The FDA is caught hiding 22 fraudulent clinical trials

Professor Charles Seife of the Arthur L. Carter Institute of Journalism at New York University recently uncovered some disturbing evidence about the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This information came to light when he made a Freedom of Information request earlier this year. When Seife received his information, he learned that 22 clinical trials submitted to the FDA were falsified, and the results of these falsified trials were not revealed to the public.

Obama wins back the right to indefinitely detain under NDAA

The Obama administration has won the latest battle in their fight to indefinitely detain US citizens and foreigners suspected of being affiliated with terrorists under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012.

Congress granted the president the authority to arrest and hold individuals accused of terrorism without due process under the NDAA, but Mr. Obama said in an accompanying signing statement that he will not abuse these privileges to keep American citizens imprisoned indefinitely. These assurances, however, were not enough to keep a group of journalists and human rights activists from filing a federal lawsuit last year, which contested the constitutionality of Section 1021, the particular provision that provides for such broad power.

Tsarnaev lawyers urge appeals court to move trial from Boston

In a federal appeals court Thursday, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s defense team argued that what the federal district court has been doing for five and a half weeks – interviewing prospective jurors – is essentially meaningless. The saturation of media coverage and, perhaps even more important, the personal connection Massachusetts residents feel to the Boston Marathon bombing, add up to a “presumption of prejudice” so strong, argued public defender Judith Mizner, that jurors cannot predict how they will react once evidence is presented during trial.

Thousands visit Lake Superior ice caves; photos are awe-inspiring

Visitors showed up by the thousands over the weekend to see ice caves nestled into the shoreline of northern Wisconsin.

The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore ice caves are located several miles outside of Bayfield, Wis., on a 12-mile stretch along the coast. In order to see the caves, Lake Superior has to freeze enough for spectators to walk over ice to the caves.

The ice was thick enough for the caves to open on Saturday, attracting nearly 12,000 people over the weekend, according to Julie Van Stappen, Chief of Planning & Resource Management at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

Park officials had checked ice conditions Wednesday to make sure the ice was almost a foot thick to handle the foot traffic.

F-35B 'Incapable' Of Carrying Small Diameter Bombs

The Pentagon's most expensive fighter F-35B is "incapable" of carrying the military's highly advanced bombs because of a design flaw, the joint program office confirmed this week.

Yanukovych's ally Chechetov commits suicide[?] under house arrest

Mykhailo Chechetov, former deputy head of the Party of Regions parliament faction in the time of the president Viktor Yanukovych, killed himself jumping out of the window of his apartment at 17 floor in Kyiv on the night of Feb. 27.

Chechetov was under home arrest and wore an electronic bracelet as he was charged with violating his authority during the vote for the so-called “dictator laws" passed on Jan. 16, 2014 that were widely limiting civil freedoms.

Chechetov's wife, who was present in the apartment, called the police. The police reports say she woke up around 1 a.m. and went looking for her husband in the apartment. She found a suicide note in the study.

Lawmaker Anton Herashchenko, adviser at the Interior Ministry, cited the suicide note on his Facebook page. According to him, the note said, "I have no moral strength to live anymore. I'm leaving. I think it will be better for everyone. Thank you all for support."

Four Reasons Young Americans Should Burn Their Student Loan Papers

Hell No, We Won’t Go –1967
No Way, We Won’t Pay –2015

Fifty years ago students burned their draft cards to protest an immoral war against the people of Vietnam. Today it’s a different kind of war, immoral in another way, waged against young Americans of approximately the same age, and threatening them in a manner that endangers not their lives but their livelihoods.

There are at least four good reasons why America’s young adults – and their parents – should take up the fight against financial firms who are holding high-interest student loans that total more than the nation’s credit card debt, and more than the total income of the poorer half of America.

City of Cleveland: 12-year-old Tamir Rice caused his own death by failing to ‘avoid injury’

According to court documents obtained by BuzzFeed’s Stephanie McNeal, the city of Cleveland, Ohio is claiming that 12-year-old Tamir Rice’s death — as well as the pain and suffering caused to his family by it — was his own fault.

Tamir Rice was shot and killed while playing with a replica gun in a park last November. Rice had been playing with the replica in the park when rookie Officer Timothy Loehmann and his partner pulled up in a police cruiser and, within two seconds, shot him dead.

The incident was captured on video, but neither Officer Loehmann nor his partner knew that when they gave investigators their initial statements, in which they claimed that Rice was with a group of young boys and was waving the gun around with the intention of shooting someone.

US spy chief predicts spring attack on Ukraine port

Russia wants to secure a land corridor in eastern Ukraine that could include Mariupol but pro-Moscow rebels may wait until the spring to attack the strategic port city, the US spy chief said Thursday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aim was not to seize all of Ukraine but to carve out territory linking up with the Crimean peninsula, which was annexed by Moscow last year after the fall of a pro-Moscow leader in Kiev, James Clapper told lawmakers.

