US Patriots Couldn’t Repel Attack on Saudi Oil Facilities Due to Low Efficiency – Russian MoD Source

Saudi Aramco refineries were hit hard in a drone attack, claimed by Yemeni Houthis, crippling Saudi crude output for several days. In the wake of the attack, US military command for the Middle East suggested sending more air defence missile systems to Saudi Arabia after existing ones failed to foil the strike.

Some 88 Patriot systems deployed in Saudi Arabia failed to repel attack on Saudi Aramco oil facilities, letting dozens of drones and guided missiles get through defences, a high-ranking source in the Russian Defence Ministry said. The source dismissed the excuse that the US Secretary of State gave to explain the Patriot fiasco, noting that in fact the American air defence system simply has low efficiency

Webmaster's Commentary:

Wait one minute, did I just read that correctly?!?

Then please answer this question; are our American military just as vulnerable as were the Saudis when these attacks happened?!?

And the best and brightest US engineers who have developed these US military systems got overwhelmed... by a bunch of allegedly "primitive drones"?!?

So, President Trump, what is wrong with this picture?!? ABSOLUTELY BLOODY EVERYTHING.

Mr. President, you and Vice President Pence, need to "work the phones" of all your contributors in the military defense industry, and there should be, immediately, (private) conferences on why the US had a 100% failure rate in Saudi Arabia, where the need for these damned systems is desperately critical in order to protect the oil infrastructure here, and the US failed...miserably.

This cannot, sir, cannot happen again, because if it did, any foreign buyer, thinking about buy US-made weaponry may well march right out of the negotiating room, and into either Russia's or China's embassy in their countries, to discuss buying weapons... which actually work.

WHOOPS, MY FINGER SLIPPED! HAWAIIANS PANIC AS POLICE TRIGGER FALSE TSUNAMI WARNING DURING TRAINING

SOURCE: RT
n a somewhat disturbing case of deja vu, the emergency warning sirens sounded in several parts of Hawaii early Wednesday evening, evoking memories of January’s false ballistic missile alert.
The alarm was inadvertently set off during Honolulu Police Department dispatcher training, which for some bizarre reason was being done on live equipment rather than with training software.

“I just want to apologize [to] the public,” Police Chief Susan Ballard said in an interview with Hawaii News Now. “It was just a very [simple] mistake. We need to do better.”

In this instance, it took 12 minutes for state agencies to confirm to the public that it was a false alarm, compared with the 28-minute delay in January.

***NO TSUNAMI THREAT*** We have received phone calls about sirens going off across Oahu, but we have confirmed with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center that there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT. #hiwx #tsunami

— NWSHonolulu (@NWSHonolulu) September 19, 2019

Webmaster's Commentary:

NOT Funny!! We had one man die from a stress-induced coronary the last time.

Please; the warning systems in the State are put there to save people; not to cause them to die from stress-related problems.

The training here, appears to have been hideously hap-hazard, and obviously uneffective.

How a war between Russia and the US would kill 34MILLION in hours: Horrific simulation shows countries obliterated by carpet of atomic bombs

Researchers have developed a terrifying simulation that shows how an escalating nuclear war between the United States/NATO and Russia would play out.

The model — based on realistic data on nuclear force postures, targets and causality estimates — predicts that 34.1 million people would die within hours.

The catastrophic conflict would leave another 55.9 million injured — figures which do not include subsequent deaths from nuclear fallout and other effects.

In the first three hours alone, Europe would be devastated and an estimated 2.6 million people would be either killed or injured.

The following 90 minutes would see key cities in both the US and Russia hit with 5–10 nuclear bombs each, leaving another 88.7 million dead or injured.

The Ultra-Costly, Underwhelming F-35 Fighter

How are you with numbers? I can deal with $1.5 million. I think I can even imagine $1.5 billion, a sum a thousand times greater. But how about a million times greater: $1.5 trillion? That happens to be the estimated cost of the Pentagon’s program to build, deploy, and maintain the no-longer-so-new F-35 jet fighter over its lifetime. How can any people invest so much in a technology whose fundamental purpose is dominance through destruction — and which reportedly doesn’t even work particularly well?

The Price of “Freedom”? US Drone Massacres Dozens of Afghan Farmers as They Slept

By Matt Agorist

Jalalabad, Afghanistan — Imagine for a moment that you had just finished a long day’s work with two hundred other farmers. You were settling down to relax for the night, when out of nowhere, Hellfire missiles rain down from drones in the sky and blow up dozens of your coworkers, maiming and tearing limbs from dozens more. Imagine if this happened inside the United States. Imagine the reaction from politicians and the US war machine looking to right this wrong.

Trump's new national security adviser is the anti-Bolton in style only

Robert O’Brien might be just as hawkish as John Bolton, but he is "certainly not as pugilistic," according to people close to the president's new adviser.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just terrific; the style of negotiations with Iran, if the US ever gets there, will be different; but unfortunately, the substance remains the same.

What President Trump needs, is for another major, bloody, attack against Saudi Arabia, with both Saudi Arabian and US military down; and no matter if the Houthis say (which they have already done, BTW: SAUDI OIL ATTACKS: IRAN-BACKED HOUTHIS WARN FOREIGNERS TO AVOID OIL INSTALLATIONS, THREATEN MORE STRIKES AT ANY MOMENT

But the question that begs to be asked, and answered, is why the best and the brightest American weaponry and defensive systems could not have thwarted these alleged "primitive attacks" on Saudi oil infrastructure, with all the money spent on them?!?

If I were a Middle Eastern country, or a country anywhere in the world here US weaponry is sold, these incidents would definitely have me deeply concerned about making such a purchase of US weaponry in the future, considering the absolute, epic fail of these weapons, when Saudi Arabia's military desperately needed them to function.

NETANYAHU CANCELS UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY APPEARANCE OVER ELECTION RESULTS

There will be no speech by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly that opens next week, as Tuesday’s inconclusive election results has forced him to cancel plans to fly to New York, address the world body, and meet US President Donald Trump.

Instead, Netanyahu will be in the thick of coalition negotiations. This will be the first time in nine years that he will not address the parley. Foreign Minister Israel Katz will do so instead.

According to the UN schedule, Netanyahu was listed as the 12th speaker on September 26, the third and final day of speeches by world leaders. He was scheduled to come to the podium to speak just three slots after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever else is happening, Netanyahu can be counted upon to do everything humanly possible to hang on to whatever power he may be able cling to, through creating coalitions, and presenting himself, as the only viable principal who can make things happen; the rest of the world (including a UN he disregards entirely, and for which he has contempt in the extreme)can go hang!!

Only the Coalition of the Foolish Wants a War With Iran

If you want to identify the most reckless powers in our world today, look no further than Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America.

byVijay PrashadThe reaction from Iran has been calm. The government in Tehran has decided not to cower beneath the storm clouds from Washington. It threatens Canada with its own sanctions if the Canadians do not release seized Iranian assets. An oil tanker that was carrying diesel to the United Arab Emirates has been seized by the Iranians on the grounds of smuggling. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani told the Syria Summit in Ankara, Turkey, that there can be no stability in Syria as long as U.S. troops remain there. Iran refuses to blink. It has taken the position that it must stand strong and call the U.S. bluff.

This is a dangerous bluff.

But it is also a calculated one.

This Wasn’t How Trump’s War on Iran Was Supposed to Go

The U.S. thought it was cleverly choking the regime, but now it's clear that 'maximum pressure' goes both ways.
The Saturday attack on Saudi oil facilities, which took 5.7 million barrels of oil per day offline, is the escalation that wasn’t supposed to happen. Now that it has happened, we enter perilous new terrain.
In the meantime, Trump is in a tight spot of his own making, with neither escalation nor retrenchment looking to be attractive options. The president may have outsmarted himself this time.
The whole drama, in a nutshell, is just the old-fashioned hubris of the imperial power, issuing its edicts, and genuinely surprised when it encounters resistance, even though such resistance confirms for the wunderkinds their view of the enemy’s malevolence.

Is Trump trapped? That is the question of the hour.

Russia and Iran build powerful alliance countering USA and Saudi Arabia

The situation on the world market of oil is reminiscent of a game of tennis with the participation of four players. Russia and Iran play in tandem to raise oil prices, while the tandem of the United States and Saudi Arabia has a goal to cause oil prices to collapse. The players realize that the winner will dictate rules of the game in world politics.

Chinese-Thai Military Cooperation Expanding

Recent news of Bangkok signing a 6.5 billion Thai Baht deal with China to procure a naval landing ship (a landing platform dock or LPD) further illustrates growing ties between Beijing and Bangkok in the sphere of military matters.

The Thai Royal Navy’s only other ship of similar capabilities is the HTMS Angthong, built by Singapore, Bangkok Post reported.

The deal comes in the wake of several other significant arms acquisitions made by Bangkok in recent years including 39 Chinese-built VT-4 main battle tanks (with another batch of 14 being planned), China’s Type-85 armoured personnel carriers and even the nation’s first modern submarine made by China expected to be in service by 2023.

Will the US Use Greece to Block Russia in the Black Sea?

The port of Alexandroupoli is of particular importance to US policy in not only the Balkans, but especially to Russia. It is also an important energy route as the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) pipeline and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is in the region. The port is also important for transportation as it is strategically located close to the Turkish-controlled Dardanelles that connects the Aegean/Mediterranean Seas with the Black Sea, and therefore Russia.

With the acquisition of this port, NATO and US forces may be in the Balkans in only a few hours and can easily stop Russian trade with the world via the Black Sea by blockading the Dardanelles. With Turkey increasingly defying NATO – in which Greece is also a member state of – by improving relations with Russia and buying the S-400, the US can make Greece more aligned with it under the guise of ensuring Greece’s security.

Trump orders 'substantial increase' in sanctions on Iran

This lover of Israel is raising on a busted flush.

President Trump announced Wednesday that he had ordered a “substantial increase” in sanctions on Iran.

“I have just instructed the Secretary of the Treasury to substantially increase Sanctions on the country of Iran!” he wrote on Twitter.

The move comes after Saturday’s drone strikes on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, which the country said had disrupted about half of the kingdom's oil capacity, or 5% of the daily global oil supply.

