Erdogan Vows Revenge Against Kurds in Iraq, Says He’ll Kill At Least 800: Suggests Turkish forces will move against Sinjar and Qandil

Speaking at a conference of the ruling AK Party in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed revenge against the Kurdish PKK after a Wednesday attack that killed eight Turkish soldiers in southeastern Turkey.

Erdogan vowed to avenge the troops by “finishing” Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, saying Turkish forces will “go into their dens” in Sinjar and Qandil, Kurdish areas of Iraq where PKK-aligned fighters are accused of being.

Erdogan has been threatening to go into Iraq after the PKK for awhile, and suggested this may be coming soon with today’s comments. Iraq has repeatedly warned Turkey against incursions into their territory.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Turkey attacks PKK members inside Iraq, he is going to do it when the country, still reeling from the aftermaths of the US invasion and occupation, massive corruption in the Iraqi government, and a weakened Coalition which has thrust the Iranian cleric, Muktada Al Sad,r into the ascent in Iraqi politics.

He will also have to pick a time when American politicians are too occupied with their political campaigns for high office to really take note of what is happening internationally.

It is for these reasons I have shared above, that I think that such an attack might well happen some time before the mid-term election cycle here in the US (November 6th, 2018), as politicians will be too focused about what is going on with their respective campaigns to give a damn about the slaughter happening soon in Iraq.
