THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"When all government, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the Center of all Power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated." -- Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the Declaration of Independence, 3rd US President Source: (1821) in a letter to Gideon Granger.

Economy “Surprises” to Downside, Growth Near Zero. Atlanta Fed GDPNow Forecast just about Nailed it

Lousy consumer spending & the “weather.” Inflation hits Fed target.

The US economy surprised economists to the downside once again, a terrible habit it has picked up over the past years. GDP adjusted for inflation inched up only 0.7% “compound annual rate of change.” This means that if the economy keeps growing at this rate for four quarters in a row, economic growth for the entire year would only be 0.7%.

Susan Rice: Unmasked Warmonger (Video)

One of the foremost agents of the Deep State that operated in the White House during the Obama years was his former national security advisor, Susan Rice. While the latest news cycle about Rice was in relation to the wiretapping of Trump and his team, that is the least of her crimes. Her warmongering influence extends from our intervention in Libya all the way to African genocide in the 90s.

In the following video, Right Wing News takes an in-depth look at the warmongering antics of Susan Rice. From lying to cover for Obama and Hillary in the Benghazi incident to setting in motion events that led to the invasion of the Congo which left millions of Africans dead, her list of crimes is long indeed. And throughout her storied career, she has also acquired a net worth of almost 40 million dollars. Clearly in her case, crime does pay. But will she ever answer for them?

America’s War against the People of Korea: The Historical Record of US War Crimes

An armistice is an agreement by the warring parties to stop fighting. It does signify the end of war.

What underlies the 1953 Armistice Agreement is that one of the warring parties, namely the US has consistently threatened to wage war on the DPRK for the last 60 years.

The US has on countless occasions violated the Armistice Agreement. It has remained on a war footing. Casually ignored by the Western media and the international community, the US has actively deployed nuclear weapons targeted at North Korea for more than half a century in violation of article 13b) of the Armistice agreement.

The armistice remains in force. The US is still at war with Korea. It is not a peace treaty, a peace agreement was never signed.

The Shame of Killing Innocent People

The U.S. Congress could put an end to US complicity in the crimes against humanity being committed by military forces in Yemen. Congress could insist that the US stop supplying the Saudi led coalition with weapons, stop helping Saudi jets to refuel, end diplomatic cover for Saudi Arabia, and stop providing the Saudis with intelligence support. And perhaps the US Congress would move in this direction if elected representatives believed that their constituents care deeply about these issues. In today’s political climate, public pressure has become vital.

Historian Howard Zinn famously said, in 1993, "There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people for a purpose which is unattainable. If the purpose is to stop terrorism, even the supporters of the bombing say it won’t work; if the purpose is to gain respect for the United States, the result is the opposite…" And if the purpose is to raise the profits of major military contractors and weapon peddlers?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Many years ago, the late comedian (and sometimes prophet) George Carlin made the observation that the US loves war, and killing brown people, because we are good at it.

Scripts from George Carlin HBO Specials.

The Saudi war against Yemen has been a case study in war crimes, with which the US government is comfortably complicit, under both President Obama's and President Trump's watch.

1. The Saudis have been murdering and maiming Yemeni children with wild abandon.Images: Yemeni children murdered and maimed by Saudi bombing raids

2. Because Saudis have closed all the ports in Yemen to food aid, Yemeni children are dying slow and horrific deaths from malnutrition:Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, courtesy of Saudi port blockades

3. the Saudi military is using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen, which have caused a massive spike in cancers; still births; and massive birth defects in Yemeni children.Images: Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in YemenImages: Yemeni children with severe birth defects from exposure to depleted uranium (warning: horrifically graphic images)

So President Trump, a word, please; it seems as though, in your perspective, some suffering is more equal than others, when geopolitical capital can be gained from it, as in the alleged gassing of Syrian civilians.

And yet, you, as a father, and grandfather have absolutely nothing to say about the suffering endured by Yemeni children from the US-enabled Saudi genocide in Yemen, because US weapons manufacturers are "making a killing, literally, and figuratively here?!?

Sir, if that is, in fact, the case, it is painfully obvious to both thinking Americans, and people around the world, that you, as have most of your predecessors, have had your conscience surgically removed before taking the Oath of Office.

US approves another hundreds-million-dollar arms sale to Israel

The United States has approved a proposal to sell Israel more weapons, including naval guns and technical support worth an estimated $440 million.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement on Friday that the State Department agreed to allow the possible sale of 13 76mm naval guns to Tel Aviv.

The Pentagon agency said it had notified the Congress about the State Department’s decision

“The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to US national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability," said the agency.

It also said that the equipment "will improve Israel’s capability to meet current and future threats in the defense of its borders and territorial waters.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

WHAT borders?!? Israel refuses to declare where, precisely, its borders are, in order for the Zionists to fulfill their dream of "Eretz Israel", which will need to "munch" territory from neighboring territories to achieve their goals of enlarging the country so that it runs from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Microsoft needs to stop blocking updates on Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs

Microsoft's decision to block security and non-security updates on customer PCs running Windows 7 or 8.1 (or the server variants) with "next-generation silicon" is as customer unfriendly as it gets.

What makes this all the more problematic is the fact that Microsoft's detection routines, those that identify the processor of a PC to determine whether updates will be blocked or allowed, is flawed.

We already talked about some "old generation" processors being caught in the crossfire before. Windows users reported that PCs with AMD Carrizo processors were blocked from installing updates even though that should not have happened according to Microsoft.

It was clear then that Microsoft screwed up the identification of processors. Now, a story on Infoworld highlights that AMD Carrizo systems are not the only ones caught in the crossfire.

O (n^2) Canada! Code bugs knacker buses, TV, broadband, phone lines

Canadians have had a mildly frustrating week as a pair of IT problems derailed broadband connections, blacked out TVs, cut off phone lines, and halted buses in America's hat.

