‘US, Saudi Arabia Threaten Human Rights’

The US government’s support for Saudi Arabia in its brutal war against Yemen highlights that Washington and Riyadh threaten human rights and are indifferent to human suffering, says an American analyst.

“Human rights matter for the United States as rhetorical device to allow intervention in various countries’ affairs,” said Don DeBar, a political commentator and radio host in New York.

FLASHBACK - The Clintons’ connection to the Panama Papers

When the recently leaked “Panama Papers” exposed the existence of thousands of offshore bank accounts of the politically high and mighty, Hillary Clinton quickly decried them as “outrageous tax havens” for “the super-rich.”

But it turns out that the Democratic presidential front-runner and her husband have multiple connections with people named in the papers — including staffers and major donors, McClatchy Newspapers revealed Saturday night.

Trump Sends Second Aircraft Carrier To Korean Peninsula With 7,500 Marines Aboard

Just one week after uttering his now-infamous “this is the calm before the storm” statement to the press ahead of a dinner with military leaders, we now learn that President Trump has dispatched a second nuclear aircraft carrier, the USS Theodore Roosevelt, filled with 7,500 marines, to the Korean Peninsula. Of course, this comes after rumors swirled earlier this week that North Korea is preparing to fire multiple short-range rockets around the opening of the Chinese Communist Party’s twice-a-decade congress on Oct. 18th.

Iraqi Kurd Army Agrees To Return To 2003 Border, Oil Slides

In a dramatic de-escalation of recent hostilities in Iraqi Kurdistan, where in a blitz campaign the Iraqi army was able to recapture Kirkuk , effectively regaining control of the oil-rich region, the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, i.e. the army of the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan told Sky News Arabia that it has agreed to return to the 2003 Iraq border, which if confirmed would be a major concession to Iraq which has been pushing for just this conclusion for the past month.

"The System Is Broken": Angry Baltimore Dad Lashes Out As 12th Grader Tests At 4th Grade Math Level

One Baltimore resident and disable Army veteran, Victor Able, Sr., is fed up with the public education that his son, a 12th grader on the verge of graduation, received from City Neighbors Charter School after he recently tested at 4th grade level in math and 5th grade level in reading. Able says his son was simply passed to the next grade year after year so that his school could continue to receive extra federal funding even though it failed to deliver results. After his complaints fell on deaf ears at city council and the mayor’s office, Able has now hired an attorney to address a system he says is "broken." Per Fox News:

According to the IEP report, the 12th grader reads at a 5th grade level; does math at a 4th grade level.

“It’s not supposed to happen,” stated Able. “I don’t want him to fall out into the streets.”

“They failed my son,” said Able. “Not just my son, a whole lot of kids. The system is broken. They need to stop and fix it.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

God bless this man for taking on the teachers' union in Baltimore.

Unions are an absolute blight on the system, many times preventing students from receiving anything approximating an excellent education.

FBI Uncovered Russian Bribery Plot Before Obama Approved Uranium One Deal, Netting Clintons Millions

As the mainstream media continues to obsess over $100,000 worth Facebook ads allegedly purchased by Russian spies in 2016 seeking to throw the presidential election, we're almost certain they'll ignore the much larger Russian bombshell dropped today in the form of newly released FBI documents that reveal for the very first time that the Obama administration was well aware of illegal bribery, extortion and money laundering schemes being conducted by the Russians to get a foothold in the atomic energy business in the U.S. before approving a deal that handed them 20% of America's uranium reserves...and resulted in a windfall of donations to the Clinton Foundation.

US 'not taking sides' between Iraqi forces, Kurds: Trump

Washington is "not taking sides" following clashes between Iraqi forces and the country's Kurds, US President Donald Trump said Monday, as tensions escalate following the autonomous Kurdish region's independence referendum.

Speaking after Iraqi troops and tanks swept across the northern province capturing oil and military targets from the Kurds and seizing the governor's office in Kirkuk city, Trump made clear he was not going to inject himself into the dispute between two US allies in the fight against the Islamic State group.

"We're not taking sides, but we don't like the fact that they're clashing," Trump told journalists. "We've had for many years a very good relationship with the Kurds.

