Biden Son and Brother Near Epicenter of Two Ponzi Schemes

As I have said many times, the bad guys always try to get near centers of power. Joe Biden was a very powerful Senator when Stanford and Rusciano sought to do business with his son and brother.

It appears that the most likely explanation for the Bidens' possible involvement with two bad guys is that they are clueless about finance, probably set the business up, in part, to trade off of the Senator's power, and never had a clue as to the types of bad guys that would circle around to give the appearance of being close to such power.

The False "Profits" of Christian Zionism

But these false prophets are making big profits sowing fear and confusion, whether it's Israel making a gift of a customized Lear Jet to Jerry Falwell or John Hagee paying himself over a million dollars a year in TAX FREE money while having several palaces to live in, like the $2.1 million 7,969-acre ranch outside Brackettville, Texas , with five lodges, including a "main lodge" and a gun locker. It also includes a manager's house, a smokehouse, a skeet range and three barns or the six-bedroom, 5,275-square-foot house in one of San Antonio's most exclusive gated communities, The Dominion. The house, similar in architectural style to the building at Cornerstone Church - classical Greek revival and white with tall pillars reaching from the ground to the roof - is appraised at $688,900.

Torture; the other Red Meat.

There’s a kind of irony in the fact that the former, talk out of this particular hole in their body and the substance of their words is the very substance known to proceed out of that very same hole. They might well know that 9/11 was an Inside Job but they don’t want to know because the obvious conclusion of ‘who’ was behind the 9/11 attacks threatens the pursuit of their appetites and threatens their position among the other chimps in the zoo, as it threatens their ability to spoon feed their children with preposterous lies in the interest of protecting them from dangers that only the truth could deliver them from.

Calamity Jane Harman Shoots Herself in the Foot

The exposure of the Jane Harman-AIPAC axis of treason has exploded the illusion of the Israel Lobby’s invulnerability. Here they thought they had the AIPAC espionage trial swept safely under the rug, or nearly so, what with the prosecution of two former top Lobby officials seemingly stalled indefinitely, and the Justice Department "reviewing" whether to pursue the case. Not only that, but accused Israeli spy Steve Rosen is riding high, having recently been instrumental in the downfall of Obama administration appointee Charles Freeman.

Cheney's Twisted World

It’s wise, I believe, to resuscitate al-Libi’s story right now for two particular reasons. The first is because, when he was handed over to US forces by the Pakistanis, he became the first high-profile captive to be fought over in a tug-of-war between the FBI, which wanted to play by the rules, and the CIA -- backed up by the most hawkish figures in the White House and the Pentagon -- who didn’t.

TOON FOR WEDNESDAY ~~ HOW TO DO IT

On Saturday, Australia’s most well-known cartoonist and social commentator Michael Leunig, gave his readers a disturbing account of how the time-honoured traits of decency and caring for others in what we call our civilised world, are fast giving way to the callous “me first” syndrome with dire consequences for the human condition that few realise will inevitably affect even them. He recounts a shocking incident where a women is accosted by a group of men in a suburban street and is saved by a 72-year-old man who is badly beaten, but lives with honour intact. He then reminds us about the incomprehensible atrocities taking place in Gaza against an imprisoned and defenceless people while most of the world turns away without any sense of outrage or compassion.

MOHAMMED OMER REPORTS ON NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN GAZA

Mohammed Al-Sheikh Yousef could save his eyesight if only he could cross the border out of Gaza. He was denied a permit by Israel; he got one from Egypt, but not for someone to accompany him. And he can’t go on his own because he cannot see very well.

“If Mohammed does not get out of Gaza for medical treatment within the next 14 days, he may totally lose his eyesight and be blind for life,” Dr. Mawia Hasaneen, head of the ambulance and emergency service for Gaza hospitals told IPS in a telephone interview.
“In the past few weeks we have received 150 appeals from people in Gaza who are in need of urgent medical care,” says Ran Yaron from Physicians for Human Rights, a human rights group in Israel that campaigns on behalf of Palestinian patients to obtain exit permits for healthcare.

FLASHBACK - President Bush Fails To Gain International Criminal Immunity For War Crimes With Which He Has Not Been Charged

Even though no War Crimes charges have been brought against President Bush by the International Criminal Court, the Bush Administration has been lobbying hard for another year of War Crimes immunity.

The United Nations refused.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Remember back in 2002 and 2003 when President Bush was arm-twisting other nations to grant US forces and officials immunity from war crimes prosecutions? And the more astute observers (moi?) were pointing out that nobody would spend that much political capitol on immunity unless one was planning or already committing war crimes? And the Bush defenders kept insisting that the immunity was to prevent "harassment" of our government officials?

