the protest in which 29-year-old Ibrahim Abu Thraya was killed as a "violent riot," and said troops responded by opening fire toward the lower body parts of "main instigators."

As part of its investigation, the military said it tried to obtain the bullet that killed Abu Thraya, but Palestinian authorities denied its request.

Witnesses at the time said no gunfire came from the Palestinian side. Palestinians and human rights groups claimed he was shot by an Israeli sniper

Webmaster's Commentary:

WOW! shooting a paraplegic Palestinian in the head; that must REALLY make the IDF feel infinitely more butch.

And these investigations are only to whitewash the IDF's crimes against Palestinians.

Iranian Special Forces Have Not Attacked Americans Since the 1990s

Source: deepstateblog.org

In the growing confrontation between the United States and Iran, the Iranian special forces, known as the Qods Force, will play a leading role in defending Iran.

[For more on the Qods Force and the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security, click here.]

While the U.S. officials have claimed knowledge of specific and credible threats against American interests, the Iranians do not have a record of attack Americans, at least not recently.

A 2017 Congressional Research Service report lists all known Iranian attacks or planned attacks on Western targets. Only three of them took place in the 21st century. Only one took place in America and none resulted in the death or injury to any American.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran has not attacked Americans recently, because they understand, with a sure and certain knowledge, that such an act will result in Israel's the US's turning their country into a sea of molten glass, before things are over.

There have been stories around the end of last week, where President Trump has informed his aides that he does not want a military conflict with Iran. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-iran-trump/trump-tells-aides-he-d....

But his big worry is, will the state of Israel listen?!?

My thought is, hell no.

They have gotten him close to a commitment, from which he appears to be edging away right now, and time... is not on Israel's side.

Do not be surprised to see an Israeli-generated false flag attack to happen in the week and days to come, with which to smear Iran, and "get the party started." Israel has full knowledge of where US troops are in the region, and it appears to me, that some of them will, unfortunately, become the "sacrificial lambs" to ensure Israel's game plan.

Germany votes to define BDS as anti-Semitic

Source: Middle East Monitor

Germany today voted to define the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement as anti-Semitic, becoming the first major European parliament to do so.

The German parliament – known as the Bundestag – this afternoon voted to accept a motion defining BDS as anti-Semitic. The motion, “Resist the BDS Movement – Fighting Antisemitism,” was sponsored by the Bundestag’s two largest parties – Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian-Democratic Union and the Social Democrat party – as well as the Green Party and the Free Democratic Party.

The text of the motion stated that “the German Bundestag is unwavering in its commitment to condemn and combat anti-Semitic in all its forms,” stressing it will oppose “anyone who defames people because of their Jewish identity […] questions the right of the Jewish and democratic state of Israel to exist or Israel’s right to defend itself.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

One cannot logically conflate Judaism... with the actions of the Israeli state; the people in the Knesset, must be jumping for joy right now, in their happiness.

What this ruling has done, has been to further destroy any possibility of a meaningful, contiguous Palestinian state.

US: In Three States, Federal Courts Struck Down Laws Suppressing Boycotts of Israeli Products

US District Judge Robert Pitman, an appointee of Barack Obama, ruled against a law in Texas that would prevent the state from doing business with companies that supported the boycott of goods from Israel. The court ruled that such a law violates freedom of speech and threatens to “manipulate the public debate through coercion rather than persuasion.” More than half of US states have such laws on the books. Federal courts have struck down similar anti-boycott laws in Kansas and Arizona. The ACLU says the three courts protected the right to boycott under the First Amendment.

Eurovision terror WARNING: US warns of ‘ROCKET ATTACKS’ at song contest in Tel Aviv

The US’ Jerusalem base warned of “rocket fire” in Tel Aviv, saying violent protests and terrorism could coincide with Eurovision. The embassy expected protests to occur on Tuesday, May 14, the anniversary of the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem, but feared violent attacks could occur also occur on Nakba Day (May 15) or on any of the three Eurovision dates, May 14, 16 or the final on Saturday, May 18. The embassy also urged American citizens to “remain vigilant”, as it is unknown when attacks will occur.

Syrian air defenses bring down projectiles coming from Israeli-controlled territory – reports

The Syrian air defense has shot down several projectiles launched from the Israeli-controlled occupied Golan Heights, the SANA news agency reported.

