Tactically it would absolutely retarded for Gaza to pull a school shooting in revenge for Israel's attacks it serve to do nothing but lose the moral high ground and provoke a greater backlash from Israel. If Gaza could get into Israel with guns then they would go after the soldiers, a check point, a political leader or building, something other than a school. This attack just doesn't make any sense. I say false flag is possible.

There were no attacks in Jerusalem the entire year of 2007 and suddenly there is this big attack. Why? Because Israel killed 127 people in Gaza many of them children some of them babies, in the prior week. You can't bomb civilian homes safely from the air and shoot up houses and killed hundreds of people and brag about it being a Gaza Holocaust and expect nothing to happen in return. However that being said the counter attack still doesn't make any sense. The timing and the pre-packaged media blitz each saying the same catch phrases to the letter, is quite shocking. It looks, reads, and feels like a set up.

Godard and fellow owner-operators have been slammed by diesel fuel prices that reached record highs in many parts of the country on Friday. In San Antonio, diesel fuel soared to a new high of $3.64 a gallon, up 44 percent in a year's time, according to AAA.
The only way these truckers can cope is by passing the price on to their customers - which means passing the price on to you.

A foot of snow buried parts of the Ohio Valley early Saturday, virtually shutting down some road and air travel.

As much as 10 inches of snow fell overnight in Ohio, and 13 inches fell on central Kentucky's Owen County, the National Weather Service said. Louisville, Ky., had 11 inches to shovel and plow.

Wall Street banks are facing a "systemic margin call" that may deplete banks of $325 billion of capital due to deteriorating subprime U.S. mortgages, JPMorgan Chase & Co. said in a report late on Friday.

Many Americans were puzzled by the news, in 1902, that United States soldiers were torturing Filipinos with water. The United States, throughout its emergence as a world power, had spoken the language of liberation, rescue, and freedom.

Proponents of tax increases often reference the Clinton 1993 tax increase and the subsequent period of economic growth as evidence that deficit reduction through tax hikes is a pro-growth policy. What these proponents ignore, however, is that the tax increases occurred at a time when the economy was recovering from recession and strong growth was to be expected. They also ignore that the real acceleration in the economy began in 1997, when economic growth should have cooled. This acceleration in growth coincided with a powerful pro-growth tax cut.

The evidence is persuasive that the tax increase probably slowed the economy compared to the growth it would have achieved and that the subsequent tax cuts of 1997, not the tax increases, were the source of the acceleration in real growth in the latter half of the decade. As taxes are now above their historical average as a share of the economy, and are rising, Congress should look to enact additional tax relief to keep the economy strong.

Has anyone considered that the CIA and its stooges in Colombia KNEW perfectly well that negotiations on the release of the French and American hostages were close to success, and that this raid was INTENDED to destroy those negotiations?

If the hostages die in captivity, the propaganda benefits to the USA and France and to Uribe in Colombia will be immense. The Greek chorus of the media will be instructed to play up their lives and show pictures of bereaved wives and orphaned children of the hostages.

Hillary Clinton had no direct role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland and is a "wee bit silly" for exaggerating the part she played, according to Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former First Minister of the province.

Iraq, where women once had more rights and freedom than most others in the Arab world, has turned deadly for women who dream of education and a professional career.

Former dictator Saddam Hussein maintained a relatively secular society, where it was common for women to take up jobs as professors, doctors and government officials. In today's Iraq, women are being killed by militia groups for not conforming to strict Islamist ways.

Remember back when bringing western-style rights to the women of Iraq was being claimed as another justification for the invasion? - M. R.

The Roman Catholic church in the United States paid out 615 million dollars (400 million euros) last year for child sex abuse cases involving members of the clergy, or 54 percent more than the previous year, a report showed Friday.

The global credit crisis plunged to new depths yesterday as persistent fears over the collapse of a large financial institution caused funding markets to dry up and forced the US Federal Reserve to make available up to $200 billion (£99.3 billion) of emergency financing.

This morning on Fox & Friends, the conversation turned to the recent explosion at the Times Square recruiting center. Geraldo Rivera chimed it that he believed it was not the work of al Qaeda, but was done by anarchists such as " the 9/11 was an inside job" group.

