Hillarybots, You Blew It! Thanks for Another Decade of War, Misery, and Scandal

It's not as if Sanders's was some quixotic Ralph Nader-type campaign, or he was some Green Party maverick. This was the real deal. The only way to have done this was not to start a third party, in our undemocratic system, but to take over an existing party from within. Precisely what Trump is doing. Sanders gave clear signals to progressives that he never wanted to be identified with the corrupt Democratic party establishment, and you had a problem with that?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't be too hard on the New Yorkers. If all the Democratic voters had been allowed to vote, Sanders would have won.

Establishment Collapsing: Trump Beating Grand Ol’ Party Of “Serial Child Molesters” and Has Beens

There is a great deal of uproar about the collapse of the GOP – thwarted and upstaged by Donald Trump at every turn… but it should really come as no surprise.

After all, this is the same Republican party whose former Speaker of the House was just jailed for being a "serial child molester":

Former US house speaker Dennis Hastert was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Wednesday by a federal judge who called him a “serial child molester” after emotional testimony from a man who said Hastert abused him when he was 17.

And there's a lot more where that came from...

Canadian-born Cruz isn’t eligible to serve as president

Cruz confuses his citizenship, granted to him through Congress’s statutory power to “establish an uniform rule of naturalization” (Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution), with the very different constitutional requirements for the office of president.

The constitutional requirements for the office of president are in Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution: A president must be a “natural born citizen,” 35 years of age and a resident of the U.S. for 14 years.

The Constitution was completed Sept. 17, 1787. The phrase “natural born citizen” meant people born within the U.S. That constitutional phrase remains a part of the Constitution and it has the same meaning today as in 1787.

Among New York Democrats Who Voted and Those Who Tried to Vote, Bernie Sanders Won a Landslide Victory

The New York Board of Elections and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio have confirmed that 126,000 have been dropped from the voters roles since October 9, 2015 in Kings County (Brooklyn), where Bernie was born and raised. According to other reports approximately 60,000 Brooklyn Democratic voters registrations were altered, removing these registered Democratic voters from the Democratic voter roles, after April 1, 2016.
Under New York law, these registrations could not legally be altered (not even by the voters, themselves) after October 9th of 2015 . This means there was probably some illegality in the alteration. Because New York has a closed primary, those illegally dropped from the voters' rolls could not vote a countable ballot. If you add the dropped votes back in, Bernie Sanders would have won Brooklyn by a landslide. He also would have won New York City by a landslide.

Ted Cruz and John Kasich Criminal Conspiracy?

Ted Cruz and John Kasich have actually conspired to commit a federal crime by denying the American people the right to vote. They announced that they will each step aside in one or more states to try to block Trump from achieving the nomination. Kasich is trying to defeat the democratic process because the establishment hates Cruz intensely and Trump to a lesser degree. Cruz and Kasich are now conspiring to steal delegates after a first ballot; nullifying the entire right to vote in the primaries, which is a federal crime.

California's voter registration form looks like it was written by a chimpanzee. Fix it

About 400,000 Californians who might be planning to vote in the state’s pivotal Democratic presidential primary June 7 could be in for a shock.

They’ll be told, “Sorry, your vote’s no good here.”

They’re getting rooked, although they primarily rooked themselves.

The state also is to blame, however. It sat back, not giving a hoot, and allowed this to happen. It should have been protecting the voters.

These are the Californians who carelessly signed up with the late George Wallace’s obsolete, inconsequential, far-right American Independent Party, apparently believing they were registering as an independent — small “i” — nonpartisan voter.

They’ll find that the only so-called presidential candidates they can vote for in the primary are some obscure AIP members who probably couldn’t be elected local crossing guard captain.

There’ll be no Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders on their ballot. No Donald Trump, Ted Cruz or John Kasich.

