During Russian air raids 78 Turkish supported military recruits are killed in the Syrian camp.

Russian air strikes killed at least 78 Turkish-backed recruits in a Syrian training camp and potentially injured 90 more, the UK-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory said Monday.

Russian missiles targeted an al-Sham Corps camp in the rebel-held Jabal al-Dawila region of Harem, northwest of Idlib, the agency said.

Thousands of Idlib residents took to the streets to mourn the recruits who completed their military training this week.

The al-Sham Corps is a Sunni Islamist rebel military unit supported by Turkey.
