January 12, 2008US President George W. Bush promised Israel's opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu that the United States will join the Jewish state in a nuclear strike against Iran, Israel Radio reported today.
Well, I have a few thoughts on the obvious vote fraud which has taken place in New Hampshire. This is directed at everyone, but especially those of you who have been struggling for truth for years now.
To those of you who finally started to see what all of us "kooks" have been screaming about for years since you've discovered Ron Paul in the last year or so, who have seen the truth in what Ron Paul says about government corruption, and have then witnessed the blacklisting of this one honest politician amongst a heap of drooling sycophants who call themselves the "media:" welcome to our world... We have been trying to wake folks like you up and it's been very difficult. Not so much to get through to folks logically, but to get people to care about something.
Nothing has been announced, but Variety is reporting that the last two major studios backing HD DVD — NBC Universal and Paramount — are opening the door for a switch to Blu-ray. These studios have commitments to release some discs this year in HD DVD, but both have ended their exclusive commitment to that format, which is backed by a group led by Toshiba.

"We tried hard to present him the situation as we see it," Amos Gilad, reserve general and political adviser to Defence Minister Ehud Barak, told Israel's public radio.
"From a professional point of view the situation is clear: there is an Iranian nuclear threat," Gilad said. Translation: Israel wants the US to strike Iran militarily before Bush leaves office, putting our sons and daughters in harm's way (again) to neutralize what it believes is an existential threat to its existence.
Perhaps this is about time to let Israel go after all those countries it believes threaten its existence... on their own. - M. R.

US admits Mideast peace deal hangs on fate of Gaza
The US official, who declined to be named, said the fate of Bush's targeted peace deal by the end of this year depended on Abbas taking back control of the Gaza Strip.
"I don't think in the long term that an agreement is going to work if Hamas continues to control Gaza," he said. The question here is,will it be Fatah or Israel that winds up taking over Gaza? - M. R.

I don’t pretend to know whether the U.S. Navy’s version or the Iranian version of last Sunday’s incident in the Straits of Hormuz is more accurate or whether the two versions may not even be mutually exclusive, but I think there are two interesting points worth making — the first, regarding the reaction (or, more precisely the lack of one) by the familiar clutch of hawks to what was depicted as an major provocation by Iran; and the second, the possibility that the Navy and the Pentagon chose to dramatize the incident not so much to isolate and embarrass Iran as to enhance the chances for a new “incidents- at-sea” agreement that they have been pushing on the White House without success for many months now.
Despite the official and media portrayal of the incident in the Strait of Hormuz early Monday morning as a serious threat to U.S. ships from Iranian speedboats that nearly resulted in a "battle at sea", new information over the past three days suggests that the incident did not involve such a threat and that no U.S. commander was on the verge of firing at the Iranian boats.
After the past week, it seems more and more likely that Blu-ray will be the movie disc format of the future. But with the exception of the Playstation 3, current Blu-ray disc players were built without future-compatibility capabilities, so come this October owners won't be able to take advantage of features like Internet connectivity or enhanced interactivity (whatever that means—details are sketchy). "One key Blu-ray developer told BetaNews that although he builds discs for studios including Fox and Lionsgate, he did not buy a Blu-ray player for personal use." Regarding current Blu-ray player owners, Blu-ray developers told BetaNews, "They knew what they were getting into."

Political pundits in the corporate media and citizen journalists in the Blogosphere alike are all asking the same question: What happened in New Hampshire?
It's pretty easy to see what happened in New Hampshire: We had an election in which 81% of our ballots were counted in secret by a private corporation, and this resulted in an outcome that is called into question. That's what happened. New Hampshire to Conduct Recount of Presidential Primary...

Fujita Yukihisa,DPJ,asked the question to the current prime minister Fukuda regarding the truth of 9.11. He was arguing whether Terrorism is crime or war. Some Japanese people were killed, so he believes this was a crime, so Japanese police should investigate the real suspect even though Japanese government assumed that the suspect was Al-Queda since Bush told Koizumi so and sent the self-defense force to Iraq. Can Japanese police arrest president Bush if he was one of the suspects?
One might think that given the experience with the USA PATRIOT Act and many other abuses of power, Congress would be leery about giving this president his biggest blank check yet to suspend the Constitution. But that would be naive.
The new law was put in place in response to the debacle of the federal response to Hurricane Katrina. There was no evidence that permitting a president far more power would avoid future debacles, but such a law provides a comfort blanket to politicians. The risk of tyranny is irrelevant compared with the reduction of risk of embarrassment to politicians. According to Washington, the correct response to Katrina is not to recognize the failure of relying on federal agencies a thousand miles away but rather to vastly increase the power of the president to dictate a solution, regardless of whether he knows what he is doing and regardless of whether local and state rights are trampled. A lasting settlement? While George Bush talks up the prospects for peace, in reality he backs Israel's assault on Palestinians' legitimate national aspirations
In Israeli hallways yesterday, Bush was celebrated as the unwavering supporter of Israel's expansionist policies that he truly is, as he pressed ahead with a public relations campaign that began at Annapolis - talking future statehood for the Palestinians in theory, but backing occupation policies in practice - standing by as Olmert spoke of increasing settlements in illegally annexed Arab East Jerusalem. For the massive construction of Israeli settlements on expropriated Palestinian land over the last few years - illegal under international law and condemned by almost every country in the world - is only made possible by uncritical American financial, military and diplomatic support for Israel.

