Quentin Tarantino Ashamed He Didn’t Do More to Stop Weinstein

Director Quentin Tarantino has said he knew about Harvey Weinstein’s alleged treatment of women and is ashamed he didn’t stop working with him.

Tarantino said that he heard stories from several prominent actresses but didn’t take action at the time. He said that “everyone” close to Weinstein had heard of at least one such case.

Speaking to The New York Times, he said: “I wish I had taken responsibility for what I heard. If I had done the work I should have done then, I would have had to not work with him.”

Gay Hollywood agent Tyler Grasham fired amid teen sex assault allegations

Amid a flurry of sexual misconduct allegations, and after losing two high-profile clients because of the charges, Hollywood agent Tyler Grasham has been fired from the Agency for the Performing Arts (APA).

“Tyler Grasham’s employment with APA has been terminated effective immediately,” APA spokesperson Manfred Westphal told The Wrap.

Grasham was placed on a “leave of absence” earlier Friday, and at the time, APA said it planned to privately investigate the sexual harassment allegations of two men, Blaise Godbe Lipman and Lucas Ozarowski.

Hollywood Ending: Big Studios Cutting Losses This Weekend, Pulling Flops From Theaters Earlier Than Usual

It’s a bizarre season in Hollywood. Almost nothing is “working,” and the studios can’t afford to waste any more money hoping things will turn around. They’re pulling flops from theaters earlier than usual.
This weekend, for example, Warner Bros. is putting out a white flag on “Blade Runner” after three tough weeks. They’ve cut the number of theaters showing Denis Villeneuve’s beautiful film by 855. So far, “Blade Runner” has made just $66 million. Audiences have not clamored to it. And now, week by week, Warners will quietly take it away.

British Musician Takes On Vaccine Issues With A Musical Video

By Catherine J. Frompovich

Isn’t there something dramatically and incongruously wrong about such a deliberate refusal to stop medical child abuse perpetrated upon infants, toddlers and teens by federal, state and local health agencies with apparent greased lightning support of advertising and lobbying from Big Pharma to extol vaccines as safe and effective?

Nevertheless, one songwriter, Daz Nez, has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with his song “Word to the Wise” he co-titled to “Always Reject Vaccines” with a video version of it...

Ann Coulter: Weinstein's Pimps: Revenge of The Ugly Girls

According to Ronan Farrow's comprehensive article in The New Yorker, "(m)ultiple sources" told him how Weinstein bragged that he could use his allies in the press to crush anyone who crossed him.

Longtime editor Tina Brown -- ironically, one of Weinstein's erstwhile clean-up gals -- told Charlie Rose: "What I found really unsettling was how many journalists, frankly, were on his payroll. I mean, you know, Harvey would have everyone on his payroll. All the people at the (New York) Post and people in all the tabloids, people writing stuff, entertainment writers, gossip writers."

I knew the gossip pages were written by PR agents, but I didn't realize they were written by sexual predators, too. I was curious about exactly who was protecting Harvey and, luckily, I have a Nexis account. The full list would take me well over my word limit, so this column will focus on the tabloid most slavishly devoted to protecting Weinstein's good name: the New York Post.

Bombshell: Longtime Clinton Friend Admits ‘Warning’ Top-Level Democrats About Weinstein

Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, the creator of the iconic 90s sitcom Designing Women and a close friend for decades of Bill and Hillary Clinton, admits that she not only knew of producer Harvey Weinstein’s predations, but that she warned “top-level” Democrats about him.
Buried deep within a Hollywood Reporter guest column, Bloodworth-Thomason drops this bombshell (with a deflecting shot at Fox News): “I confess to having had no problem warning at least three top-level Democratic operatives against allowing Harvey Weinstein to host political fundraisers. A warning that evidently (and to the glee of Fox News) fell on deaf ears.”

She also says she was a member of “a ‘Let’s Bring Harvey Weinstein Down’ lunch club” and appears to express some disbelief towards those who, “despite knowing him for decades,” now “announce they had no idea what was going on.”

To this, she writes, “OK. Whatever.”

