North Korea Planning To Test Fire Missile Capable Of Reaching U.S. West Coast; Stocks Slide

Is this the stormy weather that Donald Trump was referring to yesterday?

Russian news agency Sputnik reports, that according to a Russian lawmaker, who has just returned from North Korea, Pyongyang is ready to test a missile capable of reaching the US western coast.

"They are preparing for a new test of a longer-range missile. They even gave us mathematical calculations that they believe prove that their missile can hit the western coast of the United States," Morozov said.
"In the near future, they are going to carry out, as far as we understand, yet another launch of a missile, but this time with a longer range," the lawmaker said, adding that the general mood in Pyongyang is "rather belligerent."

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these reports are true, it may well push President Trump over the edge in terms of a pre-emptive attack against North Korea (which may well lead to China entering such a conflict on North Korea's side).

And then, we have this ominous headline from today:

US warship approaches Korean Peninsula for drills with South Korea But underneath that, the following text continues:

"The USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier along with a guided-missile cruiser and a nuclear-powered submarine are on their way to the Korean Peninsula to prepare for a potential war with North Korea, while Pyongyang reportedly plans new missiles tests.

As of Friday afternoon, the USS Ronald Reagan, with nearly 80 aircraft on board, was in the South China Sea on its way to the shores of US ally South Korea."

I do not know how long it takes an aircraft carrier to transit from the South China Sea to South Korea; but my gut is telling me something wicked this way comes, and soon, between the US and NOKO.

BLS Caught Fabricating Wage Data

While it's not the first time we have observed the BLS manipulate data (the last time was in "This Is What Happens When The Bureau Of Labor Statistics Is Caught In A Lie"), never before had we actually caught the Bureau Of Labor Statistics openly fabricating data. Until now.

As reported earlier today, in one of the most closely watched statistics in today's payrolls report, the BLS reported that the annual increase in Average Weekly Earnings was a whopping 2.9%, above the 2.5% expected, and above the 2.5% reported last month. On the surface this was a great number, as the 2.9% annual increase - whether distorted by hurricanes or not - was the highest since the financial crisis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I not surprised?!?

California Can Now Jail People For Misusing Gender Pronouns

California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill Thursday.

The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code.

Known as the “LGBT Senior Bill Of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.

The U.S. Congress Is Trying to Give the F-35 a Pass for All Its Problems

The $700-billion defense authorization bill for 2018 contains a number of provisions that are likely to increase the risk of cost overruns for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program and undermine the ability of Pentagon officials and Congress to assess the combat suitability of new weapon systems in the future.

One of the central debates for the F-35 program is whether it will be more combat-capable than the systems it is replacing. The most controversial of these claims has been that the F-35 would be an acceptable close air support replacement for the A-10 — which even Air Force officials eventually backed away from.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WOW, I wonder how much, per Congressional representative, did Lockheed Martin have to pay for the language in this Defense Authorization Bill?!?

It must have cost them a bundle.

"The Calm Before The Storm"

'Calm before the storm': Trump remark sparks foreign policy speculation

FOX NEWS: President Donald Trump said Thursday it was “the calm before the storm” as he met with senior military leaders amid increasing tensions around the globe and speculation of changes in foreign policy.

The president's use of the ominous phrase prompted others to question what he meant by it – to which the president replied even more ominously: “You’ll find out.”

Trump said he expected the Pentagon brass in the room to offer him “a broad range of military options, when needed, at a much faster pace.”

Venezuela raises possibility of Russian military help to counter US

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Wednesday raised the possibility of getting military support from Russia to boost its defensive capabilities after President Donald Trump threatened to use force against the South American nation.

Speaking at an energy forum in Moscow, Maduro said his administration will discuss increased military cooperation with the Russian government during his visit this week.

“I am sure, even if we do not ask, we will be given even more support to boost Venezuela’s defense capacity and sovereignty," Maduro said.

Slain US Troops Were Told Niger Area Was ‘Low-Risk’

US “training” operations in Niger took a turn for the deadly on Wednesday, when three US soldiers were killed, and two others wounded in an ambush by unspecified “enemies” near the Niger-Mali border. These are the first US combat deaths recorded in Niger, with another US soldier killed in a vehicle accident earlier this year.