Americans suffer high taxes and the loss of their loved ones because they believe that the government remains under their control via the ballot box. Maybe they were suicide bombers, with a boat-load of high-explosives, intent upon ramming and sinking the USS Port Royal, as they very nearly did the USS Cole [DDG-67], in 2000, while in port in Yemen.
But wait a minute. If they're suicide bombers, why are they wearing life jackets? It is impossible for the Palestinians, whose land is occupied and whose lives are totally controlled by the most powerful military state in the Middle East, to make any concessions. To make a concession, you have to have something. They have nothing. They have no power. They don't control their land, their borders, their access to the sea or the air, the water or even their movements within the territories. Thanks to the American vetoes, they don't even have any recourse in the U.N.
The only party, then, that can make concessions is Israel, and Israel is not making any concessions, since it far prefers land to peace with an enemy that is virtually powerless. In future dictionaries, when the words "catastrophic failure" are stated, there will be a note stating "see: Bush Administration".

Polls taken as late as the day before the Tuesday vote showed Obama up by 10 to 15 points over Clinton, whom he had just beaten the week before in Iowa, but when the votes were counted, Clinton ended up beating Obama in New Hampshire 39.4 per cent to 36.8 per cent. Folks, here is the "sitch".
The US econ-tanic is down by the bow and taking on water fast. Desperate measures are being taken to keep the ships of state afloat but the ultimate outcome is inevitable (and has been known to be so for some time). Bush knows that the economy is about to unravel, and he also knows that the people will blame the government for the melt-down and rightly so, seeing all the money that the government borrows without ever really thinking about how it will be repaid. The Social Security Trust Fund has been looted (along with many others such as the Native American Trust Fund and various Federal Employee Pensions). The Federal Reserve is just printing up new money as fast as it can to keep the liquidity up, but the problem has never been liquidity but solvency. So, the big kaboinga is right around the corner and this is a major reason WHY Bush is pushing so hard to start a new war, because throughout the history of the United States, the government has ALWAYS distracted from domestic economic blunders by distracting the people with a major war. Most of us recall the connection between the Great Depression and WW2, but few recall that the US was in economic trouble just prior to WW1. In both cases, the fever of war masked the symptoms of hard economic times, and tricked people into lowering their living standards thinking it was for the war when in reality it was to salvage the economy. Capitalism only works when the vast majority of people are intentionally kept poor, and war is a great way to impoverish the people without getting them pissed off. So, this is why that lame stunt with the speed boats and US warships was pulled. It was supposed to be another "Gulf of Tonkin" hoax to kick off a new war. and as the economy deteriorates, expect Bush to do something, ANYTHING, to get the war back on track. Because without a war to mask the economic hardships, the people will turn on the government. - M. R. While the mainstream press is widely reporting a new study "disproving" any link between autism and mercury-containing thimerosal in vaccines, no one has bothered to point out that the study was published in a medical journal stacked full of ads from the very same drug companies that manufacture and market vaccines.
Outcomes of many so-called "scientific" studies are driven by what the funding insititutions want to see happen.
This isn't science: it's deception, pure and simple. - M. R. State Representative Russell Pearce of Mesa Arizona has warned us:
“There is a massive effort under way to register illegal aliens in this country.”
The only way a recount makes any sense at all in New Hampshire is AFTER an assessment is made of the chain of custody issues. If the chain of custody isn't intact the recount won't be worth a cup of warm spit.
When vote fraud was exposed in Ohio in 2004, a recount was ordered. Far from being a random sampling it turned out that ballots were hand picked in order to produce a sample recount that matched the official results. The people who rigged the recount were convicted in court of rigging the recount, so we KNOW that rigging does not stop on election day. The people who rigged New Hampshire election IN BOTH PARTIES will be working just as hard to rig the recount UNLESS New Hampshire voters force the recount to be honest and accurate (see story below about McCain's attempt to steal the Arizona straw poll).
As far as I am concerned, the 2008 election has already lost all credibility. - M. R. Mystery remains over where voice came from.