An RT source on the ground confirmed that explosions were heard over the city of Damascus.

A military source told SANA that some of the projectiles came from the area near the largely destroyed and abandoned city of Qunaitra, which is located inside the UN-patrolled buffer zone in the Golan Heights.

It is as yet unclear, who launched the projectiles and what the target was.

US-Israel relationship is ‘altar’ of ‘holiness,’ and Jerusalem embassy is ‘shrine’ — US ambassador

There’s been a lot of focus on US Ambassador David Friedman saying at a ceremony in Jerusalem Tuesday that Israel “is on the side of God,” as the New York Times reported.

The religious character of Friedman’s remarks went well beyond that statement. Friedman likened the US-Israel relationship to the “altar” of the original Jewish temple in Jerusalem and called the embassy a “shrine” that people pray to and thank God for. The US and Israel need to get even closer in the coming months, Friedman said, and move toward even greater “holiness.”

Facebook Busts Israeli Campaign to Disrupt Elections in African, Asian and Latin American Nations

Facebook said Thursday it banned an Israeli company that ran an influence campaign aimed at disrupting elections in various countries and has canceled dozens of accounts engaged in spreading disinformation.

Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook's head of cybersecurity policy, told reporters that the tech giant had purged 65 Israeli accounts, 161 pages, dozens of groups and four Instagram accounts. Many were linked to the Archimedes Group, a Tel Aviv-based political consulting and lobbying firm that boasts of its social media skills and ability to "change reality."

CONGRESS WANTS TO STEAL $1.68 BILLION FROM IRAN

It’s not enough to want untold thousands to die and the country destroyed, now neocons in Congress want to steal more than a billion and a half dollars from Iran as compensation for something somebody else did or didn’t do.

From the Daily Caller:

A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced legislation Thursday to make $1.68 billion worth of Iranian funds available to the families of 241 American servicemen killed in the 1983 suicide bombing on a Marine base in Beirut, Lebanon.

In Trump Bizarro World, as in the Obama and Bush versions of the same, reality and facts are only applicable when they serve the agenda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is desperation on the cusp of madness; and pray tell, how was Iran responsible for this horrible event?!>? Where, please, are those oft-neglected words, logic and proof, please?!?

Would they do something like this, understanding that the response from the US, and Israel be destroying their country with multiple nuclear strikes?

The short answer, of course, is HELL no.

But I DO know another country that would have had utterly zero problem in creating such an event; that country, of course, would be Israel, because they have done it before.

In fact, were I a betting person, I would almost be willing to bet that the alleged "bombs" Iran was supposed to have left in Syria, will soon be triggered by Israel's Mossad.

And if you think for one moment that this kind of despicable behaviour would be "off the books" for Mossad, you had better think again.

Awqaf warns of increasing settlers attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian Ministry of Religious Endowment (Awqaf) yesterday warned of increasing attacks by Israeli Jewish settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque, Safa news agency reported.

This warning comes amidst calls by extremist settler groups and organisations to increase raids of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the last days of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, the ministry condemned the Israeli police’s attacks on worshippers in the mosque and their arrest and eviction from the area during the holy month.

It called on the international community and all the rights groups to work towards putting an end to the violations carried out by the settlers and the Israeli police throughout the year.

And the Nakbas continue

The Palestinians’ perseverance and resilience have not broken or wavered, even though it has been 71 years since the Palestinian Nakba, and it continues to grow and intensify. The Palestinians insist on freedom, independence, the restoration of their confiscated rights, and on returning to their homeland and their determination grows and is handed down to generation after generation. The Great March of Return continues despite the obstacles, pitfalls, and conspiracies accompanying it.

Over the past seven decades, the age of the Palestinian Nakba, the number of Palestinians has multiplied by 9, amounting to over 13 million Palestinians. Half of the Palestinian population is inside Palestine, and the other half is outside. The Palestinian struggle to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes has continued nonstop.

Israeli press review: Judiciary to be made toothless as Netanyahu seeks protection

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning legislation that would hamstring the Supreme Court and allow the prime minister to secure immunity from prosecution over corruption charges, Israeli daily Haaretz reports.

