Donald Trump and the Revolt of the Proles

The Trump phenom is about economic insecurity. This isn’t about ideology, or racism, it’s about reality;

Western elites were shocked by Brexit, shocked that all their fear mongering and finger-wagging amounted to nothing. The same is true in the US, where the media’s daily attacks on Trump have failed to erode his base of support at all, in fact, they may have added to it.

That’s the reality that made Trump possible, and that’s what this election is about, economic insecurity.

How the Australian, British, and US Governments Shamelessly Helped Kill Countless People in Indonesia in 1965

The Hague-based International People’s Tribunal has ruled that the Indonesian regime that replaced Indonesian President Sukarno committed crimes against humanity in 1965. The governments of Australia, Britain, and the United States have also been pronounced guilty as complicit partners in the massacre of 500,000 to 1000,000 people or more in Indonesia. People were murdered in Indonesia due to their principles, political ideology, ethnic backgrounds, and opposition to foreign influence. Albeit the ruling is an important historical acknowledgment, the assistance that the Australian, British, and US governments provided to the coup and played in the massacres is not a secret.

World War III in The Pipeline? US and European Allies Threaten Russia, Americans Need to Wake Up

The Western pubic doesn’t know it, but Washington and its European vassals are convincing Russia that they are preparing to attack. Eric Zuesse reports on a German newspaper leak of a Bundeswehr decision to declare Russia to be an enemy nation of Germany.

This is the interpretation that some Russian politicians themselves have put on the NATO military bases that Washington is establishing on Russia’s borders.

Washington might intend the military buildup as pressure on President Putin to reduce Russian opposition to Washington’s unilateralism. However, it reminds some outspoken Russians such as Vladimir Zhirinovsky of Hitler’s troops on Russia’s border in 1941.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In doing a fact-check of this article, the language to be used here, when this is published, is: Concerning Moscow, Berlin is "faced with a challenge."

As reported in June of this year at rbth.com:

The traditionally solid relations between Russia and Germany took a turn in an uncertain new direction last week following a report in German newspaper Die Welt on June 4 that German ministries are preparing a new “white book” – the document in which the country's official security doctrine is outlined. The document states that Russia is no longer "a priority partner," as is written in the 2006 edition, but now is Germany's rival. The change in approach is due to Moscow's "violent securing of its interests" in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, its "violation of international law" and the "unilateral change of borders." "Without a fundamental change in course, in the foreseeable future Russia will be a security challenge for our continent," the document stresses. But how serious is this change in Germany's relation to Russia? ‘Regret and concern’ The Kremlin was quick to respond to the information found in the White Book, stating that the apparent change in Germany’s stance toward Russia engenders "regret and concern." "Such a position can surely lead to some kind of confrontational actions, which will not help promote mutual trust and cooperation," said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. Kremlin worried by reports Germany no longer sees it as partner Kremlin worried by reports Germany no longer sees it as partner Since Russia places a high value on maintaining good relations with Germany, relations that some experts believe have been "essential" since the end of the 1960s, the judgments expressed in the “white book” could not have failed to upset the Kremlin. However, Germany itself has called on Russia not to rush to conclusions. German Ambassador to Russia Rüdiger von Fritsch emphasized that the White Book still has not been published. "Let's not pay attention to propaganda," said the ambassador, not explaining, however, whose propaganda he was talking about. German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen was more precise. In her words: The new doctrine will not contain the words "rival" or "enemy." Concerning Moscow, Berlin is "faced with a challenge."

The 22-year-old man from Tunisia, who has not been named, was seen running in the nude around the Pratto della Valle Square in the city of Padua in the northern Veneto region of Italy.
He was spotted by a passing police patrol and amused onlookers watched as a game of cat and mouse unfolded.

We May Be at a Greater Risk of Nuclear Catastrophe Than During the Cold War

While the NATO meetings in Warsaw agreed to continue economic sanctions aimed at Russia for another six months and to station four battalions of troops in Poland and the Baltic states – along with separate US forces in Bulgaria and Poland – there was an undercurrent of dissent. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras called for de-escalating the tensions with Russia and for considering Russian President Vladimir Putin a partner rather than an enemy.

Greece was not alone. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called NATO maneuvers on the Russian border “warmongering” and “saber rattling.” French President Francois Hollande said Putin should be considered a “partner,” not a “threat,” and France tried to reduce the number of troops being deployed in the Baltic and Poland. Italy has been increasingly critical of the sanctions as well.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am strongly of the opinion that if internal White House and DNC polls indicate that Trump will absolutely win this election by a landslide, such a war will be generated before the election, and the US economy will be deliberately brought down as "pre-election gifts" to soon-to-be President Trump.

