1953 Iran coup – a crime authored in London and Washington

This week marks 65 years since the Western-orchestrated coup in Iran. August 19, 1953 is the day that Iranians were taught a hard lesson in the rules of the game when it comes to empire and hegemony.
For on this day, the country’s democratically elected prime minister, Mohammad Mossadegh, was overthrown at the hands of Washington and London. It was, by any measure, an act of international banditry that continues to cry out for just redress.

U.S. DOLLAR - AMERICA'S WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION

***
The days of America’s CARE Package are gone. Now the only things countries and citizens of the world see are bombs falling from the skies and their economies crashing.

However, America has not only used its nuclear bombs and every other kind of bombs and rockets, but has waged economic wars against so many countries, with devastating effect to no less degree than bombs and rockets.

The row with Turkey, which came out of the blue, is but another declared war, though of an economic nature, with America using its dollar as a weapon of mass destruction.

This is not the first time the US has used its dollar and its economic power to wage wars on countries and nations that somehow don’t fit with its own thinking.

Putin sides with Merkel on controversial Nord Stream 2 project despite US pressure

VLADIMIR Putin has vowed to work alongside Angela Merkel to complete a contentious gas pipeline which President Donald Trump has insisted will keep Germany “captive to Russia”.

Speaking ahead of bilateral talks with his German counterpart, Mr Putin insisted the Nord Stream 2 project is “purely economic”.

The multi-billion pound Nord Stream 2 will run through the Baltic Sea and supply gas to Germany and the EU.

Its construction is being funded by Russian state-owned giant Gazprom and a group of major European energy firms who say the project will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by providing cleaner fuel to Europe.

But Washington has criticised the project for making a mockery of Western sanctions imposed after Mr Putin’s annexation of Crimea.

What may unfold in Syria's Idlib ?

What may unfold in Syria's Idlib and why is a 'bloodbath' likely?
Idlib is the Syrian government's next target, experts say, but other scenarios may unfold with regional players at hand.

Just weeks after scoring a major military victory in the south, Syria's President Bashar al-Assad appears set to fully open a new, more complex, front in the country's war - now in its eighth year.

The key northwestern Idlib province is the Syrian opposition's last major bastion in the country. It is currently home to nearly three million people, half of whom are internally displaced, and encloses what was once a major commercial highway linking Syria to Turkey and Jordan.

Along with sharing a border with Turkey, Idlib is adjacent to Latakia province, a Syrian government stronghold that is home to the biggest military airbase of its major ally, Russia.

Idlib's strategic importance is what makes a government-led assault imminent, experts say, and its capture would put the vast majority of the country under Assad's control.

Fate Of Key Gas Pipeline In The Balance As Putin, Merkel Begin Meeting

“Russian influence will flow through that pipeline right into Europe, and that is what we are going to prevent,” an unnamed U.S. official told the Wall Street Journal just as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chancellor Angela Merkel meet outside of Berlin on Saturday centered on the two countries moving forward with the controversial Russian-German Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but also involving issues from the Iran nuclear deal to ending the war in Syria.

Intense pressure from Washington is overshadowing the project, construction of which is already in advanced stages, as the WSJ cites current and former US officials who say sanctions are under discussion and could be mobilized in a mere matter of weeks.

These potential sanctions, ostensibly being discussed in response to US intelligence claims of Russian interference in the 2016 election, could target companies and financial firms involved in the massive pipeline's construction.

South Korea’s Moon Steers Toward Inter-Korean Unity While Wind from Washington Blows in His Face

At the height of U.S. power following Japan’s defeat, Washington itself wrote the rules of the game for the Korean Peninsula — whether others are willing to continue playing along indefinitely remains another question entirely.

South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in marked the anniversary of Korea’s independence from Japanese colonialism with a robust call for the economic integration of North and South Korea as a means to achieve “survival and development” as well as “true liberation” for the long-divided nation.

The announcement – which focused on the creation of various joint projects including inter-Korean railway, energy, and economic links – sharply diverges from the United States’ insistence that all pursue a “maximum pressure” strategy to denuclearize the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK, as the North is officially known).

Yet Moon’s plan also hinges on the slim chance that the U.S. will offer sanctions relief>>>

Giuliani Accuses CIA’s Brennan of Being the Mastermind Behind Trump Persecution

In an interview with Sean Hannity on Monday night, President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani pointed the finger squarely at former CIA Director John Brennan, accusing the outspoken intelligence chief of being the puppetmaster pulling the strings of the Trump investigation back in 2016.