Why it's also hard for Hollywood's men to talk about being sexually assaulted

The Harvey Weinstein scandal has opened up a dialogue of epic proportions surrounding issues of sexual assault and harassment, with numerous women in Hollywood speaking up to tell their stories. They’ve been joined by a small chorus of men who shared that they, too, had been victims of sexual assault and harassment, perpetrated by men of power in the industry.

The discussion began with Terry Crews, when the actor and former NFL star took to Twitter to share how the Weinstein news was giving him PTSD. Why? “My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates,” Crews explained in a series of tweets.

Weinstein Sex Scandal May Destroy Michael Moore And Quentin Tarantino

The Weinstein Company owns the rights to Moore’s upcoming anti-Trump documentary Fahrenheit 11/9. The documentary uses a play on Moore’s previous success, Fahrenheit 9/11 which criticized President Bush and the War on Terror.

Without the Weinstein Company’s financial backing, the film could fizzle out, as several of Moore’s recent documentaries have done anyway.

Moore was looking forward to a promising theatrical release for his latest film next month. Now, it looks as if the film will have a limited audience if it’s even released at all.

Of course the mainstream media did everything they could to cover up for Hollywood favorite Robert De Niro. His regular dealings with the brothel, proved by court documents, received little to no media coverage.

Jennifer Lawrence reveals she once had to do a naked casting line-up and the producer deemed her 'fuckable'

Inspired by the women in Hollywood who have been sharing their experiences of sexual harassment over the past couple of weeks, Jennifer Lawrence has recounted a "degrading and humiliating" casting process that saw her asked to take part in a nude line-up with other actresses, the producers' subsequent comments now being about her suitability for the role but her weight and "fuckability".

Discussing the early years of her career, she said during a speech at Elle's 'Women in Hollywood' event on Monday night: "During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me.

"We are stood side-by-side with only tape covering our privates. After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet."

Screenwriter close to Weinstein calls out Hollywood: 'Everybody f**king knew'

If you've tired of hearing Hollywood A-listers feign shock while sending proverbial "thoughts and prayers" to Harvey Wesintein's sexual assault victims, you're not alone.

Scott Rosenberg, a screenwriter (Beautiful Girls, Con Air, High Fidelity) who worked closely with Weinstein and Co. for a little under a decade, has had enough of the bullshit, too. And he's saying something not too many people in the industry are saying right now: "I am sorry."

"Everybody fucking knew," he wrote (not once, not twice, but three times) in a lyrical, near novella-length Facebook response to those shrinking away from responsibility in enabling Weinstein's behavior.

Hollywood's general unwillingness to face the music of personal accountability for the rot in their own industry added insult to injury in the onslaught of allegations. Because those (seemingly) well-meaning yet spineless responses only ensure one thing: that this will keep happening.

Kate Winslet’s shameful hypocrisy over Weinstein, Polanski and Woody Allen is why I don’t believe morally repugnant Hollywood will ever change

So forgive me if I’m not massively convinced by Tinsel Town’s panicky little bout of ethical house cleaning.

In fact, the whole on-going torrent of nauseating hypocrisy surrounding the Weinstein scandal makes me puke.

It’s epitomized by British actress Kate Winslet, who is suddenly very, VERY keen for all of us to know exactly how far she went to stand up to Weinstein.

Winslet, 42, told the LA Times she deliberately refused to thank him when she won an Oscar in 2009 for starring in his movie The Reader.

I remember being told, “Make you sure you thank Harvey if you win”,’ she recounted. ‘And I remember turning around and saying, ‘”No, I won’t. I won’t.” And it was nothing to do with not being grateful. If people aren’t well-behaved, why would I thank him?’

Lest we be in any doubt as to what happened, Ms Winslet emphasised:
‘That was deliberate. That was absolutely deliberate.’

I think we get the drift, Kate.

They’re All In It Together – Weinstein Paid for Bill Clinton’s Legal Fees During His Sex Abuse Scandal

When Bill Clinton was at the height of the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, Hollywood was by his side, offering donations for his legal fees, and one significant donor was a man who is now going through his own sex scandal—Harvey Weinstein.

More than 20 women have publicly accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, sexual assault or rape. After the New York Times and the New Yorker published in-depth stories detailing the testimonies of women who have been abused by Weinstein—and in many cases, paid off with airtight non-disclosure agreements—the stories have continued to come to light.