TIME FOR A NEXIT

Why don’t American voters get to decide on the membership of the United States in European organizations? The United States is not a member of the EU, but it is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

So what is NATO and why should American voters want the United States to leave the organization? Why should they, if given the opportunity, vote for a NATO exit, a Nexit if you will?

Trump Enrages the War Party : How sweet is that!

Yet Trump has turned the tables on the War Party: it is they who are being put on the defensive by his relentless assault, and his willingness to say what most normal people are thinking. His disregard for the pieties of the Beltway, his contempt for the self-proclaimed “experts,” and his ability to mobilize the American people behind a foreign policy that puts them first, is the best thing that has happened to this country in the modern era.

B’Tselem: 63% of casualties in 2014 war were civilians

Two years after Operation Protective Edge, a B’Tselem report said 1,394, or 63 percent, of the 2,202 Palestinians killed by the IDF did not take part in the conflict.

This is lower than the figure cited by the United Nations and other NGOs of 70% but is still higher than Israeli intelligence estimates of 50%. Sixty-six soldiers and seven civilians were killed on the Israeli side.

The data gathered by B’Tselem, and released on Wednesday, was collected from field researchers in Gaza, cross-referenced with publicly available data.

This report is the first time B’Tselem has collected data on the war. Prior to this all casualty numbers were based on outside figures.

According to B’Tselem spokeswoman Sarit Michaeli the purpose of the report is to inform the Israeli public of the war’s high death toll.

“Our main goal is to enable the Israeli public to be informed,” she said.

Dan Simpson: We never seem to learn

The misshapen priorities of President Barack Obama’s administration may have reached a climax this past weekend as he scurried around the NATO summit in Warsaw, Poland, reassuring the Estonians and other Eastern Europeans of America’s guarantee of their security, while old wounds in his own country opened wide in a growing conflict between our police and our people.

The president flew home from Europe a day early, skipping sightseeing in Seville, so he could visit Dallas, one terrible scene of the action. Gosh.

The annual NATO budget is $1 trillion. It is 17 times as large as Russia’s military budget. A lot of good could be done at home with the American lion’s share of that NATO budget, in terms of police training, urban education and improvement in the quality of housing and health care among America’s poor.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is NOT Vladimir Putin into who needs some "sense talked into him"; it is rather this bellicose, war-centric administration which desperately needs to have some logic surgically implanted into their collective brains.

These troops and weapons which the US and NATO have pre-positioned in Europe, and specifically to Eastern Europe, are the harbingers of a war the White House wants to see happen, to prevent the rise of the Russian economy and the ruble, post-sanctions.

They also want the war to happen to misdirect Americans' anger at the way in which the economy at home has been mismanaged to the point where the American middle class has gone nearly extinct.

And if internal Clinton and White House polls show Trump handily defeating Clinton in November, there will be a tremendous haste to bring such a war about, to hand Trump a full-going hot war and a destroyed American economy even before he takes the Oath of Office.

Such a war would be an horrific mistake, and insanity writ large, on the part of this government; the US military doesn't have the weaponry, the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia.

White House Moves To Reauthorize Military Equipment For Police

The Obama White House is set to authorize police agencies to once again acquire military equipment, a move that is sure to be met with heavy criticism from activists seeking greater accountability from police in light of regular police killings of Black men. Reuters reported Thursday that the U.S. government will revisit a 2015 ban on police forces getting riot gear, armored vehicles and other military-grade equipment from the U.S. armed forces. The use of military gear by police agencies was criticized by supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement and other critics of police impunity and brutality as being part of a broader militarization of police, which was seen as a factor in the mistreatment of demonstrators and U.S. residents.

Military Regimes Shouldn’t Be Recognized

The military upheaval in Turkey, whose final consequences are yet to be seen, highlights a major weakness in worldwide efforts to promote democracy. This event underscores the need to establish binding international legal principles to ban the recognition of military regimes as a result of coups d’état. Establishment of such principles, and the creation of the legal mechanisms for applying them, would foster democracy throughout the world.

We May Be At A Greater Risk Of Nuclear Catastrophe Than During The Cold War

“Today, the danger of some sort of a nuclear catastrophe is greater than it was during the Cold War,” warns William Perry, “and most people are blissfully unaware of this danger.”

A former U.S. defense secretary from 1994 to 1997, Perry has been an inside player in the business of nuclear weapons for over 60 years. And his book, My Journey at the Nuclear Brink, is a sober read. It’s also a powerful counterpoint to NATO’s current European strategy, which envisions nuclear weapons as a deterrent to war: The purpose of nukes “is to prevent major war, not to wage wars,” argues the Alliance’s magazine, NATO Review.

