So we now have Andy “Hide the Funding” Pitman failing to be able to discuss facts and instead resorting to describing his own absurd version of reality in an ABC interview. He claims scientists for the IPCC receive no funding. Did $63,400 in funding somehow slip your mind Andy during the publicly broadcast interview with the ABC?
Read Andrew Bolt’s article and see Andy fail to mention his funding whilst accusing skeptics of being unemployed and "so well funded". Excuse me Andy, I think your slip is showing.
As the cult of the Earth-Centered Universe began to crumble in the face of Galileo's telescopic observations, all those scientists and clergy who had prospered by "studying" epicycles panicked. Rather than admit they had been wrong all those years, they accused the users of telescopes with consorting with the devil, and ultimately tortured Galileo into a public recantation of his studies.
Today we see the same thing happening again. The Global Warming Cult, rather than admit they were wrong (or used) is screaming that the "heretics" are consorting with Exxon. No doubt, some wish that the skeptics could be waterboarded until they public recanted.
But people like Andy Pitman only prove that the Global Warming cult really was a cult, still living with the mindset of the year 1600, the year Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake for suggesting that the stars were the same thing as the sun, only much further away and probably with other planets around them.
But this is the 21st century. And the old ways no longer apply.
