Flashback: David Cameron may stall on sale of taxpayers’ stake in RBS

David Cameron today hinted that the Government may delay the sale of the taxpayers' majority stake in Royal Bank of Scotland to give them more of a say in how the bank operates.

The Prime Minister suggested that, rather than simply attempt to sell the taxpayers' 83% stake in the lending giant quickly and at as great a profit as possible, the shareholding could be used as a strategic lever to force it to influence its lending policies.

Third of small businesses rely on overdraft and credit cards as they cannot get a bank loan

One in three small businesses cannot get money from their bank and are being forced to resort to expensive alternatives, a report warns today.

When asked about one of the biggest problems facing their firm, 60 per cent said they ‘blame the banks’ for their ‘inability to borrow and invest'.

The research was conducted by Ebay among some of the 160,000 businesses which trade on the website giant.

Britain’s big four banks - Royal Bank of Scotland, owner of NatWest, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays and Santander - are named and shamed in the report.

So much for Cameron's "strategic lever"

The Fed’s ‘War on Wealth’ and the Risk of Default

Charles Ortel, managing director of Newport Value Partners, tells Accuracy in Media in an exclusive interview that the Federal Reserve plan to buy $600 billion of U.S. Government securities “borders on the criminal” because the impact will be the devaluation of the dollar by 20 percent and the destruction of $10 trillion of household net worth.

“Any potential benefit to GDP and incomes [from the Fed’s action] pales in comparison to the wealth loss (in real terms) and to the damage done to foreign investor confidence,” Ortel says.

Doctors brace for possible 20%+ Medicare pay cuts

Breast cancer surgeon Kathryn Wagner has posted a warning in her waiting room about a different sort of risk to patients' health: She'll stop taking new Medicare cases if Congress allows looming cuts in doctors' pay to go through.

The scheduled cuts — the result of a failed system set up years ago to control costs — have raised alarms that real damage to Medicare could result if the lame-duck Congress winds up in a partisan standoff and fails to act by Dec. 1. That's when an initial 23 percent reduction would hit...

S 510 is hissing in the grass

S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act*, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the US. It is to our food what the bailout was to our economy, only we can live without money.

1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.

2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.

3. It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between individuals) as smuggling into “the United States.”

4. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food.

5. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security.

6. It includes NAIS, an animal traceability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals.

7. It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production - put it in corporate hands and worsen food safety.

8. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy.

9. It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs.

10. It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control.

Our Enemy, the State

If we look beneath the surface of our public affairs, we can discern
one fundamental fact, namely: a great redistribution of power between
society and the State. This is the fact that interests the student
of civilization. He has only a secondary or derived interest in
matters like price-fixing, wage-fixing, inflation, political banking,
"agricultural adjustment," and similar items of State policy that
fill the pages of newspapers and the mouths of publicists and politicians.

All these can be run up under one head. They have an immediate and
temporary importance, and for this reason they monopolize public
attention, but they all come to the same thing; which is, an increase
of State power and a corresponding decrease of social power.

Statins prove useless, ineffective in children with lupus

The push to expand the market for statin drugs has hit a major roadblock. A recent study presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology has revealed that the "preventive" administration of statin drugs does nothing to prevent children with lupus from developing atherosclerosis, a buildup of fatty material in arteries that leads to heart attack and stroke.

It is assumed by many in mainstream medicine that statin drugs are the cure-all for preventing heart disease, with some having even gone so far as to suggest that the cholesterol-lowering drugs be handed out for free with fast food meals. But the new study out of Duke University Medical Center verifies that giving them to kids with lupus provides no benefit.

The disease, caused by low levels of vitamin D generated in the body from sunshine and certain foods, had died out around 80 years ago but is now coming back.

Cases of rickets in children have occurred in northern England and Scotland where there are fewer months of the year with sufficient sunshine to obtain enough vitamin D but now doctors are seeing it on the South coast as well.

It is thought extensive use of sunscreen, children playing more time on computer games and TV rather than playing outside and a poor diet are to blame.

