mORE DRONES HEADED TO SOUTH KOREA

Recent reports by South Korean news media claim that the US will deploy attack drones to the Korean Peninsula in the next few months.

Twelve attack drones that can target North Korean leaders and military targets will be deployed in March or April, South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo reported this week.

According to the report, a hangar has already been constructed for the Gray Eagle drones. In addition, support facilities and personnel have reportedly already arrived at the US air base at Kunsan on the west coast.

The General Atomics MQ-1C Gray Eagle is an unmanned aircraft system developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the US Army. The Gray Eagle, which has an 18-yard wingspan, can conduct various missions including attack, reconnaissance, surveillance and infiltration. Its 248-mile range gives it enough reach to cover most of North Korean territory.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact these reports are true, North Korea is still in play as a target for US military action against it later this year.

If the US takes offensive action right after the games, China will be forced to support North Korea militarily.

IDF, US troops get ready for drill to simulate massive missile attack on Israel

The exercise will largely be performed through advanced computer simulations, though it will also include some real-world activities.

In total, some 4,500 soldiers from the two militaries will take part in the exercise — 2,500 of them from the United States’ European Command (US EUCOM) and 2,000 from the Israel Defense Forces. This is a substantial increase from the 2016 exercise, in which some 3,200 soldiers took part.

The Juniper Cobra exercise is scheduled to begin on March 4 and will formally run until March 15, though some American troops will stay in Israel and continue training with the IDF until the end of the month, the army said.

The threat from ballistic and guided missiles is one of the most significant threats facing Israel, and Israeli officials say it is growing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One false flag, to be blamed on either Lebanon's Hezbullah or Iran, will kick of a major Middle East war, with American troops already in place for battle.

And note the timing of the exercise: it starts precisely when the AIPAC conference kicks off kicks off in DC, which is 4 March to 6 March.

I do not believe that the timing of this exercise is a coincidence; with Netanyahu expected to be indicted for corruption, he may well be moving the timing ahead for such a false flag to be put in place, to distract from his legal woes, and give him some bloody shirts to wave about at AIPAC, as the justification for going into Lebanon, Iran, or perhaps both.

Syria: a mosaic of chaos

Syria has been engulfed in a devastating civil war since 2011 after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad lost control over large parts of the country to multiple revolutionary groups. The conflict has since drawn in foreign powers and brought misery and death to many civilians.

Trump Administration Says 2001 AUMF Authorizes Endless Iraq, Syria Presence

New letters from the State and Defense Departments lay out the case, such as it is. The arguments in both letters are very similar. The 2002 AUMF for Iraq doesn’t have any caveats. It just says Iraq is a threat, and that means the US can do whatever they want to, with, or in Iraq. Syria, where the US is not only not invited, but troops are said to be there to advance regime change, is a lot trickier.

The argument is that because ISIS still sort of exists, the US can keep troops in Syria just in case ISIS becomes a serious threat, and while there, any time Syria forces get kind of close, the US can attack them “in self-defense.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has proven himself a far cry from Candidate Trump, who suggested that these endless, immoral, extraconstitutional confrontations should be ended, and gave us hope that the War Party was losing its influence in the Bowels of Power in DC.

Not so; and now President Trump is doubling down in Afghanistan as well:

‘Americans leave behind scorched earth’: US refuses to clean up ‘carcinogenic’ waste at Azores base

After housing an airbase on Portugal’s Atlantic island of Terceira for 75 years, the US is scaling down its presence. Locals demand it cleans up the toxic pollution scientists say is causing cancer – but Washington doesn’t agree.

"Both of my parents died of cancer. My mum of breast cancer and my dad with a different kind of cancer. When I was 33 I was diagnosed with breast cancer," Madail Avila, one of 55,000 residents of the Azores’ second most-populous island, tells Ruptly. "It is a very big coincidence that there are so many cases of cancer within the same family and in the same geographical area as well, as all these cases are geographically located in the same area."

SYRIA - THE TWO EAST-GHOUTA CAMPAIGNS - ONE IS FOR LIBERATION, THE OTHER TO SAVE TERRORISTS

The Syrian government and its allies decided to finally liberate east-Ghouta from the grip of the Takfiri terrorists. Some 25,000 government troops are assembling now and preparatory artillery fire and aerial bombing has begun. The Syrian air force dropped leaflets to point anyone who wants to leave the area to designated humanitarian crossing points.

The western propaganda is repeating its "save Aleppo" campaign to save the terrorists in Ghouta. In the process the western aligned countries are making a joke (vid) out of the UN Security Council. There is no mention in this campaign of any Takfiri and no picture of any of the sectarian militants who daily kill random people in Damascus. This rings hollow writes Robert Fisk.

The Invasion Of Panama And The Proclamation of a Lone Superpower Above The Law

Twenty five years ago, before dawn on December 20, 1989, U.S. forces descended on Panama City and unleashed one of the most violent, destructive terror attacks of the century. U.S. soldiers killed more people than were killed on 9/11. They systematically burned apartment buildings and shot people indiscriminately in the streets. Dead bodies were piled on top of each other; many were burned before identification. The aggression was condemned internationally, but the message was clear: the United States military was free to do whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted, and they would not be bound by ethics or laws.