"We've also been on the side of Iraq," he said, "but we're not taking sides in that battle."

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here; you cannot wiggle out of your complicity, via your foreign policy in both Iraq and Syria, in creating this train wreck; please don't even try here, because it is making you look foolish.

U.S. Evacuation Drills in South Korea Heighten Fears of Military Action

The United States military said on Monday that it would practice evacuating noncombatant Americans out of South Korea in the event of war and other emergencies, as the two allies began a joint naval exercise amid heightened tensions with North Korea.

It has conducted similar evacuation exercises for decades. But with fears rising in the South that the United States might be preparing for military action against the North, the American military issued a rare news release on Monday stressing that the noncombatant evacuation exercise was a “routinely scheduled” drill.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a non-combatant American in South Korea, understanding that this kind of drill was taking place, in and around the other drills being performed, I would definitely be more than a little antsy also.

Despite Campaign Promises, Arms Shipments to Saudis Skyrocket Under Trump

Before President Donald Trump flouted longstanding tradition by choosing Saudi Arabia as the destination of his first foreign visit as president, where he was lavished with gifts and reportedly struck a record-setting arms deal with the kingdom (after his administration called the CEO of Lockheed Martin to get a cheaper deal for the Saudis); before he took part in the male-only sword dance in Riyadh; before he ramped up support for the widely criticized Saudi-led war in Yemen; before he undermined his own secretary of State’s position by siding with the Saudis in their alarming diplomatic row with the Qataris—before any of this, Trump actually castigated Saudi Arabia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The sad reality here is, no political candidate for President, no matter their protestations on the campaign, is any less bought than their rivals by the corporations which own them, and have been placed into a position of high power to do their bidding.

That is the truth; and in the most profoundly disappointing way possible, President Trump has proven this once again.

Saudi Arabia is one of the wealthiest, but most socially backward countries in the Middle East; the practice of any religion other than the very severe Wahabi interpretation of the Koran, is forbidden; young women are still routinely gentially mutilated; and most of the population lives in abject poverty, while the monied and titled live in a degree of splendor very hard to comprehend by people who have not witnessed it.

President Trump has acted as though he believes that war is "good for business".

The only problem with this, vis a vis Saudi Arabia, is that the Saudi government and military, with US military assistance, are waging a genocidal war against the Yemeni people.

Toddlers and children are routinely killed and maimed in Saudi bombing strikes; together, with US Naval assistance, Saudi military has blockaded Yemeni ports, so no food can get in, leaving children dying from the complications of malnutrition; and now (possibly a weaponized strain of) cholera has taken hold of Yemen, in the worst outbreak in recorded history.

These, folks, are war crimes; and I am not someone who wants to be a citizen of a country complicit in war crimes. Unfortunately, Mike and I are too old, and too broke, to move to a country which doesn't indulge in this massively uncivilised behavour.

Yes, the American Merchants of Death are having a field day, with these sales of bombs, fighters, and bullets to Saudi Arabia, and their bottom lines look incredibly terrific; but at what moral cost to the soul and spirit of this country?!?

This is a question no one in the US government, including President Trump, seems to dare to want to ask, but I have to.

And in terms of President's Trump's new BFF in the Middle East, Prince Salman, who has orchestrated this brutal asault on the Yemeni people; you may have many honorifics which come with your royal title. However, there is one title which will soon haunt you to your grave and beyond: that of The Butcher of Yemen.

Two US partners fighting ISIS are now fighting each other

raqi Security Forces staged an assault on the oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Monday morning, forcing Kurdish Peshmerga forces to withdraw from the area.

Civilians began to flee the area as the assault began. Some reports claim that the Peshmerga units withdrew instead of fighting back, though Kurdish officials reported some exchanges of fire. Government forces targeted Kirkuk's rich oil fields and a military air base. Pictures posted on social media showed massive lines of vehicles attempting to flee the attack.

The Peshmerga command referred to the operation as "a war against the Kurds." Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi ordered the assault due to concerns that the country was in danger of "partition." Kurdish fighters seized the city from Islamic State forces three years ago after the Iraqi military failed to push back against the terrorist group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So what is the US government going to do now?!?

