New forensics evidence presented Tuesday during a symposium at Foxwoods suggests Sirhan Sirhan did not fire the fatal shots that killed Sen. Robert Kennedy in 1968.
To the public, these men are members of a familiar fraternity, presented tens of thousands of times on television and radio as "military analysts" whose long service has equipped them to give authoritative and unfettered judgments about the most pressing issues of the post-Sept. 11 world.
Hidden behind that appearance of objectivity, though, is a Pentagon information apparatus that has used those analysts in a campaign to generate favorable news coverage of the administration's wartime performance, an examination by The New York Times has found. The FBI has narrowed its focus to "about four" suspects in the 6 1/2-year investigation of the deadly anthrax attacks of 2001, and at least three of those suspects are linked to the Army's bioweapons research facility at Fort Detrick in Maryland, FOX News has learned.
Among the pool of suspects are three scientists -- a former deputy commander, a leading anthrax scientist and a microbiologist -- linked to the research facility, known as USAMRIID. The FBI has collected writing samples from the three scientists in an effort to match them to the writer of anthrax-laced letters that were mailed to two U.S. senators and at least two news outlets in the fall of 2001, a law enforcement source confirmed. Attention FBI: Did you include the man actually CAUGHT entering the storage area where the strain of anthrax used in the attacks was kept, without proper authorization
AFTER being fired from his job over a racially-motivated attack on an Egyptian co-worker?
I mean, it's been six years now, and WE all know about the guy, so I just sort of figured that the same FBI that made such a total wreck of Steven Hatfill's life over no evidence at all would sort of comprehend that going into the storage area where the Anthrax was kept without authorization would be something worth looking into. Otherwise I am probably going to commit some really nasty crime on the sure and certain faith that I will be dead of natural causes long before the FBI ever thinks about knowing on my door. - M. R. And if you're wondering who to hit, may I make a humble suggestion? The first and most important target is the media. If you leave them alone they will ensure you have no support from the populace. Ho Chi Minh was right - without the people's support you will never succeed. Blow up the towers, cut the cables, win the support of your community. Your government must fear you. And you must not fear them.
The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met with as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the Gulf Stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts, which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Oh, did I mention this came from a Washington Post article on changes in the arctic as found in the Monthly Weather Review for November 1922?

