Kellogg spends $250,000 against GMO labeling in Oregon

Kellogg is a large contributor to a group against an initiative in Oregon to label genetically modified foods, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

The publication reported Tuesday the Battle Creek-based company has contributed $250,000 to the "No on 92 Coalition." The organization includes business groups such as the Oregon Manufacturers Association but also has backing from Monsanto Co., which has spent $1.5 million to defeat Measure 92, according to the Oregon Secretary of State's Office.