“It is not our assessment that he is bent on capturing or conquering all of Ukraine,” Clapper told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to James Clapper: is it humanly possible for you, please sir, not to lie to the Senate when you are testifying in front of them?!?

Russia did not "annex" Crimea, no matter how many times you repeat this lie. After the fall of the duly elected government of Yanukovych, courtesy of a US/EU/ECP-sponsored putsch, the Crimeans, who had been traditionally part of Russia until their annexation to Ukraine by Kruschev in the 50s, voted to petition Russia to become a part of the Russian Federation.

As you know, there were international observers, and this was characterized as a free and fair election.

Russia did absolutely nothing wrong here. Crimea did absolutely nothing wrong here, in voting to join the Russian Federation.

Russia did not annex any territory, Mr. Clapper, period, end of discussion.

But you continue to advance the lie because it is politically expedient, to further demonize both Russia and Putin, leading up, potentially, to a shooting war against Russia.

Such demonization is very dangerous, because at this moment, the US military doesn't have the troop strength, the manufacturing, or the money to guarantee a successful outcome to a conventional war against Russia.

And you, sir, of all people have to know this.

Netanyahu’s speech and the American Jewish condition

Netanyahu is coming here to tell the Congress to torpedo the efforts of the U.S. president to cut a deal with Iran. He does so because he seems to believe that Iran poses an existential threat to Israel. His actual and implicit messaging links the Iranians to the Holocaust and to Hitler. Whether or not he is working the matter to get another term, or to maintain Israel’s regional hegemony, there can be little question that many Jews share this belief. They say that Iran is determined to destroy Israel and so the charge “Never again” means, we must destroy Iran’s nuclear capability by any means and isolate the society generally. Just as Iraq which attacked Israel was also linked to Hitler by various Israel supporters 12 years ago.

That analogy proved absurd, and the Iranian/Holocaust analogy is also illogical.

The Next Empire

Throughout history, political, financial, and military leaders have sought to create empires. Westerners often think of ancient Rome as the first empire. Later, other empires formed for a time. Spain became an empire, courtesy of its Armada, its conquest of the New World, and the gold and silver extracted from the West. Great Britain owned the 19th century but lost its empire due largely to costly wars. The US took over in the 20th century and, like Rome, rose as a republic, with minimal central control, but is now crumbling under its own governmental weight.

Invariably, the last people to understand the collapse of an empire are those who live within it.

February cold in Montreal breaks 115-year-old record

If over the course of the past month, you’ve remarked that February seemed to be “SO MUCH COLDER” this year than in years past, you now have science backing you up.

Environment Canada has confirmed this February was the coldest February in more than 100 years. The average temperature in Montreal last month was -15C. The previous record was set in 1979, when the average temps were a balmy -14.5C.

It's probably unlikely, but March will get a running start this week.

That's because the average forecast temperature between today and Saturday is 22.2 degrees.

What Christians Don’t Know About Israel

In the late 1970s, when I first went to Jerusalem, I was unaware that editors could and would classify "news" depending on who was doing what to whom. On my initial visit to Israel-Palestine, I had interviewed dozens of young Palestinian men. About one in four related stories of torture.

Israeli police had come in the night, dragged them from their beds and placed hoods over their heads. Then in jails the Israelis had kept them in isolation, besieged them with loud, incessant noises, hung them upside down and had sadistically mutilated their genitals. I had not read such stories in the U.S. media. Wasn't it news? Obviously, I naively thought, U.S. editors simply didn't know it was happening.

We call upon other universities to show their solidarity by joining the academic boycott.”

The referendum was called for by the Students’ Union, and was conducted in an open, fair and transparent environment.

eFax Spam Email Malware Alert

A new wave of eFax spam was detected and immediately blocked yesterday by Spamalyzer and our threat analysts. One of the links in the message goes to a Dropbox file that likely contains a virus or other malware. Today we're seeing the same campaign, but in the form of fake payment notices from American Express and Citibank.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The latest version sends a word document that cannot be read until you enable macros. If you enable macros, the malware payload delivers. Funny how the NSA can't find these cyber-criminals, isn't it?

The Meaning of Bibi

The entire spectrum of Jewish politicians from Left to Right expends vast amounts of energy attempting to conceal problematic Jewish cultural and ideological symptoms. Benjamin Netanyahu is different; he is the total manifestation of all such symptoms. He brings to light everything despicable in Israel and in Jewish politics. He is the epitome of everything we reject in Jewish ID politics, Zionism as well as ‘anti’. Bibi publicly imposes himself on America, its people, the American Congress and the Obama administration. Bibi blatantly interferes in American strategic and national security interests. And he gets away with it.

Binyamin Netanyahu, AIPAC’s Putative American President, Plans to Threaten the US Congress

Binyamin Netanyahu – AIPAC’s putative US President – will, next Tuesday, threaten both Houses of Congress that he is prepared to deploy his 400 nuclear warheads to ensure Israeli dominance of the Middle East unless Washington and the world accede to his demands against Iran (and Gaza and Lebanon and Turkey). A status quo that recalls the demands of the German National Socialists, in 1936, prior to their occupation and domination of Europe that instigated World War 2.

