"... Secret CIA operations constitute the usually unseen efforts to shore up unjust, unpopular, minority governments, always with the hope that overt military intervention ... will not be necessary. The more successful CIA operations are, the more remote overt intervention becomes, and the more remote become reforms. Latin America in the 1960s is all the proof one needs." -- Philip Agee, CIA Diary, p561

Trump Admin Unilaterally Imposes UN Sanctions on Iran

On Monday, the Trump administration announced new sanctions on Iran under the guise of enforcing stipulations of the 2015 nuclear deal, an agreement the US withdrew from in 2018. The US is taking these measures unilaterally, with virtually no international support. The move is not only rejected by the UN Security Council but also by key European allies like the UK, Germany, and France.

President Trump signed an executive order on Monday that is meant to replace a UN arms embargo on Iran that will expire in October. The executive order allows the US to impose sanctions on any individual or entity that sells weapons to Iran.

Iran Offers Full Prisoner Exchange With US

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif made a video address to the Council of Foreign Relations in New York, during which he proposed a full exchange of prisoners held by the US and Iranian governments.

It’s unclear exactly how many prisoners this would cover, but Zarif said the offer was to exchange all prisoners, adding that “there are Iranians in US prisoners who are only there because they refuse to betray their country.”

Iran has some US citizens in prison on espionage charges, while mostly the Iranians held by the US are facing allegations of violating sanctions. The US has often demanded the unconditional release of all Americans held.

Exchanges are not unheard of. In December 2018 the US and Iran traded a pair of prisoners, and in June Iran released a Navy veteran who had contracted Covid-19, in return for the US allowing an Iranian-American doctor to visit Iran.

Provocative US Air and Sea Maneuvers at Russia’s Borders

This past weekend, Russian state television on two major channels devoted substantial news segments of their week in review programs to the ongoing game of chicken that the U.S. is carrying on in the air and on the seas at Russia’s borders: on the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Barents and Okhotsk seas in the Far East. From the North, from the South, from the East and West US war planes are simultaneously being directed against Russian defenses to probe their effectiveness and score political points.

World Leaders Call on the UK to Free Julian Assange

A group of over 160 current and former politicians endorsed a letter that demands the UK government release WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange immediately. The publisher is currently fighting extradition to the US at Old Bailey court in London and could face up to 175 years in prison for exposing US war crimes.

The group includes heads of state, congressional members, diplomats, and lawmakers from all across the globe. Notable endorsees include the President of Argentina Alberto Fernandez, former President of Brazil Lula da Silva, former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Luis Zapatero, and UK PM Jeremy Corbyn. The only US politicians on the list are former Senator Mike Gravel from Alaska and former Rep. Ron Paul from Texas.

The letter is addressed to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other UK officials and was written by the group Lawyers for Assange.

Sep 22 07:18

Despite being spied on and having their privacy invaded by the UC Global firm that targeted Assange, reporters from major US news outlets have said nothing in protest. Meanwhile, new evidence of that firm’s CIA links has emerged.
A Spanish security firm apparently contracted by US intelligence to carry out a campaign of black operations against Julian Assange and his associates spied on several US reporters including Ellen Nakashima, the top national security reporter of the Washington Post, and Lowell Bergman, a New York Times and PBS veteran.

Secret U.S. government documents reveal that JPMorgan Chase, HSBC and other big banks have defied money laundering crackdowns by moving staggering sums of illicit cash for shadowy characters and criminal networks that have spread chaos and undermined democracy around the world.

The records show that five global banks — JPMorgan, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and Bank of New York Mellon — kept profiting from powerful and dangerous players even after U.S. authorities fined these financial institutions for earlier failures to stem flows of dirty money.

U.S. agencies responsible for enforcing money laundering laws rarely prosecute megabanks that break the law, and the actions authorities do take barely ripple the flood of plundered money that washes through the international financial system.

New UN report offers grim reminder of US complicity in the brutal war in Yemen

If you want a graphic example of how U.S. intervention can very often make the situation worse, look no further the civil war in Yemen, a conflict that has long since been designated by the United Nations as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.

A military campaign Saudi Arabia confidently predicted back in 2015 would be over in weeks has instead dragged out into what can only be referred to as one, long, never-ending nightmare. With the war entering its fifth year this coming March, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s first overseas misadventure (there have been too many to count) has produced a tragedy of such great proportions that Yemen — the poorest country in the Arab world — now resembles a house of real-life horrors.

The United States is concerned about Iran’s cooperation with North Korea and will do whatever it can to prevent it, Elliott Abrams, Washington’s envoy on Iran, said on Monday.

He spoke shortly after the Trump administration slapped new sanctions on Iran over its nuclear and weapons programs.

US Space Force deploys to vast new frontier: Arabian Desert

The newly formed U.S. Space Force is deploying troops to a vast new frontier: the Arabian Peninsula.

Space Force now has a squadron of 20 airmen stationed at Qatar’s Al-Udeid Air Base in its first foreign deployment. The force, pushed by President Donald Trump, represents the sixth branch of the U.S. military and the first new military service since the creation of the Air Force in 1947.

It has provoked skepticism in Congress, satire on Netflix, and, with its uncannily similar logo, “Star Trek” jokes about intergalactic battles.

Future wars may be waged in outer space, but the Arabian Desert already saw what military experts dub the world’s first “space war” — the 1991 Desert Storm operation to drive Iraqi forces from Kuwait. Today, the U.S. faces new threats in the region from Iran’s missile program and efforts to jam, hack and blind satellites.

Gaza faces "humanitarian disaster" amid acute shortage of medical supplies in handling COVID-19: health ministry

The health ministry in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that Gaza would soon witness a "humanitarian disaster" amid an acute shortage of medical supplies and equipment in handling the COVID-19 outbreak.

Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry in Gaza, told Xinhua that the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for the novel coronavirus can only enough for two days, which "would cause a catastrophe."

The densely populated coastal enclave needs to double the PCR tests to combat the virus and avoid its spread, al-Qedra said.

In addition, medical supplies for patients with cancer, heart and kidney conditions who are suffering from weak immunity are in dire shortage, the spokesman added.

"If one of them is infected with the virus, they will face an inevitable death, especially in the light of the deterioration of the health sector," al-Qedra warned.

Why It Is Likelier that the U.S. Government Had Alexei Navalny Poisoned. “Immense Propaganda Asset to US”

The poisoning of Alexei Navalny has created intensified support by pro-U.S., and especially pro-NATO, officials in the European Union, to block the nearly completed NordStream 2 natural-gas pipeline from Russia to Germany, and to import into the EU, instead, far costlier U.S. LNG, liquefied natural gas. A very real possibility thus now exists that the poisoning of Navalny will turn out to have been worth many billions of dollars to U.S. frackers, by causing the nearly-completed NordStream 2 to be turned to waste so that fracked U.S. LNG will sell in Europe. The present article will explore the relative likelihood that the poisoning of Navalny isn’t merely coincidentally perfectly timed in order to achieve that objective for the benefit of America’s gas-industry, but that it probably was actually planned and perpetrated in order to achieve this.

Israel’s Knesset Votes Down Bill Guaranteeing Equality for Palestinian-Israelis, 21% of Population

The London pan-Arab daily al-Quds al-Arabi (Arab Jerusalem) reports that the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, voted down a proposed basic law introduced by Yousef Jabareen on behalf of the Joint List. It aimed at altering the constitutional basis of the Israeli state, requiring democratic principles, cultural pluralism and complete equality for all citizen on both civil and national levels.

What follows is a paraphrase of the article with a few comments by me. One comment by me to begin with: Israel has all along had a choice between being a democratic state for all its citizens or being an ethno-nationalist oligarchy with second-class citizens at home and Apartheid subjects in the West Bank. This is not the first Knesset vote to demonstrate forcefully that the Israeli majority wants the latter.

The US’ Latest Anti-Iranian Sanctions Will Worsen the Trade War with China

The US’ latest anti-Iranian sanctions won’t change much when it comes to the Islamic Republic’s present economic predicament but will almost certainly provoke a worsening of the so-called “trade war” with China since the real intent seems to be to target the countless companies that are poised to participate in those two countries’ reported $400 billion strategic partnership agreement by replicating the model of “maximum pressure” that’s been experimented against Huawei over the past year.

What the Flint Water Crisis Meant for My Family

In 2015, my life fell apart.

The first signs of trouble came from my son Jaylon. He was five years old and, although he struggled with ADHD, perfectly healthy. But then he started acting out in ways he never had before. His school didn’t know how to handle it, so they started suspending him. By the time he was six, they had suspended him 70 times.

Jaylon wasn’t the only child struggling. Many other children in Flint were acting out too, and no one knew why.

Now we do: It was lead poisoning.

LISTEN: Nancy Pelosi Says ‘We Can Impeach’ Trump ‘Every Day of the Week for Anything He Does’

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told Kara Swisher of the New York Times in an interview released Monday that the House of Representatives can impeach President Donald Trump “every day of the week for anything he does.”

Swisher, a tech journalist with left-wing views, was pushing Pelosi to commit to doing more to fight back against President Trump, the Republican, and the conservative agenda.

The following exchange ensued:

Democrats are largely powerless to stop GOP from confirming court choice

Senate Democrats and their liberal allies confronted the reality Monday that they have no path to blocking President Donald Trump's pending Supreme Court nomination other than a political pressure campaign that peels away a minimum of four GOP votes.

Deep into their sixth year in the minority, Democrats can use some procedural tactics that might briefly slow the confirmation process, but if at least 50 Republicans approve of Trump's pick to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, that nominee is certain to be seated.

Publicly, Democrats vowed to fight with every fiber in the Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings and on the Senate floor as the liberal alliance of outside interest groups began planning how to mount a campaign that would try to turn Republicans against the nominee. But the process ahead leaves no room for error, and even a perfectly executed pressure campaign could fall short.

A Peace Deal Like No Other

It is odd that the White House is gloating over its claimed peace agreement in the Middle East at the same time as one of the signatories is bombing Syria, Lebanon and Gaza. It all suggests that peace in the region will exclude designated enemies and the friends of those enemies, since the ties among the three parties – Israel, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain – is transparently in part an offensive alliance directed against Iran and its friends, to include Syria and Lebanon. A significant amount of the horse trading that preceded the gala signing ceremony in the White House involved who would get what advanced American weapons down the road. The UAE wants F-35 fighter bombers while Israel is already asking for $8 billion for more top-level weapons from the U.S. taxpayer to maintain its “qualitative edge” over its new found friends.

The Syria Boondoggle: Who’s Ready to Die in Vain?

Mark my words: an American soldier will soon die for next to nothing in Syria. Here’s a mission that takes all the absurdity of America’s post-9/11 wars of choice to their logical conclusion. As such, this muddled and aimless operation must stand forever tall in the pantheon of U.S. foreign policy folly – right up there with the three Seminole Wars (1817-18, 1835-42, 1855-58, 1,608 dead troops); Nicaraguan "Banana Wars" (1910, 1912-25, 1927-33, 159 dead); the Russian Civil War’s "Siberia” intervention (1918-20, 424 dead); "Desert One" botched Iran hostage rescue (1980, 8 dead); Beirut "peacekeeping" (1982-84, 265 dead); the Grenada invasion (1983, 19 dead); and Somalia (1992-94, 43 dead). So, in Trump’s defense – and that of the Washington crowd that’s repeatedly pressured him to stay the Syria course – his latest folly is in good company.

Democrats are threatening to impeach Trump if he fills the Supreme Court vacancy. But he must – our republic is at mortal risk

The president is constitutionally obliged to nominate a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and he needs to do it quickly, so the court can be ready to counter all the cheating that the left will try on this November.

So the Democrats are now thinking of trying to impeach President Donald Trump again, if he tries to push through a Supreme Court nominee this year. Given that he is obliged to fill such vacancies under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution, that’s like trying to impeach someone for doing their job properly.

But Nasty Nancy can’t help but threaten him anyway. “We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,” Pushy Pelosi said on TV yesterday. I suspect the president will hardly be quivering in the Oval Office.

Let’s have a little history lesson, because I want to understand all this correctly.

These aren’t exclusive to our world, however, as we have spotted some form of aurora on every planet, and on some moons, in our solar system apart from Mercury.

Poisonous Gas Not Tear Gas

For many decades governments around the world, especially in the USA, have fired tens of thousands of rounds of CS gas at their own people in an attempt to control “civil unrest”. The media falsely labels CS gas as “tear gas” rather than calling it what it is, poisonous gas. The original tear gas was relatively benign, irritating the eyes and mucus tissues but was not poisonous. CS gas, on the other hand, will kill you if you are exposed to enough of it.

CS gas is so toxic that it has been banned under international conventions governing the laws of war. In other words the USA, or any government signitory to these pacts, is not permitted to use CS gas in wartime against soldiers or civilians. To do so would be a War Crime or Crime Against Humanity. Yet these same governments commit Crimes Against Humanity almost every day, not hesitating to use poisonous CS gas against their own people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CS is what was used against the Branch Davideans at Waco.

Last Best Chance to Capture Supreme Court

President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are on the cusp of making history.

With Trump having named two justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, they have an opening to elevate a third justice to fill the seat of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, thereby securing the constitutionalism of the court for a generation.

Trump and McConnell need only persuade 50 of the 53 Senate Republicans to vote to confirm the nominee Trump says he will send up at week’s end, following the days of mourning for Ginsburg.

Two Republican senators, however, Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, have said that they will not vote to confirm a justice nominated this close to a presidential election.

Tucker Carlson says alleged Nashville coronavirus data 'cover-up,' other obfuscations 'unforgivable'

Tucker Carlson, the host of "Tucker Carlson Tonight," on Thursday called an alleged cover-up in the Nashville mayor’s office over how many coronavirus cases are linked to bars and restaurants and other believed instances of politicians obfuscating about the data “unforgivable.”

FOX 17 in Nashville reported this week on emails between Democratic Mayor John Cooper’s office and the city's health department “that discussed the fact that only a very low number cases have been traced to bars and restaurants in the city.”

As of June 30, bars and restaurants had led to just 22 virus cases compared to more than 1,000 in nursing homes in Nashville, private data showed, according to Carlson.

“Numbers like these could be great news for the city of Nashville. Bars and restaurants have been suffering there for months under crushing COVID restrictions," he said.

‘Obama was a schoolboy when we started hypersonic experiments,’ Russian missile guru rebuffs Trump’s claims of stealing US tech

The creator of Russia’s Avangard hypersonic glider has ridiculed Donald Trump for claiming Moscow stole the technology from the Obama administration, saying that Russian hypersonic experiments started long before that presidency.

“Barack Obama became US president in 2009. Our experiments with these types of things began in the Soviet times, when Obama was still a teenager,” Gerbert Yefremov, a renowned engineer who played a key role in designing Russia’s newest missile systems, including the Avangard glide vehicle, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“He was still a schoolboy when we were already experimenting with hypersonic tech,” the 87-year-old designer added.

Ice to see you: Saturn’s moon Enceladus spotted regenerating fresh coat of crystals in newly released PHOTOS

Thanks to enhanced imaging analysis techniques, researchers have discovered that the ice on Saturn’s moon Enceladus is fresh and regenerates, providing new insights into processes in our solar system.