The Distinction Between Terrorism And Insurgency

The definition of the term “terrorism” has been deliberately left undefined by the Western powers to use it as an umbrella-pretext to justify their interventionist policy in the energy-rich Islamic countries for their economic interests. Depending on context “terrorism” can mean two very different things: religious extremism or militancy. If it means religious extremism then that is a cultural mindset and you cannot possibly hope to transform cultures through the agency of war and military intervention; if anything, war will further radicalize the society.

"Bulava" to retire: New Russian submarines will have a new beast of rockets

Construction of a missile R-30 Bulava started in 1998 in the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT), who had never dealt with making missiles for submarines. For some, not most logical reason, the project was allocated MIT, and not the State Rocket Center who had experience with making missiles for submarines solid fuel R-39, as well as liquid fuel R-29RM (in different versions - including the latest R-29RMU2.1 Lajner).

Chinese Military Vice Chairman Urges Troops to Get Ready For Combat: Xinhua

While it is unclear how much of it is populist bluster, how much is posturing, and how much an actual, objective caution, Bloomberg points out an article by China's news agency Xingua posted on the website of the Ministry of National Defense, in which Fan Changlong, vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (which is chaired by Xi Jinping himself) "urges Chinese troops to get prepared for combat by improving planning, equipment and logistical support in order" to be ready to "win the war."

Bloomberg adds that Fan made the comments in recent inspection tour of China’s Southern Theater Command. British PM Willing to Nuke Hundreds of Thousands; Parliament Approves Funding

In one of the first high profile parliamentary debates since she took over the premiership last week, British PM Theresa May today insisted she would have no hesitation in ordering nuclear strikes abroad that would kill hundreds of thousands of civilians.

The somewhat blunt, somewhat genocidal answer appears to have been the right one for the crowd, as it wasn’t long thereafter that parliament agreed to spend upward of $40 billion modernizing their nuclear weapons arsenal. Many analysts have suggested that the $40 billion is a gross underestimate, and the nukes will end up costing far more.

The question about massacring civilians with a nuclear strike is a common one during such debates, and historically one prime ministers dodge. Former Foreign Secretary Sir Geoffrey Howe said he believed it was a question no prime minister would ever directly answer.

An Illegal Military Strategy Disguised As Technological Advance

Think of it as the Trojan Drone, the ultimate techno-weapon of American warfare in these years, a single remotely operated plane sent to take out a single key figure. It’s a shiny video game for grown ups — a Mortal Kombat or Call of Duty where the animated enemies bleed real blood. Just like the giant wooden horse the Greeks convinced the Trojans to bring inside their gates, however, the drone carries something deadly in its belly: a new and illegal military strategy disguised as an impressive piece of technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, it is only a question of time regarding how long it will be that we see this technology being used here in the US, unless there is a massive, peaceful move on the part of all Americans to prevent it.

And please, don't think, "Wow, that can't happen here!"; because the precedent has already been set for extrajudicial assassinations right here at home, and in a circumstance many Americans might have applauded.

Micah Johnson, who shot and killed police in Dallas last week, was taken down with a robot, armed with a bomb.

This is the first time in police history in this country that this has happened; but I can nearly guarantee you, it will not be the last.

Clinton, in an interview with CBS News’ Charlie Rose, believes Donald Trump has “no self-discipline, no self-control, no sense of history, no understanding of the limits of the kind of power that any president should impose upon himself.”

All of this could be applied to Clinton. She is by far the more dangerous of the two candidates.

If Clinton gets into office, she will start or expand wars and through large economic programs will ensure the US’s quasi-depression deepens and that the economy never truly recovers at all (even though it may seem to.)

If things aren’t getting worse, Hillary’s power is not advancing. She is good at making things worse.

The Feds “Assault” on U.S. War Veterans You Won’t Believe

By Catherine J. Frompovich

Constitutional Attorney Michael Connelly, JD, who also is the Executive Director of the United States Justice Foundation, has written the article “OUTRAGEOUS: Veterans are now receiving letters prohibiting the purchase, possession, receipt, or transport of a firearm/ammunition…” that every voter and law abiding citizen in the USA ought to read to understand the scope of what’s happened in this country and, seemingly, we don’t give a fiddler’s damn about. How truly sad!...

The Trojan Drone: An Illegal Military Strategy Disguised As Technological Advance

In a way, it’s almost worse when Islamic extremists don’t use weapons or explosives in their attack. John Kerry Threatens Turkey With NATO Expulsion

While the experts debate if Turkey's flash coup was staged or merely grossly incompetent, a rather theatrical fallout is taking place between Turkey and the US.

