Canadian Media Ignoring Titanic Lawsuit vs. Bank of Canada

In early August 2013, two Canadians and COMER “confronted the global financial powers in the Canadian federal court.” They have filed a case against Bank of Canada earlier in 2011, in an effort to return the central bank to the people of Canada by printing its own debt-free currency like it was before 1974.

“COMER contends the Bank of Canada, a publicly owned national financial institution created in the Great Depression, is mandated to provide debt-free support for public projects undertaken by federal, provincial and city governments. Not doing so has deprived Canadians of the benefits of larger infrastructure investments, COMER alleges.

Would we all just follow orders? Most people will hurt others if told to do so by authority in 'Nuremburg' experiment

It is one of history’s most notorious psychological experiments, which horrified the world.

The Milgram experiment of 1961 showed ordinary people were willing to inflict terrible pain on a stranger when ‘following orders’.

It was carried out by Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University, who examined justifications for acts of genocide offered by those accused at the World War II, Nuremberg War Criminal trials.

Now, after more than 50 years, a re-run of the experiment has produced the same result.

Kodi users will be threatened with 10 YEARS in PRISON

The Government's Digital Economy Bill could hand copyright trolls the opportunity to threaten online users with prison sentences of up to 10 years.

According to a new campaign page by the Open Rights Group – a digital campaigning organisation that aims to protect the rights to privacy and free speech online – the Bill criminalises minor copyright infringement.

Open Rights Group want to change the Digital Economy Bill so that it is more specific.

The Government wants to use the Bill to increase penalties for criminals running websites that allow people to download copyright-protected material.

However the proposed legislation will criminalise any infringement where money has not been paid for copyrighted content, or where it can be proven that there is a "risk of loss".

That could include people who fileshare, or send copyrighted material as a GIF.

Trading education for social justice

A series of recent stories involving extremist political correctness on campus illustrate that colleges and universities are going far beyond placing ridiculous, and often unconstitutional, limits on free speech. Some schools are manipulating courses and programs of study to prioritize social justice at the expense of fact-based evidence. Here are a few of the most insane examples…

Who got rich off the student debt crisis

A generation ago, Congress privatized a student loan program intended to give more Americans access to higher education.

In its place, lawmakers created another profit center for Wall Street and a system of college finance that has fed the nation’s cycle of inequality. Step by step, Congress has enacted one law after another to make student debt the worst kind of debt for Americans – and the best kind for banks and debt collectors.

Today, just about everyone involved in the student loan industry makes money off students – the banks, private investors, even the federal government.

Judge Napolitano Says British Intelligence Provided Obama Admin With Surveillance Data on Trump Tower Phone Conversations

In a startling segment on the Fox News program The First 100 Days, Judge Andrew Napolitano told viewers that there will be no paper trail linking President Obama to any surveillance of telephone calls in Trump Tower during the presidential transition period. (President Obama called it “wiretapping” even though no wires were involved.) The reason is that British intelligence had access to NSA surveillance data – which captures every phone call in the United States – and were able to provide such intelligence to President Obama without a FISA court warrant or any other paper trail that would expose an American intelligence agency that used the same NSA data. Click here to see the segment in which he explained the scheme, or watch it below:

China Initiative Wants To Help Trump's 2026 U.S.A. Vision; British Intelligence Wants To Impeach or Kill Him

Interesting considering the recent revelation that Obama had the Brits spying on Trump.

If the growing number of reports that Donald Trump and Xi Jinping will meet in Florida next month are true, the way is open for President Trump to collaborate with China's global growth and progress driver -- the so-called New Silk Road or Belt and Road Initiative -- as Barack Obama refused to do. The horizon goals Trump set out for America's "250th Anniversary" in 2026 -- peace with nations including our current "adversaries," a renewed modern economic infrastructure, "our footsteps on distant worlds" -- would then have far better prospect of being reached. Those goals are not on the leadership's agenda of either of the United States' warring political parties.

Obama administration spent $36MILLION trying to keep government records secret during its final year

Number of lawsuits filed by news organizations under the FOIA also surged..
Obama administration received a record 788,769 requests for files last year...
It also spent a record $478 million answering them...
An Obama spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment..

The Obama administration spent a record $36.2 million on legal costs in its last year in office in an attempt to keep government records secret.
For a second consecutive year, the administration set a record for the number of times federal employees said they couldn't find a single page of files that were requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
And it set records for the outright denial of access to files, refusing to quickly consider requests described as especially newsworthy, and forcing people to pay for records.

Social divisions are absolutely rational and healthy, and there is nothing “evil” or totalitarian about organizing only with people that share your values. The real evil comes from those that would suppress our values in the name of “harmonization” — there is no such thing. Globalists and leftists argue for the adoption and toleration of all ideologies and principles as a means to peace, but what they really want in the end is the erasure of all the ideologies and principles they see as disagreeable in order to make way for their own.

Kim Jong-un threatens ‘MERCILESS’ attack on America in retaliation for South Korea drills

He said he would attack his Western enemies from “ground, air, sea and underwater” in a sabre-rattling statement released through state media.

The propaganda press agency KCNA indicated the blood-thirsty despot was becoming increasingly agitated by the joint military drills south of the border.

A statement attributed to Kim said: “If they infringe on the DPRK's sovereignty and dignity even a bit, its army will launch merciless ultra-precision strikes from ground, air, sea and underwater.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Here is where these threats break down; in the use of the words "ultra-precision strikes."

Unless the DPRK has been able to buy, or develop, some advanced guidance systems from rogue countries which are comfortable about ducking UN sanctions against such things, their guidance has generally been their proverbial Achilles' heel.

And threats like these are truly, geopolitically counter-productive, unless a country can actually back them up, but it is imminently possible that North Korea's guidance and nuclear capabilities have evolved to the point where they can do what they threaten. As reported today in http://www.theaustralian.com.au:

Imagine that instead of friendly, congenial New Zealand across the Tasman we had Kim’s North Korea firing nuclear capable missiles into the sea less than 200km from Sydney or Brisbane, and you get a sense of why Japan and South Korea consider North Korea an existential threat. Seoul has long been in range of North Korean’s short-range missiles and about 8000 artillery pieces that could devastate the South Korean capital within hours — not to mention the hundreds of thousands of North Korean troops likely to pour out of massive hidden tunnel systems along the demilitarised zone if hostilities, never formally ended following the 1953 Korean War, were to resume. But the recently acquired ability to arm these missiles with nuclear warheads means that Kim can destroy South Korea as a functioning society, since the south has no effective means of defending against them. Lacking a workable defensive missile shield of its own, it’s hardly surprising Seoul has turned to Washington for assistance by agreeing to host a THAAD battery on its soil, despite domestic resistance and the likely election of the dovish Moon Jae-in to replace the disgraced Park Geun-hye, whose impeachment was last week upheld by the constitutional court. Moon has already conceded it will be difficult to reverse the decision of the interim government to speed up the THAAD deployment. THAAD has been fiercely resisted by Beijing because the powerful X-band radar, which forms the heart of the system, can see thousands of kilometres into China from the outskirts of Seoul, allowing the US to potentially shoot down Chinese missiles, putting at risk China’s missile-centric military strategy in which it has invested billions of dollars. However, China’s threats of retribution are unlikely to delay or derail the planned THAAD deployment to South Korea, which is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of April. Japan and the US have an even bigger problem as the likeliest targets for Kim’s nukes. By launching four missiles simultaneously, Kim has demonstrated a previously unseen capacity to overwhelm Japan’s limited ballistic missile defence system with saturation attacks, threatening Tokyo and other major Japanese cities as well as the 54,000 US military personnel based in Japan and their 40,000 dependents.

I am absolutely not advocating for war with North Korea; that being said, at this moment, the US, China, and South Korea might have an opportunity to get North Korea back to the bargaining table, and replace the existing Armistice with a true peace deal, with the proviso that upon signing this treaty, North Korea would abandon its nuclear weapons program entirely.

In the Chinese language, the ideogram for "crisis" and "opportunity" is one and the same; I would like to hope that the US government understands that, but will not hold out a lot of hope right now.

Unfortunately, as things stand, with the THAAD units in South Korea being completed and operational at the end of April, I see a potential start to a military conflict happening at the beginning of May, unless some intelligent, moral, and hard-won negotiations are put into place to prevent this from happening.

IT’S OFFICIAL ~~ ISRAEL IS ON THE ROAD TO FASCISM

Police detained prominent left-wing activist Jeff Halper last Wednesday at the Ma’aleh Adumim settlement, for suspected incitement, saying they acted on a complaint he had “materials related to BDS” in his possession.