“I’m going to tell you who was the quarterback for all of this,” Giuliani said. “Strzok, he’s a bit of a puppet. Then there’s Mueller, he’s a puppet. The guy running it is Brennan. And he should be in front of a grand jury.”

Giuliani accused the former CIA director of taking the phony dossier and putting it in front of then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat looking for any way possible to bring Trump’s campaign to a crashing halt.

“That led to the request for the investigation,” Giuliani recalled. “So he takes a false dossier, he gets the senators involved, and they demand an investigation. A totally phony investigation.”

Censorship Is What Happens When Powerful People Get Scared

Anyone who tells you the recent escalation of censorship by U.S. tech giants is merely a reflection of private companies making independent decisions is either lying or dangerously ignorant.

In the case of Facebook, the road from pseudo-platform to willing and enthusiastic tool of establishment power players is fairly straightforward. It really got going earlier this year when issues surrounding egregious privacy violations in the case of Cambridge Analytica (stuff that had been going on for years) could finally be linked to the Trump campaign. It was at this point that powerful and nefarious forces spotted an opportunity to leverage the company’s gigantic influence in distributing news and opinion for their own ends. Rather than hold executives to account and break up the company, the choice was made to commandeer and weaponize the platform. This is where we stand today.

CONSPIRACY THEORISTS PROVEN RIGHT AS TSA BODY SCANNERS ROLLED OUT AT SUBWAY STATIONS

For years, those who have been paying attention to the ever-expanding police state that is the United States, have been warning of the slippery slope of TSA expansion. For years, these same people warned that TSA would soon be present at bus stations, malls, and subways. And now, this has begun to happen.

Indeed, the Free Thought Project predicted this years ago when several U.S. senators from both sides of the aisle expressed their desire to make travelers lives’ a veritable hell of red tape and insidious surveillance by increasing putative ‘security’ for rail lines, highways, and marine routes by adding presence and screening procedures at Megabus depots, Amtrak stations, and more. Now, it is finally here.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately for us living in Hawaii, it is darn near impossible to get from one place to another without flying, and dealing with the whims of TSA's"Grope-Nazis."

Leaking Las Vegas: West's Biggest Reservoir Nears Critical Threshold

In 2016, Lake Mead water levels drop to new record lows (since it was filled in the 1930s) leaving Las Vegas facing existential threats unless something is done. Las Vegas and its 2 million residents and 40 million tourists a year get almost all their drinking water from the Lake and at levels below 1075ft, the Interior Department will be forced to declare a "shortage," which will lead to significant cutbacks for Arizona and Nevada.

And now, two years later, the situation appears to be getting worse as The Wall Street Journal reports, in a prediction released Wednesday, the Bureau of Reclamation, a multistate agency that manages water and power in the West, said there is a 52% probability that water levels will fall below a threshold of 1,075 feet elevation by 2020.

Child Abuse, the Catholic Church and the Justice of Real Consequences

I abandoned the Church years before the pedophilia scandals erupted into public consciousness, but when the pedophilia scandals exploded two blocks from my house on the doorstep of the cardinal’s residence in Boston, I realized who Shanley was, and how close I had come to danger (I very specifically remember him looking like an animated cadaver as he stood in the light from the window, so I skipped all but the first CCD classes because he creeped me out so much). Behind all the incense and the soaring cathedral walls was an edifice built on hiding the tears of children that were shed because of the actions of trusted priests and the church leadership who protected them.

My relationship with the Church began with fear, then morphed over the years into fearful respect, then respect in disagreement, then disdain, until I finally landed in a cold puddle of perfect horror … and that was all before the Pennsylvania report this week:

How the Catholic church used a 'playbook' to cover up abuse in Pennsylvania and sent priests to 'treatment centers' - but many ignored the advice

A grand jury report released Tuesday, revealed that hundreds of Roman Catholic priests in Pennsylvania have molested more than 1,000 children and that senior church officials, including the now archbishop of Washington, D.C. covered up the abuse.

The report said the numbers of actual victims and abusers could be much higher.

It found that the church systematically covered up the abuse using 'a playbook for concealing the truth.'

TRUMP: "SOCIAL MEDIA IS TOTALLY DISCRIMINATING AGAINST CONSERVATIVE VOICES"

Following the crackdown against Alex Jones and various other pundits on Twitter and other social media outlets, on Saturday morning President Trump joined the big tech censorship debate, and accused social media of "totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices", claiming that the Trump administration "won't let that happen", and arguing that the platforms should allow both "good and bad" content online amid an escalating debate over social media’s growing censorship and role in policing content online.

"Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices. Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others," Trump tweeted.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, I have no patience for people advocating death, even for people whose life track record (in this case, that of Senator Mc Cain, who has never encountered any potential war he didn't love) has been one of creating misery for third world people who were simply "in the way" of resources the US wanted or wants to expropriate.

I thoroughly believe in documenting the truth as I see it; then letting people decide where they stand on the issue.

That is what, I believe, a true journalist does, even if it is on a blog, like this one.

This is also why I refuse to be silent on the US enabling of Saudi war crimes in Yemen, as well as other war crimes, such as those committed against Palestinians by the Israelis.

In reading what Johnstone wrote, I feel that she should have documented the specific acts in which McCain engaged, in terms of his support for these endless, unrelenting wars for resources, rather than advocating for his death; but should Twitter have electronically shunned her for this, when there is much more objectionable content in many of the tweets which are allowed to go forward?!?

State Lawmaker Proposes Taxing Bottled Water As Way To Increase Revenues

A Nevada lawmaker has asked for a bill to be drafted to require bottled water to be subjected to the state sales tax.

Assemblyman Tick Segerblom, D-Las Vegas, said bottled water is included under the sales tax exemption for food in Nevada even though it has no nutritional value.

Segerblom said taxing the beverage would bring in much needed revenue for the upcoming two-year budget. It is time for the Legislature to review all tax exemptions as a way to generate revenue for programs without raising taxes, he said.

Segerblom says he does not support taxing food.

“The purpose as I understand to exempt food is you don’t want to make it any more expensive than possible for people to survive, and obviously again, bottled water is not necessary to survive,” he said.

The only exception in Nevada now is prepared food intended for immediate consumption, which is subject to the sales tax.

FEDS ASK COURT TO FORCE FACEBOOK TO BREAK MESSENGER'S END-TO-END VOICE ENCRYPTION FOR MS-13 GANG PROBE

In secret court proceedings, the U.S. government is trying to force Facebook to help wiretap Messenger. Facebook has declined, so the Justice Department is asking a judge for an order of contempt.

From the Reuters story:

The U.S. government is trying to force Facebook Inc (FB.O) to break the encryption in its popular Messenger app so law enforcement may listen to a suspect’s voice conversations in a criminal probe, three people briefed on the case said, resurrecting the issue of whether companies can be compelled to alter their products to enable surveillance.

The previously unreported case in a federal court in California is proceeding under seal, so no filings are publicly available, but the three people told Reuters that Facebook is contesting the U.S. Department of Justice’s demand.

WATCH: COP DENIED IMMUNITY FOR KILLING UNARMED NAKED VETERAN SUFFERING FROM PTSD

Instead of reaching for his pepper spray or his Taser, a DeKalb County police officer drew his gun and killed an unarmed veteran suffering from bipolar and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Charged with felony murder and several other charges on in 2016, the officer claims the unarmed veteran was aggressively charging towards him even though witnesses dispute his “official” version of events. Now, a judge has ruled that the former cop is not entitled to immunity based on the self-defense claim.

Lawyers for Robert Olsen had argued he had the right to act in self-defense and that the charges against him should be dropped.

As FOX 5 reports, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge J.P. Boulee wrote in an order Tuesday that Olsen didn’t show he had reason to believe deadly force was needed to prevent death or serious injury to himself or someone else. The judge cited concerns about Olsen’s credibility and conflicting testimony.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good on this judge for this decision.

Unfortunately, these wars of conquest have left many of our military in a compromised mental and emotional state, and the concoction of drugs they have been given, haven't helped much at all.

When our Vets are having adverse reactions to the drugs they have been given, they need IMMEDIATE evaluations, and should not have to wait for weeks for them to be "fit in" to the VA's schedule.

From the latest statistics, we understand the following:

VA reveals its veteran suicide statistic included active duty troops also

The article goes on to state:

"The VA released its newest National Suicide Data Report on Monday, which includes data from 2005 through 2015. Much in the report remained unchanged from two years ago, when the VA reported suicide statistics through 2014. Veteran suicide rates are still higher than the rest of the population, particularly among women.

In both reports, the VA said an average of 20 veterans succumbed to suicide every day. In its newest version, the VA was more specific."

This figure is horrifically alarming, particularly for anyone who has family or friends in our military.

WE'RE ALL LAB RATS IN THE LARGEST-EVER MONETARY EXPERIMENT IN HUMAN HISTORY

There are ample warning signs that another serious financial crisis is on the way.

These warning signs are being soundly ignored by the majority, though. Perhaps understandably so.