Is there ANYONE in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika, who can think a scenario through to its logical conclusion?!?

This was confirmed yesterday at antiwar.com in the following article:

Pentagon backs away as US allies perpare to battle in Iraqi Kurdistan

The article goes on to clarify the Pentagon's categorisation of the initial skirmishes as a simple"misunderstanding."

"MISUNDERSTANDING", my ASTROLABE; WE ARE LOOKING AT FULLY FLEDGED CIVIL WAR IN IRAQ RIGHT NOW!

OF COURSE, the Iraqi military wanted Kirkuk back from the Kurds, as it has one of the most oil-rich portions of the Middle East.

I cannot believe the complete insanity of the timing of this referendum by the Kurdish leadership, and what they thought their chances would be of miraculously having this happen, without Iraq fighting back.

I am just shaking my head here, at the Kurdish, Iraqi, and US leadership, or rather the absence thereof.

U.S. drone strike in Pakistan's NW region misses top Haqqani leader but kills commander

A U.S. drone strike in Pakistan Monday evening missed the leader of Pakistan's notorious Haqqani network by minutes but killed roughly twenty other militants, including one top commander of the terrorist group, as they gathered for a meeting, a Pakistani local intelligence official and a local government official confirmed to Circa.

U.S. intelligence officials would not comment on the strike but news reports from the region earlier in the evening suggest only five people were killed in the strike. Intelligence officials in Pakistan said one of the Haqqani's top commanders, Sangeen Wali, was killed during the strike, as reported by other outlets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course, not a word about civilian casualties, as usual.

Idaho deputies face lawsuit for fatal shooting of rancher

The family of an Idaho rancher who was fatally shot by two deputies filed a wrongful-death lawsuit Friday, accusing law enforcement officials of violating federal civil rights during and after shooting.

Jack Yantis, 62, was killed two years ago after one of his 2,500-pound bulls was hit by a car and charged emergency crews on a highway just north of the tiny town of Council in west-central Idaho. Yantis arrived with a rifle just as deputies decided to put down the animal. Authorities have said there was an altercation, and Yantis and two deputies fired their weapons.

“Even assuming for the sake of argument that the deputy had probable cause or reasonable suspicion, the deputy used excessive force to seize Jack,” states the 37-page complaint. “The deputies’ subsequent use of deadly force to kill Jack was intentional, unreasonable, and contrary to clearly established law.”

ISRAEL IS HIDING THAT ITS STATE-OF-ART F-35 WARPLANE WAS HIT BY SYRIAN S-200 MISSILE – REPORTS

According to the available information, the Syrian Defense Forces used a S-200 missile against the Israeli warplane. This Soviet-made missile is the most advanced long range anti-aircraft system opearated by the Syrian military. Even in this case, it’s old-fashioned in terms of the modern warfare.

Despite this, the Syrian Defense Ministry said in its statement that government forces responded to the violation of the airspace and “directly hit one of the jets, forcing [Israeli aircraft] to retreat.” This statement contradicts to the Israeli claim that “no hit” was confirmed.

Few hours after the missile incident with Syria, the Israeli media reported that the Israeli Air Force’s F-35 stealth multirole fighter went unserviceable as a result of an alleged bird collision during a training flight.

AstraZeneca buy Acerta faked cancer drug data, company admits

Back in 2015, AstraZeneca bought a majority stake in blood cancer biotech Acerta for $4 billion. But over the weekend, it said that some early data for its drug acalabrutinib was falsified.

AZ invested in the biotech for its bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor acalabrutinib (ACP-196). That drug is in a number of early, mid- and late-stage clinical trials across several blood cancers, including CLL and mantle cell lymphoma. It works in a similar way to AbbVie and Johnson & Johnson’s Imbruvica.

But Acerta had to recently retract an abstract, published in medical journal Cancer Research two years back—and just months before the AstraZeneca cash injection—which showed the drug as being effective in treating solid tumours in mice.

Type 1 Diabetes doubles in Mississippi children, are vaccines to blame?

