BEX ALERT - What's more disturbing than Ebola? The outrageous commentary

Ebola isn't transmitted through the air. It is transmitted through direct contact by bodily fluids with an Ebola-infected person showing symptoms of the disease.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CNN's statement is the real outrageous comment. WHO says Ebola can travel through the air in aerosolized secretions. USAMRIID says Ebola can travel through the air in aerosolized secretions. The Canadian Health Service says Ebola can travel through the air in aerosolized secretions. The US Army training manual says Ebola can travel through the air in aerosolized secretions. The experience during the Reston Virginia outbreak says Ebola can travel through the air in aerosolized secretions. And it has been established that there is asymptomatic contagion in some humans, as well as dogs and pigs. Ebola can survive on contaminated surfaces for days. CDC is still pushing their claim that contagion is possible only through direct contact, yet their standards and protocols clearly came up short in Dallas. I understand that there is a desire to keep the public calm, to keep them flocking to the shopping malls and voting booths, but a certain degree of reality mixed with a touch of erring on the side of caution is justified here. The US response to Ebola is totally reactive right now. They are playing catch-up. And in a race like this there is no second place, only dead last!
