Top Israeli officer stresses Iran on first US visit

Israeli Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, on his first visit to Washington as Israel's top military officer, said Wednesday it was crucial to block what he called "Iranian aggression" in the Middle East.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What Ashkenzi is attempting to do, in this characterization of alleged "Iranian aggression" is to "soften up" both the executive and military portions of the US government for an Israeli-led attack; an attack which they can probably start well, but cannot end conclusively without US fire-power. This means that, once again, American kids will wind up fighting, getting maimed, and dying to "neutralize" yet another of Israel's existential enemies.

And just because it would be the most idiotic action that Washington and Tel Aviv could take at this juncture is no guarantee that the knuckleheads in both capitals won't try it.