While much of mainstream medicine would be loath to admit it, there is actually evidence that suggests vaccines can contribute to the onset of type 1 diabetes, in addition to other health problems. As the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) reports, doctors first started noticing signs of trouble back in 1949. At that time, doctors reported that children who received the pertussis vaccine (now part of the DPT shot) had issues with maintaining normal blood glucose levels. According to NVIC, research conducted with mice confirmed that the pertussis vaccine could cause type 1 diabetes.

But it’s not just the pertussis vaccine, now is it?

Serious Crypto-Flaw Lets Hackers Recover Private RSA Keys Used in Billions of Devices

If you think KRACK attack for WiFi is the worst vulnerability of this year, then hold on…

Microsoft, Google, Lenovo, HP and Fujitsu are warning their customers of a potentially serious vulnerability in widely used RSA cryptographic library produced by German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies.

It's noteworthy that this crypto-related vulnerability (CVE-2017-15361) doesn't affect elliptic-curve cryptography and the encryption standard itself, rather it resides in the implementation of RSA key pair generation by Infineon's Trusted Platform Module (TPM).

Microsoft Kept Secret That Its Bug-Tracking Database Was Hacked In 2013

It was not just Yahoo among "Fortune 500" companies who tried to keep a major data breach incident secret.

Reportedly, Microsoft had also suffered a data breach four and a half years ago (in 2013), when a "highly sophisticated hacking group" breached its bug-reporting and patch-tracking database, but the hack was never made public until today.

According to five former employees of the company, interviewed separately by Reuters, revealed that the breached database had been "poorly protected with access possible via little more than a password."

This incident is believed to be the second known breach of such a corporate database after a critical zero-day vulnerability was discovered in Mozilla's Bugzilla bug-tracking software in 2014.

Screenwriter close to Weinstein calls out Hollywood: 'Everybody f**king knew'

If you've tired of hearing Hollywood A-listers feign shock while sending proverbial "thoughts and prayers" to Harvey Wesintein's sexual assault victims, you're not alone.

Scott Rosenberg, a screenwriter (Beautiful Girls, Con Air, High Fidelity) who worked closely with Weinstein and Co. for a little under a decade, has had enough of the bullshit, too. And he's saying something not too many people in the industry are saying right now: "I am sorry."

"Everybody fucking knew," he wrote (not once, not twice, but three times) in a lyrical, near novella-length Facebook response to those shrinking away from responsibility in enabling Weinstein's behavior.

Hollywood's general unwillingness to face the music of personal accountability for the rot in their own industry added insult to injury in the onslaught of allegations. Because those (seemingly) well-meaning yet spineless responses only ensure one thing: that this will keep happening.

Kobe Steel Scandal Goes Nuclear: Company Faked Data For Decades, Had A "Fraud Manual"

Well, as of moments ago that tipping point was this much closer, when the same Nikkei reported that some Kobe Steel plants in Japan had been falsifying product quality data for decades, well beyond the roughly 10-year time frame given by the lying steelmaker. According to the Japanese newspaper, "employees involved in the data manipulation used the industry term tokusai to refer to shipping of products that did not meet the standards requested by customers", the Nikkei source said. Though tokusai usually refers to voluntary acceptance of such products, plants sometimes sent substandard goods without customers' consent. The word was apparently in use at some plants for 40 to 50 years.

Massive WiFi Flaw Affects All Connected Devices: ‘You Have To Wonder If It Was Corrupted On Purpose’

The security protocol used to protect the vast majority of WiFi connections has been broken. This will expose wireless internet traffic to malicious attack, according to the researcher who discovered this weakness.

It doesn’t bode well that the mainstream media is also ignoring this problem completely because it’s a very big deal. Anytime the mainstream media brushes something off, most start asking questions. Unfortunately, none of the answers we have so far to those questions are of comfort.

Considering every single cellphone now has WiFi in it and this major “weakness” could affect almost everyone. According to ARS Technica, researchers have disclosed a serious weakness in the WPA2 protocol that allows attackers within range of vulnerable device or access point to intercept passwords, e-mails, and other data presumed to be encrypted, and in some cases, to inject ransomware or other malicious content into a website a client is visiting.