The proposed law would allow Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, and ministers to disregard the court’s decisions in administrative matters, according to Haaretz, allowing it to annul any decision to strip Netanyahu of immunity from prosecution.

The Supreme Court would effectively be transformed from the highest legal power in the country into an advisory body.

Netanyahu, who is facing a raft of serious corruption charges, is negotiating with several right-wing parties who are set to make up his new government.

According to Haaretz, the negotiations include judicial reforms that this new legislation would be part of.

The Lunacy Of Waging A War On Iran Which China And Russia Will Win

The scare mongering about an attack on Iran continues. Bolton must be laughing his ass off how easy he can play the issue based on nothing. He simply counters any debunking of the alleged 'thread from Iran' by upping the ante. Yesterday a British general denied that any such threat exists in the area of his responsibility:

“No – there’s been no increased threat from Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and Syria,” Maj. Gen. Christopher Ghika, deputy commander of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), the coalition responsible for counter-terrorist operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, said in a video briefing, according to the Guardian.

Today Bolton countered that by again raising the noise level around the imaginary threat:

The U.S. Embassy in Iraq says the State Department has ordered all non-essential, non-emergency government staff to leave the country right away amid escalating tensions with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The most intelligent thing President Trump could do right now, would be handing Bolton his hat; unfortunately, the Israeli government wants this war in the worst possible way, and seeing that they have turned Bolton so brilliantly to their casus belli (of course, filled with unsubstantiated rumors, which no one in any government can yet define), I am concerned that Trump may well take action against Iran, because he doesn't really understand the costs and consequences of moving forward with it.

Israeli soldiers wound 65 Palestinians in eastern Gaza protests: medics

At least 65 Palestinians were injured on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli soldiers stationed on the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel, medics said.

Gaza Health Ministry said in a press statement that 65 Palestinians were injured, including 22 children, five women and three field paramedics, during protests and rallies that turned into clashes with Israeli soldiers in eastern Gaza Strip.

The clashes broke out when the Palestinians organized a rally near the border with Israel to mark 71 years for al-Nakba, or the Catastrophe, the day when the state of Israel was born and the Palestinian refugees' question started in 1948.

Thousands of Palestinian demonstrators joined the rally in eastern Gaza Strip. They waved Palestinian flags, burned tires, chanted slogans against Israel and the United States, released arson balloons into southern Israel and threw stones at the soldiers.

US pulls staff from Iraq, says Iran gave ‘blessing’ for tanker attack

Helicopters ferried US staff from the American embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday out of apparent concern about perceived threats from Iran, which US sources believe encouraged Sunday’s attacks on four oil tankers in the Gulf, Reuters reports.

The sabotage of the tankers, for which no one has claimed responsibility, and Saudi Arabia’s announcement on Tuesday that armed drones hit two of its oil pumping stations have raised concerns Washington and Tehran may be inching toward conflict.

A US government source said American security experts believe Iran gave its “blessing” to tanker attacks, which hit two Saudi crude oil tankers, a UAE-flagged fuel bunker barge and a Norwegian-registered oil products tanker off Fujeirah near the Strait of Hormuz.

The source said the United States believes Iran’s role was one of actively encouraging militants but indicated the United States does not now have evidence that Iranian personnel played any direct operational role.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, let me get my head wrapped around this.

What does the word "blessing" mean, here, please?!? That Iran gave the Houthis or other groups the technological know-how to carry off the attack, or was it a simply a "wish well" for the operation, couched in spiritual language?!? Considering the decades-old animosity between Iran, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, and the cloud of propaganda Saudi-Arabia, the US and Israel have been spewing, like squid ink, against Iran, I wouldn't necessarily bet against it.

And if the Iranians did this, why would they be asking for an investigation of the incident?!? The short answer is, they wouldn't, and would attempt to do everything within their power to prevent such an investigation from moving forward.

And Middle East Monitor, your editorial board needs a refresher course in Journalism 101; if you have a source, but chose not to name them, you really shouldn't run with a story like this, because it is worse than no story at all.

I sincerely hope and pray that you all understand the gravity of making such a claim with nothing more behind it than what appears to be a concocted rumor, with zero attribution.

Please, things are volatile enough in the region, that one badly misrepresented issue, or bit of incendiary language, could very well result in the start of a shooting war between Iran, the US and Israel.

