White House Threatens Military Response Against Iran-Backed Militias in Iraq

Iraq may once again, for the first time in nearly a decade, become a theater of US-Iran confrontation according to a White House statement published Tuesday evening.

“The United States will hold the regime in Tehran accountable for any attack that results in injury to our personnel or damage to United States government facilities,” press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a written statement posted to WhiteHouse.gov. “America will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of American lives.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ms. Sanders, forgive me please, but one quick question; has Muktada Al Sadr, a Shiite Muslim cleric now in leadership in the Iraqi Parliament, gotten the message?!?

Ms. Sanders, do you remember this guy?!? He was the one stating that if the US overstayed the SOFA agreement with Iraq by one second, that all American troops would be "fair game" for his Madhi Army to attack. He is still in touch with the military leaders of that paramilitary outfit, and could "bring the band back together" very quickly.

There are also conversations about the Iraqi government completely dropping the dollar in its trade with Iran; would that have anything to do with these threats, and re-destabilizing Iraq, in order to place a US-centric politician at the helm here, and get Al Sadr out ?!?

IF you are honest, the short answer would be, "HELL, yes!!"