Dramatic moment Iraqi forces enter Kurdish Kirkuk, captured by RT (VIDEO)

An RT Arabic crew has been on the frontline in Kirkuk and managed to film dramatic scenes showing the very moments the Iraqi military forced its way into the Kurdish-controlled city Monday.

The exclusive footage brought by RT Arabic correspondent Bzurk Muhammad shows tanks and armored personnel carriers roaming the empty Kirkuk roads while brandishing red, black and green Iraqi flags.

As they stream deeper into the city, thick white smoke starts filling the air. Men armed with rifles can be seen firing shots in the direction of the procession from a sidewalk, sparking panic among the onlookers.

As the Iraqi forces were preparing to take over, many of the locals opted to flee Kirkuk as it turned into a battle zone.

Lost temple of Ramses II is discovered in Giza: Incredible find sheds light on the ruler who fathered more children than ANY other pharaoh

The lost temple of Ramses II has been uncovered by archaeologists, shedding light one of Egypt's most revered leaders.

Among the 3,200-year-old ruins, researchers uncovered motifs devoted to ancient Egyptian sun gods - giving a unique insight into who he worshipped.

The temple, which was uncovered in the Abusir Necropolis in Giza, measures around 110 feet in width and 170 feet (34 by 52 metres) in length.

It is the latest colossal building revealed by archaeologists to have been constructed during Ramses II's illustrious 67-year reign.

Susan Rice calls ‘BS’ on AIPAC — but she pandered to the lobby when she was in power

One of the choicest moments from Donald Trump’s decertification of the Iran deal Friday was when the Israel lobby group AIPAC applauded his speech for “accurately” outlining the history and dangers of Iran’s “aggression,” and former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice promptly called bullshit.

The tweet is deliciously disturbing because Susan Rice had ample opportunity while she was in office to call out AIPAC’s bullshit, but she never did. In fact, she groveled to AIPAC on at least two occasions– below– and pleaded with the group to support the Iran deal– and completely affirmed the claim of Iran’s aggression she refutes now.

AN AL JAZEERA REPORTER WENT UNDERCOVER WITH THE PRO-ISRAEL LOBBY IN WASHINGTON

BRITAIN’S BROADCASTING REGULATOR on Monday concluded that Al Jazeera did not violate any rules in its controversial undercover investigation exposing the Israeli embassy’s campaign to target British citizens critical of Israel, a campaign that included attempts to destroy the careers of pro-Palestinian British politicians.

The Creed of Sleaze has a Warm Spot in Hell

The easiest way to destroy a country is to eliminate the moral fiber of her people.

As the predator ethos expands into every corner and crevice of society, the pervaders of filth dominate the mentally disturbed minds that have emerged as the new measure of public amorality.

The linkage between the war party within the District of Criminals and the screenplays used to direct the action of mass murder in the green lighted picture shows are startling.

Athens vs. Mondoweiss

In my new book, Being in Time – A Post Political Manifesto, I delve into the clear distinction between Athens and Jerusalem. Athens is the capitol of philosophy. In Athens we think things through. Jerusalem, on the other hand, is the city of laws that set the boundaries of correct thinking. In Jerusalem we obey first and think later.

In Being in Time I argue that the dystopia in which we live has a lot to do with the victory of Jerusalem over Athens. The tyranny of correctness is the backbone of the Identitarian and New Left reign. It has managed to obliterate our ability to apply reason and engage in an open vibrant intellectual exchange. It dismantles our dialogical culture and makes a farce of our academic institutions.

In addition, reportage by former Project Veritas operative Laura Loomer, suggests that the Campos family may have had a gag order placed on them not to talk about the mass-shooting case.

Now we can report that Jesus Campos is missing.

This has all the hallmarks of a cover-up. Not surprisingly, the mainstream media appear to be disinterested in this story now.

Kate Winslet’s shameful hypocrisy over Weinstein, Polanski and Woody Allen is why I don’t believe morally repugnant Hollywood will ever change

So forgive me if I’m not massively convinced by Tinsel Town’s panicky little bout of ethical house cleaning.

