CONSPIRACY THEORISTS WERE RIGHT: CORPORATE MEDIA FINALLY FORCED TO ADMIT AMERICA ARMED ISIS

While the mainstream media opted to protect the United States government by treating anyone who dared to question the government’s role in the rise of ISIS as crazy conspiracy theorists, a new report is forcing the MSM to admit that those “conspiracies” were true all along.

Now, mainstream media outlets such as Reuters and USA Today are suddenly reporting that the United States and its close ally, Saudi Arabia, were instrumental in supplying weapons and ammunition to ISIS. Both reports cite an investigation conducted by Conflict Armament Research (CAR), which looked at 40,000 items recovered from Islamic State militants between July 2014 and November 2017.

A final report from CAR titled “Weapons of the Islamic State,” concluded that the vast majority of the weapons used by ISIS were supplied in the thousands, given their origin and the fact that they were found “in numbers far beyond those that would have been available to the group through battlefield capture alone.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

There you have it; the US government resorted to any and all means, including hired mercs, to bring down Bashar al Assad...and failed miserably, as Putin's military out-thought, out-maneuvered, and outdid ISIS on the battlefield.

To Fix The Tax Plan’s $1.4 Trillion Hole, Republicans Will Target Medicare and Social Security

Congressional Republicans are on the cusp of achieving their biggest goal: Passing a tax reform bill. While the bill itself is, in no way, tax “reform”, it does offer tax cuts for certain individuals and businesses. This has been the dream of Republicans in both the House and Senate for years, and it’s an issue on which they’ve used to separate themselves from Democrats who they claim to want higher taxes and bigger government.

Protester in a wheelchair is shot dead by Israeli troops along with two other Palestinians, as riots sparked by Trump's Jerusalem declaration continue in Gaza

Israeli troops shot dead a wheelchair-bound man with no legs in Gaza today as three other Palestinians were killed during protests, medical officials said.

Another 150 were hurt as protests over US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital enter their second week.

Disabled Ibrahim Abu Thurayeh, 29, was taken to al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City after being shot by troops but was later pronounced dead.

Abu Thurayeh, who had previously lost both his legs, was shot along the border east of Gaza City in the north of the Palestinian enclave, the Palestinian health ministry said.

It came shortly after another man nearby was killed in similar circumstances, they added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Eighty homeless people died on Portland streets in 2016: Report

Eighty homeless people have died on the streets in the Portland last year, adding to more than 350 people who have disappeared while homeless in the past six years.

The number marks a 70 percent increase in homeless deaths in Multnomah County, home to Portland, local authorities said Thursday.

This is since officials first began tracking the homeless in 2011 and is in line with similar significant increase in homeless deaths in other large West Coast cities where the homelessness has surged.

The annual report is used as a barometer to track the city’s progress addressing a crisis that has also overwhelmed cities from Seattle to San Diego.

In Seattle, a similar count found 91 homeless people died in 2016 and 115 perished in San Diego. In Sacramento County, that number was 71 people. In Santa Clara County, 132 homeless people died in 2016 — a 164 percent increase since 2011, according to data from county medical examiners in those counties.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This should be completely unacceptable to every state and Federal legislator; and yet, all they seem to be able to do, if they cannot sweep it "under the proverbial rug", is just run the homeless out of one place, and into another.

That is not resolving the problem, just giving it another demographic in which to flourish, and expand.

Observer on US Threats of Anti-Iran Coalition: 'We've Heard About It Since 1979

Washington has warned Iran that it will build an "international coalition" against Tehran after presenting what it said was proof of Iranian-made weapons deliveries to Yemen. Speaking to Sputnik, Iranian political observer Ali Reza Rezahah said his country has been hearing similar, baseless threats and accusations from the US for decades.

At a press conference in a military hangar outside Washington, DC on Thursday in front of what she said were remnants of Iranian-made missiles systems used against the Saudi-led coalition by the Houthi rebels, US UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said that the United States would respond to Iran's "aggression" and support for "terrorist groups" with the creation of a new international coalition.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This reeks of the same codswallop used by President Bush to "sell" the American people on the war against Iraq.

After that, I cannot believe anything anyone in the US government has to say, and certainly not these lies about Iranian weapons capability being used against Saudi Arabia.

DARPA Can Exterminate Humanity: ‘You Could Feasibly WIPE OUT The Human Race’

One of the most dangerous experiments that mankind has ever embarked upon is DARPA’s desire for gene drive technology. Scientists now have the knowledge and the tools they need to create and deliver “Doomsday genes” which can selectively target and exterminate an entire species.