The invasion and ensuing occupation produced gruesome scenes: “People burning to death in the incinerated dwellings, leaping from windows, running in panic through the streets, cut down in cross fire, crushed by tanks, human fragments everywhere,” writes William Blum. [1]

Mattis: Artificial Intelligence Could Change ‘Fundamental Nature of War’

On his way home after the Munich Security Conference last week, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis speculated that artificial intelligence could change the “fundamental nature of war.” The security conference gave the impression that no one is truly prepared for that change.

“I’m certainly questioning my original premise that the fundamental nature of war will not change. You’ve got to question that now. I just don’t have the answers yet,” Mattis replied when asked about the impact of A.I.

The famously well-read defense secretary took pains to distinguish between the character of warfare and its fundamental nature. He quoted Carl von Clausewitz to the effect that warfare is a “chameleon” that “changes to adapt to its time, to the technology, to the terrain,” but noted that was a reference to the character of warfare, not its deeper nature.

Despite sanctions there are reasons of sovereignty and modernization for Germany and Europe to resort to Russian armaments

‘Wrong step could bring catastrophe’: Japanese mayor wants US F-16s grounded after fuel tank drop

The mayor of a Japanese town close to the Misawa Airbase, stationing US warplanes, has called for the grounding of American F-16 fighter jets. The demand comes after one fighter dumped its fuel tanks over a lake.

On Tuesday, a US F-16 fighter jet caught fire midflight, forcing the pilot to drop two external auxiliary fuel tanks into Lake Ogawara in Aomori Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The lake is near the Misawa base and is reportedly a popular place among local fishermen, who claim that the tanks fell between 200 and 400 meters away from clam boats.

Russia Deploys Two Brand New Su-57 Stealth Fighters To Syria

Unverified photos and video footage has emerged on Twitter, showing two new Russian Su-57 stealth fighters, also known as the PAK FA and T-50, landing at Khemimim air base, near Latakia, in northwestern Syria.

The two stealth combat aircraft were reportedly part of a larger package of assets deployed to the Russian airbase in Syria.

Spotlight: Peace far away as showdown approaches Syria's Eastern Ghouta

The rebel-held Eastern Ghouta in the countryside of Syrian capital Damascus has witnessed intense airstrikes and shelling as military showdown is approaching.

The spark of the recent unprecedented violence was ignited a couple of months ago when al-Qaida-linked groups launched an offensive against a key military base in the city of Harasta in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta countryside of Damascus, prompting a counter military offensive in that area.

The attacks at the times were coupled with rebels shelling of the capital Damascus, and Syrian airstrikes targeting the rebel positions in Eastern Ghouta.

But the situation has dramatically worsened in recent days when a wide-scale military offensive on Eastern Ghouta was in place, preparing to end the presence of al-Qaida-linked groups in that area.

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Sigh) This is the worst kind of war; in packed, urban areas, where it can be impossible to detect friend from foe, and innocents get killed on a routine basis.

I sincerely hope (and pray) that the Russians, in concert with the Syrian military, have formulated a strategy which can guarantee the minimum numbers of civilian casualties possible here, but understand that this will be extraordinarily difficult.

Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation Comes Under Massive Fire

Sputnik has received reports that the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation, a peace monitoring and humanitarian organization jointly run by Russia and Turkey, came under attack on Tuesday. No Russian casualties were reported from the incident, but Syrian civilians have been reported dead and injured.

"Residential areas, hotels in Damascus, as well as the Russian Center for Syrian reconciliation came under massive shelling by illegal armed groups operating in East Ghouta area today, causing significant infrastructural damage and casualties among the civilian population," the center said in a statement.

"There are no casualties among the Russian military personnel," the statement added.

THE MILITARY WANTS GENETICALLY-MODIFIED SEA CREATURES TO SNITCH ON ENEMY SHIPS

The US military wants to enlist fish and other sea life to help it track enemy warships and submarines at sea. The Persistent Aquatic Living Sensors program could also modify existing species to make them better underwater spies, an effort that would face stiff opposition from environmental groups.

he Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Pentagon’s blue-sky research and development wing, announced the PALS earlier this month. The program "will study natural and modified organisms to determine which ones could best support sensor systems that detect the movement of manned and unmanned underwater vehicles," DARPA stated on its website.

Navy sends destroyers to Black Sea to ‘desensitize’ Russia

The Navy has deployed the guided-missile destroyer Carney to join the destroyer Ross in the Black Sea in a move that U.S. military officials told CNN is intended to “desensitize” Russia to the presence of American military assets in the strategically important region.

The deployment of the Carney marks the first time in four years that two American destroyers have operated in the Black Sea outside of scheduled exercises. The move comes as Russia continues to militarize Crimea, the peninsula it seized from Ukraine in 2014.

In recent years, the U.S. and NATO have accused Russia of sending troops and military hardware to Crimea, and there are now reports that submarines have been added to the mix.