Nationwide telco provider Shaw said a botched software update was behind an outage that left thousands of customers across the country without home internet, phone, or television service for several hours on Thursday. "A significant number of Shaw customers across Western Canada [were] impacted," said the comms giant, which has more than two million subscribers and employs 15,000 people.

The meltdown, which began early in the afternoon, was fully remedied by about 7PM Mountain time.

New MacOS Malware, Signed With Legit Apple ID, Found Spying On HTTPS Traffic

Many people believe that they are much less likely to be bothered by malware if they use a Mac computer, but is it really true? Unfortunately, No.

Today, Malware Research team at CheckPoint have discovered a new piece of fully-undetectable Mac malware, which according to them, affects all versions of Mac OS X, has zero detections on VirusTotal and is "signed with a valid developer certificate (authenticated by Apple)."

Dubbed DOK, the malware is being distributed via a coordinated email phishing campaign and, according to the researchers, is the first major scale malware to target macOS users.

Italian police say Amazon has evaded 130 million euros of taxes

Milan tax police have told Amazon they believes the world's largest online retailer has evaded around 130 million euros ($142 million) of taxes in Italy, a source close to the matter said on Friday.

The allegedly unpaid taxes refer to the period between 2011 and 2015, when Amazon (AMZN.O) made revenues of around 2.5 billion euros in Italy, the source said.

The tax police's findings have been handed to Milan prosecutors, the source added.

Amazon issued a statement denying it had evaded any taxes, and said its profits in Italy, on which taxes are paid, had been low due to its considerable investments in the country.

Will Trump Release The Missing JFK Files? (Video)

In October this year, President Trump will have to make a decision. Not a particularly important decision in the eyes of many, but one that many historians and skeptics are salivating over. Unless President Trump blocks it, the National Archives will release 3,600 never-before-seen files relating to the JFK assassination and possibly the full unsealing of another 35,000 assassination related documents.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at what information does files could potentially reveal. Speculation is that the documents will show exactly how much the intelligence agencies knew about Oswald prior to the assassination, as well as his mysterious trip to Mexico City. As of now, the intelligence agencies have given no indication that they plan to petition to block the release of the documents. But hey, it’s still early

Russian Navy to Receive Biggest and Most Unique Nuclear Submarine in the World

The nuclear submarine Project 09852 (Belgorod) will become the largest submarine in the Russian Navy, Russian newspaper Izvestia reported. Its size will outperform the heavy nuclear-powered Typhoon missile cruiser Project 941, currently the largest nuclear submarine according to the Guinness World Records.

Project 09852 is designed to carry out research missions. It will carry uninhabited deep-sea vehicles and bathyscaphes, as well as special scientific equipment. It will be engaged in studying the bottom of the Russian Arctic shelf, searching for minerals at great depths, and also laying underwater communications.

The submarine is being developed based on the unfinished Antey-class strike missile carrier Project 949A. These boats were built in the USSR as a response to the deployment of US aircraft carrier compounds in the global ocean. Twenty “Granit” supersonic anti-ship cruise missile launchers were aboard.

Beneath the waves: Has a sunken Russian ship been sabotaged?

Turkish divers could have found secret reconnaissance equipment and encryption codes on board The Liman after it mysteriously plummeted towards the sea bed in Turkish waters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a valid concern. As I pointed out in "Rivero challenges the NSA", the most difficult part of breaking an enemy code is to figure out the methodology. The Allies in WW2 were not able to break the German Enigma until they captured an actual machine. Once they had that, building another machine to brute force the keys was relatively easy (not to disrespect the work of the people at Bletchley Park, of course).

If I were Russia, I would be deploying updated encryption systems with altered methodologies right now, and in an age of computer codes and software, it is much easier than it would have been for Germany to re-engineer the Enigma and ship out new hardware.

Carbon dioxide “pollutant” myth totally DEBUNKED in must-see science video

As part of the new Health Ranger Science effort at public education on crucial science issues of our time, I’ve just released this truly must-see video that totally debunks the false narrative of carbon dioxide as a “pollutant.”

As you’ll see explained in the video below, climate change alarmists use visual trickery and deceit to make gullible people falsely believe that CO2 is rising to unprecedented, alarming levels across our planet. In truth, CO2 is at nearly the lowest point ever recorded in the history of the planet.

In fact, using data from the NOAA and even the IPCC, it turns out that CO2 levels were as much as 15 times higher than 400 ppm in the past, and plants across the planet today are starving for CO2, the “molecule of life” for plant life across the planet (including forests, food crops and jungles).

Israel Announces Plan for 15,000 More Settlement Homes in East Jerusalem

The Israeli Housing Ministry today announced plans to build 25,000 homes across metro Jerusalem, and within this announcement were 15,000 new settlement homes within occupied East Jerusalem areas, a massive expansion of settlement in the area.

Israeli officials don’t present expansions in the East Jerusalem settlements as “settlement” expansion, however, as they insist the area, occupied since 1967, is part of the “eternal” capital of Israel, and will never be given back to the Palestinians at any rate.

The latest move sparked a lot of international criticism, with Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat declaring the move an attempt at “deliberate sabotage” of the peace process, and noting that all settlement construction in the occupied territories is illegal under international law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I mentioned on this blog, years ago, that if the Palestinian leadership didn't get its act together, and present themselves as the unified voice of the Palestinian people, the land they would get for an independent Palestine wouldn't even be the size of Lichtenstein.

I hate having been right on this, but it is apparently the case.

And please remember; Zionist Israelis see their country as the original "Eretz Israel", stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates, which means a number of neighboring countries will have to give up some of their territory, to make that happen.