You've got to admire the Lebanese. They're rarely fazed by anything. Throughout three decades, they've been embroiled in a lengthy civil war; they've been occupied by foreign armies and attacked by a puissant and sophisticated military power. Today, the country hosts a United Nations force and is devoid of a functioning government.

I think it's safe to say that Governor Brian Schweitzer of Montana doesn't like Real ID, a backdoor way for the government to impose and create a national ID card (with RFID chip which an unauthorized, knowledgeable techie can read) by requiring extensive documentation before you can get a drivers license. Here's an interesting site devoted to the anti-side of the issue. And here's what security expert Bruce Schneier thinks of the idea.

The number of wounded soldiers has become a hallmark of the nearly 5-year-old Iraq war, pointing to both the use of roadside bombs as the extremists' weapon of choice and advances in battlefield medicine to save lives.

"Two Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace and flew over Beirut briefly before leaving the area," a senior Lebanese security official said.

"The king has ordered the reconstruction of Palestinian houses at the expense of the Saudi government," Al-Jazirah Arabic daily quoted the minister as saying. Al-Manie did not say how many Palestinian homes would be rebuilt under the program.

The council of world leaders launched by former President Nelson Mandela is sending a three-person team to the troubled Middle East.

It has been clear for a long time that the single most effective thing America could do to improve both its relationships and its security in Middle Eastern affairs would be to end its coddling of the right wing Israeli government, pressuring it instead to come to a reasonable accommodation with Palestine.

While much of American 'even handedness' in the Middle East over the years has been a charade, the latest move clearly ends even the illusion of fairness. As the AP reported, "A senior Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Sharon thought that no American president had ever made concessions so important to Israel as Bush did on Wednesday."

It survived six Tory governments, the end of the Cold War and the rise and fall of mass marches against the British nuclear deterrent. But after 50 years in which the tradition of peaceful demonstration has been maintained outside the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston, the New Labour era has finally done for one of the most famous symbols of protest in British political history.

Granted, this has been an ugly Democratic Primary season. I've seen things come out of the Clinton campaign that I would have never expected, and surely I'm disappointed. I would have hoped that the Clinton's would have had more respect for the positive direction that the majority of the country is determined to take, rather than the pursuit of "winning" by any means. The fact that the Republicans have gleefully done all they can to ensure Hillary continues this behavior should be a clear indication of what side she is benefiting.

However, this is not why she won three of the four March 4th contests. Once again we are supposed to believe that it was the leaked memo, or the red phone ad, or buyer's remorse or some other such nonsense. In reality however, she won for the same reason George Bush has been president for eight years. She won because this country still uses Diebold and ES&S voting machines that have time and again altered the outcome of our elections. I don't think I can say it any clearer than that.

Folks, honest elections are as much a myth in this country as Saddam's 'nookular' bombs. I do not need to tell you that this reality leaves us just two choices for how we will live the rest of our lives. The first is slavery underneath that dictatorship George Bush likes to joke about. You can figure out the alternative path. - M. R.

The latest US unemployment figures - released on Friday - showed the number of people laid off last month at its highest for five years.

US employers cut 63,000 positions from their payrolls in February, Labor Department figures revealed.

Mr Bush said he hoped consumer spending would "spur job creation".

He HOPES?!?!?

I am sorry. but the President's job is to do more than hope!

And consumer spending won't create jobs because for the last 30 years American manufacturing has been allowed to decay under a management and political leadership that is convinced that money can be made to grow simply by moving it around in circles fast enough (aka the Enron method).

More than simply ignoring manufacturing, Bush's administration made it even easier for US corporations to offshore manufacturing jobs.

Bush is as delusional about the economy as he was about Saddam's nookular bombs

But he may be right about one thing. We may not be in a recession. With the Federal Reserve pounding out billions of dollars to prop up banks and mortgage lenders, what we are really dealing with is hyper-inflation.

To repeat from a previous discourse, there is no credit crisis, there is a repayment crisis. Liquidity is not the problem, solvency is.

And the government could solve this problem overnight by cutting taxes by 1/3 across the board. But of course, that they will not do. The government can be counted on to sympathize with our problems and do all it can to assist us, except get off of our backs. - M. R.