Gary Shilling Sees `Significant' Stock Selloff Within 12 Months

Gary Shilling, who predicted the U.S. housing collapse, says the stock market is overvalued and foresees a “significant” selloff within a year as the Federal Reserve fails to stimulate economic growth.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With all due respect to Schilling, but he is mistaken. The sell-off already occurred with small investors already departing the markets. The market remains high and will be kept high because the banks and investment houses have been buying up stocks under the guise of "plunge protection" and now have significant portions of their balance sheets hostage to the already over-valued stock prices. In the event of a downturn, Goldman Sachs, BofA, even the Fed itself would be instantly insolvent to a degree that even Ben Bernanke's printing presses could not overcome. Bernanke himself stated in a recent op-ed piece that the goal of QE2 is to keep the stock market up, to protect the capital structure of the Wall Street banks and investment houses. All other considerations are secondary.

US asks China to raise yuan by January

The United States has called on China to hasten its efforts toward reforming its currency exchange rate against the dollar by January of next year.

US President Barack Obama, who has repeatedly said the yuan's undervalued currency has hurt the US economy, urged Chinese officials to let the yuan rise against the dollar by the time Chinese President Hu Jintao visits Washington in January, Reuters reported on Saturday.

"President Hu Jintao's visit in January would be an important time to look at exactly what the quantum of progress has been on this," said United States' National Security Advisor Tom Donilan

Wholesale Treason, Why Israel Bought Congress

It isn't a "Jewish thing," AIPAC got rid of 6 Jews who were too "pro-American" for their tastes. Obama is president of extra-judicial killing, says ex-Guantánamo inmate

US PRESIDENT Barack Obama’s attempts to reach out to Muslims have been an "utter failure" given his broken promises on several issues including closing Guantánamo Bay detention facility, former inmate Moazzam Begg has said.

Begg, whose organisation, Cageprisoners, recently expanded its work to include the highlighting of extra-judicial killings, particularly the use of drone strikes, argued little had changed despite Obama’s promises. "We say that Bush was the president of torture, but Obama is the president of extra-judicial killing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The issue of US extrajudicial assassination, now being heard by the US Supreme Court, puts the entire American concept of judicial due process at extreme risk.

If the Supreme Court sides with the administration, it will then be open season on anyone who even has the most peaceful, mildest (and logical) disagreements with the policies of this, or any subsequent, administration.

I absolutely abhor what Anwar al-Awlaki has allegedly said.

But at the same moment, I do have the faith that it is still possible that the US judicial process, fairly applied, can provide justice, even for a person like Awlaki.

This country is either a country of laws, or a country of people: it cannot be both.

Big Cheese vs. Real Cheese: USDA’s bailout of processed cheese belies its eat-less-cheese campaign

As shocking as the news is that the United States Department of Agriculture facilitated a cheese bailout with a $12 million marketing campaign to help sell Domino’s Pizza, I believe there is much more to the New York Times story as it affects average Americans and their ever-expanding waist lines.

The story makes a strong case for the correlation between saturated fat consumption and obesity. Michael Moss nails the issue of the USDA’s two-sided policy: promoting cheese consumption in the form of Domino’s Pizza, while simultaneously working to fight obesity by discouraging some of these very same foods.

But as I see it, cheese in itself is not the problem—the issues are deeper and more complex than that.

N.Korea 'giving nuclear material to Iran, Syria'

North Korea is supplying banned nuclear and ballistic equipment to Iran, Syria and Myanmar using "surreptitious" means to avoid international sanctions, according to a UN report released Friday.

International Atomic Energy Agency director Yukiya Amano said this week that the stand-off with North Korea was now "very bad".

China has been the North's main ally on the international stage and it had blocked the report since it was prepared in May, diplomats said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although the culprit in this report is North Korea, it is an indirect bash at China, conveniently published right after the G-20, during which China and the rest of the world told the US what to do with its "quantitative easing" policy.

And a logical question comes to mind: how did China block the release of this report, if it in fact had been finished in May?!?

Exclusive: Afghanistan - behind enemy lines

The most astonishing thing about this rebel district – and for Nato leaders meeting in Lisbon this week, a deeply troubling one – is that Chak is not in war-torn Helmand or Kandahar but in Wardak province, a scant 40 miles south-west of Kabul.

And yet Abdullah, operating within Katyusha rocket range of the capital – and with a $500,000 bounty on his head – has managed to evade coalition forces for almost four years. If Chak is in any way typical of developments in other rural districts – and Afghanistan has hundreds of isolated valley communities just like this one – then Nato's military strategy could be in serious difficulty.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This war has never been winnable, in a conventional military sense.