US Defense Secretary Mike Esper said on Monday that the US military is preparing a response to the attack on major Saudi Arabia oil facilities, AFP reported.

Blunders eroded US military edge in Pacific

The United States Studies Center at the University of Sydney recently issued a report: “Averting Crisis: American Strategy, Military Spending and Collective Defense in the Indo-Pacific.” Averting Disaster would be a better title. The crisis is already here.
Much of the press coverage focuses on the PLA’s ability to launch a sudden, devastating missile strike against vulnerable US bases in the region. But the problems go beyond China’s formidable missile force. Rather, Chinese advances are across the military spectrum: surface ships, fighters and bombers, submarines and anti-submarine warfare, cyber and outer space warfare. Beijing is figuring out how to put it all together – and operating far from Chinese territory.
In simple language: The US could have a hard time in a fight – and might not win. A far cry from years of assumed American superiority over the PLA.

Saudi Arabia Says It Has "Material Evidence" Tying Iran To Aramco Attack

Saudi Arabia revealed yesterday that, contrary to its initial estimates, Aramco should be able to restore oil production to 100% capacity by the end of the month. And on Wednesday morning, the kingdom's Defense Ministry said it was planning a press conference to present "material evidence" purportedly linking Tehran to the unprecedented attack on the Kingdom's oil infrastructure.

The country's defense ministry will hold a news conference later in the day laying out new evidence. This follows reports from the US claiming that the roughly 20 missiles and drones used in the attack had been traced back to a 'launch site' in southern Iran.

Tehran has denied involvement in the Sept. 14 attacks, while the Houthi rebels in nearby Yemen have claimed credit. But Washington and Riyadh have adamantly blamed Iran, whom they have blamed for several 'attacks' in the region since the start of the year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Every time, no matter the administration, I see people from that administration fly off to any destination, as are Mike Pompeo, and other US officials, who remain unnamed, to add "gravitas" to a set of charges apt to bring a third nation a bouquet of lead and depleted uranium , I get very, very nervous.

So, Secretary of State Pompeo, a word, please; with all the wars in which the US Military is enmeshed, those we know about, and those we do not really know about, the people of this country do not want to see our military enmeshed in yet another war with which to placate Israel, which could well go "mammary glands vertical" yet again.

And sir, just in case you are suffering, as do many in the Bowels of Power in DC, from that horrific illness called SMD, "Selective Memory Disorder", I would like to remind you very gently, about a statement a Russian diplomat made toward the end of this June: IRAN WILL NOT BE ALONE, IF THE US ATTACKS

Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, made this statement at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

Secretary of State Pompeo, I would almost wager a bet that this man doesn't even fart without Vlad Putin's permission; so you can bet real money, that what he said was a direct statement from Russia's President Putin.

War with Russia over Iran?!? Sir, I would like to hope (and pray), that this is precisely NOT where this administration is taking us, but it sure as hell looks like it.

Unless President Trump suspends the Constitution and Bill of Rights and declares Martial Law, it will be an election killer, if an election will be held at all in 2020, and will smartly assist the Delirious Dementocrats to recover brilliantly from their "Withering Wednesday" moment, created today, when mega-Demo Contributor, Ed Buck, was arrested by the police.

Create war?!? Lose the 2020 election; find another way to prevent Saudi Arabia from getting hit and hurt with allegedly "primitive" weapons?!? Trump still has the chance to win.

It is, sir, just that simple.,

You are welcome, Mr. Secretary.

Questions, Not Answers Surround U.S. Push to War with Iran

Moscow has had its fill of Netanyahu. He’s openly mocking Trump at international forums, first offering to sell the U.S. Russia’s hypersonic missiles at the G-20 and then offering to sell S-400 missile defense systems to the Saudis to protect their people from outside actors.
All with tongue firmly implanted in cheek, but like with all good comedy a core of undeniable truth.
Things look bad for the alliance between the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia, when your opponents are laughing at you openly. In that moment Putin exposed that the emperor truly was standing naked in front of the world.

‘My AR is Ready’

Last week, a political party of violence peddling Bolsheviks held a debate involving candidates who wish to be anointed the next American Emperor. One candidate by the name of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (known to Real Texans and Real Mexicans as The Fake Mexican) adamantly announced his intentions to confiscate the firearms of peaceful American subjects.

Not surprisingly, this assertion brought a rousing response from those who would object to such a criminal action. One of those objecting was Texas State Rep. Briscoe Cain. His response was equally inflammatory:

“My AR is ready for you, Robert Francis.”
Yes, his “AR is ready.”

1) It’s “ready” to be used to defend himself, his family and his community from criminal, murderous rampages.

Locked and Loaded on Behalf of Empire First

American democracy and capitalist prosperity are dying on the vine of Empire. And this weekend’s drone attack on the largest oil processing facility on the planet is a graphic case of why. So is the related picture below.

The scene is of Yemenis burying a busload of children who were obliterated by American-made bombs delivered by American-made Saudi aircraft, which were being navigated to target by US command and control assets.

This particular cruel foray was just one of thousands of sorties launched by the Saudis since 2015, which have resulted in upwards of 100,000 civilian deaths in northern Yemen and the virtual destruction of its economy – meaning horrific outbreaks of starvation, cholera and other diseases have become commonplace.

Iran Sends Memo to US Gov't via Swiss Mission to Warn against Any Reaction to Aramco Incident

Iran in its memo rejected involvement in offensives on the Saudi oil installations on Saturday, condemning US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other American officials' allegations.

The memo also warned that if any attack is launched against Iran, the Islamic Republic's reaction will be rapid and crushing and will likely target more extensive areas than the origin of the attack.

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement announced on Saturday that its drones had successfully attacked two oil plants in the heart of Saudi Arabia’s oil industry, stressing that the attacks were a firm response to Riyadh’s relentless bombardment of Yemen.

How Russian And Iran Beat Their Opponents' Strategies

Over the last decades Russia and Iran both needed to develop means to protect themselves against an ever growing threat from the United States and its allies. Both found unique ways to build deterrence that fit their situation.
Neither the U.S. nor its allies reacted to those developments by adopting their strategies or military means. It is only recently that the U.S. has woken up to the real situation. The loss of half its oil export capacity may finally wake up Saudi Arabia. Most other U.S. allies are still asleep.

When NATO extended into east Europe and the U.S. left the Anti-Ballistic-Missile Treaty Russia announced that it would develop countermeasures to keep the U.S. deterred from attacking it. Ten years later Russia delivered on its promise.
Iran, in contrast, developed its weapons along an asymmetric strategy just as Russia did.

NIMMO: CUI BONO, ISRAEL, AND THE ATTACK ON SAUDI OIL

If we consult a map, we discover Israel is situated to the northwest of Saudi Arabia. Iran is in the east and Iraq to the north. Because cruise missiles and drones have the capability of changing direction, we do not have a good idea where the missiles came from and the party responsible for launching them.

For the US, this is not a problem. It is now habituated to telling lies, releasing misinformation, and disseminating propaganda associated with false flag attacks. Much of what it reports is believed without question by millions of Americans. The state describes this mass credulity and inability to question authority as “patriotism.”

Attacks On Major Saudi Oil Installations Show Urgent Need For Peace With Yemen

The Houthi armed forces spokesman claimed responsibility for today's attack:

This operation is one of the largest operations carried out by our forces in the depth of Saudi Arabia and came after a accurate intelligence operation and advance monitoring and cooperation of honorable and free men within the Kingdom.
The claim of cooperation by people in Saudi Arabia will make the Saudi rulers even more paranoid than they usually are. It may well be that the drones were launched from inside Saudi Arabia and that their launch point was far nearer to the target than is publicly assumed.

Trump says he does not want war after attack on Saudi oil facilities

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday said it looked like Iran was behind attacks on oil plants in Saudi Arabia but stressed he did not want to go to war, as the attacks sent oil prices soaring and raised fears of a new Middle East conflict.

Iran has rejected U.S. charges it was behind the strikes on Saturday that damaged the world’s biggest crude-processing plant and triggered the largest jump in crude prices in decades.

Relations between the United States and Iran have deteriorated since Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear accord last year and reimposed sanctions over Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic programs.

How were low-tech drones able to pierce Saudi Arabian security? Defence system called into question despite country spending $65bn on arms last year including US radar and Patriot missiles - as mocking Putin says they should have bought Russian.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr.President; a word, please: can you tell both the American people, and the Saudi people, specifically why these US systems, were absolutely impotent, to thwart this attack?!?

This result of this "epic fail" by American weapons makers, is one which is going to have governments scrambling to buy from the Russians, because their s-300 and S-400 systems, actually do what the manual says they will do.

The only possible thing I can think of, as to why these systems didn't work, is that the US technicians who installed them, were ordered to install them so improperly, to insure that they wouldn't work, so that any attack against these facilities would be the springboard for military action against Iran.

Mr. President, in this hideous rush to war against Iran, I would caution utter restrain, and incredible forensic work by both the US military and civilian specialists; a fact-centric, iron-clad case is necessary, because the American people will not tolerate yet another failed military misadventure for control over more oil.

The US and Saudi Arabia vs. MENA

The war in Yemen was a result of US-backed regime change operations aimed at Yemen - along with Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Syria, and Egypt - starting in 2011.

Major hostilities began when the client regime installed by the US was ousted from power in 2015. Since then, the US and its Saudi allies have brutalized and ravaged Yemen triggering one of the worst humanitarian crises of the 21st century.

US SUPPORTED SYRIA "REBELS" FIRE LIVE ROUNDS AT SYRIAN FAMILIES IN RUKBAN CONCENTRATION CAMP - GLOBAL RESEARCH

SOURCE: GLOBAL RESEARCH

Syrian families held captive by Trump Regime Forces and their ISIS affiliates of Maghaweer Thawra terrorists at al-Rukban Concentration Camp went out of their tents in the high heat of the desert to protest for food the day before yesterday, 11th of September, they were faced with live bullets by the US occupation forces.

Russian Coordination Center called on the US occupation forces in Rukban Concentration Camp to exert pressure on US-sponsored Maghaweer Thawra terrorists to stop their terrorist acts against the displaced Syrians held in the camp, these terrorist acts have exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation of the families there.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: our "allies", the ISIS affiliates of Maghaweer Thawra terrorists at al-Rukban Concentration Camp, are committing war crimes, in our name, with our tax dollars, and on your watch.