When users visit a website like Wired.com, the DNS system translates the domain name into an IP address such as http://72.246.49.48. But if a particular site does not exist, the DNS server tells the browser that there's no such listing and a simple error message should be displayed.
But using Barefruit's technology, Earthlink instead intercepts that Non-Existent Domain (NXDOMAIN) response and sends the IP address of Barefruit's ad server as the answer. When the browser visits that page, the user sees a list of suggestions for what site the user might have actually wanted, along with a search box and Yahoo ads. The rub comes when a user is asking for a nonexistent subdomain of a real website, such as http://webmale.google.com, where the subdomain webmale doesn't exist (unlike, say, mail in mail.google.com). In this case, the Earthlink/Barefruit ads appear in the browser and the title bar indicates that it's the official Google site. Aside from some interesting trademark questions, the issues is serious because Barefruit neglected basic web programming techniques which exposed its servers -- and therefore every website on the internet -- to a malicious JavaScript attack. Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Saturday threatened an "open war" against the Iraqi government unless it halted a crackdown by Iraqi and U.S. security forces on his followers.
The specter of a full-scale uprising by Sadr sharply raises the stakes in his confrontation with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who has threatened to ban the anti-American cleric's movement from political life unless he disbands his militia. Hillary Clinton's Many Lies...
THE crisis over rice showed no signs of easing yesterday as the price of the world's benchmark jumped 10 per cent in just one week, fanning fears that millions across Asia will struggle to afford their staple food.
Hammad's body was naked, bloated, and tortured. His neck was broken, and his face had been smashed in with rocks. One finger had been cut off and there were multiple holes in his torso, seemingly made by a sharp, round implement - something like a pen, his family explained. An Israeli police officer who arrived on the scene to investigate the incident confirmed that Hammad had been murdered, but made no comment as to by whom. Hammad's body was immediately taken to the coroner in Jerusalem, but the report on the exact cause of his death will not be available for another week.
Imagine, for just one moment, that this kid was your son, murdered for no other reason than his ethnicity and religion, coupled with having been absolutely at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I almost be willing to bet that no one will ever be charged with this brutal murder, and whoever did this will get off free and clear. - M. R. Global Warming Hoax...
As the cleric Moktada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army fighters squatted in the Sadr City district's main highways on Friday, planting homemade bombs less than a mile from Iraqi and American troops, his political bloc offered on Friday to negotiate with the Iraqi government to end fighting in the area.
Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki insists that the offensive is aimed at criminals and illegal militias, not at the Sadrists in particular. But Mr. Shanshal said Mr. Maliki was using the accusation of criminal activity in Sadr City as a pretext for "mass punishment" intended to discourage Mr. Sadr's supporters from participating in the provincial elections. Translation: in the heard of Baghdad, neither the US military nor the Iraqi government-sponsored military are truly in control.
And negotiations with - and inclusion of -the Sadr movement into the political process are critical components to achieving some lasting stability here. - M. R. The parents of a 10-year-old boy who was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of a police cruiser for being too noisy intend to file a complaint against Ottawa police today, alleging that at least one officer went too far in the way he treated their son.
When the instilling of fear of authorities trumps the gentle exercise of common sense with a small bunch of noisy kids, the society which allows (and to some degree, encourages) these kinds of things to happen is possibly broken beyond repair. - M. R.

The US military will televise the Guantanamo trial of accused Sept 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and five other suspects so relatives of those killed in the attacks can watch on the US mainland.
With all due respect to victims' families, who will always live with the deep tragedy and trauma of that horrendous day and its aftermath, can someone please tell me how this is going to make the procedures at Guantanamo any less of a complete farce and kangaroo-court than it will be, when these trials begin?
It cannot, and it will not, because these trials are completely outside the scope of true American justice, process, and procedure. Plus, reports are that the defendants' microphones are on cutoff switches so that the court can instantly silence anyone who says something the US Government does not approve of. So what is really going on here is that the US Government is shamelessly using the victims of 9-11 to shield their kangaroo court from criticism over its methods and practices. - M. R. MOVES to drive Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf into a corner and force him to quit were being finalised last night as part of a parliamentary package that could end with Pakistan's sacked chief justice being reinstated as early as next week.
That collective, consistent thud you hear from the US state department is created by officials banging their collective heads against the wall because it appears that their puppet, Musharraf, is at the end of his strings.
That they couldn't, ultimately, see this coming, telegraphed in red graffiti, particularly after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto last year, is a testament to a collective geopolitical myopia with which these policy-makers appear to be afflicted. - M. R. Retail gas prices set new records Friday on their seemingly relentless march toward $3.50 a gallon, and diesel prices pushed further above $4 a gallon.
Oil futures, meanwhile, surged to a new record over $117 a barrel after a militant group in Nigeria said it had sabotaged a major oil pipeline operated by a Royal Dutch Shell PLC joint venture and promised further attacks on the country's petroleum industry. Three weeks after U.S. troops were ordered into the sprawling Shiite Muslim slum of Sadr City to stop rockets from raining down on the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad's Green Zone, they're caught in crossfire between Shiite militiamen and the mostly Shiite Iraqi army.
No one in this administration can possibly talk about the "progress in security" in Iraq with a straight face, as the cost in human lives (ours and the Iraqis) begins again to spiral out of control. - M. R.