Well, now we know that at the same time Bush was lobbying for immunity for war crimes, torture was taking Place, WHICH PROVES THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION KNEW THEY WERE COMMITTING WAR CRIMES AT THE TIME!

Democrats Urge Torture Probe by Special Counsel

US Attorney General Eric Holder testifies before Congress while protesters hold signs urging him to prosecute members of the Bush administration for authorizing torture.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As far as I am concerned the entire government is delegitimized by the torture scandal, and while I predict that the Special Counsel will accomplish no more than did Ken Starr or Laurence Walsh, I also predict there will be a renewed fight over the Coleman/Frankin Senate seat in order to prevent the Democrats from gaining that filibuster-proof Senate. In fact, Al, if you are reading this, stay out of small airplanes!

Personally I thin we ought to ship the entire Bush administration to the Hague right now.

Telescope snaps most distant object

Astronomers tracking a mysterious blast of energy called a gamma ray burst said on Tuesday they had snapped a photograph of the most distant object in the universe -- a smudge 13 billion light-years away.

Hawaii's Gemini Observatory caught the image earlier this month after a satellite first detected the burst.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are seeing that object 13 billion light-years distant not as it is today and where it is today but as it was and where it was, 13 billion years ago, 13 billion light-years distant from earth.

In other words, for this galaxy to lie 13 billion light-years away from Earth only 750 million years after the Big Bang, it would have had to travel 13 billion light years in just 750 million years' time. That requires the galaxy in question to travel more than 17 times faster than the speed of light, a speed limit which according to the Big Bang supporters was in effect from the moment the universe was 3 seconds old.

The Great Myths, Evasions, and Lies of the 21st Century

We live in an age in which deceit is more pervasive than anything Jonathan Swift ever experienced. Today, many truths are totally ignored, lies and myths are generated by media, and our politicians are the main purveyors of the propaganda and the pretension that poisons our national debate. We live in an age of unprecedented myths, hypocrisies, evasions, and lies, and that duplicity is seldom challenged. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, consider the following specifics.

Craigslist yanks article "To the Guy Who Mugged Me Downtown (Downtown, Savannah) "

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get this straight. Craigslist had no problem with a murderer using their web page to track potential victims from among the sex workers, but when someone posts an article about using a firearm to thwart a mugging, they pull it????????

Text of the yanked article follows.

I was the white guy with the black Burberry jacket that you demanded I hand over shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I hope you somehow come across this message. I'd like to apologize. I didn't expect you to crap your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.

Truth is, I was wearing the jacket for a reason that evening, and it wasn't that cold outside. You see, my girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber 1911 .45 ACP pistol for Christmas, and we had just picked up a shoulder holster for it that evening. Beautiful pistol, eh? It's a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head, isn't it? I know it probably wasn't a great deal of fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with that brown sludge flopping about in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse since you also ended up leaving your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. I couldn't have you calling up any of your buddies to come help you try to mug us again. I took the liberty of calling your mother, or "Momma" as you had her listed in your cell, and explaining to her your situation. I also bought myself some gas on your card. I gave your shoes to one of the homeless guys over by Vinnie Van Go Go's, along with all of the cash in your wallet, then I threw the wallet itself in a dumpster. I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell. They'll be on your bill in case you'd like to know which ones. Alltel recently shut down the line, and I've only had the phone for a little over a day now, so I don't know what's going on with that. I hope they haven't permanently cut off your service. I was about to make some threatening phone calls to the DA's office with it Oh well. So, about your pants. I know that I was a little rough on you when you did this whole attempted mugging thing, so I'd like to make it up to you. I'm sure you've already washed your pants, so I'd like to help you out. I'd like to reimburse you for the detergent you used on the pants. What brand did you use, and was it liquid or powder? I'd also like to apologize for not killing you and instead making you walk back home humiliated. I'm hoping that you'll reconsider your choice of path in life. Next time you might not be so lucky. If you read this message, email me and we'll do lunch and laundry.

Barack Obama: “America’s First Jewish President”

Obama has recently suggested that Washington would nuke Iran to protect Israel – which has never yet signed a treaty with the US – to which the Bush Administration replied contemptuously that it would be very hard to convince American parents in Kansas that their sons should risk nuclear incineration for the sake of a small country in the Middle East. Clearly Obama is a greater war monger on issues involving Israel then even Bush: It comes with being a “Jewish President”

The dubious Zelikow shortcuts

Two issues trouble me relating to Philip Zelikow’s New York Times op-ed, The Dubious C.I.A. Shortcut. One, he seems to be flip-flopping on the legality and efficacy of torture to gain reliable intelligence, in this case from the C.I.A and Pentagon. Second, even as Zelikow headed the 9/11 Commission and wrote the final draft of its findings in April 2004, his commission report was based on secondhand C.I.A. and Pentagon “torture” reports, not face to face, independent interviews.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the official version of what happened on 9-11 was based on confessions extracted under torture.

