Powder Keg: Cliven Bundy Supporters Openly Warn Feds To Stand Down In 3 Million Acre Land Grab

In today’s episode, Pete relives the original Bundy Ranch standoff, and he also conveys his belief that a 2nd Bundy Ranch Standoff will ensue if the federal government dares to take the 3 million acres they have recently proposed and published on their website. Santilli’s comments are important, especially as they relate to the U.S. Constitution. Article one, section 7 paragraph 17 of the U.S. Constitution specifically prohibits what the U.S. Government can and cannot own as far as land. Taking 3 million acres from the American people is outright unconstitutional, and Santilli tells Senator Harry Reid, the BLM, the DOJ and every other communist who has infiltrated the U.S. Government that we will not let them take the land from the people of the state of Nevada. Santilli openly calls for a 2nd Bundy Ranch Standoff in order to defend our constitutional rights as a people.

COLLATERAL DAMAGE OF THE BDS MOVEMENT

Originally I was going to headline this post A SMALL STEP FOR MAN, A GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND …. AN EVEN GREATER LEAP FOR THE BDS MOVEMENT.

BUT

I must say that when we call for a boycott of companies situated in the Occupied West Bank we are calling for a boycott of the occupation itself. It is not our intention to put these companies out of business, just to get them out of lands that do not belong to them or Israel.

SO

In reality, the workers of SodaStream are victims of Collateral Damage in our ongoing war against the occupation. The workers of the plant involved, both Israeli and Palestinian have our sincerest wishes that they will soon find suitable employment elsewhere … they were certainly not our target.

Payday loan brokers help themselves to UK savers’ accounts, customers outraged

Brokers linked to payday loan companies may be raiding the bank accounts of over 1 million Britons, with many being the poorest in society, the UK’s biggest banks have warned.

Natwest, one of the largest retail banking chains in Britain, said it was “inundated” with complaints from customers.

Victims claimed that brokerages, offering deals on payday loans – short term loans with very high fixed rates of interest – are extracting sums of £50 to £70 from savings accounts without informing customers first.

Sweden officially recognizes Palestinian state, Israel recalls ambassador

Sweden has recognized the occupied state of Palestine officially, according to its foreign ministry. The Scandinavian has become the first West-European EU state to recognize the territories. Israel has recalled its ambassador in Sweden in protest.

The news follows an earlier hint by Prime Minister Stefan Lovfen in his Social Democrat manifesto, during his inaugural address in October, that this would happen. The idea was quickly met with criticism from the United States and Israel.

"Our decision comes at a critical time because over the last year we have seen how the peace talks have stalled, how decisions over new settlements on occupied Palestinian land have complicated a two-state solution and how violence has returned to Gaza," Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom told reporters.

"By making our decision we want to bring a new dynamic to the stalled peace process."

FLASHBACK 2010 - WHO scandal exposed: Advisors received kickbacks from H1N1 vaccine manufacturers

A stunning new report reveals that top scientists who convinced the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare H1N1 a global pandemic held close financial ties to the drug companies that profited from the sale of those vaccines. This report, published in the British Medical Journal, exposes the hidden ties that drove WHO to declare a pandemic, resulting in billions of dollars in profits for vaccine manufacturers.

Several key advisors who urged WHO to declare a pandemic received direct financial compensation from the very same vaccine manufacturers who received a windfall of profits from the pandemic announcement. During all this, WHO refused to disclose any conflicts of interests between its top advisors and the drug companies who would financially benefit from its decisions.

Those Dancing Hypocrites on Invisible Wires of Compliance.

I'm guessing this Tuesday is Election Day. That should make this weekend significant, It is truly an experience for me to watch The Last Empire crumble into ruin. There are any number of factors which makes the occurrence memorable. Not the least of these occurrences is the level of maintained ignorance that attends it and without which, it couldn't happen. In this atmosphere of ruin and devastation I see art beginning to mimic life. That is... if you can call these things art; all those zombie movies, which I don't get the attraction for and the spate of apocalyptic films that have come out over recent decades. You can get a feel for what might likely come about by observing the awareness level of the generations and making comparative analysis of disparities between them in the areas where there are disparities. It is interesting to watch people's attention gravitate to the lowest common denominator, once the option has been set into place, as an overlay upon more superior choices.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source said that the recent security measures were aimed at protecting border areas in the western and eastern Bekaa Valley from possible attacks by the Nusra Front, ISIS and the Free Syrian Army.

