Accused rapist dragged from prison and killed

NEW DELHI

A mob stormed a prison in northeastern India, dragged away and lynched a man accused of rape, police said Friday.

Several thousand people overpowered security at Dimapur Central Prison in Nagaland on Thursday, and seized the rape suspect, whom they also accused of being an illegal migrant from Bangladesh. They pelted him with stones and beat him to death, said police Constable Sunep Aier.

China Has Announced Plans for a ‘World Currency’

The Chinese do not plan to live in a world dominated by the U.S. dollar for much longer. Chinese leaders have been calling for the U.S. dollar to be replaced as the primary global reserve currency for a long time, but up until now they have never been very specific about what they would put in place of it. Many have assumed that the Chinese simply wanted some new international currency to be created. But what if that is not what the Chinese had in mind? What if they have always wanted their own currency to become the single most dominant currency on the entire planet? What you are about to see is rather startling, but it shouldn’t be a surprise. When it comes to economics and finance, the Chinese have always been playing chess while the western world has been playing checkers. Sadly, we have gotten to the point where checkmate is on the horizon.

ISDS: The Trans-Pacific Partnership clause that everyone should be against

ISDS would allow foreign companies to challenge US laws — and potentially to pick up huge payouts from taxpayers — without ever stepping foot in a US court. Here's how it would work. Imagine that the United States bans a toxic chemical that is often added to gasoline because of its health and environmental consequences. If a foreign company that makes the toxic chemical opposes the law, it would normally have to challenge it in a US court. But with ISDS, the company could skip the US courts and go before an international panel of arbitrators. If the company won, the ruling couldn't be challenged in US courts, and the arbitration panel could require American taxpayers to cough up millions — and even billions — of dollars in damages.

Officials: Border efforts had little impact on drug supply or price

A nine-month surge of state law enforcement into the Rio Grande Valley has done little to curb the supply of illegal drugs in Texas or push drug prices higher as officials had hoped, local, state and federal officials say.

The state launched Operation Strong Safety in June in an attempt to slow what was then a sharp increase in illegal crossings and to disrupt criminal activities of Mexican cartels. So far, the state has spent more than $120 million to send hundreds of Department of Public Safety troopers, Texas National Guard soldiers and state game wardens to the border in far South Texas. State leaders are pushing to spend as much as $815 million to expand border operations over the next two years, which would nearly double the state’s border security spending.

Senate Votes to Advance DHS Bill, But Its Fate in the House Is Still Unclear

The Senate on Wednesday moved forward with a measure to fund the Department of Homeland Security even as the bill's future in the House of Representatives remains uncertain.

Senate Democrats, who had previously filibustered the budget legislation because it included add-ons to curtail the president's executive actions on immigration, joined with Republicans to advance the bill. The measure, which needed 60 votes to advance, passed 98-2.

That came after both sides cut a deal to send a "clean" version of the DHS bill - without the immigration add-ons - to the House.

Obama: Pass a bill or I’ll rip up the Constitution

When Republicans challenged Obamacare in the courts, they had to overcome the hurdle of persuading the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a program enacted by Congress and signed by a president. The legal challenge by Texas and 25 other states to the administration’s executive actions on immigration is different. Congress never passed a Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (or DAPA) to grant legal status to some 5 million undocumented immigrants. President Obama himself never signed what his aides call an “executive action”; Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson takes that honor. Thus DAPA is a scary power grab that claims the president — and even his bureaucrats — have the power to override duly enacted federal law. Federal Judge Andrew S. Hanen of Brownsville, Texas, was right to issue a temporary injunction against it.

A DMV source who asked to remain anonymous provided Breitbart News exclusively with a copy of the newly-enacted internal policy memorandum. The document informs DMV investigative officers that past identity theft is acceptable when the illegally-acquired IDs were only used to obtain a driver license, and where the license or ID was not used to commit any other crime.