Five years ago, alarmed by a dramatic increase in violent antisemitic incidents, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe hosted the first international conference on antisemitism. The American delegation to the conference proposed that the OSCE develop tools to assist the organization's 55 member nations in training police to monitor and respond to hate crimes.
Hate crimes? You mean like the college professor who sprayed swastikas on her own car? Or the student who painted swastikas on her own door? Or the Synagogue in San Francisco that was burned down by the Rabbi's son? Or the teacher who tried to blame self-inflicted injuries on 'anti-Semitic' neo-nazis.

Maybe there is a good reason for the Americans to not investigate these hate-crimes too closely!

After all, there are plenty of rapes, robberies, and murders that the police need to deal with. - M. R.

"It's very hard to imagine how we can see the world growing enough crops to produce renewable energy and at the same time meet the enormous demand for food," he told a conference on sustainability in London yesterday.
Two other factors are at work here. The first is that the ethanol production is not carbon-neutral. When you factor in the emissions produced by the conversion processing, you find that corn-based ethanol actually results in more greenhouse gases that using the equivalent amount of gasoline. And ethanol contains less chemical energy than a gallon of gasoline, so you must burn more of it to travel the same distance.

The second factor is that recent weather has confirmed that the claim of catastrophic human-caused global warming was based more on propaganda than actual science.

So what we have here is an unworkable solution to a non-existent problem, which brought with it the added complication of derailing the food supply system on a planet already dealing with massive famine. - M. R.

Zand quotes from many existing studies, some of which were written in Israel but shunted out of the central discourse. He also describes at length the Jewish kingdom of Himyar in the southern Arabian Peninsula and the Jewish Berbers in North Africa. The community of Jews in Spain sprang from Arabs who became Jews and arrived with the forces that captured Spain from the Christians, and from European-born individuals who had also become Jews.

We find, then, that the members of a variety of peoples and races, blond and black, brown and yellow, became Jews in large numbers. According to Zand, the Zionist need to devise for them a shared ethnicity and historical continuity produced a long series of inventions and fictions, along with an invocation of racist theses. Some were concocted in the minds of those who conceived the Zionist movement, while others were offered as the findings of genetic studies conducted in Israel.

A federal judge said today she's inclined to dismiss a lawsuit by conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage against a Muslim rights group that reprinted Savage's attacks against Islam and called for an advertising boycott.

Boy THAT sure was a lucky coincidence for Israel, huh? Right in the 'knick of time,' as they say...I mean, what could have been more timely and fortuitous, and particularly with what just took place last week? All that bad press that this 'shitty little country' (as one diplomat once described the Jewish state) was getting after it invaded Gaza and murdered over 100 people, to say nothing of the fact that before murdering them they tortured them for several months by preventing the most basic necessities such as food, fuel and medicine from entering the most densely populated area on the planet.

How on earth do they do it? Every time they need something to 'pop up' in order to take the heat off them or in some way facilitate some demand on their part, it arrives with great fanfare as if it were gift-wrapped from heaven and hand-delivered by an army of angels marching in perfect syncopation.

The deadly attack on a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem Thursday was planned by an operation with purported ties to Hezbollah, the Shiite militant group in Lebanon, Palestinian militant sources in Gaza said.

The information that the group Free Men of Galilee planned the attack was provided to CNN amid news reports that Hamas, the Palestinian movement that runs Gaza, claimed responsibility.

In this exclusive extract from his new book, Philip Shenon uncovers how the White House tried to hide the truth of its ineptitude leading up to the September 11 terrorist attacks.
In propaganda terms, this is called a "limited hangout." The official story is wrecked, and rather than admit that 9-11 was an inside job staged to justify a war of conquest, paid shills put out the "fallback" position, which is that Bush and co were not complicit, just dumbernshit.

It's springtime in American politics. It's only early March, but there's a giddy, hopeful feeling to this election season, a sense that new leadership is blossoming. We could have a Democrat in the White House next year. But winter isn't over yet and we need to balance our hope with a little fear. In 2000 Bush and Cheney stole the election in Florida. In 2004 they played dirty tricks in Ohio. In 2008 could they go one step further -- and suspend the election altogether?