So the American people are asking: just what, please, do you intend to do about it?!?

Because, sir, this has to stop, and right the heck now: Mr. President, when, please, did we stop being a nation of laws, and become the nation of loot, pillage, and destroy, and expect no blowback?!?

I remember when I was a kid, absorbing all the propaganda about how great this Country was, I never, in my wildest imagination thought, that I would become a citizen of a country supporting war crimes; and yet, at 70, this is what the Unhinged Surveilled State of Amerika has become; a nation which tolerates, and even participates, in war crimes, done in its name.

And please don't get me started US-enabled, Saudi war crimes in Yemen; we will be here all week.

CHINA WARNS TRUMP NOT TO BELIEVE WARHAWK “CONSPIRACY THEORIES” THAT IRAN WAS BEHIND ATTACK ON SAUDI ARABIA

SOURCE: SUMMIT.NEWS
China has warned President Trump that he is being manipulated by warhawks into believing “conspiracy theories” that Tehran was behind the attack on Saudi oil facilities and that any “revenge attack” on Iran could cause the Middle East to “spiral out of control.”

The warning was contained in an editorial posted by the Global Times, which is widely recognized as a Communist Party mouthpiece.

A drone strike against two Saudi oil facilities by Houthi rebels on Saturday took out 5% of the world’s oil supply, but U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo immediately blamed Tehran for the attack.

In the Global Times piece, Beijing asserts that there is no evidence Iran was responsible and that, “US military revenge against Iran will lead the Middle East to spiral out of control.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

SOMEONE at the Global Times in Beijing must be reading WRH!!! :-)

But light banter aside, everyone who cares about this President, and his agenda, must dissuade him from attacking Iran, and particularly right now.

A top Russian official made the statement, at the end of a conference in June, which stated the following:

Iran will not stand alone, if the US attacks. “Iran will withstand this type of fight and Iran is not alone,” Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, said at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

I am betting that this guy doesn't fart without Putin's permission; and if he made such a statement, you can bet your sweet bippy, that he is echoing Putin's stance here.

War with Russia over Iran?!?

I would like to politely suggest to President Trump, that he, and his advisors look very deeply into the possibility that should Iran be attacked, Russia will come to its aid; we have seen just how brilliantly Russia's military hardware and weaponry have performed in Syria.

Please, Mr. President, don't go there.

And what about you, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner?!? How are you going to come down on this issue?!? You two are among the only people President Trump trusts implicitly, to guide him on foreign and domestic policy?

Are you going to attempt to insure that Israel, and Benyamin Netanyahu get the scenario they want (particularly in light of the reality that Israel has national elections today, and Netanyahu is fighting the political fight of his life) by encouraging President Trump to start this war, and perhaps even as early as, perhaps, today?!?

The next 72 hours will tell much, about the direction which you have counseled him to take; and as a Christian Pacifist activist, I am praying that you guide him in the right direction, which means to express restraint; encourage fact-finding here; and figuring out what concrete steps he can take to keep Saudi Arabia safe, without going to war.

US Navy Says It’s Trying to Avoid “Terminator” Scenario as Experts Warn of AI Battlefield Tech

By Elias Marat

It’s long been an image restricted to popular culture: unstoppable robot killers firing their high-powered rifles at clusters of helpless human soldiers with no choice but to flee the battlefield or risk sustaining tremendous losses.

The scenario of military robots and the artificial intelligence (AI) network “Skynet” spinning free from human control forms the basis of The Terminator series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger that has captivated moviegoers around the world. But now, according to a U.S. Navy official, the science fiction nightmare of wars entrusted to machines that “can’t be reasoned with [and] doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear,”—as one character in the original film says—could become a reality...

US defense failure… Why Washington has to blame Iran over Saudi attacks

The devastating blitz on Saudi Arabia’s oil industry has led to a flurry of accusations from US officials blaming Iran. The reason for the finger-pointing is simple: Washington’s spectacular failure to protect its Saudi ally.
The Trump administration needs to scapegoat Iran for the latest military assault on Saudi Arabia because to acknowledge that the Houthi rebels mounted such an audacious assault on the oil kingdom’s heartland would be an admission of American inadequacy.

Formidable Yemeni Houthis Fighters

Things aren’t going well for the US, NATO, Israel, Riyadh, and their jihadist proxies in Yemen.

They’re losing endless war to Ansarullah Houthi rebels, their capabilities much more sophisticated than earlier believed.

Their explosive-laden drones and missiles are able to penetrate Saudi defenses effectively, damaging strategic targets, including kingdom oil fields, its soft underbelly super-wealth producing lifeline.

On Saturday, explosive-laden Houthi drones attacked two Saudi Aramco oil facilities, setting targets struck ablaze — the kingdom’s Abqaiq refinery (the world’s largest) and Khurais oil field.

Both attacks caused huge fires visible from outer space. The facilities are crucial world energy supply chain links.

So instead of an apocalyptic conflict, which would enable them impose martial law across the West and expand their global dominion, a military clash with Iran might entail a series of limited, lesser engagements.

Donald Trump's Neocon Conversion was Predictable

During the election, I wrote a little ebook titled “Donald Trump’s War on Islam.” In addition to pointing out Trump’s pandering to Islamophobia, I wrote about his association with a number of neocons, including Frank Gaffney and John Bolton, who is now his national security adviser. “I think John Bolton’s a good man,” Trump told the Hugh Hewitt Show.

“I watched him yesterday, actually, and he was very good in defending me in some of my views, and very, very strong. And I’ve always liked John Bolton. Well, we are thinking about it, Hugh [nominating Bolton as secretary of state]. I will say that. We are thinking about it. I mean, the negative is what I told you. But we are seriously thinking about it.”

TRUMP IS A NEOCON WARHAWK 'RAPIST'

Trump's foreign policy advisers are Neocon warhawks.

Donald Trump - A NeoCon War Hawk.

Like most conmen politicians, Trump is all things to all men.

Trump tries to appeal to the non Neocons, but, Trump is a Neocon.

The Neocon's current policy is to get their assets to pretend to admit that Iraq was not a wild success.

But, secretly, the Neocons are going to continue to destabilise countries such as Iraq.

Trump's five-member foreign policy team is in bed with the military industrial complex.

FLASHBACK: TRUMP IS A NEOCON

I went to bed at 9:30 last night and woke up to this bullshit. I was disappointed in Trump adding all those Goldman Sachs scumbags as his advisors. I was disappointed he supported Obamacare lite rather than repealing and replacing it. His tax plans look to be dead on arrival. Now, the guy who ran as a non-interventionist, like his two predecessors, has been co-opted by the neo-cons and the military industrial complex. Syria has never posed a threat to the security of the United States. They posed a threat to the Saudi pipeline to Europe. Assad didn’t gas those people. This was a false flag by the “moderate” rebels.

Saudi oil attacks: US says intelligence shows Iran involved

The United States has issued satellite images and cited intelligence to back its allegation Iran was behind attacks on major Saudi oil facilities.

Iran denies involvement in Saturday's air attacks, which were claimed by Iran-aligned Houthi rebels in Yemen.

But unnamed US officials speaking to US and international media say the direction and extent of the attacks cast doubt on Houthi involvement.

The incident has cut global oil supplies by 5% and prices have soared.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Where, please, is the hard evidence Americans can actually trust, rather the bits and pieces of cherry picked "intelligence and accusations" against Iran, which are the only things the US government has been able to produce?!?

And please remember; this is precisely the same Federal Government which told you that Iraq's Saddam Hussein "had weapons of mass destruction", and that Syria's Bashar al Assad "was using chemical weapons against his own people".

They lied to pursue various geopolitical/financial objectives; with Iran one of the premier oil producers in the Middle East, how can we trust that they are not lying again?!?

The short answer is, absolutely not.

Nuclear War With Russia "Winnable" Said Trump's Incoming National Security Advisor

Incoming National Security Advisor, Charles Kupperman, made the claim Nuclear War With USSR Was Winnable.

He made those statements in the 1980s. I do not know his views today, but let's review what he said then.

President Donald Trump’s acting national security adviser, former Reagan administration official Charles Kupperman, made an extraordinary and controversial claim in the early 1980s: nuclear conflict with the USSR was winnable and that “nuclear war is a destructive thing but still in large part a physics problem.”

Kupperman, appointed to his new post on Tuesday after Trump fired his John Bolton from the job, argued it was possible to win a nuclear war “in the classical sense,” and that the notion of total destruction stemming from such a superpower conflict was inaccurate. He said that in a scenario in which 20 million people died in the U.S. as opposed to 150 million, the nation could then emerge as the stronger side and prevail in its objectives.

U.S. OFFICIALS BUILDING A CASE AGAINST IRAN AFTER MASSIVE ATTACK ON SAUDI

Jerusalem Post Middle East

Attack on Saudi was large and sophisticated, satellite images show, and involved numerous drones.

Satellite images released by US officials on Sunday showed the extent of damage on Saudi Arabia’s Abqaiq oil processing facility and at Khurais oil field. The images show 17 impact points on key petroleum infrastructure, including four hits on liquefied natural gas storage tanks.

The images reveal extreme precision by the drones or cruise missiles which struck the oil facilities. ABC News reported on Monday that officials have ascertained that a dozen cruise missiles and 20 drones were fired in the attack. This degree of sophistication is beyond the ability of Yemen’s Houthi rebels, notwithstanding their claim of responsibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I find it interesting - and more than slightly ironic - that it is the US government "building a case" against Iran, and not the Saudi government.

One has to wonder if both the Saudi Government in Riyadh, and Crown Prince Bin Salman, have been given a deadline before which they must respond to Trump's ultimatum regarding identifying Tehran as the culprit here.

And as the Second Cynic in Chief of this website (my Sweetheart being the First Cynic in Chief),I have to wonder if such a deadline... might well be coordinated to dovetail, with the moment Israeli polls are open, and in which Prime Minister Netanyahu is fighting for his political life.

Yemen's military warns foreigners to leave Saudi oil plants

Yemen's military has warned foreigners in Saudi Arabia to leave Aramco's oil processing plants, saying they are still a target and can be attacked "at any moment."