The Wrath of Draghi: First German Bank Hits Savers with Negative Interest Rate

Deutsche Skatbank, a division of VR-Bank Altenburger Land, which was founded in 1859, is not the biggest bank in Germany, but it’s the first bank to confirm what German savers have been dreading for a while: the wrath of Draghi.

Retail and business customers with over €500,000 on deposit as of November 1 will earn a “negative interest rate” of 0.25%. In less euphemistic terms, they have to pay0.25% per annum to the bank for the privilege of handing the bank their hard-earned money or their business cash.

“There will be no direct impact on your savings,” the ECB announced five months ago. “Only banks that deposit money in certain accounts at the ECB have to pay.” But it added ominously, “Commercial banks may of course choose to lower interest rates for savers.”

And that would be good for savers:

Webmaster's Commentary:

To those of you in the US who say, "That CANNOT possibly happen in the US", please think again.

Have no more money in your checking account than is needed to pay your bills. Place all the rest of your money under your personal control. Think about getting small, untraceable amounts of gold and silver to add to your personal portfolio.

Inflation in the US has already catastrophically destroyed whatever you have saved; the suppression of gold and silver value will not continue forever.

20-Year CBS News Veteran, Sharyl Attkisson, Details Massive Censorship and Propaganda in Mainstream Media

Reporters on the ground aren’t necessarily ideological, Attkisson says, but the major network news decisions get made by a handful of New York execs who read the same papers and think the same thoughts.

Often they dream up stories beforehand and turn the reporters into “casting agents,” told “we need to find someone who will say . . .” that a given policy is good or bad. “We’re asked to create a reality that fits their New York image of what they believe,” she writes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." -- Richard Salent, Former President CBS News.

"News is what someone wants to suppress. Everything else is advertising". -- former NBC news President Rubin Frank

Asked to give a toast before the prestigious New York Press Club in 1880, John Swinton, the former Chief of Staff at the New York Sun, made this candid confession [it's worth noting that Swinton was called "The Dean of His Profession" by other newsmen, who admired him greatly]:

" There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job.

If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell the country for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press. We are the tools and vassals of the rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes. "

Amazon-CIA $600 Million Deal Facing Scrutiny: ‘What’s the CIA Doing on Amazon’s Cloud?’

A billboard challenging Amazon to fully disclose the terms of its $600 million contract to provide cloud computing services for the Central Intelligence Agency has been unveiled at a busy intersection near Amazon’s Seattle headquarters.

The billboard’s launch — asking “the $600 million question: What’s the CIA Doing on Amazon’s Cloud?” — marks the escalation of a campaign by the online activist organizations RootsAction.org and ExposeFacts.org. The groups are calling for accountability from Amazon in an effort to inform the public of serious privacy implications of the Amazon-CIA collaboration. AP IMPACT: US Health Care Unprepared for Ebola

The U.S. health care apparatus is so unprepared and short on resources to deal with the deadly Ebola virus that even small clusters of cases could overwhelm parts of the system, according to an Associated Press review of readiness at hospitals and other components of the emergency medical network.

Experts broadly agree that a widespread nationwide outbreak is extremely unlikely, but they also concur that it is impossible to predict with certainty, since previous Ebola epidemics have been confined to remote areas of Africa. And Ebola is not the only possible danger that causes concern; experts say other deadly infectious diseases — ranging from airborne viruses such as SARS, to an unforeseen new strain of the flu, to more exotic plagues like Lassa fever — could crash the health care system.

More “War on Terror” Abuses – Spying Powers Are Used for Terrorism Only 0.5% of the Time

The Patriot Act continues to wreak its havoc on civil liberties. Section 213 was included in the Patriot Act over the protests of privacy advocates and granted law enforcement the power to conduct a search while delaying notice to the suspect of the search. Total War Over The Petrodollar

The conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Total SA’s chief executive, Christophe de Margerie, started the second the news broke of his death. Definition of Medical Billing Fraud

Medical billing fraud is a big problem in the United States. It costs the American health care industry billions of dollars each year. Always (Always!) Double-Check Your Medical Bills

This past November, my wife had to see a doctor at our local Urgent Care. Unfortunately, when the bill showed up the claim had been denied. The reason? Out of network. The problem? It wasn’t out of network! It’s supposed to be a $20 co-pay with the rest going to insurance. So… I called the Urgent Care billing office on December 15th. They confirmed that it should’ve been covered, and promised to re-submit the claim. Fast forward to this week…

We just got another bill from Urgent Care. Same deal — they want the full balance. This time, however, it seems that our insurance company decided to split the difference and apply it to our deductible instead of flat-out denying the claim, or paying it like they’re supposed to. When I called the Urgent Care billing office, they weren’t sure what went wrong, but promised to re-file the claim. Again.