Is that the entire case against Khalid Sheik Mohammed? Tortured confessions?

AIPAC pushing for new Iran sanctions bill?

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which is scheduled to hold its annual conference next week, said the introduction of a new bill against Iran's gasoline trade on Tuesday is no coincidence.

"It's no coincidence that the bills, which are strongly backed by AIPAC, are "dropping" into Congress for consideration this week, having 6,000 conference-goers press for their passage next Tuesday is bound to give them a turbo boost," the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) said on Monday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The fact that we will feel the effects of an Iranian gasoline boycott at the pump is of no concern, apparently.

Flying Pigs, Tamiflu and Factory Farms

If we are to believe what our trusted international media report, the world is on the brink of a global pandemic outbreak of a new deadly strain of flu, H1N1 as it has been labelled, or more popularly, Swine Flu. As the story goes, the outbreak of the deadly flu was first discovered in Mexico. According to press reports, after several days, headlines reported as many as perhaps 150 deaths in Mexico were believed caused by this virulent people-killing pig virus that has spread to humans and now is allegedly being further spread from human to human. Cases were being reported hourly from Canada to Spain and beyond. The only thing wrong with this story is that it is largely based on lies, hype and coverup of possible real causes of Mexican deaths.

Only 7 swine flu deaths, not 152, says WHO

A member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has dismissed claims that more than 150 people have died from swine flu, saying it has officially recorded only seven deaths around the world.

“Unfortunately that [150-plus deaths] is incorrect information and it does happen, but that’s not information that’s come from the World Health Organisation,” Ms Allan told ABC Radio today.

Why the US still hates Cuba

At the centre of the Summit of the Americas held in Trinidad and Tobago over April 17-19, was the only country from the hemisphere not present — Cuba.

Speaking at the opening session, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega noted that while a large majority of the heads of states of the Americas were present, “there are two major absentees”.

The first was “Cuba, whose crime has been to fight for its independence, for the sovereignty of the peoples; lending solidarity, without conditions, to our peoples, and for that it is being sanctioned, for that it is being punished, for that it is being excluded.”

The second was the nation of Puerto Rico, which continues to be an official colony of the United States — denied independence.

Easy - redefine the verb “to waterboard” as meaning only “long pours of water.” The good news is that at least we’re moving away from trying to restrict the meaning of the word “torture” to trying to restrict the meaning of the word “waterboard.”

Dick Cheney, Martyr?

Cheney has a problem. The ground of defense is not that ‘it got results.’ The issue is not whether torture is capable of producing results, or even the quality of those results. A million monkeys at a million waterboards will eventually produce a confessional masterpiece. Under existential threat, the argument about torture poses the question of whether to start, not when to finish. And the justification of the decision to start has been that this decision had been kept secret. For Cheney to defend his record, he must not only, like a Soloflex salesman, harp on ‘results’; he must defend the secrecy of the methods that obtained them. Secrecy was essential to results.

Avoid Flu Shots, Take Vitamin D Instead

The activated form of vitamin D (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D) attaches to receptors on genes that control their expression, which turn protein production on or off. Vitamin D regulates the expression of more than 1,000 genes throughout the body. They include ones in macrophages, cells in the immune system that, among other things, attack and destroy viruses. Vitamin D switches on genes in macrophages that make antimicrobial peptides, antibiotics the body produces. Like antibiotics, these peptides attack and destroy bacteria; but unlike antibiotics, they also attack and destroy viruses.

Vitamin D also expresses genes that stop macrophages from overreacting to an infection and releasing too many inflammatory agents – cytokines – that can damage infected tissue.

Humour / Sarcasm used as weapons against the Gov't

Newspapers give thumbs down to Government claims on ID cards
23 Apr 2009
National newspapers have portrayed Government policy on ID cards as illiberal, unsafe and being introduced by stealth according to a study published today.
The four-month snapshot of 280 newspaper articles and letters was carried out by Elisa Pieri, a researcher at The University of Manchester.
The study examined the coverage in four broadsheets and three tabloids, and all their Sunday editions.
It found that newspapers used a range of arguments to condemn the policy on ID cards. Humour and sarcasm were among the strategies used to undermine the arguments made by the Government.

THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO The text that serves as the beginning of the communist movement.

start boning up ! (*?) A spectre is haunting Europe -- the spectre of communism. All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies.

Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as communistic by its opponents in power? Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of communism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?

Firms Look to Prevent Swine Flu Pandemic, Turn a Profit

Face-masks and hand-sanitizer are flying off the shelves and pharmaceutical stocks are skyrocketing on fears that a swine flu outbreak could go global.

Even as much of the economy took a blow from news of the potential epidemic, some companies with the tools to tackle a wide outbreak have already seen a bump in their share prices and could be poised to profit if the disease continues its deadly spread around the world.

Muddying the waters on torture

those that endorse torture (or those now working overtime at covering their asses) can muddy the water with claims that torture has provided valuable, life saving intelligence will mean a large group of folks who are willing to endorse its use. Court allows landmark torture renditions case to proceed

A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday to reinstate an ACLU lawsuit against a Boeing subsidiary that allegedly helped the CIA transport terror war prisoners to so-called black sites where they were tortured. The Obama administration had argued the case’s very existence would endanger national security and pressed the court to dispose of it.

“Today’s ruling demolishes once and for all the legal fiction, advanced by the Bush administration and continued by the Obama administration, that facts known throughout the world could be deemed ’secrets’ in a court of law,” said Ben Wizner, staff attorney with the ACLU National Security Project, in a media advisory.

Demolitions build Jerusalem tension

Five young children cling to their mother. All of them are crying. This morning, without warning, Israeli bulldozers came to destroy their home in Jabal Mukabar area of East Jerusalem.

Speaking amongst the mangled remains of her house, Samia Ihdaidoon says she was still sleeping when Israel's police arrived.

"They came pounding on the doors and climbed in through the bedroom window as if it was a raid. They said I had five minutes to put on my scarf and collect our valuables, then I had to get out. It's a shock for the children. Look at their faces. I'm in despair."

Israel says the Ihdaidoon's house was demolished because it was built illegally.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel's claim is that the buildings in East Jerusalem do not have proper building permits, but that is true mostly because those buildings pre-date the existence of Israel itself!

Anyone seen a building permit for that Western Wall?

“Let me be clear: The United States government has no interest in running GM,” President Obama said just three weeks ago. He continued: “We have no intention of running GM.”

But what about Chrysler?

In a letter to employees released late last night, Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli stated that, under the evolving terms of the company’s deal with the government, “a board of directors for Chrysler will be appointed by the U.S. government and Fiat.” This board, he explained, will appoint its chairman and “select a CEO” and other executive officers of the company.

In other words, all of Chrysler’s decisionmakers will be government appointees.

On Sunday this week police investigation was started against activists of `New Profile`, on charges of incitement to avoid military service. Starting an investigation against a movement whose activity is legal and legitimate, is aimed at stifling voices which threaten the militarist hegemony and militarist culture in the Israeli society.

This severe violation of the Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of Association threatens all of us. Today New Profile is the target - tomorrow, all who dare to think independently, express themselves freely, and promote justice and equality.

Pandemic flu preparedness and the China connection

We received a special visit from A. True Ott, PhD, ND on July 18. "I have a very important scoop for you," he said. Then he described in detail a compelling scenario that left us with a curious dilemma: Do we report our belief that what Dr. True Ott said was true—that something monstrous associated with the 2008 Olympics in Beijing is being planned—or wait until we are absolutely certain. But responsibility outweighs uncertainty because time, as you will see, is of the essence: If we wait until we are certain, it will be too late.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office is investigating two recent deaths that officials say could be related to the recent global swine flu outbreak. However, no tests have come back positive for the swine flu, and medical examiners have not officially determined what caused the deaths.

If so, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would be notified, Harvey said.]

Now, here we are again. Eighty people have got a nasty flu and died in Mexico. May they rest in peace. But 200,000 of us die every day in the world, so the Mexican victims aren't exactly objects of rational fear. But the sentence that has been picked up and spun round the world says: "The World Health Organisation has warned that the [swine flu] virus has the potential to become a pandemic".

It sounds to us in the laity a bit like the Terror Level rating the Government puts out so that it can say, "We did warn you," if perchance a bombing takes place.

The Müller Washington Journals 1948-1951

At the beginning of December, 1948, a German national arrived in Washington, D.C. to take up an important position with the newly-formed CIA. He was a specialist on almost every aspect of Soviet intelligence and had actively fought them, both in his native Bavaria where he was head of the political police in Munich and later in Berlin as head of Amt IV of the State Security Office, also known as the Gestapo.

His name was Heinrich Müller.

The reason for publishing this phase of his eventful life is that so many agencies in the United States and their supporters do not want to believe that a man of Müller¹s position could ever have been employed by their country in general or their agency in specific.
