Obama: I Kissed The Ebola Nurses

President Barack Obama boasted that he kissed nurses at the Atlanta hospital where Ebola patients were being treated.

Obama made clear that he is not afraid of Ebola, saying Wednesday, ”I shook hands with, hugged, and kissed, not the doctors, but a couple of the nurses at Emory because of the valiant work that they did,” Obama said. “In treating one of the patients, they followed the protocols, they knew what they were doing, and I felt perfectly safe doing so.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even with the recent screw-ups I cannot imagine the secret service allowing the President to kiss any nurse who had actually been near the area where the Ebola patients are being treated. This appears to be a repeat of Obama's swim in the Gulf of Mexico following the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon, only it was later revealed that the swim had actually taken place in a swimming pool near the edge of the gulf.

Even this story admits Obama kissed the nurses weeks ago before Ebola was even there! What is alarming about this story is that Obama is still looking at Ebola as a public relations issue. His goal is to keep everyone calm, keep them using the airlines, keep them going to the shopping malls, and make sure they show up at those voting booths next month. As a side note, the "nurse" appears to be wearing a patient wrist band and if they are following the standard color codes, this patient is considered at risk for falling, suggesting recovery from an injury to the leg or foot.
