The Environmental Protection Agency rejected on Thursday a request to cut the quota for the use of ethanol in cars, concluding, for the time being, that the goal of reducing the nation's reliance on oil trumps any effect on food prices from making fuel from corn.
So the EPA has decided that fuel is more important to the nation than food.
Well, I guess that's easy for them to say. With their lips firmly attached to the public teat it's not like they will miss any meals.
But for the average American in the private sector, trying to make a product and then finding someone to sell it to, things are getting very tight. This ethanol issue was manufactured literally from hot air, and has not only created food shortages but produced a less efficient fuel which Germany has already banned because it damages car engines!