How Israeli High-Tech Security Firms Are Turning the U.S.-Mexico Border into a “New Kind of Hell”

t was October 2012. Roei Elkabetz, a brigadier general for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), was explaining his country’s border policing strategies. In his PowerPoint presentation, a photo of the enclosure wall that isolates the Gaza Strip from Israel clicked onscreen. “We have learned lots from Gaza,” he told the audience. “It’s a great laboratory.”

Elkabetz was speaking at a border technology conference and fair surrounded by a dazzling display of technology — the components of his boundary-building lab. There were surveillance balloons with high-powered cameras floating over a desert-camouflaged armored vehicle made by Lockheed Martin. There were seismic sensor systems used to detect the movement of people and other wonders of the modern border-policing world. Around Elkabetz, you could see vivid examples of where the future of such policing was heading, as imagined not by a dystopian science fiction writer but by some of the top corporate techno-innovators on the planet.

European Commission's Clever Ruse To Introduce Corporate Sovereignty Regardless Of Ratification Votes In EU

Because of the complicated nature of power-sharing in the European Union, some international agreements require the approval of both the European Parliament and of every Member State -- so-called "mixed agreements." It is generally accepted that both the Canada-EU trade agreement (CETA) and TAFTA/TTIP are mixed agreements, and will therefore require a double ratification: by the full European Parliament, and all the EU governments. Indeed, the European Commission has frequently cited this fact to bolster its assertion that both CETA and TAFTA/TTIP are being negotiated democratically, since the European public -- through their representatives -- will have their say in these final votes.

Brushing aside Democrats’ warnings of permanent political doom, House Republicans voted Thursday to cancel President Obama’s deportation amnesties, casting it as an effort to undo a runaway White House untethered either to the Constitution or even to its own words and promises.

In a debate freighted with political, symbolic and constitutional significance, House Speaker John A. Immigration, open US borders: the secret reason

NAFTA. Obama, during his 2008 Presidential campaign, said he would take another look at that treaty. It needed to be reexamined.

Perhaps he did take a subsequent look, down to the left and far away, as he was flying toward Hawaii on one of his vacations.

NAFTA. From The Guardian, 4 Jan. 2014, “NAFTA: 20 years of regret for Mexico,” by Mark Weisbrot:

“The most basic measure of economic progress, especially for a developing country like Mexico, is the growth of income (or GDP) per person. Out of 20 Latin American countries…Mexico ranks 18, with growth of less than 1% annually since 1994 [when NAFTA went into effect].

Obama sheds ‘deporter in chief’ label, oversees steep drop in illegal immigrant removals

Homeland Security Department officials say the changing face of illegal immigration and the reluctance of “sanctuary cities” to help enforce immigration laws have led to the stunning drop in deportations over the past few years.

Statistics released late Friday showed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported about 315,000 immigrants in fiscal year 2014, a steep drop from more than 360,000 deported in 2013 and well below the more than 410,000 the previous year.

Betrayal? Majority of GOP Senators oppose calling Obama amnesty unconstitutional

While the Republicans are getting ready to take control of the of the U.S. Senate in just a few weeks, Americans witnessed a preview on Saturday of what can be expected in 2015 from a GOP majority in both houses of the U.S. Congress. House votes to block Obama amnesty amid escalating constitutional clash

House Republicans rebuked President Obama Thursday over his deportation amnesty, voting almost exclusively along party lines to try to nullify his new policy, and further escalating what’s quickly become a full-blown constitutional crisis.

This is, while newsworthy, worthless. Even if the Senate concurs on the Bill, Obama can veto it. The House lacks a veto-proof majority on this. I recall all those pro-immigration shills who would scream "racist" at anyone suggesting amnesty would harm legal American workers, and here we are just days after Obama the Dictator rewrote the laws of the land with his mighty pen, and they are openly admitting legal American workers will be harmed by this.

Nancy Pelosi: 'The Emancipation Proclamation Was an Executive Order'

“Does the public know the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order?” Pelosi asked reporters Thursday. “People have to understand how presidents have made change in our country, Congress catching up, and in the case of Ronald Reagan, improving what Congress has done.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The emancipation proclamation was just that, a proclamation. The slaves were freed by the 13th Amendment, which was PASSED BY CONGRESS, SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT AND RATIFIED BY 3/4 OF THE STATES.