Halper, who moved to Israel from the United States in 1973, was picked up after leading a tour of foreigners to the E1 site across the road from the settlement and transported by police van to a nearby station then released without being placed under arrest.

Police officers photographed the posters and maps he was holding before freeing him. Halper denies handing out any material related to BDS during the tour, or even discussing the boycott movement.

Handing out such materials would not have been in violation of the law, even a 2011 anti-boycott law according to which a person or an organization calling for the boycott of Israel, including the settlements, can be sued by the boycott’s targets without them having to prove that they sustained any damage.

More than 1,500 children dead in two years of Yemen war: UN

The conflict in Yemen has killed nearly 7,700 people, including at least 1,564 children, since a Saudi-led coalition intervened on the government's side two years ago, UN agencies said Monday.

The UN children's agency UNICEF said that by March 10, at least 1,546 children were killed and 2,450 others maimed in Yemen.

Of those killed, 1,022 were boys and 478 were girls while 46 were of "unknown sex", UNICEF said in a statement.

During that same period 1,801 boys and 649 girls were wounded while 1,572 boys were recruited to serve as child soldiers, said UNICEF.

In March 2015, a Saudi-led Arab coalition mounted an air campaign in support of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi whose authority was being challenged by Shiite Huthi rebels.

The rebels overran the capital Sanaa in September 2014 forcing Hadi to seek first refuge in the southern city of Aden and then exile in Saudi Arabia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For the last 2 years, the Saudi military have been committing war crimes in Yemen, which the US government has enabled by selling them the bombs, and providing guidance for their targeting; this makes the United States Government complicit in Saudi war crimes.

Additionally, the Saudi military has blockaded Yemen ports which makes it impossible to get desperately needed food aid into the country; consequently, Yemeni children are starving to death.

images: Yemeni children wounded and killed by Saudi bombing strikes

images: Yemeni children starving to death due to Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports

Of course, the US presstitute media will never show you these images, because it breaks the narrative that somehow, these Saudi war crimes, and the Saudi creation of genocide in Yemen, are done for a "good and noble cause", to get the Houthis out of the country.

But the real reasons for the Saudi invasion, and hoped for occupation, are far different, and include the following:

Riyadh's Dirty Secret: Saudi Arabia Thirsty for Yemeni Oil, Gas Reserves

And from the US government's perspective:

Yemen : US Naval Base on Occupied Socotra Island

As stated in the following article from globalresearch.ca:

The Yemeni archipelago of Socotra in the Indian Ocean is located some 80 kilometres off the Horn of Africa and 380 kilometres South of the Yemeni coastline. The islands of Socotra are a wildlife reserve recognized by (UNESCO), as a World Natural Heritage Site. Socotra is at the crossroads of the strategic naval waterways of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden (See map below). It is of crucial importance to the US military. Among Washington’s strategic objectives is the militarization of major sea ways. This strategic waterway links the Mediterranean to South Asia and the Far East, through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. It is a major transit route for oil tankers. A large share of China’s industrial exports to Western Europe transits through this strategic waterway. Maritime trade from East and Southern Africa to Western Europe also transits within proximity of Socotra (Suqutra), through the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. (see map below). A military base in Socotra could be used to oversee the movement of vessels including war ships in an out of the Gulf of Aden. “The [Indian] Ocean is a major sea lane connecting the Middle East, East Asia and Africa with Europe and the Americas. It has four crucial access waterways facilitating international maritime trade, that is the Suez Canal in Egypt, Bab-el-Mandeb (bordering Djibouti and Yemen), Straits of Hormuz (bordering Iran and Oman), and Straits of Malacca (bordering Indonesia and Malaysia). These ‘chokepoints’ are critical to world oil trade as huge amounts of oil pass through them.”

Additionally, Socotra is as close as any military base could be to Diego Garcia, being about 1200 miles away.

This is why the US government doesn't want any talk about a political settlement between divided factions in Yemen; a united Yemen would want its island back, and the US government will simply not allow that to happen, so countless more Yemenis will have to die here.

Congress Created a Monster

Those of us who believe that the Constitution means what it says have been arguing since the late 1970s that congressional efforts to strengthen national security by weakening personal liberty are unconstitutional, un-American and ineffective. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which Congress passed in the aftermath of President Richard Nixon's use of the CIA and the FBI to spy on his political opponents, has unleashed demons that now seem beyond the government's control and are more pervasive than anything Nixon could have dreamed of.

This realization came to a boiling point last weekend when President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of monitoring his telephone calls during the 2016 presidential election campaign. Can a U.S. president legally spy on a political opponent or any other person in America without any suspicion, probable cause or warrant from a judge? In a word, yes.

Rand Paul Is Right: NSA Routinely Monitors Americans’ Communications Without Warrants

ON SUNDAY’S Face the Nation, Sen. Rand Paul was asked about President Trump’s accusation that President Obama ordered the NSA to wiretap his calls. The Kentucky senator expressed skepticism about the mechanics of Trump’s specific charge, saying: “I doubt that Trump was a target directly of any kind of eavesdropping.” But he then made a broader and more crucial point about how the U.S. government spies on Americans’ communications — a point that is deliberately obscured and concealed by U.S. government defenders.

Paul explained how the NSA routinely and deliberately spies on Americans’ communications — listens to their calls and reads their emails — without a judicial warrant of any kind:

More Mideast Madness as Trump Prepares to March

We are now moving rapidly into stage II of Levantine Madness as the US boosts its intervention in the war-torn Mideast.

Five thousand US troops are back in Iraq to bolster the shattered nation’s puppet regime that is propped up by American bayonets. New Iraqi military formations have been formed, totally equipped with modern US M1 Abrams tanks, Humvees, and fleets of trucks. More US forces are on the way.

As if this witch’s brew was not sufficiently toxic, US and Russian aircraft and Special Forces are brushing up against one another in Syria. At the same time, the US Navy in the nearby Persian Gulf is provoking the Iranians to please President Donald Trump who seems determined to have war with Iran.

The US Navy is now threatening to impose a naval blockade on war-torn Yemen, another joint US-Saudi warfare enterprise that has gone terribly wrong.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am deeply concerned about the lousy quality of counsel, and information, President Trump is getting regarding the US military presence in the Middle East, and Afghanistan, and how things in the countries in which we are fighting are getting worse, and not better at all.

IF the leadership of both NATO and and the US government had a shred of sense regarding Afghanistan, they would have their troops exit this country as quickly as was safe, and negotiate with whatever government remained standing in Kabul for the pipeline routes, and the rights to the amazing level of mineral deposits Afghanistan possesses.

Of course... THAT would be logical.

State Legislator in Illinois Introduces Gun Confiscation Bill

Now, in the state of Illinois, where violent crime is skyrocketing in Chicago, politicians are considering a Democrat-backed bill which would allow for gun confiscation, as long as any family member or law enforcement official asks for it to happen.

If the cops believe you’re a danger to yourself, they can take your gun away. Never mind all the thousands of criminals in Chicago who are never giving up THEIR guns.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Report: Trump Gives CIA Permission To Perform Drone Strikes

President Donald Trump has given the Central Intelligence Agency new authority to conduct drone attacks against suspected militants, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing U.S. officials.

The move would be a change from the policy of former President Barack Obama’s administration of limiting the CIA’s paramilitary role, the newspaper reported.

The White House, the U.S. Department of Defense and the CIA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Strikes by missile-armed Predator and Reaper drones against oversea targets began under former President George W. Bush and were expanded by Obama.

Critics of the targeted killing program question whether the strikes create more militants than they kill. They cite the spread of jihadist organizations and militant attacks throughout the world as evidence that targeted killings may be exacerbating the problem.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In a country which was engineered, legally, around the concept of due process, extrajudicial assassinations should have utterly no place in American war tactics, and work as marvelous tools of radicalization, inspiring aggrieved young men to seek the revenge of jihad.

These drone strikes are, very practically, a way to perpetuate wars, leaving utterly no chance for political solutions globally.

And given the "rogue agency" status, and capabilities, of the CIA, as witnessed by the Wickileaks "dump" of Vault 7 last week, I have to wonder; what will prevent the CIA from engaging in extrajudicial assassinations here in the US?!?

Unfortunately, the short answer is, not much!!

MONSANTO ATTEMPT TO BLOCK GLYPHOSATE FROM CALIFORNIA CANCER LIST TOSSED BY JUDGE

A California state court has dismissed a legal challenge by multinational agribusiness firm Monsanto that seeks to bar the state from adding glyphosate, the lead ingredient in the company’s Roundup herbicide, to a list of cancer-causing chemicals.

On March 10, Fresno County Superior Court Judge Kristi Culver Kapetan ruled against Monsanto’s challenge to a provision of Proposition 65, a California voter initiative passed in 1986 that requires the state’s governor to publicize a list of chemicals known to cause cancer.