After 10 years of near-constant central bank interventions to prop up markets and make stocks, bonds and real estate rise in price -- while also simultaneously hammering commodities to mask the inflationary impact of their money printing from the masses -- it’s difficult to imagine that “they” will allow markets to ever fall again.

This is known as the “central bank put”: whenever the markets begin to teeter, the central banks will step in to prop/nudge/cajole the markets back towards the “correct” direction, which is always: Up!

It’s easy in retrospect to see how the central banks have become caught in this trap of their own making, where they're now responsible for supporting all the markets all the time.

ISIS GIVEN ‘BREATHING SPACE’ IN PARTS OF SYRIA UNDER US-BACKED FORCES' CONTROL

Islamic State managed to regain access to Syrian oil fields and make profits from selling oil, a new UN report reveals. While the UN did not point fingers, the IS reemergence seems to occur in areas held by the US-backed forces.
“Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant [IS, formerly ISIL/ISIS], having been defeated militarily in Iraq and most of the Syrian Arab Republic during 2017, rallied in early 2018. This was the result of a loss of momentum by forces fighting it in the east of the Syrian Arab Republic,” the recent report from the UN Security Council’s Sanctions Monitoring Team reads. The document is dated July 27, but was only released to the public this week.

The slow-down gave IS “breathing space to prepare for the next phase of its evolution into a global covert network.” As of June 2018, the terrorist group has been controlling “small pockets of territory in the Syrian Arab Republic on the Iraqi border,” effectively carrying on with its quasi-state ways.

THREE-YEAR-OLD BOY’S BODY IDENTIFIED AT HORRIFIC NEW MEXICO ISLAMIC COMPOUND

A secret which may give the “judge” who let the suspects out on bail, pause. The remains of a three-year-old boy reported missing by his mother, have been identified as the son of one of the suspects. A suspect who is, yet I mention again, out on bail. The remains of his son were buried on the same compound where the school-shooting instruction occurred. Yes, the same case where a “judge” determined the suspects weren’t really a danger.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This feels like an FBI false-flag op that got burned and had to be rolled up.

Palestinians say 2 killed by Israel fire at Gaza border

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and another 60 injured at a protest along the Gaza border amid ongoing Egyptian efforts to broker a cease-fire, Gaza's Health Ministry said Friday.

The protesters threw rocks and firebombs from behind clouds of black smoke of burning tires at Israeli troops, who responded with tear gas and sometimes live fire.

Israel's military said some Palestinians also threw improvised explosives and firebombs at the fence and that several were spotted briefly crossing into Israeli territory. It said troops "fired live rounds selectively according to standard operating procedures."

Hamas officials have been meeting with Egyptian officials in Cairo for days, hammering out details of a possible truce with Israel.

Why we continue to march in Gaza

At the protest, we found the usual: tear gas canisters falling thickly, leaving us barely able to breathe or talk; ambulances and paramedics fanning out everywhere; and the sound of live bullets whizzing past.

The sound of a bullet elicits contradictory feelings. All of us know that it will hit someone. But if we hear it, we are safe, just like when we hear shelling it means it has exploded but not on us.

Then my phone began to ring. I saw my brother’s name on the screen. Before I had a chance to say anything, he urged me to come to the European Hospital, “Now! Ali was shot.”

Classical music censored for Israel

In March 2008 Angela Merkel became the first German chancellor to address the Israeli parliament.

In a speech that never once mentioned the occupation and colonization of Palestinian lands, she described Israel’s security as “part of my country’s raison d’être” – Staatsräson – more precisely, “reason of state,” and asserted that “only if Germany accepts its enduring responsibility for the moral disaster in its history will we be able to build a humane future.”

However, Germany accepts no responsibility for the fact that its “reason of state” has led to a moral disaster perpetrated against the dispossessed Palestinians, violently deprived of a humane future by Israel, with which Merkel claimed Germany shares “the values of freedom, democracy and respect for human dignity.”

Israel lobby group J Street withdraws Rashida Tlaib endorsement

The Israel lobby group J Street has withdrawn its endorsement from Rashida Tlaib.

“After closely consulting with Rashida Tlaib’s campaign to clarify her most current views on various aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that a significant divergence in perspectives requires JStreetPAC to withdraw our endorsement of her candidacy,” J Street announced on Friday.

JStreetPAC is the political action committee of J Street. It endorses and channels contributions to political candidates.

“JStreetPAC was created to demonstrate the wellspring of political support that exists for candidates who take pro-Israel, pro-peace positions, including support for a two-state solution,” J Street said.

