From Samarkhand to St. Petersburg: Journey of the Osman's Koran

The fragments of the Osman's Koran (also known as the Uthman Quran) from the 7th century, stored at the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts in St. Petersburg, consist of 81 sheets. Historian Efim Rezvan talks about how the Koran came to St. Petersburg, and about how researchers managed to find 16 additional sheets of these writings in Uzbekistan.
The four most ancient copies of the Koran are kept in Istanbul, Tashkent, Cairo and London. Each of them bears the traces of the blood of the Caliph Osman, a companion of Prophet Muhammad, and the third person to rule over the Muslim community. It was on his orders that copies of the Koran were then sent to major cities conquered by Muslim armies. The Caliph kept one copy at his home, and in 656, when conspirators broke into his house they found him reading it. The blood of the stabbed Caliph dripped onto the pages of the manuscript...

Obama Democrat To Congress: You Have No Right To Know What Government Does

The latest insanity coming from the left is that we have no right to know what our government is doing. During a congressional hearing on Friday, Obama puppet and congressional delegate for the District of Columbia Eleanor Holmes Norton stated that the people have no right to know what goes on behind closed doors:

Obama: Our “measure of strength internationally is not simply how many countries we’re occupying, or how many missiles we’re firing”

Didn’t George Orwell write a book about this?

Here’s a pretty revealing statement from our Nobel Peace Prize winning Commander-in-Chief earlier this week:

“The measure of strength internationally is not simply by how many countries we’re occupying, or how many missiles we’re firing, but the strength of our diplomacy and the strength of our commitment to human rights and our belief that we’ve got to cooperate with other countries together to solve massive problems like terrorism but also like climate change,” Obama said as he headlined a 350-person fundraiser in Potomac, Md. (source)

(Still doing fundraisers, eh?)

So the measure of US strength isn’t the number of countries the US is occupying and bombing (oh, and blah blah blah human rights and terrorism and climate change, oh my).

Do most Americans even know how many countries America is currently occupying?

ISIS militants use mustard gas in Syria

Experts of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) established that the Islamic State terrorist organization used chemical weapons, particularly yperite (mustard gas), in Syria. The chemical weapon was used in August, the report from the organization said. According to the report, at least two people had been exposed to mustard gas during the fighting in the area of the town of Marea, to the north off Aleppo, on August 21. "It is highly likely that the consequences of the use of yperite led to the death of a child," the report said. The report from the Commission of the OPCW comes as the first official confirmation of the use of chemical weapons by Islamic State terrorists. In early October, it was reported that Russian intelligence obtained records of secret negotiations of ISIS militants about the use of chemical weapons. It was said that the terrorists were going to use mustard gas ammo against government forces of President Bashar Assad.

Turkey to ‘act militarily’ against ISIS in coming days – foreign minister

Turkey has plans to “act militarily” against Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the coming days, the country's foreign minister says. It comes amid speculation that the jihadists are partly behind last month's Ankara bombings that killed 102 people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Turkey is wading into Syria. So is France, and soon the UK. What is going on here is that the US coalition is trying to regain the initiative in Syria and prove that the US, not Russia, is calling the shots. There is one slight problem with all of this. Russia is in Syria at the request of the Syrian government. The US is an illegal invader. So is Turkey. So is France. and so will be the UK!

Top General Admitting That Obama Knowingly Armed ISIS! How Is This Not Blatant Treason?

A U.S. General has made a shocking revelation saying that early on President Obama knew that ISIS was growing but made a “willful decision” to let the radical terror group grow unmolested and even supplied arms that he knew would go to ISIS.

Former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael Flynn told al Jazeera that Obama knew he was helping ISIS to grow but decided to do it anyway. Flynn spoke of the decision to arm opposition to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad that the administration decided to continue despite warnings that those weapons would fall into the hands of radicals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How is this not treason?

At the very least giving weapons to moderates knowing they will be transferred to ISIS is a violation of the Luga-Obama Act of 2007, which imposes strict legal controls on where and to whom the US sends weapons!

