The Rat Hole

Would you like to know why? Why is it that the race that is a religion is always getting strung up like so many sides of beef by countless countries throughout recorded history? Why is it that these countries can’t see the light and accept these hooked nosed scull capped ringlet sporting bearded circumcisers into the fold? Now this is indeed a great question so without further ado, let us have ole Mr Morphed shine a bit of light on these poor souls that are so innocent and pure that to hate them will most likely be a death sentence soo

Race is on for space-junk alarm system

The US government is launching a competition, which will run until the end of 2010, to find the best way of tracking pieces of junk down to the size of a pool ball. Three aerospace companies - Northrop Grumman, Lockheed-Martin and Raytheon - have each been awarded $30 million by US Air Force Space Command to design a "space fence" that will constantly report the motion of all objects 5 centimetres wide and larger in medium and low-Earth orbits.

Disappearing freedoms are being noticed by more people

A majority of people don't consider the stupidity of having a standing army occupying our cities, towns, and countryside until one of their friends is the target of a power-crazed abuser. This may be changing. More people are beginning to awaken to the fact that the policeman is NOT your friend. Ever. The evidence is overwhelming and shocking. Cops are the new "stranger with candy", and much more of a real threat than your mom's mostly-imaginary boogeyman ever was, since almost every incident is "justified" or found to be "within department guidelines".

Obamacare is worse than just shooting old people

They plan to let old people die rather than treat them for serious health problems. This in time will extend to anyone at whatever age that can’t work and support the elites living in their mansions on the hill. If you support killing the elderly because they can’t work then you are one sick puppy and I hope you understand that you will get old one day.

What's the Problem With California?

Why are people leaving? Because California is over-taxed and over-regulated. Businesses are having an increasingly difficult time surviving. And individual citizens are watching state bureaucrats take a bigger and bigger bite out of their incomes.

California's corporate tax rate is the ninth-highest in the country. The personal income tax is the fifth-highest. The state sales tax is also one of the nation's highest, and that doesn't even take local sales taxes into account.

IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL THE JOBS COME BACK -- PERIOD!

So I'm watching these talking heads on CNBC telling America that the signs of a recovery are there. They are lying and not just merely misled. They are flat lying, hoping some suckers out there will start making purchases to jump-start America's consumer-driven engine, and to a small degree it is working. All I can tell you is this: When your money is spent, it is GONE, okay? If there is not a corresponding and reliable, ongoing source of income to offset your purchases, don't make the purchases. Inside the swine flu hotline call-centre: Tasteless 'David Brent' jokes and a terrified 16-year-old recruit

During a training session, instructor Ben Kirby – whose manner was akin to television character David Brent – joked that the rapid spread of swine flu would help boost the profits of Teleperformance, the firm contracted by the Government to run the hotline.

Our investigators also found:

  • Among those selected to field enquiries was a 16-year-old school leaver who confessed she was so terrified she told a caller to dial 999.
  • Teleperformance will earn money from each call it handles under a hastily-struck deal with the NHS – prompting Mr Kirby to state: ‘There’s an endless budget...on this campaign.’
  • Mr Kirby joked about sending a victim to run around the streets of Bristol to spread flu.

It was replete with tales of the illegal sales of body parts; of furtive negotiations in diners, parking lots and boiler rooms; of nervous jokes about “patting down” a man who turned out to indeed be an informant; and, again and again, of the passing of cash — once in a box of Apple Jacks cereal stuffed with $97,000.

IDF Vets Train U.S. Jews to Protect Their Communities

Starting in late July, a group of Israeli combat veterans will be holding a training camp in New York to teach advanced self-defense techniques to Jews in U.S. communities. Replying to an e-mail petition against the planned demolition of Klein’s home, Pines wrote: “I hope that not only the Major’s home will be destroyed, but the entire settlement, and that the mitnachablim will all be gone with the wind.”

Hillary Clinton: Iran pursuit of nukes 'futile'

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday that Iran will never achieve its goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon, declaring to Tehran: "Your pursuit is futile."

"What we want to do is to send a message to whoever is making these decisions, that if you're pursuing nuclear weapons for the purpose of intimidating, of projecting your power, we're not going to let that happen," Clinton said.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to SECSTATE HRC: my dear lady, the "big lie" technique is not working on the American people anymore, no matter how desperately you feel the compulsive need to publicly prove your undying fealty to Israel.

FACT: As a signatory to the NPT, Iran is perfectly within its right to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes, i.e., build a power plant.

FACT: The IAEA, which has been inspecting this plant, has declared that there have been no missing or unaccounted for nuclear materials which might be used to create a nuclear bomb.