Harvey Clinton, I mean Bill Weinstein

Let’s see. Here are a few choice bits culled from dailywire.com:

In 1992, Hillary describes one of Bill’s women, Gennifer Flowers, as “some failed cabaret singer who doesn’t even have much of a résumé to fall back on.” She says, if given the chance to cross-examine Flowers in court, “I mean, I would crucify her.”

Hillary on Monica Lewinsky: “narcissistic loony toon.”

Hillary, while practicing as a lawyer, defends a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. She wins the case. Then on tape, she’s caught saying, “He [her client] took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs.” Then she breaks up laughing.

Hillary talking about Weinstein has the moral high ground of a dump truck unloading toxic chemicals in a landfill.

WHY FRIDAY THE 13TH BECAME UNLUCKY – LEST WE FORGET (with related hilarious nsfw video)

...It was generally agreed that the charges were false, but...King Philip, who was already deeply in debt to the Templars from his war with the English, decided to seize upon the rumours ...as a way of freeing himself from his debts. At dawn on Friday, 13 October 1307 ...King Philip IV ordered de Molay and scores of other French Templars to be simultaneously arrested....Claims were made that... Templar ...recruits were forced to spit on the Cross, deny Christ, and engage in indecent kissing ...the order was said to have encouraged homosexual practices. The Templars were charged with numerous other offences such as financial corruption, fraud, and secrecy.

Some speculations regarding the accusations of homosexuality in addition to heresy: this was no doubt to seal their fate, since EVERY Catholic Priest knows intimately just how wrong these are...

To which this is the appropriate reponse, for the role the Church had in the murder of the Templars:

'Inside Edition' Correspondent Lisa Guerrero Accuses Steven Seagal of Propositioning Her on Movie Set.

Guerrero remembered being happy about the line reading audition, and at that point, there were no red flags surrounding Seagal, who was also producing Fire Down Below. That changed, however, when Guerrero received a call from her manager later in the day.

“That same day my manager called. ‘Steven wants to offer you the lead,’ she said, ‘but you have to go back to his home for a private rehearsal tonight.'”

Lisa Guerrero declined Steven Seagal’s alleged invitation to a private rehearsal, and as a result, the lead female role in Fire Down Below went to Marg Helgenberger instead. As a consolation, Guerrero was still given a small part in the film, getting listed as an unnamed “Blonde Beauty” in the credits. But she claims that Seagal and one of his male crew members might have been making crude comments about her when she arrived on the set.

“He was looking at me and then he’d say something to them and there’d be laughter.”

Amazon Studios Chief Suspended After Sexual Harassment Claim

Roy Price, the executive in charge of Amazon’s growing investment in movies and television shows, was suspended by the company on Thursday after a Hollywood producer publicly accused him of making unwanted sexual advances toward her.

Mr. Price, the head of Amazon Studios, was accused of lewdly propositioning Isa Dick Hackett, a producer of one of its most popular shows, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published earlier in the day.

In the interview, Ms. Hackett, an executive producer of the Amazon series “The Man in the High Castle,” said that Mr. Price had repeatedly made unwanted sexual advances toward her two years ago after a dinner at Comic-Con in San Diego.

When reached by The New York Times on Thursday, Ms. Hackett said she was “talked out” but said that the details in the article, written by Kim Masters, were accurate.

“I just wanted to get that out,” Ms. Hackett said in the brief phone interview.

Harvey Weinstein: English actor says alleged sexual assault ruined film career

“As soon as I was in there, I realised it was a terrible mistake. I got to the hotel room, I remember talk of a massage and I thought that was pretty gross. I think he showed me his big back and I found that pretty horrid.

“Then before I knew it, he started trying to pull my clothes off and pin me down and I just kept saying, ‘No, no, no.’ But he was really forceful. I remember him pulling at my trousers and stuff and looming over me and I just sort of – I am a big, strong girl and I bolted … ran for the bathroom and locked the door.”

“I was in there for a while, I think. He went very quiet. After a while I remember opening the door and seeing him just there facing the door, masturbating, so I quickly closed the door again and locked it. Then when I heard room service come to the door, I just ran,” she said.