Here’s Obama’s Immigration Speech In Full

For more than 200 years, our tradition of welcoming immigrants from around the world has given us a tremendous advantage over other nations. It’s kept us youthful, dynamic, and entrepreneurial. It has shaped our character as a people with limitless possibilities – people not trapped by our past, but able to remake ourselves as we choose.

But today, our immigration system is broken, and everybody knows it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Those immigrants still had to follow the immigration laws of the time. Remember Ellis Island? Nobody was simply allowed to walk into the nation without permission. And the immigrants were welcome in times when the nation was growing and labor was needed. But today we have 94 million Americans willing and able to work who cannot find a job.

Network News' Shameful Decision To Snub Obama's Immigration Address

A decade later the rules seem to have shifted. All four networks have announced they won't carry President Obama's address to the nation tonight about his long awaited plan to take executive action to deal with the pressing issue of immigration reform. (Two Spanish language networks, Univision and Telemundo, will carry the address live in primetime.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don;t think the networks made this call. Obama knows the Hispanics will love his announcement while the legal American citizens (including Legal immigrants) not to mention Constitutionalists will be appalled! Then tomorrow the Grand Jury cuts Darren Wilson loose and by the time the riots are over most Americans will have forgotten about Obama's transition to dictator.

‘Open Rebellion’: Chaos if Republicans Don’t Withhold Funding for Obama Executive Amnesty

Conservatives say that Republican leaders, including House Speaker John Boehner and incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, will be “complicit” in President Barack Obama’s planned executive amnesty if they don’t pull out all the stops to block him.

They warn that chaos is around the corner if that’s how it goes down, even though they’d much rather have Republican leaders fight the president alongside them.

“Fight or be complicit in lawlessness,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told Breitbart News, is the message to congressional GOP leaders on Obama’s amnesty.

President set to sign immigrant plan in Las Vegas

President Barack Obama is traveling to Las Vegas on Friday to sign an executive order that would offer temporary legal status to millions of immigrants who are in the country illegally and set off a new fight with Republicans in Congress.

Obama plans to speak at Del Sol High School, which he first visited as a presidential candidate in 2008 and where he first laid out a broad immigration plan in January 2013.

This time he will be arriving in Las Vegas to deliver at least part of his promise for reform, and will renew a challenge to the new GOP majorities in Congress to pass an immigration bill if they don’t like it, White House officials said.

Obama, in a video released on Facebook, said he would make a nationally televised announcement on immigration from the White House at 8 p.m. EST today, then would go to Las Vegas to promote the plan Friday. Del Sol High is in a largely Hispanic neighborhood east of McCarran International Airport.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Funny how Eisenhower was able to completely stop the illegal immigrants with only 1/10th the border patrol agents Obama has! What is broken about immigration is actually enforcing the laws and THAT is the responsibility of the White House. It is called the Executive Branch because under the Constitution, the President executes the will of the Congress. Clearly, with regards to enforcing the immigration laws, it is the President who has failed, not the Congress. But, sadly, we have a President who appears to be suffering from narcissistic personality disorder, unable to admit when he is wrong (just look at Obamacare) and hence will exceed his lawful authority to create new laws to cover up his ineptitude at enforcing the will of the Congress and the American people.

GOP senator warns of violence after immigration order

Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn warns there could be not only a political firestorm but acts of civil disobedience and even violence in reaction to President Obama's executive order on immigration Thursday.

"The country's going to go nuts, because they're going to see it as a move outside the authority of the president, and it's going to be a very serious situation," Coburn said on Capital Download. "You're going to see — hopefully not — but you could see instances of anarchy. ... You could see violence."

‘Thinking politically:’ Former colleagues decry Obama as opportunist on immigration

For Mr. Obama, immigration has usually been a political issue first, according to those like Mr. del Valle who have worked with him on the issue dating back to his days in Illinois as a state senator and later a U.S. senator. Some describe him as cautious, while others question how deep his commitment runs to the immigrants whose fate now rests with him.