The question is, how many more Afghanis, Americans, and NATO troops will have to die before the leadership in Washington or NATO's leadership in Brussels finally understands this?

he Obama administration and its NATO allies will declare late this week that the war in Afghanistan has made sufficient progress to begin turning security control over to its government by spring, months before the administration’s July deadline to start withdrawing U.S. troops, according to U.S. and European officials.

Even as it announces the “transition” process, which will not immediately include troop withdrawals, NATO will also state its intention to keep combat troops in Afghanistan until 2014, a date originally set by Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF true, this report indicates that the "withdrawal" will be just as cosmetic as was the alleged "withdrawal" in Iraq, where Americans are still getting killed and maimed for life.

If this happens, it will simply be a gimmick to trick the American people into thinking that the war is really going to be substantially concluded by the next presidential election, which it will not be.

Palestinians are expressing strong reservations about a US proposal meant to entice Israel to reinstate limits on West Bank settlement construction and revive peace talks.

The proposal calls for a 90-day ban on housing starts in the West Bank, but not in war-won east Jerusalem, the Palestinians would-be capital.

41 Facts About The History Of Central Banks In The United States That Our Children Are No Longer Taught In School

In 1763, Benjamin Franklin was asked by the Bank of England why the colonies were so prosperous, and this was his response….

“That is simple. In the colonies we issue our own money. It is called Colonial Script. We issue it in proper proportion to the demands of trade and industry to make the products pass easily from the producers to the consumers.

In this manner, creating for ourselves our own paper money, we control its purchasing power, and we have no interest to pay to no one.”

The Currency Act of 1764 ordered the American Colonists to stop printing their own money. Colonial script (the money the colonists were using at the time) was to be exchanged at a two-to-one ratio for “notes” from the Bank of England.

Israel will take the money, of course (you really didn't need to hire any teachers this next year anyway, right?), sit down and the table for only three months and say, "Blah blah terror blah blah HAMAS blah blah terror blah blah blah", doing absolutely nothing until the check clears, the F-35sw are delivered, and they can send the bulldozers back in.

Is The American Public About to Toss Israel?

Ever so slowly over the past two decades, and gaining momentum since the April 2002 Israeli destruction of the West Bank town of Jenin, American attitudes toward Israel appear to be changing according to some public opinion analysts. The American Public Opinion and U.S. Foreign Policy
polling unit, that works on behalf of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations has argued that the American opinion shift accelerates with each perceived Israeli outrage such as the saturation bombing of much of south Lebanon and south Beirut during the July 2006 war, the massive civilian

While the now lame duck Israeli Vice President for American Affairs (IVPFAA) Barrack Obama was away all the rats in the US decided to play. Israeli Prime Minister and US Congressional Whip Bibi Netanyahu came to the US and has almost literally occupied it since then the way Israel occupies East Jerusalem. One would think that when Netanyahu speaks of a "united Jerusalem" he doesn't just mean stealing the rest of East Jerusalem but also including in his version of tikkun olem the uniting of Washington and Jerusalem for eternity. He has made considerable progress in this regard this past week. He has managed now to turn much of the United States' government against its president in his meetings with the likes of Cantor, Clinton, Biden and Shumer.

Native Blood: The Myth of Thanksgiving

It is a deep thing that people still celebrate the survival of the early colonists at Plymouth — by giving thanks to the Christian God who supposedly protected and championed the European invasion. The real meaning of all that, then and now, needs to be continually excavated. The myths and lies that surround the past are constantly draped over the horrors and tortures of our present.

Every schoolchild in the U.S. has been taught that the Pilgrims of the Plymouth Colony invited the local Indians to a major harvest feast after surviving their first bitter year in New England. But the real history of Thanksgiving is a story of the murder of indigenous people and the theft of their land by European colonialists–and of the ruthless ways of capitalism.

How to anger the pro-Israel lobby

To their eternal shame, Western churchmen seem to care little about the plight of their brothers and sisters in the Holy Land or the fate of the holy places where Christianity was born.

There are, of course, honourable exceptions. One such is the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Reverend Dr Barry Morgan, whose church has provided the Gazans with a mobile dental unit. Whereupon Mr McIlwaine launched into the familiar anti-Gaza, anti-Hamas rant we're used to hearing from the pro-Israel lobby.

Can the BBC be trusted to handle its own complaints?