In fact, the whole on-going torrent of nauseating hypocrisy surrounding the Weinstein scandal makes me puke.

It’s epitomized by British actress Kate Winslet, who is suddenly very, VERY keen for all of us to know exactly how far she went to stand up to Weinstein.

Winslet, 42, told the LA Times she deliberately refused to thank him when she won an Oscar in 2009 for starring in his movie The Reader.

I remember being told, “Make you sure you thank Harvey if you win”,’ she recounted. ‘And I remember turning around and saying, ‘”No, I won’t. I won’t.” And it was nothing to do with not being grateful. If people aren’t well-behaved, why would I thank him?’

Lest we be in any doubt as to what happened, Ms Winslet emphasised:
‘That was deliberate. That was absolutely deliberate.’

I think we get the drift, Kate.

By Catherine Austin Fitts

This week Dr. Mark Skidmore, Morris Chair of State and Local Government and Policy at Michigan State University joins me on the Solari Report to discuss his recent report on what is now $21 trillion in undocumentable adjustments at the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) between 1998 and 2015. I had been using the number $18 trillion. However, Dr. Skidmore and his team have identified another $3 trillion which we have added to the documentation that he and his students have reviewed and provided. See DOD and HUD Missing Money: Supporting Documentation for $21 Trillion in Undocumentable Adjustments.

The IRGC aerospace commander reiterated that the IRGC was defending the Iranian nation’s interests and would not be deceived by the enemies, and said, "The IRGC would continue to boost its capabilities on a daily basis, because security is paramount in all conditions."

LEFTIST HARVARD PROF OUTLINES PLAN TO IMPEACH TRUMP, INSTALL HILLARY AS PRESIDENT

Lessig’s plan involves Trump being impeached for colluding with the Russian government during his election campaign, for which there is no evidence, and hasn’t been any evidence forthcoming for over a year now.
Once that happens in Lessig’s fantasy, he then suggests Vice President Mike Pence would resign.

In the final stage of the plan, Speaker Paul Ryan would be urged to “do the right thing,” and also resign, but not before installing Hillary Clinton as Vice President, thus leaving her to become the President.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yeah, she probably would.

Trump prevents US companies from coming to Iran

Iran’s oil minister stated that Iran does not prevent American companies from doing business in the country; rather it is Trump who creates the obstacles.
Iran’s Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh questioned Trump asking why he is concerned that Europeans take money from Iran and why he does not allow American companies to benefit from Iran.

Zanganeh made the remarks Tue. speaking to the reporters following his meeting with South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi, adding that Trump prevents American companies to enter Iran’s market, they are not blocked by Iran.

“We are prepared to negotiate with American corporations on developing petroleum and gas resources. Mr. Trump does not need to feel so concerned about this.” The Iranian official stated.

Spain Constitutional Court Declares Catalan Referendum Void

While it will not come as a surprise to anyone following ongoing events in Spain, moments ago the country's Constitutional Court said on Tuesday the referendum law passed by the Catalan government Sept. 6 to hold a vote on independence was unconstitutional and void, a spokesman said. The court had originally suspended the referendum law as it studied its legality, though the Catalan government went ahead with the ballot regardless.

They’re All In It Together – Weinstein Paid for Bill Clinton’s Legal Fees During His Sex Abuse Scandal

When Bill Clinton was at the height of the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, Hollywood was by his side, offering donations for his legal fees, and one significant donor was a man who is now going through his own sex scandal—Harvey Weinstein.

More than 20 women have publicly accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, sexual assault or rape. After the New York Times and the New Yorker published in-depth stories detailing the testimonies of women who have been abused by Weinstein—and in many cases, paid off with airtight non-disclosure agreements—the stories have continued to come to light.

'War is SCHEDULED' US General reveals future timeline of North Korean nuclear crisis

A US GENERAL - known for his calculated comments - shocked a television interviewer last night when he revealed that "war is scheduled" with North Korea.

General Barry McCaffrey’s comments come as fears mount that the US and North Korea are headed towards an imminent war.