And as a Christian pacifist activist, I am going to do my level best to see that this doesn't happen, because it is the worst possible outcome for a country I care about greatly; my home, the unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika.

Yes, I still care.

And to those in the various alphabet soup agencies tasked with reading my posts, you will have to collectively forgive me, that I never advocate violence, but always prefer deliberate, moral, hard-one negotiations, with which this country should be handling its geopolitical issues.

Riyadh submits letter to UN Security Council denouncing Iran and Houthis

Saudi Arabia submitted on Wednesday a letter to the United Nations Security Council, in which it held Iran and the Yemeni Houthi group responsible for targeting their oil facilities on Tuesday.

The letter was handed over by the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, according to Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya.

The letter included “Saudi Arabia’s holding of Iran and the Houthi militias it supports fully responsible for Tuesday’s attack on the kingdom’s oil facilities.”

According to the same source, a joint message was sent from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to the UN Security Council and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, on the attack and sabotage operation that occurred last Sunday against four ships in the international sea off the UAE’s territorial sea and coasts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact the Houthis actually did this damage to these ships (and of course, there is zero corroboration from surveillance camera footage), it means that they have become a lot more tough, and media-saavy than Saudi Arabia ever thought they could.

But my question is, why in the name of heaven would the Iranians do this, when they knew that there well could be one "mother of all repercussions", militarily, from Saudi Arabia; Israel; and the US?!?

The short answer is, they wouldn't. And if Iranians actually bombed these ships, they would be pieces of floating rubble by now.

Netanyahu corruption case files leaked

Source: Middle East Monitor

Evidence pertaining to one of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption cases has been leaked to the media, appearing to show his quid pro quo deal with a newspaper tycoon in return for favourable media coverage.

Published by Israel’s Channel 12 last night, the leak included a transcript of a conversation between Netanyahu and the publisher of popular Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, which lies at the centre of what has become known as Case 2000. In the case, Netanyahu allegedly offered to pass legislation that would impede the activities of Mozes’ rival newspaper, Israel Hayom, in return for more favourable media coverage of the prime minister and his policies.

Israel Police also suspect that, in return for curbing Israel Hayom, Mozes offered to hire journalists recommended by Netanyahu to undermine his rival politicians.

The Deal of the Century: Trump Team and Netanyahu Conspire to Sell out the Palestinians

In the aftermaths of both the First and Second World Wars national borders were readjusted to suit the victors and entirely new countries were created from the ruins of the empires that had collapsed as a result of the conflict. The process continued with the end of the Soviet Union but the new states were constituted within an already existing ethnic and linguistic framework.

More recently, the United States has engaged in imperialism-lite, with “regime change” programs seeking to lop off the governments of existing nations by coercion or through military invasion, replacing them with Quislings supportive of Washington’s continuing dominance exercised from “over the horizon.”

A bloody weekend in Gaza

In the early evening of 4 May, Mazouza Abu Arar was kept busy trying to make her grandchildren less afraid. They had heard the sound of explosions at various times that day.

Mazouza went into the courtyard of her home in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood. She organized a small celebration for Ramadan, which would begin the following day. Joined by members of her extended family, she distributed lanterns and sweets among her grandchildren.

Suddenly, the family’s home was hit by a projectile.

A toddler Saba Abu Arar and her aunt Filastin Abu Shihma were killed. Filastin was pregnant with a boy. She had planned to call her son Abdallah.

“Saba was very close to me,” said her grandmother Mazouza. “I wanted to hug her. But suddenly I felt like I was being pulled downwards and I lost consciousness.”

Adnan Abu Arar, husband of Filastin, rushed to the scene as soon as he heard the explosion.

Jerusalem Cable Car Project Passes Over Objections from Many Quarters

East Jerusalem has received new impetus from the rise of the Israeli far right and Washington’s decision to move its embassy to the city. But if completed, critics say, the long-running proposal would contribute to erasing the visibility of Palestinians in the city they hope to make their capital.

Planning for the $55 million tourism project continues despite unifying archaeologists, architects, Palestinians, and a tiny community of Jews against it – in a sign of Israel’s ever-growing confidence in making unilateral moves in occupied parts of Jerusalem.