According to Sputnik News, and as previously reported by SHTFPlan, the United States highly-secretive and advanced military research body DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) announced that it will invest tens of millions of dollars into genetic extinction research. While the official aim of this research is said to be fighting harmful insects, like mosquitos which carry Malaria, there are significantly darker implications and speculations surrounding the possible use of such a tool.

Chinese Navy Begins Live-Fire Drills Off Korean Peninsula

Earlier this week, Seoul asked the US to delay joint military exercises with Japan until after the Winter Olympics, ostensibly to avoid provoking North Korea ahead of the 2018 Winter Games. The timing of the request is suspicious - having coincided with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s announcement that the US has offered to begin talks with the North “without preconditions." While State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert walked back Tillerson’s statement the next day, insisting the North cease its weapons tests before talks can proceed, it is possible such a delay - if undertaken - could be construed as an opening gambit.

US drills in the region have stopped, though it’s unclear whether the US will abide by South Korea’s request. However, the brief lull in the area was interrupted Thursday when local media reported that China has decided to hold military drills of its own.

Webmaster's Commentary:

China, in this latest round of military exercises, seems to be indiacting that although it does not want to see war on the Korean Peninsula, it is not afraid to have to fight one, if an attacking country pushes North Korea and China to their limits of non-response.

Russia's Former Economy Minister Sentenced To 8 Years In Jail

Last November, one week after Trump's election and just as the "Russian collusion" narrative in the US was getting warmed up, we reported a bizarre incident in the top echelons, one in which Russia's Economy Minister Alexey Ulyukayev was arrested on suspicion of taking a $2 million bribe in return for his ministry’s support of a positive assessment that would allow state oil company Rosneft to complete a deal to purchase the government's stake in another Russian oil major, Bashneft, after he was monitored and his cell phone was bugged by the FSB for more than a year. The bribe in question involved the sale of Rosneft's 50% stake in Bashneft.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You see, in Russia, when an official, or formal government official does something illegal, they get tried, and they get hard jail time.

In the US, when an official, or former official, does something illegal, they...go on book signing tours, are praised, and get lionized by a gaggle of adoring fans.

Who Ya Gonna Fight? Landmark Treaty Signed To Create EU Army

EU leaders formerly endorsed the harmless sounding Permanent Structured Cooperation, or PESCO, pact on Thursday evening in Brussels. After the shock of Brexit, the goal of defence integration was revived by former military foes, Germany and France, supported by Italy and Spain, in a show of EU unity. A similar proposal was blocked by the French parliament in the 1950s (see below). Now a treaty has been signed which sees the defence union complete by 2025 in what has been described as “one of the most tangible steps in EU integration since Brexit”.

Britain, thanks to Brexit, Malta and Denmark, which has an “opt out” on EU defence issues did not sign the agreement. Standing in the front row on the left of the group photo was the President of the undemocratic European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, who has been calling for an EU army for many years. In 2015, The Guardian reported.

Growing Signs that U.S. Is Preparing to Wage War on North Korea. Trump Administration Scotches Suggestion of Talks with Pyongyang

Tillerson’s remarks to the Atlantic Council appear to be a last ditch attempt to start talks to try to prevent a conflict that could spiral out of control.

“It is not realistic to say we’re only going to talk if you come to the table ready to give up your [nuclear] program,” he said, contradicting the more aggressive stance taken by Trump.

With a note of desperation, Tillerson continued:

“We’re ready to have the first meeting without preconditions. Let’s just meet. We can talk about weather if you want. We can talk about whether there is gonna be a square table or a round table if that’s what you’re excited about. But can we at least sit down and see each other face to face.”

North Korea, however, is well aware that the US demands remain—to scrap its limited nuclear arsenal and abandon all related nuclear and missile programs. Moreover, such a step would involve an ever-more intrusive inspection prying into all aspects of its military and security apparatus.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, just because something is the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly stupid thing the US government could possibly do, is utterly no guarantee that they won't do it.

A war against North Korea by the US government and military would be one of those moves, on a massive scale, and possibly the single biggest blunder the US government will have ever made, on an historic, and lethal level.

Remember; North Korea hasn't done anything to the United States yet. It has simply fired test missiles, as the US and other nuclear-armed countries do as a matter of course.