Recall that on Saturday, as part of its populist campaign to blame the coup on the US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, Turkey accused the US of being "behind the military coup", to which John Kerry promptly responded that such allegations are "utterly false" and harmful to relations. Kerry also said that authorities should respect the rule of law during their probe of the coup. Kerry also noted that there would be no prompt deportation of Gulen (something which is also in Erdogan's favor), when he said that "we fully anticipate that there will be questions raised about Gulen, and obviously we invite the government of Turkey ... to present us with any legitimate evidence that withstands scrutiny and the United States will accept that and look at it and make judgments appropriately," he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Secretary of State Kerry: this move may well backfire, spectacularly, sir. Perhaps it would be better to have been patient, and see how things unfold, before having made this threat.

Erdogan will not take kindly to this.

At this moment, it appears that Erdogan actually holds most of the cards, including the base in Incirlik, the troops, and the US's nuclear weapons.

Freedom of navigation patrols may end 'in disaster': Chinese admiral says

Freedom of navigation patrols carried out by foreign navies in the South China Sea could end "in disaster", a senior Chinese admiral has said, a warning to the United States after last week's ruling against Beijing's claims in the area.

China has refused to recognize the ruling by an arbitration court in The Hague that invalidated its vast territorial claims in the South China Sea, and did not take part in the proceedings brought by the Philippines.

It has reacted angrily to calls by Western countries and Japan for adherence to the decision.

China has repeatedly blamed the United States for stirring up trouble in the South China Sea, a strategic waterway through which more than $5 trillion of trade moves annually.

China, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam all have rival claims, of which China's is the largest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

From the time of the Treaty of Cairo, post-World War II, these seas have been considered as Chinese Territory.

This "freedom of navigation" issue is really just an attempt to goad China into doing something stupid, which the US government could then use to "justify" the use of military force against it.

I would suggest that the US government and military understand that China means business, and behave accordingly, with prudence.

Why The Failed Turkish Coup Attempt Wasn’t A “False Flag” Power Grab By Erdogan

Whether the US remains in Incirlik or not is actually a moot point, since the profound symbolism around what’s unfolding is much more substantial than the Pentagon’s physical presence there. Never before in history has the US been cut off from its own nuclear weapons, which is essentially what’s happened with the no-fly zone and power shutoff to Incirlik. Erdogan is trying to convey in the most memorable and impactful way possible that he is the Sultan over all of Turkey — including Incirlik — and that he will not tolerate having the facility used against him for actively aiding and sheltering coup plotters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Creating failed states, unfortunately, is something at which the US government and military have become very adept, as well as manipulating them for geopolitical gains.

Obama Calls for Peace and Comity at Home, But Favors Wars and Killer Drones Abroad

The president continued:

“My fellow Americans, only we can prove, through words and through deeds, that we will not be divided. And we’re going to have to keep on doing it “again and again and again.” That’s how this country gets united. That’s how we bring people of good will together. Only we can prove that we have the grace and the character and the common humanity to end this kind of senseless violence, to reduce fear and mistrust within the American family, to set an example for our children.”

It was a moving call to bring this violence-plagued feuding country together -- people respecting the police, and police respecting the people, black, brown, red, yellow and white.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The dubious distinction of having become the world's "Assassination Nation" has, unfortunately, come home to roost in this country.

Americans fed up with the bullshit they've been fed for many years. They want the truth.

Flynn: This is where I think the world has misread Donald Trump. He has no intention to step away without examining all relationships that we have. His intent is to relook at the way we are organized globally, where the US is sort of expected to be a global leader, but relook at these alliances and these charters that we are under to make sure that they are still viable for the 21st century. It doesn’t mean that President Trump comes into office and NATO goes away. But I would say that NATO as a political alliance does need to be relooked at in terms of everything — resourcing, capabilities.

How Extrajudicial Executions Became ‘War’ Policy in Washington

In the years in which the U.S. has up-armored globally, the country has also seen an arms race developing on the domestic front. As vets have returned from their Iraq and Afghan tours of duty, striking numbers of them have gone into police work at a time when American weaponry, vehicles, and military equipment – including, for instance, MRAPs (mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles) – have poured off America’s distant battlefields and, via the Pentagon, into police departments nationwide. And while the police were militarizing, gun companies have been marketing battlefield-style assault rifles to Americans by the millions, at the very moment when it has become ever more possible for citizens to carry weapons of every sort in a concealed or open fashion in public.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is most unfortunate, but here is the reality; in the 21st century, both at home and abroad, the United States of America has become the "Assassination Nation".

I have been very concerned that the extrajudicial assassinations, which have been on the forefront of standard US military tactics abroad, would finally come home to roost; and now, they have, in a circumstance that many Americans applauded, in the case of Micah Johnson. He was the "perfect candidate" for the use of such a weapon, to make it acceptable for use against Americans, with utterly no due pocess.