Critics say the cable car will help hide the local Palestinian population from the roughly 3 million tourists who visit Jerusalem each year, turning the city into a “Disneyland” focused on promoting Israeli interests.

Tel Aviv is Afraid of the Axis of Resistance: Prof. Tim Anderson

The Australian political economist and author Professor, Tim Anderson, has emphasized that the Zionist entity is afraid of the unrelenting Palestinian resistance, of Syria’s looming victory and of an enhanced Axis of Resistance facing the occupied parts of Lebanon and Syria.

“Tel Aviv has looked to Trump for reassurance, but the US leader’s gestures over Jerusalem and the occupied Golan have no force in international law,” the professor told the Syria Times e-newspaper

He went on to say: “Given that Washington (whether under Bush, Obama or Trump) has done nothing to restrain the extended colonization and attempted ethnic cleansing on the West Bank, it is hard to imagine that The Kushner Plan (given a name which sounds like a TV game show) could do much more than throw some money around; all the more humiliating that this seems likely to be Arab (Saudi) money and perhaps a little Arab (Egyptian) land.”

The ‘Deal of the Century’ condemns Palestinians to endless Apartheid

Leaked details of the Trump administration’s Deal of the Century (the Deal) show that it offers neither an end to Israeli rule nor its policies of colonisation in Palestine.

What it does do is entrench and codify existing Israeli practices, while demanding that the Palestinians finally submit to domination by the Israeli state, or face the wrath of Israeli and American power should they resist.

Central to the Deal is a discursive repackaging, a rewording, of the status quo meant to legitimise Israel’s colonial practices on Palestinian territory. This includes, above-all-else, legitimising the radical demographic transformations - forced population transfers and settlement building - carried out by the Israeli state since 1967; an ongoing process of dispossession that dates back to the Nakba (Catastrophe) in 1948.

US Ambassador: Israel Is On the Side of God

Commemorating the one-year anniversary of the US moving their embassy to Jerusalem, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman declared that “Israel is on the side of God,” calling that a “secret weapon that not too many countries have.”

This sort of declaration is not unheard of among some varieties of Christianity within the United States. It has not, however, ever been a stated aspect of US policy, and Friedman’s comments suggest it is part of what is driving US policy toward Israel in general, including the embassy relocation.

PLO officials view this declaration as an extremely negative sign for already struggling US-Palestinian ties. PLO negotiator Hanan Ashrawi asked where placing Israel on the “side of God” leaves the rest of the world, while former chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said that what Friedman was effectively telling Palestinians, both Christians and Muslims is that “they’re enemies of God” He added that this had never been the US position before.

Bernie Sanders Delivers Online Address: 'We Must Not Go to War With Iran'

Source: Common Dreams

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday came out forcefully against the Trump administration angling the United States into another costly and unnecessary war of choice in the Middle East—this time against Iran—delivering an online address in which he warned that any military action without approval from Congress would be an "unconstitutional and illegal" breach of office.

"Let me be as clear as I can be: a war with Iran would be an absolute disaster," said Sanders in the roughly six-minute speech. "Sixteen years ago, the United States committed one of the worst foreign policy blunders in the history of our country by attacking Iraq. That war was sold to the American people based on a series of lies about weapons of mass destruction. We should remember that one of the leading advocates for that war was John Bolton."

WhatsApp Users Targeted By Spyware -- Here's What You Need To Know

WhatsApp has patched a vulnerability that allowed attackers to inject spyware onto people’s phones. This was confirmed by both WhatsApp and a spyware technology dealer to the Financial Times, which broke the news.

Discovered at the start of May, the vulnerability would have allowed adversaries to install surveillance software on phones by calling a user via the app’s phone call function. The attack could be performed even if the person didn’t answer their phone, while the calls would often disappear from logs, according to the spyware dealer.

The malicious code was allegedly developed by Israeli company NSO Group, which aims its products at Middle Eastern and Western intelligence agencies. US issues security alert ordering non-emergency staff to depart Iraq

The US State Department has issued a security alert and ordered staff to evacuate Iraq amid escalating tensions with neighbouring Iran. The alert posted on the US embassy in Iraq today read: “The U.S. State Department has ordered the departure of non-emergency U.S. Government employees from Iraq, both at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Consulate in Erbil. Normal visa services at both posts will be temporarily suspended. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to US citizens in Iraq.”

A US embassy spokesperson is reported by the Financial Times saying that US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, had taken the decision to withdraw because of “the increased threat stream we are seeing in Iraq”. The spokesperson declined to say how, when, or how many staff were leaving, citing security reasons.

(The Iran–Iraq boundary runs for 1,458 kilometers (over 900 miles, (plus or minus), from the Shatt al-Arab (known as Arvand Rud in Iran) waterway to the tripoint boundary with Turkey at the Kuh e-Dalanper. Although the boundary was first determined in 1639, certain disputes fester, particularly surrounding navigation on the Shatt al-Arab waterway."

IF the false flag is going to happen on land, rather than in the Persian Gulf, somewhere around this border area, would probably be the flash-point.

Even though Baghdad has explicitly stated that it will not allow Iraq to be used against Iran, how, militarily, can they actually prevent this?!?

We most probably have both American and Israel mercs, close to the border, waiting for word about causing the initial damage, to then be be blamed on Iran, and off we go.

Mr. President; I think I speak for my brother and sister Americans, when I say that this government's attempts to "lie us into war", as did your predecessor, President Bush, will demonstrate, that you have thoroughly outsourced US foreign policy in the Middle East to Tel Aviv; and to say "this is not a good thing", is tantamount to saying, "The Titanic hit a little bit of ice."

And yes, there are times when policy issues between the US and Israel do align; this, however, is not one of those times.

In the most peaceful, respectful way I can, I must caution you on starting a war with Iran; this will be another gigantic, quagmire, much as Afghanistan and Iraq, have been. And if Russia and China come in on Iran's side, as well they might, we are dealing with a war which could well go nuclear in a heartbeat.

UN warns that Gaza food aid about to run out

Every one in two Palestinians in Gaza is food aid dependent, and the largest provider of humanitarian assistance in the territory is warning that it may soon be unable to provide that aid.

UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestine refugees, stated on Monday that it must secure $60 million by June to be able to provide food aid to one million Palestinian refugees in Gaza – half of the territory’s population.

Some 620,000 Palestinians in Gaza survive on $1.60 per day. An additional 390,000 survive on around $3.50 per day, according to the agency.

Thousands of Palestinians demonstrate to mark 'catastrophe'

Palestinians protested Wednesday for the annual commemoration of what they call the Nakba, or catastrophe, when hundreds of thousands were expelled or fled during the 1948 war surrounding the creation of Israel.

Thousands gathered at various locations along the volatile border fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip, while crowds also demonstrated in the occupied West Bank.

Protests and clashes in Gaza a year earlier, which coincided with the controversial move of the US embassy to Israel to Jerusalem, had seen more than 60 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire but Wednesday's were far smaller.

The Media’s Shameful Handling of Bolton’s Iran Threat Claims Recalls the Run-up to the Iraq War

Media-savvy U.S. government officials, political operatives, and lawmakers and their staffs from all political parties and ideological persuasions have no doubt, throughout the history of our great country, duped a fair-minded but unwitting reporter into writing a juicy story in order to get a piece of information into the public bloodstream without their fingerprints on it.

This is, in large part, how the Bush administration sold the U.S. invasion of Iraq to the American people: Feeding knowingly bogus or unsubstantiated intelligence on Iraq’s (nonexistent) WMD programs to reporters, who then published it as fact, without much in the way of critical scrutiny.

Despite the lessons we’ve learned from that debacle, it’s happening again with regard to the Trump administration’s march toward war with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, I would strongly caution you, regarding the expansion of any threat against Iran.

There are moments when I would particularly like to see John Bolton and Mike Pompeo move to Israel, and run for the Knesset; this moment ... is one of them.

I am quite certain that Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu is whispering in the ears of both men, convincing them that such a war will be easy, and quick, and won't be another quagmire for the US.

And President Trump, in your appointments of these men, you have demonstrated, painfully clearly, that you have outsourced US policy in the Middle East to Israel, and I would like to suggest, politely, that might not have been the most "America First!" people you should have chosen, as representatives of US foreign policy.

Not all of the fights into which Netanyahu would like the US military carry out for it, are frequently not fights which will do the country any measurable good.

An attack against Iran (where Russia and China, may well come to its aid), is not a smart move, sir. Iran has done absolutely nothing to harm us, except for taking payment for their oil in other than US dollars.