The warning came after Houthis and their allies in the Yemeni army deployed as many as 10 drones to bomb Abqaiq and Khurais oil facilities run by the Saudi state-owned oil company before dawn Saturday.

Spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, General Yahya Sare'a, said in a tweet Monday that the attacks in the kingdom's eastern region had been carried out by drones with normal and jet engines.

He said Saudi Arabia should stop its "aggression and blockade on Yemen," or see the Yemeni army hit the kingdom "anywhere and anytime" it chooses.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even though the Butcher of Yemen I(Prince Bin Salman) has made the statement publicly, that the Saudis can handle these attacks on their own MBS tells Trump Saudi 'willing and able' to respond to attacks, this statement by Houthi rebels, telling foreign workers to get out of Saudi Arabia ASAP, most probably means that another attack is imminent.

Should such a scenario happen, the Israeli government will be high fiving themselves, big-time; because now, there is a proxy army to take down Iran, and not a single drop of blood of Israeli blood will be shed.

Should it happen, I would strongly suggest, that the US will be joining forces with Saudi Arabia, and start bombing Iran, with a potential decap strike against Tehran.

I would, however, suggest to the Adult in the Room in the Bowels of Power, in Saudi Arabia; Israel; or the US, that such a move would trigger Russia to enter the fray on Iran's side, and that... would completely change the math of any potential outcome.

Drone Attack on Saudi Oil Field Seen as ‘Pearl Harbor’ Moment

For many of the national security teams that monitor threats on the U.S., the apparent drone strike Saturday on the heart of Saudi Arabia’s oil production facilities was the realization of their worst fears.

Based on early reports, multiple relatively inexpensive drone devices were able to pierce Saudi defenses in a way that a traditional air force could not: flying long distances to drop potent bombs that apparently set vast portions of the Saudi petroleum infrastructure ablaze.

The attack, for which Houthi rebels battling Saudi Arabia in Yemen took credit, underscored the fears raised by U.S. security officials and experts in terrorism about the rapid evolution of technologies allowing expanded unmanned flight.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the author of this article, I would strongly and politely like to suggest that these actions, if in fact taken by the Houthis, are not Saudi Arabia "Pearl Harbor Moment."

It is, rather, retaliation for the US aided and abetted Saudi war against Yemen, which has assassinated thousands of Yemeni children, women, and the medically fragile elderly; I am not justifying the violence here; I am simply pointing out how this may well have been the real motivation for the attack, if, as has been stated, Houthi rebels actually pulled this off.

And if the US and Saudi intelligence infrastructure were so myopic, that the heads of these agencies, never thought that the Houthis would ever retaliate in this way, they need to be handed their collective hats.

Iran To Release UK-Flagged Tanker As Rick Perry "Wholeheartedly Condemns" Attack On Saudi Arabia

Washington has blamed Iran for this weekend's attack on Saudi Arabia's oil production facilities, which are expected to cut Saudi oil output in half until repairs can be completed. The attack was purportedly carried out by Yemen's Houthi rebels, who have a long history of launching attacks on Saudi soil. But President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have placed blame for the attacks squarely on the Iranians. As we noted over the weekend, the timing of the attack is suspicious, coming as the kingdom renews its push to float 5% of Aramco in what's expected to be the largest-ever IPO. The offering would benefit from higher oil prices. Many have questioned why Saudi Arabia's missile defense capabilities failed to stop the attack.

Iran has denied any responsibility for the attack.

This weekend's attack wiped out 5% of the world's oil supplies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I simply have to ask; would Iranian leadership do something so incredibly stupid that it could cause an outcry which could actually lead to a shooting war here?!?

The short answer is, they would not; these attacks are being "stage managed", very carefully, to give the "illusion" that the attacks were actual provocations by the Iranian against Saudi Arabia, and that there is no other explanation.

Folks, I hate to break it to you; but this week is shaping up as a lousy one for peace, and honorable, reasonable negotiations, and reduced tensions in both the Middle East and the world.

Iran War Imminent? Trump Says US "Locked And Loaded" To Respond To Saudi Attack

Just as the price of oil was settling down from its record surge, it spiked once again, following a tweet by president Trump which has made war with Iran virtually inevitable.

Just before 7pm, Trump tweeted that "Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!"

Setting aside the implicit admission that US foreign policy in the middle-east is now inexplicably run by Saudi Arabia, what is far more troubling is Trump's statement that the US military is "locked and loaded", and set to attack the country which instigated the attack on Saudi facilities, which according to Mike Pompeo was not Yemen, and its Houthi rebels, but rather Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What concerns me the most greatly, is the rapidity with which this scenario is being shoved down the world's collective gullet, even though Houthi spokespeople have claimed claim responsibility for these strikes.

Various elements in the bowels of power, both in Tel Aviv, and the US, wants to see this happen, and quickly, perhaps as a misdirection for Israeli voters when they go to the polls on the 17th.

It is absolutely not the Iranians who benefit from these charges; it is absolutely not the Saudi monarchy, or people, who benefit from these acts.

But the one country whose leadership does benefit, and that... is Israel's current leadership.

With its national elections coming up tomorrow, and Benjamin Netanyahu struggling to insure that the Israeli public will vote him in again, and that is Benjamin Netanyahu, showing how "butch" he is, by demanding that the US go to war with Iran, and immediately.

Would the IDF and Mossad conjure a "false flag" attack against Saudi Arabia's largest petroleum refining plants, ahead of their election, to make Netanyahu "look more appealing" to his voters, because he got the US to rain literal fire and brimstone on Iran?!?

Unfortunately, the short answer is, HELL, yes.

I highly suspect that the Butcher of Yemen is feeling at least some heat, as Trump challenges him to make a statement that Saudi Arabia were attacked by Iran, and quickly, even though he may, through his intelligence resources, well know better.

Massacre At Wounded Knee, 1890

On the morning of December 29, 1890, the Sioux chief Big Foot and some 350 of his followers camped on the banks of Wounded Knee creek. Surrounding their camp was a force of U.S. troops charged with the responsibility of arresting Big Foot and disarming his warriors. The scene was tense. Trouble had been brewing for months.

Tell him he need have no fear in giving up his arms, as I wish to treat him kindly.' Big Foot replied, 'They have no guns, except such as you have found.' Forsyth declared, 'You are lying to me in return for my kindness.'

When the smoke cleared and the shooting stopped, approximately 300 Sioux were dead, Big Foot among them.

Washington and the Whiskey Rebellion Summary

Washington had a personal interest in this. His slave produced hooch couldn't compete against the corn liqour made up in the Mountains. The battle still goes on today.

It was the late 18th century and the national government was cash-strapped. In order to raise money, Congress passed a 25% excise (sales) tax on liquor. Anger about the tax was widespread along the frontier from Pennsylvania to Georgia. Many Americans along the frontier resented the tax from a distant legislature. There were outbreaks of opposition. In rural areas where no one was willing to serve as tax collector, the taxes went unpaid.

Eleven thousand miners in southern Colorado … worked for the Colorado Fuel & Iron Corporation, which was owned by the Rockefeller family. ICE Accidentally Reveals Fascist “Hyper-Realistic” Urban Warfare Training Facility At Army Base

The US Military is being trained to attack the American People

By Aaron Kesel
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency accidentally revealed the location of a new “urban warfare” training facility that is expected to include “hyper-realistic” simulations of homes, hotels and commercial buildings in Chicago and Arizona, Newsweek reported.
The “hyper-realistic” urban training ground will be housed in Fort Benning, Georgia the report details. The information was revealed after ICE failed to redact its acquisition form document that was posted online. After copying and pasting the document’s contents into a separate document, Newsweek said it was able to establish that the facility will be built at the U.S. Army post.

Attack on Saudi oil field a game-changer in Gulf confrontation Analysis by Tim Lister, CNN Updated 9:29 AM ET, Sun September 15, 2019 Reporter: 'Startlingly dangerous moment' in Middle East condor diverted flight map Spilled coffee diverted transatlanti

It is a game changer all right. A couple more strikes like this and it will be the end of the House of Saud!

(CNN)The attack on the world's largest oil processing plant early Saturday morning is a dramatic escalation in the confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia -- even if the Iranians didn't fire the drones or missiles responsible.

Several projectiles struck the Abiqaiq plant, starting a series of fires that quickly took out nearly half Saudi's oil production -- 5% of the global daily output -- and sparking fears about the security of the world's oil supplies.
It's unclear when Abiqaiq, which is operated by Saudi giant Aramco, will be fully operational again.

US, Israel negotiating mutual defense treaty: Trump

This is very dangerous. This is how WW1 and WW2 got started.

US President Donald Trump has confirmed on Twitter that he has spoken to his Israeli counterpart Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the prospects of signing a mutual defence treaty.

Saying such a pact would “further anchor the tremendous alliance between our two countries,” Trump said he looked “forward to continuing those discussions after the Israeli Elections,” during a meeting at the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly.

mran Khan Doesn't Rule Out Pakistan's Possible War With India Going Nuclear

When asked if Pakistan would hit India with nuclear weapons in case of a large-scale conflict, Khan first ruled out his country initiating the attack.

“Pakistan would never start a war, and I am clear: I am a pacifist. I am anti-war,” he said.

However, Khan added that when two nuclear-armed states “fight a conventional war, there is every possibility that it is going to end up in a nuclear war.”

“If say Pakistan, God forbid, we are fighting a conventional war, we are losing, and if a country is stuck between the choice: either you surrender or you fight ‘til death for your freedom – I know Pakistanis will fight to death for their freedom,” said Pakistan’s PM.

Khan has repeatedly warned in recent weeks that foreign powers, along with the UN, need to intervene in the standoff between India and Pakistan over disputed Kashmir.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope that no unhinged Pakistani group, or movement, is about to "take care of direct military action" against india, in behalf of Pakistan; I very much respect Khan's performance so far as Pakistan's President, but right now, he needs to reach out to the most disaffected, and despairing of his own people, and those in Kashmir, by preaching hope, moderation, and ultimately, a political solution here.

