Farmer Faces $2.8 Million Fine After He Bought 450 Acres of Land and Began Plowing It

By Organic & Healthy

A lawyer for Duarte Nursery said the case is important because it could set a precedent requiring other farmers to obtain costly, time-consuming permits just to plow their fields.

“The case is the first time that we’re aware of that says you need to get a (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) permit to plow to grow crops,” said Anthony Francois, an attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation...

Comrade Psychiatrist is unhappy with Mr. Trump's "delusional reformism"

American progressives have been enamored with many Soviet ideas in their time, trying to transplant them to the U.S. -- from government diktat and central planning to academic indoctrination and propaganda through entertainment. And while the Soviet Union has gone the way of the dodo, its glorious socialist legacy is still up for the picking.

One of these unparalleled Soviet achievements is the use of psychiatry to silence dissent and delegitimize political opposition, allowing the KGB to lock up dissidents in mental hospitals nicknamed psikhushkas.

In the United States today hundreds of zealous progressive psychiatrists are similarly diagnosing Donald Trump "in absentia" with a variety of incapacitating diseases, from narcissism to neurosyphilis, demanding that he be deposed (and hopefully locked up in a psikhushka along with his supporters).

Maxine Waters on War Path, Wants Trump Exiled! (Video)

It is almost sad yet thoroughly laughable to witness the mental meltdown of Maxine Waters in real time. She has become increasingly unhinged ever since the election, and has each attack against Trump has been discredited, her grip on reality is slowly slipping away. Already she has been called out by even leftist news outlets for contradicting her own public statements. But as her Twitter account shows, her mental state may have degraded even further.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at Waters’ recent Twitter statuses, where she calls for the exile of Donald Trump. Let that sink in for a moment, she is actually calling for a sitting president to be exiled, forgetting that we are not living in the Roman Empire. What is more sad is that such a deluded woman is still able to hold office.

China dispatches military vessels & fighter jets to warn off US warship sailing near disputed island

China has sent military vessels and warplanes to “warn off” USS Stethem, a guided-missile destroyer, that sailed near a disputed island in the South China Sea, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang.

“Under the pretext of ‘freedom of navigation,’ the US side once again sent a military vessel into China's territorial waters off the Xisha Islands without China's approval,” the spokesperson said in a statement, adding that such US behavior “violated Chinese law and relevant international law, infringed upon China's sovereignty, and disrupted the peace, security and order of the relevant waters.”

"China dispatched military vessels and fighter planes in response to warn off the US vessel," the statement reads.

Civil War museum workers removing Confederate monument find 103-year-old time capsule hidden INSIDE the granite landmark

The Missouri Civil War Museum says crews who dismantled and removed a Confederate monument in a sprawling St. Louis park found a time capsule inside the 103-year-old granite landmark.

Museum director Mark Trout tells KTVI that workers jackhammering around the last pieces of the 38-foot-tall monument popped loose the waterlogged, sealed capsule.

Trout says the find this week was 'like Indiana Jones'.

He says the capsule will be opened privately, with the contents being revealed at a fundraiser.

Italy has threatened to close its ports and impound rescue ships run by aid agencies carrying people from Libya.

...

According to the UN, 83,650 people have reached Italy by sea since the beginning of the year - a 20% increase on the same period in 2016.

Numbers have been rising steeply, with about 12,600 migrants and refugees arriving last weekend alone.

For the first time in US history a handful of US states is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. Illinois cannot possibly pay its accumulated debt, its unpaid medicaid expenses and its future retirement obligations, so bankruptcy most certainly will be its only way out.

Wikileaks Reveals CIA Malware that Hacks & Spy On Linux Computers

Although the installation and persistence method of the OutlawCountry tool is not described in detail in the document, it seems like the CIA hackers rely on the available CIA exploits and backdoors to inject the kernel module into a targeted Linux operating system.

However, there are some limitations to using the tool, such as the kernel modules only work with compatible Linux kernels.

"OutlawCountry v1.0 contains one kernel module for 64-bit CentOS/RHEL 6.x; this module will only work with default kernels. Also, OutlawCountry v1.0 only supports adding covert DNAT rules to the PREROUTING chain," WikiLeaks says.

UK's 'extreme mass surveillance' web snooping powers face legal challenge

The High Court has granted Liberty permission to challenge part of the UK's "extreme mass surveillance regime", with a judicial review of the Investigatory Powers Act.

The law forces internet companies to keep logs of emails, phone calls, texts and web browsing histories and to hand them over to the state to be stored or examined. The civil liberties campaign group wants to challenge this mass collection, arguing that the measure breaches British people's rights.

In a separate case in December, the European Court of Justice ruled the same powers in the previous law governing UK state surveillance were unlawful.

Planned False Flag CW Attack by Terrorists in Syria?

According to Syria’s Foreign Ministry, US-supported terrorists plan another false flag CW attack, saying:

They intend “blow(ing) up (munitions) filled with poisonous materials in the near future in one of Daraa province areas” – a provocation giving Washington unjustifiable justification to strike Syrian forces again.

False flags are a longstanding American tradition, dating from the 19th century, acts of mass deception, incidents wrongfully blamed on innocent parties, used as pretexts for US aggression.

US Democrats Want to Remove Trump From White House for Mental Incapacity

A group of Democrats in the House of Representatives have moved to bring the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution into play, allowing for the removal of US President Donald Trump from office for mental incapacity.

Member of the US House of Representatives Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has introduced a bill that would create a special oversight committee to determine whether US President Donald Trump has the mental capacity to serve as president, thereby setting the stage to remove him from office under the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution, which allows for a president who is mentally unfit to carry out the duties of the office to be fired.