Please think about this, Mr. President: at this time, our military doesn't have the money; the weaponry; the troop strength or the manufacturing to enable it to successfully engage in a world war, where you have Russia and China working against us in combat, as well as Iran.

First assessment blames Iran for Middle East ship explosions, official says

An American military team assessing blasts that damaged four commercial ships off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sunday has blamed Iran or Iranian-backed proxies using explosive charges, a source told Fox News on Monday evening.

Each ship had a 5-to-10-foot hole in it, near or just below the water line, a U.S. official told The Associated Press. A Norwegian-flagged vessel, two Saudi oil tankers and a bunkering tanker flagged in Shariah, one of the UAE's seven emirates, all suffered similar damage Sunday.

The UAE asked the U.S. to help investigate the damage, which Gulf officials have characterized as sabotage. UAE's state media said Sunday there had been "no injuries or fatalities on board the vessels" and "no spillage of harmful chemicals or fuel."

The U.S. has warned ships that "Iran or its proxies" could be targeting maritime traffic in the region, and America has moved additional ships and aircraft into the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, there is zero surveillance footage in any of these cases, but the US military has already accused Iran of this?!?

Anyone out there remember the firm accusation of President Bush, when he claimed that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction"?!?

This accusation is on par with that; if the Iranians had really bombed these ships, with the intention of never having them seaworthy again, they would have left NONE of these ships as mildly damaged as they actually are, and would have zotted the heck out of them.

Poland cancels Israel delegation visit over property restitution

The Polish Foreign Ministry yesterday cancelled a scheduled visit by Israeli officials to Warsaw saying they intended to discuss “the restitution of Jewish properties” seized during the Holocaust.

“Poland decided to cancel the visit of Israeli officials after the Israeli side made last minute changes in the composition of the delegation suggesting that the talks would primarily focus on the issues related to property restitution,” the foreign ministry in Warsaw said in a statement posted on its website.

A Polish official said in a statement, that “Israelis will not be prevented from coming to Poland and talking about the issue, but with regards to their desire to talk about restitution, our position is that the Germans are responsible for crimes against Jews committed in Polish territory during the Holocaust. Therefore, if they are interested in restitution, they should talk to the Germans.”

France’s Alstom quits settler railway, Israeli partners say

Two Israeli companies sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday asking for an urgent extension of the deadline for bids to build the next phase of the Jerusalem light rail.

The Israeli firms, Dan and Electra, asked for the delay after it emerged that French train maker Alstom intends to pull out of their consortium bidding to expand the settler tramway – citing human rights concerns.

Secretive Israeli Company Uses WhatsApp Voice Calls To Install Spyware On Phones

With so much attention focused recently on constant consumer spying and privacy violations, erroneous or otherwise, by Amazon, Facebook and now Twitter, it is easy to forget that virtually other communication apps have the same purpose, and that's what one secretive Israeli company relied on when they used a vulnerability in the popular messaging app WhatsApp (owned by Facebook) to inject commercial Israeli spyware on to phones, the company and a spyware technology dealer said. What is unique is how the app was infected: with a simple phone call.

Jared Kushner’s ignorant incitement against Palestinians

But he was quite clear when he incited against Palestinians, saying:

There’s a lot of impatience with the Palestinian issue… People have been funding this thing for a long time. They’ve gotten more aid than any group of people in history, and what we have to show for it is really not much at this point, unfortunately.

Jared Kushner was actually wrong, critically wrong. The Washington Post did a fact check on his claim of “more aid than any group of people in history” and reached an interesting conclusion. “Now, let’s compare the Palestinians with the Israelis”, wrote Glenn Kessler. His conclusion:

Israel has been getting an average of $3.5 billion a year for 66 years — just from the United States — while the Palestinians have received about $1.7 billion a year from international donors.

Tlaib: When I Think About The Holocaust This Way I Get A 'Calming Feeling'

Just when we think that Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) couldn't get any more anti-Semitic, she proves us wrong. Her latest remark is rather cringeworthy too. During an interview with Yahoo News' podcast "Skullduggery," she explained her take on the Holocaust.

"There’s always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people's passports," Tlaib said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And of course Tlaib has been roasted for this.
