BREXIT LIVE: Theresa May hit by shock resignation on eve of crucial vote - PM ON BRINK

Earlier on Tuesday the Prime Minister delivered a defiant and upbeat Brexit speech today as the stoical Prime Minister warned the UK's exit from the EU will be in peril if MPs vote down her deal.

The Tory leader was defiant as she insisted she is working hard to persuade MPs to back her Brexit deal in tomorrow's crunch vote in a bid to avoid parliament's attempts to frustrate the UK's exit from the bloc.

In a desperate last-ditch speech on the eve of the Commons showdown, Mrs May warned that rejecting her deal would be the "height of recklessness" and the "bigger risk" could see the UK remain in the EU. She said: "The only ways to guarantee we do not leave without a deal are to abandon Brexit, betraying the vote of the British people, or to leave with a deal.

"The only deal on the table is the one MPs will vote on tomorrow night. "You can take no deal off the table by voting for that deal.
