The Media Response to the Growing Influence of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

Eight countries – Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Russia – have allowed their publicly-owned broadcasting stations to air the full spectrum of evidence challenging the truth of the official account of 9/11.

This more open approach taken in the international media – I could also have included the Japanese media – might be a sign that worldwide public and corporate media organizations are positioning themselves, and preparing their audiences, for a possible revelation of the truth of the claim that forces within the US government were complicit in the attacks – a revelation that would call into question the publicly given rationale for the military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

George Washington on defending the US Constitution: guard against impostures of pretended patriotism

*hyperlinks live at source*

After 45 years of service to the newly created United States, George Washington published a message to the American people; the summation of what he most wanted to contribute to Americans' understanding of defending our Constitutional government.

Washington's Farewell Address is considered so important that it is read in its entirety every year in the Senate, and has been read in one or both chambers of Congress every year since 1862.

The following three paragraphs give us context and his advice: guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.

A quote, famously attributed to Rothschild agent Col. Edward House, but rarely understood except by "one man in a million" envisages people as collateral on the national debt:

"[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a National system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging.

By such methodology, we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will affect our security as a charge back for our fiat paper currency. Every American will be forced to register or suffer not being able to work and earn a living.

Bishop Suspect In Newton Mail Bomb Attempt

The female professor accused of gunning down three colleagues at the University of Alabama on Friday, was once a suspect in the attempted mail bombing of a Harvard professor, the Boston Globe reports.

Back in 1993 Dr. Paul Rosenberg opened a package containing two pipe bombs in his Newton home. Because Rosenberg cut open the box rather than lifting its flaps, the bombs did not detonate. Nobody was ever arrested.

Sources tell the Boston Globe that Amy Bishop, a Harvard medical student at the time, was questioned in the bombing attempt. According to the Globe sources, Rosenberg may have been concerned she was about to get a bad review for her doctorate work.

Lebanon’s next war may also be Syria’s

Media reports in recent days have painted dire scenarios for what is, supposedly, the inevitable conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Of particular note are persistent indicators that the next round, if or when it comes, will very likely involve Syria as well.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Here is a scenario.

Israel attacks Lebanon and Syria.

Israel screams for help against the evil aggressors, then when the US sends YOUR kids to die in battle for Israel, Israel launches an attack against Iran.

Russia and China come in on Iran's side.

The US realizes it lacks the conventional forces to successfully wage a new world war and resorts to its nuclear arsenal against Russia and China.

China and Russia retaliate with their nuclear weapons.

The US, Russia, and China are blown back to the stone age.
Israel, laughing at how easy it was to trick the goyim into killing each other off, is now able to use their own nuclear arsenal to blackmail what is left of the world into submission.

Climate change doubters say UN data has been tampered to grossly overstate case that the Earth is warming up

But some researchers, including a former IPCC report author, say that widespread and systematic tampering of the data mean the case for global warming has been grossly overstated.

”Law is irrelevant to those who consider themselves above the law. Morality and conscience are of no concern to those who consider themselves The Chosen—by a god of their own choosing. Such a nationalist ideology has no place in a system of nation states dedicated to the rule of law.”

Harvard Hometown Plans Coercive Taxes, Veganism to Stop Climate 'Emergency'

Going green will not be optional in Cambridge, Mass., if the Cambridge Climate Congress has its way. It will be mandatory.

There will be congestion pricing to reduce car travel. Curbside parking will be eliminated. There will be a carbon tax "of some kind," not to mention taxes on plastic and paper bags. And the Massachusetts city, home of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will advocate vegetarianism and veganism, complete with "Meatless or Vegan Mondays."

Those are just some of the proposals put forth by the Congress, which was created in May 2009 to respond to the "climate emergency" plaguing Cambridge. Once the Congress settles on its recommendations, they will submitted to the City Council.

Government climbdown over David Kelly post-mortem report

The doctors then wrote to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) asking to see the material. But they were told their request was being treated under the terms of the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act which contains several caveats giving the Government the right to refuse access to some official papers.

On Friday The Mail on Sunday contacted the MoJ to ask why the doctors’ request was being dealt with under the FoI Act and within hours lawyers acting for the doctors were told the department had changed its mind and would accept the request under normal terms.

African crops yield another catastrophe for the IPCC

Ever more question marks have been raised in recent weeks over the reputations of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and of its chairman, Dr Rajendra Pachauri. But the latest example to emerge is arguably the most bizarre and scandalous of all. It centres on a very specific scare story which was included in the IPCC’s 2007 report, although it was completely at odds with the scientific evidence – including that produced by the British expert in charge of the relevant section of the report. Even more tellingly, however, this particular claim has repeatedly been championed by Dr Pachauri himself.

CLIMATEGATE - IPCC wrong again on two counts- Dutch Sea Levels & African Crops

One of the most widely quoted and most alarmist passages in the main 2007 report was a warning that, by 2020, global warming could reduce crop yields in some countries in Africa by 50 per cent

The origin of this claim was a report written for a Canadian advocacy group by Ali Agoumi, a Moroccan academic who draws part of his current income from advising on how to make applications for "carbon credits"

As his primary sources he cited reports for three North African governments. But none of these remotely supported what he wrote.

India’s ruling coalition refrained from singling out the perpetrators of yesterday’s bombing in the western city of Pune that killed nine people as the main opposition party demanded a suspension of talks with Pakistan.

It appears that some elements in the Indian government don't want these peace talks to go forward.

One has to wonder if the timing of the bombing was intended to prevent these very critical talks between two nuclear-armed countries from taking place.

Biofuels Algae to solve the Pentagon's jet fuel problem

The brains trust of the Pentagon says it is just months away from producing a jet fuel from algae for the same cost as its fossil-fuel equivalent.

The claim, which comes from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa) that helped to develop the internet and satellite navigation systems, has taken industry insiders by surprise. A cheap, low-carbon fuel would not only help the US military, the nation's single largest consumer of energy, to wean itself off its oil addiction, but would also hold the promise of low-carbon driving and flying for all.

It’s hard, sitting on the other side of the office table from which Naomi Chazan is picking at her modest hummus and salad snack lunch, to believe that the amiable 63-year-old university professor with a self-deprecating sense of humour has suddenly become the most discussed, not to say demonised, woman in Israel.

Feb 14 07:25

But here, in the so-called Jewish State I see hatred and intolerance. Hatred towards anyone that might be a little different in any way. Hatred towards the Ethiopian immigrants because they are not white, hatred towards the Arab population because they are not Jewish, hatred towards the left because they refuse to support the evil policies of zionism.
I see a Jewish State void of ALL Jewish values.

The new McCarthyism sweeping Israel

To disagree with the state is to 'delegitimise' the state: that is the increasingly strident response of the country's political and military establishment to those who dare to criticise its conduct.

America's deadly robots rewrite the rules

Consider: for the first time ever, a civilian intelligence agency is manipulating robots from halfway around the world in a program of extrajudicial executions in a country with which Washington is not at war.

Consider, too: the drone wars were initiated under the presidency of George Bush. But it is the Democrat Barack Obama who has given them flight and stumped up sufficient funding to spark serious debate on the end of the ''Top Gun'' era of the fighter-pilot.

And there is this: despite decades of American disquiet about assassinations abroad and a shrill Republican critique of him as a security wuss, the professorial Obama is the new killer on the block, authorising more drone attacks in the first year of his term in office than Bush did in his entire presidency.

Ex-IDF chief: Israel can't handle nuclear Iran alone

Israel may lack the military means for successful preemptive strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, former Chief of Staff Dan Halutz told Channel 2 news on Saturday.

"I think that the State of Israel should not take it upon itself to be the flag-bearer of the entire Western world in the face of the Iranian threat," Halutz, a former air force commander, told Channel Two.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I find the timing of Halutz' statement interesting, in light of the fact that the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mike Mullen, will be in Tel Aviv tomorrow to meet with his Israeli counterpart, Gabi Ashkenazi, Ehud Barak, and others.

What the Netanyahu government really wants is - yet again, as happened in Iraq - for the US to attack Iran to "neutralize" yet another of Israel's alleged existential threats in the Middle East.

I am hoping the US government won't take the bait on this one; but unfortunately, there are far too many people in the hall of power in Washington who see a war as a way to get out of the economic mess we're in.

There are two major reasons why we are not already attacking Iran. First, thanks to credible info on the net, the government hasn't been able to "sell" this war to the American people.

Secondly, with armed forces stretched in Iraq and Afghanistan, even with a huge contingent of hired mercenaries (which actually outnumber our forces right now in Afghanistan), we just don't have the troop strength right now to pull this off, no matter how superior our "whiz-bang" high tech weapons may be.