WASHINGTON Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. John Kasich will start campaigning in coordination Monday, after making statements Sunday night that they would work together to deny frontrunner Donald Trump an outright nomination. A contested GOP convention would allow delegates to vote independently for who should lead the party’s ticket in November. Trump has 845 delegates and needs 392 more to claim the party’s nomination. David Lightman explains what could happen if Cruz and Kasich succeed in forcing a contested convention.

How Democrats Could Snatch Defeat Out of the Jaws Of Victory

The many high-level officials in the Democratic Party, including super delegates, who strongly support Hillary Clinton, are extremely confident that she will become their party’s nominee and then win in the general election. But they would be wise to hold off on their celebrations because dark, menacing clouds continue to loom over her candidacy.

Sure, she was a big winner in New York but her huge disapproval rating still represents a major liability; far too many Americans just don’t like or trust her. So even if she beats Sanders, which might be a safe bet at this point, she will, thereafter, come under a withering, relentless attack in the general election when Republicans take aim at her political baggage and the many skeletons in her closet.

Maine’s Tea Party governor says Cruz’s ‘political hooligans’ are trying to hijack delegates

Ted Cruz’s campaign faced more allegations of dirty tricks after the Maine governor, Paul LePage, took to Facebook to condemn the Texas senator’s campaign as being run by “greedy political hooligans.”

The fiery and controversial governor claimed on Friday that the Trump and Cruz campaigns had previously reached a “unity deal” to elect delegates to the national convention in proportion to results of the Pine Tree state’s 5 March caucuses.

Such an allocation would deliver 12 Cruz delegates, nine for Trump and two for John Kasich, the Ohio governor.

However, LePage, a Trump supporter, said on the eve of Maine’s state convention that the Cruz campaign had reneged on the deal, believing they could fill all 21 delegate slots on the ballot. “I can’t stand by and watch as Cruz and the Republican establishment forcibly overrule the votes of Mainers who chose Trump and Kasich,” said LePage.

How Voter Suppression Efforts Are Threatening Our Democracy

2016 marks the fifth year of intensive voter suppression. Long lines have marred proceedings in so many of the primaries and caucuses. Too many provisional ballots have been filled out because voter names have been mistakenly or purposely removed from lists.

New York should not be high on your list of places to vote. There is no early voting, and registration for primaries, specifying partisan affiliations, this year was required in September proceeding last November. For some reason partisan affiliations were somehow often flipped and independents were not allowed to vote in this closed primary anyway. Brooklyn represented the nadir location: 125,000 names had been removed, 65,000 names added. Some gullible people were even told to vote on their iPhones.

PA Delegates Could Swing GOP Race

In Pennsylvania, delegates may have the power to swing GOP presidential race
***
While most states award convention delegates on a winner-take-all or proportional basis, 54 of Pennsylvania’s 71 delegates — three for each of 18 congressional districts — are officially unbound to a candidate and do not have to announce their intentions before Tuesday’s vote. The winners can vote for whomever they want at the convention.
***
The complexities of the process mean Trump could once again come up short on delegates despite winning the popular vote. Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told reporters after Trump’s victory in New York on Tuesday that Pennsylvania has “a very difficult process” of selecting delegates.

“I don’t want to get into the intricacies of our Pennsylvania strategy, but I think we’ll make sure people know who the Trump delegates are,” he said.

New York voting fiasco just the warm-upfor the November game

“I just got off my 17 hour shift as an election official. In my election district, out of 166 Democratic voters, 39 were forced to file affidavit ballots. The last [election] I worked in, exactly ONE voter needed an affidavit ballot.”

That’s nearly one of four voters. Why? Their names had gone missing from the voter rolls.

An affidavit ballot (called a “provisional” ballot in most other states) is a kind of placebo ballot. You get to pretend to vote – but the chance it will actually be counted is …well, good luck. If your name is wrongly removed, kiss your vote – affidavit or not—goodbye.

Rheannon’s experience was hardly unique. In Brooklyn alone, over 125,000 names were quietly scrubbed from the voter rolls in the five months leading up to the primary.