But we are on a very slippery slope here, folks; how long do you imagine it will take for people, simply protesting peacefully, in this country, to get "droned" out of existence, with a double tap, extrajudicial execution?!?

The short answer here is, not very.

Turkey is a Stupid Place for US to Store Nuclear Weapons

An aside note: It's the things we don't know that frighten me the most. I discovered some relatively unknown history about Turkish involvement with U.S. nuclear weapons while reading former Secret Service officer, Gary Byrne's, Clinton tell-all. Talking about his Air Force days as he establishes his his own credibility and character early in the book, Byrne writes:

"Arriving at Murtad, I learned that AFSP there had caught rogue Turkish officers trying to push an American F-104 Starfighter with a loaded nuke onto the flight line so they could steal a nuke and bomb Greece. Many Turks bitter about the Greco-Turkish War of 1919– 22 wanted a flash point to ignite a new war. I believe this was secretly why JFK took the nukes out of Turkey in 1962. Turks simply hate Greeks. We joked to each other, “Hey, if you’re not careful, I’ll tell the Turks you’re Greek!”"

U.S. Warships Surround Disputed Chinese Waters, Prepared for War: “WW III At Stake”, by Mac Slavo

Territorial disputes are a delicate thing… and potentially deadly as well.

That’s why the U.S. is backing up its positions with an ever-increasing presence of warships in the South China Sea.

China is very touchy about these territories, and unwilling to give up what they perceive as their waters, even as a UN tribunal just denied their claims and strengthened the U.S. hand.

Indeed, the entire situation is combustible and very dangerous.

Now, there is not only an escalation, but an acknowledgement on both sides of the Pacific that things are headed towards war – and it is being openly discussed in those stark terms:

Webmaster's Commentary:

One does NOT create an atmosphere conducive to negotiations by surrounding a contested sea region with military hardware, even to the point of sending a guided missile destroyer there (which President Obama did, several months ago).

US Warns Allies Not to Rush to Capitalize on South China Sea Ruling

While the Hague Tribunal ruling against China on its territorial claims in the South China Sea was loudly endorsed by US officials, American diplomats are cautioning their allies in the region, including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia, not to rush to try to press those claims overtly against China.

The Philippines was the one who won the Tribunal case, which ruled they had certain fishing and energy exploration rights China had contested. Vietnam was said to be interested in filing a quick case of their own against China to cash in on the previous ruling.

At the same time, China and Taiwan are both spurning the ruling, and China has vowed to defend its interests in the Sea. They accused the US of “stirring up trouble” in backing such efforts against them, and indeed the US has made a habit of backing everybody’s claims in the South China Sea so long as they intersect with China’s claims.

The Most Important US Air Force Base You’ve Never Heard Of

Known as “Little America” in this mainly rural corner of Germany, the area now includes 57,000 US citizens clustered around Ramstein and a dozen smaller bases. The Defense Department calls it “the largest American community outside of the United States.” Ramstein serves as the biggest Air Force cargo port beyond US borders, providing “full spectrum airfield operations” along with “world-class airlift and expeditionary combat support.” The base also touts “superior” services and “exceptional quality of life.” To look at Ramstein and environs is to peer into a faraway mirror for the United States; what’s inside the frame is normality for endless war.

IN ATTEMPT TO DODGE SUIT, WHITE HOUSE ARGUES FUNDING WAR MAKES WAR LEGAL

A lawsuit filed earlier this year charging President Barack Obama with waging an illegal war against the Islamic State (or ISIS) was met on Tuesday with a motion from the Obama administration asking the court to dismiss it.

In its motion to dismiss (pdf), the administration argues that Congressional funding for the war amounts to Congressional approval for it.

The lawsuit (pdf) was filed in U.S. district court by Capt. Nathan Michael Smith, an intelligence official stationed in Kuwait, in May. Smith has been assigned to work for "Operation Inherent Resolve," the administration's name for the nebulous conflict against the terrorist group ISIS.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congress, collectively, has behaved as though it is completely scrotumless on this issue of authorizing the use of force in this manner; and according to the Constitution, only Congress can declare war.

Funding for military activity is NOT, therefore, tantamount to Congressional approval, under the War Powers Resolution.

And let's be clear here; ISIS has been trained, funded, and allowed to fester, courtesy of US foreign policy, and is used terrify the American people of what will happen if the US government is not in control of the assets of foreign countries it wants to control, Like Iraq's oil, and Afghanistan's mineral resources, pipelines, and opium.

And if what you are seeing, in terms of US foreign policy, appears to be a foreign policy engineered to create perpetual war, you are absolutely correct.

Western-Backed Chechen “Freedom Fighter” Named as Istanbul Attack Mastermind

The true extent of U.S.-NATO involvement in the Chechen struggle for independence is still a well-guarded secret but Chatayev’s story sheds some light on dubious Western machinations that have fueled terrorism in Russia and beyond.