Clinton Signed NDA Laying Out Criminal Penalties for Mishandling of Classified Info

As the nation’s chief diplomat, Hillary Clinton was responsible for ascertaining whether information in her possession was classified and acknowledged that “negligent handling” of that information could jeopardize national security, according to a copy of an agreement she signed upon taking the job.

A day after assuming office as secretary of state, Clinton signed a Sensitive Compartmented Information Nondisclosure Agreement that laid out criminal penalties for “any unauthorized disclosure” of classified information.

Experts have guessed that Clinton signed such an agreement, but a copy of her specific contract, obtained by the Competitive Enterprise Institute through an open records request and shared with the Washington Free Beacon, reveals for the first time the exact language of the NDA.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Hillary KNEW that what she was doing was a violation of the law!

Remember China-gate from 1996? Then President Bill Clinton authorized the sale of sensitive US technology to China and Chinese money was donated to his re-election campaign!

Was Hillary playing the same game, selling US secrets delivered via a private server with weaker security than the Ashley Madison website in exchange for "donations" to her "charitable" foundation?

It is time to look past the server itself to what may be the biggest spy scandal in US history!

Obama notifies Congress of intention to sign TPP agreement

US President Barack Obama on Thursday notified Congress that he intended to sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), hours after the long-awaited text of the trade deal was released.

The release of the text came exactly one month after trade ministers of the United States and 11 other Pacific Rim countries reached an agreement on the TPP in Atlanta, the US state of Georgia.

That would kick off a 90-day congressional review period that must elapse before the president formally signs the trade agreement, according to the trade promotion authority (TPA) legislation passed earlier this year.

In a letter sent to the Congress, Obama said he was pleased to notify lawmakers of his intention to enter into the TPP agreement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congress has to ratify treaties. Any "agreement" between Obama and any other government is not legally binding on We The People.

Nasrallah: Hezbollah to Continue Supporting Palestinian Cause

Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah reiterated support for the cause of the Palestinian people and their uprising against the Israeli regime, and said Tel Aviv is afraid of the emergence of a new Intifada.
"Hezbollah will continue to support the Palestinian nation against the occupying regime (of Israel) as Tel Aviv dreads the Palestinian Intifada," the Lebanese Hezbollah leader said, addressing the Lebanese nation in Beirut on Friday. He strongly criticized the Arab rulers for not supporting the Palestinian cause, and said, "The Israeli regime is the frontline for the colonial powers; it represents the colonial project that targets the whole region." The extent of the danger Israel poses to the region is now decreased, he said, but the regime is still considered a threat to the stability in the Middle East. In relevant remarks in mid-October, Nasrallah said that Palestine is the "Central battle" in the region.

U.S. Journalists Who Instantly Exonerated Their Government of the Kunduz Hospital Attack, Declaring it an “Accident”

The point here isn’t that it’s been definitively proven that the U.S. attack was deliberate. What exactly happened here and why won’t be known, as MSF itself has said, until there is a full-scale, truly independent investigation — precisely what the U.S. government is steadfastly blocking. But MSF’s Stokes is absolutely correct to say that all of the evidence that is known means that “mistake” is “quite hard to believe at this stage” as an explanation and that the compilation of all known evidence “points to … a war crime.”

Nonetheless, many U.S. journalists immediately, repeatedly and authoritatively declared this to have been an “accident” or a “mistake” despite not having the slightest idea whether that was true, and worse, in the face of substantial evidence that it was false.

Mainstream media now openly admitting that gun control advocates want mass gun confiscation by force

y Alex Thomas

(INTELLIHUB) — In the last month numerous liberal news outlets and mainstream media commentators have either directly admitted that they want mass gun confiscation in America or implied it by promoting Australia’s response to a mass shooting in the 1990’s.

In true Orwellian doublespeak, these same news outlets also routinely ridicule the pro gun side for even insinuating that liberals consider confiscation a legitimate option.