Breaking: US is Ready to Tap Strategic Petroleum Reserve Amid Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities

Two key oil processing plants in Saudi Arabia were attacked by drones on Saturday causing the interruption of about half of the company's total daily oil output. The attacks were claimed by the Houthi movement of Yemen.

The United States is ready to tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve if necessary in order to rebalance the global energy supply in the wake of the drone attacks on major Saudi oil facilities, White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said in an interview with "Fox News Sunday."

Conway hinted at the possibility of a meeting between President Donald Trump and the Iranian leadership on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York. But she added that the chances of such a meeting happening are now in doubt due to the drone attacks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The ever fact-free, unhinged, surveilled State of America is probably happy that these attacks happened, because it gives President Trump the justification for not meeting the Iranian leadership at the UN general assembly.

Ready For War': IRGC General Says US Bases, Carriers Close to Iran Are Within Range of Its Missiles

The statement comes as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Saturday blamed Iran for recent drone attacks on Saudi Aramco's oil fields, urging the international community "to publicly and unequivocally condemn Iran’s attacks".

Tehran has always been prepared for a full-fledged war, Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps Aerospace Force Chief Amirali Hajizadeh said in a statement on Sunday, just a day after two drone attacks on oilfields in Saudi Arabia, which were claimed by Houthis and blamed by the US and Saudi Arabia on Tehran.

“Everybody should know that all American bases and their aircraft carriers, at a distance of up to 2,000 kilometres around Iran, are within the range of our missiles,” Hajizadeh said.

According to Hajizadeh, the Iranian military are ready to target two US bases and one carrier in the event of an armed conflict.

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Sigh); Admiral Hajizadeh, we understand this.

But what I don't get is, if in fact these are the preparations being made ready for a fight against the US military, why are you broadcasting them to the entire world?!? It would seem to me that, rather than being a declaration for your coming actions, this information is deliberate disinformation, to prevent the US (and possibly Israel) from knowing what your true intentions are here.

I have to tell you, Admiral Hajizadeh, there are many in this country who detest the US's proclivity toward war, rather than making the choice for hard-one negotiations to bring peace; of course, we are no more in control of the institutions of power in our government... than are the Iranian people with theirs.

Nuclear War With Russia "Winnable" Said Trump's Incoming National Security Advisor

Authored by Mike Shedlock via MishTalk,

Questioning “mutual assured destruction,” Charles Kupperman called nuclear conflict “in large part a physics problem.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but is being barking-dog mad, science-challenged, and pig-headedly wrong, now three prerequisites for attaining the US's office of National Security Advisor?

And if one will note, his school background Bio: Charles Kupperman shows absolutely no studies in nuclear physics, or nuclear energy. He has been, in previous administrations, in various positions where he should have had the scientific knowledge necessary to really handle the positions to which he was assigned, which included the following: 'Kupperman was a foreign policy adviser to Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign.[7] After Reagan was elected, Kupperman joined the Reagan administration. He was Executive Assistant to the Acting Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and then the Executive Director of the General Advisory Committee on Arms Control[8] of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, before becoming the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Office of Personnel Management.[6] In July 1986 he became Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the Office of Administration.[4]

Kupperman worked at two defense contractors, Lockheed Martin and Boeing; he was the vice president for business development for missile defense systems for Boeing and the vice president of Washington Space Operations for Lockheed Martin Corporation.'

And I have to ask, as a person very concerned about the trajectory of US foreign policy, why is it that, when someone leaves the administration in a huff, they tend to get replaced by an individual who is even more to the right of Attila the Hun regarding Russia,China, and Iran than was their predecessor?!?

So Mr. President, I would like to politely suggest that the US needs a Director for a US Department of Science, to advise your Advisors, particularly Kupperman.

I do not know what the brilliant American scientist Michio Kaku is doing right now; Bio: Michio Kaku
but this guy is absolutely solid on the science of nuclear war, and would be a great person to have in your cabinet.

And another person with whom you want Kupperman to consult, is the highly respected physician, Dr. Helen Caldicott. Bio: Dr. Helen Caldicott

Mr. President, please: these are two people who will not tell you "Yes, Mr. President", if both their logic and scientific grounding, tells them that a particular move by this country, would put it on dangerous ground.

And Mr. President, if there was ever a time during your first Administration when you desperately needed people like Kaku and Caldicott, who are invested in telling you the truth, the time for such people to be included, and listened to, is right the hell now, President Trump.

You are welcome!

IN HIS FINAL DAYS, A VIETNAM VET AT A VA FACILITY WAS TWICE FOUND COVERED IN ANTS, DAUGHTER SAYS

SOURCE: CNN.COM
(CNN)An Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam and was living his final days at a US Department of Veterans Affairs assisted-living facility was twice found covered in ants and photos show scores of bites on his body, his daughter said Thursday.

Laquana Ross said her father, Joel Marrable, died Saturday at the Eagles' Nest Community Living Center in the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Ross said she is not upset with the VA over the ants, but wants her father's story to prompt change.

"Maybe this can move the needle and improve the process," she said. "The VA is busy. They have a lot of patients and huge needs they have to address."

Webmaster's Commentary:

As much as I abhor war, as a methodology for the US getting what it wants from other countries, not one more of our Veterans should ever have to put up with this lack of basic medical care, ever!!!

A society can definitely be judged by how well it treats its most fragile members, and that includes many of our medically fragile elderly Vets; and right now, this country is failing these people in an extreme and horrific way, as evidenced by this case.

NO human being is ever expendable, and all, particularly when they near their journey's end, should be treated with grace, common sense medical care, and compassion.

Our Vets are NOT "disposable", thank you very much!!!!

US ENERGY HEAD TO DISCUSS NUCLEAR POWER WITH SAUDIS ON MONDAYPublished: September 13, 2019Share | Print This

SOURCE: ALJAZEERA.COM
US Energy Secretary Rick Perry said on Friday he will meet the new Saudi energy minister on Monday and likely discuss plans Saudi Arabia has to build nuclear reactors.

Perry did not say where he would meet Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, who took over from Khalid al-Falih on Sunday. But a US official said the meeting would likely take place on the sidelines of an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) meeting in Vienna next week.

The kingdom has so far resisted agreeing to standards that would block its ability to enrich uranium and reprocessing of plutonium, possible pathways to making an atomic weapon. On Monday, Prince Abdulaziz said the kingdom wanted to enrich uranium for its nuclear power programme, potentially complicating talks with the Trump administration on the atomic pact and the role of US companies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Secretary Perry, a word, please; you cannot deny to the world that Saudi Arabia wants nuclear energy for nuclear bombs, particularly vis a vis Iran.

You have to make whatever agreement the Saudis want stick, because if you do not, Saudi Arabia will get whatever it needs from nuclear-armed Pakistan, no questions asked.

Ah yes, this is JUST what the Middle East needs right now; yet another despotic theocracy with nuclear weapons!!

Top 10 American War Crimes

Most Americans like to think their military is a tool for preserving the freedom and well-being of people throughout the world. Generations of American soldiers have indeed performed noble and heroic feats in defense of these values. However, since the earliest days of the nation, encounters with the US military have often meant death and destruction, as opposed to freedom and justice. From the American Revolution to the War on Terror, soldiers from every generation have taken part in atrocities of one form or another. If there is any hope for preventing American war crimes in the future, the past transgressions of the US military must be acknowledged and, when possible, the perpetrators brought to justice.

War Is A Racket By Major General Smedley Butler

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street.

The Founding Fathers Warned Against Standing Armies

The Founding Fathers distrusted standing armies.

For example, James Madison said:

In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.

Madison also noted that never-ending war tends to destroy both liberty and prosperity:

Why The Founding Fathers Opposed A Standing Army

Their revolutionary experience of the founding fathers forged a deep mistrust of standing armies. They viewed them as a pernicious threat to liberty. Here are just a few quotes that explain how and why the idea (what we would call a police state today) was anathema to the first Americans.

During the Virginia ratifying convention, James Madison described a standing army as the “greatest mischief that can happen.”

In addition, fellow delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1787, George Mason put a finer point on it:

“No man has a greater regard for the military gentlemen than I have. I admire their intrepidity, perseverance, and valor. But when once a standing army is established in any country, the people lose their liberty.

Drone attacks trigger huge fires at Saudi Aramco oil facilities, Houthis claim responsibility

Get ready for price increases on your gasoline courtesy of Donald Trump and the US Militaries support of Saudi Arabia and their genocide in Yemen!

Houthi rebels in Yemen say they deployed 10 armed drones which hit two large Saudi Aramco oil facilities on Saturday morning, causing massive fires and huge clouds of smoke on the sites.
The attack was carried out by the Houthi Air Force, the spokesperson for the Yemeni rebel group, Brigadier Yahya Serai, said on Al Masirah TV, vowing to “expand the operations against the Saudi regime in the future.”

'Secret' US Military Base Near Russian Border Revealed in Documents Mishap

This is not the first time "secret" American bases have accidentally been revealed to the public and their possible opponents as a result of a mishap. Last year, a popular fitness smartphone app published global "hotspots", some of which could only be explained by soldiers stationed at such bases using the app in their training sessions.

DRONE ATTACK ON SAUDI OIL FACILITIES IS MAJOR ESCALATION: The full details of the most recent attack on September 14 were not available on Saturday morning and it was not clear where the drones had come from.BY SETH J. FRANTZMAN SEPTEMBER 14, 2019 12:48

The attacks began around four in the morning; video showed massive fires, billowing smoke and locals reported explosions. Iranian media implied that the attacks were carried out by Houthi rebels in Yemen, who have been backed by Theran. However the facilities that were struck are in northeastern Saudi Arabia, closer to Bahrain and Qatar. A drone would have to fly 1,000 km. to reach the facilities.

But the attack was also a serious escalation. This is the third attack of this kind, a long-range strike on key oil infrastructure. It shows that ability of the drone operator to carry out precision attacks. It also shows they have improve the ordnance carried by the drones, and that the drones can fly long-distances.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This coverage, by jpost.com, is a far more sane, and nuanced article than those hitting other blogs on this topic, and one thing was made very clear here; at this moment, no one knows who was to blame. However, the Daily Mail didn't hesitate to run with the following headline:

Iran-backed militants admit drone swarm strike on world's largest oil processing plant in Saudi and at second nearby facility sparking huge fires as tensions reach boiling point following tanker attacks

The article then went on to state the following: 'A military spokesman for Yemen's Houthi rebels, considered an Iranian proxy force in the region, has claimed responsibility for today's attacks on Abqaiq and Khurais, two major facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia run by state-owned oil giant Aramco.'

