JUDICIAL WATCH LAWSUIT UNCOVERS MORE HILLARY CLINTON EMAILS WITHHELD FROM STATE DEPARTMENT

Judicial Watch today released new State Department emails (one batch of 103 pages, the second of 138 pages) that again appear to contradict statements by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that, “as far as she knew,” all of her government emails were turned over to the State Department and that she did not use her clintonemail.com system until March 18, 2009.

Judicial Watch recently released Clinton State Department emails dating from February 2009 that also call into question her statements about her emails.

The documents were obtained by Judicial Watch in response a court order in a May 5,2015, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department, after it failed to respond to a March 18 FOIA request (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00684)). The lawsuit seeks:

The Spirit Of Nelson Mandela In Palestine: Is His Real Legacy Being Upheld?

I had mixed feelings when I learned that Palestine has erected a statue of Nelson Mandela, the iconic South African anti-Apartheid leader. On the one hand, I was quite pleased that the unmistakable connection between the struggles of Palestinians and South Africans is cemented more than ever before. On the other hand, I dreaded that rich, corrupt Palestinians in Ramallah are utilizing the image of Mandela to acquire badly-needed political capital.

And Obama wants more... just MORE.

We managed to exclude this as it is absolutely unacceptable.”

Al Qaeda in Syria calls itself “Al Nusra.”

Not Just Surveillance — 3 Current Phenomena Exposing 1984 as an Instruction Manual for The State

Just as the government did in the lead up to The Scottish Referendum in 2014, it appears David Cameron is already escalating the so-called Project Fear. In a stunning statement of sheer fearmongery, clearly reflecting the establishment's panic at the rise of Brexit votes in the polls, The Telegraph reports UK PM David Cameron warned that Britain will pay a high cost if "we turn our back" on the EU, invoking Sir Winston Churchill and highlighting the battles of Trafalgar, Blenheim, Waterloo and the two World Wars as evidence that Britain cannot pretend to be "immune from the consequences."

Undeniable evidence from numerous studies proves that fluoride causes cancer

The California Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) recently released a document called Evidence on the Carcinogenicity of Fluoride and Its Salts that highlights the many health hazards caused by the consumption of fluoride. And the Fluoride Action Network (FAN) recently submitted a compilation of its own to OEHHA, which is soon to make a final decision concerning fluoride's toxicity, providing additional evidence that fluoride causes cancer.

FAN has been working for many years to raise awareness about the toxicity of fluoride, with the eventual goal of getting it removed from public water supplies. And its most recent efforts involving OEHHA could be the straw that breaks the camel's back, so to speak, as it has the potential to unleash the truth about fluoride on a massive scale, and spark a revolt against its use.

Why Obama Prioritizes Ousting Assad over Defeating Syria’s Jihadists

That report goes on to document, essentially, that US President Barack Obama is continuing his efforts to replace the the only secular, non-sectarian government in the Middle East, that of the Ba’athist Party, which has always been the only non-religious political party in the Arab world – everything else in Arabia has been fundamentalist-Sunni, to at least some extent. (Think of it: after 9/11, the US government aiding al-Qaeda! The US government is more against Russia than it’s against jihadists – though Russia never invaded the US, and communism is gone!)

Obama overthrew the Russia-friendly government of Ukraine and replaced it with an anti-Russian government; he also led the NATO bombing campaign that overthrew the Russia-friendly leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi; and he has since been trying to do the same thing in Syria, to Assad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Does Obama's determination to win Syria through arming jihadists at all costs include a direct military confrontation with Russia?!?

This seems to be where he is headed.

But why, in an election year?!?

There are two potential schools of thought here.

One is that internal White House polls suggest that should Trump be the Republican nominee, he will wipe the floor with Clinton, come the general election. Therefore, the current administration wants to give him the worst possible scenarios (both economic and geopolitical, as in starting a war with Russia) with which he will have to contend.

The second is that many very reasonable economic forecasters have been stating that the current economic situation is headed for a massive crash; Obama may feel that getting out ahead of the economic collapse curve by starting a war will distract Americans from the economic misery in which far too many find themselves, courtesy of "Obamanomics"

In either scenario, the American people lose; however, any real care for the American people has never been part of Obama's world view.

CNN Labels Gary Johnson The ‘GOP’s Trump Alternative’

It’s finally happened. The media has gotten something right! They’re no longer ignoring third party candidates and have started to give them the respect they deserve. Instead of assuming that voting for a third party is a spoiler they’re including candidates in their coverage as legitimate alternatives to Trump and Clinton. During his most recent appearance on CNN, Gary Johnson was labeled the ‘GOP’s Trump Alternative’. Although there might have been a question mark at the end it’s still putting the thought into the minds of voters that they do have another choice. Being legitimized in this way is a major step forward for the Libertarian Party.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CNN is hardly legitimizing the Libertarian Party, but using them to try to siphon votes away from Trump. Note that CNN did not say Gary was the alternative to Hillary, or even the whole establishment. CNN intentionally set the Libertarians against Trump.

Obama: TTIP Necessary So As to Protect Megabanks From Prosecution

On May 7th, Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, or German Economic News, headlined, “USA planen mit TTIP Frontal-Angriff auf Gerichte in Europa” or “U.S. Plans Frontal Attack on Europe’s Courts via TTIP,” and reported that, “America’s urgency to sign TTIP with Europe has solid reason: Megabanks must protect themselves from claims by European investors who allege that they were cheated during the debt crisis. … The U.S. Ambassador to Italy has now let the cat out of the bag on this — probably unintentionally.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the real reason President Obama has his knickers in a twist about the TTIP getting signed quickly is to protect megabanks from cheated customers!!

If you want to know by whom politicians are owned, look for the national and international corporations which are protected by legislation for which they are shilling.

For example, in the Homeland Security Act, pharmaceutical manufacturers were "held harmless and indemnified" for any harm their vaccines could cause; with Obama, it is the TTIP, which he has championed, which dissolves all national sovereignty; puts corporations in charge of all laws; and protects megabanks from lawsuits by cheated customers!!

I know that I have become disgusted and cynical about the political process in this country, but darn it, sometimes I just can't keep up!!

Baghdad on Military Lockdown over Fear of Protests

Security forces erected heavy concrete blast walls and strung barbed wire across two strategic bridges in the capital of Baghdad Friday as heavily armed troops deployed across the city. The security lockdown was meant to prevent a repeat of the events last Saturday, when thousands of demonstrators stormed the Green Zone, the walled-off seat of the Iraqi government.

On April 30, demonstrators denouncing the Iraqi government’s corruption, failure to provide basic services and inability to prevent terrorist bombings pulled down the massive blast walls surrounding the Green Zone, a high-security enclave created by the US occupation authorities after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. They occupied the parliament, breaking up furniture and sending lawmakers fleeing for their lives.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would politely like to remind both DC and Baghdad that these barriers will not hold back the people of Iraq indefinitely, and that US forces may well find themselves attempting to suppress what may become an overwhelming, popular revolution against the corrupt Iraqi government.

Unfortunately for that potential attempt at suppressing a popular revolution; the US military may well not be successful, if Al Sadr has the backing of Iran, the Mahdi Army, and the Iraqi people.

Israel lobbies U.S. to soften tone of Quartet report on settlements

Israel is working to soften the tone of an upcoming report by the United States and the rest of the members of the Middle East Quartet of negotiators – Russia, the United Nations and the European Union. Israel is mainly concerned that the United States will take a harsher position against the settlements.

The report, to be issued in the last week of May, is expected to harshly criticize Israel over construction of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to senior officials in Jerusalem. Among other things, Israel is working to prevent the report from mentioning future possible steps by the UN Security Council on the Israeli-Palestinian issue.

At a meeting in Munich in February, the members of the Quartet announced that they would release a report in a few months on the diplomatic freeze between Israel and the Palestinians. For the first time, the statement included the possibility of cooperation between the Quartet and the UN Security Council.

US Ambassador to Hungary: Overthrow Assad, Let in Refugees, and Fight Russia… or Else!

If anyone wants a short course on what’s wrong with US diplomacy look no further than US Ambassador to Hungary Coleen Bell’s speech Friday to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament. In typical diplo-speak there was plenty of flowery language about shared values, fish swimming together in the same water (?), sappy poetics like “together, out of that winter, we would force the spring,” and talk of together being “part of the world’s greatest military and political alliance.”