Related: CNN and liberal professor push for outright gun ban and mass confiscation “once and for all”

Now, in what appears to be out of simple frustration, a mainstream media reporter has penned an op-ed in which he openly admits that liberal gun control advocates absolutely do favor mass confiscation by government force but are simply too afraid to totally admit this fact. (Although as I have shown, numerous gun grabbers have selectively let the cat out of the bag)

For WHO,Red Meat Is A Red Herring

Humans are omnivores. They have to eat flesh to get Vitamin B-12.They have to eat fruits and veggies to get Vitamin C.People who eat properly ie meat and veggies are bigger, stronger and smarter than malnourished people. Don't fall for this BS!

An increasingly important “sister institution” of the UN system is the highly politicized “World Health Department” also known as the World Health Organization (WHO) which, as part of a new scare campaign, has issued new declarations that sausages, hot dogs, bratwurst, and ham are carcinogenic, and that all red meat is “probably carcinogenic.”

This new anti-meat campaign, however, is not about your health, but about the “health of the planet.” WHO’s attack on meat is happening just before the Paris gathering on global warming and is a part of the slow motion socialist revolution poorly disguised as “climate change awareness.” As usual, socialist policies today are justified as “necessity for future generations.”

Saudis Bring Oil War To Europe With Largest Price Discount Since 2009

With oil exports to Europe having slipped from 13% of Saudi's total to just 10% in the last six months, The FT reports, the de facto leader of OPEC has slashed its Official Selling Price (OSP) to Europe in an effort to regain market share. The China-Russia-Mongolia Trilateral Gains Steam

As Diplomat authors have reported, trilateralism is all the rage these days. Ministerial-level dialogues sprinkle the sidelines of multilateral gatherings, and often set the tone for the more comprehensive leaders’ summits. For the past two weeks all eyes focused on the highly anticipated China-Japan-South Korea leaders’ summit, which concluded this past weekend. But here’s another big trilateral that you probably haven’t heard much about: China-Mongolia-Russia.

As Russian President Vladimir Putin has remarked himself, cooperation between the three countries only makes sense given their geographic proximity. After their first trilateral summit in September 2014, the three leaders met once more in July 2015. The three countries’ three foreign ministers have met twice in the same time frame.

Traditional plant breeding and genetically modifying organisms have NOTHING to do with each other.

Yes, the true geniuses who bred the food plants that we eat from wild ancestors worked with nature to selectively breed and improve plant stock. They did it in a conservative way that followed the natural evolutionary capacities inherent in plants and animals.

They did not randomly force foreign genes into plants in order to produce corn that produces pesticide or plants that are resistant to toxic Monsanto products.

How Only the Donald Defeats Demonic, Democrat Dames

Republicans are hopeless. But as this ineffectual lot keeps repeating, Donald Trump is not one of them. Mr. Trump can and has to be able to say what his Republican rivals have proven incapable of articulating.

When questioned about abortion, Trump needs to tell his detractors the following:

Women have the right to screw and scrape out their insides to their heart’s content.

Trojans, Trivora or a termination: An Americans woman has the right to purchase contraception, abortifacients and abortions, provided … she pays for them.

For like herself, America is packed with many other sovereign individuals. Some of these individuals do not approve of the products and procedures mentioned. Americans who oppose contraception, abortifacients and abortion must be similarly respected in their rights of self-ownership.

Taxpayers who oppose these products and procedures have an equal right to dispense what is theirs—their property—in accordance with the dictates of their conscience.

The right/left paradigm in American politics is dead; it is all about the money now, and anything, or anyone, which stands in the way of that money being made will be terminated with extreme prejudice; CAP's donors will just not allow that to happen.

And as a side note, in a Clinton Presidency, expect to see the full-throttled enabling of a wretchedly apartheid, genocidal, self-proclaimed theocracy, with nuclear weapons, which is what Israel has become in the 21st century.

Trapped in a Poison Fog

The world is in the trouble it’s in because people believe what they read in the newspapers and see on TV.

They don’t realize that the lying faces of the insincere announcers and the false invective of cynical editors and writers are all financed by the same manipulators who cause all these colossal wars and produce all these overpriced poisons because there are no better ways to make astronomically large amounts of money.

Anybody who is not an idiot can realize that the world can’t afford what these psychopaths are trying to sell.

FLASHBACK - US Bombing Plants In Aleppo

The power plant was destroyed to cut water even more to Aleppo - the lift stations bringing water from the Euphrates are affected. The U.S. borrowed this very Israeli (and ISIS) tactic to create more chaos in the city. That and the limited supply of chlorine mean water-borne illnesses are almost guaranteed to explode in Aleppo. The purpose of this undisputable war crime is to create a flood of refugees from all areas of Aleppo. A secondary purpose might be to affect the Syrian Army and allies fighting in the area - they are also dependent on city water.

The flood of refugees leaving (which has so far failed to transpire) are suppose to curtail Russian efforts to attack supply lines or mask the movement of rebels. The refugees fleeing to camps on the Turkish border would be flooding the very roads and towns along the supply routes with a 'moderate rebel' presence.

Ben Carson on questions about his past: 'Bunch of lies'

Ben Carson slammed CNN's reporting into his past as a "bunch of lies" in a combative interview on Friday, strengthening his defense of his violent past that the media have thus far been unable to corroborate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ben Carson has played the role of tough kid from rough neighborhood, claiming to have been a violent youth who was saved by his religion. The problem is that nobody can verify any of it, and Carson has launched an attack on the very same media that has been promoting him over Donald Trump, calling them liars rather than referring them to witnesses who could corroborate his story.

Tell us more about the pyramids of Egypt being used to store grain, Ben. We LOVE that one! :)

Nov 06 08:54

Lawmakers this week criticized the Transportation Security Administration for its failure to perform in undercover tests of its airport security measures. Legislators on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee pressed officials from TSA on its miserable record in those tests, as well as a Government Accountability Office report's finding that "TSA has not consistently evaluated the overall effectiveness of new technologies before adopting them."

A report leaked this past summer says that TSA agents failed to identify bombs and weapons 95 percent of the time, including once when a scanner missed a bomb taped to the middle of an undercover tester's back. These recent numbers are worse than they were in 2007, when TSA agents failed to find bombs 75 percent of the time, according to congressional overseers.

"Consistently evaluating the overall effectiveness of new technologies" sounds nice and all, but there's a lot of money to be made in the security theater business.

Carson's theory: Egypt's pyramids stored grain

Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson believes the Egyptian pyramids were used for grain.

In a college commencement speech 17 years ago, Carson told the graduates of Andrews University in Michigan that it is his "personal" belief that the pyramids were built as storehouses for grain and not, as archaeologists say, for the interment of dead pharaohs.

Sports Military Worship Propaganda Exposed – Senate Report Admits Millions Spent On Psyop

By Bernie Suarez

A Senate oversight report just blew the lid on the U.S. military worship ceremonies we all see at sporting events all over the United States. We see this military worship all the time at college and professional sports events. These staged ceremonies are designed to psyop young men and women into joining the military. They are also designed to sell war and make young adults think that the road to honor goes through a military lifestyle...

Mexico’s Supreme Court rules that smoking pot is a fundamental human right

Mexico's Supreme Court ruled 4-to-1 Wednesday that outlawing the possession and use of the marijuana plant represents a violation of fundamental human rights. While the ruling does not mean that marijuana is now legal in the country — it only applies to the four plaintiffs in this specific case — it gives a tremendous amount of political space for lawmakers to introduce marijuana reform bills at the state and federal level in Mexico.

The US military doled out over $2.75 billion to US law enforcement through its National Guard counter drug programs between the years 2004 and 2015, but didn’t keep sufficient track of how that money was spent or what good it achieved, according to an October 2015 Government Accountability Office report. The Guard’s assistance to domestic law enforcement includes surveillance, intelligence and analysis, marijuana crop eradication, and school-based anti-drug education, among other efforts.

The GAO found that while DoD has performance measures, it does not apply them to information collected from National Guard funded programs. Therefore it seems as if DoD does not measure whether the money they are spending does any good. Body counts in the northeast United States from the explosion in heroin addiction rates suggest that, like other drug war efforts, it has not.

Webmaster's Commentary:

People in private industry would be SACKED for such lousy performance; at least, that is what one would initially think.

However, please remember; the largest pusher of drugs in this country is its government. The alleged "War on Drugs" is about eradicating the drugs the government cannot control.