FACT: The level of uranium enrichment necessary for creating a weapon is infinitely stronger than that necessary for creating a power plant, and the IAEA has found absolutely no evidence of that either.

FACT: Israel, which does have nuclear weapons, refuses to sign the NPT, which would mandate inspection of their nuclear facilities.

FINAL FACT: Secretary Clinton, you must be, in light of your position in this administration, aware of the reality that senior Russian officials have warned that a military attack against Iran will trigger WWIII.

If you are insane enough to believe that somehow, a war between Russia and the US would be a really good thing for this country, you need to be immediately relieved of your responsibilities as Secretary of State, and receive a psychiatric evaluation.

    Mass Layoffs: The Continuing Devastation

Stock market investors shrug off a disaster in our midst: mass layoffs. Investors act as though it will soon be business as usual. CIA 'put pressure on Britain to cover up its use of torture'

The CIA has been secretly pressuring the British Government to help it cover up its use of torture, documents filed in the High Court have revealed.

The documents, to be discussed at a hearing this week, suggest that the UK authorities did everything they could to accede to the CIA's wishes while at the same time trying to conceal the fact they were talking to the agency.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

No surprise here; the CIA is attempting to cover its nether regions on this one.

Unfortunately, however, the embrace and the institution of the use of torture has created two major consequences for this country.

First, for all practical intents and purposes, it has effectively removed the US from any human rights accords to which it has ever been a signatory.

Secondly, because torture became (and continues to be) US policy, any US military or civilian personnel who gets captured can expect no better treatment than the US meted out at Abu Ghraib.

Poisonous gas from African lake poses threat to millions

It is estimated that the lake, which straddles the borders of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, now contains 300 cubic kilometres of carbon dioxide and 60 cubic kilometres of methane that have bubbled into the Kivu from volcanic vents. The gases are trapped in layers 80 metres below the lake's surface by the intense water pressures there. However, researchers have warned that geological or volcanic events could disturb these waters and release the gases.

Dennis Blair: Iran Has Not Re-Started Its Nuclear Weapons Program

Earlier this month, Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Carl Levin (D-MI) asked Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair to address the “confusion” about what the intelligence says about Iran’s weapons capacity. Blair said the intelligence community has assessed that Iran does not possess any highly-enriched uranium, and clarified that Mullen had been referring only to low-enriched uranium.

Moreover, Blair said that the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate, which judged that “in the fall of 2003 Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program,” still stands

Gates, in Visit to Israel, Will Find Iran Looming

The official, who was briefing reporters in advance of Mr. Gates’s trip, acknowledged that the Israelis did not think the diplomacy would work and that they were losing patience. “Are they anxious?” the official said. “Yes, they’re anxious. But we’re not having regular conversations where they’re coming in and saying, ‘Stop your engagement now, bomb Iran tomorrow.’ ”

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is one of the many articles we're seeing lately, the intention of which is to "groom" the American public for an Israeli-led/ US supported attack on Iran.

However, there is one minor problem with the "bomb bomb bomb...bomb bomb Iran" scenario.

It is the the 6,000 lb gorilla, sitting on the Steinway, and one which should be acknowledged by any thinking adults (if there are any) in the halls of power in Tel Aviv and Washington.

That 6,000 lb gorilla is Russia. Russian leadership has already stated very flatly that there are no inducements the US can offer it to turn a blind eye against an attack against Iran. Russian leadership has already stated unequivocally that an attack against Iran will lead to WWIII.

Does the US really want to go to war with Russia to "neutralize" Iran for Israel?

    I'd like to hope not.

But there are some in the halls of power who believe that only another massive military confrontation can possibly deflect the anger of Americans against this government for having bungled the economy so spectacularly, and also jump-start the economy.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

And why should the American people trust the government?!?

The only thing for which they can trust the federal government, at this point, is that the federal government will lie to the American people to achieve any objective the government believes is in its own best interest, whether or not it is actually in the interests of the American people.

US: Parade of officials to caution Israel

The Obama administration is dispatching four of its most senior foreign policy and security figures to Israel this coming week with the same message on two open questions causing friction between the close allies: Don't do it.

Taking a firmer line with Israel than the Bush administration, President Barack Obama is urging Israel to stop all settlement construction in the West Bank or risk closing off the most promising avenues for peace negotiations.

Washington also wants Israel to shelve any plan for a military strike to sabotage Iran's nuclear facilities, arguing that Obama's offer of engagement and talks with Iran deserves time to bear fruit.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to President Obama: sir, Netanyahu's government keeps spitting in your face and telling you it's raining on the settlement issue.

And you just told the world right out loud on Friday, that you will not use the one bargaining chip this Israeli administration would understand, and that would be the immediate cessation of all US military and financial aid.