For NASA, however, the launch of the Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) also highlights a stark reality: In 2 1/2 years, just as the station gets fully assembled, the United States will no longer have any spacecraft of its own capable of carrying astronauts and cargo to the station, in which roughly $100 billion is being invested. The three space shuttles will be retired by then, because of their high cost and questionable safety, and NASA will have nothing ready to replace them until 2015 at the earliest.

Zionist dominated Western media drops any pretense of objectivity today. While the more than 120 Palestinians killed in Gaza in the past week were for them business as usual, an attack on an institution for the extremist settler movement is an 'escalation'. A few years back when a brutal siege of the Jenin refugee camp ended, and Israel allowed in foreign journalists after a week of 'clearing' the crime scene, Zionists immediately went on the attack against anyone describing the flattening of the whole refugee camp as a massacre. Yet today, the Independent sees nothing wrong in declaring the death of 7 Zionist militants a 'massacre'. You are unlikely to find any truth today on the media, who are always looking for an opportunity to balance their reluctant reporting of Israeli crimes with something that could present the oppressors as victims in the same league. (Although the Independent mentions that the 'seminary' was established by the notoriously racist Rabbi Kook, it gives no indication to readers why that in itself should raise some eyebrows).

Paul, who held on to his Texas congressional seat on Tuesday, became an Internet money machine, with his supporters raising far more money for him than several better-known candidates. He also won quite a bit of attention during debates as the only Republican candidate opposed to the Iraq war.

But Paul's campaign failed to translate that success and notoriety into votes, only reaching double digits in a couple of contests.

Not counting the vote fraud and the intentional marginalizing by the media. - M. R.

For the past 60 years Israel has conducted a reign of terror on the entire nation of Palestine... just in the past week the following pictures were taken in Gaza...of dead infants.... do you see Palestine taking advantage of that?

'Thou shalt not kill'....are obviously alien words to certain members of the 'tribe'.... they changed those words to 'Thou shalt not kill unless it's a Palestinian'..... killing any hopes of obtaining peace in the region as well.

I'm sad today. So many horrible things are happening in the middle east. I've been watching the developments in the Gaza strip for quite some time. The people there are suffering... dying... silently. What has been happening there is despicable, criminal behavior on the part of the Israeli government.

A law revised and submitted to Congress by Senator John McCain and others before him was determined to be the root cause of violations, which after ratification by President Clinton in 1999 during a globally publicized sit in by Songstress Julia Butterfly Hill at Big Mountain, Arizona. The enactment led to the removal of the Dineh band of Navajo from the Black Mesa to free the lands up to mining, and could lead to relocation of the Dineh-Navaho from Big Mountain, all based on a tissue of deceit, false claims of prior ownership by a small group of paid Arizona locals of Indian descent led by one Wayne Taylor, working for McCain and Peabody.

While millions of Haitians go hungry, containers full of food are stacking up in the nation's ports because of government red tape -- leaving tons of beans, rice and other staples to rot under a sweltering sun or be devoured by vermin.
We constantly hear about food shortages, yet here in the United States, we still waste half of the food produced. With a bit more care and awareness, we could feed almost twice as many people with no increase in actual harvests. - M. R.

Nearly a week after Colombia's cross-border raid against an encampment of the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) guerrilla movement in neighboring Ecuador, Latin America continues to confront its worst regional diplomatic and military crisis in decades. The US government and mass media have weighed in with unsolicited judgments and advice, attributing the tense standoff between Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela to the threat of terrorism to Colombia, the complicity in terrorism on the part of Venezuela and overheated animosities between the respective heads of state of these three countries.

We celebrated Yousuf's fourth birthday today. We ate cake. And we counted the bodies.

The spectre of food shortages is casting a shadow across the globe, causing riots in Africa, consumer protests in Europe and panic in food-importing countries. In a world of increasing affluence, the hoarding of rice and wheat has begun. The President of the Philippines made an unprecedented call last week to the Vietnamese Prime Minister, requesting that he promise to supply a quantity of rice.