Interviewer: "What happened?" Soldier: "Just this Arab... The soldier stole a tobacco box from him. "Suddenly the Arab came and yelled, 'thieves, thieves, I saw you.' He got close to the soldier and we tried to keep him away... We didn't know about the stealing. "The soldier started to beat him, and everyone started pushing... It became a situation where the Arab was being beaten up badly. "Then the soldier took a metal wire. He was really screwed up. Grabbed the Arab and started to twist it around..." Interviewer: "On his hand?" Soldier: "Yeah, he really twisted it. I tell you, we tried to stop him. 'No, I won't let him go. He lifted a hand on me, he'll be punished.' Around and around... Afterwards we tried to get it off and we couldn't, it actually made a groove in his hand. It was blue. And the guy is yelling, 'I can't feel my hand anymore.' "I said he would have to have his hand cut off. We even tried to dig with a knife, to get it off, but we couldn't... We told him to go to the hospital. Nothing to do, we couldn't cut the wire off." Amnesty International has called on the Israeli government to immediately order a full and independent investigation into the killings of Palestinian civilians by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.
At least 18 Palestinians, including children and other unarmed civilians, were killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. More than 30 others were injured in attacks by Israeli planes and by ground forces using tanks in the Gaza Strip. Those killed included Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana, who was struck by fire from an Israeli tank. He had travelled to the scene in a car clearly marked "TV-Press". He was killed as he started to film the tank. The Department of Homeland Security, which President Bush established after the terror attacks, is going through the same process that all of the federal government does every four or eight years, but observers say the prevalence of terror attacks on or around election times has DHS especially on edge.
If the Orphan Works legislation passes, you and I and all creatives will lose virtually all the rights to not only our future work but to everything we've created over the past 34 years, unless we register it with the new, untested and privately run (by the friends and cronies of the U.S. government) registries. Even then, there is no guarantee that someone wishing to steal your personal creations won't successfully call your work an orphan work, and then legally use it for free.
Yet when his body was found, he had slashed both his wrists and plunged the knife into his thigh and stomach, an inquest was told.
I get uneasy when told someone has slashed BOTH wrists, because usually a slash deep enough to open the veins also severs the tendons, meaning that that hand can no longer grasp objects ... like the blade needed to do the other wrist. - M. R.

It's interesting to note that, at long last, the mainstream media is hinting that the words 'al Qaeda' has simplistically become a metaphor for those that are fighting the US in Iraq and elsewhere and that 'al Qaeda' is not, as they have pushed for years, a specific organisation that is led and organised by the equally metaphoric and very dead 'Osama bin Laden'.