The California Office of Environmental Health Health Hazard Assessment proposed to add glyphosate to the Proposition 65 list after the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified the chemical as a probable human carcinogen in 2015.

‘YOU’RE ERDOGAN’S HOSTAGE, CLOSE BORDERS,’ FAR-RIGHT POPULIST WILDERS TELLS DUTCH PM

The war of words between Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and far-right populist Geert Wilders exploded in a face to face debate on Monday as Wilders called on Rutte to close the Netherlands’ borders.

“You are being taken hostage by [Turkish President] Erdogan. Close the Dutch borders,” Wilders told his top rival, Rutte, during the 30-minute televised debate.

“That’s a totally fake solution,” Rutte retorted, hitting back at Wilders’ suggestion that the Dutch borders should be shut.

“You want Nexit, you want the Netherlands out of Europe. You know what it will cost… don’t do it,” he warned.

If the Netherlands were to leave the EU, it would be “the best thing that could happen to us,” Wilders argued.

Rutte responded that a “Nexit” would cost 1.5 million jobs and trigger “chaos.”

“What we have to do to protect our borders is not make agreements with people like Mr. Erdogan,” Wilders said, referring to the European Union’s migrant deal with Turkey.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The palpable anger from many Europeans on the effects of unchecked immigration, resulting in many cases, in physical assaults on Europe's women, coupled with a vast lessening of the quality of their lives, may well result in both Wilders' electoral triumph in Holland, Le Pen's electoral victory in France.

The existing governments of these countries have earned the change-up, by not thinking the ultimate effects of such immigration through, as has Germany.

U.N. Accuses Turkey of Killing Hundreds of Kurds

Turkey’s military and police forces have killed hundreds of people during operations against Kurdish rebels in southeastern Turkey, the United Nations said on Friday in a report that listed summary killings, torture, rape and widespread destruction of property among an array of human rights abuses.

The report, by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, details how operations by the Turkish infantry, artillery, tanks and possibly aircraft drove up to half a million people from their homes over a 17-month period from July 2015 to the end of 2016.

Though the report is focused on the conduct of security forces in southeastern Turkey, the 25-page document underscores the deepening alarm of the United Nations over the measures ordered by Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, since a failed coup attempt last July.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, but what is the UN (and the US government) actually prepared to do about these war crimes?!?

My prediction is that, yet again, the UN will prove impotent, and thoroughly useless in stopping these war crimes in any way.

And one cannot help but notice the hypocrisy that, according to the US government, some war crimes are perfectly acceptable, such as the Saudi war crimes against Yemeni non-combatants, in the killing and maiming of Yemen's children, and the starving to death to of Yemen's children by the Saudi blockade of Yemen ports, meaning no food aid can get in at all.

Images: wounded and slaughtered Yemeni children from Saudi air strikes

Images of starving Yemeni children, courtesy of Saudi port blockades

The US government apparently has absolutely no moral qualms about being complicit to Saudi war crimes in Yemen, because it suits its geopolitical agenda; it will be interesting to see what the official Trump administration's response will be this UN charge about Turkish war crimes against the Kurds.

Oh, and did I mention that after the 2015 Saudi invasion of Yemen, the US began a massive construction on a US naval base on the Yemeni island of Socotra?!?

Yemen and The Militarization of Strategic Waterways

And as reported on 29 August 2015 at syria360.wordpress.com:

The US has invaded and occupied Yemen’s strategic Island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean and is now building up its biggest naval base there, media reports said. “Hundreds of workers from Asian countries have been deployed by the US navy to construct its biggest naval base on the island,” Arabic-language Al-Masyra TV quoted a Spanish-language newspaper as saying on Saturday. The Pentagon’s publicly disclosed military and security program for Yemen grew from $4.6 million in 2006 to $67 million last year. “That figure does not include covert, classified assistance that the United States has provided.” [1] In addition, “Under a new classified cooperation agreement, the U.S. would be able to fly cruise missiles, fighter jets or unmanned armed drones against targets in the country, but would remain publicly silent on its role in the airstrikes.” [2] On January 1 General David Petraeus, the chief of the Pentagon’s Central Command, in charge of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as operations in Yemen and Pakistan, was in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad and said of deepening military involvement in Yemen, “We have, it’s well known, about $70 million in security assistance last year. That will more than double this coming year.” [3]

I cannot precisely recall the headlines from 29 August, 2015; but I can, with a great deal of certainty, assure you that the invasion, occupation, and the building of this US military base in Socotra, was never mentioned by the corporate presstitutes and whorespondents in the US.

So, in 2016, the US government spent $140 million, give or take, in "security assistance" in Yemen? (read: construction of this military base).

This creates an ability of the US Navy to project power into the Gulf of Aden, and Indian ocean. And I would suggest that this, and not the Houthi rebellion which threw the Al-Hadi government out of power, is the "real reason" the US government is complicit in Saudi war crimes, by allowing them to buy the bombers from US companies, and providing "guidance" for their bombing runs.

In any reasonable political solution to the problems in Yemen (and most experts do agree that the ultimate resolution has to be political, rather than military here), the Yemeni government would want to claim these territories back from the United States; but the continued Saudi, US-enabled attacks simply assure that such a political solution can not possibly happen, until the completion of this US naval base is a "fait accompli".

So according to the US government's "logic", is why Yemenis continue to die of Saudi bombings, and starvation of their children.

HOW THE CIA AND A TECH STARTUP ARE ARMING POLICE, INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES

It is run out of a quiet, unassuming office on a tree-lined avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. The rows of hip restaurants are offering young urban professionals all the grande-iced-sugar-free-vanilla-soy-lattes they could ever need. However, this serene suburban idyll belies the fact that serious work for the police state is taking place out of view. Nestled in a suite just upstairs from the Asian fusion and seafood restaurants is a company that is transforming the way law enforcement, intelligence agencies and even giant corporations communicate within their organizations and with each other.

China makes it illegal to insult ‘heroes and martyrs’ of its Communist Party

POLITICIANS introduced amendments to China's nascent civil code to make defaming “heroes and martyrs” of the ruling Communist Party a civil offence, as the leadership moves to strengthen its grasp on the history of the People's Republic.

One addition is the line: “Encroaching upon the name, portrait, reputation and honour of heroes and martyrs harms the public interest, and should bear civil liability.”

The deeds of revolutionary heroes and sacrifices of military martyrs are central to the Party's legitimacy, much of which is based on claims of great historic achievements, such as defeating Japan during the Second World War.

Academics who offer different interpretations of history which downplay the role of the Party and its heroes are labelled “historical nihilists”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Xi Jinping, a word, please: ultimately false narratives crumble and dissolve of their own rot. So please be careful about which portions of the Chinese Communist narrative are actually, factually true, which is, of course, what you want to present.

One of the most interesting cautionary tales I can share, sir is that of the true story of Father Junipero Serra, one of the most brutal and blunt instruments of Spanish colonization to ever walk the formerly beautiful trails of early California, but who was nonetheless cannonised by the Catholic church, which viewed this man through a faux mystical miasma having almost nothing to do with the truth of what he did in California.

Malware expert says ‘fingerprint’ switch shows past attacks blamed on Russia, China are work of CIA

According to the leaked information, the CIA’s malware allows the intelligence agency to not only steal hacking techniques, but also to leave false “fingerprints” to make it appear as if others were responsible for the attack.

Speaking in a livestream on Thursday, Assange announced that WikiLeaks will give tech companies access to the methods used by the CIA in its hacking operations. Assange then said that after the revelation, an anti-virus expert approached WikiLeaks to say that attacks previously blamed on Russia, China and Iran have now been pinned on the CIA.

“The technology is designed to be unaccountable, it’s designed to be untraceable, it’s designed to hide itself. It’s designed to throw off people looking to see where there are fingerprints that might demonstrate who authored that technology," Assange explained.

8,000 Documents Detail CIA Crimes — But US Media Won’t Touch Them

It's now been roughly 24 hours since Wikileaks released more than 8,000 documents detailing the CIA's "global covert hacking program".

And the leaks (known as "Vault 7") haven't even finished yet. As the Independent notes, "when taken together, Vault 7 will make up the biggest intelligence publication in history."

Considering how much the U.S. media loves to gossip about spies and hacking, you would expect around-the-clock coverage and analysis of these leaks.

SUPERSTAR REPORTER GOES PUBLIC WITH OBAMA'S CREEPY SPYING ON HER

Sharyl Attkisson shared with WND a detailed and harrowing description of what it was like to experience a reality straight out of Orwell: The reporter claims she was spied on by the Obama administration while investigating its scandals.