The BBC's pro-Zionist bias is well known, especially since Director-General Mark Thompson's refusal in January 2009 to allow a public charity appeal for the people of Gaza following Israel's brutal assault during Operation Cast Lead. Mr Thompson had argued that airing the appeal could compromise BBC impartiality.

It is a pity that the staff at Panorama, the BBC's flagship current affairs programme, did not share their editor-in –chief's concerns when they produced a documentary entitled "Death in the Med", which was aired on 16 August this year. The programme, presented by reporter Jane Corbin, claimed to produce new evidence from both sides of Israel's raid on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla "to piece together the real story for the first time".

Geraldo Rivera Runs 9/11 Truth Segment on World Trade Center 7

The fact that World Trade Center 7 was taken down by controlled demolition has gone mainstream with over 1,200 Architects and Engineers scientifically proving the fact that the building was taken down with explosives.

Geraldo Rivera, who in the past labeled 9/11 truthers as nutcases, seems to have got the message. Not only did Rivera give air time to two people on the front lines of the 9/11 Truth movement, he has aired Larry Silverstein telling the world that they had to, “pull it.”

Both of them were complaining to each other that they thought it was strange they always have to go thru them - and like clockwork they got pulled - had to strip down to their tshirts...and went in the machine...since that was busy they directed me without a thought to the metal detectors. I've been watching this on FB & thought it was much to do about nothing -I was wrong Reddit & I apologize...this whole TSA thing is complete bullshit.

Voters approve Arizona medical marijuana measure

PHOENIX — Arizona voters have approved a measure that will legalize medical marijuana use in the state for people with chronic or debilitating diseases.

Final vote tallies showed Saturday that Proposition 203 won by a tiny margin of just 4,341 votes out of more than 1.67 million votes counted. The measure had started out losing on Election Day by about 7,200 votes, but the gap gradually narrowed in the following 10 days.

"Now begins the very hard work of implementing this program in the way it was envisioned, with very high standards," said Andrew Myers, campaign manager for the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project. "We really believe that we have an opportunity to set an example to the rest of the country on what a good medical marijuana program looks like."

The Baghdad Cathedral Massacre: Zionist Fingerprints All Over
by Jonathan Azaziah
The bloody travesty of humanity that occurred on October 31st, 2010 which left 58 Iraqis dead in the Sayedat al-Najat Cathedral in Baghdad (4) was not the work of Al-Qaeda. The gunmen didn’t belong to Islamic State of Iraq. The homicidal shooters weren’t even Iraqi. The best way to honor the victims of senseless violence is to expose the truth of the attack. And the truth is, this massacre has Zionist fingerprints all over its blood-drenched structure.

The Trial is a novel by Franz Kafka, first published in 1925. One of Kafka’s best-known works, it tells the story of a man arrested and prosecuted by a remote, inaccessible authority, with the nature of his crime never revealed either to him or the reader.

The theme developed a familiar ring to it following the imprisonment of “enemy combatants” in Guantanamo. Echoes of such places come from another Kafka story, “In the Penal Colony”, where everyone is guilty simply because they’re there.

In Motion: The Plot To Destroy The United States

By Gordon Duff * | Sabbah Report

“The 2010 election had one purpose, war with Iran, even if the risk is world conflict and the real loser, no matter what happens on the battlefield is the United States.”

Plans are in motion for a “false flag” attack on America. Iran will be blamed, everyone knows that and Iran will be totally innocent. This is the last thing Iran would ever want. The most likely scenario is a nuclear attack. Two bombs are missing, bombs built by Israel in South Africa and lost long ago. These were supposedly Saddam’s bombs. Now we are told Iran has them. Israel has had them all along and the fear, they may be inside the United States already.

Either pay the national debt with monetary reform or kiss your assets goodbye

In our current debt-based monetary system, we're never going to pay off the national debt.

This article will explain what the debt is, why we can never pay it, and the elegant and obvious solution proposed by Nobel Prize winning economist, Milton Friedman. Please read and understand this crucial information for your responsible citizenry. You literally have nothing more valuable to do.

The US national debt is approaching $12 TRILLION dollars. Of that amount, about 2/3 is owed to whomever among the public purchased US government debt securities (bills up to one year, notes from two to ten years, and bonds of 20 and 30 years) and 1/3 is intragovernmental transfers (US government agency purchases like Social Security surplus and other retirement funds). China and Japan hold about $750 and $650 billion, respectfully.