The GOP's 30-year-old fusion has unraveled, and that's what principally was on display last night in South Carolina. It no longer has a threefold base -- social, economic and national-security radicals -- but three bases. And there's a huge difference.
Free speech zones. Taser guns. Hidden cameras. Data mining. A new security curriculum. Private security contractors? Welcome to the new homeland security campus.
From Harvard to UCLA, the ivory tower is fast becoming the latest watchtower in Fortress America. The terror warriors, having turned their attention to "violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism" – as it was recently dubbed in a House of Representatives bill of the same name – have set out to reconquer that traditional hotbed of radicalization, the university. ou might ask what I see as humorous about this situation…. just think about it, a man who has backed EVERY evil move made by Israel since he took over the reins as President suggesting to another man whose hands are still dripping with the blood of the Palestinian people, cheered on by his hand picked ‘representative’ of those very people…. calling for an end to the occupation…

HOW A MEMORIAL CANDLE LIT THE WAY
Rather than panic, I ran downstairs to the Bodega and asked if they had ‘Yahrtzeit’ candles…. Yahrtzeit candle was the Yiddish term used for memorial candles that came in a glass and burned for 24 hours. The shopkeeper was shocked that I (a Puerto Rican) knew the Yiddish name for those candles and asked how I knew that word. I told him in perfect Yiddish that it was the language spoken in my home by my parents. His response being ” So you are not a Puerto Rican?” I asked if that would make a difference as far as him watching every move I made while shopping in his store. “Of course it will”, he responded….
The head of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees warned on Thursday that the isolation of Gaza was causing untold misery and fostering extremism.
This is precisely the reaction Israel wants to acheive in its growing collective punishment of Gazan Palestinians.
If things become intensely violent here, Israel will have its "excuse" to go in and kill every Gazan left breathing, reclaiming this territory for "Eretz Israel". - M. R.
Official Version of Naval Incident Starts to Unravel
Official Version of Naval Incident Starts to Unravel
Despite the official and media portrayal of the incident in the Strait of Hormuz early Monday morning as a serious threat to US ships from Iranian speedboats that nearly resulted in a "battle at sea," new information over the past three days suggests that the incident did not involve such a threat and that no US commander was on the verge of firing at the Iranian boats.
Paulson Sees `No Evidence' Housing Decline Is Ending...
It will be at least 2009-2010 before it will be time to invest in a home again.

Merrill Lynch is expected to suffer $15 billion in losses stemming from soured mortgage investments, almost double its original estimate, prompting the firm to raise additional capital from an outside investor.
The change of policy came as it became obvious that Gaza water, sanitation and health care systems were badly affected by the cuts. The medical services in Gaza's main hospital were particularly disrupted. Shifa Hospital director Hassan Khalef said: "We were forced to shut down vital systems in the hospital, and we could not clean the hospital, wash linens or operate the sterilization system."
The unblinking eyes of the world, and those of the people belonging to Israeli human rights organizations, will remain fixed the deterioration of the conditions in Gaza for the foreseeable future, and there will be no escape for the Israeli government on this in the court of world opinion, no matter how much they try to spin their actions as "self defense". - M. Suddenly, a group of McCain supporters took the box to count the votes without anyone noticing but us! My Husband John followed them. They went to a corner to count the votes and John jumped in to help count. They informed him that they did not need his help. He pushed his way into the group and let them know that he too would be assisting with the counting. They chose reluctantly not to argue! My husband is a cowboy and was not taking no for an answer. The pile of votes for Ron Paul was so high, that the pile kept falling over onto the John McCain pile. Of course no one was going to recount them but John. He had to keep grabing the McCain pile to separate all the Ron Paul votes from it! It was obvious that they did not intend for him to be there helping! Thank goodness he was there.
To my mind, this disqualifies McCain as a candidate. If he cannot keep his own people in line, he sure as hell can't run an entire country!

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert surprised participants at Thursday's working meal of Israeli ministers with US President George W. Bush when he said that it was not the appropriate occasion to discuss the
fate of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard.