The Zionist regime's recent assault on the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of 20 civilians, was part of the Zionist plot to relocate the people of Gaza to the Egyptian region of Rafah.
The Israeli plan, drawn up with the consent of the United States, is meant to establish an ethnically-cleansed Jewish entity in all the territories occupied in 1948 and parts of the territories occupied in 1967. Once labelled Canada's first homegrown, Islamist terror plot, the case of the so-called Toronto 18 is quietly melting away.
With yesterday's decision to stay charges against four more of those that it had once labelled dangerous terrorists, the federal government is now admitting that it never had a serious case against almost half of the men and youths charged two years ago. During periods of recession, when Americans are thrown out of work, homes are repossessed, school budgets cut and businesses fail, Congress continues to give Israel massive amounts of our tax money; currently, about 7 million dollars per day.
On top of this, Egypt and Jordan receive large sums of money (per capita about 1/20th of what Israel receives) to buy their cooperation with Israel; and Palestinians also receive our tax money (about 1/23rd of that to Israel), to repair infrastructure that Israeli forces have destroyed, to fund humanitarian projects required due to the destruction wrought by Israel's military, and to convince Palestinian officials to take actions beneficial to Israel. These sums should also be included in expenditures on behalf of Israel. In late 2006, Congress revised the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act to make it far easier for a president to declare martial law. Those changes were repealed at the end of this January as part of Public Law 110-181 (HR 4986), the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (signed into law by President Bush on January 28, 2008).
America's most senior general was "hoodwinked" by top Bush administration officials determined to push through aggressive interrogation techniques of terror suspects held at Guantánamo Bay, leading to the US military abandoning its age-old ban on the cruel and inhumane treatment of prisoners, the Guardian reveals today.
The story of Israel at 60 is the tale of a little town named Sderot whose children play indoors because of Palestinian rockets, of a world-class tech industry that pioneered Wi-Fi and instant messaging, of a nation filled with pride and fierce patriotism, yet living in fear of annihilation from abroad and of a demographic time bomb at home.
Israel did not pioneer WiFi. Al Gore did! :)
Seriously, WiFi was invented by NCR/AT&T in the Netherlands. - M. R. The European commission is backing away from its insistence on imposing a compulsory 10% quota of biofuels in all petrol and diesel by 2020, a central plank of its programme to lead the world in combating climate change.
Amid a worsening global food crisis exacerbated, say experts and critics, by the race to divert food or feed crops into biomass for the manufacture of vehicle fuel, and inundated by a flood of expert advice criticising the shift to renewable fuel, the commission appears to be getting cold feet about its biofuels target. Jean-Claude Juncker, the EU's 'Mr Euro', has given the clearest warning to date that the world authorities may take action to halt the collapse of the dollar and undercut commodity speculation by hedge funds.
Momentum traders have blithely ignored last week's accord by the G7 powers, which described "sharp fluctuations in major currencies" as a threat to economic and financial stability. The euro has surged to fresh records this week, touching $1.5982 against the dollar and £0.8098 against sterling yesterday. Widely expected to be the next prime minister, Netanyahu said he would not honor an agreement reached between Fatah chief Abbas and Olmert - who are currently engaged in frantic negotiations on final status issues. The nature of the hurried negotiations with the questionably-sovereign head of a fractured PA is to reach a US-imposed deadline of at least a theoretical deal for a Palestinian state by the end of 2008.
What Netanyahu has done has been to literally sabotage any possibility of an agreement by saying that Israel won't honor any agreement between Abbas and Olmert.
If "Bebe" Netanyahu unilaterally voids a peace deal made by the previous Prime Minister, the diplomatic future of any agreements made with any other nations is also in peril. . Because if one Israeli PM can void out an agreement a previous Prime Minister has signed off on, then absolutely no foreign policy accords with any country with Israel can ever be seen to be binding, including those done with the US. This means that Israel's word, as a nation, to another sovereign nation, can be scuttled at the whim of any future prime minister who doesn't like what his predecessor did. That said, I do not think that Likud Chairman Netanyahu really has to worry. Olmert appears to be just "running out the clock" on the current administration, waiting for what he believes may be a "better deal" on any Palestinian statehood from whoever winds up in office after the November elections. - M. R. Aides to Carter said they plan to hold a second round of talks with Hamas on Friday night to discuss proposals for a ceasefire with Israel and for the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, that Carter made when he met Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal.
If Carter does come through with a breakthrough proposal which includes (and guarantees) Shalit's release, watch for Israeli politicians to pounce on it, and attempt to tear it to shreds.
Shalit is much more valuable to Israel symbolically as a prisoner of Hamas than he would be a freed man, who had been treated humanely while in captivity. - M. R. Representatives of Breaking the Silence claim that their goal is "to encourage a public debate about the moral price paid by Israeli society as a whole due to the harsh reality faced by young soldiers forced to take control of a civilian population."
According to the organization, all testimonies were investigated fully before being printed and cross-referenced with witnesses' testimonies and archives of other human rights organizations. This, coming out of Ynet, one of Israel's on-line English news resources, demonstrates, very clearly, that a dialogue among Israelis must be undertaken about what the IDF's torture of Palestinians is doing to the very psyche and fabric of the Israeli nation.
The other factor is that now, a number of these atrocities have been documented on cell phone cameras, and those grueling, horrific images can be sent around the world in a heartbeat. - M. R. As we worked through the list of techniques, Myers became increasingly hesitant and troubled," writes Sands. "Haynes and Rumsfeld had been able to run rings around him."
"At the end of the day, however, Dick Myers was not a very powerful chairman in the first place, one reason Rumsfeld recommended him for the job". He added: "Haynes, Feith, Yoo, Bybee, Gonzalez and - at the apex - Addington, should never travel outside the US, except perhaps to Saudi Arabia and Israel. They broke the law; they violated their professional ethical code. In future, some government may build the case necessary to prosecute them in a foreign court, or in an international court." Remember: all this was (and is) being done with your tax dollars and in your name.
And if you happen to travel abroad, and feel moved to discuss America's love of freedom, human dignity, and democracy, just please shut up and resist until the urge passes.. Your foreign audience knows all too well that these values are held in complete contempt, by the members of this administration at the highest level. - M. R. With spectacular fanfare and a plethora of highlighted events, Israel is planning to celebrate its 60th birthday on 18 May 2008.
President Jimmy Carter's sensible plan to visit the Hamas leadership this week brings honesty and pragmatism to the Middle East while underscoring the fact that American policy has reached its dead end. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice acts as if a few alterations here and there would make the hideous straitjacket of apartheid fit better. While Rice persuades Israeli occupation forces to cut a few dozen meaningless roadblocks from among the more than 500 West Bank control points, these forces simultaneously choke off fuel supplies to Gaza; blockade its 1.5 million people; approve illegal housing projects on West Bank land; and attack Gaza City with F-16s, killing men, women and children. Sadly, this is "business as usual" for the Palestinians.