...The national debt doesn't include TOTAL US debt, which is ~$70 trillion. These numbers explain why our monetary system is called "debt-based."

Bank of America Is in Deep Trouble, and There May Be Financial Disaster on the Horizon

Will Bank of America be the first Wall Street giant to once again point a gun to its own head, telling us it'll crash and burn and take down the financial system if we don’t pony up for another massive bailout?

...There are alternatives. As in 2008, the federal government could put failing financial institutions into receivership. But some experts are saying that if we want to get off the roller coaster of an economy moving from one financial bubble to the next, a bolder approach is necessary: permanent nationalization of banks that can’t survive without public dollars.

...Several states have considered proposals to emulate North Dakota['s state-owned bank], but such a bold move would obviously be all but impossible in Washington. But it shouldn’t be off the table. Banks provide an “intermediary good” to the economy, creating no real value. But Big Finance’s speculation economy has caused great and real pain for the rest of us. As Joe Stiglitz put it, there’s no reason in the world the incentives of the banks shouldn’t be better aligned with the interests of the country and its citizens.

Moshe Harel among seven indicted for membership of a criminal group trafficking people into Kosovo to remove human organs for transplant; another Israeli citizen, Zaki Shapira, identified as co-conspirator.

At least seven people, including an Israeli citizen, are suspected of involvement in an international network that falsely promised poor people payment for their kidneys and then sold the organs for as much as 100,000 euros ($137,000), according to an indictment obtained by The Associated Press.

Victims were promised up to $20,000 (14,500 euros), while recipients were required to pay between 80,000 and 100,000 euros ($110,000-$137,000).

Eric Cantor's Pledge of Allegiance

Anticipating that the extreme austerity measures which his party is demanding might sweep up foreign aid -- and therefore threaten the billions of dollars every year in American taxpayer money transferred to Israel -- Cantor last month proposed that money to Israel not be classifed any longer as "foreign aid" -- in order to shield it from all cuts. In other words, Cantor wants American citizens to sacrifice in the extreme, to lose all sorts of benefits and security in the name of austerity, but wants to shield Israel -- with a higher standard of living -- from those cuts. Put another way, Americans should give up Social Security and Medicare benefits so that they can continue to transfer billions of dollars every year to Israel, a foreign country which offers far more of a safety net to its own citizens. But don't you dare accuse Eric Cantor of haboring allegiance to Israel and subordinating U.S. interests to this foreign country. That would be extremely wrong of you to insinuate.

Are new security screenings affecting your decision to fly?

Are you less likely to fly because of stepped-up security procedures such as full-body scans and patdowns?

Webmaster's Commentary:

My letter to the local newspaper, the StarAdvertiser...

(This letter is being posted to whatreallyhappened.com in connection with the Reuter’s poll described, as will your reply and whether the letter was published by you or not.)

Reuter’s just ran a poll asking people if the new intrusive security screenings at airports might affect their decision to fly.

As of this writing, 97% of respondents replied that they would indeed change travel plans to avoid terahertz scanners (now known to damage skin DNA and increase the risk of cancer) and the highly intrusive body searches.

I had a caller into my talk radio show yesterday who used to work in Berlin before the fall of the USSR and she reported that crossing Check Point Charlie into East Berlin was nowhere near the hassle of getting through a US airport, and that the Russian soldiers were quite polite and respectful compared to TSA workers. You know your nation has hit rock bottom in the dictatorship department when the Soviet guards look better than TSA!

It is time to face facts. Hawaii’s present economic disaster is directly attributable to the destruction of tourism caused by the TSA. I grieve that none of our state leaders have the moral courage to stand up and denounce this charade that is strangling our state’s tourism economy. Although the papers may proclaim that all is well, my wife and I took a stroll in Waikiki recently, where newspaper platitudes cannot conceal the numerous commercial vacancies and sparse crowds. Compared to Hawaii as it was when my wife and I first moved here thirteen years ago, Waikiki is a ghost town.

And TSA is to blame.