If the CIA/Mossad hired terrorists used an extreme surplus of thermite or thermate for the welding of the steel columns of the building structure, it is well conceivable that this surplus burned for weeks. Is there any other material useful in controlled demolition, other than thermite (or thermate), that would continue burning for weeks despite all trials to extinguish the fire with water????? Thermite is not a simple "fire" depending on exogeneous oxygen. Any combustion would stop within hours, if there was no oxygen available. This is the reason, why a fire can be extinguished with sand. In contrary, if one covered a thermite reaction with tons and tons of sand, the reaction would not stop. And the reaction could not be extinguished by pouring water onto the reaction partners. It is well conceivable that the extra thermite, mixed and polluted with other material, "burned" slowly and more moderately for weeks.

Mordechai, considered one of the most knowledgeable Talmudic sages in Israel , said it was forbidden to risk the lives of Jews for fear of injuring and killing Palestinian civilians.

This is not the first time Elyahu issues such an outrageous Talmudic edict. A few years ago, he called on the Israeli occupation army not to refrain from killing Palestinian children if that meant "saving Jewish lives."

[W]ell-placed observers now say that it will come as no surprise if Fallon is relieved of his command before his time is up next spring, maybe as early as this summer, in favor of a commander the White House considers to be more pliable. It is always good to know as a citizen that your leaders think everything is under control, for this reason I can only begin to imagine the relief people in the United States must feel when President Bush publicly acknowledges; "I believe that our economy has got the fundamentals in place." I must admit however that I struggle to understand where the president is getting his data from and I dread to think what things will look like by the time he admits that "fundamentals" are not really "in place". According to Alan Greenspan "as of right now, U.S. economic growth is at zero", "home prices will continue to weaken" and a boom in oil prices is going to "go on forever". As he puts it, the US is "clearly on the edge."

A gunman infiltrated a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem and opened fire in a library Thursday night in an attack that left at least seven dead and more wounded, officials said.
Israel has its excuse to go back into Palestine. How wonderful for them that someone carries out an attack like this EXACTLY when Israel most needed it to deflect world opinion away from what Israel was doing in Palestine. - M. R.

The consequences for the restaurant business, the food industry and American consumers were immediate and enormous. MSG, a common flavor enhancer and preservative used since the 1950s, was tagged as a toxin, removed from commercial baby food and generally driven underground by a new movement toward natural, whole foods.
This is a puff piece to try and re-sell MSG to the American people. But the claim that it has no effect on people in "normal" doses is not accurate. In my own case, even the tiniest amount of MSG will trigger a violent headache. And it is not chefs who want to keep using it as much as food manufacturers, who understand that MSG suppresses the feeling of having eaten enough, leading to overconsumption of food products, greater profits, and a nation dealing with obesity problems. - M. Homeowners with tarnished credit who have subprime adjustable-rate loans took the hardest hits. Foreclosures and late payments for these borrowers swelled to all-time highs, too, in the fourth quarter.

A small bomb caused minor damage to a landmark military recruiting station in the heart of Times Square before dawn Thursday, and police were searching for a hooded bicyclist seen on a surveillance video pedaling away.
I wonder if this is a set-up to demonize the peace movement. - M. R.

Homeowners' portion of equity slipped to downwardly revised 49.6 percent in the second quarter of 2007, the central bank reported in its quarterly U.S. Flow of Funds Accounts, and declined further to 47.9 percent in the fourth quarter -- the third straight quarter it was under 50 percent.

That marks the first time homeowners' debt on their houses exceeds their equity since the Fed started tracking the data in 1945.

Hedge funds under pressure from a combination of tightening credit lines, illiquid investments and investor redemptions are increasingly moving to stem investor outflows, industry experts told Reuters on Thursday.

Journalist James Risen has been prosecuted because he has revealed the details of a CIA-Mossad joint plot against Iran's nuclear program.

Israel has postponed a planned meeting with Costa Rican officials over the Central American nation's decision to formally recognize a Palestinian state.

In the spring of 1994, the Tucker family received lengthy prison sentences -- 10 years for Steve, 16 years for his older brother Gary, and 10 years for his brother's wife, Joanne -- without possibility of parole, for the curiously worded federal crime of "conspiracy to manufacture marijuana."

Yet federal prosecutors never charged them with buying, selling, growing, transporting, smoking or even possessing marijuana. An 18-month DEA investigation had failed to turn up direct evidence connecting the Tuckers to even a single joint.

Instead, they were locked away for selling the lamps, fertilizer and gardening hardware from the small hydroponic supply shop Gary operated on Buford Highway that enabled their customers to grow pot.