One of the many annoyances about living in George W. Bush's Washington is to read the commentaries about the Iraq War on the editorial pages of the Washington Post. Possibly never in modern times has a major newspaper been more wrong, more consistently with more arrogance than has the Post on this vital issue.
CORN should be used for food, not motor fuel, and yet the United States is committed to a policy that encourages farmers to turn an increasing amount of their crop into ethanol. This may save the nation a bit of the cost of imported oil, but it increases global-warming gases and contributes to higher food prices.
The intensification of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past couple of days is likely to be attributed to the Jewish state's inability to cope with Hamas's latest successful operation - two days ago, Palestinian fighters killed three Israeli soldiers and injured seven others.
The immediate Israeli knee-jerk reaction was of course to bomb the Gaza Strip continuously until it was deemed sufficient by Israeli leadership. The Texas Department of Public Safety expects to have new information Friday afternoon on a woman arrested in Colorado Springs who may have a connection with a raid on a religious compound in western Texas.
According to a release from the city of Colorado Springs, police arrested 33-year-old Rozita Swinton at her home on Wednesday on a charge of false reporting to authorities, a misdemeanor. The incident she was arrested for happened in February. Swinton was taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center. ... Texas authorities needed a criminal complaint before they could get a warrant to search the compound. They got it when they claimed a 16-year-old girl named Sarah called them for help, saying she was inside the ranch, pregnant and scared of her abusive 50-year-old husband. Austin police said Thursday that they are leaning toward a ruling of suicide in the death of a middle school teacher and activist whose body was found Wednesday in Lady Bird Lake with his hands and legs bound and tape over his eyes.
Police identified Riad Hamad, 55, at a news conference Thursday and said the binding of his limbs and the placement of the tape was consistent with Hamad having done it himself. Oh yeah, sure, suicides ALWAYS tape over their own eyes and tie themselves up before throwing themselves in a lake!