Hugger-in-Chief

Nina Pham, the first person to be infected with Ebola within the United States, had just been declared disease-free and discharged from the National Institutes of Health. Obama is a rational, science-friendly guy, so he knew she wasn’t any danger to him. It didn’t take courage to hug her.

Given how quickly Nina went from "got Ebola" to "Ebola free", especially in light of research papers saying recovered people can still pass along the disease for weeks after they recover, I am starting to wonder if Nina ever really had it to start with, or is just another "Wag the Ebola" hoax to keep us all flooding the shopping malls for the Christmas shopping season and make sure we show up at the voting booths next week. Jailed financier R. Allen Stanford, convicted in 2012 of running a massive global Ponzi scheme that rivals the Madoff scandal, says he is the victim of an illegal prosecution, and "the clearest of assaults on the U.S. Constitution."

Having fired the last of a string of court-appointed attorneys, and with no funds to hire a replacement, he is representing himself even though he has no legal background. The Red Cross' Secret Disaster

Americans did what they so often do after disasters. They sent hundreds of millions of dollars to the Red Cross, confident their money would ease the suffering left behind by Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Isaac. They believed the charity was up to the job.

They were wrong.

The Red Cross botched key elements of its mission after Sandy and Isaac, leaving behind a trail of unmet needs and acrimony, according to an investigation by ProPublica and NPR. The charity’s shortcomings were detailed in confidential reports and internal emails, as well as accounts from current and former disaster relief specialists.

What’s more, Red Cross officials at national headquarters in Washington, D.C. compounded the charity’s inability to provide relief by “diverting assets for public relations purposes,” as one internal report puts it. Distribution of relief supplies, the report said, was “politically driven.”

Unmanned balloon a bust in Frein manhunt

Pennsylvania State Police say an unmanned balloon brought in from Ohio has not been helpful in the search for a suspect in the killing of a state trooper.

Trooper Tom Kelly, a state police spokesman, says the agency returned the Mylar balloon to the Ohio Department of Transportation on Tuesday.

Kelly says dense brush and rugged terrain in the Pocono Mountains search area hampered use of the tethered device, which is akin to a weather balloon.

SodaStream Closing West Bank Factory Targeted by Boycotts in ScarJo Split

SodaStream International Ltd. will close a factory in a West Bank settlement that had prompted calls by pro-Palestinian activists for consumers to boycott the Israeli company’s soda machines.

The plant in the industrial zone of Mishor Adumim will shut after the company opted to relocate its operations at that site and another in northern Israel by late 2015. The decision is “purely commercial” and forms part of a “global growth plan” being initiated by Lod, Israel-based SodaStream, spokeswoman Nirit Hurwitz said today by e-mail.

Canadians stand up to Islamophobe in social experiment that ends with punch

The "racist" character in the video asks the "Muslim" character to step out of a line of people waiting for a bus, accusing him of being a terrorist threat. None of the bystanders in the video support the "Islamophobic" actor. One man emphatically rejects the diatribe, pointing out that Canadians can’t blame all Muslims for the violent action of fanatics.

"You know what? You can’t stereotype and judge people by their clothes," the man says in the video.

Another man gets so aggravated that he punches the heckling actor in the face, giving him a bloody nose.

Ignoring the fact that the majority of these cases always turn out to be hoaxes, who but Israel gives a damn about the swastika any more? Insurance Companies Begin Writing ‘Ebola Exclusions’ into Policies

Remember the promise of universal health care with Obamacare, with no refusal for ‘pre-existing conditions’? It looks like your insurance company may not have to cover you if you get Ebola. U.S. and British insurance companies have begun writing Ebola exclusions into standard policies to cover hospitals, event organizers, and other businesses vulnerable to local disruptions.

While it is estimated that expenditures to treat the original Dallas Ebola patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, were approximately $100,000 an hour (though he passed anyway), it looks like insurance companies won’t be footing the bill.

Why Millennials Are Not Buying Houses Or Cars

“Since World War II, new cars and suburban houses have powered the economy and propelled recoveries. Millennials are not buying houses or cars, and may have lost interest in both.”