So ... do hardware store owners go to jail for selling screwdrivers ... which are used to make nuclear weapons? - M. R.

The company said it received margin calls from seven financing groups that totalled $37m and it was not able to meet four of those requests.

George W. Bush has created the path for American fascism, he's all but made the American Presidency and our Democratic system of governance a sham. He's not alone, however. In addition to the neo-conservative movement, we've seen the rise of cowardice in Congress. Democrats and moderate Conservatives have failed to stand up for justice and the Constitution. In the view of Americans who actually give a damn, the two-party system has failed and Democrats and Republicans may as well be working together as they've allowed Bush to get away with murder, so-to-speak.

The Bush administration is prolonging the hunting season against journalists. The latest victim is James Risen, The New York Times reporter for national security and intelligence affairs. About three months ago, a federal grand jury issued a subpoena against him, ordering Risen to give evidence in court. A heavy blackout has been imposed on the affair, with the only hint being that it has to do with sensitive matters of "national security."

City officials say the small explosion happened shortly before four in the morning local time, causing some damage to a small kiosk used by the U.S. military as a recruiting office, but no injuries. Guests at hotels as far as several blocks away said they could feel the building shake.

IOF troops murder infant girl, wound her mother in central Gaza...

From the screaming loons at the Palm Beach election center to the bloodbath in Gaza, from the shores of Montezuma to David Motari's puppy tossing, it's been a hard Se7en years. I can honestly say that I saw it coming. I saw Mr. Executioner demagoging out of Texas and I looked at the source of the money behind him and I said to myself, "Bush... head for the mountains." And metaphorically speaking, that is what happened.

South Africa's cabinet has approved a bill that would speed up its land reform programme aimed at transferring 30 percent of farmland to black ownership by 2014, a government spokesman said on Thursday.

The ad was a fear-based attack, building on a theme that has been central to Clinton's campaign. Clinton, the ad's message said, is the Democratic candidate better equipped to deal with the frightening world out there from day one. It may have scared up enough votes to keep Clinton's campaign alive by helping bring her a crucial win in Texas (notwithstanding the awarding of delegates there, still to come).
Then again, it may have been the vote fraud! - M. R.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean urged Florida and Michigan party officials to come up with plans to repeat their presidential nominating contests so that their delegates can be counted.

I can see only one possible justification for having a president of the United States: to preside over the dismantling of the federal government. If you think this is a radical idea, think again. This is, in part, what people have long voted for, even if they never actually get it. I can hardly remember a time when a president has been elected who didn't promise to get the government off our backs.

Karl Rove "has handed me a note," added Fox anchor Steve Doocy (the clip takes place at 2:51). "More US presidents have been born in the month of October than any other month. You were born in--?"

"October," Clinton replied. "Thank you, Karl. I mean the omens are just stacking up. What can I say?"

Afterwards there were mass burials or cremation of the victims...

The evidence is overwhelming, compelling, and alarming that George and his indecent bandits traitorously had intelligence fabricated to fit their goal of invading Iraq. The criminals foisted a Lie of Historic Proportions on the world. It was clear to many of us more aware people that George, Condi, Rummy, the two Dicks: Cheney and Perle, Wolfie, and most effectively and treacherously, Colin Powell, lied their brains out before the invasion. The world was even shown where the WMD'S were on the map. We were told that the “smoking gun” could come at any time in the form of a “mushroom cloud” or a cloud of toxic biological or chemical weapons. Does anyone remember duct tape and plastic sheeting?
All wars are started with lies. Hitler told the German people that Poland had attacked Germany in order to trick them into invading first. FDR provoked the Japanese into the attack on Pearl Harbor then acted like it was a total surprise to trick America into WW2. Israel claimed Egypt was about to attack them in 1956, and (using the Soviet invasion of Hungary as a distraction in the media) invaded the Sinai.

So, all wars of conquest begin with lies. History proves that. Indeed it is hard to find a single war where those that started the war did not resort to lies to get things going.

What makes this different is that in the age of the Internet, the lie has been forced into the light while the war itself is still ongoing. And THAT is what makes this lie historic. The lies and liars stand exposed while the war started with theirlies is still killing and crippling our young men and women in uniform. The consequences of the lies are still before us in those flag-draped coffins the liars have tried so hard to conceal from us.