Obama team lays groundwork to justify letting millions of illegal immigrants stay

Confronted with President Obama’s previous statements that a blanket waiver of deportations “would be difficult to defend legally,” the White House tried Tuesday to justify President Obama’s pending executive action to grant legal status to millions of illegal immigrants.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If Congress lets Obama get away with changing the immigration laws, then there will be no stopping Obama from using executive orders to ban guns, silence the independent media, force a carbon tax on all of us, etc.

But...

While preparing to give de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, the Obama immigration officials refused to renew the work visa for National Basketball Association player Gal Mekel who hails from Israel and is currently viewed as a valuable NBA free agent, according to officials from the Indiana Pacers basketball team.

FLASHBACK - How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Obama Administration refuses to release names of dangerous criminal illegal aliens let loose in U.S. cities

In 2013, ICE freed 36,007 convicted criminal aliens from detention who were awaiting the outcome of deportation proceedings, according to a document obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies. This group included aliens convicted of hundreds of violent and serious crimes, including homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am starting to suspect that the agenda at work here is the destruction of any sense of identity for the American people, to make it easier to dissolve America into a larger union. I note that the EU has, from the start, enforced a similar open-border policy across Europe, and erasure of regional sense of identity is essential to welding nations together into larger empires.

President Obama Defends Executive Authority on Immigration

Showing no signs of backing down, President Obama today strongly pushed back against critics questioning his authority to bypass Congress and act unilaterally to reform the nation’s immigration system.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are at a very dangerous stage in our history. The President is attempting to claim the authority to write the laws of the nation from his desk. Anyone who knows the Constitution knows this is false (and Obama, who claims to be a former Constitutional law professor, should know it as well). The reason his office is known as the Executive branch is that the President's job is to execute the will of the Congress, which in turn is supposed to represent the will of the American citizens. They usually don't do that, but that is a topic for another time.

If Obama gets away with rewriting the laws of the land from his desk on immigration, rest assured it will not end there. Obama, emboldened by his success, will issue executive orders to ban guns, mandate vaccines, protect GMOs, silence dissent, block unions from striking, increase taxes, and so forth. Obama might even end term limits for Presidents! We already know, courtesy of the NSA scandal, that this government has lost all respect for the Bill of Rights, and indeed the Common Core curriculum is now brainwashing our children into believing that the Bill of Rights are actually special privileges given by the government, which may be taken away as the government sees fit, and that the right to keep and bears arms only applies to people in an organized state militia!

Once Congress lets Obama get away with "stroke of the pen, law of the land" once, it will continue, and this nation will truly be a dictatorship, the trappings of elections and legislative bodies notwithstanding.

4 Turkish terrorists caught in Texas after being smuggled across border

Four men flew from Istanbul through Paris to Mexico City in late August, where they were met by a Turkish-speaking man who stashed them in a safe house until their Sept. 3 attempt to cross into the U.S. over the border with Mexico.

Their capture by the Border Patrol in Texas set off a fierce debate over the men’s intentions, with some members of Congress saying they were terrorist fighters. Homeland Security officials, including Secretary Jeh Johnson, countered that they were part of the Kurdish resistance which, like the U.S., is fighting the Islamic State’s advance in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice how Turkey criticizes Israel's attack on Al Aqsa and suddenly Turks are now "terror suspects" here in the US!

ICE lawyer’s lawsuit exposes how feds release illegals

The Obama administration told federal immigration lawyers to release illegal immigrants with “old” drunken-driving convictions and those found guilty of stealing other people’s identities, according to a lawsuit filed by one of the lawyers at the center of the operation.

Patricia M. Vroom, a top attorney for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Arizona, filed a 67-page discrimination complaint that details repeated battles with agency higher-ups who told her to close cases and not deport people whom President Obama deemed low-priority.

California plans to issue 1.4 million driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants under new law

California Division of Motor Vehicles is preparing for roughly 1.4 million new driver’s license applicants after Jan. 1.

First question: Is there some marking on these licenses that identifies the holder as illegal so that they cannot use the license to vote?