Israel's response regarding settlements, coupled with that statement on Friday, has made you look catastrophically impotent to Palestinians and Arabs of all stripes because this telegraphs to them that you have completely lost your integrity as a potential honest broker for peace.

And as to Iran, watch for Israel to most probably stage some kind of a "false flag" to get that going well and truly before the end of the year.

They will expect American taxpayers to fund this, and for American kids to fight, die, and get maimed in the process of "neutralizing" yet another one of their existential enemies in the region (and that seems to include all of their neighbors!)

The Israelis are experts at this. As any of your staff to google the "USS LIBERTY", and you will see, very clearly, what I mean.

U.S. money laundering suspects linked to Shas spiritual leader

The Israel Police is set to investigate several Sephardic yeshivas, among them those linked with Shas, under suspicion of money laundering as related to the case. Police sources speculate that the investigation may expand to include banks that may have been involved in the possible money laundering operation.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Israeli banks are now caught up in the money laundry/organ brokering ring!

Tax on 'gold-plated' health care plans gains ground

White House officials are embracing a plan to tax "gold-plated, Cadillac" insurance policies, giving momentum to an idea that is receiving bipartisan consideration on Capitol Hill.

Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said Friday on Bloomberg TV that he is "taking an intense look at it."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

    Oh, REALLY?!?!?

Then let's start with taxing the health care benefits of all congressional representatives!!

    As reported in:

    http://public-healthcare-issues.suite101.com/article.cfm/health_care_f...

"As soon as members of Congress are sworn in, they may participate in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). The program offers an assortment of health plans from which to choose, including fee-for-service, point-of-service, and health maintenance organizations (HMOs). In addition, Congress members can also insure their spouses and their dependents.

Not only does Congress get to choose from a wide range of plans, but there’s no waiting period. Unlike many Americans who must struggle against precondition clauses or are even denied coverage because of those preconditions, Senators and Representatives are covered no matter what - effective immediately.

And here’s the best part. The government pays up to 75 percent of the premium. That government, of course, is funded by taxpayers, the same taxpayers who often cannot afford health care themselves."

And please understand; even if a senator or congressional representative has served for only one term, these benefits stand FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.

Iraq Veterans Find Afghan Enemy Even Bolder

“It was straight luck that we didn’t have a lot more guys hit,” said Sgt. Brandon Tritle, another squad leader in Company C, who cited the Taliban’s skill at laying down a base of fire to mount an attack.

“One force will put enough fire down so you have to keep your heads down, then another force will maneuver around to your side to try to kill you,” he said. “That’s the same thing we do.”

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The Afghan people want their country back.

We do not have anywhere near the complement of military boots on the ground to win this.

We cannot win what is essentially a ground war from the air. We can kill (and further radicalize those who are left) women, kids, the elderly, and the medically fragile. But that's not "winning" this conflict.

The US puppet installed government is believed so crooked by the Afghan people that many believe these people have to screw their socks on in the morning.

There will be a "Saigon Moment" in Kabul. The question is, how many more of our military will have to die and get maimed before that happens.

And why are we there? For the installation of pipelines, and protecting the drug trade, which is so profitable for so many.

Anyone remember the "Golden Triangle" in Vietnam during the Vietnam War?

Painting Obama as an enemy will hurt Israel badly

In the new Israeli debate, America is slowly beginning to be perceived as an enemy - and the dispute is going personal: Our prime minister versus their president. Yesterday, he simply demanded that Israel adopt the two-state solution, then called for a freeze on construction in the settlements (without agreeing to settle for "only" the completion of projects already underway), and now he wants to divide Jerusalem. Not Netanyahu - Obama.

US in diplomatic push for Mideast peace

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates heads to the Middle East on Sunday as part of a broader diplomatic push by President Barack Obama to breath life into faltering peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, US officials said.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to SecDef Gates: what Israel wants is not peace, but territory... by any means necessary.

The other thing they are going to demand of you in this next round of meetings is a commitment to "neutralize" Iran for them, as they claim that this country is an existential threat to their existence.

Never mind, of course, that the IAEA has stated repeatedly that their inspections show no diversions of nuclear materials from the building of their power plant. Never mind that there is absolutely zero evidence that Iran is enriching uranium to the level to which it needs to be enriched in order to create a nuclear weapon.

You will be given your marching orders at this next meeting, SecDef Gates, and Israel will fully expect American kids to fight, die, and get maimed in this war, and for the American taxpayers to pay for all of it without protest.

And of course, never mind that Russian leaders have warned that such a military confrontation could start World War III.