What tipped her off?

Imagine what it must be like to watch your computer turn itself on and off.

“That’s one visible sign I noticed over many months,” Attkisson told WND in an email interview.

“At the time, I suspected it was some sort of phishing program seeking my passwords and contacts, and was confident my computer had sufficient protections. I never suspected it was connected to an intrusion of my systems until sources and forensics told me that it was.”

She also watched a different computer that she used delete files by itself.

WIKI-LIES (Cont...) It's the self-policing web encyclopaedia that has banned the Mail as a source. But as these deeply disturbing accounts reveal, its pages are littered with inaccuracies - and God help the victims who dare complain

An investigation by this paper has revealed how Wikipedia banned the Daily Mail as a source after just 53 out of its 30 million editors voted to do so. Their spurious argument was that the Mail could not be trusted to be accurate. But — as the internet’s inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee says online ‘fake news’ must be tackled — what about the accuracy of information on Wikipedia? Here, two writers describe their Kafkaesque experiences when they found their entries were littered with mistakes . . .

Webmaster's Commentary:

I myself had a similar experience with WikiPedia years ago. Someone put up an article about me that was frankly quite unflattering. Using the edit function I made one and only one change. I changed "Antisemite" to "critic of Israel's government" which is more accurate. When I check back the next day, my change had been undone and I found the article locked against editing! When I asked why I could not correct the article, WikiPedia declared that I, Michael Rivero, was not a recognized authority on the subject of "Michael Rivero." I went public, and the article was deleted, along with a similar unflattering article about whatreallyhappened.com. I have been an "unperson: at WikiPedia ever since! This was all going on at the same time WikiPedia articles about the Roman and Medieval warming periods were being re-written to make those events seem less significant and thus less of a threat to the human-caused global warming scam!

CIA Stresses Loyalty to the AGENCY Over Loyalty to the Constitution

One of the things that most observers don’t understand is that the CIA will do anything – anything – to survive. All CIA officers are taught to lie. They lie all the time, about everything, to everybody. And they justify it by trying to convince themselves that they are doing it in the national interest, for national security. From my very first day in the CIA, it was drilled into me, as it is into every other employee, that “the primary mission is to protect the Agency.” That was the mantra.

In the early 1980’s Donald Trump was an up and coming real estate developer in New York. There was no connection between the Trump name and casinos or gambling. In 1987 Donald Trump purchased his first casino interests when he acquired 93% of the shares in Resorts International. MALWARE ATTACKS USED BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT RETAIN POTENCY FOR MANY YEARS, NEW EVIDENCE INDICATES

Rand’s report is based on unprecedented access to a database of zero days from a company that sells them to governments and other customers on the “gray market.” The collection contains about 200 entries — about the same number of zero days some experts believe the government to have. Rand found that the exploits had an average lifespan of 6.9 years before the vulnerability each targeted was disclosed to the software maker to be fixed, or before the vendor made upgrades to the code that unwittingly eliminated the security hole.

Some of the exploits survived even longer than this. About 25 percent had a lifespan of a decade or longer. But another 25 percent survived less than 18 months before they were patched or rendered obsolete through software upgrades.

The Korean Crisis and the THAAD Missile Deployment: A Growing Tinderbox in the South

Objections to THAAD are not only coming from Pyongyang. Moscow and Beijing have both spoken up against the new missile system for reasons that are routinely ignored in US media discourse.

South Korea is hardly unprotected and alone. The United States already has 28,500 troops in South Korea. It also has F-16 fighter aircraft and A-10 bomber jets. South Korea’s military is also very well stocked, with F-35 Fighter Jets, Aegis Destroyers, and all kinds of military hardware purchased from the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This implementation of the THAAD system in South Korea is being constructed there for one reason, and one reason only; preparations for war against North Korea.

What President Trump could do to ratchet down the tensions here, would be to engage China to bring back North Korea to the bargaining table with the upcoming new South Korean President and government, and the US in order to hammer out an actual peace treaty to replace the armistice, with guarantees of free movement for North Korean goods, in exchange for North Korea's ending of it's nuclear weapons program.

Of course, that...would be logical.

Indeed, anyone who was in the public eye or an activist was within the sights of the intelligence agencies.

‘Bomb the Sh*t Out Of Them!’ – Trump Drones Yemen More in One Week Than Obama in a Year

But although the US escalation in Yemen is sold back home as another aggressive front in the war against al-Qaeda, in fact US operations in Yemen are actually helping al-Qaeda as well as its chief sponsor, Saudi Arabia.

The problem is that because his advisors are increasingly drawn from the neocon camp, the advice he is given is filtered through the “noble lie” that the neocons view as the central tenet of their faith. Thus even though the main enemies of al-Qaeda in Yemen are the Houthis, because Trump has been sold the neocon lie that the Houthis are Iranian proxies Trump is droning Yemen back to the stone age to the advantage of al-Qaeda and Saudi Arabia, who are on the same side.

While it is arguable that the President has authority under the authorization for the use of military force against those attacked us on 9/11 to attack al-Qaeda in Yemen, very few would argue that such authorization extends to actually helping al-Qaeda in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only hope of a cessation of hostilities here is political rather than military, and I am appalled at the poor quality of advice President Trump is getting on the issue of Yemen.

President Trump needs to be reminded that, by selling Saudi Arabia the bombs with which to kill and maim non-combatants, plus supporting the Saudi's not allowing food aid to reach children who are, literally, starving to death from malnutrition, he is continuing to put the US government in the position of being complicit in war crimes.

Here's what Yemen looks like right now:

The Trump Administration's Human-Rights Dilemma

President Donald Trump has demonstrated little interest in promoting human rights abroad. He was a dealmaker, focused on achieving concrete economic and security ends. Worrying about whether other peoples can, say, protest against their government doesn’t seem to concern him.

Ultimately, a foreign policy is sustainable only if it advances the interests of the people expected to pay and die for it. Protecting America—its population, territory, economic prosperity and constitutional liberties—is the government’s most important duty.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t bar Washington from attempting to advance human liberty in ways consistent with its larger responsibilities. Simply talking about the importance of governments respecting human life and dignity can help.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a Biblical injunction about "reaping what you sow"; in the Middle East, by NOT emphasizing human rights, the US government is reaping a whirlwind of anti-US sentiment.

By supporting governments, militarily and financially, like Saudi Arabia; Bahrain; Egypt; and Turkey, which are suppressing their own people, the US government is setting the stage for deep radicalisation, if not revolution in those places.

Suppression only works so long, and then, BANG! You've got a coup on your hands, and an ensuing government which has a long memory for how the US government's support of former oppressive leaders destroyed life and limb.

Look at Iran's hatred for the US government, which the US government very much earned by overthrowing the duly elected President Mossadegh in 1953 in a CIA-orchestrated coup, replacing him with the Shaw of Iran.

The Shah's intelligence arm, the Savak, (which routinely tortured and imprisoned Iranians to keep his population always on the keening edge of fear) made the East German Stassi look like buttercups, in comparison.

So when the 1979 Iranian revolution happened, and the Shaw was booted out of the country, the US government was, as is usual, pathologically incapable of taking ANY responsibility whatsoever for creating the situation which caused the people to rebel against the tyranny of the Shaw, and condemned the Iranian people for having revolted against such a monster.

The US government has a deep, moral responsibility to encourage the observance of human rights; because when that does not happen, as the late President Kennedy Stated: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

Among the game-changing “fake news” We the People are told by “leaders” in government and corporate media is that government employee retirement contributions placed into investment funds pay for retirees’ benefits.

Let’s summarize the data of California’s 2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR; the last time I looked) and what it means for the state’s 12 million households:

Officials and corporate media never remind taxpayers, but California holds $600 billion in taxpayer cash and investments ($50,000 non-disclosed assets per household).

California’s ~14,000 various government entities’ CAFRs have a sampled-data total estimate of $8 trillion in surplus taxpayer assets ($650,000 non-disclosed assets per household). For examples, page 63 of L.A. County’s 2011 CAFR shows $66 billion in cash and investments; City of L.A.'s CAFR page 58 shows $38 billion.

‘Bomb the Sh*t Out of Them!’ – Trump Drones Yemen More in One Week Than Obama in a Year

Undeterred by the disastrous commando raid on Yemen in the first days of his Administration, where plenty of civilians were killed but the target got away, President Donald Trump has escalated US military involvement in the tragic Yemen conflict to an unprecedented level. In fact as Foreign Policy reports, the US President has bombed Yemen more in the past week than President Obama (no peacenik) has bombed in a year.