The missile, with a range of about 7,000 miles (11,000 kms), is said to be immune to any current and future U.S. ABM defense. It is capable of making evasive maneuvers to avoid a kill by the use of terminal phase interceptors, and carries targeting countermeasures and decoys.
So let me get this straight: the US "missile defense shield", upon with the US government has lavished megabucks, is now totally impotent against this new generation of Russian weapons? - M. R.
New Hampshire voters have chosen warmongers for their party's presidential candidates...
Or ... the war mongers simply stole the election. After all, they are war mongers. They like killing other people. What's stealing a few votes "for the greater good?" Remember, "All's fair in war and ... that other thing." - M. R.
The president's reflex to justify his right to use torture, even as he insists "we don't torture," illuminates how his psychology works and provides a glimpse into its dark potential.
History has shown that the teller of white lies will lose to the teller of black lies, who loses to the thief, who loses to the blackmailer, who loses to the murderer, who loses to the drug lord, who loses to the genocidal tyrant.
The important question in these dark times is therefore not what our government is capable of, but what is our government NOT capable of? - M. R. US's triple-A credit rating 'under threat'...
You have to love that first sentence, breathlessly warning us that "The US is at risk of losing its top-notch triple-A credit rating within a decade unless it takes radical action to curb soaring healthcare and social security spending".
So, what are we supposed to do, collectively throw this country's elderly, medically fragile, and poor under a bus? Hey, I've got a great idea: why don't we radically curb the billions we're spending on these "wars without end": that would have to make some kind of a dent! - M. R. U.S. President George W. Bush said on Friday the United States would have a long-term presence in Iraq that could "easily" last a decade, but that it would be at the invitation of the Iraqi government.

"The U.S. has a long history of sailing into Iranian waters and otherwise provoking Iran," according Journalist Reese Erlich, the author the book The Iran Agenda: The Real Story of U.S. Policy and the Middle East Crisis. He also recalls the incident where the USS Vincennes shot down an unarmed Iranian passenger plane and the US tried to cover up the incident. He further states, “In that context, the US version of events must be carefully examined."
Several commentators in the region have voiced strong misgivings about his intentions, amid fears Washington could resort to military action to halt Iran's disputed nuclear drive.
Although Kuwait is welcoming Bush as a friend, officials have said the emirate will not allow the United States to use its territory as a launchpad for any strike against Iran. "Mr President, the region needs smart initiatives not smart bombs," the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai said in a front-page editorial. The Kuwatis are no fools.
They too have read the article posted yesterday in "presscue.com" which stated unequivocally that "US President George W. Bush promised Israel's opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu that the United States will join the Jewish state in a nuclear strike against Iran, Israel Radio reported today." They will sip tea with Bush, smile, and offer....absolutely nothing in the way of support. - M. R. Demand Corporate Media Cover Vote Fraud Story...
If there were ever a time to chase corporate media people down the streets with tar, feathers, and ropes, now is the time to do it. The talking heads openly admit that the exit polls in New Hampshire don;t match the official results, but even though it was the mismatched exit polls in Ohio in 2004 that exposed massive vote fraud there (and fraud in the recount as well), the talking heads are too timid to make the obvious connection here. They are more afraid of their corporate and political masters than of their audience and that is a state of affairs guaranteed to bury the truth of what is going on.
- M. R.
Kucinich Asks for New Hampshire Recount in the Interest of Election Integrity...
If he puts it THAT way then I would be worried that the people who rigged the election will also rig the recount (as they did in Ohio).
New Hampshire voters need to be standing right there when they recount BY HAND the optical scan ballots from every precinct where electronic machines were used. None of this "pick and choose" sample crap. We already caught them doing that in Ohio and the crooks wound up with probation instead of the jail they deserved. And despite Ohio's vote being found to be fraudulent, nobody dared take the next obvious step and point out that Bush could not have won the election if he did not in fact win Ohio. It amazes me to see the abject cowardice on display by the mainstream media as they scratch their heads and wonder why the exit polls were so far out of skew in New Hampshire, when it was out-of-skew exit polling in Ohio that exposed vote fraud there. - M. Sir Edmund Hillary dies...
Today, where the top of Mt. Everest has become a regular tourist attraction (albeit still a hazardous one) it is hard to comprehend that when Sir Edmund Hillary reached the top of Mount Everest, it had the global impact of the first man landing on the Moon.
In the last Century, the map of the world still had bounds to it, lines to the north, south, altitude, and depth, past which humans had never gone. Everest represented the highest point on Earth man could walk to; once conquered there was no place left to go. The line of altitude had been forever erased. The great explorers are few in number, and today they number one less. - M. R. Just last week, one of our organizers was at a town hall meeting for John McCain in Derry, New Hampshire. When an audience member asked him what he thought about President Bush's plan to keep troops in Iraq for 50 years, McCain answered, "make it a hundred."
Since our last update, we have received numerous tracking measurements of asteroid 2007 WD5 from four different observatories. These new data have led to a significant reduction in the position uncertainties during the asteroid's close approach to Mars on Jan. 30, 2008. As a result, the impact probability has dropped dramatically, to approximately 0.01% or 1 in 10,000 odds, effectively ruling out the possible collision with Mars.