Perhaps the greatest compliment paid to me recently was from a Boston Globe columnist who remarked that I must really be Andy Kaufman. In 2016, the most qualified candidate according to smart Democratic strategists holds negative favorability ratings in every single national poll. In 8 out of 10 national polls, Hillary Clinton’s favorability ratings are negative by 15 points or more. According to recent CBS and NBS/WSJ polls, Clinton holds negative favorability ratings by 23 and 24 point margins, respectively. New York primary results: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump win in the Empire State

Presidential campaign frontrunners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton took a big step toward securing nominations from their parties after both emerged victorious from the New York primary on 19 April. The expected wins push the two ahead of their rivals and give their campaigns another boost ahead of the 26 April primaries in a number of states.

With over 80% of the precincts reporting, the former secretary of state led rival Bernie Sanders by more than 15 points. On the Republican side, Trump surged past John Kasich and Ted Cruz to lead by more than 35 points.

Trump won a landslide, picking up 89 delegates to Kasich's 3. Cruz was shut out entirely.

Hillary's "victory" over Sanders was marginal, with Hillary picking up 139 delegates to Sanders' 106. But reports of massive with the Democratic vote continue to pour in, such as broken machines, changed party affiliations or outright scrubbing from the voter rolls; over 100,000 in Brooklyn alone. Frustrated Brooklyn Voters Beg Judges "Nonstop" To Let Them Vote

126,000 Brooklyn Democrats were removed from the active voter rolls since last November, 44,000, like Williams, rendered inactive, 70,000 more purged entirely, and 12,000 because voters were listed as having left the borough. In the back hallway and lobby of the city Elections Board's Downtown Brooklyn office, 15-20 would-be voters at a time waited 30 minutes to an hour and a half for their cases to be heard.

"It's nonstop. It might be worse than '08," one worker said to another during a down moment between hearings.

VIDEO: Clintons campaign at polling place — in violation of NY law

It pays to have Clinton Privilege.

New York election regulators seem to be looking the other way today as Bill and Hillary Clinton campaigned outside their polling location this morning.

Video published by Reuters shows the Clintons posing for photos inside their precinct, as well as “greeting voters” outside the door.

Campaign signs and stickers are clearly visible.

The Battle of Athens

On 2 August 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force to overturn it. These Americans wanted honest, open elections. For years they had asked for state or Federal election monitors to prevent vote fraud -- forged ballots, secret ballot counts, and intimidation by armed sheriff's deputies -- by the local political boss. They got no help.

These Americans' absolute refusal to knuckle-under had been hardened by service in World War II. Having fought to free other countries from murderous regimes, they rejected vicious abuse by their county government. These Americans had a choice. Their state's Constitution - Article 1, Section 26 - recorded their right to keep and bear arms for the common defense. Few "gun control" laws had been enacted.

Shouldn't the Republican Party Have All Potential Presidential Nominees Demonstrate Presidential Eligibility?

Although generally ignored by the mainstream media (including Fox News), whether Senator Ted Cruz is eligible to be President of the United States depends upon both law and facts and remains an unresolved issue.

Cruz's inability and/or unwillingness to conclusively demonstrate that he is eligible, coupled with rival Donald Trump's references to him as Lyin' Ted, have increased suspicion instead of dispelled it.

I have concluded as a matter of law that since Cruz indisputably was a natural born Canadian, (1) he is not a natural born United States citizen and (2) the United States citizenship of his mother made him eligible to become a naturalized United States citizen.

Since 1934, the United States citizenship of either parent has enabled a child to become a naturalized United States citizen, but it is not sufficient to make that child a natural born United States citizen and therefore eligible to be President of the United States.

New York City primary voters outraged by broken machines, closed polling places

New York primary voting at some Brooklyn and Queens polling places was a disaster Tuesday morning — with early morning voters arriving to broken machines and belated polling.