MIT States That Half of All Children May be Autistic by 2025 due to Monsanto

A senior scientist at MIT has declared that we are facing an epidemic of autism that may result in one half of all children being affected by autism in ten years.

Dr. Stephanie Seneff, who made these remarks during a panel presentation in Groton, MA last week, specifically cites the Monsanto herbicide, Roundup, as the culprit for the escalating incidence of autism and other neurological disorders. Roundup, which was introduced in the 1970’s, contains the chemical glyphosate, which is the focal point for Seneff’s concerns. Roundup was originally restricted to use on weeds, as glyphosate kills plants. However, Roundup is now in regular use with crops. With the coming of GMO’s, plants such as soy and corn were bioengineered to tolerate glyphosate, and its use dramatically increased. From 2001 to 2007, glyphosate use doubled, reaching 180 to 185 million pounds in the U.S. alone in 2007.

Nemtsov & The End Of The British Empire

The assassination of Russian opposition leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov yesterday as he crossed a bridge near the Kremlin will surely be well-utilized by Western lapdog media in their ongoing effort to slander Vladimir Putin and Russia.

But any thinking person will know that this professional killing was not carried out by Putin, who has vowed a thorough investigation of the incident. It was likely another in a series of desperate moves by the British MI6, who work for the Crown and the Rothschild-led City of London bankers.

Scott Walker Loses His Mind: What’s Behind His Delusional ISIS-Unions Comparison

There are two entirely different ways to be horrified by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker comparing his battle with state unions to the fight against ISIS. If you haven’t heard, when he was asked how he’d combat the so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq at the Conservative Political Action conference Thursday, he replied: “If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world.”

Kerry calls for ‘real’ probe into killing of Jewish Kremlin critic

The gunning down of Jewish opposition figure Nemtsov, a sharp critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has triggered international outcry and calls for an independent investigation into the killing.

Kerry told ABC television before leaving for Geneva that there needed to be a “thorough, transparent, real investigation not just of who actually fired the shots, but who, if anyone may have ordered, or instructed this.”

The US was “enormously saddened to hear of his murder and we hope the authorities will join the world in producing the credible, transparent investigation necessary.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The strongest reason to doubt that Putin had anything to do with the assassination of Nemtsov is the manner in which it was done, a shooting in public near the Kremlin; circumstances clearly intended to generate the maximum publicity.

Here in the United States the government gets rid of its enemies in small plane crashes, single car accidents, or by means of staged suicides. Putin, being former KGB, is just as knowledgeable about such sophisticated means of covering a murderer's tracks. Had Putin wanted Nemtsov dead, we would have heard that Nemtosov had suddenly become very depressed over his failing political fortunes, and decided to kill himself.

Thus, Nemtsov's assassination, as public as it was, was done by others to frame on Putin, to destabilize Russia, not unlike the Kiev snipers who fired on both sides, then framed Yanukovich for it, to drive him from his elected office a year ago.

Report: Obama Threatened to Shoot Down IAF Iran Strike

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Russian Opposition: Putin Did NOT Assassinate Opposition Leader

U.S. media is quick to blame Putin for the assassination of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov.

Ron Paul: "Reality Is Now Setting In For America... It Was All Based On Lies & Ignorance"

If Americans were honest with themselves they would
acknowledge that the Republic is no more. We now live in a police state.
If we do not recognize and resist this development, freedom and
prosperity for all Americans will continue to deteriorate. All liberties
in America today are under siege.
It didn’t happen overnight. It took many years of
neglect for our liberties to be given away so casually for a promise of
security from the politicians. The tragic part is that the more security
was promised — physical and economic — the less liberty was protected.
With cradle-to-grave welfare protecting all citizens from any
mistakes and a perpetual global war on terrorism, which a majority of
Americans were convinced was absolutely necessary for our survival, our
security and prosperity has been sacrificed.
It was all based on lies and ignorance. Many came to believe that their best interests were served by giving up a little freedom now and then to gain a better life.

Missouri boy put into foster care after parents sought second opinion on medical diagnosis

The parents had begun speaking with a medical malpractice attorney, who started looking into Jaxon’s medical records.

It was right after this that the little boy began fainting. Tiffany said that he just passed out just a few feet in front of her while he was riding on an electric scooter, an accident that landed him in the hospital with a cut above his eye. Once he fainted while eating birthday cake at a party. While Jaxon’s parents were puzzled about the fainting spells, the doctors at the Beacon Clinic decided that they were psychosomatic. They also told them that all of Jaxon’s problems were in his head.

When the Adams said they wanted to get a second opinion, they were told that they were not allowed to do so. When they suggested switching pediatricians, again the Adams were told that they could not.