The incident is raising a lot of questions, however, because US commanders had been telling everyone involved that the patrols were “low risk” and that there was little hostile activity in the area.

Now officials are trying to figure out what happened, and whether patrols became so predictable that the troops in the country made themselves a target in the area. For now, even who carried out the attack is subject to speculation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These troops were lied to, about the risk factor of their deployment here: their COs should have been much more forthright with them, about the real dangers they were facing.

National armies are the "hired guns" of major corporations, colluding with the governments which are their willing "errand boys", in order to expropriate foreign natural resources, to which they have no moral right, and make sure that those resources are only sold in specific currencies.

This is precisely what the US government is looking to do in Niger.

Natural resources: uranium, coal, iron ore, tin, phosphates, gold, molybdenum, gypsum, salt, petroleum

Trump Will Declare Iran Nuclear Deal ‘Not in the National Interest’

Officials familiar with the situation say that President Trump is intending to “decertify” the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran ahead of the October 15 deadline. With no evidence Iran is violating the deal in any way, he is going to instead claim it is just “not in the national interest of the United States” to honor the deal’s terms.

This has much the same effect as falsely claiming Iran to be in violation, as it would put the nuclear deal up for a vote in Congress. Though Congress has long expressed opposition to the deal, it’s likely to be controversial to cancel it years after its implementation for literally no reason.

President Trump is to give a speech surrounding the matter, expected next Thursday, and will lay out a broad strategy of confronting Iran, trying to blame them for all Middle East instability and terrorism. This would both be aimed at justifying the decertification, and setting the stage for another flurry of sanctions and threats to attack Iran

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: walking away from the P5+1 deal will probably go down as the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid decision ever to be made by your administration so far.

To blame Iran for the instability in the Middle East, when it is the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of America which are generally responsible for creating the arc of instability (not to mention insanity) in the Middle East, moving Westward toward Russia, and Eastward toward China and Asia, appears, to most sane observers, to typify the behaviour here as that of the head of an empire which is on the desperate, utter brink of collapse.

Iran, as you should know, has not started a war in over 200 year; the same can hardly be said for either Israel, or the US, unfortunately.

IF you force the US to walk away from this deal, do you think that any leader of any country on the planet will believe that the US government can ever negotiate in good faith again?!? Mr. President, the short answer is, HELL, no!!

Walking away from this deal will probably translate into Iran getting back into their nuclear weapons program, because, like North Korea's Kim Jung Un, President Rouhani will realize that the only way to avoid an outright invasion from the US is to have a credible deterrent against it.

The P5+1 program is working; and the guys and gals at the IAEA have continued to certify, since the deal went into effect, that Iran is complying.

And Mr. President, I need to ask: what country's "national interests" are "injured" by the US complying with the deal?!?

You need to take a good, careful look at your key advisors, that unholy triumverate of "president whisperers" consisting of Kelly, Mattis, and Mc Master, who seem to believe that the only solutions to US geopolitical problem are more wars, and wars only; but there is a fourth, and we both know that is one Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu.

I feel compelled to strongly caution you that although Netanyahu and Tel Aviv have cheerled for regime change in Tehran for decades, they fully expect that outcome to be purchased primarily at the costs of American blood, and America money.

Also, sir, there is that "6000 lb gorilla in the living room" snoozing on the Bosendorfer on the issue of an attack against Iran; the name of the 6000 lb Gorilla is Russia. Russian military and civilian politicians have sworn, consistently, that should Iran be attacked militarily, Russia will come to its aid.

Mr. President, this country is broke; its military does not have the weaponry; the troop strength; the manufacturing; or the money to successfully engage militarily with the Russians in Iran.

I therefore respectfully, and sincerely, ask you to reconsider this decertification; this decision will, unfortunately, most likely, lead this country into a world war.

This is the remarkable true story of the world that Big Oil is creating, and how they plan to bring it about.

UN Blacklists Saudi Coalition for Killing Children in Yemen

In keeping with a draft copy of the report leaked early this week, the annual UN blacklist for harming children in armed conflict has named the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen as a major violator of the rights of children, noting that their war efforts have killed or injured 683 Yemeni children in 2016, and bombed dozens of schools and hospitals.