The Constitution of the United States does not authorize the government to lie to the people and the Tenth Amendment prohibits the government from arrogating that right to itself. Therefore, the moment the Bush administration lied to the people and to the Congress, they acted unconstitutionally, and illegally. Bush's lies that sent our kids off to be killed and crippled in a war of conquest are not only illegal, they cast doubt on the very legitimacy of a government that failed to act to safeguard the people from those lies. - M. R.

Even the experts missed the housing bubble...
Present company excepted. - M. R.

The US economy is struggling on several fronts, with housing, manufacturing and retail activity losing steam, the Federal Reserve said in its Beige Book survey Wednesday.

The report, to be used at the upcoming central bank policy meeting March 18, said growth "has slowed since the beginning of the year."

I suppose we are supposed to thank the compilers of this report for their magnificent grasp of the obvious. - M. R.

Ballot boxes are being thrown around the warehouse. A data card fell out of a handicapped voting machine and went sliding across the concrete floor. Vans holding ballots from precincts are lined up outside in a line several blocks long. Ballot boxes are coming in without security stickers. Officials are predicting 12 more hours of counting in Cuyahoga County.

This video is graphic. Sometimes the truth is horrible. The video contains disturbing scenes of American troops sadistically taunting Iraqi children, randomly throwing grenades at sheep herders and the infamous puppy toss with David Motari. Juxtaposed against a hollow and hypocritical Presidential address this is mandatory watching for every American citizen. George Bush is a war criminal and unfortunately so are some of his troops. This is mandatory viewing.

On a more serious note. if you look closely at the trigger guard you will see that it moves as a unit, with a special extension the real trigger. The State Department said it could not confirm that US and Iranian officials would meet Thursday in Baghdad for a long-delayed new round of talks on security in Iraq.

In Tehran, the student ISNA news agency reported that an Iranian delegation headed by Reza Amiri Moghaddam had arrived in Baghdad Wednesday for the talks, which would be the fourth time the two foes have sat down to discuss Iraq.

U.S. military officials said there will be no significant reduction in coalition troops in the Baghdad area as part of an effort to stop the Al Qaida offensive in northern Iraq.
It appears that the US is trying to lump any Iraqi who wants their country back as "Al Qiada".

And General Petraeus, a small memo: the US military needs to do more than "feel" that more incidents will be happening to Baghdad.

A little factual information wouldn't hurt at all.

What causes people to become radical are disenfranchisement, the absolute inability for any economic progress, and complete corruption in government.

This is, unfortunately, the geopolitical "perfect storm" in which the US, through its attack on, and subsequent occupation of Iraq, has created.

Crude oil may rise to $120 a barrel within six months due to the dollar weakness and global political tensions, the chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. said.

``I think a trading range between $80 and $120 a barrel this year is about right,'' Peter Barker-Homek, the head of the United Arab Emirates state-controlled company, which is also known as Taqa, said in an interview in Dubai today.

Egypt allegedly allowed Hamas to smuggle weapons and fighters into the Gaza Strip for the battle against Israel, an intelligence report claims.

A group of suspected Hamas fighters were arrested after allegedly returning from training courses in Iran and Syria. About 15 of the suspects were allegedly allowed to cross into Gaza with a cache of weapons and ammunition in ambulances, the Jerusalem military intelligence Web site DEBKAfile said.

Every day, thousands of Americans look to invest their money in stocks, and many of them go through brokers and traders to simplify the process.

Unfortunately, according to Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne, a majority of those purchasers will be victims of Wall Street's criminal tactics and will help line the pockets of corrupt brokers and lawyers.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is supposed to stop these types of crimes. Instead, so many of its officers have been charged with committing those crimes themselves that their boss in Washington recently issued an alert about the ''disturbing events'' and the ``increase in the number of employee arrests.''

The grand bargain is unraveling, though. The recent missile attack by a US Predator drone on militants in the tribal area helped stir the militants' skepticism of any deal and different independent groups continued to attack the security forces.

Pakistan therefore finds itself back at square one, with the old divisions of pro-American and anti-American revived in the military and no doubt stoked by Musharraf during his meeting with Admiral Mullen. This is Musharraf's chance to regroup in the pro-American camp by presenting himself as being in the best position to serve US interests in the region.

