Khazaria—The Myth of Anti-Semitism Exposed at Last!!

"This was written before the full extent of the holocaust was known, but that does not alter the fact that the large majority of surviving Jews in the world is of Eastern European - and thus perhaps mainly of Khazar - origin. If so, this would mean that their ancestors came not from the Jordan but from the Volga, not from Canaan but from the Caucasus, once believed to be the cradle of the Aryan race; and that genetically they are more closely related to the Hun, Uigur and Magyar tribes than to the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Should this turn out to be the case, then the term "anti-Semitism" would become void of meaning, based on a misapprehension shared by both the killers and their victims.

My Holocaust Memoir

I was born in Chicago in 1969. Shortly afterward, in 1941, my entire family was rounded up by the authorities and sent to the Theresienstadt camp, along with tens of thousands of other Jews, who hailed principally from Czechoslovakia, Austria, and Germany. The first few days there, separated from my family, denied even the most basic creature comforts, I was in a state of shock. I could hardly eat or sleep, and, to make matters worse, I had misplaced my cell-phone charger. I felt powerless.

Plague-Infested Mice Missing From New Jersey Research Lab

The frozen remains of two mice infected with the bubonic plague are missing from a New Jersey bioterror research facility, and the facility waited seven weeks to report the incident to federal and state authorities.

Officials with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, where the remains went missing, and FBI officials, said the missing mice pose no public health threat.

This is the same facility where three live plague-inflected mice went missing in September 2005. Officials concluded those mice died.

Backlash over bankers' bonuses

Despite the recession, Britain's clearing banks will this month pay out millions to staff in bonuses. RBS, now propped up with £20bn of public money, wants to pay its staff almost £1bn in bonuses, it emerged yesterday. Critics contrasted the Government's "mere words" with the decisive and legally enforceable cap on executive pay and bonuses announced by President Barack Obama in the US. They dismissed the Chancellor's plans as not much more than a non-binding code of conduct, which banks are sure to flout.

More Bailout Propaganda, This time from GRETCHEN MORGENSON

New York Times Online | Saturday Feb 7 2009 | GRETCHEN MORGENSON

JUST in case you missed it: The Congressional Oversight Panel monitoring the Treasury Department’s bailout of broken banks — the Troubled Asset Relief Program — reported last week that Henry M. Paulson Jr.’s team at Treasury paid significantly more for the assets it bought from banks than they were worth when the deal was announced in the fall.

[...] the report said. “This disparity translates into a $78 billion shortfall for the first $254 billion in TARP funds that were spent.”

More taxpayer money down the drain, alas. And all the more reason to focus closely on executive pay restrictions at any bank that receives TARP funding.

FLASHBACK - Ringworm and Radiation

To fool the parents of the victims, the children were taken away on "school trips" and their parents were later told the x-rays were a treatment for the scourge of scalpal ringworm. 6,000 of the children died shortly after their doses were given, while many of the rest developed cancers that killed thousands over time and are still killing them now. Oakland bank apologizes to Muslim woman it denied service

A bank has apologized to a Muslim woman denied service in December because she was wearing a hijab, but has also defended its decision.

When Safa Magid went to Community Bank of the Bay to make a deposit, a teller refused to serve her, explaining that the bank's policy prohibiting people from wearing hats included head scarves.

"The woman asked if I could take off my scarf," Magid said Thursday. "And I said, `No, I'm not going to take off my scarf.' Then, she said she couldn't serve me because I'm wearing a scarf."

Obama Calls Stimulus Necessary to Save Jobs

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Saturday championed his economic stimulus plan as ''absolutely necessary'' -- if imperfect -- while Republicans dug in against a bill they said hadn't even been written, let alone properly reviewed or sufficiently revised.

''This is still a very big spending bill,'' Kyl said during a rare Saturday session on the Hill. ''You can't fix it by simply shaving a little bit off.''

He also sought to bring Republicans into the mix, pledging to listen to them, praising the late-Friday negotiations.

GOP leaders, however, said the rhetoric didn't match what was written.