Spitzer: Federal Reserve is ‘a Ponzi scheme, an inside job’

The Federal Reserve — the quasi-autonomous body that controls the US’s money supply — is a “Ponzi scheme” that created “bubble after bubble” in the US economy and needs to be held accountable for its actions, says Eliot Spitzer, the former governor and attorney-general of New York.

Advocating in favor of a House bill to audit the Federal Reserve, Spitzer said: “The Federal Reserve has benefited for decades from the notion that it is quasi-autonomous, it’s supposed to be independent. Let me tell you a dirty secret: The Fed has done an absolutely disastrous job since [former Fed Chairman] Paul Volcker left.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The man is entirely right on this.

    One Percenters Enjoy Unprecedented Protection

Here's a truism: The wealthiest 1 percent have never had it so good .
According to government figures, 1 percenters' share of America's total income is the highest it's been since 1929, and their tax rates are the lowest they've faced in two decades.
With 22,000 Americans dying each year because they lack health insurance, Congress is considering universal health-care legislation financed by a surcharge on income above $280,000 - that is, a levy almost exclusively on 1 percenters. This surtax would graze just 5 percent of small businesses and would recoup only part of the $700 billion the 1 percenters received from the Bush tax cuts. In fact, it is so miniscule, those making $1 million annually would pay just $9,000 more in taxes every year - or nine-tenths of 1 percent of their 12-month haul.

Nonetheless, the 1 percenters have deployed an army to destroy the initiative.

Money printing, debt growth and deficits don't create prosperity, says Marc Faber

NTERNATIONAL. Marc Faber the Swiss fund manager and Gloom Boom & Doom editor said the US Federal Reserve managed, through stimulus, to do something that had never before been done - create a worldwide bubble in just about everything -stocks, bonds , housing and art.

The only thing that didn't go up was the dollar, according to Faber.

Speaking to the 10th Annual Agora Financial Investment Symposium in Vancouver this week, Faber said: “You cannot create prosperity through money printing and debt growth.”

Faber preached an idea that became the theme of the event: Government fiscal and monetary intervention, “can postpone, but not prevent crisis.

    The Anti-Ecology of Money

Yet tertiary goods are available in amounts limited only by the demand. How many bonds can a corporation print? For all practical purposes, as many as people are willing to buy. A good number of the colorful bankruptcies that have enlivened the business pages in recent months, for example, took out firms that mistook a temporary bubble for permanent prosperity, issued bonds far beyond their ability to pay, and crashed and burned when all that debt started to come due. On an even more gargantuan scale, the United States government is currently trying to restart its economy by spending money it doesn’t have, selling bonds to cover the difference, and amassing debt on a scale that makes the most extravagant Third World kleptocracies look like a bunch of pikers.

WAR IS OVER! If you want it

That’s right; the war is over due to the courageous act of one Major Stefan Frederick Cook, United States Army Reserve, who recently challenged an Army order to deploy to Afghanistan on the grounds that they could not lawfully order him to deploy.

Since the Army has only that authority given to it by the President, and, since Obama himself must possess the authority of President in order to delegate it to the Army, Major Cook believes Obama must prove he has such authority before he may lawfully comply with an Army order to deploy.

The largest survey on primary health care ever conducted in Canada found that most people have high praise for their family doctor, and a staggering 92 per cent would recommend their physician to a relative or friend.

Care is available 24/7 without any insurance premiums or direct patient fees, whether you are rich, poor, employed, unemployed, young, old or have pre-existing conditions.

    Nuclear Israel:A Kosher Calamity

“If Iran develops nuclear capabilities it will start an arms race in the Middle East that would threaten the world”, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Thursday.

Lieberman claimed at the start of his four-day slander-a-thon trip to Argentina that Iran is the “biggest sponsor of world terror organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah.”
“If Iran would achieve nuclear capacity, we’ll see a crazy nuclear-armed race in our region that will be a threat not only to Israel but to the rest of the world,” he bluntly told reporters.

The irony in Mr.Lieberman’s contention is almost laughable to anyone with an iota of knowledge in respect to what nuclear weapons Israel has and how much aid the United States of America delivers to Israel, casually – and on a yearly basis.

The notion of “consensus” is unscientific, he added. “Science is meant to be robust debate.”

Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.

The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

Obama Administration Begins Opposition To States Claiming Sovereignty And Gun Rights

I believe the Supreme Court but I know not how long this may take. In the meantime, the Obama administration, made up of mostly anti-gun people, are grasping to gain control over your right to keep and bear arms. From the day Obama was elected, the people rushed to stores buying up guns and ammunition at unprecedented rates. With the combination of a new president and staff known to want to ban gun and gun sales and the District of Columbia vs. Heller ruling, it has helped spur more laws to relax gun restrictions. This, I am positive, angers the Obama administration.