Just a small shift in wavelength, from optical to infrared, reveals an astounding sight on the moon; glistening, fresh ice caps, which contrast with the pockmarked and scarred surface, riddled with chasms, gorges and other geographic blemishes.

A team led by Rozenn Robidel of the University of Nantes in France analyzed images, captured by the Cassini space probe during 23 close flybys, and found that some process keeps regenerating the ice across the lunar surface.

Despite the fact that the Cassini mission ended in September 2017, the data is still being pored over by experts, yielding startling, and beautiful, discoveries. Furthermore, when the team looked even closer at the data, they noticed that the ice itself was crystalline and not amorphous as they had expected.

Kennedy’s U.S.-Russia Joint Space Vision Must Be Revived

September 20th marked the anniversary of the last speech John F Kennedy delivered to the United Nations’ General Assembly. This event bears more relevance upon our present crisis than most people could possibly imagine. This is true not only because it is wise to pay homage to great ideas of the past which lesser souls allowed to slip away and get buried under the sands of time, but also because history provides many of the solutions to seemingly impossible problems in our own time.

During his short speech, Kennedy outlined the very same fundamental obstacles to survival faced by our own world 57 years later: The specter of nuclear annihilation looming overhead, poverty and the evils of colonialism staining humanity on earth, and the dominance of destructive modes of thinking which have prevented honest dialogue between the west and east who have so many common interests and yet have been blocked from acting upon them for want of creativity, understanding and faith.

Down The 1619 Project's Memory Hole

The history of the American Revolution isn’t the only thing the New York Times is revising through its 1619 Project.

The “paper of record” has also taken to quietly altering the published text of the project itself after one of its claims came under intense criticism.

Crazy College COVID Rules: Online-Only Student Who's Never On-Campus Suspended Indefinitely For Attending Party

The party was consistent with New York City's Phase 4 COVID-19 guidelines, which allow events of up to 50 people. Many attendees went mask-less, but Andy says he didn't stand in close proximity to anyone other than his roommates—who are also students—and they left after a short while.

But unbeknownst to Andy - whose name has been changed for this article to protect his privacy - someone at the party posted a video of the event on social media. Andy never saw this video, but he knows that he was visible in it. The video was reported to NYU administrators via the university's COVID-19 compliance system. On Sunday, August 23—a day after the party—NYU Director of Student Conduct Craig Jolley sent an email to Andy accusing him of "threatening the health and safety of the NYU Community."

By 5:00 p.m. on Monday, NYU had suspended him indefinitely:

To return to campus in 2021, Andy will need to write a reflection paper and beg for readmission.

This is slightly down from the prior weekend which included 42 people shot, 12 of which died of their wounds.

The windy city has seen shocking numbers nearly every weekend over the past months, also earlier this month over a bloody Labor Day holiday weekend which saw a whopping 51 shot, including 10 deaths.

"Free Assange" - Ron Paul Rages 'This Is A War On Truth'

It is dangerous to reveal the truth about the illegal and immoral things our government does with our money and in our name, and the war on journalists who dare reveal such truths is very much a bipartisan affair. Just ask Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who was relentlessly pursued first by the Obama Administration and now by the Trump Administration for the “crime” of reporting on the crimes perpetrated by the United States government.

Afghanistan: Over 100 Killed in Deadliest Clashes Since Intra-Afghan Talks Began

The Afghan government said on Monday that at least 57 Afghan soldiers were killed in overnight clashes with the Taliban, the bloodiest day of fighting since intra-Afghan talks began in Doha earlier this month.

In Stunning Reversal, CDC Says It Published New Guidance On Risks Of 'Airborne' COVID-19 "In Error"

After publishing guidance warning about the serious risks of "airborne" infection associated with SARS-CoV-2, the CDC just seriously harmed its own credibility by acknowledging Monday that it had posted the new guidance "in error", following a pressure campaign from the WHO.