According to Harvard Business School, TSA does not actually make us any safer. The fact is that since 9-11, there has not been a single incident of attempted terror or hijacking originating from a domestic US airport. The few “wag the terrorist” attempts we see in the media usually involve foreign airports where the suspect is walked around the existing airport security by anonymous officials as was the case with the staged crotch-bomber incident last Christmas, when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was walked around the body scanners at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport by an official for ICTS security and allowed to board a plane for the US without a passport. (As a side note, ICTS was also in charge of security at the airport where the Shoe Bomber walked around security, as well as every airport the 9-11 planes departed from, but I digress). Even DHS admits that half of their practice bombs get through TSA despite the groping and fondling. A real terrorist (as opposed to Adam Gadahn, whose real name is Adam Pearlman, or Youssef Al-Khattab, whose real name is Joseph Cohen, or Abu Tellah Al-Amrikee, the “muslim” who threatened South Park and whose real name is Zachery Chesser) would accept a fifty-fifty chance to get a bomb on a plane, knowing that if he is detected at the security checkpoint, he can detonate the bomb there and still accomplish the mission of disrupting US travel. Of course, there are no real terrorists disrupting US travel; the TSA hates competition, and jokes aside, the only terrorists are the ones being wagged about to justify another war on whoever it is we are supposed to two-minute-hate this week. Eastasia (I think).

So why does this abuse go on, slowing dragging Hawaii down into abject poverty and ruin? Well, because while Hawaiians may starve (we have over 4000 homeless on Oahu alone) these security machines are making their owners very rich indeed! Just as Eisenhower faced the “Military Industrial Complex” of the fifties, today we are dealing with a “Security Industrial Complex”; a cadre of opportunists who wave terrorists at us in the same fashion their predecessors waved “Commies” at our parents,. And for the same reason; to scare us all out of money and obedience. Michael Chertoff kicked off this airport security hysteria while head of Homeland Security, then left his job to found the Chertoff Group, which profits handsomely providing security consulting, services and systems to airports around the country. Chertoff Group also employs General Michael V. Hayden, former director of both the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. These are all the people who mandated increased airport security, and now as private citizens profit handsomely from their own policies made while in office. This is classic political looting of the public; create a crisis that does not really exist, and sell the people a solution. Commies. Terrorists. Carbon Dioxide. Killer bees. Over and over and over again. Wake up and smell the rubber gloves, people! You have been HAD! Swindled, Bamboozled, Conned! And the Chertoff group is not the only player getting rich off of the gratuitous fear-mongering.

Killer bees have gone away, along with Y2K and the 1970s claim that we were headed into a new ice age. Even the global warming/CO2 crowd are in retreat with the collapse of Obama and Al Gore’s Chicago Climate Exchange. If Hawaiians wish to save Hawaii the time has come to stop quaking in fear at the fiery head of the great and powerful Wizard of Oz and realize it’s just a greedy old snake oil salesman behind a curtain flashing lights at us and trying to scare us into taking on the Wicked Witch of the West. (Don’t do it; witches have air superiority).

We need a political leadership that will stand up to the hoaxers and say that they have looted enough money at Hawaii’s expense. We need a local media that serves the Hawaiian people rather than the security industrial complex.

Only time will tell if we get them.

US Air, Stop the Lies

In a letter dated Nov 6th, I shared how deep my concern is rooted: I was in tears last weekend as I contemplated the corner that the airline industry has backed me into. I must either become a victim of voyeurism or become a victim of sexual assault in order to take my daughter to see her grandparents, great aunt, great uncle, and great grandmother for Christmas. Not only that, but I have to make the same choice for my child. I absolutely will not allow either of us to be victims of abuse.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What happens if half to three quarters of the people who travel decide to never get on a plane again?!?

It will be devastating for the airline, hospitality, and restaurant industries.

Unfortunately, unless this insanity by TSA stops, that is precisely what will happen.

The 120 men and women were attending the International First Responder-Military Symposium, held at Hilbert College, a small “Franciscan tradition” place of learning. Not that St. Francis would have been interested in a military symposium, but if he’d been able to attend, he’d have heard all about a new technology that will help identify and track “terrorists.”

A lot of very disparate people have been tagged with that term of late. But this new tech may well be the final icing on the cake. It’s a computer program that trawls phone conversations, emails, and social networking sites looking for any signs of resentment of the government.

That’s right. If you’re angry at Washington, they want to know who you are and what you’re saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder just how soon those elements of US institutionalized torture and indefinite detainment might utilized by this government against anyone who believes they have a right to their own opinions, even if those opinions do not square with governmental policies.

This country is slouching toward becoming a dictatorship of incredible magnitude, and most people don't seem to be awake enough to see it coming.

President Barack Obama answered a question at a press conference on the subject straightforwardly but hadn't specifically planned to make a statement criticizing new Israeli building, National Security Council official Dan Shapiro said on the call, according to a participant.

The White House prefers not to litigate its differences with Israel in public, Shapiro told the group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Anything Israel does is just fine with Obama.

The destruction of any meaningful dialogue for peace by aggressively building on Palestinian land?!? No problem!

The spitting in the faces of Obama, Clinton, and Mitchell on the part of the Israeli government by continuing to build?!? No problem!

The continued acceptance of American taxpayer funded aid which is illegal under the Symington Amendment, because Israel does have nuclear weapons and refuses to sign the NNPT? No problem!

British House of Lords: 1 Nov 2010

Webmaster's Commentary:

This video provides a larger context for the earlier clip regarding the mythical "Foundation X". In this expanded clip, we start with Christopher Story explaining the links between CIA and the EU, and the pure criminality of the US financial system, including the illegality of derivatives. Christopher makes a convincing argument that the US financial system is using the money looted from the rest of the world to reshape future politics. We then segue to Lord James and his rant about "Foundation X", suggesting that this hoax is another aspect of the globalist agenda.

The Obama Administration: Covering up Old Crimes While Committing New Ones

Justice and accountability for the crimes of the Bush regime and the Obama administration have been denied once again this week by Obama’s Department of Justice (DOJ). On November 09, 2010 Special Federal Prosecutor John Durham made it clear that he will not bring criminal charges against any of the CIA personnel involved in the destruction of videotapes depicting the torture of alleged "terrorists."

The Obama administration is now covering up the cover up of torture crimes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With this President, "hope and change" morphed into "shock and awe" faster than the speed of light.

Allawi: 'Power-sharing is dead now'

Former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi offered Friday a grim prediction for the future of Iraq's government a day after leading his Iraqiya bloc's walkout from parliament in a dramatic display of unhappiness with a power-sharing agreement that had been forged earlier in the week.

"We think the concept of power-sharing is dead now," the secular Shiite told CNN. "It's finished."

Khadr’s Coerced Confession

The boy’s treatment after capture didn’t improve. Our rulers imprisoned him at Gitmo as an "enemy combatant." This totally unconstitutional, politically convenient category allows the Feds to play games with words and men’s lives by denying that prisoners of war are in fact prisoners of war. The prize? Since "combatants" aren’t POWs, the Feds may ignore international treaties and inflict such atrocities as torture.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US has now institutionalized both torture, and indefinite detention.

Having established both, there is now no guarantee that this same government will not visit these processes on American citizens who simply have a logical disagreement with policies of this government.

Drug expert claims David Kelly was murdered as he could not have taken overdose

Dr Andrew Watt, an experienced clinical pharmacologist, says he has told Thames Valley Police it is not possible Dr Kelly could have swallowed more than a ‘safe’ dose of two coproxamol tablets because there was so little in his system after death.

Asian Powers Are Starting to Call the Shots, and the US Can't Do Anything About It

Blocked from major new domestic initiatives by a Republican victory in the midterm elections, President Barack Obama promptly lit out for Asia, a far more promising arena. That continent, after all, is rising, and Obama is eager to grasp the golden ring of Asian success.

Beyond being a goodwill ambassador for ten days, Obama is seeking sales of American-made durable and consumer goods, weapons deals, an expansion of trade, green energy cooperation, and the maintenance of a geopolitical balance in the region favorable to the United States. Just as the decline of the American economy hobbled him at home, however, the weakness of the United States on the world stage in the aftermath of Bush-era excesses has made real breakthroughs abroad unlikely.

The Guillotine Outside of France

Although the guillotine has never been used in the United States as a legal method of execution (it had been considered in the 19th century before the electric chair), in 1996 Georgia state legislator Doug Teper proposed the guillotine as a replacement for the electric chair as the state's method of execution to enable the convicts to act as organ donors.

Monetary Stalemate: Quantitative Easing Won't Work

Mr. Bernanke’s new round of debt buying has upset nations worldwide, yields in the US fell and the stock market rose, as did gold, silver and commodities.