Queens resident George Mack said he came to P.S. 52 in Springfield Gardens to vote right at 6 a.m. He, and about 50 other early voters, learned all three machines on site were broken. Volunteers at the school told voters to place their ballots in a slot, and they would all get processed later.

Trump: If I win, I might oust RNC chairman

If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.

HILLARY...CRUZ-ING TO THE WHITE HOUSE

The Republicans sideline their most popular candidate since Reagan and instead nominate an ineligible, unpopular, cheating-on-his-wife religious nutcase who has pledged to use nukes in the Middle East and start WW3 so that Jesus will deem it safe to return to earth and kill all the unbelievers. The Democrats also sideline their most popular candidate and through delegates, hand Hillary the nomination. Once this happens, a massive push to disqualify Cruz will take place , he will quietly step aside and Hillary is crowned Queen of the World. Nevermind that a majority of Americans despise and distrust her... she will go on TV and wring her hands and say that she was hoping for a real election but what can she do?

Donald Trump hires top GOP lawyer for delegate fight

Donald Trump has made another new significant hire as he prepares for the possibility of a contested convention, bringing William McGinley, a prominent Republican political attorney and a veteran of past delegate battles, into his campaign.

McGinley is expected to advise the Trump campaign on both delegate selection battles in the upcoming states and possible challenges to the credentials of delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, according to people familiar with the hiring.

Revealed: Colorado Lawmakers Who Voted to Scrap Election Are Ted Cruz Delegates

In May of 2015, four Colorado Senate Republicans killed an initiative “to create a presidential primary in 2016,” reported the Denver Post. “Under the bill, Colorado would have held a presidential primary in March that ran parallel with the state’s complicated caucus system… when it came before the Senate Appropriations Committee, four Republicans voted to kill the bill with three Democrats supporting it.”

The four Republicans who voted against the initiative were Sen. Kevin Grantham, Sen. Kent Lambert, Sen. Laura Woods, and Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg.

On Cruz’s campaign website, Sens. Woods, Grantham, and Lambert are all listed as Cruz supporters and as declared members of Cruz’s “Colorado Leadership team.”

Clinton Delegate Lead Down to 194, Even as Dramatic Miscounting of Delegates

In just the past week, Sanders has cut Clinton's delegate lead by 20 -- by 12 in Colorado (Sanders +6, Clinton -6) and by four each in Nevada and Missouri (Sanders +2, Clinton -2) -- without a single statewide primary or caucus being held, and even Nate Silver and his crew haven't been able to amend their usually accurate delegate tallies fast enough. That's understandable; it's easy to fall behind in reporting on a candidate who's beaten Hillary Clinton eight Election Days in a row -- President Obama having never lost more than two in a row in 2008 -- when you also have to publish esoterically misleading stories like "Clinton Is Winning the States That Look Like the Democratic Party" and "Bernie Sanders Is Even Less Competitive Than He Appears".

There's Something Rotten in the State of New York

It started out as curiosity... about two and a half weeks ago I, and many others, marveled at how Bernie Sanders had been able to whittle Hillary's lead in New York from a 43 point lead down to 7 and a half points. I was following the polling to see how much further he could whittle it down and looked forward to seeing Bernie pull ahead. But then something....odd.... happened. I went a week with no new polling data coming out, which, given the importance of the New York primary, I thought, well, ODD.

Then, on April 12th, a new NATIONAL poll came out showing Bernie 1 point ahead among registered democrats, 11 points ahead among Dem-leaning voters, and 16 points ahead among independents.

"WOW!!!" Was the thought that came to mind.

The same day, I started seeing new polling coming out of New York which, frankly, did not make sense. Polling showing Hillary ahead 53 to 37%

Trump Says ‘Rigged’ Convention Should Not Be Met With Violence

Donald J. Trump said on Sunday that he hoped the Republican convention in July “doesn’t involve violence” as he pressed his case that the system is rigged against him.

“I hope it doesn’t involve violence,” Mr. Trump said at a news conference on Staten Island, a stronghold of support, after he was given an award by the New York Veteran Police Association and spoke at a Lincoln Day brunch for Republicans.