Any coming war against Iran has the capacity of going global, with Russia coming in on the side of Iran.

Please don't forget: Russia has nukes.

The CIA... Why Do We Call It An Intelligence Agency?

It seems like an intelligence agency, especially one that we give billions of tax dollars a year to and who scores billions more in the heroin and drug trade, should have had the resources to connect the dots on the latest terrorist plot...The Nigerian fruit of the loom attack. Is is just me or does anyone else wonder what in the hell these CIA agents do all day.

U.S. army deplores civilian casualties in Missan operation – spokesman

Miles added that the objective of the mission was to carry out arrest warrants against a number of wanted persons in the villages that belong to Ali al-Gharbi district, (100 km north of Amara), and the raiding force managed to arrest 22 wanted persons and seize a cache of munitions.

The Missan provincial council had convened an extraordinary session on Friday after 10 people were killed, five wounded and 12 others detained. The council decided that an ad hoc commission would be set up to investigate the incident.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder how many of the killed or wounded were women and kids.

Pakistan court strikes down president's order

Pakistan's Supreme Court suspended the presidential appointment of two top judges in an emergency ruling late Saturday that could cause a destabilizing clash between the judiciary and the unpopular, Western-backed government.

As local media reported the country was headed into a political and judicial crisis following the decision, President Asif Ali Zardari's spokesman issued a statement dismissing rumors the government was planning to declare a state of emergency.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the Zardari government declares a state of emergency, what happens next?

If this is a replay of November, 2007, what we can well expect is something like the following, as reported 4 November 2007 in:

"Authorities rounded up opposition leaders Sunday after military ruler Gen. Pervez Musharraf suspended Pakistan's constitution, replaced the chief judge and blacked out independent TV outlets, saying the country must fight rising Islamic extremism."

And where would such a move put the US and the "war on terror" in Pakistan at this time in 2010??

That is anyone's guess, but the Pakistani military has always played a huge role in this kind of situation.

The question is, which elements of the Pakistani military leadership will prevail in such a scenario; those firmly in the US orbit, or those who want to see the US completely out of their country?

9/11 Panel Suspected Deception by Pentagon

Allegations Brought to Inspectors General

By Dan Eggen
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, August 2, 2006

Some staff members and commissioners of the Sept. 11 panel concluded that the Pentagon's initial story of how it reacted to the 2001 terrorist attacks may have been part of a deliberate effort to mislead the commission and the public rather than a reflection of the fog of events on that day, according to sources involved in the debate.

New blow to election credibility

Any lingering hope that Iraq can hold a credible and peaceful election suffered a further blow yesterday when the leading secular nationalist bloc suspended its participation.

The Iraqiya list, led by the former president Ayad Allawi, announced a three-day halt to its campaign after an appeals court upheld an exclusion order preventing Saleh al Mutlaq and Dhafer al Ani, two of its senior candidates, from standing on the grounds that they were pro-Baathist.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The already-rigged elections in Iraq, which are being slanted toward a complete Shiite majority, may well cause riots, if not a resurgent civil war.

This, of course, means that US military may wind up staying considerably longer than the current SOFA agreement with the Iraqi government allows.

E. coli fears spark 4.9 million pound meat recall

The recall includes approximately an additional 4.9 million pounds of products by Huntington Meat Packing Inc. under the Huntington, Imperial Meat Co. and El Rancho brands, the Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Friday.

The affected beef and veal was sold to distribution centers, restaurants and hotels in California between Jan 4. and Jan. 22, 2010. Each box bears the establishment number "EST. 17967" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the USDA can do no better than this, in terms of letting contaminated meat into the food chain, they might as well collectively resign and go home.

Romans 13 Invoked at Los Angeles Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast 2010

February 13, 2010

LOS ANGELES – Before a crowd of about 1200 faithful, two prominent evangelical Christian leaders invoked Romans Chapter 13 at the 37th Annual Los Angeles Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast held today at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Keith Phillips, Founder and President of World Impact, Inc., a Christian missionary organization which ministers to under-privileged children in 11 American cities, managed to work the following propaganda into his introductory remarks:

”Romans Chapter 13 commands Christians to pray for those in authority over them.”