The report confirmed that Saudi actions “objectively led to” 683 child casualties, and 38 verified incidents, They listed al-Qaeda, ISIS, and the Shi’ite Houthi movement as well, though all had lower casualty counts.

Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen in early 2015, with a coalition that includes Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Senegal, Sudan, and the United States. US involvement has included targeting support for Saudi warplanes, in-air refueling for Saudi bombers, and naval participation in the blockade of Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the Saudis have to do is threaten to withdraw funding to the UN, and these accusations will simply melt away again.

This blacklisting will do absolutely nothing to stop the continued Yemeni genocide by the Saudis.

Oh, and BTW; the US participation in these activities makes the US complicit in war crimes in Yemen; how do you like being a citizens of a country committig war crimes in the Middle East with impunity?!?

I do not, thank you very much.

Netanyahu: Israel Won’t Accept Palestinian Unity Deal

Speaking at a conference of the ruling Likud Party, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ruled out accepting the Palestinian unity government, should one ultimately come into place as a result of ongoing negotiations among Palestinian factions.

Netanyahu insisted that any Palestinian unity would necessarily come at the expense of Israel’s existence, and that he would not allow this. Other top Israeli officials also condemned the reconciliation talks, suggesting they amounted to the Abbas government “cozying up to a murderous terror organization.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is just another stalling tactic to prevent meaningful peace negotiations from happening, which is why Netnayahu is refusing talks...again.

And to characterise Fatah as "...A murderous, terroist organisation"?!?

Forgive me, Mr. Prime Minister; I thought for a moment that you were talking about the IDF, and its slow motion genocide against Palestinian kids!

Israel seals off West Bank and Gaza as Sukkot begins: Eleven-day border closure hits some four million Palestinians as week-long Jewish holiday commences.

Israeli authorities have sealed off the occupied West Bank and the already besieged Gaza Strip for 11 days, as Jewish celebrations for the Sukkot holiday commence.

At midnight on Tuesday, all crossings to the West Bank and Gaza Strip were closed off to some four million Palestinians in the territories.

Many of those affected by the move hold Israeli work permits and cross over to go to their jobs daily.

Banned from entering Israel, they now stand to lose their livelihood for the next 10 days.

But Kamal Haddad, a local official in Beit Iksa, a village northwest of Jerusalem, told Al Jazeera that workers in the area have already been denied entry into Israel and settlement construction sites for several days.

"They [Israeli soldiers] roam around settlement construction sites in the West Bank and if they see anyone there, they immediately send them back to their villages," he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But of course, what else could the world possibly expect from such a vilely apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons, against their Palestinian captives?!?

That rumble under your feet you sensed this morning was the earthquake caused by the decision of one of America’s closest allies, Saudis Arabia, to join Turkey in buying Russia’s vaunted S-400 surface to air missile system.

The announcement carried extra diplomatic weight as Saudi King Salman was visiting Russia when the Saudis made the announcement.

Former NATO and European Command leader, retired Adm. James Stavridis, called the sale “a step backwards in US foreign and defense policy.” Since World War II, when President Roosevelt agreed with King Faisal that we would guarantee Saudi sovereignty in return for access to their oil, the kingdom has been one of our closest allies, notwithstanding the 911 attacks led by Saudi citizens.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Retired Adm. James Stavridis, a word, please.

It is very simple; the Russian weapons systems work as advertised, as demonstrated by the incredible performance they have given in Syria; right now, American weaponry is in a state of utter shambles, courtesy of lousy engineering and huge cost overruns at the public's expense, which the US military and Federal government simply allow to continue, courtesy of overt and covert "contributions" to political campaigns, and other causes near and dear to various movers and shakers in the Bowels of Power in the government of the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of America.

The entire culture of the weapons manufacturing industry has to change, and quickly, in order to fix this; otherwise, the US military will continue to be technologically gapped behind other weapons manufacturers in countries like Russia and China.

And that snit about the Saudis and 9/11: 9/11 was an inside job, co-facilitated by Israeli intelligence.

HomeNewsFBI must work undercover with ISIS, even during attacks, to climb group's ranks - criminal attorney

Entrapment is never good, it is always harmful, and it is never a way to find the perpetrators of an attack because criminals are going to be able to carry this out, Jennifer Breedon, international criminal law attorney, told RT.