Nevertheless, U.S. and NATO officials have insisted that they are not playing tit-for-tat with the Russians.

War Crimes in America

The US military has killed, maimed and made homeless well over 20,000,000 people since the Vietnam War.

Let's bring the Vietnam War home...

Enough dead bodies to line up, head placed to feet, around the perimeter of Louisiana.[2]

Meanwhile all of New York City, and Chicago are refugeed.

Three Atlantas are filled with war orphans.

And 317 elementary schools are filled with children deformed from Agent Orange, unexploded cluster bombs, and landmines.

Our nation admits these are war crimes of the highest degree.[1]John Kerry, Secretary of State: "[the Vietnam War] was contrary to the laws of the Geneva Convention, and ordered as established policies from the top down." "The men who ordered this are war criminals."

Washington Delivers New Ultimatum on Iran

The US State Department has issued a fresh ultimatum on the Iran nuclear deal to Washington’s ostensible major allies in Europe, demanding that Germany, Britain and France commit themselves to altering the agreement along the lines demanded by President Donald Trump or face its unilateral abrogation by the US.

A secret State Department cable obtained by Reuters presents what are essentially the same demands made by Trump last January. At that time, he announced that he was prepared to relaunch all-out US economic warfare against Iran unless the European powers joined Washington in imposing a rewritten nuclear accord on Tehran, including provisions that the Iranian government cannot and will not accept.

The Coming Wars to End All Wars

The Trump and Netanyahu governments have a problem: How to start a greatly expanded Middle-Eastern war without having a justifiable reason for one. No doubt they are working hard to solve this urgent problem. If they can’t find a “justification” (which they can’t), they will have to create one (which they will). Or perhaps they will find what they have already created. Whatever the solution, we should feel confident that they are not sitting on their hands. History teaches those who care to learn that when aggressors place a gun on the wall in the first act of their play, it must go off in the final act.

Risking Major Escalation, Trump Weighs Killing Of Russian Fighters In Syria As Sign Of "Tough Stance" Toward Putin

In the aftermath of Robert Mueller's indictment against 13 Russian "operatives" for meddling with the US presidential election, President Trump has been under fire for lashing out at everyone... except Russia. So, in response, Bloomberg reports that the Trump administration is weighing citing the deaths of more than 200 Russian fighters - or rather mercenaries - in Syria, who were killed following US strikes on February 7, as an example of Trump's tough stance toward Russia.

Recall that last week, "more than 200 mercenaries, mostly Russians fighting on behalf of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, died in a failed attack on a base and refinery held by U.S. and U.S.-backed forces in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region" In terms of total body count, the U.S. official put the death toll at about 100, with 200 to 300 injured; while Russia admitted that Russians were killed, it said the number was five and denied that the men killed were officially sanctioned Russian troops.

FLASHBACK - “Wipe the Soviet Union Off the Map”, 204 Atomic Bombs against 66 Major Cities, US Nuclear Attack against USSR Planned During World War II

According to a secret document dated September 15, 1945, “the Pentagon had envisaged blowing up the Soviet Union with a coordinated nuclear attack directed against major urban areas.

All major cities of the Soviet Union were included in the list of 66 “strategic” targets. The tables below categorize each city in terms of area in square miles and the corresponding number of atomic bombs required to annihilate and kill the inhabitants of selected urban areas.

Six atomic bombs were to be used to destroy each of the larger cities including Moscow, Leningrad, Tashkent, Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa.

The Pentagon estimated that a total of 204 atomic bombs would be required to “Wipe the Soviet Union off the Map”. The targets for a nuclear attack consisted of sixty-six major cities.

The Military-Industrial Complex Is Winning The "Guns Vs. Butter" War In America

Think of it as the chicken-or-the-egg question for the ages: Do very real threats to the United States inadvertently benefit the military-industrial complex or does the national security state, by its very nature, conjure up inflated threats to feed that defense machine?

Back in 2008, some of us placed our faith, naively enough, in the hands of mainstream Democrats -- specifically, those of a young senator named Barack Obama. He would reverse the war policies of George W. Bush, deescalate the unbridled Global War on Terror, and right the ship of state. How’d that turn out?

CASE 4000: NETANYAHU CONFIDANT REPORTEDLY TO TURN STATE'S WITNESS

Suspended Communications Ministry director-general Shlomo Filber, a confidant of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was expected to sign a state’s witness deal on Tuesday night as part of police investigation Case 4000.

Filber is reportedly suspected of bribery, fraud, breach of trust and other offenses, it was revealed on Tuesday.

He allegedly was Netanyahu’s “long-arm” in this case, and acted in his name in several deals that were allegedly done with the Bezeq telecommunications company and an attempt to sell the Walla media outlet. Filber’s testimony is reportedly expected to incriminate the prime minister.

The Justice Ministry refused to confirm or deny the report.

The state’s witness deal that is on offer to Filber does not include time in prison, said a Kan – Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation report.

Prepping: Billionaires Brace For The Apocalypse And New World Order - Mac Slavo

In the event that the entire economy collapses and food and become scarce, billionaires are looking for high-end places to hold out and await the new world order. Many billionaires are now preparing for the apocalypse, and their survival plans don’t include anyone outside the global elites.