At a public ceremony and press conference held today outside the colonial "Indian Affairs" building in downtown Vancouver, the Friends and Relatives of the Disappeared (FRD) released a list of twenty eight mass graves across Canada holding the remains of untold numbers of aboriginal children who died in Indian Residential Schools.
'For every Israeli killed,' says Carter, 'between 30 to 40 Palestinians are killed because of the extreme military capability of Israel'
What Carter is saying is honest, logical, and done in an attempt to get some real dialogue going.
This is why the Israeli government can't stand him. And remember; in the last Palestinian election, universally judged to be free and fair, Hamas won that election. the Palestinian people where absolutely disgusted with Fatah, because of the massive corruption of its political machine. - M. R. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in an apparent concession to Pyongyang, indicated the entire overdue declaration might not be made public.
Translation: the US has blinked, and has, in fact, not had the glorious breakthrough with North Korea regarding its nuclear capability, which this administration trumpeted to the wold had happened some time back.
Again, we are witnessing another "triumph" of Bush's foreign policy "legacy". - M. R. The US attitude towards air strikes inside Pakistan's tribal belt and on talks with militants hiding in the area appears to have softened, but so far Washington has made no promise to halt the attacks, diplomatic and US official sources say.
"We talked about it in Pakistan," Mr Boucher told Dawn when asked to explain the US policy on air strikes on suspected terrorist targets inside the tribal zone. "We are both committed to ensure that terrorist threats are eliminated." Apparently, there is no such thing as a "sovereign nation" when it comes to US war tactics.
It appears that that Mr. Boucher and Mr. Negroponte are hell-bent on infuriating the new Pakistani parliament leaders any way they possibly can. - M. R. U.S. President Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown say they are working to extend sanctions against Iran's nuclear program.
President Bush says Iran's leaders can not be trusted to maintain a uranium enrichment program that they say is intended only for generating electricity. What are these people thinking, if one can describe their collective foreign policies as having come from any logical or sober discussions? They both know that this is a non-starter at the UN, where Russia and China will veto any further attempts at sanctions. There are political observers who see more grounds for concern, noting that Bill Clinton is the adviser closest to Hillary's ear.
The report carries considerable weight because it was written by Joseph Collins, a former senior Pentagon official, and was based in part on interviews with other former senior defense and intelligence officials who played roles in prewar preparations.
I suppose we should congratulate the writers of this report for their magnificent grasp of the obvious.
We never had enough boots on the ground to make this happen, and when General Shinseki told Rumsfeld that this operation would take several hundred thousand military personnel to really do the job, he was laughed out of the room, and handed his hat. I would imagine that no one in the Pentagon is laughing at those estimates now. - M. R. Copies of the documentation for the Chinese ship, the An Yue Jiang, show that the weapons were sent from Beijing to the ministry of defence in Harare. Headed "Dangerous goods description and container packing certificate", the document was issued on April 1, three days after Zimbabwe's election. It lists the consignment as including 3.5m rounds of ammunition for AK47 assault rifles and for small arms, 1,500 40mm rockets, 2,500 mortar shells of 60mm and 81mm calibre, as well as 93 cases of mortar tubes.

Unflipping believable.
Looks like Israel and AIPAC have gotten to this lady, big-time. And what they hate, and what terrifies these folks, is the possibility that Carter just might come up with a breakthrough which might move the region of the Middle East on a more peaceful, non-adversarial path. And of course, that's something they can't tolerate. - M. R. The federal government is pushing a bill to force all telecommunications providers to facilitate lawful data interception across fixed and mobile telephone systems, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Instant Messaging (IM) and chat room discussions.

An out of state Hog Farm Corporation has set up shop on the Reservation against the wishes of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, local farmers and community members.
When the Great Spirit asked us to care for the land we accepted this task and duty. It is a committed duty with many responsibilities; within these duties are found the many Spiritual ceremonies that govern our way of life. These ceremonies are conducted daily, weekly, monthly, seasonly, and yearly. In preparation we look for Medicinal plants, herbs, and roots that accompany our ceremonies and songs. Now with this climate change we fear many of the herbs, roots and plants will be lost because of the warming of Mother Earth and of mankind's destructive policies.

Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip is an "atrocity," former US president Jimmy Carter said after meeting with Hamas officials in Cairo. Carter also said he had asked Hamas officials to stop rocket attacks into Israel and defended his controversial meetings with the Palestinian terrorist group, saying it was necessary to talk to all parties to achieve peace.
The Canadian government is said to be ready to declare as toxic a chemical widely used in plastics for baby bottles, beverage and food containers as well as linings in food cans.
Israel is not ready for such comparisons, even though the situation begs it. It is doubtful whether it is possible to complain when an outside observer, especially a former U.S. president who is well versed in international affairs, sees in the system of separate roads for Jews and Arabs, the lack of freedom of movement, Israel's control over Palestinian lands and their confiscation, and especially the continued settlement activity, which contravenes all promises Israel made and signed, a matter that cannot be accepted. The interim political situation in the territories has crystallized into a kind of apartheid that has been ongoing for 40 years. In Europe there is talk of the establishment of a binational state in order to overcome this anomaly. In the peace agreement with Egypt, 30 years ago, Israel agreed to "full autonomy" for the occupied territories, not to settle there.
The exploitation of farmworkers should not be tolerated in Florida. It should not be tolerated anywhere in the United States. There are many social problems that are extremely difficult to solve. This is not one of them.

This documentary, entitled Bill Clinton: His Life, came out in 2004, right about the same time as the autobiography, Bill Clinton: My Life. It takes a good, hard look at the dirty dealings of both Bill and Hillary Clinton but, for some reason never achieved the popularity of Michael Moore's fantasy film, Fahrenheit 911. This movie has been thoroughly suppressed by our left-wing media to the point that it's not listed on IMDb, nor can you find anything about it through a Google search. Hopefully that will change now that it's been made available on YouTube. Watch and learn how the Clintons turned the White House into a headquarters for organized crime, communist spying and murder, all while the Clinton-friendly media kept the public distracted by focusing on a few of Slick Willy's petty sexual encounters.

Don't let the fact that Rita has been paid huge sums of money by the federal government and the FBI as a consultant blur the story line about the boogeyman known as "al-Qaeda."
The Jewish owned media group, S.I.T.E. Intelligence, led by Rita Katz, is back in action, releasing yet another tape--only audio--purported to be by al-Qaeda's #2, al-Zawahiri. Instead of running with an actual news story, the whole damned thing stinks of a psyop press release, with the same story repeated numerous times in the world press, as shown in this release. The tree has rewritten the history of the climate in the region, revealing that it was much warmer at that time and the ice had disappeared earlier than thought.
Well, as mentioned, they are now about to remake "Day" and they have searched the world over for a new timely message to expound upon. Is it that we still have too many people on this planet living in poverty? Is it that we still lamentably have regimes that use force and tyranny against their people? Is it that war is still all too common? Could these things be why the new "Day" film will posit that a powerful alien race wants to just erase humanity like a bad virus?
Nah. As far as the new "Day" movie goes, these powerful aliens are mad at us not because we are mean to each other, not because we might then bring that meanness with us into outer space. No, the important message that the Keanu Klaatu wants to bring us, the message that will warn us of an apocalyptic impending alien police action is.... Global warming. This one will tank.

Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman is the Senate co-sponsor of a little-noticed domestic anti-terrorism bill that could carry us several steps closer to the good old days of the House Un-American Activities Committee and Joe McCarthy. The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act (S.1959) is currently in committee after passing the House last year with no media scrutiny and no real debate by a 404-6 margin. The primary sponsor of the Senate bill is fellow Republican Susan Collins of Maine.
The purpose of the measure is to create a permanent federal commission to scrutinize radicals and would-be terrorists, and to fund a series of university-based centers devoted to ferreting out and tracking the dangerous subversives among us. The latter would operate under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security. A handful of critics from the blogosphere and the legal world have called out the measure on grounds that it its vague mandate amounts to criminalizing dissent. But even in the civil liberties demi-monde, it seems to be making little impact. The Yale Daily News breathlessly informed us of a female student, art major Aliza Shvarts, who claimed that her senior art project was a documentation of nine months of self-induced miscarriages. Her goal, of course, was to "spark conversation" about "the relationship between art and the human body."
What is really the truth with this so-called "art" project, though, is that Shvarts has pulled the wool over the eyes of the Yale Daily News, the willing dupes who claim to be her professors, and anyone reading this story on Drudge and believing she really induced her own miscarriages. It's all a hoax. Or, if not an outright hoax, it's a misleading tale of a girl who hasn't a clue about how one becomes pregnant, what the fake drugs she took are really capable of doing, and the psychological pain of a real miscarriage. The Fraser Institute, a Canadian think tank, recently published the report Saving the North American Security and Prosperity Partnership: The Case for a North American Regulatory Area. Not only do they want to save the SPP, but they wish to expand and speed up the process of deeper integration. This could include replacing the SPP with the North American Standards and Regulatory Area (NASRA). As if changing the name would alter its objectives and excuse the treasonous surrender of our sovereignty.
The problem with a North American Union is that it requires both Canada and the US to lower their standard of living to match that of Mexico.

Researchers have identified the malicious executable that attackers have been using to compromise thousands of websites for the last few months and serve up malicious code.
The executable turned out to be a utility designed to perform automated SQL injection attacks against websites found to be vulnerable through specific Web searches, according to an analysis done by the SANS Institute's Internet Storm Center. The utility seems to be written in Chinese and gives users the ability to decide which HTML tag he wants to insert into the vulnerable Web page. That is AMAZING! I did not know there were any computers that programmed in Chinese! I thought they all programmed in C or assembler, or PERL, or JAVA, or (if they are dinosaurs like me) Fortran!!!

The Department of Homeland Security, which President Bush established after the terror attacks, is going through the same process that all of the federal government does every four or eight years, but observers say the prevalence of terror attacks on or around election times has DHS especially on edge.
v"In every transition, departments and agencies are decapitated. All the political appointees disappear," said Bill Galston, a senior fellow in governance studies at the Brookings Institution. But the DHS planning effort "sounds more thorough and deeper than the norm," said Galston, who worked in the Clinton White House as a domestic policy adviser. One has to wonder precisely what kinds of events DHS is planning for....or, possibly, predicting... with some degree of certainty right around the time of the coming Presidential election and hand-off of government to a new administration. - M. Some of America's leaders are fundamentalists who literally believe in Armageddon. Many of these folks believe that Christians must help bring nuclear war to the middle east in order to bring on the apocalypse, so that the "second coming" will happen (and see this).
These folks are obviously dangerous. But this essay is not about them. It is about the other governmental leaders who are not fundamentalists, or perhaps not even religious at all, but are still creating a self-fulling prophecy of doom. The nazis herded the Jews of Poland into ghettos, the largest one being the Warsaw Ghetto. It had 400,000 inhabitants.
The zionists herded the Palestinians into ghettos, the largest one being the Gaza Strip. It HAS one and a half million inhabitants. Widespread media reports claim that a German schoolboy has recalculated the likelihood of a deadly planet-smasher asteroid hitting the Earth, and found the catastrophe is enormously more likely than NASA thought. The boy's sums were said to have been checked by both NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), and found to be correct.
There's only one problem with the story: the kid's sums are in fact wrong, NASA's are right, and the ESA swear blind they never said any different. An ESA spokesman in Germany told the Reg this morning: "A small boy did do these calculations, but he made a mistake... NASA's figures are correct." Okay, give us the raw data and let us do the calculations for ourselves.
Absent that, I can think of a large number of reasons why governments would NOT inform the public of an impending asteroid strike twenty years into the future, mostly relating to keeping the sheeple happily working and paying taxes. - M. R. VIRAL MARKET THE WHAT REALLY HAPPENED RADIO SHOW!...