The FBI is being sued by a victim of an ISIS-inspired attack in 2015, during a controversial 'Draw Muhammad' cartoon drawing contest in Texas. The lawsuit alleges the bureau may have been complicit in the terrorist incident by not acting upon early warnings signs.

RT spoke with Jennifer Breedon, international criminal law attorney, for her take on the case.

RT: What do you think about the Garland terror attack controversy?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I singularly unsurprised at this?!?

The FBI has frequently demonstrated a completely callous disregard for human life, if their geopolitical objectives are achieved.

Looks like Russian President Vladimir Putin is back at it.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that hackers working for the Russian government have stolen data describing how US intelligence agencies infiltrate foreign computer networks and how they defend against cyberattacks. The data was stolen after a National Security Agency contractor removed the highly classified material and put it on his home computer, according to WSJ’s anonymous sources.

News of the hack, which hasn’t been exposed previously, explains the federal government’s abrupt crackdown on Moscow-based security firms Kaspersky Labs. As WSJ explains, the contractor may have been targeted after hackers identified the files thanks to the contractor’s use of a popular antivirus software created by Kaspersky.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No sourcing?!?

Since, please, did WSJ get so completely sloppy in their "alleged" reporting?!?

And what moronic National Security Agency contractor would have been so completely stupid as to put sensitive material like that on their home computer?!?

Is the major prerequisite necessary to working for the NSA complete, and abysmal technological stupidity?!?

OK, WSJ: either source, and do what is supposed to be your job, or shut the flip up; this is simply more anonymous demonization of Russia, which we all understand is part of the prelude to a shooting war against it.

And to your Editor in Chief, Gerard Baker, a word, please, sir; whatever compensation you are getting, overtly or covertly, from elements of the Deep State in this country, desperate to see this country at war with Russia (and China) to cut off the rise of the ruble and yuan in international trade, it cannot possibly be enough!!

At least two Homeland Security agents took cash and prostitutes from Colombian crime lords in exchange for erasing their criminal records, according to the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

In a story befit for the ages, the two agents, one named Christopher Ciccione and the other unnamed, enjoyed a lavish evening in Bogota with fine wine, a suitcase full of cash, a famous singer, prostitutes, and an army colonel–all in exchange for helping at least two major crime lords.

Both agents reportedly worked for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Miami, Florida.

According to a Department of Justice indictment released last week, Special Agent Christopher Ciccione worked through a Colombian intermediary, Juan Velasco, to organize a bribery scheme with crime lord Jose Piedrahita, an infamous narcotrafficker and assassin associated with the Cali Cartel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That would be perfectly predictable; after all, those would have been the years of the Clinton Presidency, and Bill and Hill didn't care who they got the money from, for favors; in fact, there is a marvellous photo of Hillary Clinton posing by the White House Christmas Tree with convicted drug felon Hose Cabrera.

Hillary Clinton posing with convicted drug felon, Jose Cabrera, at a White House Christmas party

She had to know; so why did she do this, understanding what the optics would look like?!?

Because she believed, and still believes to this day, that she could, and can, do anything with impunity, no matter how ugly it may look, and get away with it.

Hey, money from convicted drug felons; accepting money from heads of state at the Clinton Foundation, who had the LGBT citizens of their countries jailed, or executed; or heads of state where women routinely got genitally mutilated; that was just fine with her, as long as the money continued to flow.

The Syrian Army was on its way across the Euphrates river to liberate the oil- and gas-fields east of Deir Ezzor city. The U.S. countered the move. It sent a small forces of Arab tribal mercenaries who were earlier allied with the Islamic State (ISIS). These proxy forces came from a northern direction and moved through Islamic State held areas without fighting and casualties up to the walls of Deir Ezzor city.

The Syrian army was about to win the race when it started to cross the Euphrates. But it suddenly was surprised by a large al-Qaeda attack in southern Idleb province. That area had been quiet for months. 29 Russian troops who were supervising a deescalation zone there were nearly encircled by al-Qaeda forces. They only escape after an emergency relief operation had cut through al-Qaeda lines. The Russian Ministry of Defense accused the U.S. of having communicated the position of the Russian platoon to al-Qaeda.