Peter Thiel, the billionaire behind PayPal, is among those tech giants who see New Zealand as a good place to go in the event of an apocalypse. New Zealand is seen as a particularly safe place for billionaires in the event of an apocalypse. In fact, Thiel has bought a $13.5 million 193-hectare section on the shores of Lake Wanaka, although the only building there at the moment is a barn (that can be seen).

Webmaster's Commentary:

At this point, people need to understand that more wars, a market crash, are potentially coming.

And one doesn't have to be a zillionaire to understand the importance of prepping, no matter what the emergency will be.

The world may well not be headed toward an apocalypse, but it looks like there will be some rough things may coming our way.

I know that I sound like a chipped CD, but please; make preparations to have
extra water, food, prescriptions, and a plan to follow should something awful be headed your way.

Find a mode of self-protection with which you, and your family, feel comfortable.

Find like-minded people in your community with whom you can barter, and who will add to the cohesiveness of whatever intentional family you are with.

All of this needs to be done, and right now.

Make sure, if you have kids in school, that you know what the school's policy on letting kids get picked up by their parents, even if it is not the end of the school day.

War Preparation: Romania Orders $1 Billion Of U.S. HIMARS Missile Launchers

Romania’s commitment to increase its defense budget to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) target of 2 percent of GDP has spurred the government to approve a $1 billion purchase of American-made M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Against what other country is Romania planning to use these weapons?!?

Possibly in a US government/NATO jinned up war against Russia?!?

Because at the end of the day, folks, that is at least one of the wonderful, wacky little wars NATO and the US government have been concocting.

From last year, we have the following article by Paul Craig Roberts, talking about a very serious geopolitical "trajectory" moving forward in order to stop the ascent of the ruble and the yuan:

Washington Plans to Nuke Russia & China

Notice the uptick, in US "faux news", of the demonization of Russia?!?

Notice that this Russia demonization is coupled with both US and European sanctions against it?!?

These acts, when avaluated together, are most probably a very ugly prelude to an even uglier war.

Again, this appears to be a question of timing, and what NATO and the US government think they can use to "sell" the war to US and European citizens.

Dancing To Washington's Tune: NATO Creates Military Schengen, Launches Iraq Mission

The ministers said yes to the creation of military Schengen to ease forces movements across the Old Continent. NATO is to do away with the cumbersome and lingering bureaucratic procedures hindering transportation of troops and hardware through territories of member states. One of the solutions is a standardized form used by European allies and partner states for granting permission for movements. Germany has offered to host the command center to implement the concept of free transit zone in view of its vast experience in providing logistical support.

The decision is taken amid burgeoning preparations to boost military infrastructure near Russia’s borders.

To augment the forces in East Europe, the Black Sea, the Baltics and the Scandinavian Peninsula the bloc needs new logistic hubs. Unobstructed large-scale transport movements become top priority for implementation of the war plans, such as concentrating combat-ready stocks for a full US brigade in Poland.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: get ready for the great number of wars the US government and NATO are planning.

Syrian Fighters Enter Afrin; Turkey Retaliates With Immediate Bombardment Sending Turkish Lira, Stocks Tumbling

As we reported yesterday, in a surprising twist in the ongoing Syrian proxy war, YPG Kurdish fighters in north-western Syria - who are backed by the US - had struck a deal with the Russia-backed Assad regime for Syrian forces to enter the Afrin region and repel a Turkish offensive which began last month.

Badran Jia Kurd, an advisor to the Kurdish-led administration in northern Syria told Reuters that Syrian troops will deploy along several border positions and could enter the region within the next two days: "we can cooperate with any side that lends us a helping hand in light of the barbaric crimes and the international silence," Jia Kurd said.

We didn't have long to wait for this escalation to unfold, and moments ago a convoy of fighters waving Syrian flags entered the northern Kurdish-held region of Afrin, which Turkey is targeting in a cross-border operation, according to footage on Syrian state TV shows.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So give me a moment to get my head around this; the Syrian Army is now assisting the US-supported Kurds in fending off a Turkish invasion of Afrin?!?

IF a country's leadership is intellectually gifted, they will chose their battles, and enemies, and scenarios for winning very carefully; Erdogan, in his unhinged bloodlust against even the non-militant Kurds, thought such a scenario as the US supported Kurds being assisted by the Syrian Army could never happen.

In war, sometimes, you need to consider, far ahead of actual events, what you will do if the unthinkable actually happens, which it did in this case.

Police encourage right-wing plans to seize Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa

President Donald Trump’s declaration that the US would move its Israel embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was met with global condemnation and warnings that it could lead to a violent escalation.

But another threat to Jerusalem’s status quo, though no less dangerous, has received little international attention by comparison: Right-wing Israeli activists gained significant ground in their goal to take over the al-Aqsa mosque compound in the last year.

The so-called Temple movement, which has backers in Israel’s parliament and religious establishment, seeks to increase the number of Jews visiting the al-Aqsa mosque compound, one of the holiest sites for Muslims.

Swelling numbers of Jewish visitors, the movement believes, will force the hand of the Israeli government to grant permission to Jews to pray there.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would love to hope that through some concilliatory process between Jerusalem's Muslims and Jews, there could be an accord reached about sharing the space, which is holy to both faiths.

Unfortunately, there has been such hideous emnity between both groups that this has become an absolute non-starter.

But the notion of destroying the Dome of the Rock, also housed in the mosque compound, and the construction of a Jewish temple in its place?!? I frankly think that Israel would never be able to contain the blowback from such an act.

Escalation in Syria – How Far Can the Russians be Pushed? - The Saker

A new US strategy in Syria: to punish the Russians as much as possible short of an overt US attack on Russian forces.

Events in Syria have recently clearly taken a turn for the worse and there is an increasing amount of evidence that the Russian task force in Syria is being targeted by a systematic campaign of “harassing attacks”.

First, there was the (relatively successful) drone and mortar attack on the Russian Aerospace base in Khmeimin. Then there was the shooting down of a Russian SU-25 over the city of Maasran in the Idlib province. Now we hear of Russian casualties in the US raid on a Syrian column (along with widely exaggerated claims of “hundreds” of killed Russians).

Lebanon ready to confront any ‘Israeli aggression at all costs’ – army

The Lebanese army has reaffirmed its readiness to confront the “Israeli aggression” by any means at its disposal if the ongoing disputes and already tense relations between the neighbors escalate into an armed confrontation.
“I reaffirm again our categorical rejection of the Israeli enemy infringing on Lebanon’s sovereignty and its sacred right to exploit all its economic resources,” General Joseph Aoun said, as quoted by the Lebanese army. “The army will not spare any method available to confront any Israeli aggression, whatever that costs.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Tillerson and Satterfield are completely wasting their time here; the IDF has their game plan for an invasion of Lebanon, and the Lebanese Military and Hezbollah, have theirs for defending it.

This is not a question of if an armed conflict will break out between these two countries, as Israel's Netanyahu sees any conflict as a distraction from corruption charges which have been suggested against him; it is only a question of when.

And we believe that any dealings with those companies only serve to enrich the Revolutionary Guards and cause them to cause more mischief within the region and the world,” Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir told CNBC.

Munich Conference: "For The First Time In Decades We Are Facing Threat Of Nuclear Conflict"

And while there have been times in recent years when the MSC demonstrated signs of hope and optimism, none of that was evident this year. This year’s motto “To the Brink – and Back?”- which seems to be an accurate portrayal of the current geopolitical situations in most regions. After several days of senior decision-makers bickering back and forth, the negativity in the atmosphere only means one thing: A global conflict between nuclear superpowers is lingering.

“I was hoping when I opened this conference on Friday that, in concluding the conference, I would be able to say we can delete the question mark. In other words: ‘We are back from the brink,'” former German diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger said in closing remarks of the MSC. “I’m actually not sure we can say that,” he added.

Inside US-Thai war games where soldiers guzzle cobra blood

American and Asian soldiers have been flexing their muscles in the latest Cobra Gold war games, where some participants are required to drink the blood of decapitated snakes.

The exercise kicked off last week in Korat, Thailand, where military personnel from the US, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia joined the host nation in stress shooting and ambitious assault training. At least 6,800 US troops are taking part in the 10-day tournament, approximately double the number of personnel that attended the event last year.

WHY WASHINGTON STRUCK RUSSIAN CONTRACTORS IN SYRIA?

On February 7, the US B-52 bombers and Apache helicopters struck a contingent of Syrian government troops and allied forces in Deir al-Zor that reportedly killed and wounded dozens of Russian military contractors working for the Russian private security firm, the Wagner group.

In order to understand the reason why the US brazenly attacked the Russian contractors, we need to keep the backdrop of seven-year-long Syrian conflict in mind. Washington has failed to topple the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

ISRAEL IS DIRECTLY ARMING AT LEAST 7 SYRIAN REBEL GROUPS

Israel’s mounting interest in Syria’s War, and in particular in picking fights with the Assad government, Iran, and any other Shi’ite factions in the country, have included reports by analysts of a growing amount of Israeli arms and ammunition flowing across the border for rebels.

Officially, Israel isn’t a big fan on Sunni Islamist organizations. Such groups are the bulk of the rebellion on the Golan frontier, and that’s made them groups Israel has a very serious interest in seeing survive and thrive on the border.

Israeli officials have been very public in the past saying they prefer ISIS over the Alawite government in Syria. Expressing such a preference and arming terrorists are two different things, and Israel’s effort to step up arming for Islamist groups risks regional blowback.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now that corruption charges have been recommended against Netanyahu, expect a brisk acceleration of everything he is trying to to accomplish regime change in Lebanon; Syria; and Iran. And from Sunday's LA Times, we have the following development:

Netanyahu in deeper peril as more Israeli officials are arrested on corruption charges

I originally expected such an uptick in regional Middle East conflict when he returned from addressing AIPAC here in Washington DC in the beginning of March, then seeing what President Trump was actually willing to "greenlight", in terms of US military response and involvement, once the two had met.

However, right now, he is a politcally wounded animal; and all animals are at their most dangerous when they are wounded.

I frankly am expecting much more geopolitical madness from Netanyahu, and soon, because losing the power and prestiege of the office of Prime Minister, under the conditions of an actual conviction on these charges, will leave him with no "cover" like that his current position affords him.

DC shooter was ‘hearing voices’

Federal law enforcement authorities said Tuesday the gunman in the bloody mass murder at the Washington Navy Yard was a paranoid nutcase who had been hearing voices in his head.

Navy vet Aaron Alexis, 34, of Queens had been treated since August by the Veterans Administration for his mental problems, the officials told the Associated Press.

The Navy had not declared him mentally unfit, which would have rescinded a security clearance that Alexis had from his earlier time in the Naval Reserves.

Airport Shooter Said He Was “Mind Controlled” By A U.S. Intelligence Agency

Demoted and discharged Alaska National Guard private first class and alleged killer of 5 people at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Esteban Santiago, 26, may have been mind controlled or mentally ill, according to FBI officials.

Santiago told the F.B.I. he thought he was being mind controlled, possibly by the U.S. government or the C.I.A. and admitted hearing voices, which Santiago said told him to study “extremist materials on the Internet,” the New York Times reports.

Despite the fact that Santiago himself, his girlfriend, and even co-workers warned authorities of his experiences the F.B.I. failed to detain him before his travels to Florida.

MK-ULTRA Secret CIA Project MK-ULTRA on Mind Control

Dear friends,

Project MK-ULTRA was a top secret CIA program with the express mission to develop a variety of methods to control the human mind and behavior. Declassified documents prove that young women were hypnotized and trained to plant bombs, kill people, and much more, yet they showed no memory of having done this after completing successful training. They became effective "Manchurian Candidates" – spies and assassins who were not consciously aware of their actions committed in altered states.

Though Project MKULTRA was terminated in the late 1960s, numerous insiders have revealed that other even more sophisticated secret mind control programs continue to this day. Is there a deeper agenda behind all of this? Is it possible that factions of the world's power elite are secretly using MK-ULTRA tactics behind the scenes to manipulate global politics through the use of mind control? Read the excellent essay below and decide for yourself.

I HEAR VOICES: MKUltra? A Worrying Trend Of Mass Shooting Suspects Throughout History Before Committing Horrific Murders

The kid was hearing voices in his head.

Direct energy weapons are electromagnetic signals used for lethal or nonlethal purpose. One such example of use is creating pain in a target but the other nefarious usage is beaming voices into a target's head to either coerce someone into doing a violent act or to drive them insane.

Yes, this type of technology has existed and has been being worked on since as early as the 1950's-60's during MKUltra.

The Relevance of Mind Control and Mass Shootings

At least one of the recent spate of murderous shooting rampages show evidence of high level mind control of the perpetrator. The Aurora shooter, James Holmes is reported to have told another inmate that he thought he was in a video game at the time of the shooting and that he had been programmed and rehearsed to complete the shooting at the movie theater.

Crazy, you say?

COVERT MIND CONTROL PROGRAMS AND MASS SHOOTINGS

Waking Times

This article is going to be hard for some people to accept. Depending on what level of awareness you currently have and how far you have ventured into the rabbit-hole some of the information presented thus forward may be overwhelming and/or frightening some of the claims made may make you skeptical of the truth, again depending on your perception of reality. Before we jump into the realization that covert elements of the United States Central Intelligence agency and it’s black budget apparatus have been using military mind-control technology to implement false-flag terror attacks on the American people as part of a larger geo-political agenda, lets first ask ourselves if these type of technologies could even exist?

World Watches as All-Out War Between Israel and Iran Inches Closer

Over the weekend, Israel used the long-standing adversarial threat of Iran as a pretext to launch a barrage of attacks against targets in Syrian territory. According to the Israeli side, an Iranian drone launched from Syria flew deep into Israeli airspace, which prompted Israel to not only down the drone, but to also target the base the drone was allegedly launched from in Syria.

The US is Executing a Global War Plan

Washington is moving inevitably on a global war plan. That’s the grim conclusion one has to draw from three unfolding war scenarios.

Ultimately, it’s about American imperialism trying to assert hegemony over the international order for the benefit of US capitalism. Russia and China are prime targets for this global assault.

The three unfolding war scenarios are seen in Syria, North Korea and Ukraine. These are not disparate, disassociated conflicts. They are inter-related expressions of the American war plans. War plans which involve the moving of strategic military power into position.

Turkey Threatens To Invade Greece

In an incident that took place less than two weeks after the Greek Defense Ministry announced that Turkey had violated Greek airspace 138 times in a single day, a Turkish coast guard patrol boat on February 13 rammed a Greek coast guard vessel off the shore of Imia, one of many Greek islands over which Turkey claims sovereignty.

Most of the areas within modern Greece's current borders were under the occupation of the Ottoman Empire from the mid-15th century until the Greek War of Independence in 1821 and the establishment of the modern Greek state in 1832. The islands, however, like the rest of Greece, are legally and historically Greek, as their names indicate.

Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), however, and even much of the opposition seem intent on, if not obsessed with, invading and conquering these Greek islands, on the grounds that they are actually Turkish territory.

Goofy Indictments Divert Attention from Criminal Abuses at the FBI and DOJ

All of these suspects will go uninvestigated, unindicted, and unpunished just like the perpetrators of the Iraq War, just like the perpetrators of the Financial Meltdown, and just like the perpetrators of all the major crimes against the American people.

The evidence that the FBI and DOJ “improperly obtained” FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign affiliate, Carter Page, has now been overshadowed by the tragic massacre in Parkland, Florida and the obfuscating indictments of 13 Internet “trolls” who have not been linked to the Russian government and who are being used to conceal the fact that the 18 month-long witch hunt has not yet produced even one scintilla of hard evidence related to the original claims of “hacking or collusion”.

Admiral warns US must prepare for possibility of war with China

The navy admiral nominated to be the next US ambassador to Australia has told Congress America must prepare for the possibility of war with China, and said it would rely on Australia to help uphold the international rules-based system in the Asia-Pacific.

In an excoriating assessment of China’s increasingly muscular posture in the region, Harry Harris said Beijing’s “intent is crystal clear” to dominate the South China Sea and that its military might could soon rival American power “across almost every domain”.

Harris, soon to retire as the head of US Pacific Command in Hawaii, told the House armed services committee, the US and its allies should be wary of Beijing’s military expansionism in the region, and condemned China’s foreign influence operations, predatory economic behaviour and coercion of regional neighbours.

“China’s intent is crystal clear. We ignore it at our peril,” he said. “I’m concerned China will now work to undermine the international rules-based order.”

Is John Brennan the Mastermind Behind Russiagate?

What role did Obama play? What about the Intelligence Community Assessment? Was it based on the contents of the Steele report? Will the “hand-picked” analysts who worked on the report vouch for its conclusions in or were they coached about what to write? How did Brennan persuade the reluctant Comey into opening a counterintelligence investigation on members in the Trump campaign when he knew it would be perceived as a partisan attempt to sabotage the elections by giving Hillary an edge?

Soon the investigative crosshairs will settle on Brennan. He’d better have the right answers.

Anti-Trumpists Use Mueller Indictments to Escalate Tensions With Nuclear-Armed Russia

U.S. empire loyalists are so close to telling the truth when they babble about “Russian propaganda.” They are openly admitting that it is wrong to use media to manipulate the ways that Americans think and vote. Now all we need is for them to admit that they themselves do this constantly, and we’ll be on the right track.

The word “Russians” is America’s top trend on Twitter at the time of this writing because of a Mueller indictment of 13 alleged members of a Russian troll farm, those nefarious supervillains who posted pictures of puppies and promoted Bernie Sanders to “sow discord in the U.S. political system, including the 2016 U.S. election.”

Army recruitment numbers PLUNGE after 'DISASTROUS' decision leaves THOUSANDS dropping out

FURIOUS Army veterans have complained of staff shortages despite a record number of people applying to join the Armed Forces that blamed “red tape” for the gaff, it has been reported.

Thousands of those wishing to serve their country on the front line dropped out last year after they became frustrated with the application process that takes an average of 300 days to complete.

SAS veteran Andy McNab described the blunder “absolute madness” as he labelled the process a “bureaucratic nightmare”.

Mr McNab added: “How you can go from over 100,000 trying to join to less than 8,000 signing up defies belief.

Mueller: No Collusion Between Trump and Putin, But the Russia Card Is Bigger Than Ever

Sheer hypocrisy and crass dishonesty incarnate.

Now, a few days later—and thirteen indictments from one of Mueller’s grand juries, announced by the very same Rosenstein, specifically against more “Russian players” who reportedly “meddled” in the 2016 American elections, but without any connivance by the Trump campaign—and Rosenstein is feted as a veritable savior of the republic by those same commenters. Those Neocons who now selectively support the president and those bitterly anti-Russian Fox pundits (with the possible exception of Tucker Carlson) are absolutely giddy with delight! For too long, in their defense of President Trump against the charge of collusion, they had found themselves in the extremely uncomfortable situation (for them) of having to mount an attempt to exculpate the Russians, or at least lessen their culpability.

America: A Military Nation

Americans like to think of their country as different from those run by military regimes. They are only fooling themselves. Ever since the federal government was converted into a national-security state after World War II (without a constitutional amendment authorizing the conversion), it has been the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA that have run the government, just like in countries governed by military dictatorships.

Oh sure, the façade is maintained - the façade that is ingrained in all of us in civics or government classes in high school and college: that the federal government is composed of three co-equal, independent branches that are in charge of the government.

The 2018 Security Conference is under way in Munich, where British Prime Minister Theresa May is due to deliver a speech titled Road to Brexit: A Security Partnership.

In an upcoming address to world leaders attending the 2018 Munich Security Conference, UK Prime Minister Theresa May will tout a new UK-EU treaty on intelligence and security. She will also say that the safety of European citizens should not be jeopardized by "rigid institutional restrictions" and "deep-seated ideology."

"The challenge for all of us today is finding the way to work together, through a deep and special partnership between the UK and the EU, to retain the co-operation that we have built and go further in meeting the evolving threats we face together," according to May.

George W. Bush doesn't deserve the media's efforts at rehabilitation

“Our democracy is only as good as people trust the results,” former President George W. Bush declared in a presumably well-paid speech last week in the United Arab Emirates, a notorious Arab dictatorship. Bush is being exalted as if he is the second coming of George Washington thanks to his implied slams against the Trump administration. But Bush’s actions during his eight year reign did far more to ravage democracy at home and abroad than most people realize.

Thanks to gushing media coverage, Bush is enjoying one of the greatest comebacks in modern American history. In the summer of 2008, only 22 percent of Americans approved of Bush and 41 percent said he was the "worst president ever." Last month, a poll showed that 61 percent of Americans now approve of Bush, and his support among Democrats quintupled, from 11 percent in early 2009 to 54 percent now. If Americans want to understand current political challenges, they need to recall Bush’s forgotten debacles.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A couple of weeks ago, I believe on Faux news, I was watching a very vaccuous interview of the Bush twins, Barbara and Jenna, who apparently have (ghost) written a book on what their years growing up in a highly political family were like, titled "Sisters First."

Were I the television interviewer (something which will never happen, so the Bush family can collectively breathe more easily), my first question would have been "How does it feel, being the daughters of a war criminal"?!?

The screen would have gone blank, with a banner reading "Technical Difficulties", and I would have been dragged off the set, and thrown out the door of the studio in complete ignominy.

But would it have been worth it?!? HELL, YES!! :-)

This country needs to never forget, that under the Bush era, this democratic republic moved from "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" to "The land of the surveilled and the home of the cowed."

Sad Old Men Will Attack Russia at the Munich 'Security' Conference

The annual Munich Security Conference (MSC) will take place on February 16-18. No doubt the participants will paint Russia as a bully who is responsible for each and every thing that is going wrong, while the “innocent” West is calling for restraint and is ready to go to any length to preserve peace on earth.

The West is innocent? Russia is a bully and a threat? This is the right time to look at recent events to see what’s really happening. The US 2019 draft budget released on Feb. 12 asks Congress to approve over $6.3 billion for the US-led NATO European Reassurance Initiative (ERI). In other words, this money is to be spent on a military build-up near Russia’s borders.

Sub-Par: Not a Single German Navy Submarine is Seaworthy

Germany’s military hardware woes continue worsen: the German Parliament has announced that none of the German Navy’s submarines are in operational condition. The navy maintains six submarines, but accidents and wear and tear have rendered all of them unusable.

"It's a real disaster for the navy, it's the first time in history that there will not be any submarine operating for months," said Hans-Peter Bartels, parliamentary commissioner for the armed forces in the Bundestag, in an interview with Berlin newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

Bartels added that the primary culprit behind the crisis was a failure of the German military to maintain the subs and replace outdated equipment.

US Pacific Command Admiral ready for war with China, but hopes it won’t happen

“China’s ongoing military buildup, advancement, and modernization are core elements of their strategy to supplant the U.S. as the security partner of choice for countries in the Indo-Pacific, but China also holds clear global ambitions,” Harris continued.

“At the end of the day the ability to wage war is important or you become a paper tiger. [We will] cooperate where we can, but remain ready to confront where we must,” he remarked. “I’m hopeful that it won’t come to a conflict with China, but we must all be prepared for that if it should come to that.”

However, Harris’ rhetoric may not be so well-received, as Canberra’s interests remain intrinsically linked to the Chinese.

ISRAEL HITS TARGET IN GAZA WITH TANK FIRE AFTER ‘DEVICE EXPLODES’ NEAR IDF PATROL

An Israeli tank fired at an observation post located in the southern Gaza Strip, the country’s Defense Forces (IDF) said. The shelling followed an explosive device being detonated near the Israeli patrol in the area.

IDF troops were patrolling an area near the security fence in the Gaza Strip, the military tweeted. It is still unclear if the explosion resulted in any casualties. In response, the IDF used a tank to target an observation post in the area.

On February 10, more than 50 Palestinian protesters were injured by Israeli forces, which used live ammunition to suppress the 10th ‘Friday of Rage’ rally. The latest major clash between the Israeli military and the Palestinian armed groups occurred in November when the IDF used tanks and jets to attack Hamas positions following the mortar shelling of an Israeli outpost by another militant group.

US will spend $120 million on hypersonic missiles that can strike ANYWHERE in the world at 3,800mph in an effort to keep up with China and Russia

Hypersonic missiles that can fly at many times the speed of sound are leading to an arms race between the world's three greatest super-powers.

The weapons, currently being tested by the US, China and Russia, are designed to beat regular anti-missile defence systems and can strike anywhere in the world.

They can switch direction in flight and do not follow a predictable arc like conventional missiles.

Now, the Pentagon has applied for $120 million (£85m) in funding to develop technologies to intercept the next generation munitions.