Director of Policy for the Israel Policy Forum, Mr. Rosenberg's blog entry concerns the upcoming Israeli election -- and he tells us the outcome is "really not our business." After all, he blithely notes, "As Americans, our job is to promote policies that are best for America, and for Israel."

There weren't comments when I started reading -- but by the time I read through his post and hit the reply button, there were already five comments and more pending. All of them saying the same thing -- no, Mr. Rosenberg -- our job is to promote policies that are best for America. PERIOD.

Republicans’ audacity boggles the mind

Call it what you want — nerve, gall, chutzpah — but congressional Republicans have it in spades. Our country just went through a horrendous eight years with President George W. Bush, supported and enabled by congressional Republicans, who among other wrong choices took us to an unnecessary war in Iraq and ran the national debt up by more than $5 trillion.

Letter to Editor, CNN Money – Why Won't President Obama's Stimulus Work

February 06, 2009, 2 PM, California, USA

In reference to your article of January 13, 2009 'Bernanke: More bank bailouts needed', perhaps Dr. Bernanke, Ph.D. 1979 from my alma mater, has an altogether different agenda because he can't obviously be an imbecile. An expensive MIT education does not create crétins. It can however, create hectoring hegemons.

As Mr. Gerald Celente of Trends Research Institute recently observed to Alex Jones:

“We are going to go into a depression worse than the Great Depression, and here is why. There is a way to get out of this but not through fiscal or monetary stimulus”

So what is that way out which Dr. Ben Bernanke will not inform the President of the United States of America as he clamors for more stimulus and bailout?

Oversight of the costly cleanup of heavily polluted weapons plants would stay with the Energy Department.

A conflict with Turkey would mean the suicide of Israel.

Turkey can turn the crisis in Davos into an opportunity, and this has become possible because of a historical turning point in the meeting in Davos that occurred when Mr. Erdo?an (as he should have) left a panel discussion after an argument with the Israeli president. While the Turkish media discuss whether the behavior of Prime Minister Erdo?an was right, Erdo?an’s action, which can be defined as active, smart and not to be outdone, has carried Turkey into a key position. Now, what is the probability that this attitude and this occasion will be turned into a stable one in the international arena? This aspect of the issue deserves to be discussed. One of the things that bothers Israel most is the possibility that Turkey may work out a stable peace between Hamas and Fatah.

What The "Stimulus" Debate Teaches Us

The man has demonstrated a frightening lack of intelligence during his first days holding the honorary title "president of the United States". He thinks redistribution of consumption - in the amount of nearly one trillion fiat dollars - will "stimulate" the economy, and that failure to do this will unleash "catastrophe." It's one thing not to understand the basic tenets of economics, but to publicly stomp your feet when others refuse to ignore reality and embrace your false beliefs can only be interpreted as a lack of basic intellectual capacity.

We or Me?

When you breakdown the logic behind a Liberal persons argument on any subject, they base the correctness of their argument upon what is best for the whole of "mankind". Conservatives, on the other hand, base the correctness of their argument upon what is best for the individual. Both sides can make good cases. The conservative logic of "me first" may sound bad to a liberal, but is that only because a liberal is a "we first" person?

Girl Says Mother Allowed Father to Rape, Impregnate Sister

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — The older sister of a girl allegedly molested and impregnated four times by their father said Thursday their mother allowed the abuse and should face more than a child-endangerment charge.

The 47-year-old mother was allowed to miss a scheduled court appearance Thursday; a preliminary hearing was set for March 5. Her public defender, Angela Weatherford, declined to comment on the case.

Her husband, also 47, faces charges including second-degree murder in the death of a boy born in November 2006. The infant is believed to have died months later after not receiving medical treatment for pneumonia.

Gore to Children: Question Your Parents' Climate Beliefs as We Questioned Segregation

Imagine this – a former high-ranking and well-respected government official telling your children that they know something you don’t. Is this Cold War-era Soviet Union? Nope. It’s Maryland, and the official is former Vice President Al Gore.

In audio aired on the Feb. 4 “Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Gore was advising school children on the eve of the inauguration of President Barack Obama, presumably at the University of Maryland Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. He said that it’s up to them to question their parents on conventional wisdom in order to overcome the challenges of modern America, one of them being global warming.

Warning over 'surveillance state'

Electronic surveillance and collection of personal data are "pervasive" in British society and threaten to undermine democracy, peers have warned.

CCTV cameras and the DNA database were two examples of threats to privacy, the Lords constitution committee said.

It called for compensation for people subject to illegal surveillance.

The government said CCTV and DNA were "essential" to fight crime but campaign group Liberty said abuses of power mean "even the innocent have a lot to fear".

Obama Calls Delay on Stimulus Bill ‘Inexcusable’ | Says his pen ready NOW to sign MORTGAGE ON FUTURE!

New York Times Online | DAVID M. HERSZENHORN | Fri- Feb 6, 2009

WASHINGTON — Prodded by President Obama’s reaction to yet another dismal economic report on Friday, the Senate resumed its efforts to reach an accord on his economic stimulus plan, with Democrats calling for quick action and Republicans arguing against what they described as wasteful spending.

"The situation could not be more serious." said Obama.

And Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, said the numbers being talked about show that each of the 3 million to 4 million jobs President Obama has said he wanted to create would cost more than $900,000 each. “The American people are figuring it out,” Mr. McCain said. “This is not a stimulus bill; it is a spending bill.”

Smoking Pot: Horrors! Gasp! Unbelievable! I am Outraged!

The horrified response from the media, and people in general, is yet another fine example of the wussified wimps that people have become. No one ever stops to question how it is that marijuana became illegal while much more potent drugs - nicotine and alcohol (and rubber-stamped prescription drugs) - are entirely legal.

David Brooks says it's the The Gang System

New York Times Online Opinion | David Brooks | Fri- Feb 6, 2009

The substance of the legislation set up the polarized debate that followed. Liberal interest groups were happy. Conservative Republicans were united in opposition. But something interesting happened this week. The momentum of the debate was set by moderates. Conservative protests wouldn’t have amounted to much without nagging moderate unease.

Moderate economists looked at the package and complained about the vast parts that don’t even pretend to stimulate. Education reformers took a look at the education section and noted that the huge amount of money is not leveraged to produce any real reform.

Beware Of Latest Scheme Targeting Social Networking Sites

Last week, Bryan Rutberg's Facebook page fell into the wrong hands and a strange message appeared.

"It changed to "BRYAN IS IN URGENT NEED OF HELP!", all caps, exclamation point," Rutberg said. "I guess that is the way the scammer set the table for reaching out to my friends."

Rutberg couldn't access his own account because a hacker changed the password and was posing as Bryan.

That hacker was chatting by instant message with the friends listed on Bryan's Facebook page, telling them a harrowing story.

"The story was I'm stuck here in London," Rutberg said. "I was on vacation at a resort. We were held up at gunpoint and now I have no way to get back home. Please send money."

UK Spends Billions On High Tech IDs, Has No Way To Read Them [Brilliant]

Kudos to the British government for spending the equivalent of .6 billion US on a biometric National Identity Card program without budgeting for a single card reader. Truly, they operate like a finely-tuned machine.

Basically, they are set to roll out these cards to government officials and then on to private citizens as a way for the authorities to to protect identities and safeguard borders—but not a single police station, border entry point, or job center has a reader capable of extracting information from the card’s biometric chip.

Americans' doubts grow over stimulus bill

Reuters | Thu Feb 5, 2009 | 5:10pm EST

Two opinion polls show support dwindling. [...]

Even Democratic voters have reservations. Some voters decry a lack of political consensus; others argue the government should do more to explain the plan's benefits to voters. Obama took office on January 20.

"It's not going to work. We are just going to add to the debt. What would be better is if they (Congress) think about job creation and make it as clean as possible," Spencer said, citing a need to remove unnecessary projects.

"When politicians start talking about, 'Hurry up, hurry up,' that gives me pause always," Borders said. "It makes it very suspect."