And if you are having a hard time believing that, you need to do two things.

First, let's ask why, when the Taliban in Afghanistan nearly destroyed the opium poppy crop business, production has soared during the US/NATO occupation?

And accident or coincidence?!? At 66, I do not have the intellectual luxury of believing in "coincidence".

And the second thing you need to do is record the HBO movie "Kill the Messenger", about the ultimate assassination of Gary Webb, who broke the story about governmental drug running.

For telling the truth, he got his career smashed, lost his family, and ultimately, allegedly, "committed suicide" by shooting himself ...twice.

Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz, 52, was mourned as a fallen hero in Lake County, Illinois after he was gunned down by ‘armed suspects’ on the eve of his retirement.

But investigators revealed this week that the 30-year veteran shot himself in the chest and staged the crime scene because he feared his corruption was about to be exposed.

Gliniewicz was facing allegations he embezzled a 'five figure sum' from the Explorers youth training scheme and instead spent it on vacations, mortgage payments and adult websites.

The countries we have destroyed have no recourse to restitution.

Our European vassals will have to provide from their own pockets for the refugees that Washington’s wars are sending to them.

As for Americans, they seem to have settled into acquiescence to the brutal police/spy state that has crowded out freedom and democracy.

But Americans could do something about it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This alleged "war on terror" is a war against both the citizens of this country, both economic and emotional, and a war against countries which have the rotten back luck of living over, or adjacent to, resources, the US government wishes to expropriate for the benefit of large American corporations.

How to we, members of the Peace Movement, in the US make a difference?!? By educating the people we know with what we know. Don't hit them with everything at once, because it can be overwhelming.

But if there was ever a time to start, it is now, because those who continue to be in power, throughout multiple administrations in this government are collectively salivating for a war against both Russia and China, to destroy both the ruble and the yuan.

And right now, the US military does not have the money, the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against either country, let alone a military joining of forces against the US.

But the mantra, for all of those who value the good left in this country, must stand together as one and say to the government: 'STOP LYING!! We have had it, and if you think we are too stupid not to understand that underlying agenda that colors the US government narrative, you have obviously been asleep at the switch for the last 30 years."

Hummelstown, PA – Another cop has been cleared of charges for cold-blooded murder.

Officer Lisa Mearkle of the Hummelstown Borough Police Department was found not guilty of criminal homicide for the shooting death of 59-year-old David Kassick on February 2. Video has just been released from the Taser camera which was deployed before she fired two bullets into the man’s back, as he lay face down on the ground in full compliance with her orders.

The video of this cold-blooded killing by a maniacal cop, shown in full detail, somehow did not convince a jury that it was homicide. He had been chased down, shocked repeatedly with a Taser, fallen down face first in the snow, displayed his hands clearly at the officer’s orders, and then shot in the back twice.

Officer Mearkle had attempted to pull Kassick over for an expired inspection sticker, but Kassick fled to his family home, where he tried to run into the backyard. That’s where Mearkle ended his life.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...for an expired inspection sticker..."

The officers were on their way to see a performance of Les Misérables when the train operator frantically asked for assistance. “Are there any police officers on the train?!” the men heard over the intercom.

“We thought maybe someone needed help,” Samuel Kvarzell, 25, a rookie with the Stockholm Police Department told theNew York Post.

The Scandinavian patrolmen ran towards the front of the subway to help and encountered a brutal fight between two homeless men that had broken out.

One of the men was reportedly attacking the other, as the injured victim made very little effort to defend himself.

After separating the aggressor off of the victim, the officers kept the aggressor detained in an arm lock while attempting to calm him using non-threatening voices and a soothing hand on the back.

“Take it easy, just relax, everything is going to be okay,” one of the officers tells the detained man while he frantically screamed that he couldn’t breathe.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I sure wish that these remarkable Swedish cops could be teaching seminars in policing in this country, so that Americans could actually feel that they could trust police if they have to make a 911 call.

Right now, making a 911 call, for many of this country's citizens, feels like an invitation to death, or serious injury, at the hands of American police, and for good reason.