In 2003, “Akhmed One-Arm” moved to Austria. He was granted asylum and received Austrian citizenship. While enjoying Austrian hospitality, Chatayev made extensive use of his new passport that “allowed him to travel freely in Europe and elsewhere.”

Russian media reports suggest that Chatayev was wanted by Russian authorities since 2003 on suspicion of recruiting fighters and raising funds for the North Caucasus insurgency. According to sources in Chechen Islamic groups, this task was assigned to him by none other than Caucasus Emirate leader Doku Umarov.[9]

Neither Chatayev’s close connection to Umarov nor his criminal activities seemed to bother anyone in the West. Russia repeatedly tried to get him extradited, to no avail.

Western media regularly quotes the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on statistics regarding the current Syrian conflict. Mike Pence, Trump’s likely running mate, has backed every free trade deal in the last 15 years

A horrible choice!

There are multiple reports that Mike Pence will be Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate. If he is, how will he explain away his support for the very same free trade deals that Trump has been bashing for more than a year?

Pence, like most economic conservatives, has been a staunch supporter of these deals—in particular, he backs the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a free trade deal negotiated by the Obama administration with twelve nations around the Pacific rim.

Pence also defended the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and voted for the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and continued trade with China during his 14 years in Congress.

A Hillary Clinton presidency could end up letting Isis and al-Qaeda off the hook

Hillary Clinton’s expected choice as Defence Secretary, Michèle Flournoy, has just co-authored a report by the Centre for a New American Security (CNAS) in Washington that recommends that the destruction of Isis should no longer be the overriding objective of the US in Syria, but that equal priority should be given to taking military action against President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Army. A new pro-US armed opposition would be built up to fight Assad, Isis, al-Nusra and other al-Qaeda clones, a process that the report admits could take years – and “during that time the dangers posed by Isis will remain”. This is not a marginal opinion among hawks in Washington, as a recently leaked memo from 51 serving State Department officials argued very much the same thing.

France to Escalate Strikes in Syria and Iraq After Nice Attack

French Prime Minister Francois Hollande said Friday morning local time that he would "strengthen our actions" in Syria and Iraq and extend the state of emergency another three months, hours after a truck ran into a crowd of revelers and killed at least 80 people in Nice.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No matter what happens, the first thing politicians think is how to use it for their agenda.

1. The driver of the truck was from TUNISIA, so how does that connect with bombing Iraq and Syria?

2. Setting aside attempts to link this incident to Al Qaeda through a 2010 article in INSPIRE magazine (which is actually a western propaganda front), this appears to be a road-rage incident committed by a known criminal whose wife just left him. He was reported to be dealing with severe depression, which means he may have been on prescription anti-depressants, which have a long history of triggering extremely violent behavior.

3. The current State of Emergency did not prevent this tragedy from happening, so why extend it?

CIA supplies ISIS with an airforce with help from Khazarian Mafia, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey and Israel

Saakashvili was made governor of Odessa in order to oversee a massive smuggling operation that is keeping Islamic State well supplied with weapons, munitions and all the other necessary goods to wage war. The route to ISIS is across the Black Sea to the port of Batumi, capital of Georgia which sits just a few miles north of the Georgian-Turkish border. From Batumi, the supplies are trucked into Turkey and then onto IS in the south. This is the fate of that dozen missing MiG-21s – they were crated and shipped from Odessa to Batumi then trucked down to Incirlik air base in southern Turkey.

But why would the CIA and their Saudi allies supply their IS proxy army with refurbished half a century old MiG-21s when they have the money and connections to source just about any state of the art hardware their hearts may desire?

This is where the deception part of the operation comes into play – the Syrian air force is still operating MiG-21s, therefore it is a simple matter to paint those dozen IS MiGs in Syrian colours and have them impersonate the Syrian air force for nefarious purposes.

Former Admiral Urges America to Prepare for Imminent Naval Battle with China

By James Holbrooks

In a congressional hearing on Wednesday, former Director of National Intelligence and retired Navy admiral Dennis Blair told the panel that the United States should be prepared to use military force to oppose Chinese aggression in the South China Sea.

“I think we need to have some specific lines and then encourage China to compromise on some of its objectives,” Blair, who headed the U.S. Pacific Command while in the Navy, said at the hearing.

The admiral’s recommendation came the day after a United Nations tribunal invalidated China’s claim of territorial rights to nearly all of the waters in the South China Sea. Other nations in the region — including the Philippines, who brought the action against China in 2013 — also claim sovereignty in that zone...