“I hope it doesn’t. I’m not suggesting that.”

He added, “I don’t think it will. But I will say this, it’s a rigged system, it’s a crooked system.”

Rosario Dawson Arrested Protesting Money In Politics In Washington, D.C.

Rosario Dawson is willing to stand up for democracy, even if that means getting arrested.

The “Daredevil” actress was one of the hundreds of protesters arrested for crowding and obstruction at the “Democracy Spring” rally in Washington, D.C. on Friday, USA Today reports. Participants were protesting on Capitol Hill against the corruption of “big money in our politics” and calling for a “free and fair election in which every American has an equal voice,” according to the movement’s website.

Sanders and Trump gored through Hillary's and Jeb Bush's coronations

***
Wasn’t the upcoming 2016 election supposed to be the coronation of Republican Jeb Bush, by the hereditary right of divine kings?

After all, Jeb’s brother was president, their father was president, and their paternal grandfather wanted to be president. And Jeb had done the Bush family thing and gotten himself elected governor of Florida, and he did a good job at that, just like his brother had done a good job being governor of Texas, and it seemed like it would all be a shoo-in love fest and Bar and George would go back to using the White House as their retirement condo and zipping around Maine with Secret Service personnel in tow.

Until it all went wrong.

Now, angry, resentful Jeb heads up the “Dump Trump” movement, and to hell with what “the little people” want.

The alternative coronation was that of former First Lady Hillary Clinton, a lawyer who has had only one real ambition since her college days, and that is to be the first woman president of the United States.>>>

Reince Priebus blasted for ‘major breach of trust’ by top RNC officials

Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus is coming under fire from some of his top officials, all of whom have been considered loyalists throughout his six years in office.

They are accusing Mr. Priebus of concealing from members proposed changes to the rules that will govern the party’s July presidential nominating convention in Cleveland.

“I consider this to be a major breach of trust,” said RNC Rules Committee Chairman Bruce Ash of Arizona.

A copy of Mr. Ash’s email to the Rules Committee was shared with the Washington Times by a Trump supporter on the Rules Committee who asked not to be named in the story.

The “breach of trust,” according to the Ash email, was the failure by Mr. Priebus‘ Legal Counsel’s office to notify Rules Committee members that Oregon RNC member Solomon Yue had submitted a rules change, to be considered at Thursday’s Rules Committee meeting.>>>

Trump Supporters Walk Out of Georgia Delegate Fight After Party Picks Cruz Supporter…’Uproar in the Hall’

Donald Trump supporters walked out of a delegate election in Georgia Saturday to protest a vote that robbed Trump of all of his slated delegates from a district that he won in the primary.

A Cruz-Rubio alliance at the district convention in Buford, Georgia helped to knock Trump supporters out of the district’s national delegation altogether. Cruz supporters implied that Trump’s people would “embarrass” the district at the convention in Cleveland. Then things got heated.

“This morning, I attended Georgia 7th Congressional District GOP convention as a delegate and a Donald Trump supporter. We were there to elect the 3 delegates and 3 alternates to the national convention,” Ronnie Kurtz told Breitbart News. “Per the primary results, two slots were for Trump, and one was for Rubio. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)
97%
finished third in the primary and had no delegates allotted to him…Nonetheless, the hall was stacked with Cruz delegates.”

Trump likely to win West Virginia but lose delegates

Trump is well-positioned for a resounding victory in West Virginia’s May 10 primary, but his win will be accompanied by a delegate selection process stacked in favor of people with last names at the beginning of the alphabet — rather than his most committed supporters.

It’s a quirk of West Virginia’s mind-bogglingly complex delegate election process that has the Trump campaign on red alert and seems likely to leave the mogul with weaker support at the national convention than he’s expected to earn in the state’s primary. It’s yet another convoluted primary system likely to add fuel to Trump’s complaints that the rules of the Republican nomination process are rigged.