Google gives new meaning to 'Orwellian' - Becomes Ministry of Truth

"THE internet is stuffed with garbage. Anti-vaccination websites make the front page of Google, and fact-free 'news' stories spread like wildfire. Google has devised a fix -- rank websites according to their truthfulness." (Story by Jon Rappoport, republished from ActivistPost.com)

Great idea, right?

The author of the article lets the cat out of the bag right away with his comment about "anti-vaccination" websites.

Israel wants $5 billion a year in military aid from the US

US officials: Israel wants up to $5 billion in annual military aid
Reuters 4 Nov — Israel has made an initial request for its annual U.S. defense aid to increase to as much as $5 billion when its current aid package, worth an average $3 billion a year, expires in 2017, US congressional sources said on Wednesday. Israel wants $5 billion per year in military aid for 10 years, for a total of $50 billion, the congressional aides said. It has been signaling that it wants more money to counter threats it says will arise as a result of the international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, which Israel’s government has staunchly opposed.

I have stood with Israel my entire career. As a senator, I fought to get Magen David Adom accepted to the International Red Cross when other nations tried to exclude the organization. Webmaster's Commentary:

If at first you don't succeed, lie, lie again. Flight 9268 was reported by radar to be traveling at 400 knots when the incident occurred. From the smoke plume in this video, it is obvious the plane in this video is flying much slower than that. and in this age of digital cameras and cell phones with automatic focus, the fact that this video is so blurry tells you someone blurred it intentionally to hide something, such as this not actually being a passenger jet at all.

There is, of course, the possibility that Canada’s PM would get a warmer reception to his knock-knock than occurred Monday, when Badawi’s supporters were confronted by closed doors, which stayed that way. Doug Casey: This is why you should be skeptical of government-funded ‘science’

It’s yet another sign of how degraded U.S. society has become, that something so ridiculous can be passed off as news. So, at best (assuming people responded accurately and honestly) the survey might show us a correlation. But even a high-school student should be able to tell you that correlation does not establish causality. The typical science journalist may be even more ignorant and misinformed than the typical financial journalist, which is saying something. It’s why I read the papers mostly for entertainment.

L: The study failed to consider, for example, if those who reported eating more meat happen to include more people who ride motorcycles, party hardy, or engage in other higher-risk behaviors, which could easily be true of steak lovers. Under the plan, banks will collect gold for up to 15 years and pay 2.25-2.50 percent interest per year. This is higher than previous rates of around one percent. UK's internet spy law: How £250m costs could balloon to £2 BILLION

The Home Office has revealed some of the costs associated with its proposed Investigatory Powers law – but the final price tag could arguably run into billions of pounds.

At present, Secretary of State Theresa May's department has estimated a price tag of £247m over a 10-year-period to cover the costs of communications data and oversight.

Government estimates for previous abandoned bids to legislate for greater surveillance of Brits' online activity were far higher. For example, Labour's Interception Modernisation Programme carried a £2bn price tag, while May's Communications Data Bill would have lifted an estimated £1.8bn from the public purse.

However, the current £247m does not take into account the potential costs for interception of bulk personal data and hacking into computer systems. Costs associated with those "policy provisions" are marked as "N/K" – not known.

Leaked Emails From Pro-Clinton Group Reveal Censorship of Staff on Israel, AIPAC Pandering, Warped Militarism

LEAKED INTERNAL EMAILS from the powerful Democratic think tank Center for American Progress (CAP) shed light on several public controversies involving the organization, particularly in regard to its positioning on Israel. They reveal the lengths to which the group has gone in order to placate AIPAC and long-time Clinton operative and Israel activist Ann Lewis — including censoring its own writers on the topic of Israel.

The emails also provide crucial context for understanding CAP’s controversial decision to host an event next week for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. That event, billed by CAP as “A Conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” will feature CAP President Neera Tanden and Netanyahu together in a Q&A session as they explore “ways to strengthen the partnership between Israel and the United States.” That a group whose core mission is loyalty to the White House and the Democratic Party would roll out the red carpet for a hostile Obama nemesis is bizarre, for reasons the Huffington Post laid out when it reported on the controversy provoked by CAP’s invitation.