U.S. Drone Strikes Have Gone Up 432% Since Trump Took Office

hen he was in office, former President Barack Obama earned the ire of anti-war activists for his expansion of Bush’s drone wars. The Nobel Peace Prize-winning head of state ordered ten times more drone strikes than the previous president, and estimates late in Obama’s presidency showed 49 out of 50 victims were civilians. In 2015, it was reported that up to 90% of drone casualties were not the intended targets.

Current President Donald Trump campaigned on a less interventionist foreign policy, claiming to be opposed to nation-building and misguided invasions. But less than two months into his presidency, Trump has expanded the drone strikes that plagued Obama’s “peaceful” presidency.

According to an analysis from Micah Zenko, an analyst with the Council on Foreign Relations, Trump has markedly increased U.S. drone strikes since taking office. Zenko, who reported earlier this year on the over 26,000 bombs Obama dropped in 2016, summarized the increase:

Trump Should Make a Deal With North Korea

President Donald Trump likes to be known for his deal-making, and now he has the opportunity to make deals that can impact world peace and security, not just real estate or other business deals for his profit. North Korea would be a great place to start.

Regardless of how one feels about any of those issues and Trump’s assertions, he now has a chance to do something Obama didn’t, which is to increase global and regional security by at least halting North Korea’s advances on nuclear weapons and ballistic missile technology.

The basic contours of what North Korea wants are well known, at least first steps, and it’s not rocket science. Not necessarily in this order, they are: a formal peace treaty to replace the supposedly temporary armistice at the end of the Korean War in 1953, direct talks with the United States, and relief from what it sees as a confrontational military posture by the US, South Korea and Japan, cessation of war games being the most obvious step.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a sane and reasonable approach to the issue of North Korea's nuclear weapons development program; I hope President Trump is at least open to the possibility.

Israeli Education Minister: Next Lebanon War Must Target Civilians

Israeli military officials have been saying for the last several years that it’s pretty clear Hezbollah doesn’t want another war with Israel, with the belief that Hezbollah is more focused on fighting against ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria than on border skirmishes with Israel.

Still, the 2006 Israeli invasion of Lebanon was very popular on the far-right, and even though Israel was roundly criticized for the civilian toll of their invasion, many are eager to make clear that the next war, which they consider an inevitability, will involve even more deliberate targeting of Lebanese civilians.

That was the message of Education Minister Naftali Bennett today, and while it was couched as a response to Lebanon’s President recognizing that Hezbollah’s militia forces, which have been helping defend the border from ISIS and al-Qaeda raids, are “essential” to Lebanon’s defense.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the deliberate targeting of non-combatant civilians in Lebanon, in a mass genocide, is Bennett's "Final Solution" for the people of Lebanon?!?

There are a few people in history who would absolutely have LOVED this guy!!!

THOUSANDS OF US TROOPS HEAD TO KUWAIT TO FIGHT IN SYRIA, IRAQ

Instead of directly deploying thousands of additional ground troops into Iraq or Syria, the sort of precipitous escalation that might get Congress voting on the war, the Trump Administration appears to have decided that the solution is to send thousands of US ground troops to Kuwait, and let the commanders in Iraq and Syria just take what they want.

Early reports of this strategy emerged Wednesday, when officials said there were considerations of sending around 1,000 troops into Kuwait for this operation. Just two days later, the figure was up to at least 2,500, with signs that it is continuing to grow all the time.

While President Obama was micromanaging the escalations, particularly in Iraq, where every couple of weeks another hundred or two troops would be sent, the Trump Administration appears to be throwing the troops into a big pile and leaving the deployments up to the commanders.

WIKILEAKS VAULT 7 RELEASE PAINTS A GRIM PICTURE FOR JOURNALISM

Wikileaks’ recent disclosure of the CIA’s hacking and surveillance capabilities highlights a frightening new reality for today’s journalists. Considering the CIA’s penchant for silencing and intimidating reporters and editors, journalists will have to overcome greater odds to protect the public’s right to know.

This threat is particularly concerning given that the U.S. government – particularly the CIA – has a documented penchant for silencing and intimidating journalists with whom they take issue. Encrypted messaging programs have been touted as a solution for journalistic privacy in the post-Snowden world. The messaging app Signal, in particular, has been endorsed by prominent journalists and even Snowden himself.

However, some journalists have noted that Signal and other similar apps do not necessarily protect those under targeted surveillance, a concerning fact given that journalists are more likely to be targeted than other members of the general public for surveillance.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION MOVES TO APPROVE NEW ARMS SALES TO SAUDI ARABIAN WAR CRIMINALS

First, here’s a little background from The Washington Post:

The State Department has approved a resumption of weapons sales that critics have linked to Saudi Arabia’s bombing of civilians in Yemen, a potential sign of reinvigorated U.S. support for the kingdom’s involvement in its neighbor’s ongoing civil war.

The proposal from the State Department would reverse a decision made late in the Obama administration to suspend the sale of precision guided munitions to Riyadh, which leads a mostly Arab coalition conducting airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

While the U.S. military has provided support to the Saudi-led air campaign since 2015, including aerial refueling for Saudi jets and a U.S. advisory mission in the Saudi operations headquarters, the Obama administration sought to scale back that support last year amid alleged Saudi strikes on civilian targets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here, please.

Collective punishment is defined as a war crime; by aiding, arming, and abetting the Saudis, the US government has become complicit in war crimes.

That you don't understand this, or do, and it doesn't matter, angers me to the core of my being.

Not only are the Saudi military killing innocent men, women, and children; they have also closed down the Yemeni ports, so no food aid can get in, and because of this, Yemeni children are literally starving to death.

But there is a much larger part of the puzzle here which needs to see the light of day.

"The Yemeni archipelago of Socotra in the Indian Ocean is located some 80km off the Horn of Africa and 380 km South of the Yemeni coastline. The islands of Socotra are a wildlife reserve recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site. Maritime trade from East and Southern Africa to Western Europe also transits within proximity of Socotra, through the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. A military base in Socotra could be used to oversee the movement of vessels including war ships in and out of the Gulf of Aden. Amjed Jaaved, in A new hot-spot of rivalry, Pakistan Observer, Jul 1 2009, points out:

"The Indian Ocean is a major sea lane connecting the Middle East, East Asia and Africa with Europe and the Americas. It has four crucial access waterways facilitating international maritime trade, that is the Suez Canal in Egypt, the Bab-el-Mandeb, bordering Djibouti and Yemen, the Straits of Hormuz, bordering Iran and Oman, and the Straits of Malacca, bordering Indonesia and Malaysia. These choke points are critical to world oil trade as huge amounts of oil pass through them.

From a military standpoint, the Socotra archipelago is at a strategic maritime crossroads. Morever, the archipelago extends over a relatively large maritime area at the Eastern exit of the Gulf of Aden, from the island of Abd al Kuri, to the main island of Socotra. This maritime area of international transit lies in Yemeni territorial waters. The objective of the US is to police the entire Gulf of Aden seaway, from the Yemeni to the Somali coastline. Socotra is some 3000 km from the US naval base of Diego Garcia, which is among the US’s largest overseas military facilities."

Images: massive US military buildup on Socotra

So this whole, sordid genocide of the Yemeni people isn't really about the Houthi rebels, and the "danger" they allegedly present to Yemen; it is about US military power projection in Middle Eastern waterways.

EX-CIA BOSS BLAMES MILLENNIALS FOR WAVE OF DAMNING GOVERNMENT LEAKS

The CIA’s chickens have come home to roost as distrust of the agency swells amid recent revelations from WikiLeaks regarding the agency’s extensive spying and hacking practices.

Rather than examining the problems inherent to the CIA’s extensive power to hack into smart phones, for example, the government has focused its efforts on a quest to discover who leaked the sensitive documents. In one apparent attempt to explain away the damning findings, former CIA Director Michael Hayden recently told BBC news that millennials are the weak link because they do not view loyalty and secrecy in the same light as previous generations.

“In order to do this kind of stuff, we have to recruit from a certain demographic,” he said in reference to government surveillance. “And I don’t mean to judge them at all, but this group of millennials and related groups simply have different understandings of the words loyalty, secrecy, and transparency than certainly my generation did.”

He continued:

Webmaster's Commentary:

And to whom, precisely, is the CIA loyal?!?

NOT to We the People, that is a moral certainty!

They are loyal to the warmongers, the military industrial complex, and the monied, whose interests align with their own.

Obamacare II – Return of the Walking Dead

Hillary Clinton isn’t Snapchatting images of her new haircut while President Donald Trump steers the ship of state simply because she’s only slightly more likeable than a pit viper. But they nailed it shut with Obamacare.

Jury convicts 2 of conspiracy in Malheur standoff

A jury on Friday convicted two men of conspiracy to impede federal officers during an armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Eastern Oregon.