Connecticut Governor signs GMO labeling bill into law

On Wednesday, Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy made history by signing into law a bill that requires all foods containing genetically modified organisms for human consumption to be properly labeled. It is the first bill of its kind to be signed in the United States and represents a huge step forward for advocates of organic food and honest labeling. However, the bill, which was passed by Connecticut voters back in June, will not go into effect until other states in the Northeastern region with a combined population of 20 million pass similar labeling laws.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Actually, Vermont already has a similar law.

"From Horrific To Catastrophic": Court Ruling Sends Illinois Into Financial Abyss

First Maine, then Connecticut, and finally late on Friday, confirming the worst case outcome many had expected, Illinois entered its third straight fiscal year without a budget as Republican Governor Bruce Rauner and Democratic lawmakers failed to agree on how to compromise over the government’s chronic deficits, pushing it closer toward becoming the first junk-rated U.S. state.

By the end of Friday - the last day of the fiscal year - Illinois legislators failed to enact a budget, and while negotiations continued amid some glimmers of hope and lawmakers planned to meet over the weekend, the failure marked a continuation of the historic impasse that’s left Illinois without a full-year budget since mid-2015, and which, recall, S&P warned one month ago will likely result in a humiliating and unprecedented downgrade of the 5th most populous US state to junk status.

Then came the begging.

Maine To Begin Shutdown After Gov. LePage Says He Won't Sign Budget Bill

After Maine Gov. Paul LePage delivered an ultimatum to state lawmakers, promising to provoke a government shutdown should the state's legislature hand him a budget that includes a tax increase, it appears the governor intends to keep his word.

LePage told reporters at the state capital that he won't sign anything Friday, ensuring that a shutdown will begin at midnight, because the current budget proposalwhich was endorsed late Thursday by a special panel of lawmakers but has not yet been approved by the state legislature, includes a 1.5% lodging tax increase.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the budget package currently under consideration would raise the lodging tax from 9% to 10.5%. The budget does, however, include a 3% cut to an education surtax on individuals earning more than $200,000. LePage has also taken issue with the size of the $7.1 billion budget.

Connecticut Gov. Signs Exec. Order Taking Over Spending After State Fails To Pass Budget

With Maine looking like it will be the first state to shut down heading into the new fiscal year on Saturday morning and perhaps beating Illinois to the punch, moments ago Connecticut, as previewed last night, will also enter the new fiscal year without a budget, inviting rating agencies to downgrade it to Illinois' "barely junk" rating or perhaps making CT the first US junk-rated state.

Lawmakers and the governor had been unable to reach an agreement on a two-year budget that will cover a projected $5 billion deficit for months, and not even the threat of the new year prompted them to move as we expected.

Meanwhile, Governor Malloy signed an executive order taking over the state's spending authority which will cut most services but at least keeps the government open.

US Falsely Accuses Iran of Violating Nuclear Deal

It’s very difficult to accuse Iran of being in violation of the P5+1 nuclear deal, because they are plainly not. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is responsible for policing the deal, confirms on a monthly basis that this remains the case, and that Iran has not been in violation of the pact.

That’s an inconvenience for the Trump Administration, which has repeatedly condemned the deal and insisted Iran would violate it. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley appears to have decided that the path of least resistance is overt lying, today claiming at the UN Security Council that Iran had “repeated violations” of the deal.

The claim was made literally during a meeting at which all the other permanent members of the Security Council were talking up how great it is that the deal is in place, and that Iran is showing such a deep commitment to its continued participation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With her blatant, and unrelentingly slavish support for Israel, which means she feels obligated to lie about Iran's compliance with the P5+1 Accord, Haley is fast approaching the VISS (Village Idiot Syndrome Status) with her brother and sister diplomats, who are doing everything to ignore her unrestrained rantings and ravings the best they can.

But please understand; there are elements with the Deep American State who will not rest until, to placate Israel, there is a US war against Iran in order to accomplish regime change in Tehran, no matter if this also means a war against Russia, which such a war against Iran, will probably create.

China Demands US Halt $1.42 Billion Arms Sale to Taiwan

Chinese officials are expressing outrage today at the announcement of the US planning to sell $1.42 billion in arms to the island of Taiwan, saying that it is “the wrong decision” by the US and sends a wrong message about Taiwan’s status. They are demanding the US immediately halt the sale.

America’s “One China Policy” makes this an annual matter of no small difficulty, as officially the US has a policy of not recognizing Taiwan as a country, but also has a policy of selling them vast amounts of weaponry on an annual basis.

Chinese officials, however, say this was all already discussed at Mar-a-Lago back in April, when President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met for the first time, and that the two had reached “a consensus” which this arms sale is violating.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Chinese President Xi Jinping sees President Trump as going back on his word from the consensus he reached with Trump during the Mar-a-Largo meetings, this is going to put a tremendous strain on US/Chinese relations.

HACKED EMAIL SHOWS UAE AMBASSADOR LOBBYING THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE ON YEMEN WAR

PART OF KEEPING close relationships with serial human rights violators, as the U.S. does, is the constant pressure from those governments to ignore their reported abuses. That dynamic was on full display in a hacked email exchange between the United Arab Emirates’ influential ambassador to the U.S. and a top Obama national security official. The sometimes testy back-and-forth between allies, which was obtained by The Intercept, shows how friendly foreign governments lobby the White House on human rights, and how the White House sometimes pushes back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That the US government frequently colludes with human rights violators, and massive perpetrators of war crimes, does NOT make me happy to be an American citizen right now.

And two of the worst offenders in these areas are Israel and Saudi Arabia.