Dennis Kucinich declares emperor has no clothes: US government assassinations of citizens unlawful

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

Congressman Dennis Kucinich has used the opening of US admission of extrajudicial assassinations to request US Attorney General Eric Holder take two commendable and necessary steps:

1.Declare the acts as obviously unconstitutional (in text to explain their legal status).
2.Request disclosure of all information of Blackwater/Xe and any other company’s involvement in extrajudicial assassinations.

Mr. Kucinich summarizes the tyrannical and Orwellian assassination program:

The government becomes policeman, prosecutor, judge, jury, and executioner all in one. The suspension of basic constitutional protections for U.S. citizens puts in jeopardy our Constitution and rule of law.

It publishes flagrant lies, exaggerations and half-truths which are often presented as “academic and objective facts.” However, in truth, many of these findings are actually fabrications. This recently came to light with the publication, in June 2009, of Hunting Evil, by British Author Guy Walters, in which he characterized Simon Wiesenthal as “a liar-and a bad one at that.”

TSA in Philly Must Stand for Truly Stupid A******s

Original post by Dave Lindorff, at
    The Public Record

So there you have it. Cut your hair in Philadelphia and to the alert agents of the TSA and the equally alert Philadelphia Police you are a potentially radicalized terrorist. (Geez, and I already went through that garbage back in the ‘60s, when my long hair used to routinely get me harassed by police. So I guess it’s “long hair and beard = Commie” and “short hair and beard = Jihadi”). Carry language flash cards, or perhaps a book with an incindiary title, and you’re a potential terrorist. Get the wrong TSA agent, and you may even end up having some terribly incriminating substance planted in your bag. And try to prove misbehavior or worse by the TSA and they’ll casually destroy the evidence....

Air passengers who refuse a full body scan to be barred from their flights

Original post in the Daily Mail Reporter,/small>

The exemption of under 18s from being scanned, which was in place during the trial of the machines in Manchester, has also been removed.... The officer operating the machine never sees the image, and the employee viewing the scan must be in another room. The scan cannot be saved, printed or transmitted. Passengers can also demand that only officers of their sex see their image. While only a small minority of travellers are expected to be asked to undergo the scans, those who decline will not be allowed to board their flight.

China holds trillions of dollars of American debt, making them our primary creditor. What would happen if China sold off US treasuries and all risky US assets, including asset backed and corporate? In short, an economic catastrophe! US Launches Massive Attack On Taliban Despite Olympic Truce

In ancient Greece, the Olympics festival were a sacred time of truce. For the duration of the games, the conflicts between cities such as Sparta and Athens were resolved within the Stadiums, not on the battlefields. When the founder of the modern Olympics, Pierre De Coubertin, organized the 1896 Olympics in Athens he had the very same intention.

Pierre De Coubertin re-originated the idea that while the Olympics can instill a sense of national pride, the games’ goal must be to promote cooperation between the world’s nations and promote peace. Well, apparently the Obama administration, and more specifically General McChrystal- the commander in Afghanistan- forgot to read Pierre De Coubertin’s memo.

Climatology expert threatened for climate change views

Recently I interviewed professor Tim Ball on my TV show. Ball is a highly qualified and experienced academic with an expertise in historical climatology who rejects most of the current hysteria around climate change and global warming.

He is a modest, gentle man who, in spite of his enormous work in the field and the chairing of inquiries and commissions into environmental causes, is now libelled, slandered, abused and threatened for his opinions.

“If people knew just how deep and dark this conspiracy is — yes, conspiracy — they’d be amazed,” he explains. “More and more academics are standing up to refute climate-change theories, but it’s still dangerous to do so. It can mean the end of a career, the targeting of someone by well-organized fanatics.”

Israel wields iron fist against nonviolent resisters

Al-Faqeeh's fear was not borne of guilt. The 45-year-old human rights defender was known throughout the community for his support of Palestinian nonviolent popular resistance. In its bid to repress grassroots nonviolent resistance, Israel has arrested activists like Abdullah Abu Rahmeh and Muhammad Khatib of Bilin village, and Jamal Juma' of the Stop The Wall campaign, and countless other Palestinians waging unarmed resistance to the Israeli occupation.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

US Poised to Commit War Crimes in Marjah

"If [NATO forces] don't avoid large scale civilian casualties, given the rhetoric about protecting the population, then no matter how many Taliban are routed, the Marjah mission should be considered a failure," said an analyst with the International Crisis Group.

Today, AFP reported, military helicopters dropped leaflets over Marjah as radio broadcasts "warned residents not to shelter Taliban ahead of a massive assault." Doesn't this suggest that the invading US forces may regard any civilian alleged to be "sheltering Taliban" as a legitimate target, including women and children?

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This offensive is guaranteed to accomplish two outcomes; to kill a lot of innocent non-combatants, and radicalize those left standing into the waiting arms of the Taliban.

Garlic may lower blood pressure just as effectively as drugs, according to researchers.

They found significant blood pressure falls among participants - with the greatest drops among those who had higher blood pressure readings to begin with.

In some cases, the effects were similar to those achieved with common anti-blood pressure drugs, such as beta blockers and ACE inhibitors, said Dr Karin Ried, of Adelaide University in South Australia.

U.S. Envoys Head Out on a Mission to Rally Iran’s Neighbors

Mrs. Clinton will play a central part in the effort, leaving Saturday for Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where she will meet with the Saudi leader, King Abdullah. Officials said she was expected to press the Saudis to reassure China that Saudi Arabia would offset any disruption in oil shipments that could occur if Beijing were to back new United Nations sanctions against Iran.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Secretary of State Clinton; in Asian cultures, particularly the Chinese culture, if the heads of state have made a stand, they will not counter it for love or money, because to do so would mean "losing face", which is critically important in that culture.

Any sanctions, either by the UN or multi-lateral, when the US doesn't get them from the UN, will simply be the prelude to the war which will almost inevitably follow.

    The Chinese leadership understands this.

My visit to Yad Vashem in 2006, during the war with Lebanon, was a painful lesson. The museum of the Shoah is being used to indoctrinate young Israelis, esp. the military, that the whole world is and always has been against the Jews, and that the only solution is for Israelis to be firm and resolute against the whole world, even if it means being inhuman to the Palestinians.

Is the Holocaust Torah rabbi a fraud?

He's been written up in The New York Times. The Christian Science Monitor called him the "Indiana Jones of rabbis." For years, Maryland's Rabbi Menachem Youlus has regaled congregations across the country with his dramatic tales of rescuing and restoring Torah scrolls from the ashes of the Holocaust.

Now, a lengthy piece in the Washington Post has stopped just shy of calling Youlus a fraud -- a significant development not only because it punctures the rabbi's mythic image, but because as a Torah scribe, Youlus is supposed to be above reproach.

Bill Nye the Science Guy: Climate change deniers are ‘unpatriotic’

"There‘s more energy in the atmosphere, and this is stirring things up," Nye continued. "If you want to get serious about it, these guys claiming that the snow in Washington disproves climate change are almost unpatriotic. It's really, they're denying science."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Obama is desperate for his carbon-tax and may use his executive powers to declare one.

This is why FOX News, TIME the New York Times, etc. et. al. are hammering on this ludicrous idea that global warming creates colder weather.

Yes, a warmer planet creates more energetic weather, which is WARMER. Therefore, a warmer world will produce more RAIN, not snow (this its the mechanism behind Monsoons). Snow, especially snow on all 50 states, tells us there is LESS energy available to the weather system. Remember that colder air holds LESS water, and coupled with the cooler temperatures, produces (you guessed it) snow.

That Nye has to rely on "patriotism" to sell his snake oil is the clue he knows he is full of bovine excrement. Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel according to Samuel Johnson. When the TV starts waving the flag to sell you what is supposed to be science, it is no longer science; it is propaganda. Even Democracy Now was peddling this crap yesterday according to reader emails!

Israel is going too far by increasingly assassinating terrorists across the Middle East, a senior Palestinian official in Ramallah told London-based newspaper The Times.

"Israel is overstepping their boundaries," the Palestinian source was quoted as saying. "Other countries don’t want to become a killing field for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

The British newspaper says Israel is currently waging a "covert assassination campaign" across the Mideast. Among other attacks, The Times cites the explosion of a "tourist bus" outside Damascus that killed Iranian officials and Hamas members. In another case, several people were killed after a meeting between Hamas and Hezbollah members in Beirut was also targeted.

The judge ordered the detainee's release, ruling that he could not rely on Hatim's statements because they had been coerced. He also found that the government's informer was "profoundly unreliable."

The rulings in the Hatim case and the 31 others may be a harbinger of trouble for the Obama administration, which is considering plans to indefinitely detain dozens of Guantanamo Bay prisoners without civilian or military trials. Although the detainees will never face a jury, they are entitled to their day in court under the Supreme Court ruling.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is this administration pushing so hard for indefinite detention without civilian or military trials for some of these men?

Because waterboarding wasn't the worst thing that happened to many of them.

And the American public just might be shaken out of its collective stupor on the issue of "enhanced interrogation" as to just how far, in terms of physical and emotional torture, US interrogators went to get these people to confess to a pre-determined outcome.

And of course, this government certainly wouldn't want that to happen.

Obama Poised to Use Executive Power to Muscle Through Domestic Agenda

Faced with a resurgent GOP and a largely stalled legislative agenda, President Obama is planning to use his executive powers to forge ahead with his domestic initiatives, including on energy, the environment and the economy, The New York Times reported.

"We are reviewing a list of presidential executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues," White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told the newspaper.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Anyone care to show me where in the Constitution the President is allowed to bypass the Congress and the Supreme Court by executive fiat?

India restaurant blast kills eight in Pune

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is already being called a terrorist attack. Pakistan will get the blame. I don't think Pakistan did it. But they will get the blame.

    Civis Romanus Sum

“I am a Roman citizen” was a proud boast in the first century A.D. It implied the obligations of citizenship but also guaranteed privileges and rights that would be observed and protected by the Roman government. Among those rights was the ability to demand one’s day in court to produce evidence if accused of a crime. No citizen could be tortured and the death penalty was reserved for cases of treason. Some might recall that the Roman citizen Apostle Paul of Tarsus, placed under arrest in Jerusalem, successfully claimed his right to appeal to the Emperor and ask for trial in Rome. He was duly transported to the capital city to be tried.

It was not so long ago that “I am an American citizen” might have had a similar resonance.

Surveillance Society: Obama Takes a Blue Pencil to the Bill of Rights

No more illegal wiretapping of American citizens . . . .This administration acts like violating civil liberties is the way to enhance our security. It is not.

    -- Barack Obama, Aug. 1, 2007

    On second thought, never mind.

With the world's attention riveted by the earthquake in Haiti, few noticed when, late last month, a federal judge took a pair of sharp scissors to the Bill of Rights. But on Jan. 22, federal district judge Vaughan Walker agreed to dismiss a lawsuit over warrantless wiretapping, as the administration -- the current one -- had requested.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Americans thought they were getting rid of Bush and everything he stood for in the election of 2008; unfortunately, what we have in the Obama presidency is a complete capitulation to everything we hated about the Bush administration.

    The Lindbergh Kidnapping Hoax

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Today is the 75 anniversary of the trial of Bruno Richard Hauptman. Convicted in a trial based on now acknowledged fraudulent evidence, he went to his execution proclaiming his innocence.

Despite official insistence that they did fry the guilty party, evidence continues to surface (including down on Maui where the Lindberghs spent the remainder of their life away from the glare of publicity) revealing a tragic accident followed by a cover-up, followed by an attempted swindle, and a political climate that demanded a live human sacrifice.

USA accidentally admits that Iran has no nuclear weapons program

The White House on Thursday said Iran's declaration of producing first stock of enriched uranium for a research reactor was based "on politics", and "not on physics."

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that Iran had produced the first stock of 20 percent enriched uranium at the Natanz enrichment facility.

But White House spokesman Robert Gibbs cast doubt on Ahmadinejad's announcement.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The White House clearly wants to downplay the fact that Iran is now able to make their own medical isotopes without requiring the assistance of the western nations.

But, and hereby proving that the people at the White House are clueless about nuclear physics, if Iran cannot enrich to 20% for medical isotopes then they are a long way off from the 95% to 98% required for a nuclear weapon!

Can't have it both ways, guys.

The word "petard" comes to mind.

Al-Shabab declares all-out war in Somalia

Al-Shabab fighters have declared an all-out war against the fragile transition Somali government and African Union peacekeeping forces in Mogadishu.

Al-Shabab's declaration of war on Friday comes amid heightened tensions over a possible government campaign against the militia's fighters.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The US and UN wouldn't even be in Somalia, were it not for the potential oil reserves, waiting to be exploited.

Of course, the political situation has to be "stable" and the population "pacified" in order for that to happen.