The verdict Friday handed prosecutors a measure of redemption after they failed to convict Ammon and Ryan Bundy along with five other occupiers in a high-profile trial last fall involving the takeover of the remote bird sanctuary southeast of Portland.

In the current trial, Jason Patrick and Darryl Thorn were found guilty of conspiracy. However, defendants Duane Ehmer and Jake Ryan were found not guilty of conspiracy. Ehmer and Ryan were found guilty of deprivation of government property.

The Inconvenient Truth About American Wages

My grandmother used to say, “You can put truth in the river five days after a lie; truth is gone catch up.”

Well, here’s the truth: The working men and women of this country are working more jobs and more hours, and they’re still barely hanging on. Beneath those fingertips, they can feel that middle-class dream – the American dream – slipping right away from them. It’s time for President Trump to do something about it.

I come from Ohio. It’s where I was born, and it’s where my roots run deep. We are humble, proud and hard-working people who’ve been battered by the twin storms of globalization and greed.

This past weekend, I was in another state full of humble, proud, and hard-working people; I marched with workers from the Nissan plant in Canton, Miss.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not accidental.

For years, most of the protests came from middle-class workers; for the monied and the US Government, the easiest way of cutting down the protest was destroying the Middle Class in this country, and that is nearly what they have done.

Syria: Dangerous Fracture in US, Turkey and Russian Interests, as Operation to Oust ISIS from Raqqa Begins

Here’s where the tension lies: the United States may also have sent in ground assets as show of force in support of its allies the YPG (Kurdish People’s Protect Units in Syria). This is a potential spat between the two NATO member states – which is a major problem for Turkey. The Turkish government considers them a terrorist organisation, an appendage to its nemesis the Kurdish PKK. It’s also a problem for Russia too, insofar as Russia is attempting détente with Turkey by coordinating military operations as they pertain to fighting ISIS in northern Syria, and with the eventual joint siege of Raqqa.

Freshman Congressman Who Said Some People "Just Don't Want Health Care And Aren't Going To Take Care Of Themselves" To Hold "Listening Tour" In Kansas This Week

Newly elected Congressman Roger Marshall, representing the 1st district of Kansas, is an OB-GYN who has delieverd 5,000 babies. Marshall made some comments in an interview last week which caught him a lot of flak. He explained his position and announced that he will hold a "Listening Tour" with nine stops in Kansas next week. In an earlier interview Marshall had said "Just like Jesus said, 'The poor will always be with us,' There is a group of people that just don't want health care and aren't going to take care of themselves. Just, like, homeless people. I think just morally, spiritually, socially, just don't want health care. The Medicaid population, which is a free credit card, as a group, do probably the least preventive medicine and taking care of themselves and eating healthy and exercising. And I'm not judging, I'm just saying socially that's where they are.

David Friedman, Staunch Settlement Backer, Approved by Senate Panel as Envoy to Israel

Friedman confirmed by the Foreign Relations Committee on the force of the GOP majority and one Democratic vote. The nomination now awaits the approval of the Senate floor.

The fact that Menendez was the sole Democrat to vote in favor of the nomination, thus providing it with a minimal level of bipartisan cover, didn't come as a surprise. Menendez, like Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), was one of only four Democrats to vote against the Iran deal in 2015. He comes from New Jersey, a state with a large Jewish population, and has important supporters and donors from the more right-wing and Orthodox segments of the state's Jewish community, which were generally supportive of Friedman's nomination.

Webmaster's Commentary:

FBI Director Comey's Full Speech: "Even Our Communications With Our Spouses & Our Clergy Members Are Not Absolutely Private In America"

FBI director James B. Comey gave a speech on cyber security at Boston College on March 8. Short provocative snippets of his speech are circulating on the internet, particularly a clip where he says that "Even our memories are not absolutely private." But here is his speech in its' entirety. Comey did indeed say some outrageous things, particularly where he said that the conversations with our spouses and even our clergyman are not private and can be compelled by the government to reveal what was said. To his credit, towards the end of his speech, Comey did say that maybe he is wrong, and that he, and the FBI, should be humble.

HOUSE PASSES $578 BILLION MILITARY SPENDING BILL

The House of Representatives today voted 371-48, with massive majorities in both parties, in favor of another $578 billion military spending bill to cover the remainder of fiscal year 2017. The bill now moves on to the Senate, where it again is expected to easily pass.

The exact meaning of the figures is a little difficult to understand this time around, because Congress had already passed a military spending bill for fiscal year 2017 back in December, which was $611 billion. That bill was only ever intended to be a fraction of what was to be spent, aiming to give way to a second “emergency” bill before April, which is today’s bill, which would cover the rest of the year. That said, there is a lot of overlap between the two and the overall budget is not just a matter of adding the two together.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to President Trump and Congress: please spend this money more wisely than it has been spent in the past, particularly when it comes to America's weapons makers.

The practice of delivering weapons which are obsolete upon delivery; which do not perform as advertised; or have horrific cost over-runs cannot, and should not be tolerated by the US government or We the People.

This is an unprecedented escalation of US involvement in the Syrian war and it comes without Congressional authorization, without UN authorization, and without the authorization of the government of Syria. In short it is three ways illegal.

SPIES TELL LIES, SPYING IS LYING

In recent articles, I’ve highlighted items from the latest WikiLeaks data-dump of CIA files. For example:

The CIA’s use of other nations’ hacking tools, in order to give the impression that, when the CIA hacks into secret areas, it looks like other nations did the hacking.

All this is SOP for the CIA and intelligence agencies around the world.

Spies tell lies. A day without lying is a day without joy.

Naïve people are shocked that the CIA could have fabricated the whole “Russia hacked the US election” story. But this is what the CIA does. This is another day at the office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why I can never believe anything the US government ever says, again, in my lifetime; I understand that everything that comes out of this government is engineered to support an "agenda", usually one closely tied with either wars, overt and covert, and regime change, to change the leadership of a foreign government to its liking.

As is happening in Yemen today, the US government is totally, morally, and completely comfortable in being a willing participant to war crimes. The following, horrific images, are courtesy of the US government being complicit in the war crimes of Saudi Arabia in Yemen. Schools, hospitals, and open air market places are being shot indiscriminately, and with impunity, by Saudi troops and Yemeni children are getting mortally wounded, and killed from these attacks.

Those "lucky ones" who survive are slowly being starved to death, because the Saudis refuse to allow any food aid to get from the ports to the interior of the country.

images: Yemeni children being wounded and killed by Saudi air strikes

Images: Yemeni children being starved to death by Saudi port blockades

But are you seeing these images on the American presstitute media, controlled by the "Spooks are Us" alphabet soup agencies?!?

Hell, no!

The presstitutes and those agencies don't even want the American people to know this war exists, which is why, as a Christian Witness, I feel compelled to share these images with our readers.

In the most peaceful and logical way possible, I am morally obliged to politely remind President Trump that collective punishment .....is a war crime

IT TOOK $4 IN NEW DEBT TO CREATE $1 IN GDP

Bill Gross' letter discussing the credit deluge hitting the US came out at a convenient time: just as the Federal Reserve released its latest Flow of Funds report, which while most track to show the change in average household net worth - which is almost entirely a function of the stock market - we find it far more valuable for its nuanced information on the breakdown of US debt. And while it showed that in the fourth quarter, the net worth of US residents, mostly the wealthy ones as the bulk of financial assets is held by a small fraction of the total population, rose by $2 trillion to $92 trillion mostly as a result of a $1.5 increase in financial assets....

... we were more interest in the aggregate picture.

It wasn't pretty.

This is truly scary; it is not a question of IF the US economy collapses; it is only a question of when.

IT’S EDWARD BERNAYS’ BIRTHDAY, HERE’S HOW HIS PROPAGANDA STILL CONTROLS YOU

In the early 20th century, there was growing discontent among the general public, who had finally become tired of being treated like second class citizens. The people began to hold strikes, boycotts and take any action they could to weaken the establishment, in hopes to bring about a more humane society and working environment. This was bad news for those in control because they need the cooperation of the average person to build their empires and fill the ranks in their armies.

The government and corporations needed a more respectable image, and that need gave rise to the public relations movement. There were many minds that made this movement possible, but the field itself is most typically associated with a man named Edward Bernays. Bernays is known as the father of public relations not because he was the first or only person to study propaganda, but rather because he was the first person to explain its practical use in a published work.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why the (alleged) "educational standards" in Common Core do not teach critical thinking; they want people to stay as far away from facts as humanly possible, in order to create the hive mind, in which one does not think, but follows its leadership lavishly, no matter how completely wrong that leadership may be in their perceptions and actions.