Israel kills two Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinians amid protests in the Gaza Strip for the 21st consecutive Friday under the banner of the Great March of Return.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian citizen of Israel was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Karim Ahmad Ali Fatayer, 28, was fatally shot in the head when Israeli soldiers opened fire on unarmed protesters near the boundary fence in Gaza’s central district, the human rights group Al Mezan reported.

Israeli forces also fatally shot in the head Saadi Akram Muhammad Abu Muammar, 27, near Rafah in southernmost Gaza.

More than 100 others were shot with live ammunition on Friday, according to Al Mezan.

Scientists downgrade alert level for Hawaii volcano

Slowing activity at Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has prompted scientists on Friday to downgrade their alert level for the mountain.

The U.S. Geological Survey issued a "watch" for Kilauea's ground hazards, down from a "warning."

But scientists say this doesn't mean the eruption, which has destroyed more than 700 homes since May, is over. Kilauea has paused for days, weeks and even months during previous eruptions.

Lava mostly stopped flowing on Aug. 6. There's a crusted-over lava pond inside a fissure cone and just a few spots where lava is entering the ocean.

The volcano's summit hasn't collapsed since Aug. 2. Sulfur dioxide emissions are the lowest they've been since 2007.

SJW’s Flip Over “DOOM: Eternal” As It Mocks Leftist Political Correctness On Immigration

Nothing makes me giggle more than a brand flagrantly doing something to make social justice warriors angry, and Bethesda’s newest installment of their DOOM franchise has me in stitches.

During the recent QuakeCon in Grapvine, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, Bethesda Software gave a 25 minute presentation of their new game “DOOM: Eternal.” It was during the uninterrupted game play footage that we’re introduced to a holographic “greeter” artificial intelligence.

While this AI only appears several times throughout the gory video, when she does she spouts things that sound an awful lot like what a politically correct, sterilized, social justice figure would say. Apparently, her job is to encourage humans to greet the monstrous demons that have found their way into our realm with kindness and acceptance.

CNN Accused of Intimidating Paul Manafort Jury

CNN is being accused of attempting to intimidate the Paul Manafort jury after the far-left cable channel (and six other anti-Trump outlets) requested the jurors’ names and home addresses.

Manafort, who worked for a short time as President Trump’s campaign chairman during the 2016 presidential election, has been charged by special counsel Robert Mueller with various financial crimes, none of which have anything to do with Trump or the campaign.

Manafort’s fate now sits with the jury, and after two days of deliberations, anti-Trump media outlets like CNN are becoming concerned Manafort could be acquitted, which would be a major blow to Mueller’s credibility and his ability to remove Trump from office — an outcome the establishment media are desperate to orchestrate.

First Info Wars, And Now PragerU Has Found Itself Being Targeted For Censorship On Facebook

The Alex Jones controversy was never about Alex Jones.

One of the things that I and many others had warned the denizens of the internet about when it was announced that Jones had been deplatformed on a number of networks was that he was just the first. Jones was the toe in the hot tub, or the proverbial canary in the coalmine.

The left’s next censorship move may already be upon us, as the conservative education video channel PragerU has noticed some odd things happening to their channel on Facebook, and by “odd” I mean blatant censorship.

“Seth Rich Confidante” Escaped to Russia

Edward Snowden and John Mark Dougan are both relatively young American whistleblowers who have been granted political asylum by the Russian government. Dougan could be the more important of the two “fugitives,” but almost no one in the United States has heard of him, while almost every halfway-informed person has heard of Snowden. This fact speaks well of Dougan, suggesting that he might well be the more genuine of the two.

Doing It Wrong: Steve Martin And Martin Short Think It’s Best Not To Insult Half Their Audience With Trump Jokes

Following my Steve Martin-theme article about Australia (please see here) comes a piece about the actual Lonely Guy. In an interview with Indiewire published Wednesday, The Jerk and his co-star Martin Short explain why they don’t makes jokes about the President in their two-man live show.

You may have caught, by the way, the pair’s Netflix special, An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life. It’s great to see Steve back on the stage, and Short is no slouch himself. They ham it up at one another’s expense — Short tells his white-haired, pasty partner, “You look like a page in a coloring book that hasn’t been colored yet.” One of Steve’s jabs: “I think of you as a renaissance man, and not just because you carry smallpox.”

Personally, I think they should be billed as Steve Martin Short.

In explaining the effectiveness of clowning one another, Steve waxes, “It’s like what families do.”

What about the family of America?

The duo has a no-go policy on Trump attacks:
