She's a drum-playing radical doctor who calls WiFi 'low-level radiation' and says she'd put Edward Snowden in her cabinet: Meet Jill Stein - the failed Green Party presidential candidate now holding Trump's election hostage

The woman who is holding Donald Trump's election hostage is a 66-year-old drum-playing radical doctor who has called for the release of one of the country's most notorious cop killers and is facing charges of vandalism.

And Harvard-educated Jill Stein says she would even put NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in her cabinet in the unlikely event that she was ever elected president.

But Stein was seen as such an irrelevance in the general election that even her local weekly paper in Lexington, Massachusetts, failed to mention her in its round-up of polling results in the town.

'In Lexington, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took 13,895 votes while Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump took 3,278,' the Lexington Minuteman reported without mentioning the woman who, temporarily at least, is the town's most famous resident, anywhere in its article.

Now however, thanks to her challenge of election results in three key states, Stein, who retired from work a decade ago, has moved close to the center of the political universe and is even due to make a star appearance on The View on Wednesday.