Plagued by an ever growing scandal involving allegations of sexual harassment and assault going back decades, Weinstein’s reputation is done. From Aggressive Overtures to Sexual Assault: Harvey Weinstein’s Accusers Tell Their Stories

For more than twenty years, Weinstein, who is now sixty-five, has also been trailed by rumors of sexual harassment and assault. His behavior has been an open secret to many in Hollywood and beyond, but previous attempts by many publications, including The New Yorker, to investigate and publish the story over the years fell short of the demands of journalistic evidence. Too few people were willing to speak, much less allow a reporter to use their names, and Weinstein and his associates used nondisclosure agreements, payoffs, and legal threats to suppress their accounts. Asia Argento, an Italian film actress and director, said that she did not speak out until now—Weinstein, she told me, forcibly performed oral sex on her—because she feared that Weinstein would “crush” her. “I know he has crushed a lot of people before,” Argento said. “That’s why this story—in my case, it’s twenty years old, some of them are older—has never come out.”

Weinstein scandal: What it tells us about celebs, politics & Hollywood

Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment scandal isn’t only an indictment of his twisted soul, but of America’s as well.

The story of Weinstein, the uber-powerful film producer, co-founder of Miramax Films and major donor to Democratic politicians, who got fired from his job as co-Chairman of The Weinstein Company after the New York Times ran an article exposing his serial sexual harassment of female employees, is such a perfect storm of corruption, depravity and hypocrisy that it exquisitely encapsulates the moral decay of America.

The New York Times piece revealed that Weinstein has settled at least eight different sexual harassment lawsuits over the years. The article was just the tip of a really grotesque iceberg, for in its wake a plethora of other claims has surfaced.

The British star, 58, said that behavior like Weinstein's is 'endemic to the system,' and something she has experienced with 'many' other men in similar positions over the years.

Asked if there were others in Hollywood like Weinstein, she said: ‘Of course, many, many...I spent my 20s trying to keep old men’s tongues out of my mouth.’

She also dismissed the idea that Weinstein's behavior was the result of addiction.

'I don't think you can describe him as a sex addict. He's a predator,' said Thompson.

'He's an actual predator, he's dangerous and what he's done and what he's doing is criminal.'

Worst Box Office In 25 Years: Hollywood’s Problems Are Permanent & Deep

Even before this catastrophic Labor Day weekend is factored in (more on this below), the domestic 2017 box office is in hideous shape. This year is –6.3% behind 2016 and continues to fall behind 2015, 2013, and 2012.

If you figure in inflation, those numbers are even worse. For example, in 2012 the average ticket cost $7.96. Today it is almost a full dollar more at $8.89. Yeah, things are that bad and will look even worse on Tuesday.

With no apparent faith in their own product, this is the first Labor Day in 25 years where a new title has not been released on more than 1,000 screens. Over this weekend last year, the box office hauled in nearly $130 million. This year will do about a third of that.

Summer attendance is at a 25-year low.

The summer box office is down a whopping –16% compared to 2016.

The Harvey Weinstein scandal presents a very different picture – a truly ugly picture. Will Hollywood now face up to its hypocrisy?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Probably not.

Harvey Weinstein's wife, Georgina Chapman, has announced that she is leaving the movie mogul after a string of women claimed that he had sexually harassed or assaulted them.

'My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband,' she told People.

'Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.'

At the same time as Chapman made the announcement, Weinstein made a departure of his own - to Europe, by private jet.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Weinstein's "Sex clinic" may in fact be somewhere free of extradition to the US. Like Roman Polanski, Harvey may spend the rest of his life in exile. As for Georgina, by divorcing Harvey, she will isolate her half of his wealth from potential lawsuits.

This would include any sexual harassment settlements made during that time. The Weinstein Company also denies any knowledge. These denials could be tested in a court of law should those alleging harassment and abuse choose to press the issue of corporate liability.

Weinstein’s career of sexual harassment is reprehensible, but many liberals in Hollywood went along to get along in order to gain employment and connections. It’s now too late for them to go into full virtue signaling mode.