The Dumbing Down of America – By Design

The most obvious example of how Americans have been dumbed down is through this nation’s failed public education system. At one time not that long ago America reigned supreme as a leading model for the rest of the world providing the best quality free public K-12 education system on the planet. But over the last many decades while much of the rest of the world has been passing us by, it seems an insidious federal agenda has been implemented to condition and brainwash a population of mindless, robotic citizenry that simply does what it’s told, and of course the brainwashing commences early in America’s schools.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do marketing for a living; and it is frightening to listen to people who may well have a high school education, and diploma, but appear to have learned nothing from it, during the time they were in school.

I was very lucky to have come from a very ordinary middle class background, but the importance of language, critical thinking, and education, were very strongly impressed upon me.

Parents today need to embrace those values, because it is not just the schools which have the responsibility to teach our young; it is definitely the parents as well.

My brother and sister-in-law were very smart about how they raised their two girls; there was a lot of focus on homework, and accomplishing their tasks. And when my sister-in-law went back for her Masters in nursing, all three would gather around the dining room table to study.

Both young women now have excellent careers, and are very accomplished sweet, whole, self-realized adults.

N. Korea: Trump taking dangerous step to nuclear war by seeking naval blockade

US President Donald Trump is taking an "extremely dangerous" and "big step" towards nuclear war by seeking a naval blockade, North Korea has stated, according to the official KCNA news agency.
Pyonyang also said it will take "merciless self-defensive" measures against any blockade, as it would consider such a move an "act of war." The North Korean government also believes any blockade would be a "wanton violation" of its sovereignty and dignity, KCNA reported, citing a foreign ministry spokesman.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson previously mentioned the "right to interdict maritime traffic transporting goods" to and from the North, following Pyongyang's latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test on November 29.

Pyongyang also lashed out at the possible US move in a commentary on Sunday in the communist party newspaper Rodong Sinmun.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Secretary of State Tillerson, a word, please; your alleged "right to interdict maritime traffic transporting goods" to and from the North, will be considered, and rightly so, an act of war against North Korea; and then, where are we?!?

Committed to a foreign policy here of more death and destruction (because this country's military can), which is bound to tick off every country with which we still, for the moment, have relations?!?

THAT, sir, would be a completely, catastrophically wrong action here.

We have relations with nuclear-armed countries and are not consistently screaming about regime change in those countries, like Pakistan and India; why should North Korea be different, please tell me?!?

And Russia's President Putin is absolutely correct when he states that the only way North Korea knows it won't get attacked by the US, is to develop weapons as a deterrent to any kind of a military strike.

If you are looking at the world through the lens of North Korean geopolitics, this is the only thing which makes reasonable, logical sense; but unfortunately, it is US foreign policy, through the decades, which has made this their only course of action.

Iraq, Syria, Iran…Are We To Destroy Iran Next?

The Cato report linked above, The Risks of Confrontation with Iran, explains the four confrontation options. These are:

— New, tighter economic sanctions

–Challenging Iranian influence in the region

–Regime change from within

–Starting a war

The Cato conclusion is that America’s best policy option would be for further engagement with Iran to strengthen its more moderate political factions and weaken its hardliners. America used to be widely popular among younger Iranians who want peace and prosperity, not mullahs and wars. The greater threat is Washington’s military-industrial-Congress complex which so benefits from unending wars.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the Cato Institute Report is advocating, is completely, utterly logical; this is why the American Deep State and warhawks will reject it out of hand.

And please remember: Should the US and Saudi Arabian military go to war against Iran, it is highly likely that the Russians will jump into the fray to protect it.

And as we have seen from Russia's grand finale in Syria, Russia has weapons which actually work as advertised.

A Wider World of War

All of this could be seen, however, not just as the foibles of one president surrounded by “his” generals, but as the culmination of a post-9/11 process in which American policymaking has increasingly been militarized. In this context, as the State Department shrinks, don’t think this country has no ambassadors across the planet. America’s Special Operations forces increasingly act as our “diplomats” globally, training and bolstering allies and attempting to undermine enemies more or less everywhere.

Bombed into famine: how Saudi air campaign targets Yemen’s food supplies

At 11.30pm, 10 nautical miles off Yemen’s western Red Sea coast, seven fishermen were near the end of the four hours it had taken to haul their nets bulging with the day’s catch into their fibreglass boat. Suddenly, away from the illumination of the vessel’s large spotlight, one of the men spotted a black silhouette coming towards them.

Moments later a helicopter began circling overhead. The fishermen were well within the 30 nautical mile boundary they had been warned not to cross by leaflets airdropped on land by the Saudi-led coalition. But, without warning, gunfire erupted from the helicopter.

Osam Mouafa grabbed his friend, Abdullah, dragging him into a corner, curling himself into a protective ball as bullets flew through the boat. Shot in both knees, with a third bullet having grazed his thigh, Osam began to feel water rising around him. “The boat became like a sieve,” he said, sitting next to the wooden stick he now needs to walk.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are the kinds of war crimes the US government is enabling in Yemen, with the Saudi Arabian military and government; doesn't it just make you proud to be an American?!?

Take a good, hard look, my brother and sister Americans, at what this US military intervention in the Saudi genocide of Yemen, courtesy of the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Salman, has "accomplished": and I warn you; these images are intensely graphic, but very real.

Images:
Yemeni children killed or maimed for life from Saudi bombings

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition, due to Saudi/US blockade of Yemeni ports

Images: Saudi troops using depleted uranium and chemical weapons in Yemen

Images: severely malformed Yemeni infants, the victims of DU poisoning in the womb (warning: very graphic)

What a "win" in this situation means, from the perspective of Prince Salman, is a complete assassination of every Yemeni person with the audacity to still be breathing.

And to that end, he has ordered more intense bombings than he has before.

Saudis Bomb Yemen Palace as War Takes New Turn With Saleh Death

When I was a kid growning up, I never realized that this country routinely participates in war crimes; now, I live with the grim realisation that this is true every, single waking hour.

Whether President Trump had a moment of conscience (which I doubt, as he has been chatting up the US selling of bombs to Saudi Arabia as, in essence, good for American business), or was attempting to "soften" the optics of announcing that the US recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital when he requested the Saudis to cease the Yemeni blockade, Trump calls on Saudi government to end Yemeni blockade that request fell on deaf ears.

Unless, and until, there is ia political resolution here, Yemen's future will be more assassinations; more starvation; more disease; more displacement of innocent civilians; and continued Saudi and US military destruction and devastation visited upon that country in unimaginable proportions.

Iran: US Presentation of Iranian Arms in Yemen Fabricated

The Iranian government has issued a statement Thuesday denying that a presentation earlier in the day by the US represented proof that they’d been sending arms to the Shi’ite Houthis in Yemen to resist the US-backed Saudi invasion, saying it was a ‘fabrication.”

The US presentation centered on a short-range ballistic missile fired by Yemen at the Riyadh airport, which US officials claim was Iranian-made and Iranian-sent. US Ambassador Nikki Haley talked up building a new coalition against Iran.

Iran’s Foreign Minister likened Haley’s presentation to Colin Powell’s 2003 WMD speech about Iraq, which precipitated the disastrous US invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, is entirely correct in his assessment and analogy here.

Pence delays Middle East trip in case needed for U.S. tax vote

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence will delay an upcoming Middle East trip by a few days in case a tie-breaking vote is needed from him for tax cut legislation in Congress, a senior White House official said on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Reuters, Reuters, Reuters; this is really a "lipstick on a pig" moment for you, and the optics of this lame excuse are just officially horrible.

No one in the Middle East, except, perhaps Bibi Netanyahu, wants to recieve Pence because of President Trump's announcement, last week, that he recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

The Palestinians, and leaders of other Middle Eastern countries now understand that the US government can never, ever again be considered as an honest broker of peace in the region, will always favor Israel, no matter what it does, and collectively has the morals of a dead tree stump.

President Trump threw the Palestinian people under a bus last week, most probably in return for a $100 million dollar campaign donation from Sheldon Adelson in 2016, and the Palestinians have every right to be infuriated.

That fury resulted in the following action on the part of Abbas:

Abbas won't meet U.S. Vice President Pence: official

That the President did not understand that there would be severe international consequences to his act last week of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital indicates one of two things; he is either painfully naive, or is getting some really hideous advice from his "President Whisperers" when it comes to thorny geopolitical issues in the Middle East.

Obama State Department Let Clinton And Huma Make Off With Boxes Of ‘Muslim Engagement’ DocsJAC

The Obama State Department allowed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her top aide Huma Abedin to remove call logs, scheduling documents and files described as “Muslim Engagement” from government premises by labeling the records “private,” Judicial Watch has learned.

Judicial Watch obtained records about the document removals in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for all forms authorizing the removal of “personal papers and non-record materials,” according to a Thursday press release.

“These new documents show the Obama State Department had a deal with Hillary Clinton to hide her calls logs and schedules, which would be contrary to FOIA and other laws,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “When are the American people going to get an honest investigation of the Clinton crimes?”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I (singularly) unsurprised by this move on Obama's part?!?

More evidence surfaces showing FBI colluded to get Hillary Clinton off the hook for email server (Video)

Newly released documents reveal that former FBI Director James Comey’s draft statement on the Hillary Clinton email investigation was edited in a way that watered down the the FBI’s findings.

James Comey’s statement was changed in Hillary Clinton’s favor, as new documents released on Thursday by Senator Ron Johnson (chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee reveal) show that the FB made edits to Hillary’s draft statement that essentially resulted in no formal indictment.

Newly released documents reveal that then-FBI Director James Comey’s draft statement on the Hillary Clinton email probe was edited numerous times before his public announcement, in ways that seemed to considerably water down the bureau’s findings.

The edits also showed that references to specific potential violations of statutes on “gross negligence” of classified information and “misdemeanor handling” were removed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The American people now are slowly beginning to comprehend the depth and breadth of FBI collusion to "rescue Hillary" on the email server issue; and they are feeling both very angry, and very betrayed.

The FBI had better clean its own house to regain any shred of credibility with the American people; otherwise, the entire agency should be sacked, period, end of discussion.

NEW CITY ORDINANCE OUTLAWS GIVING MONEY TO PANHANDLERS, VIOLATORS WILL BE FINED & JAILED

Wichita used to be known as “Cowtown” because of its cattle trade but now if people stop and give something as small as a cheeseburger to a homeless person they run the risk going to jail and paying a $500 fine. The ordinance was recently approved by the city council and now complicates matters for both panhandlers and philanthropic citizens alike.

Beat downs and arrests by police are, unfortunately, becoming a larger and larger part of the homeless culture. Not only do police regularly harass the homeless but TFTP has reported on incidents in which officers have confiscated blankets and tentsfrom homeless people in the middle of the winter.

Whether the dehumanization is to make way for the up and coming comic book festival or just a run of the mill sadistic police gang murder, homeless folks in the US are finding themselves in an increasingly hostile police state.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The criminalization of homelessness continues apace in this country.

If He's Lost Fox Viewers...

The most important poll number to come out this week had nothing to do with defeated Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. It had to do with Fox News and Donald Trump. We'll get to the numbers in a minute.
***
But there's a difference between favorable and helpful. Much of the opinion stuff essentially involves mirroring Trump's Twitter feed, attacking Trump critics and railing about the "rigged system," "fake news" and the "deep state." It's so much muchness, as the British say.
***
Which brings me to those poll numbers. Suffolk University and USA Today released a poll this week which found that among people who trust Fox News the most, the president's approval rating has been sinking. His favorability among Fox devotees in June was 90 percent. In October, it was 74 percent. This week? Fifty-eight percent. If that trend continues, he will be underwater with the Fox audience long before the 2018 midterms.

US states consider using powerful fentanyl to execute inmates

Fentanyl, a potent drug playing a major role in the US opioid crisis described by Donald Trump as a "plague," is now under consideration for use in lethal cocktails to execute inmates.

The states of Nevada and Nebraska are planning to supply prison executioners with the opioid painkiller -- which killed more than 20,000 people in the United States in 2016 -- drawing criticism from doctors and activists who call the move a dangerous human experiment.

They warn of serious risks posed to death row prisoners, who effectively become guinea pigs against their will.

Fentanyl, which also acts as an anesthetic, is 50 times more powerful than heroin and up to 100 times stronger than morphine.

The bid to use fentanyl as a capital punishment tool is due to a shortage of drugs normally used in lethal injections and is not grounded in scientific analysis, according to Deborah Denno, an expert on lethal injection at Fordham University.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think that the death penalty, as carried out in the United States, is morally wrong and repugnant, because it is inevitably the poor, and poorly legally represented, criminals who have this sentence passed upon them.

A Hillary Clinton, even if she started stabbing people to death in broad daylight, in front of witnesses (of course, someone like her most probably has assassins on speed dial, but I digress), would never have such sentence imposed upon her due to her personal wealth and connections.

She would, of course, have the money to hire a "dream team" of attornies to get the charges either dropped, or substantially modified. And she would not spend one day in jail, following her plea bargain.

Not so for America's poor.

And the chain of evidence, including DNA evidence, is handled so sloppily here in the United States that there is a national student movement, called the innocence project, to exonerate wrongly accused and convicted people through examining DNA evidence:

The Innocence Project

That the US needs such an organisation is an horrific embarrassment to its judicial process.

Until we can restore life to those wrongly executed, the US penal system has no right in taking it. I am no snowflake or bleeding heart; but life incarceration at hard labor, seems to me to be a reasonable alternative to execution.