QE2 won’t work and everyone in the beltway knows that, just like eight years ago they knew Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were broke and that they would be nationalized at taxpayer expense. The problems won’t be fixed – they will just get worse as we head for QE3. That’s because there is no solution short of purging the system, which they know has to be done in time.

KBR knew of Oregon soldiers' exposure to cancer-causing hexavalent chromium in Iraq

Documents exchanged in an Oregon lawsuit suggest that Kellogg, Brown and Root managers had medical tests proving workers at an Iraqi water treatment plant had "significant exposure" to a cancer-causing chemical, and managers worried about KBR's liability as a result.

The minutes of an Oct. 2, 2003 meeting about blood and urine tests from workers at the Qarmat Ali plant contradicts KBR's long-standing claims that there was no medical evidence of harm.

Webmaster's Commentary:

KBR should be paying damages to these vets at the highest level permissible by law.

But once that happens, our military personnel should never be put in these situations in the first place, ever again.

This is what awaits your daughters, sisters, and granddaughters in US airports

Time to man up.

Your family, friends, neighbors, employees, relatives, and fellow travelers are being molested and sexually assaulted by TSA employees under cover of "law."

Time to stop flying and tell the chicken shit executives of the airline and travel industry why.

Time also to investigate Michael Chertoff and ask why he was allowed to start this program as head of Homeland Security and then personally profit from them he left office.

A Molecular Link Between the Active Component of Marijuana and Alzheimer's Disease Pathology

Alzheimer's disease is the leading cause of dementia among the elderly, and with the ever-increasing size of this population, cases of Alzheimer's disease are expected to triple over the next 50 years. Consequently, the development of treatments that slow or halt the disease progression have become imperative to both improve the quality of life for patients as well as reduce the health care costs attributable to Alzheimer's disease. Here, we demonstrate that the active component of marijuana, ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), competitively inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) as well as prevents AChE-induced amyloid ?-peptide (A?) aggregation, the key pathological marker of Alzheimer's disease.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If you can remember the word "Alzheimer's", you don't have it.

But I'm not taking any chances!

U.S. trial unlikely for 9/11 suspect Mohammed: report

The self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11, 2001, attacks probably will remain in military detention without trial for the foreseeable future, The Washington Post reported on Saturday, citing Obama administration officials.

The administration has concluded that it cannot put Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on trial in federal court in New York City because of opposition from members of Congress and local officials, the Post said.

There is also little support within the administration for a military prosecution at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, over concerns it would alienate liberal supporters, the paper reported.

Webmaster's Commentary:

By refusing to try this case (which would probably come apart at the seams under the normal process of American jurisprudence), the US government has institutionalized indefinite detention without trial, just as it has previously institutionalized torture.

And the big ugly stink it appears no one wants to deal with in this case (which is why this guy may rot at Gitmo for the rest of his life), is that Mohammed's "confession" was elicited under torture.

As reported on 23 March, 2007 at:

"In the case of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, it appears that with torture you can get someone to confess to masterminding the entire al-Qaeda attack on the United States. Senior FBI officials are questioning some of Sheikh Mohammed's assertions of guilt and remind us of the FBI's concern about torture techniques used by both the CIA and the US military on prisoners in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo, techniques that can elicit confessions just to get the torturers to stop."

Citing the "Laws of War" as an excuse for indefinite detention doesn't work at all in the case of Khalid Mohammed, because, according to the Constitution, only Congress can declare war. Congress did no such thing before the invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Also, under the rules of law, there is no such thing as an "enemy combatant"; that is something the previous administration made up out of thin air!

There are only prisoners of war, and these prisoners of war should be dealt with under the provisions of the Geneva
Accords, to which the US is still (at least on paper) a signatory.

The US government officials aren't afraid of some terrorist act happening because such a trial would go forward; it is terrified that because Mohammed's confession was obtained under torture, it would be immediately thrown out under normal judicial procedure.

The Demons Among us at the Cannibal Feast

We’ve heard that evil destroys itself. That implies that components within the schematic are in opposition to other components in terms of intention and agenda. You can think of evil as something like cancer, where the host body is attacked by elements which compose it. Ergo, you get people like Glenn Beck attacking George Soros. A representative of Little Georgie Sorrows told Glenn Beck that he was hurting Georgie’s business. The implication of a dead fish coming in a UPS truck is not to be missed.