You mean the generation that paid three times as much for college to enter a job market with triple the unemployment isn’t interested in purchasing the assets of the generation who just blew an enormous housing bubble and kept it from popping through quantitative easing and out-and-out federal support? I’m curious as to how they have rationalized we have simply “lost interest”.

HTML5 reaches ‘recommendation’ status

The World Wide Web Consortium today has elevated the HTML5 specification to ‘recommendation’ status, giving it the group’s highest level of endorsement, which is akin to becoming a standard.

But Jeff Jaffe, CEO of the W3C, was quick to point out that work on the Web is far from complete.

HTML5 is a critical piece in terms of importance to the next generation of Web technology in general, according to Jaffe. “I think back to what the Web originally was, which was accessing static documents from Web pages. Today, it’s what we call the Open Web Platform for building distributed applications, characterized by rich media – video, audio and graphics – natively available in browsers,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I experimented with HTML5 in writing Claire's music website and the overall portal to our online "empire." The problem I ran into is that various smart phones and tablets, although claiming to support HTML5, did not actually support the full specifications, only enough HTML5 to be able to advertise they supported HTML5, and in many cases the pages would not display correctly.

GOP-led Purge Threat to 3.5 Million Voters

Election officials in 27 states, most of them Republicans, have launched a program that threatens a massive purge of voter rolls, especially targeting minority voters.

Al Jazeera America has obtained 2.1 million names from the target lists, kept confidential until now. Experts reviewing the lists conclude it is suspiciously over-weighted with Black, Hispanic and Asian-American voters.

The targeted voters have been tagged as “potential duplicate voters,” suspected of voting twice in the same election, in two different states, a felony crime punishable by 2-10 years in prison.

Palestine must recognize Jewish Israel for peace: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says no peace agreement will be achieved with the Palestinians unless they recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

A NEW ISRAELI PIN-UP CALENDAR TO DIE FOR ~~ LITERALLY

Or, as the creators of the MTKL Israeli Army Women Calendar like to call them, “the chosen amongst the chosen people.”

These chosen women, brought together by two former (male) soldiers who “scoured the ranks of the powerful Israeli army,” would like you to donate $25 to their Indiegogo campaign so that they can not only ship you this calendar, but also create a whole line of clothing and accessories that will blend “the best of military and street into must-have urban fashion.”

Gaza (along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem) is occupied Palestinian territory under international law, determined by the vast majority of the world, as well as the highest court in the world, the UN’s International Court of Justice. Gaza cannot commit aggression against Israel, since Israel is in constant and continual commission of illegal aggression against Palestine by occupying it (illegally and sadistically blockading it and frequently committing terrorism against its civilians, including by targeting them with chemical weapons provided by US taxpayers – see “Rain of Fire” by Human Rights Watch). Israel increases pressure on nonviolent struggle's flagship village

If you take a look at the Wikipedia page on Bil’in, you’ll see that the last updates about the village’s struggle against the separation wall refer to 2012. B’Tselem’s page on Bil’in was last updated almost two years ago. One could easily be led to believe that the struggle is over. But Bil’in continues to demonstrate.

Perhaps updating Wikipedia and B’Tselem’s website isn’t necessary. The situation in Bil’in remains as it was. Veteran protesters even experience flashbacks to 2008, when the demonstrations took place near the old route of the wall. This is the same route that stole nearly half of the village’s agricultural land, and which the High Court later ordered be dismantled and moved west. This was before the new route was built and introduced in 2011 — the same one that steals only one third of the village’s land.

Vaccine Pioneer Doctor Admits Polio Vaccine Caused Cancer

In 2002, the journal Lancet published compelling evidence that contaminated polio vaccine was responsible for up to half of the 55,000 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cases that were occurring each year.

What was it contaminated with?

SV40, a cancer-causing monkey virus. The puzzle began in 1994, when Dr. Michele Carbone, a Loyola University researcher, found the virus SV40, which had never before been detected in humans, in half of the human lung tumors he was studying. Since then, 60 different lab studies have confirmed the results, and SV40 has been found in a variety of human cancers, including lung-, brain-, bone-, and lymphatic cancer.

At first no one could fathom how the virus had been transmitted into the human population.

But in the censored interview with Dr. Maurice Hilleman (below), Hilleman admits Merck’s responsibility in unleashing this virus via their polio vaccine, as well as the likelihood that there was an importing and spreading the AIDS virus in the same manner.

Feds Retaliate against the Bundy Ranch and the Southern Nevada People On Friday October 10th, 2014 a Notice from the federal registry reveals that the federal government is mounting retaliations against the Bundy family and the Southern Nevada people.