And generally, those two words in conjunction, "stable" and "pacified", taken together, mean that the Somali people will get little to none of the money generated by the harvesting of these resources once the large corporations come in to develop the oil.

Israel is accused of waging covert war across the Middle East

Israel is waging a covert assassination campaign across the Middle East in an effort to stop its key enemies co-ordinating their activities.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Extrajudicial assassinations are nothing new; Israel, however, has taken this processto a new level.

Of course, the alleged "only democracy in the Middle East couldn't possibly be bothered by a little thing like "due process" before they kill these people!

US forces kill 'eight bystanders' in Iraq

US forces have shot eight Iraqi people, most of them 'innocent bystanders,' in a raid in a village southeast of Baghdad, Iraqi provincial officials say.

Iraqi provincial council officials described the US raid as slaughter and demanded financial compensation for the relatives of the victims.

Maysan province governor Mohammed Shia al-Sudany told state-run television that eight people were killed, one wounded and 12 arrested in the village 75 km (46 miles) north of the provincial capital of Amara.

"What happened this morning was a massacre in every sense of the word. Eight people were killed. Most of them were innocent," Reuters quoted Sudany as saying.

Both parties face voters’ hostility, poll finds

Both Democrats and Republicans up for reelection in the fall face a toxic environment, according to a New York Times/CBS poll.

Three-quarters of the public disapprove of Congress, matching the highest level since the poll began asking the question in 1977. Four out of five voters thought Congress was more interested in serving special interests than the interests of voters.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Voters realize that what they have in congress is the new "taxation without representation", where legislation is perpetually crafted to benefit the huge corporations which donate, overtly and covertly, to keep these people in office, with no benefit whatsoever to We the People.

It will be a very interesting political scenario in November.

Issuer of 79.9% Interest Rate Credit Card Defends Its Product

The sky-high rates may be a sign of things to come in the market for so-called subprime credit cards as issuers who lend to the riskiest of borrowers try to figure out how to stay in business and comply with the new credit card reform law.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is legalized loan-sharking. We need to go back to cash and carry. The banks will hate me for that, of course; their power over the people lies in creating permanent indebtedness, not unlike the abuses of the company towns made famous in songs like "16 tonnes".

Russia temporarily restricts food imports from U.S., Brazil, EU

Tests revealed that some products contained harmful substances, while others were infected with salmonella, bacteria that cause a potentially lethal disease, salmonellosis, Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is it that Russia has a better handle on food chain safety than does the US?!?

I frankly find that more than a little startling.

Obama Making Plans to Use Executive Power

With much of his legislative agenda stalled in Congress, President Obama and his team are preparing an array of actions using his executive power to advance energy, environmental, fiscal and other domestic policy priorities.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

It is how these executive orders may be used which may be very dangerous to the health - and further existence - of this Republic.

Florida Snow Could Mean Snow in All 50 States at Once

There could be snow on the ground in all 50 states simultaneously by the end of the week in what would be a weather oddity.

KOTV reports Patrick Marsh, a student employee at the NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma, is currently trying to collect photos of snow on the ground in all 50 states.

Marsh says Florida is the only state without snow on the ground at this point, but he said two to four inches of snow is forecast today in some parts of the state.

There is currently even snow on some of the mountain tops in Hawaii.

Detroit schools offer class in how to work at Walmart

Four inner-city Detroit high schools have decided that employment with Walmart is an opportunity worth training their students to pursue. The schools have teamed up with the giant merchandiser to offer a for-credit class in job-readiness training that also includes entry-level after-school jobs.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I thought this headline was a joke until I actually read the article.

So this is what passes for education in Detroit?!? That kids can work a register, make change, and stock shelves?!?

The entire Board of Education should be sacked for this.

Anyone remember the great film with Edward James Olmos, "Stand and Deliver", where the teacher he portrayed (based on a true story) got kids who "weren't supposed to go anywhere" in their lives excited about math??

Kids live up - or down - the expectation of their parents and teachers.

That these kids' life expectations should be about being "good little clerks", rather than critical thinkers who have the capacity to move forward, and make something better of themselves, is a complete insult to their intelligence.

    More fraudulent holocaust survivors!

The Claims Conference fired three employees last week who allegedly approved more than 100 fraudulent Holocaust-era claims — filed primarily by Russians now living in Brooklyn — that bilked the German government out of more than $350,000, The Jewish Week has learned.