The respected retired general claimed that the US would be at war with the communist regime "by next summer" during a TV interview with NBC last night.

Kim Jong-Un has continued to escalate his threatening rhetoric against the United States and its allies, amid the deepening crisis on the Korean peninsula.

Trump’s “Israel-First”, “Saudi-Second” And “America-Last” Iran Strategy

President Donald Trump’s move to decertify the Iranian nuclear Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), entered into a little over two years ago, was applauded by Israel, Saudi Arabia and a couple of Persian Gulf States, but by no one else. Quite the contrary, as the European and Asian co-signatories on the agreement, having failed to dissuade Trump, have clearly indicated that they will continue to abide by it. Also, the decision to kick the can down the road by giving Congress 60 days to increase pressure on Tehran in an attempt to include other issues beyond nuclear development like its ballistic missile program and labeling the country’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist group are likely to create confusion as Washington is unable to communicate directly with Iran. That uncertainty could possibly lead to a fraught-with-danger Iranian decision to withdraw completely from the agreement.

Spotlight follow-up: A nurse’s aide plays video games while a veteran dies at Bedford VA hospital

Bill Nutter was very sick. Not only had he just lost his second leg to diabetes, but he also suffered from a condition that could cause his heart to stop beating without warning.

But his daughter, Brigitte Darton, felt reassured because her mother had found a bed for the ailing Vietnam veteran and retired police detective at the Bedford VA Medical Center. He would be under the watchful eyes of the staff at a hospital ranked by the Veterans Administration as one of its best nationwide.

So Darton went on a long-planned family vacation in July 2016, only to get a shocking call from her mother the next day. “Your father passed away,” Carol Nutter said. “He didn’t wake up.”

A doctor eventually told Carol Nutter that a staff member on the night shift had failed to check on him hourly, as she should have.

MEDIA SILENT AS GOV’T USES VEGAS SHOOTING TO PUSH BILL ALLOWING WARRANTLESS SEARCHES

As the mainstream media provides relentless coverage of the Harvey Weinstein Hollywood sex scandal, there is one major piece of legislation it is ignoring, and if passed, it will have massive repercussions for all Americans.

More than 40 organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, have joined together to condemn the USA Liberty Act, a trendy name for a dangerous bill that reauthorizes and creates additional loopholes for Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, the coalition noted that one of the most obvious problems with the USA Liberty Act is that it fails to address concerns with the “backdoor search loophole,” which allows the government to “conduct warrantless searches for the information of individuals who are not targets of Section 702, including U.S. citizens and residents.”

COMPANIES DOUBLE-DIP BY PROVIDING TREATMENTS FOR DISEASES CAUSED BY THEIR PRODUCTS

Imagine being paid to be both part of the problem and part of the solution. It would be like having someone pay you to open a bottle of red wine and pour it all over their white carpet. Then they pay you to steam-clean it, too.
Seems silly, but that’s essentially what’s going on with many modern-day pharmaceutical companies. People are paying for products that are making them sick. Then, the same company that produced that product offers another product to treat the problems they caused. Pharmaceutical companies are double-dipping into consumers’ pockets by treating diseases brought about by their own products.

Johnson & Johnson

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only "cure" for this corporate "illness" is intense jail time for CEOs who sign off on these practices, coupled with a thorough revocation of whatever "golden parachute" deals they may have had regarding their quitting/termination from the companies which hired them.

If this happens enough, the practice of knowingly selling pharmaceutical products which harm people will stop.

Unfortunately, in lightof the fact that pharmaceutical companies are one of the biggest national campaign donors existing in this country, such a move may only happen...when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

German neo-Nazi convicted of Holocaust denial _ again

A well-known German neo-Nazi has been convicted again of Holocaust denial and sentenced to six months in prison. Ursula Haverbeck was sentenced at a Berlin district court Monday for saying at a January 2016 event in the German capital that the Holocaust didn't take place and that there were no gas chambers at the infamous Auschwitz death camp.
Note: Fact check. There were no homicidal gas chambers but there was a swimming pool, soccer field, orchestras, brothel, theaters.