How interesting that Ahmadinejad, unlike a U.S. president who has to be airlifted unannounced into ultra-secure bases, was able to convoy in from the airport in broad daylight on a road that U.S. dignitaries fear to travel. His love fest with Iraq President Jalal Talabani, a Kurd who fought on Iran's side against Iraq and who speaks Farsi, even took place outside of the safety of the Green Zone, adding emphasis to Ahmadinejad's claim that while he is welcome in Iraq, the Americans are not.

But for Bush, his signature issue, the battle against terrorism, is a shambles. The terrorists are very much on the rise in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which Bush neglected for an Iraq sideshow that has cost over a trillion dollars and tens of thousands of lives. But the long-run price will be far higher, with the blowback from the massive instability that he has engendered in the region.

A US warship deployed off the coast of Lebanon has passed through the Suez Canal and is heading for the Gulf, an official with the canal authority told AFP.

"The USS Cole has crossed the Suez Canal and is making its way to the Gulf," the official said.

''It is our responsibility to uphold the laws, not break the law,'' Winkowski wrote in the Nov. 16 memo obtained by The Miami Herald.

Winkowski's memo cites employee arrests involving domestic violence, DUI and drug possession. But court records show Customs officers and other Department of Homeland Security employees from South Florida to the Mexican border states have been charged with dozens of far more serious offenses.

Among them: A Customs and Border Protection officer at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was charged in February with conspiring to assist a New York drug ring under investigation by tapping into sensitive federal databases.

It's moderately common to find girls wearing anti-male, hate clothing. Slogans on T-Shirts include: “Stupid Factory:Where Boys are Made;” “BOYS ARE STUPID, THROW ROCKS AT THEM!” and (prefixed by the profile view of a handgun) “He had it comin'”

Others include “WHO NEEDS BOYS WHEN YOU HAVE CREDIT CARDS?” and “I LIKE BOYS WHO ARE SENSITIVE AND CRY, WHEN i HIT THEM;” and “MENtal Anxiety MENtal Breakdown MENstrual Cramps MENopause Did you ever notice how all our problems begin with MEN.”

Can you imagine if these comments were addressed at girls?

The objective is to objectify men, dehumanize them, and make them disposable so that nobody will complain when they get shipped off to die in wars.

“It's the view of the administration that as long as there’s trouble in Iraq that you have authorization of this Congress to continue there in perpetuity and define trouble as you desire?” asked Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-N.Y.

As some of us have long been pointing out, the real winner of the Iraq War was Iran, not the United States. The U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq succeeded in installing a radical, Islamic, Shiite regime in Iraq, one that aligned itself with Iran, a country that President Bush and Vice President Cheney are sanctioning and still might even bomb.

Now, if that’s not a perverse outcome of an invasion of a country that never attacked the United States and which has killed hundreds of thousands of people, I don’t know what is. It means that U.S. troops have killed and died for the sake of an Islamic regime — one that they continue to kill and die for as part of their indefinite occupation of Iraq.

This administration absolutely takes the booby prize for creating unintended consequences through its foreign policy, which tends to be consistently, and catastrophically, wrong. - M. R.

The attempt by western politicians and media to present this week's carnage in the Gaza Strip as a legitimate act of Israeli self-defence - or at best the latest phase of a wearisome conflict between two somehow equivalent sides - has reached Alice-in-Wonderland proportions.

"The voices, flamboiements, the voice of the horn and the mountain steaming" that the Israelites saw, according to the Bible (Book of Exodus), as they camped around Mount Sinai, the researcher noted, own hallucinatory experiences in the Amazon after absorbing ayahuasca, a beverage made from vines that drink the Latin American shamans. «Avec l'ayahuasca, j'ai éprouvé des visions religieuses et spirituelles» souligne le professeur qui a consommé plus d'une centaine de fois la décoction. "With the ayahuasca, I had visions of religious and spiritual," said Professor who consumed more than one hundred times the decoction. La transmission divine à Moïse des tables de la Loi serait donc, estime-t-il, le fruit d'une hallucination collective. The transmission God to Moses tables of the Act would be, he says, the result of a collective hallucination.