Federal Register / Vol. 79, No.197 Notice, outlines plans to make the Bundy ranch and most of the rest of Southern Nevada, Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs). 90 days from October 10th, 2014 these proposals will become federal law without consent from the Nevada State legislatures or the people of Southern Nevada.

Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs) are human restricted management areas. ACECs have been a tool used by the federal government to gain further control of large masses of western lands and the resources.

As proposed, nearly 3 million acres in Southern Nevada will be locked away from the people. This includes most uses on the land (recreational, agricultural or otherwise).

‘Calibration issue’ in Maryland voting machines switches GOP picks to Democrat

“This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat. Sometimes it required four or five tries to get the ‘x’ to stay on my real selection,” she said.

Kaci Hickox emerged in the center of this debate just yesterday when she complained of being “interrogated” and held in violation of her civil rights. Kaci’s LinkedIn.com profile, which described her links to the CDC, was scrubbed from the web earlier today, and even Google cache has strangely been cleared of her profile which previously detailed her ties to the CDC.

Utah police shut down dance party because of… dancing?

“We were given a permit,” Keddington said. “And then told by officers we couldn’t have a dance, under threat of being taken to jail with a felony of inciting a riot.”

According to a St. George City ordinance, public dances are permitted, but only after approval of the city council.

Hillary Clinton Corrects Fumbled “Jobs” Line

Clinton said in her speech that corporations that outsource jobs or move profits overseas should not be granted tax breaks. The clarification made clear that the remark was a botched line — not new messaging from Clinton, who has honed a new stump speech during a series of rallies ahead the election next month.

“The Republican alternative is a discredited economic theory that will hurt middle class families,” Clinton said. “So-called trickle-down economics has failed.”

The highly sophisticated hacking of Sharyl Attkisson's computers

They met at a McDonald’s in Northern Virginia at the beginning of 2013, and the source (she dubs him Number One) warned her about the threat of government spying. During their next hamburger rendezvous, Big Mac told Attkisson, then a CBS News reporter constantly at odds with the Obama administration, that he was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” by his examination of her computer and that this was “worse than anything Nixon ever did.”

Statistical Look at this Year’s Ebola Outbreak – Off the Charts: a Black Swan

For a start, the current Ebola outbreak is anything but “well contained”. Below is a statistical table that shows all Ebola outbreaks since the discovery of the disease in 1976. Note that this graphic is already dated by now — the 2014 event has literally “gone off the chart” in the meantime. Even so, this graphic gives a good impression of how small the previous incidences of Ebola outbreaks were by comparison.

'Mainstream media outlets cover up for President Obama and kill unfavorable stories': Bombshell claims made by former CBS reporter in explosive new book

An ex-CBS reporter is releasing a book that blames mainstream media outlets for covering for President Obama.

Sharyl Attkisson left CBS in the spring and opened up about her former employer and colleagues in 'Stonewalled' and claims that the media is liberal and covers up for the current administration.

According to a review in the New York Post, officials within the administration constantly criticized Attkisson's report efforts as 'unreasonable.'

THE INTERVIEW ON AMERICA's FIRST EBOLA PATIENT: DIED ON SATURDAY, 10/4/14, NOT 10/8/14

Webmaster's Commentary:

CBS has changed the transcript on their website, but they cannot erase the video record (although they can take it down). In this interview, one of the nurses confirms that Thomas Duncan actually died on Saturday October 4th, the same day Israel media reported it. But the American people were not told that Duncan dies until Wednesday October 8th, four days lkater. This alone proves that Ebola news is being managed, spin-doctored, or wagged; however you want to call it.

What else are the lying about?

It is one thing to tolerate a government that has lied about Global Warming, Fast and Furious, unemployment, IRS-gate, etc., but now they are gambling with the lives of Americans to keep us going to the shopping malls and voting booths.

Of Prepubescent Profanity Tarts, Warming up for the Alternate NAMBLA Games.

Obviously we have to address this 'tots with tiaras' profanity advert; not only completely off the wall but also, nothing more than an example of crass materialism, when you look under the hood. And what would a viral PC advert be without skewered statistics? Now we got one in five raped but they kind of covered themselves by tacking on 'abused' or 'assaulted', I forget which. I do know that this includes verbal insults and dirty looks. Here's a little commentary. You get a clue about several things by reading the comments. Here's the website and you get to see the video too. A good terse explanation about the reality of one of the statistics can be found here, as for the other stats, I've made my observation and I wasn't being whimsical.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I agree with the criticism of "Tots in Tiarras" and view it as another symptom of a society that has become very sick, with failed beauty queens as mothers trying to relive their glory days vicariously through their children. As for the children, they should be allowed to remain children for as long as possible because growing up is a one-way street and you don't get to go back. I don;t think anyone has the right to tell a child to be a grown-up until we have created a world worth being grown up in.