Scientists have been gathering evidence that the novel coronavirus plaguing the world spreads via aerosol particles practically since it first emerged, and back in July, a group of 200 scientists sent a letter to the WHO urging the international public health agency to change its guidance on the spread of the disease. The problem scientists argued is that the WHO hasn't updated its views to incorporate new research showing that aerosol spread is a much greater threat than touching contaminated surfaces, or via large droplets spread by close contact between individuals.

Yet, the WHO has refused these overtures, and this week it successfully convinced the CDC to do the same.

"A Black Box Of Unclear Motives" - World's Oldest Central Bank Blasted After Redacting BlackRock Bond-Buying Report

Ahead of today's Riksbank rate decision, Swedish authorities are facing consternation from many market participants over the lack of transparency about its newly unveiled corporate-bond buying scheme.

While Swedish officials are likely unphased by 'outsiders' questioning their decisions (after their controversial - yet successful - strategy in dealing with COVID), Bloomberg reports that initial enthusiasm by market participants as the world's oldest central bank brought in consultants from BlackRock to help it move ahead with a controversial corporate bond purchase program.

The Riksbank’s decision to start buying corporate bonds this month is turning into one of its most controversial policy moves ever.

‘Tell my mom I love her’: Salt Lake City police release body cam footage of cops shooting 13yo autistic boy 11 times

Police in Salt Lake City, Utah, have released harrowing bodycam footage that shows officers chasing and eventually shooting a 13-year-old boy 11 times, after being called to the scene by the child’s mother.

On September 4, police were called by the suspect’s mother, who said her son, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, was experiencing a “violent psychological issue.”

When officers arrived on the scene, the woman, identified as Golda Barton, told officers her son did not like police and might be armed with an imitation firearm. Footage released on Monday shows what happened next.

When Newt Gingrich told the truth about George Soros, Fox News demanded SILENCE… because “Soros” is the name that may not be spoken

In a very bizarre exchange on Fox News’ Outnumbered, guest Newt Gingrich was essentially censored for bringing up the name of Hungarian-American philanthropist George Soros.

Gingrich, the former House Speaker, mentioned during his appearance how billionaire Soros has been using his substantial wealth to influence local district attorney races throughout the country, who have then been incredibly soft on the leftist thugs behind the violence the nation is seeing.

Gingrich stated: “The Number 1 problem in almost all these cities is George Soros-elected, left-wing anti-police, pro-criminal district attorneys who refuse to keep people locked up,” adding that just the day before, someone wanted for two murders in New York City was put back on the streets.

President Trump’s Comments About “Counting on the Federal Court System” on November 3rd Are Freaking Democrats Out Especially Since Ginsburg’s Death

Anti-Christian BIGOTS: ABC fears ‘devout Catholic’ will replace Ginsburg

Fresh from lobbying liberal Republicans in the Senate to block any Supreme Court nominee President Trump put forward, Sunday’s Good Morning America featured ABC flaunting their anti-Christian bigotry with White House correspondent Rachel Scott fearing the President would fill Justice Ginsburg’s vacant seat with a “devout Catholic” in “conservative” Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

Sep 22 06:03

How Democrats plan to steal the 2020 election

As usual with the left, it’s all shameless straight-up projection – accusing conservatives of the precise sins and crimes they themselves commit. Remember, it was the Democrats who bitterly complained in 2016 that Trump would not accept that election’s results – and then, when they lost, spent the next four years hysterically and illegally attempting to overturn that election, ripping the country apart in the process.

But now it’s 2020, and the left is in total war mode, deploying its entire arsenal of weapons, from vote fraud of every sort, to blaming every societal problem – especially those they themselves created – on Trump, to Big Tech censorship of conservative media and purposeful manipulation of millions of “undecided” votes, to brazenly portraying Donald Trump as another Hitler.