America in Turmoil: From Deep State Insurgency to Deep State Spying – WikiLeaks’ Vault 7

Even those not following the latest evidence of the tyrannical noose tightening around our necks, know something has gone terribly wrong in America. Through NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden’s revelations four years ago, we learned that US citizens, as well as foreign countries, are the most spied upon in human history. But this week’s latest massive WikiLeaks’ release, aka Vault 7, amounts to almost 9,000 pages of CIA documents collected from 2013 through 2016 that disclose highly classified hacking secrets. With this largest dump of confidential CIA files ever published, the world is beginning to realize just how far gone our privacy rights are, becoming virtually nonexistent under traitor Obama’s second term in office.

Brussels accused of INDOCTRINATING children with pro-EU classroom programme

“The Blue Star programme is an attempt by Europhiles to get to the children, who then go home to their mums and dads.

“It is weird to see political education be reintroduced to school.”

He said it was an attempt to stem any rise in Euroscepticism in Ireland and help defeat an in-out EU vote “10 or 15 years in the future.”

16 Year Congressman: CIA Leak Shows We’re “Sliding Down the Slippery Slope Toward Totalitarianism, Where Private Lives Do Not Exist”

That the CIA has reached into the lives of all Americans through its wholesale gathering of the nation’s “haystack” of information has already been reported.

It is bad enough that the government spies on its own people. It is equally bad that the CIA, through its incompetence, has opened the cyberdoor to anyone with the technological skills and connections to spy on anyone else.

The constant erosion of privacy at the hands of the government and corporations has annihilated the concept of a “right to privacy,” which is embedded in the rationale of the First, Third, Fourth, Ninth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

It is becoming increasingly clear that we are sliding down the slippery slope toward totalitarianism, where private lives do not exist.

We have entered a condition of constitutional crisis that requires a full-throated response from the American people.

The Most Shocking Revelation From The CIA-Spying Scandal (so far)

Yesterday Wikileaks released 8,761 CIA documents detailing the agency’s hacking of smart phones, routers, computers, and even televisions.

These files reveal that the CIA can and has hacked devices that were supposedly secure– iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.

The documents further reveal that the CIA is deliberately infecting personal computers with spyware, including Windows, Mac OS/X, Solaris, Linux, and other operating systems.

They’re also hacking WiFi routers to deploy software that monitors Internet activity, and have even figured out how to bypass anti-virus software so that their spyware cannot be detected.

They’ve also managed to make the rest of the world believe that Russian hackers, not the CIA, are behind all this malware and spyware.

It’s like a restatement of that old Mission: Impossible line– “Should any of your IM force be caught or killed… we’ll blame Russia.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the good old days, webcams came with built-in privacy shields, power and WiFi switches were mechanical devices that actually shut things off, you could take the batteries out of your cell phones and tablets, etc.

Interesting how that all went away!

"The American Public Should Be Deeply Troubled" - CIA Issues Statement On Wikileaks Hack

On Wednesday afternoon, one day after the release of over 8,000 pages of documents revealing the extensive hacking infrastructure established by the CIA to allow it to penetrate the privacy of virtually any US citizen, the CIA's Dean Boyd, Director at the office of public affairs, issued a statement in response to what Wikileaks has dubbed the biggest publication of confidential CIA material in history. In short, while the CIA does not deny that the documents are authentic, it defends itself by saying that its "mission is to aggressively collect foreign intelligence overseas to protect America from terrorists, hostile nation states and other adversaries. It is CIA's job to be innovative, cutting-edge, and the first line of defense in protecting this country from enemies abroad. America deserves nothing less."

The President Who Created the CIA Came to Regret It … Said the CIA Was a “Government All Its Own” Which Was Destroying Democracy … “Something the Founding Fathers Didn’t Have In Mind”

President Truman created the CIA.

He explained that it was solely an attempt to consolidate intelligence from many different intelligence agencies (page 285):

I needed … the President needed at that time a central organization that would bring all the various intelligence reports we were getting in those days, and there must have been a dozen of them, maybe more, bring them all into one organization so that the President would get one report on what was going on in various parts of the world. Now that made sense, and that’s why I went ahead and set up what they called the Central Intelligence Agency.

But in the 1970s, he told his biographer, Merle Miller (page 285):

I think [creation of the CIA] was a mistake. And if I’d know what was going to happen, I never would have done it.

WikiLeaks says Tuesday's massive dump of documents on CIA hacking was 'less than one percent' of what they have on the spy agency

Instead, the government have focused on age verification practices for porn websites (opening up serious fraud concerns), given themselves “inappropriate” and “unfettered” powers to share citizen data across the public sector, destroy any semblance of privacy laws and strangle free speech even further.

Obama Turned CIA and FBI Into Instruments Of The State: “Their Missions Cannot Be Fulfilled In A Manner Beneficial To The Defense Of The United States”

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was created in 1947 at the direction of President Truman. It had “evolved” from the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) used to perform clandestine military and espionage operations during World War II. The legal framework used to justify the CIA’s operations took several forms. The National Security Act of 1947 allowed the CIA special exemptions from the normal Congressional oversight.

The 1947 Act contained a provision that allowed the CIA “to perform such other functions and duties related to intelligence…as the National Security Council may from time to time direct.” This was followed (and expanded upon) by the Central Intelligence Agency Act of 1949, and subsequent charters and Presidential Directives that eventually enabled it to operate (almost unrestricted) at the direction of the President while effectively bypassing accountability to Congress.

The New Media World Order

In only a few months, the content of the Western national and international medias has undergone profound change. We are witnessing the birth of an Entente about which we know almost nothing – neither the real initiators nor the real objectives – but whose direct anti-democratic consequences can be noticed immediately.

Shameless Coalition Propaganda and the War on Yemen

The Wall Street Journal gives the UAE’s ambassador a platform to recite the Saudi-led coalition’s propaganda:

Checking Iranian aggression will not be easy, but the stability of the region depends upon it. Holding the country to its commitments would be an important first step. Rebuilding America’s ties to its traditional partners in the region would be another. So too would be directly confronting Iranian interference in places like Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The nearly two-year Saudi War against Yemen happened because the Houthi rebels overthrew the "anointed", western-centric President, Monsour Al Hadi.

And BTW, pop quiz; when Al-Hadi was "elected" as President, how many other names were on the Yemeni ballot?!?

None.

Yemen election: one person; one vote; one candidate

The Saudi government and military have opted for a "scorched earth" policy in their fight against the Houthi rebels, which means infrastructure has been destroyed; schools, hospitals, water treatment plants, and open air market places have all been bombed by the Saudis. Children are being maimed and killed by these airstrikes; additionally, Yemeni children are starving to death, because the Saudi military has blocked all the Yemeni ports, to insure that food cannot get in.

The US government is selling the Saudi military the bombs with which to commit this genocide against the Yemeni people, and providing "bombing targeting".

I would like to politely remind President Trump, as a Christian witness, and Christian Pacifist Activist, that collective punishment, as is being visited upon the the Yemeni people, courtesy of the Saudi Military, is a war crime, and US governmental assistance in this matter makes the US government complicit in war crimes.

And Mr. President, the following graphic and horrific images are the results of these Saudi war crimes, and US government's aiding and abetting them:

Images: wounded and killed Yemeni children, resulting from Saudi air strikes

Images: starving Yemeni children, due to Saudi Yemen port blockade

Yes, Mr. President, these images are terrible; but THIS is what Saudi Arabia is doing to the children of Yemen every day. You're a dad, and a grandfather, so I implore you to understand that slaughtering the children of a country....is taking away that country's future.

Trump’s Pentagon Moves Into Syria’s ManbijUS Troops Deploy With Kurdish Forces to Prevent Turkish Invasion

Turkey’s capture of the ISIS city of al-Bab last week set in motion a race for the city of Manbij, which Kurdish forces captured from ISIS last year, and which Turkish officials had long insisted would be their next target after al-Bab.

Several nations have interests in not seeing Turkey attack the Kurds, but on Monday, US troops were the first to the scene, with a deployment inside the city of Manbij, where they will embed with Kurdish forces as a “sign of deterrence.”

By the end of Monday, Syrian and Russian troops were also in the vicinity, with the Kurds having brokered a deal to give Syrian forces all the villages ringing Manbij, which would mean Turkey can’t advance with attacking Syrian government villages. Russia sent some forces into the area too to back Syria’s new claims.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Turkey's territorial claims against certain areas of Syria are very troubling.

CIA LEAK: "RUSSIAN ELECTION HACKERS" MAY WORK IN LANGLEY

Attribution of cyber-intrusions and attacks is nearly impossible. A well executed attack can not be traced back to its culprit. If there are some trails that seem attributable one should be very cautions following them. They are likely faked.

