The more stringent will note that unlike the Hamas government, our government does not pay the salaries of rabbis who advocate the killing of babies.

A wealthy rabbi financed a drug dealing operation in which girls were given cocaine in exchange for sexual services, a court heard yesterday.

Baruch Chalomish, 54, turned a city centre flat into a base for a ' commercial cocaine supply operation' after abusing the drug himself, it was claimed.

The Australian prime minister, Kevin Rudd, has said he would consider an inquiry into the Church of Scientology after a senator tabled allegations against the organisation including forced abortions, assault, torture, imprisonment, covering up sexual abuse, embezzlement of church funds and blackmail.

Senator Nick Xenophon tabled letters from former officials and staff of the Church of Scientology alleging criminal activity, and demanded a review of the organisation's tax exempt status.

"Scientology is not a religious organisation, it is a criminal organisation that hides behind its so-called religious beliefs," he told the senate.

Jefferson specifically wrote in his letters that the First Amendment regarding religion was designed, in Jefferson's words, "to build a wall between the government and the church". The Founders wanted to make sure the church would never have any official influence or hand in the affairs of state.

All indications are now that it was the US Conference of Catholic Bishops who were instrumental in the anti-abortion amendment that was attached to the health care reform bill in the House. And that wall established by the Constitution was taken down by Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama when they caved in to political pressure by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops who are credited with creating the anti- abortion language in the health care bill.

Tony Alamo, an evangelist, was sentenced Friday to 175 years in prison for taking under-age girls across state lines for sex.

Mr. Alamo, 75, was convicted in July on a 10-count federal indictment. Judge Harry F. Barnes of Federal District Court said Mr. Alamo had abused his status as father figure and pastor and threatened the girls with “the loss of their salvation.”

Nowadays,Brussels is celebrating the signing and ratification of the Lisbon Treaty,which has been long awaited. This treaty simplifies and consolidates the older treaties and also reforms a number of administrative issues related to voting and other aspects. However, most importantly this Treaty introduces a key post which is that of the President of the European Council.

President Sarkozy and Chancellor Merkel met in Paris to discuss this issue and agreed to support Mr. Blair to run for the EU presidency. Although Sarkozy and Merkel withdrew diplomatically from their previous full support to the British candidate, Blair remains one of the strong candidates for the post given the intensive support he is getting from the U.K.

No Rapture In the Bible

The doctrine known as "the rapture of the church" did not originate from within the written Word of Yahweh God Almighty. In fact, the word "rapture" is not to be found in any Bible verse at all. Those denominations which teach the rapture theory are usually critical of the Roman Catholic religion for constructing doctrines based upon words not found in the Bible -- words such as "purgatory" and "rosary beads". However, the exact same thing is done by the promoters of the "rapture" as this teaching is simply one not based on Scriptural truth. Ironically the rapture theory was originally a Roman Catholic doctrine first invented in Chile during the mid 1700's by a Jesuit priest named Lacunza.

They say the church, led by David Miscavige, wanted to contain the threat that those who left might reveal secrets of life inside Scientology.

Marty Rathbun, a former church official and confidant of Miscavige, said the leader especially targeted those he had edged aside during his rise to the top or anyone he feared might threaten his position or the church if left alone on the outside.

The addition of clothing to the witch is a modern embellishment to protect 'Family Values'."

U.S. Jews sympathetic to Israel donate lavishly to their campaign coffers. .

The answer to achieving an even-handed Middle East policy might lie elsewhere—among those who support Israel but don't really know why. This group is the vast majority of Americans. They are well-meaning, fair-minded Christians who feel bonded to Israel - and Zionism - often from atavistic feelings, in some cases dating from childhood.