It’s Official: Robots Are Now Injuring And Killing Humans

By Nicholas West

Even as robotics experts, universities and tech luminaries sound the alarm about the potential for a future filled with killer robots, this technology evidently already has arrived … minus the stringent ethics.

There can be no debate about the use of killer robots in the military. We are in the middle of an admitted global drone arms race in which there are mass civilian casualties occurring under a specious U.S. legal framework that has thus far not even excluded its own citizens from being targeted for assassination. There is also a host of ground- and sea-based systems that are equally lethal and continue to be tested in massive joint military exercises.

China calls on US to cease THAAD deployment in South Korea

China has reaffirmed its strong opposition to the US deployment of an advanced missile system in neighboring South Korea, warning that Beijing would take necessary steps to protect its interests.

Thousands of S. Koreans protest US missile defense system as Seoul announces location

South Korea’s military has announced the location of its THAAD anti-missile defense system, intended to deter threats from North Korea. The plan, which greatly angered regional powers, has led thousands of Koreans on to the streets in protest.
Seoul and Washington say the system is intended to both counter threats in the region and defend US troops stationed there. It forms the core element of the America’s multilayered defense program. But the local residents fear it will lead to deteriorating health and will negatively impact the agricultural economy. The system’s high-powered radar has been linked to infertility and cancer, according to local rumors, which the government dismissed as “baseless.”

U.S. Endorses Expansion of Military Force Used By U.N. Peacekeepers in Combat Zones

By Brandon Turbeville

In yet another step towards the establishment of a world military force that seeks peace through the absence of dissent, the United States announced its support in May for a set of principles that will allow the United Nations’ peacekeeping troops and UN police to use force in order to “protect civilians” in combat zones and areas of armed conflict.

U.S. Ambassador the U.N. and notorious warmonger against Libya and Syria, Samantha Power stated that the Kigali Principles would “make peacekeeping missions more effective, improve security and save lives.”...

Beijing Vows To ‘Take All Necessary Measures’ To Protect Sovereignty In South China Sea

China vowed to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty over the South China Sea and said it had the right to set up an air defense zone, after rejecting an international tribunal’s ruling denying its claims to the energy-rich waters.

Chinese state media called the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague a “puppet” of external forces after it ruled that China had breached the Philippines’ sovereign rights by endangering its ships and fishing and oil projects.

Beijing has repeatedly blamed the United States for stirring up trouble in the South China Sea, where its territorial claims overlap in parts with Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan.

“China will take all necessary measures to protect its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests,” the ruling Communist Party’s official People’s Daily said in a front page commentary on Wednesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, these statements are deadly serious, on the part of China's leadership.

I would like to politely suggest to both President Obama and the Philippine President Duterte to be prudently cautious in response to these statements. And I say this because in January of this year, the US entered into a new US-Philippine Defense Pact, dubbed the EDCA. As reported at thediplomat.com in January of this year:

The agreement paves the way for a massive increase in the American military footprint on Philippine soil, particularly across a series of much-prized bases, some of which are close to the South China Sea. Yet there is no assurance that this will significantly enhance Manila’s hands in the disputed waters. If anything, the regional maritime disputes could get even more complicated as two superpowers, China and the United States, move dangerously close to each other. The EDCA provides U.S. forces rotational, negotiated, and limited access to a number of mutually-agreed upon locations. So far, the Americans have zeroed in on at least eight prime military bases, including Subic and Clark — the site of largest American military bases during Cold War — as well as Oyster Bay in Palawan, strategically close to disputed land features and waters in the South China Sea. Instead of permanent U.S. bases, we are instead looking at the establishment of forward operating sites and cooperative security locations, where the host nation (theoretically) enjoys considerable supervision and control over the activities of visiting forces. The EDCA is particularly beneficial to the United States, because it will no longer have to pay huge sums to rent out Filipino bases à la Cold War days, not to mention that the Philippines will actually end up paying for the transportation and utility costs of visiting forces. In short, the Pentagon will enjoy low-cost and flexible access to premium locations in the Philippines. So what is the Philippines is getting in exchange? There is nothing in the EDCA that compels the United States to come to the host nation’s rescue as far as Sino-Philippine territorial disputes are concerned. The Obama administration has consistently reiterated that the agreement is not aimed at China, but instead is aimed at enhancing the two allies’ capabilities in the realm of humanitarian relief and disaster-management operations. A gray area in the alliance A cursory look at Washington’s diplomatic position reveals that throughout the past decades, various U.S. administrations refused to clarify whether the U.S.-Philippine Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT) will be applied in the event of a conflict over Philippine-claimed/occupied territories in the South China Sea.

Anything which even appears "militarily muscular" on the part of the Philippine or US government may well start a "hot war" with China, which may well be what the Obama Administration would like to see happen, to snap the rise in the now gold-backed yuan, and re-enforce US dollar hegemony.