Jakarta International School: Teachers and staff at top international school accused of raping students as young as five

The school says they had agreed with the parents to keep the case confidential to protect the child, and were surprised when Thomas and Ria shared the details with other parents, and then organised a press conference, to reveal what had happened. Thomas and Ria say they weren’t satisfied with the response of school officials, who they say had advised them against reporting the assault to the police.

Following the claims, six Indonesian cleaners, five men and a woman, were arrested. One of them died while in custody; the police say he committed suicide. The four other men all admitted to the crime, but have since retracted their statements, saying they were obtained under torture. Their lawyers also argue the medical examinations of the boy do not show evidence of rape. Their trial began early September.

Ebola, Urbanization and the Spanish Flu

Yet, it would have been the growth in city population (i.e., urbanization) that had to have been one of the leading causes for why so many died of the Spanish Flu. Those living in cities would have had a dramatically higher chance of dying from the 1918 Flu Pandemic, than those who live outside the cities, on a farm.

Even more interesting is the fact that the Spanish Flu of 1918 was less lethal than Ebola – ‘only’ killing between 10% and 20% of its victims.

CDC says returning Ebola medical workers should not be quarantined

Federal health officials on Monday revamped guidelines for doctors and nurses returning home to the United States from treating Ebola patients in West Africa, stopping well short of controversial mandatory quarantines being imposed by some U.S. states.

Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), called for isolation of people at the highest risk for Ebola infection but said most medical workers returning from the three countries at the center of the epidemic would require daily monitoring without isolation.

MH17 might have been shot down from air – chief Dutch investigator

The chief Dutch prosecutor investigating the MH17 downing in eastern Ukraine does not exclude the possibility that the aircraft might have been shot down from air, Der Spiegel reported. Intelligence to support this was presented by Moscow in July.

The chief investigator with the Dutch National Prosecutors' Office Fred Westerbeke said in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel published on Monday that his team is open to the theory that another plane shot down the Malaysian airliner.

Following the downing of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 flight in July that killed almost 300 people, Russia’s Defense Ministry released military monitoring data, which showed a Kiev military jet tracking the MH17 plane shortly before the crash. No explanation was given by Kiev as to why the military plane was flying so close to a passenger aircraft. Neither Ukraine, nor Western states have officially accepted such a possibility.

The Worst Act of Terrorism in San Francisco History

Almost instantly, two radicals -- Thomas J. Mooney and his assistant, Warren Billings -- were targeted for questioning. Both had long been tracked by the police for their involvement in various “socialist shenanigans:” Mooney for “conspiring to dynamite power lines” at a 1913 strike, and Billings for bringing dynamite on a train. Both had previously been cleared of all charges for lack of evidence, but investigators were constantly looking for a way to imprison them. They were, as described by one publication, “San Francisco’s most hunted radicals.”

A dangerous new security vulnerability has been discovered in Microsoft’s Office software, threatening to hijack users of virtually every existing version of Windows.

The bug in question affects programs like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel – and could allow an intruder to gain access to and control over a user’s entire computer.

Already, Microsoft has discovered that hackers are using the bug to hack computers through PowerPoint. Windows users should be wary of opening PowerPoint files sent via email unless they completely trust the original source, the company wrote in an online security advisory. 10 Common Medical Billing Overcharges You Can Prevent

From surgery costs, to administrative fees, to equipment charges, hospitals and clinics routinely overcharge their patients for services both big and small. The medical principle of “first, do no harm” sometimes seems to have gone out the window completely.

Unfortunately, there are no laws to keep hospitals and clinics from doing this. It is our responsibility to step up and blow the whistle on these—let’s face it—criminal practices.

8 Unfair Medical Billing Practices and How to Fight Them

3) Double-billing

Often a medical bill can include separate charges for items that were included in other bills. For example, hospitals sometimes charge separately for the sheets and pillows on a hospital bed, a cost that is usually included in the price of the room. It’s also possible to see a charge for the scrubs, masks and gloves worn by an OR staff on both the surgery bill and the bill for the operating room time.