OK, Henry Martin, and FHP, if the guy was stating this information publicly, who, please, was he?!?

Because forgive me; but one thing I learned in my civics class, was that reporting was all about "Who, Where, What, Why, and How." How can people believe this codswallop when you have refused to let your readers know who actually made this statement?!?

PressTV.com gave an interesting touch, by claiming that the attacks didn't come from Iran, but rather by Houthi rebels, and here is the way they covered it: Fires engulf Saudi Arabia's oil facilities after drone attacks

This article (unlike Daily Mail), then states the following: 'The movement's military spokesman General Yahya Sare'e said 10 drones were deployed against the sites in Abqaiq and Khurais, and pledged to widen the range of attacks on Saudi Arabia.

Now, this guy appears to have been around for a long time, as the public face of the movement; Image: General Yahya Sare'eHe looks to be somewhere in his later 30s, and has the face, and demeanor, of someone intimately acquainted with war.

But the questions which need answering, include:

1. Why would Iran want to be blamed for attacking Saudi Arabia right now?!?
This makes utterly zero sense. The Iranian leadership understands that if, somehow, they are being blamed for this attack, and "the crud" of these accusations is somehow made to stick it, will hasten a US/Saudi /(and, probably covert) Israeli attack against it.

2. Where are these sophisticated drones in the the rebels' arsenal, actually being made?!? Are they truly Yemeni created home made weapons, or from other Shiaa supporting enclaves in the Middle East?

But there is one thing I do know; a couple of days ago, Netanyahu was in Moscow, and made the following statement: Meeting Putin after 3-hour wait, Netanyahu vows to stop Iran’s attacks on Israel:

On pre-election trip with an eye on Russian-born voters, PM says Tehran’s presence in Syria is ‘intolerable threat,’ credits his ties with Putin for best Moscow-Jerusalem relations

But the problem is, these attacks have been against Syria; not against Iran proper.

Painting a drone with national colors of an enemy country, or any enemy group, is no big deal; but the big question is, did Netanyahu make this call because he's three days away from the National Election in Israel (and with all Knesset seats up for grabs, I might add), and is looking to have a full-scale war against Syria by the time Monday rolls around?!?

In looking at this, in the most sang-froid way possible; cui bene?!? Who benefits?!?

This doesn't benefit the Houthi rebels, because Saudi Arabia and the US will pound down harder and harder on Yemen.

Iran doesn't benefit, because characterizing these Houthi rebels as being "pro-Iranian" simply brings the date of a serious air/land conflict between Iran, the US and Saudi Arabia ever closer, with Russia most probably taking Iran's side in the conflict.

But Israel, mounting a full-tilt boogie attack by bombing Saudi Arabia's oil structure,, with falsely colored drones, and blaming the alleged strike against Yemen, could definitely benefit Israel, by creating an environment ripe for escalation, in Syria, and quickly.

Please remember that word, "quickly"; if I am correct, we could see the events in the Middle East stumbling out of control as quickly as tomorrow, 15 September. Folks, I am so hoping that I am dead wrong on this, but the degree to which Israel is playing its hand in Syria, so close to the Israeli election, does give me cause for concern here.

A Navy Carrier Strike Group Is Deploying Without Its Broken-Down Aircraft Carrier

Ships from the Navy's Harry S. Truman Strike Group are deploying from the East Coast this week, but one thing is missing -- the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman.

Four ships -- the guided-missile cruiser Normandy and guided-missile destroyers Lassen, Forrest Sherman and Farragut -- will form a surface action group (SAG) as the Truman continues undergoing repairs.

The Madness of James Mattis

The wildly unpopular if not forbidden-to-be-uttered truth is that Mattis, while an admittedly decorated marine and military strategist, was an abject failure. Despite being hailed as a “warrior monk,” he was and remains a conventional interventionist figure – prisoner to the tired old militarist ideas of the necessity for US military forward deployment, counterinsurgency in Afghanistan, and the perpetual need to balance or “contain” Russia and China. His career-long defense of America’s post-9/11 engagements should be the first sentence of his obituary.

FBI Finally Agrees To Name Saudi Official Who Helped 9/11 Attackers

Just 18 years after the terrible events of September 11, 2001, The FBI has agreed to provide a key piece of new information about alleged official Saudi involvement following intense efforts by the victims families.

While the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, remains at Guantanamo Bay (trial date set for January 2021!), he opened the door in July to helping victims of the attacks in their lawsuit against Saudi Arabia if the U.S. government spares him the death penalty.

And, as The Wall Street Journal reports, victims’ families have urged the government to make more information public, telling President Trump in a letter recently that it would help them “finally learn the full truth and obtain justice from Saudi Arabia.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Riyadh will ALWAYS deny official Saudi responsibility for anything (including the assassination of Khasshogi), but that place where perception and and reality collide, can be a very dangerous, nasty place, which is right where we are with these revelations.

First, I do not think it insignificant, that the trial is set for January of 2021, right after the 2020 elections happen in November.

But I will tell you that no matter which party is in power, going in to 2021, the following scenarios are perfectly plausible, given the US Government's and FBI's track record for pulling stunts like this:

1. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed winds up Fosterized, Epsteined, or "Rubyed", courtesy of some commonly weaponized disease, conveniently right around New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, so that his death is not seen on the front pages of any newspaper or at the top of any blog.

He may wind up with a massive cerebrovascular "accident" (where the heart and brain fail, simultaneously), and could not be "saved", because the medical professionals at Gitmo do not have the training/surgical skills to pull someone through an event like this.

Let's call it squarely as it stands; Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is a "Live Liability", to both the current Saudi despotic government, and to the US government, and live liabilities in this country... tend to die, before what they have to say can be heard, even if they stray only slightly from the "proscribed script".

But if the guy is allowed to survive, and testify, please remember; because of being tortured, doped up, psychologically "played with" and mentally deconstructed, what we will see at this trial, is a completely "subservient little "Lambikin", who will only say what his Gitmo handlers have told him to say; no more; no less.

And if I sound more than just a little bit angry, perhaps I am, because all the sound, fury, and misdirection we will hear, is just that; sound, fury, and misdirection, leading away from the real perpetrators who created this monstrous event, as the "justification" to invade both Afghanistan and Iraq.

I stand in solidarity with those who mourn the friends and family they have lost, also to those who lost (and are losing) friends and family because Christy Todd Whitman, EPA at the time 9/11 happened, told American and the world, that it was "safe" for people to breath the noxious air, which has lead to other horrific diseases and cancers.

Christine Todd Whitman admits that she was "wrong" in telling First Responders to 9/11 that the air was fine to breathe:

The article goes on to state: 'Former EPA head admits she was wrong to tell New Yorkers post-9/11 air was safe.

Christine Todd Whitman, who reassured the public over Ground Zero air, says: ‘I’m sorry. We did the very best we could … with the knowledge we had.’

No, my dear, you said what you were ORDERED to say from higher ups; your lying about the air quality in New York, post 9/11, created even more death and destruction for our First Responders, because people took you at your word, and believed they were safe. "Sorry", 3 years ago just doesn't cut it. But of course, you, like every figure in that palpating sewer of corruption which defines DC, had your conscience surgically removed before you took that job with the EPA, because "everyone in DC does it."

But the loss I feel even more intently, and for which I mourn the most, is the loss of the country I once believed I understood, and whose alleged values I believed honorable; and perhaps my naivete was so intense, that this "fall" from a noble perspective of what national government is supposed to do, and the values it really holds, was inevitable.

The US government, and its alleged "Congressional Members" are all about the transforming into money junkies, and it is fascinating to see how they get into power at the national level, and how they manipulate that governmental power structure to their financial well being.

These are the people who see war as simply policy by other means, and when Karl Marx made the observation that all wars are economic in their origin, from President Bush Through President Obama, and on to President Trump, these Presidents have done their level best in proving him true.

Indian Military Waiting for Government Order to Retrieve Pakistan's Part of Kashmir - Army Chief

New Delhi (Sputnik): A day ahead of a big rally by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in Muzaffarabad - the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir - India has made a strong statement about retrieving Kashmir from Islamabad.

With some Indian ministers underlining the need to discuss Pakistani-administered Kashmir, the Indian Army chief has said the troops always remain ready mode whenever the government wants them to go ahead and retrieve that side of Kashmir.

General Bipin Rawat’s remark came days after two key ministers including the Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, touched upon the issue of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

"The government takes action in such matters. Institutions of the country will work as per the orders of the government. The army is always ready", said General Rawat while replying to the media on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Pakistan decides to do this, SOME adult in the room, on both India's and Pakistan's side needs to get the leadership in both countries to "cage the rage, and engage;" calm moral leadership is desperately required to keep these countries from starting World War III.

Americans Are Starting to Favor a Major Break With the DC Foreign Policy Consensus

A new poll shows that American voters favor a series of policies which, if enacted, would radically reshape U.S. foreign policy around the world–especially when it comes to the use of military force.

The poll, from progressive group Data for Progress and YouGov, shows that nearly half of Americans voters want to change the Authorization of Use of Military Force, Congress’s 2001 decision to authorize the president to use military force against those responsible for the September 11 attacks. Only 33 percent want to keep it in place.

It also shows that 62 percent of American voters strongly or somewhat support reducing U.S. aid to alleged human rights abusers, and that 52 percent of voters support or strongly support ending weapons sales to Saudi Arabia, which has used U.S. weapons and support to inflict thousands of civilian casualties in Yemen.

Raytheon anticipates international boom in counterdrone sales

Raytheon is expecting a boom in international sales of its counter-UAS system already battle-tested with the U.S. Army.

The Howler system, which includes a Ku-Band Radio Frequency Sensor (KURFS), a command and control system and its Coyote unmanned aircraft system designed to take out enemy drones, should see an abundance of buyers soon. The system could also include a high energy laser defeat solution and a high-powered microwave capability to provide a non-kinetic approach to knocking drone threats out of commission, according to company officials.