But make no mistake: Inside Ambassador Bell’s velvet glove is an iron fist, poised to strike should Washington’s annoyingly independent-minded Fidesz-led government step out of line on the big issues. And by “big” issues it should be understood that the US means the issues it considers in the interests of its own foreign policy, not those in Hungary’s interest.

Message to Hungary: do as we say or you will be sorry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I love it; this gal was a TV soap producer who "earned" her ambassadorship not by her education, previous employment, research, or knowledge about Hungary, but because she was a top Obama fundraiser!

If I were a US State Department official who had done the work, worked my way up the ranks, had a clue about international relations, and saw this woman get this job with other qualifications than to have been a top Obama fund raiser who could lie for her country with impunity, I would resign in abject disgust.

For the last couple of administrations, both Democratic and Republican, real qualifications for such a job mean absolutely nothing.

Israeli Defense Ministry Plans New Settlement in Northern West Bank

In recent years, the Israeli government has tended to resolve complaints about blatantly illegal settler outposts built on privately owned Palestinian land by retroactively legalizing the seizure of the land. This has been virtually obligatory for the far-right government, which depends heavily on settler votes for its narrow majority.

In the case of Amona, however, settler demands don’t seem to be working, with the Israeli High Court demanded the outpost be leveled by the end of 2012. You’ll notice, of course, that it is now 2016, but officials say it’ll probably have to happen by year’s end, and the court ruling makes retroactive legalization all but impossible.

Still, placating the settlers is job one, and despite expressions of outrage by them, the Israeli Defense Ministry is working on building a new, much larger settlement in the northern West Bank, which house the Amona residents plus a bunch of new settlers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Brisk annexation of Palestinian lands is one of the many aspects of Israel's "Final Solution" to their alleged "Palestinian Problem".

Price for Witnessing Against War

Fr. Daniel Berrigan’s funeral was being live-streamed Friday, as I started to write this, which seems only fitting. Dan’s witness and writing have been a constantly rechargeable battery for my moral compass.

Live-streaming (arranged by America magazine) was the next-best thing to being at the funeral in person. And it brought back memories of getting shoehorned into West Baltimore’s St. Peter Claver church in early December 2002 for an equally moving celebration of the life of Dan’s younger brother, Fr. Phil Berrigan.

Homilist Fr. Steve Kelly, S.J., who has spent more than a decade in this or that prison for nonviolent resistance to war began with some Berrigan-style Irish humor: “Let members of the FBI assigned here today validate that it is Daniel Berrigan’s funeral Mass of the Resurrection, so they can complete and perhaps close their files. ‘Death has no dominion!’ to quote Daniel’s friend William Stringfellow.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I briefly met Ray McGovern at the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, where Mike spoke in New York.

NETHERLANDS: BULK INTERCEPTION OF INNOCENT CITIZENS’ COMMUNICATIONS TO BE GRANTED BY MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR - DRAGNET SURVEILLANCE BILL LEAKED

At the end of April, an updated draft for the Dutch dragnet surveillance bill was leaked. It turns out that minister of the Interior Ronald Plasterk persists on granting the secret services the power to carry out bulk interception of innocent citizens’ communications. How did we get here? Ever since the law was announced in 2013, one of the main concerns of the debate has been how the dragnet will function and how extensive it will actually be. It led to a squabble between Plasterk and members of parliament. The latter weren’t keen on the idea of a dragnet, so Plasterk decided to rename it. Bulk interception became “purpose-oriented” interception. It sounded different, true, but we were afraid the meaning had been left unchanged.

Nusaybin is located in the Mardin province, where two Turkish servicemen were killed during a raid against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), outlawed in the country, earlier in the day.

White phosphorus munitions are used in smoke and incendiary munitions. White phosphorus is not specifically banned, but the 1983 UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons bans the use of incendiary weapons in indiscriminate attacks against civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More serial genocide against the Kurds in Turkey, I see.

When you exclude people from the political process, you create a recipe for creating radicalism and chaos; this is precisely what the Turkish government has done against their Kurdish minority.

Cuba Will Not Fall!