Hundreds if not thousands of reports show that this lesson has not been learned. Any attack is attributed to one of a handful of declared "enemies" without any evidence that would prove their actual involvement.

Examples:

In June 2016 we warned The Next "Russian Government Cyber Attack" May Be A Gulf of Tonkin Fake:

All one might see in a [cyber-]breach, if anything, is some pattern of action that may seem typical for one adversary. But anyone else can imitate such a pattern as soon as it is known. That is why there is NEVER a clear attribution in such cases.
Anyone claiming otherwise is lying or has no idea what s/he is speaking of.
There is now public proof that this lecture in basic IT forensic is correct.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bottom line; this is another "We have met the enemy, and he...is us!" moments!!

Ernst Zundel Documentary 'Off Your Knees, Germany!'

This is an outstanding and very powerful documentary about the life of Ernst Zundel during the years 1983-2003 and what became known as "the great holocaust trial" in Canada. "It's just ludicrous to consider that these facilities could have been used for gas chambers," said gas-chamber expert Fred Leuchter in an exclusive interview during the film. This film is an hour and a half in length and well worth it.

THE EVER-GROWING LIST OF ADMITTED FALSE FLAG ATTACKS

In the following instances, officials in the government which carried out the attack (or seriously proposed an attack) admit to it, either orally, in writing, or through photographs or videos:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very concerned about a false flag in and around North Korea/South Korea/Japan/Hawaii, to make it look as though Kim Jung-Un had deliberately attacked a US base in Japan or South Korea or Hawaii as an excuse to attack North Korea directly.

You've got a 320,000 member contingent of Korean and American military deployed for two months' worth of exercises, including a destroyer, fighter jets, and a contingent of support vessels in this exercise.

Two months is a long time for such exercises, and the longer they last, the greater the probability that something could be conjured by the US military to make it look as though North Korea made American military assets their targets.

And right on cue, we have the following headline this morning from freebeacon.com:

North Korea Could Soon Launch Attack on Hawaii,

followed by the following headline on drudge.com:

Japanese lawmakers argue for first strike against North Korea

And then, from the folks who seem to be the adults in the geopolitical playpen, again on drudge.com:

China urges US and N. Korea to avert 'head-on collision'

the article then goes on to say:

" China warned Wednesday that North Korea and the United States were like two trains racing towards a "head-on collision," calling on both sides to apply the brakes and avert a security crisis.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi's warning came after a cascade of events that has sent regional tensions soaring, including provocative North Korean missile tests and annual US-South Korean wargames that infuriate Pyongyang.

Beijing itself is particularly concerned over an American missile-defence system being rolled out in South Korea as a shield against the North Korean threat, but which Wang said also "undermines China's strategic security."

He called on North Korea to suspend its nuclear and missile activities in exchange for the US and South Korea halting the military exercises."

China's Foreign Minister Yi is making a lot of horse-sense here, but his proposal needs to go further.

What needs to happen is for a 4-Way Peace Conference to happen, involving China, the US government, and North and South Korea. What the objective of such a peace conference should be is the replacement of the armistice, which is simply a cessation of fighting between North and South Korea, and replacing it with a true peace treaty between both countries, with guarantees of trade, for which North Korea will entirely end its nuclear weapons program.

Of course, that...would be logical.

And most unfortunately, the US Deep State sees a war against North Korea as a back door to a war against China.

However, I would strongly caution the US Deep State with the following caveat; at this moment in time, the US military does not have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money; or the manufacturing (most of which has been shipped overseas) to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against China.

This is the God's truth; and those in power who do not understand this are setting this country up for a potential massive military misadventure that We the People absolutely do not need, particularly after the total fluster-clucks which were - and are - the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pennsylvanians are facing a horrendous loss of freedom of healthcare choices together with interference in their constitutional rights relative to valid informed consent and the right to self-determination regarding vaccines/vaccinations, plus the deliberate and mandatory imposition of fraudulent vaccine information regarding pseudoscience in vaccinology from the unfortunate introduction of SB 217 in the current legislative session [2017-18] by four Pennsylvania Senators.

11 ARRESTED IN SWEDEN AS MIGRANTS RIOT, HURL ROCKS AT POLICE

As the European Union continues to threaten member states with fines for "falling short" of fulfilling their duties to help international refugees (see "EU Threatens Member States With Fines Over Failure To Accept Refugees"), the daily reminders of why a wave of nationalism is sweeping over Europe in defiance of Merkel's open border policies continue to mount.

The latest example comes from Hallsberg, Sweden where police were called in to stop a brawl at the Alléskolan school that erupted between some 30 people and ultimately resulted in 11 migrants being arrested as they hurled stones at police. Per RT:

A total of 30 people took part in the brawl, which occurred on Monday, Sveriges Radio reported, citing police. They were all wearing hoods and threw stones at the officers, who were called to the scene of the Alléskolan school after reports of a disturbance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Police Spokesperson Dangardt, this was NOT "...a riot-like situation,”, THIS WAS A FULL ON RIOT!!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

The fake news blitz by a Deep State, flailing about trying to retain their power and wealth, has reached frantic proportions. The left wingers, egged on by Obama and funded by Soros, hold increasingly inane protests with themes like: wear a vagina hat to support feminazis; hug an illegal immigrant; everyone I hate is a Nazi; and women take another day off and no one notices. The traitorous neo-con warmongers like McCain, Graham, and Kristol see their enormously profitable never ending global conflict agenda at risk. The military industrial complex needs enemies. The left wingers and neo-cons have joined forces to utilize the fake Russian election intervention propaganda in a last ditch desperate attempt to derail the Trump presidency before it starts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to our world, Jim Quinn!!

Podesta Didn’t Register As A ‘Foreign Agent’ When He Represented A Bank With Ties To Russian Spy Agencies

Democratic super lobbyist Tony Podesta failed to register under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) when he agreed to represent Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank.

Sberbank allegedly has close ties to Russia’s intelligence services, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned.

Marc Raimondi, the national security spokesman at the Department of Justice, confirmed to TheDCNF that Sberbank never registered with the department under FARA. It did not directly register nor was it registered through any other agency such as the Podesta Group.

“The FARA Registration Unit personnel conducted a search related to your questions and can confirm that the search terms — Sberbank CIB USA, Inc., or Sberbank — are not currently (nor previously have been) registered under FARA,” he informed TheDCNF in an email.

US JUDGE RULES AGAINST TRIBES SEEKING TO STOP DAKOTA ACCESS PIPELINE

A federal judge has denied the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe’s request to block the final phase of the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline. The tribe had argued that the presence of the pipeline desecrated its sacred land and water.

The final leg of the pipeline is set to be built under Lake Oahe in North Dakota. The Cheyenne River Sioux sought a preliminary injunction against the construction because they use the lake for sacred ceremonies. They argued that the project would interfere with their religious practices.

US District Judge James Boasberg dismissed the tribe’s arguments on Tuesday.

“Cheyenne River’s religious-exercise claim ... involves a government action — granting an easement to Dakota Access to build and operate a pipeline — regarding the use of federal land —the land under Lake Oahe — that has an incidental, if serious, impact on a tribe’s ability to practice its religion because of spiritual desecration of a sacred site,” he wrote in his 38-page decision.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Due to intense cost over-runs, due to delays, this project may be value-engineered to the point where it does foul the local water, making it undrinkable for the tribes which call this area home.

I would like to hope that doesn't happen, but there have been a number of precedents to accidents like this.

CIA providing raw intelligence as Trump-Russia probes heat up

Lawmakers are trekking to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, to review classified evidence on Russia’s involvement in the presidential election. The House has scheduled its first public hearing on the issue. And the Senate is preparing to interview witnesses.

The congressional investigations into ties between President Donald Trump's campaign and Russian officials are in full swing.

For months, the leaders of the House and Senate intelligence committees said their investigations into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election were in their “initial” stages. On Tuesday, it became clear that the probes had moved into a new phase.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK: but WHAT DID RUSSIA ACTUALLY DO TO ATTEMPT TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?!?!?

Folks, I am betting that there is no "there" here.

How can you stop YOUR TV and car spying on you? Experts reveal how to stay safe in light of WikiLeaks bombshell

The publication by WikiLeaks of documents it says are from the CIA's secret hacking program describe tools that can turn a world of increasingly networked, camera- and microphone-equipped devices into eavesdroppers.

Smart televisions and automobiles now have on-board computers and microphones, joining the ubiquitous smartphones, laptops and tablets that have had microphones and cameras as standard equipment for a decade.

That the CIA has created tools to turn them into listening posts surprises no one in the security community.