Unleash the hornets: Combat vehicles and robots get new kit to increase standoff

A FLIR System that deploys tiny unmanned aerial vehicles from a ruggedized container affixed to the front of a vehicle is helping to shape how advanced teaming can be used on the tactical edge against near peer threats.

At DSEI — a major defense exposition in London — the system that deploys Black Hornet UAVs, which is the system chosen by the U.S. Army for the Soldier Borne Sensor program, made its appearance in several variations around the showroom floor.

Rheinmetall had it built onto the front of its Mission Master Unmanned Ground System representing a surveillance variant.

At Kongsberg, the system is integrated with a remote weapon station. The idea is that the package of tiny UAVs can be forward deployed from a combat vehicle while soldiers stay inside and maintain standoff from enemy forces. The UAVs can perform reconnaissance and possible targeting assistance so the vehicle knows where it can shoot.

More Americans Questioning Official 9/11 Story As New Evidence Contradicts Official Narrative

Authored by Whitney Webb via MintPressNews.com,

Today the event that defined the United States’ foreign policy in the 21st century, and heralded the destruction of whole countries, turns 18. The events of September 11, 2001 remains etched into the memories of Americans and many others, as a collective tragedy that brought Americans together and brought as well a general resolve among them that those responsible be brought to justice.

While the events of that day did unite Americans in these ways for a time, the different trajectories of the official relative to the independent investigations into the September 11 attacks have often led to division in the years since 2001, with vicious attacks or outright dismissal being levied against the latter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We do not need new investigations; we know precisely what happened on 9/11, and who the real criminals and tyrants were, to bring about this horrific spectacle of death and destruction into being.

This event allowed the US to slide ever further into a dictatorship from which it may never recover, and was manipulated by unscrupulous US politicians and elements of overseas countries, who wanted to see this happen, as a premise for war against both Afghanistan and Iraq.

And unless and until those truly responsible for this heinous crime are charged, tried, and convicted for their crimes against both humanity, and the true democratic republic of the United States of America, there will never be closure here.

But do not hold your breath; the monied, particularly those career criminals ensconced in the higher echelons of the US Deep State and Military Industrial Complex, rarely eat their own.

PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS: 9/11 AFTER 18 YEARS

9/11 After 18 Years

Paul Craig Roberts

I would appreciate hearing from readers whether they have come across a report in the print, TV, or NPR media of the highly professional four-year investigation of WTC Building 7’s demise. The international team of civil engineers concluded that the official story of Building 7’s destruction is entirely false. I reported their findings here: https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/09/04/the-official-story-of-the-...

On the basis of the known evidence, knowledgeable and informed people have concluded that 9/11 was an inside job organized by Vice President Dick Cheney, his stable of neoconservatives, and Israel for the purpose of reconstructing the Middle East in Israel’s interest and enriching the US military/security complex in the process.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hear you, Paul; the 9/11 report was simply a piece of politically concocted codswallop, which all Americans and the world were compelled to swallow whole.

I, for one, didn't swallow; therefore, the possibility that I can ever trust the Federal government with anything.... is dim to the point of non-existent.

Anyhow, now it’s 2019 and for some other unfathomable reason your great-grandchildren dig you out of the freezer chest, defrost you, zap you a few times with a cattle prod to get your heart pumping, walk you around for a bit while feeding you strong black coffee and here you are again, good as new and ready for action.

Veterans Reach Their Tipping Point Against Our Post-9/11 Wars

An important new consensus is forming against America’s endless wars, shaped by an important constituency: the military veterans who have sacrificed so much to fight them. A Pew Research poll of veterans released contained results that contradict the cherished talking points of the bipartisan Washington foreign policy blob that sees “leadership” and “engagement” as being synonymous with bombing and regime change.

Sixty-four percent of veterans said the war in Iraq was not worth fighting when the costs to America are weighed against the ostensible benefits to the region and our national security. Just 33 percent concluded that George W. Bush’s Baghdad democracy adventure was worthwhile in retrospect.

The Trillion-Dollar Military Still Isn’t Enough for the War Party

By Ryan McMaken

Since the end of the Cold War in 1990, US defense spending has increased 182 percent in nominal terms, and 44 percent in inflation-adjusted terms. In inflation-adjusted terms, defense spending is now about equal with the all-time peak reached in 2011, and the White House’s Office of Management and Budget estimates that defense spending will reach an all-time high in 2020...

Unused Militaries

Unused militaries deteriorate

The US fleet has not been in a war since 1945, the air forces since 1975. nor the Army in a hard fight since Vietnam. Bombing defenseless peasants, the chief function of the American military, is not war.

In extended periods of peace, which includes the bombing of peasants, a military tends to assume that no major war will come during the careers of those now in uniform. Commanders consequently do what makes their lives easy, what they must do to get through the day and have reasonable fitness reports. This does not include pointing out inadequacies of training or equipment. Nor does it include recommending large expenditures to remedy deficiencies. Nor does it include recommending very expensive mobilization exercises that would divert money from new weapons.

We refuse to be a ‘normal country’ if it means US-style bombings & invasions, Moscow tells Pentagon

It’s better not to be a “more normal country” if that means being as prone to invasions and coups as the United States, top Russian ministers have said, firing back at bizarre remarks by a new Pentagon chief.
It would be “great” if the West “could get Russia to behave like a more normal country,” Mark Esper, the newly appointed defense secretary, was reported to have claimed while visiting Paris this week.

That remark did not go down well with Moscow, however.

“If he said so, he called upon us to act as a normal country [as such] and not like the United States,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a press briefing in the Russian capital, where he and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had a face-to-face meeting with French counterparts.

DENMARK ANNOUNCES INCREASED MILITARY CONTRIBUTIONS AND NATO SUPPORT IN SYRIA AND BEYOND

SOURCE: ALETHO NEWS

BY SARAH ABED | SEPTEMBER 9, 2019
Denmark is recognized as one of the most socially and economically developed countries in the world, which enjoys a high standard of living as well as high metrics in national performance, protection of civil liberties, and the lowest perceived level of corruption in the world, has announced that it will be boosting military contributions to missions around the world, including joining the United States in its illegal and unauthorized deployment in northeastern Syria.

The sovereign and proud nation of Syria has neither invited nor does it accept any foreign invaders on its land and has repeatedly demanded that all foreign forces leave on their own before they are forced out. Syria is highly committed to liberating every inch of its land from terrorist control whether that be domestic or foreign, and protecting its territorial integrity.

WOW!

The only thing I can think right now is, which high Danish government official got "so badly compromised" that they felt compelled to promise these actions for the US and NATO?!?

PAM ANDERSON, MEGHAN MCCAIN, AND WAR CRIMES

SOURCE: KURTNIMMO.BLOG

Thanks to “public” education (indoctrination) and the corporate media, far too few Americans understand the founders designed a constitutional republic. Instead, we’re told America is a “democracy”—the ideal of mob rule—and we all have a role to play in deciding who will lead the nation.

This is, of course, nonsense. We are spectators in the bleachers of the three-ring circus of national elections. The state is run by and for the sake of the financial class and transnational corporations. The election of handpicked yesmen (and women) every four and eight years is routinely portrayed as the will of the people.

This is why Donald Trump is a big problem—he went around the political class and made grandiose promises (deep-sixed after the election) and this is why so many Americans voted for him and why the state and its professional careerist class of politicians hate him and want him impeached, even dead.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The pattern, here, has been crystal clear and painfully obvious; destabilize a government not to the US government's liking; replace that government with one that is to the US government's liking; invite corporations the US government likes (and from whom top US political leaders get overt, and covert support for their campaigns); allow those corporations to expropriate resources to which they, nor the US government ,have any moral right; and sell those resources only in American dollars.

Wash; rinse; repeat. I mean, folks, could this be any simpler?!?

Julian Assange was simply "the messenger", about the absolute, metastasizing, core-deep rot at the center of the bowels of power in this government, which is why so many people in power hate him, and want to see him dead.

That said, I do not believe that the deep state in this country will "Epsteinize" him; perhaps, as most likely happened with Jack Ruby, Assange may find himself fighting an "incurable disease", and he will die right before any legal process can begin.

And if you are shaking you head that this could not be possible, kindly read the following: Biological Warfare: Is it possible to weaponize cancer? 3 Answers

The article goes on to state: 'Luckily for us, cells that don't play by the rules as per the above can be killed off by natural killer (NK) cells, which can easily lyse (under normal conditions, anyway) cells lacking MHC proteins.

However- and this is where the potential for weaponization in humans comes in- recent research seems to indicate that NK cells can't just lyse something that doesn't display MHC proteins- they also need stimulation from at least one of a wide variety of surface ligands. If someone was able to make a cancer cell line that selectively knocked out both components in the MHC display system and a wide variety of these NK-activating ligands, that cancer cell line would probably be invulnerable to a human immune system.

Of course, you'd still have to go around injecting people with these cells, which is why it'd make for an awful weapon of mass destruction.'

But... what if you only needed a few dead, and to make the origins of their disease... untraceable?!? Please be aware that US alphabet soup agencies are already light years ahead of other civilian research in areas like this.

NETANYAHU ACCUSES IRAN OF SECRET NUCLEAR WEAPONS SITE

SOURCE: ALJAZEERA.COM
Iran was clandestinely developing nuclear weapons but destroyed a secret site after Israel discovered it, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alleged on Monday.

Tehran had been developing atomic arms at a facility in Abadeh, south of Iranian city of Isfahan, said Netanyahu. It was the first time the prime minister identified the site after publicly accusing Iran of building a bomb last year while citing a trove of Iranian documents allegedly stolen by Israeli agents from an Iranian warehouse.

"In this site, Iran conducted experiments to develop nuclear weapons," Netanyahu said, adding after Israeli intelligence found out about it, "they destroyed the site. They just wiped it out".

The prime minister did not provide further details on the alleged experiments, or say when they purportedly were held.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Prime Minister Netanyahu, a word, please.

You have been consistently tossing out absolutely wildly unsubstantiated claims over the past several years, at every forum you could find, in which you have accused Iran, over and over, of having secret nuclear weapons labs.

So please, let the IAEA do its job, and it will; period, end of discussion.

I, and the world, understand that it is precisely 7 days from now, when Israel will have its next General Election, with every seat in the Knesset up for grabs; and this is not lost on people who understand that, due to corruption charges and other issues, you are fighting for your political life, during this period.

And if, sir, you and the IDF are planning any kind of a decap strike against Tehran, to make you look absolutely "war-centric" to the Israeli electorate, I would strongly caution you all to not do this.

I don't know if you, or any of your advisors happened to read the following story, but think you, and your advisors, need to perhaps take another look at it, so I am doing you the courtesy of re-posting: Iran won't be alone, if the US attacks,Russian official says

A US/Israeli decap strike on Iran, with Russia coming in on Iran's side?!?

Sir, I certainly hope that I am not the only one on this planet who cannot sleep at night, considering how such a potential scenario, conveniently right before the Israeli elections, might well unfold.

The other possibility, which would absolutely stun the world, is that you and Iran's Hasan Rouhani, cobble together a peace, trade, and cooperation treaty, forestalling a war between Israel and Iran; of course, that will only happen when pigs discover they can fly, because Israel's government has become superb at manipulating its "fear dynamic" against their own people, so that everything, from killing an unarmed Palestinian child, to creating World War III,can always be justified by that government.

SAUDI ENERGY MINISTER CONFIRMS PLAN TO ENRICH URANIUM

SOURCE: ZEROHEDGE
Among the most underreported but explosive stories of the past six months has been growing signs of Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions. But now there are new questions over whether the kingdom's future planned two nuclear power reactors will be limited to purely energy-related and peaceful purposes.

On Monday the kingdom's nuclear energy minister said Saudi Arabia wants to enrich uranium for its nuclear power program, Reuters reports — an announcement likely to hinder talks with Washington over American companies' potential help in establishing its atomic energy program.

"The world’s top oil exporter says it wants to use nuclear power to diversify its energy mix, but enrichment also opens up the possibility of military uses of uranium," Reuters noted.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Golly Gee, Whillakers!!! What could POSSIBLY go wrong with that!

JUST what the US government desperately (doesn't) need more of right now; yet another Middle Eastern despotic autocracy, in the possession of nuclear weapons!! To potentially use against whom, I wonder?!?

Are the Saudis going to sign the NNPT before they begin this development?!? I sure as hell wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Will they allow IAEA specialists to monitor their work in this direction?!? Again, I would not hold my breath on it.

And even though toward the end of this March, President Trump authorized a secret nuclear power project for Saudi Arabia, US Approves Secret Nuclear Power Deal for Saudi Arabia apparently, it was too little, too late, because an already nuclear-armed Pakistan was in serious dialogue with the Saudis about assisting the Saudis with their nascent nuclear program.

We have a story, datelined March of this year, which sheds some light on this possibility:

How Cash-Strapped Pakistan could get Sucked into Saudi/Iran Rivalry

This article goes on to state:

'Saudi Arabia announced $20 billion in infrastructure and energy investments for the cash-strapped country of 200 million, which is currently on the brink of financial crisis.

Many of the projects are located in Pakistan’s impoverished and restive Balochistan region, which lies along the 565-mile border with Saudi arch-rival Iran.'

Pakistan certainly had the means, the motive, and opportunity here to create a nuclear armed nation in Saudi Arabia.

I sense that President Trump absolutely did not see this coming, and has been totally blindsided by Saudi Arabia's desire for both nuclear energy, and a nuclear bomb; I mean, the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Prince Salman, is one of Trump's BBFs in the Middle East, (along with the Israeli Butcher of Gaza, Prime Minister Netanyahu), right?!?

Mr. President, I am sorry, but with the US government's giving so much military and monetary aid to Israel when it is illegal, under both the Symington Amendment and The Mann act (requiring that every nuclear nation become a signatory to the NNPT, and have their nuclear sites inspected, as has Iran), demonstrates to the world, incontrovertibly, that US foreign policy in the Middle East, has made an absolute, necrotic hash of their nuclear proliferation doctrine.

This... is a flustercluck, writ large, Mr. President.

I think that the American people have the right to know, just how you intend on "fixing" this, sir; because it appears to me that the nuclear "Genie" has well and truly left the bottle, and cannot be convinced to return.

America Loses Asia-Pacific As Full Spectrum Dominance Continues To Fail

Always working a little harder than most to stay a step below reality, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper made especially candid remarks this week that America’s INF pullout was timed for a targeting of forces against China.

Speaking to Fox on August 21st, Esper said:

“We want to make sure that we, as we need to, have the capability to deter Chinese bad behavior… China is the number one priority for this department. It’s outlined in the national defense strategy, why we think it’s a long term strategic competitor and one that is pursuing a maximization campaign, if you will, throughout the indo-Pacific theater, whether its politically, economically or militarily…”

Echoing a little Dr. Strangelove, Esper stated that there is “a coming shift” from “low intensity conflict that lasts 18 years to high intensity conflicts against competitors such as Russia and China.”

Strangelove Redux: US Experts Propose Having Artificial Intelligence (AI) Control Nuclear Weapons

Hypersonic missiles, stealthy cruise missiles, and weaponized artificial intelligence have so reduced the amount of time that decision makers in the United States would theoretically have to respond to a nuclear attack that, two military experts say, it’s time for a new US nuclear command, control, and communications system. Their solution? Give artificial intelligence control over the launch button.

US preparing to take on Russia, China by quitting INF: Analyst

The US government’s withdrawal from the INF Treaty arms control mechanism and its push towards upgrading its nuclear weapons shows it is planning to take on Russia and China militarily, an American scholar has warned.

Dennis Etler, a former professor of Anthropology at Cabrillo College in California, made the remarks after the US Navy test-fired four Trident II submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs).

The test launches were carried out by the Ohio class ballistic missile submarine USS Nebraska this week from an unspecified location off the coast of Southern California.

The USS Nebraska received the first series of improved Trident missiles in 2013. Dubbed D5 Life Extension, the missiles have improved range and electronics and would remain in service until 2040s, the report said.

Saudi Arabia 'will cut oil production in an attempt to send prices up across the globe' as US-China trade war stokes fear of worldwide recession

Saudi Arabia's new energy minister has said he favours cutting oil production in order to shore up prices amid a global over-supply, according to reports.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, who was appointed by father King Salman Sunday, is said to have made the remark at the World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi Monday.

Oil prices have been falling as America ramps up supply using fracking techniques, while fears of a global recession amid its trade war with China has caused a slump in demand.

Because both of these factors are outside of OPEC's direct control, analysts have voiced doubts over how effective cutting production would be in bottoming-out the market.

However, Prince Abdulaziz appeared to swing his support behind further output reductions at the summit.

'Cutting output will benefit all members of OPEC,' he reportedly said.

Netanyahu Fighting for His Political Life

New elections were called after Netanyahu failed to cobble together enough support for reelection as prime minister. He remains interim PM.

On September 17, Israelis go to the polls again to elect a prime minister and Knesset members.

Ten parties are competing for seats. Polls show Netanyahu-led Likud and Benny Gantz/Yair Lapid’s Blue and White party are each projected to win 31 of 120 Knesset seats, according to polls.

Throughout Jewish state history, Israeli coalitions governed, no single party ever winning a majority on its own.

Today extremist right-wing parties dominate Israel’s political landscape, reflecting hardline rule, democracy pure fantasy as in the West.

Netanyahu is desperate to retain power ahead of an October pre-indictment hearing on bribery, fraud, and breach of trust charges, strong evidence against him.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder; Netanyahu has exactly 8 days in which to create some kind of war which might, under some circumstances, possibly postpone the elections until he feels he has a "safe majority" of coalitions which will protect him, or create an all-out war against Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon, hoping he looks "butch enough" to win the next elections.

However, the Israeli price in blood and money spent for such operations, looks terribly steep, from where I sit; I would respectfully and sincerely caution Prime Minister Netanyahu not take this road. Your people are emotionally exhausted by the steady diet of fear and anger, when there are so many other options which could be pursued, in the name of peace, and prosperity, for both Israel, and all other neighboring countries in the region.

The death toll in Yemen has reached over 91,600 according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED). Erdogan ramps up war talk as Turkey pushes for nuclear weapons after Putin missile row

TAYYIP ERDOGAN claimed he "will not accept" the status quo and believes Turkey should have nuclear weapons after accusing Donald Trump, NATO and Israel of hypocrisy over their outcry at missiles recently delivered to Turkey from Russia.

The Turkish President said it was unacceptable that nations boasting missiles of their own are attempting to restrict Turkey's military operations. Erdogan said: "Some nations have missiles with nuclear warheads — not just one or two. But (they say) I should not have missiles with nuclear warheads. I don't accept this. "There is is almost no developed country in the world that does not have nuclear warheads."

Turkey's pro-government newspaper, Sabah, added fuel to the fire by declaring: "We are carrying out work for nuclear missiles."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also involved in Erdogan's outburst, claiming that the Middle Eastern state tries to intimidate with its own weapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, I really don't like this guy, because he refuses to be President of ALL of Turkey's people (like its Christians and its Kurds), and consistently fails to come up with peaceful political ways with which to integrate these communities.

But when Edrogan speaks about Israel's nuclear weapons, being used to "scare" its regional neighbors, he is absolutely speaking the truth.

Hundreds Of Russian Troops Deploy To Idlib In Case Ceasefire Collapses: Report

Via AlmasdarNews.com

Hundreds of Russian troops are being sent to the Idlib Governorate in northern Syria, the Russian publication Lenta.Ru reported this weekend.

According to the publication, hundreds of Russian troops belonging to the Yevgeny Prigoshin private military contractors were deployed to the Idlib Governorate, despite a pause in offensive operations.

“The plan is for groups of 50 people each, with the support of Russian aviation, to take part in street battles necessary to clear the populated city from thousands of militants associated with Al-Qaeda (banned in Russia),” Lenta.Ru reported.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The one thing which concerns me here,is that private mercs are not, generally, held to the same moral standards as are soldiers, meaning there are things these people are willing - and able - to do, which no Russian military would very think of doing.

IF the jihadis here think that a final bloody battle will find them the winners of such a conflict in Idlib, they had really, honestly, had better think again.