I am not sure who has invented those rumors that Cuba is now facing a mortal danger, that it has lost its bearings, and that it could collapse at any moment, after just one lethal visit by US President Barack Obama. The rumors and speculations are snowballing, and in some circles of the North American and European Left, they are already being confused with reality.

What is Cooking in the Bosnian Pot? CIA Director’s Visit to the Balkans

On April 21, 2016, under the cover of darkness, a U.S. military plane landed on Sarajevo international airport.[1] The mysterious guest was greeted by Osman Mehmedagi?, the chief of the Bosnian intelligence agency - the Intelligence-Security Agency.

The first reports in the Bosnian and other regional media were that the mysterious visitor came unannounced.[6] It later emerged that this was only a surprise for some, but hardly for all Bosnian politicians and high-level security officials. After all, this is a standard CIA operational procedure. It’s called ‘compartmentalization’: in the know are only those who need to know. The CIA director John O. Brennan's visit to Sarajevo was actually carefully planned and scheduled at least two months in advance at the time of Mehmedagi?'s first visit to the U.S. Brennan flew into Sarajevo directly from Riyadh where he accompanied the U.S. President Barack Obama and attended a meeting of the regional Arab security heads.

Protests erupt in Athens as parliament adopts new austerity measures

Greek MPs have voted in favor of new austerity measures, including pension cuts, tax hikes, and new taxes on internet and TV. Clashes with police broke out as thousands in Athens protested the moves that Greece’s creditors have been demanding.

Late on Sunday night, the Greek Parliament adopted controversial pension reforms set to reduce pension allowances and raise taxes, among other measures, in order to comply with EU bail-out requirements, as anti-austerity protests continued to rock Athens.

US DEFENSE GIANTS EXPECT $50BLN AIRCRAFT SALES TO ISRAEL, ARAB STATES

A new financial report projects that the largest US defense contractors are looking forward to a new bonanza of expensive aircraft sales to Gulf states and Israel, including an extra squadron of F-15 jets, the Defense News reported on Friday.

“The… finalization of a ten-year military funding plan for Israel [is] expected to be in the $40 billion to $50 billion range,” the newspaper stated, citing a financial report from Guggenheim Securities. “If the final figure ends up on the higher edge, Israel could seek to add two squadrons of F-15s.”

The finalization of Israel’s foreign military funding package could mean a surge in new spending on US aircraft, including more purchases of Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jets, according to Guggenheim Securities.

BFP Exclusive- What is Cooking in the Bosnian Pot? CIA Director’s Visit to the Balkans

There are some credible sources who claim that the U.S. intentionally turned the blind eye to these comings and goings of radical Islamists. These sources also directly implicate Michael Hayden, who later became the head of both the NSA (1999-2005) and the CIA (2006-2009), as the key person who let this happen under his watch.[4] At the time, in the early 1990s, Hayden was the director of U.S. European Command Intelligence Directorate which was operationally responsible for the Balkans. Hayden occasionally accompanied the chief U.S. negotiator Richard Holbrooke on his missions to Croatia and Bosnia. Holbrooke's dealings with the warring Bosnian factions can best be described as Machiavellian. His priority was to insure the permanent U.S. military presence in the Balkans at any price, no matter how this would impact the possibility of the long-term, sustainable peace and stability in the region.

Will the Democratic Establishment Continue to Defy Its Base's Growing Support for Palestinian Human Rights?

Hillary Clinton has staked her presidential candidacy on her “unbreakable bond” with right-wing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, recently telling AIPAC supporters she intends to crack down on campus campaigners for Palestinian human rights.

But now, a new poll of 2,008 U.S. adults indicates that those within the Democratic Party angling to prove their allegiance to Israel’s right-wing government are failing to keep up with shifts taking place within their own base, where young people and self-identified progressives are showing increasing solidarity with Palestinians.

Astronomy buffs hauled out their solar telescopes Monday morning to get a rare glimpse of Mercury’s transit of the sun.

Members of the Vancouver Centre chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada had three telescopes set up in Granville Square and invited anyone who happened by to have a look between 8 and 11:30 a.m.

Even when highly magnified, Mercury appeared as just a tiny round dot as it made its 7.5-hour trip across the surface of the sun.