However, at this time in its history, the US military does not have the troop strength, the weaponry, the money, or the manufacturing to insure a positive result to a conventional war against China.

US-Led Economic War, Not Socialism, Is Tearing Venezuela Apart

Americans have been trained by decades of Cold War propaganda to look for any confirmation that ‘socialism means poverty.’ But in the case of Venezuela and other states not governed by the free market, this cliche simply doesn’t ring true.

Why Hollande Spoke Up: 'NATO Doesn't Get to Decide Europe's Russia Relations'

“NATO has no role at all to be saying what Europe’s relations with Russia should be. For France, Russia is not an adversary, not a threat,” these words by French President Francois Hollande as he landed in Warsaw to attend the alliance’s summit meeting on July 8-9 bring home the undercurrents in European politics following Brexit.

Feels like a furnace
That burning keeps me alive

Westerners Forget – Or Don’t Care – That Most Victims Of Islamic Extremist Attacks Are Muslim

Recent attacks by Islamist extremists in Istanbul, Iraq, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have been staggering: over 300 dead. Westerners always complain that Muslims don’t speak out enough about atrocities that impact the West. We forget, though, that the vast majority of the victims of Islamic extremists attacks are Muslim noncombatants. Sympathy for them from the West is decidedly lacking.

ALL WARS ARE BANKERS' WARS!

I know many people have a great deal of difficulty comprehending just how many wars are started for no other purpose than to force private central banks onto nations, so let me share a few examples, so that you understand why the US Government is mired in so many wars against so many foreign nations. There is ample precedent for this.

The United States fought the American Revolution primarily over King George III's Currency act, which forced the colonists to conduct their business only using printed bank notes borrowed from the Bank of England at interest.

The West Is Provoking A World War: ‘Russia Is Being Pushed To Its Limits’

Many things have happened this past week, especially toward the end of the week, the new “norm” for events to “happen” just prior to the weekend. In this manner the events escape most of the public’s view. Case in point to start out with the NATO summit in Warsaw, Poland, and Obama committed 1,000 more American troops to a 4,000 troop increase in Poland and the Baltic States.

It was also announced that air and sea patrols will be increased in the region. The deputy national security advisor in D.C., Ben Rhodes stated that “continued aggression by Russia would provoke a response by NATO and a greater alliance presence in Eastern Europe.” Already the Western Press is escalating its actions of “demonizing” Russia, likening it to an aggressive colonizing power. This came from Associated Press, and the skew can clearly be seen:

SAS CHIEF IN IRAQ ANGRY AT UK RUNNING ‘LATIN AMERICAN-STYLE DEATH SQUADS’

Details have emerged of how US and UK Special Forces clashed and drifted apart over the conduct of the Iraq occupation, with one British officer complaining about the use of tactics more akin to “Latin American-style” death squads than a modern military.

The details of the Balad special forces base and its operations, which came to shape the war, are not recounted in last week’s long-awaited report by Sir John Chilcot.

However, kill or capture operations in and around Baghdad, launched from the Balad base 50 miles (80km) north of the city, were a key if little known chapter in Britain’s shadow war, the Independent reports.

Despite killing or taking as prisoner up to 3,500 insurgents, the mission against the Sunni insurgency caused deep rifts to the point where a senior commander, himself ex-SAS, demanded to know why the UK Special Forces were “helping to run Latin American-style death squads?”

Webmaster's Commentary:

But now that British military have been banned from discussing the Chilcot report, we will never know precisely what happened here; both the US and the UK military and government need to have a moral, public conversation about this, so the atrocities from this war will never, ever be repeated.

Not Just For Government Spying And Killing

Drones have a rather negative reputation these days and for good reason. They bring to mind government surveillance and extrajudicial killings in foreign countries. And in the civilian world they are at best a nuisance, and at worst they can be used by hobbyists to spy on their neighbors. And among the more paranoid members of our society, (though in all fairness, being paranoid doesn’t mean you’re wrong) drones bring to mind the possibility of automated killing machines taking over the human race in the near future.

NEW IDF CHIEF RABBI SAYS SOLDIERS CAN RAPE ARAB WOMEN DURING WARTIME TO BOOST MORALE

Outgoing chief rabbi, Brig. Gen. Rafi Peretz, of the Israeili Defense Forces, who is stepping down after six years in the position is being replaced. And, his successor, Rabbi Col. Eyal Karim’s appointment is being met with backlash — as he is outspoken for allowing soldiers to rape women during wartime. Karim, who was announced on Monday as the intended new IDF chief rabbi, has provoked controversy with previous misogynistic statements, such as opposing female conscription and implying that rape was permissible in times of war.
